Do not go here!! The service was not great and our server was acting luke we were and inconvenience to her before we had even given our drink orders. The only thing good here was the potato skin appetizer and the fries which came with the pulled pork. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich which came out watery and the bread was mushy. The sandwich just didn’t taste right. Another member of my party ordered a burger well done and it still had some pink in it. Finally, the house salad that came with the burger was inedible due to the balsamic dressing that was served, that was like sludge. Not a great spot especially for the price!!

We ate here after the worker at Black Dog recommended it. There were 10 of us 7 adults and 3 kids and we sat right away at 2 on a Monday. We were happy to get in because it was absolutely pouring rain. So our bill was 200.00. That was for 7 adult meals and 3 kids meals. We paid 20$ for a box of Kraft mac and cheese that was pretty dried out. So that was not good. I got the lobster roll for 32.00 and it was not big, but lobster is pricey especially in MV. Anyway I did get a Diet Coke and I’m not sure if it was free refills because I only got one refill and I had to ask for that one.

Pub/bar with decent priced, tasty food. Family of four adults stopped in at 3 pm on a Thursday, place was empty but looks like plenty of seating for busier times. Each of us had a sandwich or burger dish, including a side, around $15 each. Nothing super fancy, but affordable and filling. Air conditioned, inside seating with view of street and pedestrian traffic. Would recommend!

Food was fine and cool old school atmosphere. Service wasn’t great, they forgot one entree salad and then when we asked they brought it without dressing and we had to wait again to track someone down. A big group of staff seemed very focused on putting a bunch of tables together for a large party so maybe that was the issue.

A nice local tavern. Service was good. She brought out the wrong drink but fixed it when asked. Food was fine. The pasta dish was supposed to be in a white wine sauce, but came out in red tomato-based sauce. We didn’t opt to try to address the issue since we were on a timeline. The fish and chips was ok- two smaller pieces of fish, and not as buttery or flaky as I would normally expect. But not bad. The burger patty was on the thinner side and had a pool of grease sitting in the middle, but my 5 year old gobbled it up. Atmosphere was quiet and clean.

Excellent location and the food quality matches it. The chowder fries definitely stand out and are a must-try here. We ordered the pastrami with side caesar. Good service. Cocktails: don’t get the Paloma. No where near a Paloma cocktail. Perhaps the bartender was training, I’m not sure. But don’t waste your money on that. Get the frozen cocktails, you can’t go wrong if it’s already all premixed, can’t mess that one up. We ordered the salad and it was good. I asked for extra vinaigrette because they don’t put much on it. Also we ordered lobster and it was good. We also ordered the cod. It was plentiful and good as well. Very casual place. Nothing fancy at all. Very warm and welcoming. Management could step it up with cleanliness however. There was no soap in the men’s bathroom. That to me is inexcusable because the workers aren’t washing their hands with soap! That to me is pretty gross! And a reflection on the management team.

Our server was very nice, but the service was very slow. The food was just ok. We come here every year, looking forward to the stuffed Quahog appetizer. It was gone from what appeared a greatly diminished menu. $100 including a 10% tip (for the slow service) for two without alcoholic beverages seemed high. I don’t know if these issues are particular to this restaurant or common to all restaurants these days, especially here on the Vineyard.

We left Oak Bluffs due to a power outage and went to Edgartown by bus. We looked for a well-rated place that wasn’t on the main drag and found the Wharf. We arrived at around noon and got there at the right time. The crowds started to arrive soon thereafter. Rain had arrived which probably slowed the crowds.Drinks were good. Personally I had the Cobb salad which was so-so but the rest of our party had some kind of fish and they were pleased with their meals. All in all a cool little place that isn’t too expensive and a respite from the weather. Disappointed. While it was off season so its mostly locals, do not keep trying to buy someone shots when they tell you NO. The insistent badgering of the obviously drunk patron was extremely off putting and had me leaving before I would have. The continued service to the obviously drunk patron by the bartender was insulting as was the bartender doing shots with said obviously drunk patron. The grilled chicken sandwich was a piece of chicken on a bun.....sans pickles or any type of condiments, and while the chicken was juicy, with nothing else in the sandwich it was dry and hard to get through. Everything you add (other than the pickles the sandwich is supposed to come with) is an additional charge(s).The pretzel sticks and beer cheese were good and a lot for the appetizer amount (13 4in sticks), enough for a meal by itself or definitely to share. The obviously drunk patrons that continued to be served was the main issue. I dont care if they are regulars and the locals. They are drunk and you keep them more providing more alcohol is where I find elsewhere to dine next time Im there.

My friend had prearranged entry with Diane for her bachelorette party and MATT refused to let our party in, telling us the venue was full before pushing us aside as he let 5 of his friends in ahead. The bouncers tried to ask us to bribe them for entry and when we refused, MATT yelled at my friend, who finally came in sobbing. When we did enter, the venue was half empty, the night entirely underwhelming after all that! I could give 0/10 stars I would. Attend at your own risk. There are many other venues in the area. In all honesty one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to on the vineyard. Came here to enjoy dinner with a few friends and was genuinely very excited. The clam chowder was good but that’s really about it. The burger, lobster roll, and calamari were mediocre. I had also gotten a cocktail and it genuinely was disgusting. On top of it the waitress forgot half of my table’s food and by the time we had asked the kitchen was closed and when we asked about what would be done she was extremely rude. We have an unexpected experience at a supposedly “cozy” restaurant in Martha’s vineyard. Upon getting there and asking for a table for 7, we were told that we wouldn’t be able to sit together due to COVID regulations and that we had to get some food within the first 1 1/2h. We understood and got seated in 2 separate tables. Until then everything was fine. We ordered drinks and some small plates and informed the waiter that we’d like to order some more food later. What is our surprise when THE MANAGER comes with our check within the hour without having asked for it.We took a breathe in, ignored the rude gesture and called the waiter to order our dinner. It included 2 lobster plates at “Market price” that were told was 25$, a chicken sandwich and a salad with a “side of fries”, as was ordered (sides were 4$). The service wasn’t great despite having a fairly empty restaurant and the chicken on the chicken sandwich was burned. But the big surprise came with the check. The market price had changed from 25 to 30$. When confronted the waiter about it, he stated that it was because of the taxes (that were clearly outlined at the bottom of the check, as usual. Was it his first time seeing a check? We’ll never know). We explained to him that that could not be and then he said that the Market price had changed. How cool! I did not know Lobster plates followed the Wall Street prices at the island. Frankly interesting. Then I noticed that my fries were 10$. When I asked about it, he said that I could not have gotten any side with a salad, so that he unilaterally decided to get me a small plate of fries. WITHOUT TELLING THE CUSTOMER.Then we noticed that the tip was 20% (at that point completely undeserved) and at that point we called the manager. The manager explained that despite not sitting together nor sharing any plate or the check, we were one party and therefore automatically charged the 20%. We started explaining our concerns with the service and he literally said that we were a party of 7 and walked away. We had to call him to the table 2 more times, both times turning a deaf ear to our complaints or the fact that we wanted to choose a fair tip for the server. We ended up paying and leaving to never come back. What a shame of a restaurant owner who does not even know how to acknowledge his employees’ mistakes or listen to his customers’ concerns.

Their menu and, especially, the waiting service need serious boost.Their sister restaurant, Rockfish, is a far better experience for the exactly same price for casual dining. And the new servers (older ones are excellent, off duty tonight) show no respect or any timed manners that matches the price. The menu was unchanged for several winters and it shows outdated, very underwhelming, especially, without the friendly servers, and it feels cold and abhorrent by thd time we left.Tonight, we were greeted with no one, and then, we were served by a young waitress who came to our table 7-8 times interrupting us and she was interrulting frequently to take out plates and beer glasses, indicating, hey, it is Sunday night, hurry to get out. But, we barely sat for 25-30 min when she was starting to rush us with appetizers and main dishes and a couple of pints of beers. And, we sat through juat about an hour then she touched our plates again without asking first. We sat at 6;35pm then 7: 45pm we left, feeling offended.Entering first, we clearly had them known we would sit in a quieter area to talk and wanted to sit separately from the rest, and, we were forever interrupted, and, I could not either talk or enjoy the food. Finally we stopped and asked for a box to make our own doggie bag and left.I suggest the owners, come by, monitor the behaviors, dont open the restaurant throughout the winter season or through late March, if their staff is going to abuse the customers, or because the staff feels cranky because the place is not crowded and she wont make enough tips. That is not to blame us, though. The Wharf is indeed always inconsistent, with this serving staff issue, over the years, it is the lack of the managing skill, you know who. And, the food is not as great as Rockfish for the same price. Always salty.Either make the Wharf as a cheap burger place for drinking hole/chain smoker/karaoke/diner, or,get rid of burger menus from the dinner menu and treat us respectfully.Neither. And indecisive. But, dont ever mistreat the customers like she did and others in the past during the summer months. Lack of training and respect. Lack of management.Still two more couples were coming in, when we felt pushed out at 7:45pm. We turned to see if anyone would say, thanks, good night. Nope. Still we saw two waitresses in the hall. Our waitress once she left the box out, she never came out.We will probably never go to the Wharf. This reminds me of the Atlantic when they had a hard hit with the poor management/owner absence before the owners noticed it falls. And the Alchemy with the owner/ hostess got cranky for last years before she sold it off finally. The same with Lolas. Harborview hotel restaurants stumbled, too.Poorly managed over the staff and then. Inconsistent kitchen, not getting feedbacks from the customers. Fastly fading away next. I see the same, again and again. We went there for a good time. But they were indecisive. They Wanted our money, but they wanted close the place and go home, and it wasnt even 8 pm.Make up your mind.

Very frustrating experience. If you are local... good for you... because it is obvious that people who know the hostess get preferred seating while others wait. A busy night is not a good excuse for being rude to paying customers, regardless of where they come from.I’ll told the waitress I had a shellfish allergy. After we had our appetizers she comes out and tells me that the meal I ordered, even though it was not shellfish, was fried in the same oil as the shellfish and asked if I still wanted it. I decided against it given the warning. So I ordered a burger. Then she comes out and tells me that one of the appetizers... which happened to be potato skins... I ordered were fried in the same oil as the seafood and I should have told her about the allergy before placing the order... So it wasn’t her fault if anything happened to me.However, I did tell her... or she wouldn’t have known to tell me about it.Luckily I had taken medication before we had left for dinner just in case. The nachos came out over cooked and dried out, obviously having been started before the other apps and pulled out too late. We asked if they could add some cheese to the top and just melt it slightly. The waitress offered to have they remade so that seemed good. But then she returned with them from the kitchen and said that they “warmed them up” and put them on the table adding “if you want new ones you have to wait 30 mins.30 mins to put shredded cheese on corn chips and put them under a burner? Odd.I have to say that they did comp me a cheeseburger in place of my cod... which was a burger with a piece of unmelted cheese on it.Oh... and make sure you keep track of the color of your dish if you want to take the right food home. I’ll leave that one for inquiring minds to figure out.

Had us wait 30 mins for a table then said sorry we aren’t serving food anymore. Owner/manager wouldn’t even acknowledge us or have a face to face conversation. They say kitchen closes at 9 but they closed at 8:45 as well and were so rude. They don’t deserve business. Pick another wonderful restaurant in Edgartown to eat.

Bartender didn’t even great the group of 6 people or ask if we wanted a menu. We went there wanting to spend a bunch of money on food and drinks. The service for the bartender was absolute trash. Do not expect to get a drink quick if sit at the bar with money to spend.

We recently enjoyed a great meal and awesome service at The Wharf as we celebrated a family birthday dinner for Nana/Mom.The food was terrific and the portions were generous and the waitstaff was very friendly and accommodating.I will be definitely recommending The Wharf to all my friends and be sure to visit again on my next MV visit.

Good but unimpressive food - restaurant ambiance was comfortable though generic. Service was excellent. The sort of place that works great if you just want food but isnt a destination in and of itself.

Mediocre food and service. We stayed at the Harborside Inn this week which was right across the street and the Wharf played loud music with their front door open until 12:30am, not bothering to shut their front door so we were really turned off by the Wharf and will find other pubs in future visits.

On Monday, 3/18/2013, I and a fellow attorney traveled to Edgartown on business. Our task ended at 1 p.m. and we were famished. Cold and hungry. we had been warned that the better restaurants would probably still be closed. We lurched down main street when, suddenly, this addictive aroma of grilled meat overwhelmed us and lured us into the Wharf Pub. We each ordered identically: A cup of Black Bean Soup which sent us into ecstasy. A thick stew with huge chunks of Kielbasa topped with a dollop of thick cream. One spoonful in, I said to my friend,Either Im very hungry or this is the most delicious soup Ive ever tasted. Both parts of that statement were true. We wolfed it down in no time. There followed the most superb Angus beef cheeseburger, cooked to perfection (medium rare) and smothered in sensational, crispy, non-greasy french fries. The only conversation to be heard were the sounds of two men eating as if coming off a famine. Scrumptious falls short of the mark. It was a magnificent dining experience. Ive been to ultra-expensive steak houses and savaged a filet mignon but, I swear to you, NOTHING has ever compared to this succulent burger. No unpleasant aftertaste, just the comforting experience of having experienced a culinary masterpiece. If youre ever in the area, run, dont just walk to this oasis-in-the-desert, run. Run fast. Wow! What a wonderful experience. The restaurant is a gem. No b.s.P.S. The service was gracious and courteous.

My favorite place to grab a cold beer in Edgartown. The bar is a classic, low ceilinged Pub adjacent to the restaurant. You can eat in this side too, but its a little tight. Food is good too. If you are eating and travelling with a group, ask to be seated in the back dining room, which has a super badass bar-area of its own.
