Amazing service. The waiter was super nice. We sat on the patio with our dog and the waiter brought our dog a bowl of water and told us they had a puppy menu. Food was great. My group has the fried catfish, the fish and chips, the shepherd pie and the pickle chips. Everything was awesome. Crispy light breaded pickle chips. Fish tasted so fresh. Would highly recommend. I forgot to take photos before we started eating cause it looked so good

I love this place ! We had never been and we decided to finally try it , the food was amazing and so was the service we will be back , also very reasonably priced

First time trying. Ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and their lunch special hamburger steak with gravy fries and side salad. Everything was delicious, moist, fresh and delicious! Service was fast. Drinks stayed full. Will be back to try for food

The atmosphere is awesome and the food was GREAT. Prices were good and plenty of food for sure! It is a sports bar but its very laid back and relaxed.

Food was absolutely delicious. We had the Ribeye steak sandwich (huge) was amazing and the Burger was also. We tried the Chicken Wings for an Appetizer and all the food is above average size and yumminess!! Service was okay, need more employees to help out. Atmosphere on Patio was a Plus!

So smokey you cannot sit inside. Do not order takeout or you will get half of your sit down order. I ordered 3 orders of NOLA shrimp to go, along with order of hushphppies. Got home and had a half cup in each bowl and hushpuppies to hard to eat. $50!

We were clutching our pearls cuz’ we ain’t local/drinkers and didn’t know what was up with the dark parking lot. But BOY. They got some mammoth patty melts that are ✨properly✨ cooked to order (on fresh rye!) and shrimp and catfish seasoned just enough to appreciate the flavor of the food itself. Oh! And I could order the ranch as a beverage. It’s bussin bussin. Atmosphere is 4 stars because there’s not a non-smoking area inside but it was well worth it.

Its been a while since I have eaten here. I was a saddened that the portions have been cut, but what hasnt thanks to bidenomics. It a bar, but it does have an A rating with the health department. We went two days in a row. We co worker and I had the fish and chips and split the king red shrimp as an appitiser. It was a great lunch. The fish and chips is as close to the real thing as I can find stateside. The owner is British if I remember correctly. The next day I had a Ruben sandwich and my coworker had a steak. It was a great Ruben and I only ate half. My coworker was pleased with his steak as well. I have also had the shepherds pie. I have never been disappointed with a meal here. Definitely recommend.

Not a family place, definitely more bar than steakhouse, steak was okay shrimp the same. Theyvallow smoking inside so be aware of that.

The hamburgers here are really good. They use soft hamburger buns that taste better than most places Ive tried. Its even topped off with a little umbrella. This place really has the old school bar feel to it.

Place was empty at opening so food was hot, fresh, appetizing, and plentiful. Service was excellent. Wilk definitely come back to try other menu items in the future.

Little hole in wall bar and grill. We had the Seafood Platter, enough food for two people. Fried but not greasy , great flavor. Very reasonably priced. Service was great. Wheelchair accessible. There were pool tables available.

Fresh food made to order. We had a really good dinner with fried shrimp basket and gumbo. We will be back to order more!

Imagine a place where there is great food, a amazing atmosphere and a bar to smoke at. This bring back that classic feeling of what a bar is.The burger are great with a price range about the same everywhere else.Go check it out.

The staff was friendly and the food was very good. Big portions. My opinion is the draft beer was a little pricey but cold.

We visit this place often when we travel to Mississippi. Its a little hideaway away from Biloxi. It is not kid friendly more of a bar atmosphere. The food is always cooked to order and fresh.

I was truly impressed here. Our server was with us in a minute and very welcoming. The menu had many and varied offerings. The spinach artichoke dip was exceptional. My Wife ordered a steak sandwich which was a large ribeye. It was cooked perfectly, tender and delicious. I had Fish and Chips. The large pieces of fish were breaded like Ive never seen or tasted before but want to see again, soon. The fish was tender and done just right, McDonalds would be jealous of the light and crisp fries. With very reasonable prices, this place is excellent all around.

Castaways is such a special place. Get the Shepard’s Pie or the burger (your way) or the Royal Reds (those shrimp and grits!) !!! The bartenders are abfab and OH! Have Jenny’s Yellow Bird cocktail while you’re there 🥳💕 cheers to Sunday brunch with their dog menu too 🥂

The Service was a tad slow for the amount of people that was here at the time i visited. despite that the food was extremely delicious. Sweet tea was super on point. Will deff try this place again.

My Reuben and my wifes gumbo bowl were over the top, fabulous. Our waiter was on top of it, friendly, quick, and attentive. A waiter and waitress, serving tables and bartending. They certainly were the dynamic duo. We are out of towners and have found our spot. Locals for sure and the owner is a lady, has owned it 30 years and takes care of he staff. Very affordable. I highly recommend. You wont regret it.

Went for the first time tonight. We shared an oder.of the special which was Red prawns. They were delicious.... had a bit of kick. We also ordered the Fish & Chips and it has been said, They are the best.... and they were! Chris was our server and he did not fail! He had things to us even before we asked! We will be back!

I had no idea that smoking was allowed in restaurants anymore, as we are not from the area. If it was a nonsmoking place I would give it 5 stars all the way

This is one of my 2 favorite bars in Ocean Springs. One, is you come at the right time; the best bartenders. 2, late night grill is UHmazing. 3rd, fun times almost always. New bartender Becca... 💘!!

A dive bar that serves food is okay. The food was tasty but portion of fried catfish and french fries for $11 was really really really skimpy. Waitress was terrific very attentif and they allowed dogs outside which is what will bring me back in the future. Waitress even brought bowl of water and offered a doggy menu.

We had a great experience. Burger was on point. Beer selection was on point. Kitchen closes at 10pm 7 days a week which is a reasonable time. So I guess I would have to say it was on point. Thank you for your time.

When they say its a burger, its a large burger, and alot of fries, great food and music.

I ordered thru door dash. This food was awful. We ordered 2 seafood platters, 1 catfish plate, fried mushrooms and potato skins. The mushrooms had a funny not good flavor. There are 3 of us and we all LOVE fried mushrooms. Worse weve ever had. Potato skins have no flavor and are overcooked. The fish platter, what a joke. There were 4 very small pieces of fish. And when I say small Im talking about 3-4 inches long by about half an inch wide. My husband and daughter got the seafood platters and they both feel sick now. I spent $100 for about $40 worth of food, and really bad food at that. Will never get food at castaways again!!! Terrible!!!

The food is consistently good! The staff is friendly and helpful. However, It is a bar and smoking is allowed.

The food was delicious. We walked in to eat and almost left because we thought it was just a bar. We were so glad we stayed. The seafood bread was amazing. We also had the barbecue shrimp which was equally as good. The fried fish was great also. What a surprise and can’t wait to go back!

Not kid friendly! Smoking inside but, they must have a good ventilation system because I barely smelled any smoke. Best Royal Reds Ive had. Great local bar atmosphere.

Service was great. The guy that waited on us was only person waiting tables, bar tending, and cashiering. He did an outstanding job, but I hope they will find him some help soon. We liked the laid back atmosphere, and really enjoyed our food. Stuffed mushrooms, and Bloody Mary’s were great.

Absolutely fantastic service!! It was ugly weather, but they took great care of us & our Dachshund, PixieAa she was totally spoiled, loved on & loved her food!! The Shepherds Pie was to die for & we WILL be stopping back through anytime we are traveling near the Area!! We travel full-time & finding places that are pet friendly are very high on my priority list so she isnt always left in the RV while we go to dinner!! @roamingartisans

Visiting a friend in town while here for the GNR concert that Ive known since high school. Castaways is his hangout place & the bartender recommended the Shrimp & Grits Low Country & it was DEELISH! 😋

Food was really good. On the down side a bit over priced as a BLT and a Chicken sandwich with a beer and a mixed drink was over $30 with 20% tip. I realize todays prices are inflated every where but really hate getting charged for each little thing ( ie a ramekin of ranch, onions & peppers for steak sandwich, piece of cheese etc) Also bartender waited on us and seemed a bit short with having to wait on us.

This is a bar atmosphere. Outside dining area was to cold. extremely friendly but still smoke filled bar. Not a big fan of smoking or smell. Other than that good food great service.

Had the fish and chips and it was awesome. Brian our bartender was extremely nice. He recommended serveral other dishes to try on our next visit. Looking forward to it.

The food was so delicious! I enjoyed my dinner and a few drinks. The cook actually made my food they way I love it. Grilled cheese is also good if you are looking for something simple. 😋

The seafood bread is one of a kind. I was sad to take my last bite, knowing that was all of it. The fish and chips were the best Ive ever had, and we were told the owner is from England, so it doesnt get any more authentic than that! We live in Pensacola, but will be making a trip back to this establishment as the food was exceptional and the service excellent. Do yourself a favor and patronize this restaurant; you will not be disappointed!

What a phenomenal place to eat, the food and atmosphere was outstanding. We got the Seafood Bread (House Special, DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT TRYING IT) and Fish and Chips, everything was PERFECT. The waitress was outstanding and very attentive as well. We were passing through Ocean Springs headed back to Florida and so glad we chose to stop here, we will be coming back for more! Very excited to try the Shepards Pie next time!

Went here for the first time tonight. The food was great and so was the service! The cigarette smoke wasnt too bad for being a bar. All the workers were very nice and the other customers werent too crazy. Everyone was cracking jokes and having a great time. We will definitely be coming back in the future!

There is no way this place got this many good reviews. People were either paid or drunk. The place smells like an absolute ashtray and the food was extremely underwhelming. Drinks are way overpriced, this isn’t Vegas. Many better places in the area. 0/10 would recommend you stay away from this place.

Went an got a fried shrimp basket....I usually get the boiled an they are good but today I just had to have fried shrimp an Im so disappointed.... horrible.... Batter was soggy no seasoning, waitress was right on ketchup looking crazy when I asked for more... stick to boiled fried are hands down worst Ive had yet...

Its a smoky bar. Not the atmosphere you want to eat in if you hate cigarette smoke. Luckily they have outside seating.

The food was great. So was the staff. They were very friendly and took great care of us. I would go back just for the sweet tea. Just avoid the booth seating. The padding is gone. It was also smoky, but that just goes with the character of the place.

My husband and I enjoyed a tasty Thanksgiving menu special that was reasonably priced. We first ordered cocktails before dinner. Since I enjoy a vodka martini straight up before dinner, I gave instructions to the server to make sure that it was made correctly and it was perfect! Theres nothing worse than a screwed up martini! My husband ordered his drink and said it was also good. The food was outstanding and a lot of it . Of course I requested a doggie bag! I would have given 5 stars but our server wanted to rush our order before we had a chance to enjoy the cocktails. I even explained to her that we wanted to take our time before ordering. The menu consisted of an appetizer, salad, entree and dessert. When it came time to order, everything was brought out at once. She was a nice person but needed training of good food service. We were both irritated. The restaurant and bar was slow since we came early and I could understand it if it were a full dining room and bar since she also served as a bartender. She just didnt know much about food servicing. We still left her a good tip because I know it must have been difficult for her. I knew that because she would forget things like sauces, wine with dinner, and other little things that I would have to get up and go to the bar to ask for. So I hope she doesnt get in trouble but I do hope the management give her some training. This is the 3rd Thanksgiving that we came and wont be the last. We have enjoyed dinner here off and on for about 10 years. Thank you!

I live this place! I really wish it was at the old location because it waa closer to home, but it is still our go -to place when we want to go out and drink.You cant beat Rhondas bloody Marys. And the whole staff is awesome.Three food is great, too! I think my husband and i just ordered half the menu.

Enjoyed fried oyster basket and fried green tomatoes. Large portions and melt in your mouth delicious! DH enjoyed catfish $8 special and fried pickles. He stated that both were delicious. Our server, Kay, was especially nice and attentive. Atmosphere was great in this local bar and grill. The staff knew almost everyone by name. Will visit again before leaving the area!

Food was good, if smoke doesnt bother you.Had the special, grilled pork chops. The cook really knows their way around a grill. However, in contradiction to the sign on the door, smoking is most assuredly allowed. Kt took an hour to get the smell off my clothes.

I really enjoyed dining for the first time. The long island ice teas are awesome. The cook who prepared my meal (Larry) wasnt just adorable but also made sure my food was made how I wanted.

Visiting Ocean Springs for the first time. We had been fishing all day and Googled 24 hour restaurants in the area. Castaways came up. We enjoy the type of environment that it showed and also could watch the basketball game. We went in and sat down. We wasnt acknowledged or even spoke to for over 15 minutes. It wasnt busy. The waitress looked over at us at one point and then went on with what she was doing. We waited a several more minutes and left. Not one word was said to us. It did appear clean but I will never go back. We come this way often and everyone is so kind and polite. This was the only time I ever felt unwelcome in Ocean Springs.

My cousin and I have been driving around for ONE week looking for a little bit of normalcy. This place surpassed any expectation we could possibly have had to fulfill this quest. Chris, our bartender, is an AMAZING mixologist. His Old Fashioned is hands down the best on the MS Gulf Coast, because I have experienced them from Bay St Louis to Pascagoula. The food is INCREDIBLE. All of their dressings are homemade. The price is extraordinarily reasonable. This has been a breathe of fresh air or should I say heaven to come to this place and experience it. The vibe is so cool and this place leaves nothing for disappoint strictly satisfaction. Thank you Castaways.

Thanks for making me feel welcome while here for a conference. Havent been in the area since 2007 and its great to see how far the community has come. Hush puppies and Poboy were awesome along with Becky the bartender.

Went here last year when we visited Ocean Springs and went three times this year while on vacation. Love that Castaways is dog-friendly on their outside porch. Decent beer and wine selection, including a beer called Freemason Golden Ale on-tap, which I had not heard of before and it was pretty good. And the food is very good. I got the Shepards Pie the first visit and a well dressed burger the second and third time this trip. Make sure to ask for remoulade sauce/dressing to put on your salad. My wife got shrimp salad every time and said it was great. We also got the spinach artichoke dip and chips each time, which is outstanding. Becky, the young lady who bartends and waitresses early evenings through 2 AM, is just awesome! She can serve many people efficiently and make them all feel like they are her most important customer. Becky sets a wonderful tone and vibe for this place; she is just great and makes this place a lot of fun. Their sign out front says, Great Food, Great Drinks, and Great Times. That pretty much sums this place up. As much fun as we had hanging out here as out-of-towners, I can imagine the locals just love this place.

Staff is cool and the food is great. I tried the Nola BBQ shrimp and the seafood bread and it’s my favorite. Has great taste and lots of flavor.

We spotted here as we passed through Biloxi on a Sunday during the NFL Saints/Browns game. For every touchdown or field goal the Saints scored they handed out free shots! Oh. My. Goodness!! Those shots were delicious! I am now a Saints fan! 😂 The food was good too however I cant remember what I had! 😂 😂 😂 😂 Oh yeah! English fish and chips! Best Ive had since I lived in England.

I visited Ocean Springs for the first time on a southern road trip with friends from Pennsylvania during spring break. We went to Castaways on a slow Monday night but had the most amazing time. Everyone in this bar made our stay in Mississippi worth it. Becky the (Server, Bartender) was so friendly and welcoming. Everyone in this city was so willing to converse with us and were so genuine. The drinks were also amazing and the prices were great! I can not wait to come back to the Gulf Coast of Mississippi! Yall Rock!

Stopped in for a steak and beer. The steak was ok. The beer was good. However, the server was amazing. Our server was very attentive and personable. Plus the wait time was very short from the kitchen.

Breakfast was good can only eat on the patio, would eat there more if it wasnt so Smoky. We sat outside and when they brought us the menu you could smell cigarette smoke coming off the menus.

New to this area and being from BOSTON I love certain foods like a real REUBEN made with quality meats. Castaways has it down. Outstanding is all I can come up with. Stake specials on Thursday s and they have Shepherds pie. I cant wait till tomorow.

They are NOT family friendly as their ads say. My wife, kids, and I went and were met at the door by a waitress(?) and told no kids allowed after 9pm. There is nothing on the building or online stating such. When asked if we could sit outside on the patio we were given the same response. Wont be going back.

Exactly the kind of place I like; no thrills, what you see is what you get basically, cheap prices, friendly staff, friendly patrons and late night food.. unlike downtown ocean springs this place isn’t full of pompous prats that like to flaunt their money and show off.. castaway is one of the best bars around

BBQ SHRIMP!!! A must try! Today my first ...from now on my only. Dipping sauce may look thin, but will WOW you with flavor! Will eat here more often! So surprised by the bartender. He actually corrected my mistake so that I didnt over pay by $20.

When ordering my drink last Friday the bartender Becky forgot to put cherries in my drink & when I mention it she act like as if she didn’t care. Then most of the time when you want a mix drink you have to bang the counter down to get her & Rhonda attention. Plus I feel when you are serving drinks you should have on gloves when putting lemon, lime, cherries, or oranges to those adult beverages. That’s so unsanitary they seem to go to their regulars & ask may I assist you.

The service and food was top notch. We started off sitting inside but the smoke irritated both of us . It was a beautiful day so we set outside and enjoyed the meal.

The VERY BEST BAR & GRILL on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!!! Their Wednesday lunch special, ShrimpGrits are to die for delicious!!! They are open 24-7 and have breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have a full menu from oyster baskets to a tasty Seafood Platter, poboys, burgers, crab cakes (with real chunks of crab meat), pork chop specials. Awesome outside patio, too!!! You have to try this place! Always a SUPER friendly staff, good food, cold beverage, good music variety... Its our favorite place to go and RELAX!!!

Food tables were completely empty. Crowded bar with so many customers smoking cigarettes, we had to walk out immediately due to the overwhelming odor.

Bartenders are attentive always looking to make sure that youre not empty or if you want food, and conversation! The food is hot, prompt,and exactly as you ordered!

Watch your debit card. Charged correct amount, but when they closed out charge inflated tip. I have good bank decline in the works.

Castaways has great food and very friendly employees. It has an easygoing and entertaining atmosphere with T.Vs usually showing sports, a pool table and jukebox among other things.

I love going to castaways, everyone treats you as part of the family there, the band comes in on weekends , karaoke on Tuesday nights , they throw birthday party, just have to talk with them and find out mire, great food, atmosphere!!!

Great food good service and a laid back atmosphere.

This place has a great feel to it. The bands were outstanding and the staff is some of the best Ive seen!

Terrible service , I have gave them chance after chance and they continue to disappoint , several times I have called an order in and they wait till I come to get my food to tell me they are out of the product ,I am over this place , start taking the customers phone number and doing things the rite way

Its open super late for shenanigans. Not my first choice but has been our last on a few occasions. Good times.
