This is a controversial store. Many locals love it for the cheap nic and snacks. Lots of accessories and smoke shop stuff. However, the owner does not adhere to ANY social norms. He is known to be very rude, insight violence, and he physically beat a female customer. I’ve seen an Icee thrown back in the store by a customer, I’ve seen him kick people out, he makes very socially inappropriate comments…mostly for shock value maybe? He has a mullet and is named Skylar, and he is part of the “family”. If you shop at this store, get ready for some drama. In July of 2024, someone spray painted The Owner Beats Women on the window.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Absolutely the worse customer service I’ve ever encountered. I was standing in line and when it was my turn to buy, the Asian clerk skipped me to help a guy who had just walked in. Then when he finally asked what I wanted, after telling him the brand, flavor, AND pointing my finger directly at it he rudely yelled at me which one over and over.In my opinion they do not appreciate my business, so I will not patronize this small business. It’s sad because it’s a pretty cool establishment. Just needs much better management in my opinion.

If I could leave less than a 1 star review I would: the worker was SO rude to us and others while we were in the store. He asked us what we wanted then rudely told us to hold on. While we were waiting he said we needed to go outside & we did. He locked us all out of the store. (One customers car keys were Inside) he locked the front door without saying anything. We waited 10 minutes outside before he re opened the door. Then very rudely yelled at us. Super unhelpful when we asked questions, he was rude at checkout and all around. Save your money and go elsewhere. Everyone else said this was normal behavior for him…

I am new customer and I have had great service since I found this hidden gem, until today. This morning I went into in and the worker acted like I was a burden, his tone with me wasn’t very welcoming or good. I just left without purchasing anything. I said to myself I won’t be going back. I decided to give it one more try tonight and there was someone different working and they were so friendly and helpful. I feel they redeemed my loyalty. Great prices and great service this evening. So I changed my star rating from a 3 to a 4. It is just sad that some people have to have an attitude. Almost lost me as new customer. I hope to change this to a five star in the future.

For goodness sakes. Dont go to this store. Either the owner or one of the employees, not sure who he is, is one of the nastiest, rudest, most threatening individual I have ever encountered in a place of business. Will never go back and encourage everyone to do the same. He belittles, cusses at threatens customers. I have even thought of calling the police. Just disgusting.

Worst experience EVER. I have been here before to buy a disposable vape 5000 hits that was completely dead the next day. I just came to buy another one I opened it in the store and hit it and walked out the front door to throw the box away. I noticed the vape wouldnt turn off after hitting it. It just kept putting out smoke like I was hitting it and started to get hot. I had to smack it to stop. I walked back in the store and told the clerk and he told me there is nothing he can do they make them like that. I said no they clearly arent suppose to almost blow up and never shut off and he said oh well it is what it is. Then a super rude guy with a curled mullet and cut off shirt came out with the NASTIEST attitude ever telling me the warranty ends at the door and I stepped out the door. I literally stepped 3 feet to the trash can right at their front door. I tried talking to roid rage mullet guy but all he would say is the warranty ends at the door and proceeded to come around the corner and push up on me saying get out of HIS store. They sold me a faulty product and refused to make it right then made me leave the store. Thats some great customer service if Ive ever seen it. Rip you off and kick you out. I was calm the whole time. I WILL NEVER GIVE THEM BUSINESS AGAIN. STAY AWAY

So I went in to return a LUX product for the 2nd time for the same reason which was never being able to recharge but being sold as a rechargeable battery. The man helping me was trying to figure it out at the same time I decided to go 1with a different variety of battery.... a UNI. When the employee handed me the 1st on it was not the color I pointed to, so when he corrected it and handed me the other I noticed it changed colors. I said of thats not really what I was looking for it looked different to me the manager said Hey buddy pick something or get the F@#$ out of here I was struck so much to ask if he was talking to me. Especially since I waited almost 10 minutes for service and only took up about 2 minutes of their time. I have never had such terrible treatment in a store bring back a bad product(which I do realize there is no returns but after 2 bad products......what ya going to do) and at the same time still trying to by something else. I was flabbergasted. Totally rude and will never recommend or return.

Im shocked to see these reviews! I lived off Central for 2 years and this place is legit AMAZING! From the cheapest prices in the STATE on vapes/juices/glass to every type of childhood candy you can think of, to refreshments galore, how the hello can someone review any less than five stars! Rude, what?!!! These guys and gals are hilarious and beyond helpful here! I drive two hours to go restock on my vapes bc I literally save that much money compared to local shops, and for the nostalgia of visiting this place! Tubular Tokes, keep on keeping on!

I brought my dog there. I tied it outside because I know they don’t like dogs in the store so I tied it up to the bike rack there my dog is maybe 12 inches tall maybe 15 at the most it’s a little Corky, the rude Clark behind the counter, told me I could not come in the store because you had your dog tied out front then he asked me what I wanted. I told him I’d be in and out in 30 seconds. My dog barked he told me to get out and I wasn’t allowed in the store because the dog was out front. This is the most unfriendliest place for dog lovers that I’ve ever seen in my life and I hope everybody boycott this place who has a dog or who love dogs take my dog for a walk and a time out front and he still will not let me in. He’s the rudest most unfriendliest clerk I’ve ever seen in my life.

Guys this is the place! Prices are unbeatable. I literally only shop here for the needs they supply. Its a 1 stop shop. You can even by shoes!What Skylar does behind the counter is all part of the reason I go there. Hes absolutely hilarious. I guess if you dont know then ya dont know. But stick it out . Its a whole experience.... Stay loyal.

The owner is extremely rude. My boyfriend went inside with a small bag because he had bought something elsewhere. The owner told him to stop, he said, Can you read? What? You dont treat people like that. He had also treated me the same. One time I went inside and he says, You, stand over there. I paused because I was flabbergasted. Then he said, Do you speak English? He has no manners.

Negative ⭐️BULLIES WORK HERE.Probably one of the strangest experiences I’ve had.THE TWO KIDS WORKING HERE TONIGHT (8/6) WERE SO MEAN!I still don’t understand why but I asked a few questions about certain products it was my first time in the store.. I was excited about the candy selections.I approached to pay asked about a nicotine free vape which they had..And i get made of fun for asking..he proceeded to tell me I’m not a fun person because of it.I ignored it.I don’t take things to heart usually and perhaps I heard wrong..but the bullying kept going as I checked out the other worker is making comments from the end of the counter about me saying mean things that you don’t say to your customers especially unprompted and unprovoked..I have a new debit card and forgot to set a new pin to it so I asked if I can do credit instead of debit and he says out loud “omg you don’t know your pin” 😳To the point I had enough and left all the items on counter and just go because it was so off, and rude.I am nice to everyone and express love freely so I really don’t get it.Perhaps they’re on pills I don’t know, I saw his eyes rolling to the back of his head a couple times.Just weird and off and straight MEAN.DONT GO HERE!!Update after writing this review..By the looks of the other reviews, this man child owner and workers get off on the negative attention.Clear indication of unhealed traumas and feeling bad about himself to randomly treat others this way.I’m sure he will be commenting here as well as he has lashed out at everyone that speaks the truth about his rude behavior and thus proves what’s being said about his behavior is true.No apologies.Just Narcissism.I say to his inner child,here is a hug little boy…seek help.

This establishment is amazing. Spoke with the owner and had plenty of convos with other employees. Vapes are a price nobody can beat and everyone is so personable - Jameson especially, youll have my buisness as long as youre open! Forget all the sissies complaining, they just cant take a joke or they deserve to be corrected from their stuck-up attitude 😆

Second time there, Never going back again! Such a bad customer service! The staff was rude and unhelpful, completely disregarding my concerns. They seemed more interested in chatting with each other than assisting customers.

Was getting to know the shop, nice neon lights deco and all but the owner is a rude dude, he never bulged to let me by while he was vacuuming the small corridors. Was at risk of tangling with the twisted extension cable. Attendants are usually pretty nice

Warranty ends at the door. make sure your product works. know what you want. owner is a St Pete gem. best prices downtown. would not want this store any other way. enough said.

Every time I’ve shopped here I’ve had no issues. I love the variety of vapes and the prices. If i was to buy 1 vape from a corner store I’d be spending 25-27$. here , i can get 2 for nearly the same price. I Love it!

The owner clearly has daddy issues the way he develops a rude personality for an edgy business persona. In some cases impoliteness could be funny but the line is drawn when it comes to pointing out disabilities and or insecurities in people. This displays an inferiority complex and living in a state of constant insecurity as well as over compensation to obscure personal issues. So the marvelous mullet man clearly lost his father who was in pursuit of buying a pack of cigarettes and opened up the cheapest smoke shop in a desperate attempt to see his daddy once again.

Not sure what everyone is crying about in their reviews:If you know how to be a customer in a store that is really busy a lot of the time, youll find the best prices in town (every other place is literally $10-$12 more for the disposable vape I buy) and a nearly endless selection of vape gear, snacks and drinks.I only ever go anywhere else if its a vape emergency and Im on the other side of town.Keep up the great work everyone.

Hated the whole interaction with the guy at the counter. I understand some people get the freedom to treat customers however they want and show their character but it really just made me not want to spend my money there. Maybe I need thicker skin but I’ll definitely pay a few extra bucks to be welcomed nicely and not feel like I’m imposing on someone’s shift…

I was harassed by skylar. I am 48 and he called me an oompa loompa and when i told him that was offensive he said, try being tall. This man discriminates against people who are differently abled and is horribly rude. Dont shop here. Plenty of other places that treat their customers with respect.

The owner is a piece of work. I’ve been out of town for a year, and he says,” Im pretty sure I threw you out of here last month.” What? Mullet head beantard, with his nose pushed near to his forehead.

Been going here a couple years. Ive never had an issue with the owner hes always treated my partner and I with respect. There was one employee a while ago that always gave me attitude for how much I was buying but I dont see him there anymore. The prices are great. Some of the lowest Ive seen. Theres one employee there a younger african american girl. Shes the best. Always in a great mood. Complimenting customers. Shes very knowledgeable. Shes the best worker there Ive met. Overall Im gonna keep going here and Im not gonna stop. Also the owner is hilarious I love his responses.

It’s like ya’ll don’t want want business - do better with employee attitudes. I’ll happily spend elsewhere, I can get Backwoods and Dunkaroos plenty of other places. Not a new or novel idea - do better :)

The owner is extremely rude! I went there (St.Pete) yesterday 10/12/22 and was chased down and screamed at by the owner for carrying my wallet inside the food room. He told me I needed to leave it on a wall of plastic little hangers where just any and everybody could walk by and grab my identification and cash. He continued to talk over top of me when I was insisting it is just a wallet. He is a JOKE I will never spend another cent in one of his stores. I’ve been going to the Largo location since it opened and he has ALWAYS BEEN SO RUDE. He treats his staff horribly and has no business working with the public.

Nasty owner. Smoke shops around here are on every street corner. Shop elsewhere. I recommend Happy Puffer on St Pete Beach or Cozy Smokes in Largo if you’re in that neck of the woods. I see he’s also in the habit of writing nasty comments on the long list of negative reviews, can’t wait for mine. 😂

I am not one to leave a bad review being I am an incredibly understanding and patient person, and believe people are good-hearted. However, I am SO unimpressed with the guy who says Talk to me over the phone. His treatment and service was incredibly rude, juvenile, and disrespectful. Around 10:30am, I called to inquire about a product, and was hung up on. At first, I thought to myself, it was simply an accident until I experienced an even worse response upon calling, immediately after we disconnected. Thinking nothing of the call ending abruptly, I called back, and before I could speak, was told hold please. I waited about 10 ten minutes, as I listened to all the background noise in the store, and he returned saying, Talk to me. I kindly asked a question about the same product, and his rude answer was, If you want to talk shop, come into the store, and before I could even speak, he already hung up on me. This is not okay. This is not how you treat customers.

The guy behind the counter cussed and insulted me when I asked for another product. I will never go back into this store. Do not give this business your hard earned money.

The guy behind the counter today was so nice. We actually had a great experience. He was patient and explained everything to us. We got home and were going to leave a positive review and were shocked to see an overall low rating on the business. Seeing how others have been treated and the blatant disrespect that the owner gives to their customers is enough for us to not want to invest any more money into this place. We got what we came for and had a good rep behind the counter but overall given the poor care for their customers on all counts we will be investing all of our smoke and snack needs elsewhere. Hope the guy behind the counter finds a better place to represent because he was great.Edit: owner is clearly ran by the wit and intelligence of a 14 year old boy first learning toxic traits to help his baby ego be stroked. The store itself is really cool, has a lot of snacks and drinks, and a really nice aesthetic. I just came back on here to check the hours and I saw the reviews dropped, so I checked them out. The owners responses are unacceptable. I wish I could come back to the store, but I dont support that kind of behavior. I have experienced someone behind the counter being unnecessarily rude to me and my friends, but was confused by it and thought maybe he was joking so I ignored it, but it seems like it must not have been a joke after all. Im disappointed, but hope that things will improve in response to these reviews because I really liked the shop! Worthy of 5 stars if not for the poor management.

Been a customer for almost two years and never had a issue or complaint about this company. Owner and workers are phenomenal and they always make sure to help me out with that I need. Love this company and will continue to do business there. 80s vibe and lowest prices in town!

I will never step foot back in this store again. I drive 6 miles here ONCE A WEEK to get my vapes and after the service Skyler and his 2 CHILDREN provided I will NEVER again. Not only is it 100% ILLEGAL for CHILDREN probably about 11 and 8years old not only serve/sell tobacco and alcohol products but to also be completely rude and disrespectful at that too! I have been a customer here for many years and Iv told many people to shop here, but to say the quality has gone down is a understatement. Went in not to long ago to check it out after the renovation and the employees were so rude I just walked out. two days ago I bought a piece at the Largo location and the piece cracked open in my hands, tried to get an exchange and was told all sales are final, even when the glass breaks it’s self. I’m embarrassed Iv ever sent anyone here, just go to a gas station it’s the same.

I have been a consistent and loyal customer here for quite some time. This is all thanks to their extensive variety, totally decent and affordable prices and definitely the personality of each of the employees. Theyre all great but Tyler just always takes the cake so I needed to know his name this time. Super cool, friendly, crazy helpful and just clearly all-in to send customers out happy and confident in their purchases. Love my Tubular Tokes 🤗

Ive been to tubular tokes before and was never particularly impressed with the service, especially from the owner as he is cold and distant and not AT ALL a salesman. That’s not to mention the awful rumors I’ve heard but cannot comment on. When I went in the other day, there were three guys working in this little shop and no other customers so when me and my friend walked in, I guess we expected someone to acknowledge us? Instead, the two young guys behind the counter carried on their conversation loudly while I TRIED to browse. However, it was incredibly difficult as nothing was organized, there were empty disposable vape boxes everywhere. There were packets of kratom and papers all over the floor behind the counter. When I asked the guy working the register for help, he was very uninterested but he did offer a similar product. But he pulled it out of a counter display that I looked into… you cannot tell what products are even in there! Overall the guy working was very unfriendly and the store was SO disorganized that I was dumbfounded having worked at a smoke shop for two years myself and anyone who has ever been in a smoke shop would say the same. I’m still just absolutely amazed by the lack of care for the store that employees show. Some adjectives to dumbfounded and amazed would be: astonished, astounded, startled, stunned, bewildered, dismayed. The prices are great, the store, employees, and owner are not.

If youre looking to save $7 to $15 on name brand disposable vapes this is your spot. Eflbar 5000s are 13 and change, Fume 7000 are 16 and change. If youre looking for a customer service experience dont come here. Theyre dirt cheap and I dont need to be catered to when Im spending $13.75 on a $20-25 disposable vape. The people running it are very young adults, youre going to have to speak up if you want something, theyre very distracted. If youre looking for someone to kiss up to you and act like they care, go spend twice as much somewhere else. I dont need special treatment with prices like these. Ill definitely be back.

I like the shop and their offerings I used to come here a lot, unfortunately the owner was very disrespectful to me and some other customers in the store on 1 occasion, then on a 2nd occasion another employee and the owner were very rude to me, my wife and a friend that were in there. They basically cussed us out of the store completely unprovoked while yelling names and obscenities at us. I will never support this store again and will make sure and tell everyone I know.

I’ve never been to Tubular Tokes before but I’ve heard that this place is amazing! Great 1980’s vibe! It’s very cool that you have vintage ceiling fans in your store. I’m also a vintage ceiling fan collector that lives 40 minutes away from Tubular Tokes. I’d love to check this place out!

Very rude staff. They have a no bag policy which is fine, but it is hard to notice the sign with all the cheap 90s neon lights. Instead of being polite and telling you, they put on a fire alarm. Not very chill experience.

After being a regular customer for a couple years at this place it is sad to see how far downhill this place has gone. The owners responses to reviews are unacceptable in so many ways. It was an exceptional store before this and still could be. Its funny to me to read the owner go after people for their looks and how he makes more money when he still cant afford to buy himself braces or take care of that lazy eye.

Went in to get a vapor that was rechargeable. The surfer dude at the counter pointed me to something I wasnt looking for. While he had no care to help me, he was also trying to help someone else. The store was cluddered so hard to find what I was looking for. The guy asked me six times if I knew what I wanted. I kept saying no I need help. Still not helping me. He asked if I knew what I wanted, I just left with frustration and said if your not going to help me Ill go somewhere else. I did just that and told the competition store about my experience. Rude staff cursed at me and was inpatient when they couldn’t understand what I was pointing at after ignoring me while having a very inappropriate conversationEdit: as you can see from the owner’s reply he does not understand the first thing about customer service. There was a miscommunication on which piece I wanted and he thinks he is justified in cursing and yelling at me for that. If he does not want to run a business he can sell it, but he shouldn’t treat it like his own personal garage. I would strongly recommend going somewhere with better quality glass, a larger store, and most importantly a place where they treat you with at least a basic level of human decency.

Great place!!So much stuff there and they have their own munchie mart. Super friendly staff and actually know about their products and know how to suggest products without sounding pushy. Super chill vibes from this place and great selection and super neat. ALSO super cheap prices!!! I got 2 puff bars from here for $12.50 and yes they do have the verification seal on them, they aren’t fake. They have a bigger selection and a few glass pieces. Will definitely be coming back :)

SUCH A SHAME. The manager is a HORRIBLE MAN. I like the products here, but the quality has gone down. The manager was SO rude and has ZERO people skills. I would not even feel comfortable saying that he understands the bare minimum of running a business given that I have been a loyal customer and half of the times I have bought lately on the last two months his products have been half full, leaking, previously used and he does not offer returns. I buy vapes here frequently. Bought some today, one produced 0 vapor. Brought it back they gave me another. I tried it in store and it did the same thing with not producing any vapor at all.I was told I didn’t wait long enough before trying it after opening it. That I “probably” burnt the coil or something.I love the staff and owner of this place. Legitimately have had nothing a desirable experience every time I go in. But how can 1 person, in a lobby full of people (Tubular gets busy), take care of these people while turning around and cashing them out. Watch me and tell me exactly how many seconds I waited before trying it.Be reasonable. It’s not even the money. It’s the fact that you guys sold me 2 faulty products and blamed me.I’ve been buying these for months at this place. I’ve used them and I have even burnt one when I first started getting them. It tasted awful but still produced vapor.The vape was broke it didn’t work at all.The way it was handled could of been way better.Contrary to the reviews I have been treated with kindness and respect every other time I have been in this place. Talked to the owner and employees with no issue. Their prices are good on products.I hope this was just a one off.

The owner was verbally abusive and cussed and screamed in my face in front of my friends 10 month old baby. Over his no bag policy that I was not aware of when I was carrying a very small purse. Dont spend money to support this business.

This place lacks basic customer service skills, such as not rudely hanging up the phone on customers calling to confirm if products are in stock. When I went in person to see if said product was available, the owner made the interaction uncomfortable and I actually turned around and left. The owner tries to bully people who leave a bad review to make himself feel empowered. Not worth your time, drive a little farther for better treatment.

Tube Tokes is awesome and has an amazing selection of vapes and grab and go items. The prices are right and the service is always friendly. All of the employees are super helpful when I have questions about the products. I like the little cards that you can get stamped so that you can receive a discount after so many purchases :)

Owner is a complete and total incel. Seems to love confrontation. You’d think by his ego he’s CEO of a fortune 200 instead of a mediocre head shop. Guy is the personification of gas station sushi.

My brother and I stumbled upon this gem of a store while just walking around the Grand central area...It was amazing! Super fun,quirky decor,huge selection of snacks and other fun items. The owner was super cool,quirky like his store... yet informative about products and what not. I had a sensory overload walking around in there, super fun spot to check out...we will definitely be back!

The owner of this place or who claims to be the owner is very rude. I bought a product there, but it did not work for what I need it. I come back a couple of hours later and he tells me all sales are final. He did not say that earlier and it does not say it on the receipt either. I did not want my money back, I was willing to exchange the product. He was still very unprofessional! Did not want to help in what I was asking. He kicked me out of his store when I told him I was an unhappy customer. People without ethics should not own a business. No one on their right mind is willing to lose clients or customers. I suggest that NO one goes here.

Literally the worst smoke shop Ive ever been to in my entire life. So poorly organized, the staff us disrespectful and all the employees just plain lack customer service. I walked in to buy incense and a lighter and I walked out without buying anything because it just felt wrong to put my hard earned money toward such a distasteful establishment. Literally I. Not willing to blow $2 on this place bc of my experience. I buy kratom from every shop in town, and I choose the best place to put my money when I support a local shop. But Ive never been to a smoke shop where I left feeling like I would never come back. Shameless.

It’s a central FL convenience store and these people are acting like it should be the Central Park Ritz Carlton. Who cares if they don’t treat you like the Queen of Sheba? You’re there for vapes and junk food. You’re not exactly the classiest person alive either. 😂 There’s nothing wrong with this place. They’re open til midnight, they have a good mix of stuff, cheap prices and no CC minimum.

Ight allow me to let everyone in on the scoop of this dog park of a smoke shop. The owner has a mullet that would look better on my dog and would prolly smell better. He’s about as rude as a New Yorker watching the Yankees lose a ball game. He has no social skills and he stores little snacks in his mustache that I watch him nibble on as we speak. As far as customer service goes, if he is actually able to keep his workers working there longer than a month it’s actually pretty chill. However, the manager has a personality duller than my grandma’s bee gees vinyl disc. In all honesty though he seems like a chill guy whenever he takes his meds, but whenever he doesn’t it’s like talking to a wall. It’s sad to say one of the coolest and cheapest smoke shops on central is a terrible place to visit. Makes me want to curl in a ball and cradle my balls everytime I walk inside. What a shame !

Fake disposable nicotine bars. I went and got $60 worth of disposables all different brands all but one broke within 5 minutes of use, only one was real and worked. NEVER go here. Owner is mental, screamed at me to put my bag at the front as I went to look at the snacks. I understand wanting to make sure people dont steal but to scream for no reason is insanity; if he had asked kindly and calm I would have understood with no problem. Don’t waste your money here, there are plenty of amazing locally owned shops on central and close by. I repeat do not spent your money here.

If I could give 0 ⭐s I would!!! They are extremely rude & unprofessional... Two associates sold me the wrong vape after I repeatedly told them what I wanted, now Im stuck with a $30 vape pen that I cant use. When you call the manager is NEVER there & when you go in person they hide!!! Your associates should have some type of idea what your merchandise is for so that they can give customers exactly what they ask for!!!!

Never been in the shop but heard of it because of the heavy 1980s theming. As a collector of vintage items and nostalgia-crazed 90s baby, I have a deep appreciation for both places that have changed very little since they first opened and places that try and replicate the style of times gone by alike. Tubular Tokes is the latter, and just by looking at photos of the place, I can say it is AWESOME! From my experience working in the customer-service industry, I can say that those who wrote negative reviews of the place probably said/did something to deserve the treatment they received. If Im ever in the St. Pete area, I will be sure to stop by and give the owner some well-deserved business.

Great location, great concept, and nice set up. This all means nothing if you lack basic customer service skills. You can get away from making small talk, a smile, if you can just ring up items and accept payment, you will get my business, pretty simple right? When a owner goes out of his way to belittle and demean their customers, you will not last long. For every 10 positive reviews, one negative one can erase all the work a owner did to get that positive feedback.You really have to rub me the wrong way to have to take time out of my day to write this, all you have to do is take my money, how hard is that? I stop by here 3-4 times a week when I ride my bike to class, and I have put up with the request, as I can kinda see the reasoning behind them. Like leaving my backpack up front, fair enough, people steal. When the old location didnt have a bike rack, so I set my bike inside, to be told to you cant bring that in here fair enough, I understand. But today was whole new level of a basic lack of let alone customer service skills, but of social skills that led to my choice to no longer patronize this establishment.A customer in front of me forgot to grab something as he was being rang up, so he ran to grab his needed item. The owner tells the clerk, dont make him wait (referring to me). I said its not a problem, I can wait. By the look of disgust in the owners eyes, the way he stared, I triggered him somehow. How dare I show humility to a fellow human, he must of thought. I must have broken his rule of treating people with dignity and respect. I, in some way undermined his ingenious business model of being kind to a fellow human. He berated his worker you never do that, you punish the customer for making people wait, make him suffer for being a idiot he shouted. He than directs his attention to me When you own a shop, you can make decisions,when I tell you to come up, you come up, you listen to me when you shop at my store. And like that, you alienated another local to your long growing list of dissatisfied customers.This establishment has a great opportunity to become the local shop where everyone knows your name, knows your spending habits, a pillar in the community. A place where you can make a name for yourself and make the community better and happier place. You sir do the opposite, and if this behavior continues, you will be out of business in 2-3 years. Business may be good now, and you mentality may be telling yourself pshhh, what does this guy know? I get enough business that I can do whatever the hell I want and will continue to grow. And this is exactly why you are on the road to a failed business. Dont believe me? Ill come back in here in 2 years and eat crow, time will tell. For now on, I will take my business to Wal-Mart, at least the on duty police greet me with a smile and dont treat me like a inept criminal.

Truly terrible service, staff were helpful but when the owner stepped in that’s when things got bad. I called to make sure they had a product in stock, staff put me on hold to check and make sure that it was indeed the one I was looking for. When I went in the owner was there and tried to say they didn’t even carry anything from the brand I was looking for. When I finally got a staff member that wasn’t brainless like the owner, and was about to make my purchase the owner made a comment about my race. I proceeded to leave because I will not support anyone who tries to use race as an insult. Wish I could continue to support a local business but the owner forced my hand.

Popped in tonight to grab some smokes. The guy working was insanely rude. I’ve honestly never experienced anything like it. Had a little trouble figuring out their weird credit card swiper and this guy just straight up tells me to get out. You don’t have to be friendly, but being disrespectful to a friendly patron is unacceptable. Don’t give these clowns your money.

NEVER SHOP HERE! If I could give zero stars I would have done so. I went in to buy some ‘Naked Hawaiian Pog’ vape juice this past sat night at 8:30pm and was only shown 5 different ‘Naked’ brand vape juices, so I choose something different but was boxed Naked brand. When I opened the box, that wasn’t wrapped, I found another flavor juice brand was inside. I went back 8 hrs later (the next day, Sunday) to exchange for the correct juice. Come only to find out they will not stand by their products. I was told “it’s against Florida law to exchange tobacco flavors and wouldn’t be able to exchange the wrong item for the correct one, as all sales are final. No signage labeled this policy and isn’t actually a Florida law. Additionally, I am military so when I checked out, I asked if I could have a military discount, I was told yes. However the next day when I went to return for the correct juice I noticed all the Naked juices were $11.50, but was charged $16.75. So not only was I charged more, I was sold an incorrectly package product. This is the first and last time I will ever shop here and recommend that you go to one of the ten (10) or so other ‘vape places’ like Central Vape where they will stand by their products and exchange them if there is a discrepancy. I will tell you if this place was handing out free juice I still would not go there. Both the sales woman, and young sales man I spoke to were absolute inept to their job and responsibilities and the so called manager whom would not exchange the incorrect juice for the correct one nor fix the price even with a receipt and a bottle that had clearly never been opened, claiming all sales are final is just plain terrible customer service. Maybe this is why they have a 2.5 star rating. Do yourself a favor go to a better vape shop where you’re charged the correct price and receive the correct product with no attitude other than apologies. I’m so upset I thought about picketing their place of business but then remembered my Sunday is more valuable at the beach or doing some other with my better half. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM TUBULAR TOKES ST. PETE. It’s not that I was overcharged $6 (with taxes) but that I was obviously sold an item that was placed in a different box and was refused to have this gross fowl up corrected, what any business owner should/would do. It’s principle and as any military man or woman knows principle is everything and this establishment has none! There are literally 10-15 other vape shops that are most assuredly better and will actually admit wrong doing and correct their problem.

My fiance and I used to come to this store almost daily and we loved it. One night Skylar banned and pepper sprayed my fiance for no reason other than he wanted him to leave the store, and only God knows why. My fiance wasnt acting in any manner to get this sort of treatment either. Come to find out hes done this very thing to our neighbors as well. Best convenience store Ive been to in the state. Best prices on everything, and the owner is extremely friendly and helpful. Came here from Kokomo, IN because my son likes ceiling fans and he saw the Caribbean Breeze ceiling fans on a YouTube video. The young guy working was awesome and welcomed us in to check out the fans and lighting. The place is amazing, the employee was very cool, and we will definitely be back before we head back home. As a regular at Tubular Tokes I would usually say the service is great . There’s usually 4 guys In There who greet me when I get to the counter to make my purchase . However, tonight my boyfriend and I had the most unpleasant experience!!! Let me start from the top ! My boyfriend went to Tubular Tokes without me to get more cigars . He forgot his ID at home , so when he arrived at the counter greeted by an employee he was turned away due to identification. I then went back with him to purchase it myself and show my ID with my OWN CASH . It was super crowded when we arrived back . The same employee who turned my boyfriend away for no ID allowed a group of at least 6 party girls skip the line . That was strike 1, anyway we finally get back to the counter and I ask for a pack of cigars of my choice with my ID in one hand , cash in the other to the MANAGER THIS TIME! He then says I need to see both of your ID’s . I of course questioned why and he goes to say it’s policy . Sarcastically I asked well what if he leaves out ? He said that’s a different story. My question is “if you thought I was purchasing for a minor “ you should of turned us down , but to allow him to stand outside while I still purchase is still against the law and if I was a secret shopper you definitely would get the RED Card!the same group of 6 party girls right next to us purchasing vapes didn’t show their ID at all I watched them pick their vapes and swipe their cards all while bickering back and forth with the Manager . TUBLOR TOKES HAS LOST ANOTHER FAITHFUL CUSTOMER . Also he tried to convince me that The law is “ if two people are at the counter purchasing both ppl have to show identification even if the purchase is only for one of the individuals ! I’ve never heard of such BS. I sold tobacco products at the gas station I worked for and we only use the both ID’s trick when we feel as if a MINOR is playing the I forgot my ID And convinced someone else to buy it for them .

Tubular Tokes has long been one of my favorite stores. Unfortunately they are not following cdc guidelines and I was quite shocked when I went in last week on April 23rd around 6:30PM I walked into the store and saw the girl working behind the counter to be smoking what appeared to be a joint maybe it was a hand rolled cigarette and handing back and forth with a customer. They are allowing well more than five people in the store at one time. I love this store and the main reason I am writing this is to let the owner know of what happened.

Worst experience in any store i have ever been to. we entered and asked the salesperson if they carried an item, and he rudely says “do you SEE it?” this was on a wall of at least 100 vapes. he then tells us that we were “perfect hitler people” because my boyfriend and i are both blonde with blue eyes. my boyfriend talked to the salesman because i tend to get shy, but the product was for me. when i went to pay he asked for id and i began to pull mine out and he stops me and rudely says “um you have his id?” i stuttered and started to say no im the one buying it, and i was cut off and he said to my boyfriend he needed his id. he didnt have his with him and started to explain that i was shy, and he was also cut off and the salesman said “yeah no thats how it works in florida no id no sale BYEBYE” we walked out. i have never been treated so rudely for literally nothing

By far the best convenience store. I feel appreciated as a customer! Everything is fairly priced so I feel happy to tip. They toss many easter eggs in your bag during check out! Hands down the best convenience store in st pete.

Really cool shop. Prices on snacks and supplies are basically unbeatable. Im not sure if I have interacted with the owner, but all staff I have interacted with have been fine. The vibe here is incredible, thoroughly retro. Black lights, vibrant carpet, trippy paint and wall art. The snack selection is any stoners dream. The whole shop is run on vintage Apple IIs (there are even two set-up in small corners of the shop where you can play The Oregon Trail or Ms. Pacman), they have a cup of pens at the register like any other business, but theirs are logod fountain pens, how bout that. I have read other reviews about poor customer service or a rude owner but I personally have not experienced that. I plan to be back many times.

Called to ask about acceptance of paper ID since I haven’t got the card in the mail yet (cause COVID). I’m not for sure if it was the owner or what but a male worker answered the phone and was instantly being disrespectful and rude. Assumed since I was asking about an ID I was referencing to a Dispensary. Before I could continue to ask he was rude and hung up on me. I’m from Ohio and it’s sad that employees from there are more mannered, disgusted with your employee!

The manger is so rude every time I go in there. I just called to ask if they carry a certain type of vape and he treated me like garbage on the phone. Answered the phone by saying “What!?” . DANGER!!! The PRODUCTS ARE FAKES!!! The joints I purchased had such an awful taste they went straight in the trash. The disposable D8 cartridges were burnt and flavorless. I use D8/9/10 products, so I immediately knew these products were fakes from the unnatural taste. I called the store to inform them that they are selling fake products that are DANGEROUS TO CUSTOMERS, and they hung up on me while I was speaking. I have been a great customer over a year now, However every vape pen that I have purchased has been worthless. Tonight I purchased a pen from an inpatient lady who assisted me. I walked out with the pen and was back within the hour as the pen once again it was faulty and worthless just as the others.I assume the rude guy who was there was the manager. He tried to convince me that my cartridge was bad as the OOZE pen was not. working properly, telling me you gotta click this, pre-heat that. while the pen just refuse to work. I’m a smoker I know how to work a pen. Long story short. I ended up still leaving with a faulty product. Not such good service. Never tried to replace it. Just kept putting the blame on me. I dont smoke or vape, but I heard about this shop because of the vintage 80s decor. As a collector of vintage items and nostalgic Gen X-er (on the cusp, some would say Millennial) I love both stores that havent changed since the 80s, and those that try to recreate that vibe. This is the latter and its REALLY COOL. Everything down to the lighting is authentically vintage and it brings back all sorts of childhoodness, only better and over the top.Turns out they also sell snacks and candy and are kid friendly. If I lived nearby I would probably go there to hang out, maybe read a book or work on my laptop. Starbucks? Way too modern!I cant speak on the non-edible merch but I hear their prices and selection are great. Plus they are locally owned.

Best smoke shop on Central. Great prices and deals. They also have ALL the snacks you could ask for. Beer selection is a little short but you can’t beat it for the price.

Called the Store upon leaving upset after a bad transaction and whomever answered just slammed the phone at me and hung up. Beyond Rude.

The manager is literally insane. He pepper sprayed Mr for going out the back door of the shop after receiving permission to do so from the cashier.
