The Grand

I booked The Grand for a corporate party and cannot say enough good things. Lily went above and beyond to ensure the party was a success. The venue was clean and I loved the LED screens. The venue is a quick uber from Moscone Center, which is super convenient for conference attendees. I highly recommend The Grand for any of your corporate event needs!

They added more to the tip we left on the receipt. If you are tipping on the credit card, take a picture of the receipt you leave with them for proof, if you tip cash, make sure you cross out the tip line and put no tip and take a picture. I know it sounds exhausting but this place will charge you more because theyre hoping you wont remember from all the drinks youve had. If you REALLY need to go to this establishment, just pay in cash. Check all of your credit card charges after youve been here. Youve been warned.

Stay away from this place and anything for their events on Eventbright. They dont honor their claim on their events. Theyll make you wait till after their early entry is over before taking your money. If I could give this place a negative start I would.

Don’t ever buy their ticket online. I purchased a ticket online for after 11pm. I get almost 11:30pm which is fine because the ticket says after 11 pm. But they refuse to let me in. The says the ticket for before 11, but unfortunately the ticket says and thier website clairly says after 11. So I have to pay again to get in.

Awesome place. When we arrived at the club there were two DJs playing. one DJ put on good music and the other terrible. cocktail prices are a little high $15 for a margarita. if you want to put your jacket in the cloakroom you will pay $5 for it.

Be careful! The bartenders charge more than you signed for in the receipt. This happened with two different bartenders in two different areas of the club. This type of outright crime is worrisome.

The security didn’t let us go out and in while he put an stamp on us. Too absurd .I asked for a mojito and they just put an ice and a factory made syrup . That’s it, no mint or lime

If i could give this place 0 stars i would. Staff was extremely rude especially the manager Tiffany. Security guards were pushing and shoving guests in line. I’ll never go back to this place again!

Beware they’ll charge your card more than the receipt you sign! The white, brunette, green-eyed “bartender” (terrible at their job by the way) gave us each receipts. I put in the top section “cash” what do I see after I leave? That she charged extra to get a tip out. Even still, when comparing the same drink I got to others, she gave them different prices. Just trashy & the music is mid. Report them for scams because they don’t respond about their shady employees

We spent a little over $500 for a section for my friends birthday and couldn’t even get a birthday sign when the bottles girls came to bring her bottle. Supposably you have to spend over $700 to get a sign which is ridiculous & disappointing when it’s someone’s birthday and we already spent $500. Service was wack girls didn’t even come enough to tend to us, music is ok! Don’t recommend coming for a birthday celebration forsure.

I visited this dance club for my birthday on October 2022 and unfortunately had a terrible experience. I brought a group of more than 20 people and had ordered the most expensive package, expecting a good level of service. However, this was not the case.Firstly, the waitress seemed to have no interest in customer service and had a bad attitude throughout the night. I felt like I was begging whenever I asked for liquor, water or mixers. The most expensive package was advertised as including free water and mixers, but this was not honored and we still had to pay for them. Thirdly, I ordered some beers but they never arrived at our table, yet we were still charged for them. When I asked about this, the staff were aggressive and defensive.Lastly, the attitude of the security bouncers was equally as poor. I decided to step outside for some fresh air and was not allowed back in without any reason given, even though my whole group was still inside.Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and I would not recommend this dance club to anyone. The staff and security were unprofessional and the service was poor

Hi, just made it to the Grand!I got the discount ticket. When I got to the door they still charge me $15 to get in @ 10:35pm. I asked what is the regular price, she said $50...wow this is not a top club at all. Will share more as the night goes on...later

STAFF MANAGING GUEST LINES IS DISRESPECTFUL AND SHAMELESSLY RIPPING OFF CUSTOMERS.Went to this club for an event last week. I had purchased tickets in advance. During the event, I went out for a phone call and informed the people handling the guest lines that I will be back in a minute.After my call I was re-entering but the staff stopped me and didnt allow me to enter. I showed them my ticket and told them I was inside a few minutes back. But they still wont let me in. There were many other customers as well who went out for smoking/ talking and were not let in.The staff managing the guest lines demanded that we pay again. We all already had tickets and showed them but staff still insisted that once you step out, you need to pay again to get in. They were clearly trying to rip us off and collect money unfairly. After 30 minutes of harrowing experience, my friends got hold of the event manager and upon his intervention, we were allowed to enter. Never had such a horrible experience in any club ever.

Well to begin with this is not what I had expected all. Out of a few clubs I have visited here in San Francisco this is perhaps the worst. A door charge and a dress code is just crazy. The drinks was awful and the prices just way to much. The so called club staff was very rude. The music well let me say this I have heard better. I will not bring no one here for sure. I may just start up a dance club myself after this visit..The Oasis is way better than this..

I was recommended to The Grand by a friend but it was our worst experience. There was nowhere to sit. Every employee was rude. The DJ kept changing music to his own remix which wasnt the best in my opinion. And to top it off when I walked out they said I couldnt come back while my boyfriend was still inside.

Great place to meet with fellow hotdog stand lovers at all hours of the night.Especially fun to hangout with departing clubgoers at closing hour. Do NOT plan your event there! The club organizer, including the manager are liars, unreliable, and very disrespectful. We booked a table for a birthday party in advance and had our guests on the guest list. We were told if we get there before 11 PM we can have everyone in without paying the cover. On the day of the event, they messaged us saying the guest list line will close at 10:30 PM instead. After pointing out our previous agreement to them, they said theyd honor it. They did NOT! We were sent to the wrong line twice until they closed the guest list at 10:30 PM. Then they asked us to pay $30 per person to get everyone in at our table. They were very disrespectful and aggressive to our guests, and did not honor their word. So we left. They ruined our night and our birthday party.

There is a lack of diversity in terms of music. My friend and I had kindly requested some afrobeats music since the DJ was only playing top 40’s. When we made the request the DJ did not acknowledge us and told us that he would not play afrobeats music as he did not think the crowd would like it. Very disappointing night.

Came here on a Saturday night. Very very busy club. Need to show up early or else parking is hard to find too. The good part is at the strike of 10 pm the parking meter turn off and the parking is free. So good idea to come to this club exactly at 10pm. That is when people start leaving from the baseball game and you can slip right in.The club is a very beautiful club. All newly remodeled from when it use to be the glass kat years and year and years ago. They have dancers, VIP tables, confetti that goes off when it hits 12am. People are very dressed up when they come to this club. So dress to impress. Bathrooms are also nice and spacious for the girls. There is even a sitting area and there is always attendants cleaning the bathroom which is nice.The only negative thing I can say is that the cover is $20.00 and the drinks can be a bit pricey. Other than that it is a beautiful club.

The security guards were super mean and disrespectful with my friends and I, the place has good music and inside everything okay, but the security thing sucked everything, they make you feel uncomfortable, never going back

This place is Asian central! For what is it, its great, but if Asian central isnt your scene, get outta here!Top 40s music on Fridays and Saturdays. Great dance floor. Awesome party vibe. Confetti and bubbles!$20 cover is pretty annoying. The cutoff is at 10:30, but make sure to get there by 9:30 to make the cut. The bouncers definitely slow down the line on purpose so people at the end of the line end up paying.

High prices for drinks served in plastic cups. The beers in can bottle thats cheap service for being over priced on drinks.. 1/3 of the club was with people. The rest of the place is empty. Came on a day playing Latino /Hip hop. Good D-Jay he plays good music. Could be better.

Came here for a company Christmas party. I had a lot of fun, the catered food was great, and the drinks were pretty good. I was annoyed that every bar wasnt able to make my go to drink, a Manhattan. They dont stick each one completely, but I can understand they dont have enough room at each bar to do that. The main bar was easy enough to walk to, and the secondary bars are a convenience I dont usually see when Im out, so Im not complaining. Maybe Ill check it out while Im out on the town some time.

I gave it a 4 star because I felt I was too old for the crowd. It was more of an event for the younger people. Loved the upstairs area very nice. People were having a good time. I was stopping by to celebrate my birthday that evening. We parked a bit aways though. It wasnt so bad.

Terrible!! These guys shamelessly rip off people whenever they can and only care about the money. I have been here several times and they always oversell the venue to the point even breathing would be difficult, let alone dancing , etc. The last experience was the worst so far, we booked and already reserved table and got the confirmation for a party of over 40 people. When we got there they moved us from one line to another several times with ridiculous excuses. When they tried to move us again around 10:50 we noted to the line to the end of which they were trying to send us to and that we will not get in till 11:00 which would be the cut off for the gust list. One of the so called supervisors shamelessly said thats right and we need to pay cover and that the guest list already closed at 10:30 to which we protested and showed them the written communication showing the gust list closing on 11:00 pm. still they said we will not get in even by then given the long line, which they in fact built in front of us. These guys dont even honor their words and dont care about anything other than money. I promised myself not to go to grand several times but this was for sure the last time.

The place and service wasnt bad. I took my employees here for bottle service and we had a good time. However you need to be careful, we paid cash and the difference on a card. I signed a receipt for $150.00. I was shocked when I received my credit card statement a few days later for $330.00. Business should never be conducted in a shady way.

Nice club in the heart of SF. The dance floor is a bit small and the DJ will replay songs that other dj´s have previously played. There is no AC so the club gets really hot especially on the top floor. We went for new years 2018 and had a great time.

First off, I am not a big clubber so my view doesnt necessarily reflect others. That being said, music was diverse but a little messy. Transitions from song to song werent very clean. People dancing around were rude as usual, randomly bumbing and elbowing you, but that is expected at all clubs. Coat check guy was friendly and nice. Overall It was just nice to kick it with friends that I havent seen in awhile, have a good time and reminisce about the good times.

Security very rude and unprofessional, very unpleasant experience, would not come back.

THE WORST CLUB I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. Last night we went to a party in Grand. The club was overcrowded. Number of people was 3 times more than the capacity. Sound quality was awfull. Constant fights with security doing nothing. Someone hit my friend while he was doing nothing and the club owner told police they were fighting together because of his own benefit. The worst experience

This place is a nightmare. My wife and I were escorted out after paying $110 each for VIP tickets because we were standing in the wrong area. Seriously??? The staff was extremely rude and lied to us, said they only wanted to talk in a quieter place until we got out side, then they changed the story and said no re-entry. Liars and thieves.

Ive came here a couple times on fridays. Love the variery on music. Throwbacks & new ones. If you dont VIP it the worst. No place to stand or sit. If you have vip table very confteable seats & space but way to expensive for bottles. Ive gone to everynight in the bay area. And this ppl overcharge for bottle service. Like $450 for the cheapest bottle like ciroc or grey goose. Or cheap tequila like $400.

Even if you RSVP for a supposedly free cover, guys will still be charged $20 at the door. Fun club, but you can find others without the steep admittance fee. Id come here again if I werent robbed (figuratively) at the door.

We had 2 tables on the mezzanine level for my friends birthdays last Saturday night, and Im so thankful we had tables. The interior is pretty nice, but the overall space isnt that big. At the beginning of the night, there was enough space to roam around and dance a bit. I had fun just going back and forth from the dance floor to the tables. Eventually, the dance floor got completely packed. The entire first floor was so full of people. By the later part of the evening, I was just bouncing around our tables. It was still fun, but it wasnt ideal. Id come back if a friend was getting bottle service again, but on a regular weekend, Id probably head to Ruby Skye. Untz Untz Untz

Had a great time. They werent too strict on dress code so thats a plus. Great fun atmosphere, a few rude bottle service chicks but other than that its a fun place to dance drink and have a good time.

Disclaimer: I was dragged here against my will, so my review will be completely biased.I was forewarned that The Grand was ratchet. I THOUGHT I was going to The Drake which is right next door, when my friends ushered me into The Grand. There within 2 minutes of arriving at the bar, a guy tapped me on the shoulder and spit SO, SAN FRANCISCO... in my face. To which I responded....so? It was truly a riveting conversation.Then, of course I walked away, only to be tapped again by a guy who first asked me what I was, as if I wasnt a human being, and then showered me with superficial and laud comments like I bet youre a model, or an actress, or a singer? Youre really hot. Im sorry, but in what world does that actually work as a pick up line? In what world?!Thankful for the trickery played upon me by my friends, I was forced to stay for another 3 hours. The first two encounters were quite indicative of the types of people you see at this place. Lots of men prowling for women, lots of women falling over themselves, and a whole mix of men in full on dress suits, to raver chicks with flashing lights.This place is truly classy. Really.

The Grand is one of the premiere nightclubs in sf. Most people in the crowd are dressed to impress and spending a lot of cash. The scene is mostly Asian Americans with some international people. They play house music and top 40s. The dress code is strictly enforced. I have witness the bouncers kicking people out of line so be warned. While dancing I like that the club tries to be like a Vegas type venue with confetti, bubbles, dancers, and fog machines.

It is what it is.Essentially a club in SF that tries to do it Vegas style. Everyone and their mama comes here on Saturday, so be prepared to be squished in!Music is typical mainstream EDM that will keep you dancing all night. Guys here are super thirsty, so ladies watch out.If you dont want to pay the $20, I suggest getting in line no later than 10 for guest list.It might not be my favorite place, but I do always end up having a good time when I go! Maybe its because I know this place would be annoying if I was sober...So drink up!

I went to see an artist that was playing there named sirensceol, so when he started playing I got really excited! However, halfway through his set he was thrown off the decks! They had thrown him off because he refused to play certain mainstream dance music. I personally liked the music he was playing. I was robbed of my money and hate how they handled the situation. To make matters worse, after the show, they posted a picture of a list songs sorted by which key they were in, saying they didnt want a jukebox. They attacked him over the web (Instagram exactly), where as the artist himself did not say a word to harm the club. I will not return to the club because they are VERY unprofessional with how they handle business in the Music industry. I urge all artists to stay clear of this club, as your set will probably be cut short and you will be attacked by the club.

Sept 2014 - Great music, great crowd, great vibe! You can dance non-stop and its great for big groups with the large space. Youll have to pay cover but its worth it.

This place will scam you. Overcharged drinks. Security guards are paid to act like people will perform when they know they won’t. Security guards pushed group of people out of area to disperse an angry crowd that wanted their money back.

Beautiful club! Grown and sexy crowd. Only downfall is the security really take their jobs way to seriously. I mean theres absolutely no where to sit unless your vip.

The grand nightclub is the premiere club in sf. with confetti, dancers and world famous djs its the vegas experience in sf. be prepared to spend a lot of money at the club and dress to impress everyone here is looking to have and rage. mixed crowd and plays house music. dress code is strictly enforced. the club has 2 floors and a center stage right on the bottom of the dj.

Club is so so nothing special like an average club but just to let u know that you can walk inside with anything you want because they dont check you at all which is the crazy part and dangerous especially in the enviroment like that. When i ask Security if they search people he said “oh no we dont do that” which made me realize that i shouldve not go in at first place!

DO NOT CELEBRATE YOUR BIRTHDAY HERE I paid over $1000 for the Elite Birthday package which comes with bottle service a light up sign or cake sparklers balloon decorations a dj shoutout etc. and they didn’t do any of it (besides bottle service) I called and complained telling them they scammed me and for their false advertising and they kept making excuses like “sparklers are a fire hazard” “we don’t have a light up sign or cake” THEN STOP ADVERTISING THAT YOU DO they ruined my 21st birthday I keep calling to hopefully get some money back cause I overpaid for services they lied about and no one is getting back to me DO NOT COME HERE I saw the bad reviews but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt the bad reviews are true don’t waste your time and money here!!

Free entry if you are on the guest list before 11. Was not that crowded when I went Friday night. Attracts a generally older crowd so if youre in college, this place might not be the best.

Pretty sure I paid good VIP money to see a person performing on stage tonight not 3+ hours of a DJ...smh. as I write this still only the DJ is up there....and this place closes in 30 minutes?

Had an absolute ball for Christmas. Full v.I.p treatment. The owner even matched me a bottle and delivered him self. Great lighting. One for the books.

Usually theres a good DJ. Fancy interior and a pretty big dance floor. Upstairs is VIP. Not enough restrooms though and if youre not on the guestlist, its about $20 at the door.

I work nearby. This place is full of bros who get too drunk so we have to clean up their puke every morning. Also the filth that they leave in the alley behind them is strong enough to make me puke.

Attended the Latin Friday Night event. It was decent. Just had one dance floor. Right amount of male and female ratio.

Cool bar/club with good music and an interesting sell with the VIP looking over the dance floor. Generally have some professional dancers to keep things going.

Went Friday for Latin night and there was very little Latin music playing. I like the venue, unfortunately the DJ was very bad.

The bartander guy on the back bar is very rude . The owner has to teach him how to talk to customers nicely.
