It truly is one of kind. The heart and soul for afrobeats and Caribbean culture here in Seattle. They provide a veggie “meat patty” if you arrive on weekends before 9. During the week, their specials on Tuesdays are unmatched. Multiple screens to provide sports viewing, while maintaining a great vibe for those enjoying food or drink. The bartenders are approachable without being overzealous in sharing their culture with you. It’s your honor to be here.

Me & my girlfriend went here on June 30th Saturday night it was amazing. We didn’t dance cuz we were little shy cuz there were all black people & we were only different nationality but we loved the way they were dancing enjoying.. All the people were so nice so friendly. We wanted to go back Sunday but they were closed. we will come again soon. We were visiting from Vancouver Canada .We read some previous reviews we thought maybe not good but we had amazing experience.Next time we gonna make some friends and dance with them cuz I love dancing.

Good atmosphere. Food 3.5 stars, Very Nice StaffSome dishes are really exactly how I would have it back in Jamaica. The curried goat and ackee and saltfish dishes were very good and the fried dumplings were done to perfection. The brown stew snapper and and oxtail were okay, thought the oxtail had too much ginger the one time I had it.Ive been here a few times and will come back. I believe they are reasonably priced and I love the service. The ladies especially are very nice.

I’m not gonna lie the bartender was attractive. I lived in Jamaica for seven years and in St. Lucia would be two years. I missed the food and it feels like home there.

Music can be better, but security is great here. Had a situation where a guy kept trying to get me to dance with him. Security noticed right away and responded quickly to deescalate the situation. Will definitely visit again

Came here for the first time on my birthday weekend, excited to finally experience the hype for myself. As a Seattle native, I’m always down to support Black-owned businesses here, as they are very few and far between. The place was extremely crowded and I did my best to stay out of the way, but was ultimately pushed around inadvertently by others coming and going. Eventually I found a little spot to stand in. Apparently the area I was in was reserved, although prior to finding that out I had asked two separate people in the immediate vicinity if it was closed off. They said no, I was good. A few minutes later a woman steps up to me, just standing and staring. I step back to let her by, but she stays put, so I apologize and step back again and gesture for her to go by. She looks me up and down, rolls her eyes, finally goes past me, stepping on my foot in the process. Turns out she was the “boss lady” (owner?), who unfortunately attempted to intimidate me instead of effectively communicating by using her big girl words. Had she informed me I was in a reserved area, in a civil way, I gladly would have apologized and moved. I spent over $120 (two tickets to get in and 2 double drinks) and was only there for about 30 minutes. I wish I could get my money back. The only plus was the bartender who was lovely!

Afro beats on Friday’s was fire 🔥 they strictly played afro beats. Not hip hop, not R&B, just Afro beats!!! You can buy a section or you can stand on the dance floor (which most everyone does). We will be back again

I visited Red Lounge for the first time Friday night for the Afrobeats Party, and everyone from the security to the young ladies accepting admission to the bartenders was very kind. But this review is about just one person I encountered that evening by the name of Aji/Ajai/Ajayi. I dont know how he spells his name, but a description could help: a short man in a too-tight pullover and an outdated fedora with a terrible attitude. When I gave him the wait a minute hand when he asked me and my friend to move so people who purchased a bottle could be seated, I guess that bruised his ego, because he then tried to curse at me and threatened to call security. Nothing in a club in Seattle warrants that kind of attitude, and if he doesnt have thicker skin, he should pursue a different line of work. I suggest leaving him off the floor and having less fragile employees interface with customers.

Caribbean Nights are the best! I just want to know who to ask for a soca lovers night, especially now that it’s carnival season! Guuyyyyysssssss…my addiction needs a pacifier!Otherwise I’ll say they have alright—about a 7 of 10–Jamaican food. The sound system pumps! I feel the bass in my soul. The energy is always good in the club even if it’s not a crowded night. I love how the crowd is diverse and everyone is just doing their thing freely and comfortably. You guys carry a beacon here and I hope you know it! May it continue to grow. I’m looking out for what’s next and new from here because right in the heart of Seattle right there with all those schools and high traffic spots close by… there’s more gold. Y’all should be spearheading some sort of Seattle Carnival, Seattle Reggaefest, something! The spot feels like home. I’m grateful for a little home away from home.Okay bye ❤️

This is a simple Lounge were Jamaican music is played. It’s one of the best places in Seattle to mingle with the Caribbeans and dance to reggae, dancehall, roots, Kenyan, West African music and more. You need to book a table if you want to seat otherwise you will stand holding your drink all through. It gets crowded.. but worth a try

The best club in Seattle for Afro beats and music you can actually dance too! The music , vibe and camaraderie makes it the perfect atmosphere to recreate the perfect night. If you haven’t danced until your legs hurt in a while, I’d suggest making this your next stop.

For sure my spot for bites and vibes of the Caribbean always delivers on the jerk chicken, Ox tails, goat and Fridays and Saturdays get lit when the DJs turn up. Hands down the hottest International vibes. The Rum Punch is the truth, love the staff great to celebrate a birthday of special event.

I’m suing you! I asked the beast not to touch me and he did! So did the geriatric bottle aka mc that lightens her skin, touched me as well! I’m coming for the both of you with a lawyer!@redlounge owner. You’re a disorganized club. We paid for VIP., which we had asked for 45 mins prior to us being seated! No matter the circumstances, your staff should NEVER touch customers, that’s AGAINST THE LAW. Don’t worry a lawyer will reach out to you and your establishment and employees! That was assault point blank period!!!!

This place was very delicious. I felt like somebody’s auntie was in the back there cooking. We ordered the curry goat, curry shrimp and cod fritters. The curry and rice could have used more seasoning, but the cod fritters took the show. They look like big meatballs with the crispy edges. Inside was a mouthful of yummy spices. Service was ok, they were nice. I would definitely return to this place.

First timer...drove all the way from Federal Way! Ive been living in Washington for about 3 years and Ive been saying I need to check this place out. Im originally from The Bahamas so I know good island/Caribbean food. I had the curry goat...delicious!!! So tender, OMG!!! Will definitely be back. Cant wait for COVID to be gone so I can see what the night life is like. Hopefully some good old school reggae, dancehall and soca.

Bouncers at night allow drunk men to Harass women . Once women go and complain, bouncers don’t say anything about it but once women retaliate they manhandle the women out the club instead of kicking these sick men out. Best believe I’ll never come back and encourage every women not to come here, you won’t be “protected”.

Its clear that the restaurant turns into a nightclub at night based on other reviews and flyers posted inside and around town. My review has nothing to do with the club.I started coming to Red Lounge after trying Pams and Im so glad I did!Ive taken my father that was born and raised on St. Croix to both and he, like I, prefers Red Lounge. The flavor of the curry goat, oxtail, fried plantains, beans and rice are on point!!! The oxtail is the only meal that weve gotten that could use a little more meat. Other meals were really good too so you should give them a go too.Theyll get a 5 Star review when they clean the stickiness from the nightlife from the floors (minimal) and have fresh and real callaloo (with crab too) once a week or twice a month.

I checked online to see what time they are opened. As stated online, they are opened Friday and Saturday 9pm-2am. At least they should be. I just arrived and they are CLOSED. (By the way today is Friday and its currently 11:30pm). This is really inconvenient being that I drove from Tacoma. I was recommended to check this place out since Im new to Washington state. Ive been looking forward to listening to some good music and having a good time. Maybe next time
