Food is okay but overpriced. Shouldve gone to Caseys which has cheaper steak. Ordered ribeye, NY strip, and Prime Rib. Its decent but only come with a potato or rice. Everything else is add-on.Appetizers are better but portion is small given the price.Recommend: French onion soup, Grilled octopus, Brocolli and Cauliflower with Brie (side item), and Brussel Sprouts with almonds (side item).Service is friendly until they start to get busy after 7pm.

Dinner was good. Service was prompt and the salad bar looked delicious, although none of us partook. The prime rib was good as well as the poke bowl and the brussel sprouts side dish. On a side note the nightclub side of things is fun as well. Good sound system and the band was good. Not too loud where you feel like your ears will bleed. Fun place to visit for your vacation up here.

Took my parents here for dinner and we had an absolute blast. While you wait for your table you can enjoy the show upstairs for free and then once you do sit down you’ll be treated to a great atmosphere, delicious food, and an all around good feeling ski town vibe. For transportation I recommend using their free door to door shuttle from wherever you are staying in the area.

Not worth it. Server, Bruno, was great. Steaks were overcooked, pork belly had no flavor (not sure how you pull that off). Management was not great. I watched one manager talk back to a guest on the phone, the other seemed appalled when we asked for our tickets to the late night bar. Sorry, I just spent $600 at your establishment, how dare I ask a manager to assist me.

Wanted to give an update: ended up throwing up overnight (food poisoning all day after)For those who dont want to read the blurb- if i had to use one word to describe my experience: “SCAM”Appetizers were great. I got the octopus (quite salty) and wings (great!!). Service was also perfect, quick and respectful. As for the steak, you would think a steakhouse would know what temp to cook a steak to. The prime rib was great, nice and tender (medium rare). However, the porterhouse which was also supposed to be medium-medium rare was blue; the steak itself was not the quality you would expect for such a price. Did not enjoy it at all and had to spit pieces out that i could simply not chew through. As for the baked potato that came on the side, it was crunchy and undercooked. I decided to opt out of dessert and get the check. I was met with multiple up-charges and fees on certain items that even my waitress could not explain. I understand the occasional bad cut of meat or over-seasoned appetizer, but when they try to blatantly scam me… The restaurant owners are hurting their own staff as no one wants to tip after getting scammed.

If the hostess are going to talk bad about customers and roll their eyes then they probably shouldn’t be front of house. The only person who made the experience bearable was Sharon, our server. The hostess sat us without fixing our table. We were a party of 8 and they wanted to put us at two different tables without fixing the tables. Sharon came over and said “Let me fix this for you guys. You should be able to eat together.” She was the only one that was accommodating. The food is overpriced and it’s not good. The ribeye was small and some of the steaks were burnt, but we were afraid to send it back because we didn’t want them to spit in our food. I’m from out of town, and I think that “Choices Restaurant” was much more welcoming than this restaurant. As we were leaving the restaurant, one of the hostess made a snark comment, “Oh look, it’s the party that knew 24 people.” Seriously? There was a miscommunication amongst the families that were coming for a ski trip and I don’t think your comment was necessary at all.

The best thing about the old Wobbly Barn was that after a day of skiing, one could immediately satisfy ones kids or teenagers appetites one minute after ordering with a colossal salad bar with great soups. The salad bar was an event. You were barely finished with your salad/soup, and your entree arrived. Now, the salad bar has been eliminated and prices have been increased substantially. Now Wobbly is just like any other expensive restaurant that specializes in steak. Time for some new competition to arrive, the access road needs it.

After the second day of snowboarding we came in here right as the mountain closed. No wait, really great service, and the food was delicious! My boyfriend and I split the 18oz porterhouse steak and each got the salad bar side. The steak was well worth every penny of the $49 that it was. The drink were also delicious! Great selection of local drafts also. The salad bar side in my opinion was a little pricey at $10/person, we mainly had the bread, which was delicious but not $20 worth! The salad bar itself was fairly basic and not spectacular, the soup was absolutely delicious tho, it was a winter root vegetable soup and that was really good, but again probably would just opt for a soup side next time and ask for bread with dinner. The porterhouse steak was delectable though, perfect for us to split and cooked perfectly medium rare! Definitely will go back there next time!

Wobbly morals - Andy (driver of the Wobbly Wagon) leaves women strandedAfter a long day of skiing, we were a bunch of car-less young women just looking for a ride. We were waiting for a shuttle to our condo complex from the K1 lodge, but after a full shuttle bus passed us by due to max-capacity, we called the Wobbly Wagon shuttle service requesting a ride to the Wobbly Barn for a drink instead. Over the phone, Andy reassured us twice that we would be able to grab a ride to the Wobbly Barn to enjoy a beverage. We made sure to tell him that we had our skis in tow, he replied that he would make it work in his vehicle. Once he pulled up to the lodge, and we got into the car, Andy was passive-aggressively and rudely lecturing us about how the shuttle normally doesnt take people from the lodge, doesnt typically transport skis, as well as repeating his beliefs that every skiier should bring a car to the mountain so that they can transport themselves (which seems to be the complete opposite of the idea of having a free shuttle to transport those who are drinking). In reality, its both inaccessible, inequitable, and unsafe to promote this exact belief, especially considering the known risks of drinking and driving. Despite us apologizing profusely for inconveniencing him, he continued to berate us through entirety of the drive. Before we arrived, Andy abbrasively asked us how we would provide his tip to him. He said to us I take venmo and as the generous group of young women we are, we obliged. Once he dropped us off, he exited his vehicle and walked into the wobbly barn- we assumed he was speaking to his colleagues before he turned around and left. We stashed our skis around the corner of the building, although he had told us he would help us find a place to put them. Once we walked into the building, we were immediately told our ski boots werent allowed (no greeting, just being immediately dismissed). Andy knowingly led us to this establishment and he should have a proper understanding of the rules of conduct and guidelines for this bar. He should never have accepted our ride in the first place it he was aware that they would not permit ski boots in their facility. Additionally, one friend in our group has long struggled with Reynauds syndrome, which leaves them very sensitive to the cold weather conditions in Vermont. We waited outside for over a half hour in order to grab alternative transportation, Andy passed us two times and did not ask us if we needed a ride home or to check if we were ok. One would think that an employee of the establishment whose job it is to transport people safely (really any good person with morals) would be helpful and kind to those who are clearly new to the mountain. Ultimately, were sharing this review in order to warn the management at the Wobbly Barn that their staff would be hyper aware of the safety of women. Some kindness would have gone a long way in our situation, as we did the best we could to thank Andy at every opportunity for driving us to our destination. It is clear to us that Andy would not have treated a group of young men in this manner. He clearly took advantage of us, took our tip, and left us stranded at a bar we could not get in to--we were left ride-less, cold, disappointed, and thoroughly shocked about our experience at wobbly barn. Something must be done to remedy this so future women do not have a similar experience. Long live the pickle barrel!

Food is 4 stars (steaks are “choice” not “prime”) but loses one star due to the continued reduction in value. Most steaks are double the price they were years ago and no longer come with a baked potato or soup/salad bar (now $10 extra). All sides cost extra. They also used to make homemade Parmesan peppercorn salad dressing that was incredibly good. No longer. Still, it’s the best steak and salad in Killington. Service, however, is excellent with an experienced and friendly staff. Best deal is to order an appetizer and the salad bar. If you really want high end food in Killington, visit the Ledgewood Yurt or even the Peak Lodge.

The Wobbly Barn is apparently the most popular place in town, and I imagine one of the largest. The ground floor has two bars, a stage, and a dancing area; downstairs is a restaurant. The menu is predominantly steaks, though fish and other proteins (chicken, lamb, duck) can be found as well. Though varied, the salad bar is standard and unimpressive. Steaks are decent if a touch overcooked. Sides are heavy and buttery. The flourless chocolate torte is rich and nicely done. The space is nothing special. Service is seasoned and pleasant. Visiting Wobbly Barn for a company offsite, I enjoyed the upstairs bar area with live music. The bars on either side are surprisingly small given the capacity but the bartenders still seem to address all patrons with a little wait. The beer selection is pretty standard as far as domestics go. The restaurant downstairs is known for its bread and salad bar, which I sampled but wasnt blown away by. I definitely enjoyed my filet and mashed potatoes the best but feel like its a standard restaurant that really gets by on its good service and old school charm.

Overpriced chicken pie. What a let down it was like a 1/2 can of Campbell’s cream of chicken soup with a hunk of cardboard bread filling the entire soup bowl. Discussed I paid $24 for dog food scraps. Never go there. It’s allure is it’s Barn-like exterior. But when you enter seeking a steak dinner you are sent to the cellar with no widows and the red meat is so much money you quickly scan the menu for something you can afford. If you get stuck there choose the salad bar! The chicken pie sucks.

So for a place that has been around since 1963, it must be doing something right. The Wobbly Barn has been a centerpiece of nightlife on the killington access road and a steady steakhouse too. Good place to see some music and have a beer after skiing. Not sure about the food, but I hear it’s hit or miss.

Wobbly Barn may be the best restaurant in the desolate culinary world of Killington. For an area that attracts affluent clientele all winter long, the restaurants are not exceptional. However, the steak and service at Wobbly Barn make it stand out in this desert of good food. The beer selection is pretty good with a few crafts and some locals on tap. The wine list is pretty good as well, and has some robust reds to go with the meat. The focus may be on the steak, but the seafood is pretty good as well. The thai mussels are nice and flavorful with a spicy tang that enhances the mussels. The ahi tuna was incredible, so delicately seared it is nearly a steak, it should be on everyone’s order. As a steakhouse, though the steak had better be good, and it is. The porterhouse is a deliciously thick and tasty slab of meat, cooked to a perfect medium rare, or whatever temperature is desired. They know their meat here. It is honestly one of the best steaks I’ve had, and was so amazingly perfect after a long day of exertion on the slopes. It can be a bit hard to get in because of the demand during peak ski season, so go early, or late for the best chance of getting a table.

College club treatment with the cost of an elite steakhouse.greeted at the door with the strictest id checkers and hand stampers. i felt like i was checking into a courthouse. im 38 and look it. no need for that nonsense. ohh, want a well vodka and cranberry? thatll be $22. no joke. $22 for a mixed drink... beer? want an average local ipa? thatll be 7 bucks. drafts? 5 bucks. yeah right. dont waste your time, go somewhere off the main drag and get better food and drinks for 1/4 the price. food was ok, but nothing to write home about. certainly not for these prices. wait staff was extremely nice and helpful. all the employees were, really... well except for the wardens at the entrance, lol.

I would give the night club 3 stars if I could. But I would also never pay a cover to get in. The restaurant is so over priced its unbeliveable not one person in our party was happy with anything during dinner. The steak prices were so high! Save your money and go to a real steak house and get a PRIME steak!
