Excellent price point. Large, clean room. COMFORTABLE beds. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Is it an older property? Yes, but it seems decently maintained. I don’t know what people are looking for at this price point, but in my eyes, a clean, affordable bay view room is a no brainer. Kids enjoyed the pool when we got done at the beach each day. Kitchen was a bonus money saver because we could cook. My family and I will be back for sure! If you’re looking to save on lodging to splurge on food or activities, this is place is for you.
Rooms look nothing like pictures you see online. Room smelled horrible between urine and cleaning products. Almost like they tried cleaning before customers (us) showed up. The bed sheets looked like someone had been sleeping there prior to us showing up. Sheets also had stains on them. Shower walls were molded (black) up we had no hot water. We showered between luke warm and cold water on and off from a full shower. The bathroom also had big pipes running out of walls up unto the ceiling to the other side of the wall covered in black foam. The shower knobs had no covers and squeaked while turing on and off. While shower was on you heard loud noises between walls. You couldnt close bathroom door unless you literally slammed the door a couple of times. Im not sure how this place could still be open to the public under these unsanitary circumstances. Its a perfect location to the rock pork park but really not healthy to stay in. I give this place a thumbs down.
The pictures online make it look better. The 1st room that was given to us was dirty and not cleaned and seem to have someone already staying as it had a lottery ticket and a phone on the bed. Reached out to the staff and they did give us another room that was clean no problem. The tv was unplugged as the closest outlet dont work so they have an extension cord they connected to another plug in the room. Once I figured that out the tv remote had no batteries so we just watched the default channel as it was late to ask the staff for batteries. The restroom was really nice. The doors do have a gap between the door and frame. But overall was a quiet area. Close to the beach which was the purpose of our trip. Gave you a place to sleep and shower. If it was a last min booking or a budget place you are looking for it wasnt too bad. But if you have time or a big budget would recommend elsewhere.
Room is clean, shower was decent, towels worn out, the bed this 2nd time around was horrible!!! The rate wasnt bad for a Thursday but then the weekend hits and they love to raise the rate by 3-4 times the original rate if you decide to stay an extra night!!! That sucked!!!
I didnt even want to make this post but here I am lol well this is our third night in a row here. Rm15 our first night and rm10 for 2 days. My husband and I are currently in room 10 again. Yesterday night at 1am the AC turned off at 1am (no remote control for the AC). My husband and I woke up very hot. We cant tell the front office at that time because the office is closed til 8am. So we just toughed it out all night. I went to let them know at 9am but as usual nobody was there in the office so I had to call the manger cellphone number that is written on the paper at the door thats attached to the open sign. (While its locked and nobody is in the office) The manager answered and I told her the problem the AC went out at 1am theres also no remote control for the ac in the room and she goes did it turn off because it was turned to 61 or did it shut off just to shut off i said maam it was on 70 when we came in and my husband and I woke up hot as hell. She then proceeded to ask me well how did it shut off I looked over to a group of other people in disbelief because they knew about the situation because I told them what happened and I told the manger over the phone I cant tell you that maam we woke up hot at 1 am and there was not a remote control opon our arrival. she then says huh well here I come Im on my way back Fast forward my husband has the blue wizard where any oyo you book you get rooms for cheaper price. He said he was going to the office to see if theyll accommodate us a refund or even half of our money back. He comes back and tells me the manger daughter (who use to work at the Aransas pass Oyo) was getting mouthy and having a attitude like she always does saying they cant accommodate us anything because we stayed the night in the room and because hes a blue wizard and if he wants a better room hes going to have to pay extra (can you guys believe that?) My husband said he didnt argue with her because we had a situation with her before at the Oyo in Aransas where she use to work where she knocked on the door and I asked who is it and she got mad and started yelling dont yell me when she was told countlessly nobody yelled at her. Anyways back to the air-conditioning topic. My husband booked another night because they fixed it even though they didnt accommodate us at all. Well at 2:18am I woke up sweating and my husband was up and he says yeah it went off again and the maintenance man didnt leave the remote control yesterday after fixing it. Now Im piss because the office is closed I dont want to call the manger and bother her at all and have her upset because her and her daughter especially the daughter have a attitude for no reason and Im not trying to go there with a person who doesnt have common courtesy on how to talk to someone especially a customer. So at 8am theyll be seeing me bright and early and Ill come back with a update. I really wish there was a way to get a hold of someone thats over them. This is ridiculous hopefully somebody is there office in about 3 hrs and 10mins.
I like this place. As long as your expectations are in line with the price point, I think you’ll be pleased with your stay. It’s a great location and all conditions and amenities are well aligned with the price. Staff was very friendly and exceeded my expectations.
Me and my sister had to wait over an hour to get a room due to the manager saying she was out in Corpus and that there wasn’t anything else she can do she was rude over the phone and the man she had in the lobby couldn’t even help with customer services. Poor management overall
Room had no light, no towels just the small ones. 120 dollars for one night when over the phone we were told 2 nights. Got into town around 11pm so it was hard to find another room under short notice. Beds didnt have blankets just thin brown sheet like covers and the toilet was wet like someone tried to clean it right before we got there
Hospitality was fantastic. Room was clean. Reds were very old and uncomfortable. The made loud creaking sounds any time we would turn over. We had 2 full sized beds and both were like this. In fact we checked out A dayearly because our bodies wete sore and aching from the beds.
It is a cheap room right in the middle of Rockport. I wanted to save on the room but spend on the dinner. Staying at OYO fit my need. The WIFI sucks however. I had my own so I didnt bother to complain but it never worked for me.
Lorraine was amazing! My know kids had a blast especially swimming in the swimming pool everyday.
Dont even think about it .Upon arriving at our room, we were immediately greeted by an unclean and unpleasant odor. The overall cleanliness left much to be desired, and to our dismay, we noticed a cockroach above the bed. This was extremely distressing and not something we expect from any accommodation.To add to our discomfort, the bathroom facilities were in poor condition with a broken system and no running water. This made it incredibly challenging for us to maintain basic hygiene during our stay. Furthermore, the noise emitted by the refrigerator was so disruptive that getting a decent nights sleep became nearly impossible.We attempted numerous times to reach out to Bell Reception for assistance. After more than 10 attempts, we finally managed to connect with an employee who promptly hung up on us after briefly explaining our concerns. This lack of empathy and support only exacerbated our frustration.Given these circumstances, I strongly discourage anyone from having a similar experience at your establishment. It is disheartening for us as guests to encounter such issues during what should have been a pleasant stay.we will never visit OYO Again !
Just stopped to inquire about a room for a week. After returning to my car and realizing the lady did not answer my question about a pet fee, I returned to door. Lady opened door and very rudely asked did I want a room or just want to ring the doorbell all night. Sign said ring bell for assistance. Hours were until 11 p.m., and I arrived at 9:50 p.m. She then slammed door and said she was closed. Guess I did not want the room. Extremely rude. I will definitely be letting EVERYONE know to avoid this place.

Oh my gosh, what a VIEW!! We got a room here with a gorgeous bay view right out our windows! I mean right there! Perfect for when the heat starts getting to you - just head inside with ice cold AC and enjoy the water 50 feet away.And since its right on the bay, its excellent for a nice walk, fishing - food is also a skip away with a few cheap options like Sonic and McDs.They are true to their word and are pet friendly! $25 per dog, and they MUST be potty trained. Theres a small beach perfect for dogs with a little potty area outfitted with those small bags for their droppings. I recommend bringing water though - our dogs wore themselves out swimming and playing and we forgot our water back in our room.The pool has long hours and is nicely situated - gazebo was a nice touch, especially how its designed and sectioned for privacy.Everything is clean, and our set up suited us quite well.We loved it and the area so much we literally made arrangements for another night stay.Jenny is your gal - I highly recommend booking your stay here with her.

Budget place in a decent location. My room was clean and comfortable. It had tile flooring instead of carpeting, which is smart as its easier to keep hygienic; more places should do that.I bumped the score up a little after talking with some of the staff since they seemed good and thats never a certainty even for high-end places.
Beds were comfortable, but there was a cockroach under my blanket when I woke up which is really disgusting
Did not have the room we reserved, but did upgrade which was nice. Tub in room leaked on the floor when used and went through the wall into main area. Front door was difficult to open when leaving room. Overall not a bad experience for the price but the door problem was agitating as was wiping up water. Room needs work obviously. There was not a table and chairs to sit and eat but there was a microwave and coffee maker and refrigerator. So not having a table and chair no matter how small didnt make sense.

We booked for double king beds. I was 34 weeks pregnant and we brought all the kids. We arrive to check in they say they tried to call and cancel because all they had was queens, no one tryed to call or email us. We asked for a refund to pay for the amount the queen rooms go for the lady said no you have to cancel. Now if i cancel i wouldnt get any refund according to the booking terms. So we took it. Go into the room measure the small beds because i knew looking at it they were small. She gave us 2 full size beds and told us they were queens. Sonwe pay for kings and end up with full size beds. The door wouldnt even open and close properly. It was july 4th weekend the front desk was more worried about pleasing her friends and family then doing her job they were all there bbqing in and out of the office. When we 1st arrived she stated her sister was in town and she was trying to figure out dinner and shower thats why she wasnt at the desk for so long. Im sure she gave our room to friends and family. The rooms were filthy and mold on the walls. My 3 year old slipped in the shower and hit his head on the hard tile floor mainlu because they have no place to put your shower essentials except on the floor. Theres no place for woman to get ready properly. The only person i saw working the entire time there was the older gentleman who would pick up trash and clean the outside. Do not recommend this place for woman or families.
Worst experience in my life with the front desk lady. She said the room was ready but when I saw it, there was a full trash can and the bed was dirty . So when I asked for clean sheets she said I’m not staying here and was asked to get off her property. On top of that she still charged me $82 for the day and Oyo customer service refused to refund me😡😡😡
This is room #9 the Tv was great and floors were clean, housekeeper very nice. A/C window worked and lights worked plus ceiling fan too, and we did have hot water, sink and toilet were clean.We’ll the rooms need lots of love but for a business stay of (2 days) it’s ok not for vacation, better furniture would do it more Justice.Some have a A/C units on the windows but not all rooms but we did and it needs to be cleaned. We made the best of it and we are grateful.
I think the price should have been lower. The Hotel is a Motel and did not look like the description online. My car got scratched in the parking area. I just picked the wrong one. I should have found a hotel in port Aransas where I spent most of my time. The OYO Hotel was across from the lagoon and beach but the beach area smelled like sewer. It was okay if your just looking for somewhere to sleep the night. I dont think I would stay there again.
Got what I paid for, and that is what I wanted. 4 walls and a clean bed. They are updating the rooms, and Jen from the office was very nice. Dale with maintenance was very helpful to get my TV on track. Excellent rates for an okay room. Had a view of the bay.
Don’t believe the pictures. We were totally catfished! Pictures looked amazing. The actual place was disgusting! Roaches were everywhere, shower was broke with NO hot water, bugs in the corners of the room. I was appalled. I left immediately. I’m surprised this place is still able to be open to the public to be honest. I usually don’t do reviews but I didn’t want someone else making the same mistake. The door didn’t lock or the lock got stuck and no one was around to help open it. The lady in the front office was very nice but the hotel was in horrible condition. Do NOT waste your money here. I wish I would have seen these reviews before I booked! The location was good but NOT worth it! I’d rather sleep on the beach than in the hotel room. Outside seemed more sanitary than this place.
We had to switch rooms at first as our first room hadnt been cleaned nor did it have lightbulbs and power. The second room we were moved to was the only room they had that night and it wasnt cleaned at all. Mold in the cupboards, floors werent cleaned, leftover clothes from other guests towels hidden under the bed, shower didnt have hot water unless you wanted to wait thirty minutes, AC for the room was disgusting didnt blow very well at all due to the filter not being cleaned
Advertised as having wifi, I thought great go down two days earlier and I can work in the afternoon. But no wifi. Rooms were clean but stuff falling apart, shower drain cover was laying in the corner of the shower, one of the guys that worked there was arguing with his girlfriend right outside our window all hours of the night, apparently there is no pool time as there was people with stereo speakers so loud you could here it over the tv in our room so dont plan on going to bed early. Definitely will not be back.
Was given key to an already occupied room! Room was not cleaned very good and had a bad smell. Office was closed at 8am when checking out had to ring doorbell to which no one answered. Had to leave key in room when leaving so didn’t get to check out properly or get pet deposit back. Pool area was with people drinking alcohol so didn’t get to enjoy it! Will not stay there again. We decided to extend our stay in Rockport so we went to another hotel.
I guess you get what you paid for. Pictures look amazing, but reality is not even close to the pictures. We booked 4 bedrooms and just were able to use 2 of them. They were infested with roaches. Floor was dirty so don’t even think about walking barefoot. Towels were stained with something and there’s mold everywhere. If it rains it gets flooded outside. Next door there was people fighting and arguing in the morning and they look like they live there. So for what you get maybe it’s pricey. It’s a good location so you pay just for location.

The office was polite. and housekeeping was thoughtful and considerate. The room was clean and stocked with towels. The pool was perfect for our little one.. For the price on a holiday weekend, we were satisfied. The office closed early (5) and there was no office staff available. Good thing for the housekeeping woman. She was very helpful. (overworked - looked like) The management should put more effort into their employees, and this place. It has potential! A good place to have a clean bed and a shower 🚿.
Although Melinda at the front desk was super nice and very responsive this hotel was the worst we’ve ever stayed at on our trips. The room was nasty dirty and it looked like at one time the door had been kicked in but never repaired so it wouldn’t fully close. Got up in the middle of the night to use the rest room and turned on the light to see nothing but roaches scattering everywhere under the bubbling paint on the walls. The tv didn’t work and the 2 AC units had troubles keeping up. I really wanted to give a good review because Melinda was the bomb.
Sooo it’s got all the amenities you need. Little fridge, microwave, coffee pot nice big bed ! It’s clean and service was great but if you’re looking for the ritz, move on! But if you’re looking for a place to crash after being out and about all day, this is a good place, in a good Location and price was right!!
From the time we pulled up which was a little early the Lorraine was friendly and accommodating. Originally we were given a small room instead of the king size that was reserved. However the TV did not work, so Lorraine changed our room, and she gave us the king size room that was originally reserved. This room pretty much looked like the one on the website. The only thing that was missing from the was a table or desk, chair and pictures on the walls. Room and bathroom were clean with plenty of clean towels. We were given additional clean towels when asked. We stayed 2 nights. The second day the room was not cleaned, however when asked staff provided linens to change bed linen ourselves. Large room. The pool was clean.Price for the room was great.Thank you so much! Overall good experience.
This place was absolutely filthy! I was “catfished” because the pictures are NOT how the rooms really look. Roaches everywhere, someone’s hair in my sheets when I pulled the covers back, no hot water…my daughter has asthma and suffered an asthma attack due to the mold. My door DID NOT lock, basically didn’t even need a key card in order to get in my room! I was so upset, checked out and still waiting on my refund!!
Clean room. Great view of beach. There are never anyone in the office. Manager is never there. Nobody will answer the phone, EVER.. Door would only unlock after extensive trying. Gave $100 cleaning deposit. Their website gives return number but my credit card has never received it.. Guest beware. If not for getting my deposit back in a timely manor or anyone answer the phone I would give a better rating. If these concerns are met I would gladly stay again.

We were put in a 2 full size bed room when we book 1 full and 2 queen bed and there was a huge hole in the wall. We then were moved to another room and when we took a shower the toilet started leaking out of the bolt and the shower wouldn’t drain. We told the office lady who was WONDERFUL about it and they were going to move us rooms again. We looked at the new room and it smelt like mildew. We just decided to leave and find somewhere else. Staff was wonderful but the upkeep of the hotel is horrible!
When I got there no one was there to check me in, after calling the number left on the lobby door I was told my room key had been left on the top of an outdoor vending machine… only none of the 5 keycard holders had my name on it. So I was told to grab a random card and that the room would be empty. It was except for the cockroaches that scattered when I turned on the only light in the room, that bathroom light at the back of the room. One bed still had dirt and hair in it. The towels looked like they had just been refilled dirty. There were stains of something flung at several points in the room and bathroom not sure what they were. But since I had driven 10 hours and by this point it was 1 AM all I wanted was to rest. However when I woke at 3 AM to use the bathroom and the roaches scattered again even with the light on I could no longer handle it. I was out in 10 minutes and waited until 8:30 AM to go back and request a refund for the remaining reservation at the desk but unsurprisingly no one was there yet. So once again calling I was told the office didn’t open until 10 am. No resolution besides being told I would receive a refund. It has been a month and still haven’t received any of it. Hopefully I can post photos of how they really rent their rooms out. This was the most disgusting motel I have ever been in and it doesn’t comply with many “industry” standards.
The lady was very nice when we checked in so we thought things would go well. Stayed two nights, no housekeeping service ever came by, needed bathroom tissue and went to the front desk only to find a sign on the door that said away from property and call a number. The second night there was no hot water in the shower and only warm water in the kitchen. I realize this hotel was not the most expensive but there are some things that just need to happen at a hotel/motel.
Hotel of your nightmares; Bedbugs and they did not refund our damage deposit 4 nights we canceled and did not stay.My family and I came to town last minute because of a death in the family. We just needed a place to sleep at night as we were with family during the day so we did not have high expectations of the Oyo. When we walked in it was a bit creepy with holes in the walls, the room was dirty, stained towels and holes in the bedding. However it was cheap and we just needed a place to sleep, the beds were comfortable and the sheets at least seemed clean.I found an adult bedbug crawling on my daughters pillow when I checked on her during the night. We captured the bug and brought it to the management to ask for a refund. They refused a refund but said we could cancel the remainder of our stay and receive a refund for the days we did not stay. We immediately packed up our stuff in trash bags to take to a laundromat and disinfect, turned in our keys and let them know that we were leaving.Also the management did not seem concerned by the bedbug, even refused to look at the one we had captured.We have not received any refund for the time we did not stay and they are holding our $200 damage deposit fee. It has now been 11 days since we left and I have contracted the hotel and asked to speak to the management and was promised a call back. I am from Rockport and visit here multiple times a year to see my family. I will never stay here again.
You guys seriously need to visit this location for yourselves. Honestly. Go to room three. The door can’t be fully opened. The door doesn’t lock. There’s no chain or keyless bolt as required by Texas state law. The window is not secured due to the AC window unit not installed correctly. No phone to call 911 if necessary. And the chairs appeared to have been infested with bedbugs. No Wi-Fi even though Wi-Fi is advertised. It’s a room that hotel horror movies are made of. I’m fighting for a full refund which they don’t want to give.

It was the most disgusting room I have ever had to make my family in. Dirt and bugs build up every where the ceiling fan and light just covered in it and neither worked. Smelled bad, dirty counters and floors, hair and yrs of dirt and grime all over. Duck tape covering a huge hole in the wall, couldn’t use stove top if I wanted. I didn’t let them lay on the beds till I stripped them. Toilet seat didn’t match toilet so it was a game to stay on. Water was either just hot or just cold it wouldn’t let the medium water come out it would shut off it it went to the middle. I tried to get out even after the kids started feeling bad and the manager (never was there) said no refund no partial I could just leave. Trash all outside no one looks like they ever pick up. Very out dated and run down nothing like the pics in the booking. The lady checking people in had a great attitude and tried a lot to help. She should be working where she would excel! I wouldn’t give any stars but it made me that’s how much it sucked. Being no other rooms available any where I had to cut the vacation and leave a beach an ocean we have never got to see. So disgusted and mad.
Our rooms were clean but very dated. I had to remove the tank lid every time to flush commode. Absolutely nothing like the online photos!! Charged for king size bed room when only had two Queen beds. Not really clean and looked like all the wall outlets were in sad array. Very dated and not worth the price!!!
Took my family on what we thought would be a memorable vacation. None the less we got that and lets say these memories were not what we expected. Walked in our room to an unpleasant moldy smell, dirty floor, roaches dead in every corner, shower curtain that wouldnt stay in place, dead roaches smashed on the wall, smoke detector in a drawer (great place in case a fire starts in the drawer), and half of our room without electricity. Spoke with manager who kept insisting it was clean and electricity worked. Had her show us that it worked only for her to say, Ill call my maintenance man, whom NEVER showed up. Asked for extra towels only to be told NO! Would not give us a refund when asked. I do not understand how this facility is still in business. She is very rude, has NO PEOPLE skills and this facility should be SHUT DOWN! I took several pictures hoping I could post but dont see a place to. I only gave them one star because I had mo other choice. They deserve NO STARS!
My son loved the pool. There were no couches like in the photos of the room I thought we rented. We could not get any clean towels or toilet paper because no one was at the service desk all Saturday. I even called a few times and left a message. The shower drain was broken. The barbecue pits were so dirty.
My experience was horrible. I went to check in two different times and both times I was told my rooms were not ready. Some one was smoking weed close to our room and I had my infant with me I was able to smell it inside my room even when the door was closed . My microwave was filthy and smelled gross. When it was time to check out the office was locked no one was there and when I called the office number to let them know I was outside a male answered rude as hell and hung up on me before I can say what I needed. I will never stay there again.
The room was big and at first glance we were happy. However: hair in the sinks and bathtub, dried blood from mosquitoes on the walls, under the toilet seat was sprinkled with urine and waste. Dead flies and dirt all over the window sills. The room was filthy. We were told they were under staffed and our second night was refunded - we refused to stay there another night. I am a former Rockport native and was hoping the under new management/ownership the hotel was improved. Same old dive and not a place a family should stay at.
Went down for one night, quick getaway to the beach. Our room was very nice two huge beds, central air, clean. Only complaint was that there was a weird smell in the bathroom. Staff were all very nice and made me and my family feel at home.
The door seemed to be kicked in at some point. The bed frames had metal sticking out at the bottom and it cut me on my legs. The room had not been properly cleaned and there was trash. The water pressure was extremely low both in the sinks, shower and toilet. I couldnt even shower because the shower head was so low it didnt even reach my mid chest. The floor felt dirty and grimy to walk on. It was just a very subpar room and it was not worth $120 for one weekend night.
This place is disgusting!! There was mold on the shower curtain. Lots of mold. The bathtub had hair everywhere. They have really old window units that dont keep the room cold. There are no curtains so you have light shinning in your room all night. The cleaning lady just barged in without knocking. The furniture was super old and peeling apart. The worker decided to clean the pool at midnight so he turned on floodlights that were shining super bright in the room. We will never stay there again!!! This place needs to be torn down and rebuilt!!
Stayed in room 1. AC would not blow like an AC should. Thankfully not a hot night. Female staff member did try best to fix problems. AC unit has mold on edges vent. Had bug walking around edge unit. TV hard to figure out with remote. Bed was hard. Not comfortable. Not worth the cost . Would of got refund and checked out but was too late and I was too tired to go look and drive for another room. Would of rated a 1 but staff help did try.
Im saying that the price of the room is excellent*. Having a scenic view of a beast beach was fabulous. The management treated us like family, was very helpful and funny too... The rooms were clean! No one is hawking you!! All the guest are getting along great, cooking, watching children and having birthday partys... I would recommend to any family looking for a place to have some family fun...!!!
Spent my birthday weeknd there, room was super cold clean room smelled very clean and ladies in front very nice. We will be back next year!
Room was pretty nice. Had a little mini kitchen with a stove, oven, and sink as well as the fridge. Comfortable bed. Shower takes a long time to get hot and you don’t have much control over AC. Kind of noisy outside. But other than that it worked. Reasonable pricing too!
We made a booking based on the photos seen in the advertisement, it was the best price, but we did not get the room as seen in the advertisement. The room we received was completely disappointing, I guess there are some remodeled because I could see it from the street when we arrived from dinner and the lights were on. The bathroom door did not close, hair on the floor, the shower is set for the size of a child, my husband practically could not bathe, I saw a small spider on one of the beds, the mattress made noises at the slightest movement and It is not comfortable, I do not recommend this place, especially if you are a family with young children.
Horrible!! Air did not work. Room dirty even thou They said it had just been cleaned. Toothpaste in kitchen sink. Dirty washcloths in shower. Roaches in floor. Toilet would flush. Management saud was going to give me a discount I have yet to get it. I will never stay there again.
It was a pleasure visiting a hotel with a local American person running the motel. she was very congenial. And gave us a wonderful room. asked for extra towels and it was not like we were asking her to go out of her way. she was on it right away. a great view out my window of the bay. huge refrigerator. It is a miracle of how nice this place was after hurricane Harvey went through the town a few years ago . almost forgot to mention. you can smell how recently the room was cleaned. so often in the past 15 months hotel room smell musty. not this one. Great job Rockport
The whole experience was trash!!!Checking in was crazy because the lady wasnt even there we had to call her to come get our keys, a 30 min wait.There was left over food under the beds there where food crumbles on the table. There where ants all around the sink. There was mold around the tub.the towels where all dingy some had dark stained. The TV remote didnt work, I went to the office to get another but once again it was locked and no one was there, I called and had to knock on another door in the motel to get a different remote.
I am normally someone who will see bad reviews and still give a place a chance. However, this hotel has seriously made me reconsider doing that in the future.The lady running the front office was absolutely sweet and professional. I can’t believe someone like her is working for a company like this. She deserves to work someplace so much better.Upon check-in, she tells me that someone stole our remote so that we have to manually turn on the TV and then use the Spectrum remote. Ok, not a big deal at all. Then she checks the computer and tells me she is unsure if our room is clean and that the cleaning lady is running very behind that day but that she can check us in still since it is check-in time. Ok, cool. She then asks that we not go into the room for another hour… A little problematic given that it is check-in time and my room should be ready but I don’t argue it because bad days happen. She calls the cleaning lady and a man answers. She speaks to him briefly and hangs up the phone telling me that the cleaning lady had asked for her boyfriend to assist with cleaning and that she regrets agreeing to it. This is also concerning because why are random people being given access to hotel rooms when they’re not even on payroll?I finished checking in and we are given our keys. The cleaning lady shows up to the office saying our room should be clean. Awesome. We walk up to the room and there is a window A/C unit hanging halfway off the window. The door looks as if it had been kicked in at some point. My husband and I go to open the door and have to try 3-4 times to get it open. We get inside and the room is absolutely atrocious. The furniture all matched what was shown in the pictures online, but not the condition of it or the room itself. There is no comforter, only a flat sheet. There were 2 very yellow pillows. There was no towels provided anywhere in the room. The floor was absolutely filthy and the bathroom floor was stained beyond belief. There were badly patched holes and dents all over the dirty and stained wall. Every piece of furniture looked as if it had been pulled out of a junkyard and placed in the room with no cleaning at all. The A/C was halfway working and it felt as if it was 85 degrees in the room.The room also had a cigarette smell, which was surprising until we walked outside and watched as the cleaning lady walked out of the room next door with a lit cigarette in her hand.The parking situation is equally as awful as the quality of the rooms here. You may end up stuck in a parking spot because of the lack of space that is provided or you are worried that someone else is going to accidentally hit your vehicle trying to get out of their parking space.We ended up leaving and staying in another hotel where we weren’t worried about our health and the safety of our vehicle. A complaint to DSHS may be needed for the MANY possible health code violations at this hotel.
Was in Rockport for 4 days Was a little skeptical about the oyo but it was just my speed decided to stay another 5days room was very clean a/c was great had a kitchenette king room small fridge and a decent freezer and a full size oven and stove staff was very friendly and helpful .bathroom needs a little updating but didnt go there to hang In the bathroom I would certainly go back
I hate to be so negative but this place is a dump.The owner definitely did not put much money into this place when he bought it from the previous owners. The house keeper was helpful.Our door lock was messed up and the cable was really bad.(had weak or no signal the whole time) There is loose trash on the property that doesnt seems to have been there for a while. This place could use a good cleaning up someone to keep the property free of trash. Disappointed.
I came over to the motel to visit a friend I haven’t seen in a while brought my service dog with me which is a Great Dane. while I was waiting for my friend to get back. the lady that works in the office came down to tell me that I couldn’t have my Service dog here. I informed her I was just visiting, then she proceeded to say well she isn’t allowed in the room. I said OK no problem well then she wanted to say if she uses the restroom I have to pick it up. The employees here seem very rude I do not recommend staying here the rooms look ran down some rooms have window units some don’t. they have a picnic table over in the back, thats all broken. so do yourself a favor and find you a different spot!
OYO stands for On-Your-Own, well they truly mean it. I booked a reservation directly on the hotel website (DGZY4878) on March 3 for a stay on 3/12. On March 11, I responded to their confirmation text that I would be there. Well I arrive at about 6pm on 3/12. The desk staff advised me the were over-booked and had no room for me. They kept looking at their computer hoping I would just walk away or the screen would magically produce a room. Staff was not very helpful, apologetic or really even courteous. The property looked run down and the location is right next to Sonic. The reality is we dodged a bullet by being turned away. Dont bother with this place. Your are better off On-Your-Own.Try the The Inn at Fulton Harbor... just a bit more money and well worth it.
My sister and I stayed here this week during a spontaneous beach trip, we found a great deal online and were pleasantly surprised at how cozy the room was for such a cheap price! The bed was comfy, the room was clean, the pool was cute and the TV and AC both worked! What more could a girl need? It was so conveniently located to everything we wanted to do in the area that we decided to stay another night! When we arrived late from the beach the next night after again booking online, the super sweet guy in the front office told us there had been a mix up with the booking and he was so sorry but the room travelocity promised was unavailable. He did however have an upgraded room he gave us for the same price! And guess what? It was ADORABLE, totally remodeled , super spacious and squeaky clean and freshly painted with a full sized fridge and stove/oven and kitchen area. I even read online that they allow dogs too for a small additional fee! We loved the Sea View and its very helpful, friendly staff and will definitely be back very soon! Best motel for the money wed ever stayed in, hands down.
I would have given it a 5 star but the pool was just a bit dirty but understandable due to very busy weekend. I wasnt sure about it at first but the room was very clean and i love the fact that there were 3 full sized bed in the same room and still room to move around. Loved our stay thank you so much!
I checked in on Monday, July 5th and only booked 2 nights but that was when the heavy rain & flooding happened. I ended up staying until the 9th, Friday night because I couldnt get out due to the flooded roads. Was finally able to leave that Saturday morning.This motel has the kindest manager and proprty staff. She allowed me to stay and didnt raise the price either.. I originally booked through Hotels.com. Its an older property, but it had a clean room w/ cable, mini fridge and microwave, nice hot water for showers, great AC and the power never went out although it stormed 3 of my 5 days there. Perfect location right across the street from RP beach.Id be happy to stay there again because I cant express how kind and friendly everyone was there.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Not worth the price. No housekeeping during our 4 day stay. Pool was closed. No one at the front desk. The number was posted on the door but she either wouldnt answer or just wouldnt show up. Toilet would wobble when used. Mold in the bathroom. Sink looked like it was going to fall off the wall. Water leaking from our ceiling fan for three days of our stay and staff did not seem concerned. Stoves are dirty and not fully operable. Some burners dont work and knobs are missing. The beds are hard. The pics online are not at all what these rooms look like. We rented a total of up to 5 rooms during our family mini vacation for mothers day weekend and our stay was not at all very relaxing. We visit Rockport a couple of times throughout the year and would always stay here. Its sad to see how much this place has gone down. Years ago the prices were cheap and we received excellent service and now we paid over 100.00 a room to receive no service. We will no longer be staying here.
Staff was amazing!!! They made you feel like part of the family. Our room was awesome!!! So spacious that there is no way you will run over anybody you share the room with. Great location. This is definitely going to be my home away from home when I come down on vacation.
I would NEVER EVER stay at this place again. Saturday January 15 was my hearing impaired son’s 16 birthday I had made reservation here and check in was at 3p we got to place at 340p and room STILL wasn’t ready on top of that got double charged the manger was getting ready to end her shift so when we get to room we had NO cable service and the TV would NOT switch to HDMI options, the walls had holes, the water faucet in kitchenette made terrible noise when you turned it on, the beds mattresses were VERY uncomfortable (HARD as a rock) I HURT My back on it and there were ROLLIE POLLIES underneath the bed we didn’t stay night there after all I was so DISGUSTED and MAD I had called the following day to report the situation and wanted a FULL refund but they refuse to do so stating that they reached out to management and she indicated to them that DIDN’T complain that’s a LIE!! I’ll take my service where I know they will take care of their customers
I booked a stay on 8/7/22 to occur on 9/10/22. I paid for it at time of booking. On 9/9/22 at 7:30 pm I was notified my booking was canceled due to unforseen emergency. I called the hotel and was told hopefully, you get a refund but I dont know when. When I called back with spouses number to book same accommodation, I was offered original booking but at a higher price.
Room was dusty, the AC vent filter was so dirty, needs a new filter, walls around the sink and kitchenette had food or some kind of particles on the wall, had to ask for toilet paper and towels on the first day. First time being there but will not be returning. Plus had to give a deposit, I didnt see that on the website. I will be getting my deposit back though..one and done for me.
Absolutely the worst hotel in the Coastal Bend. Dont stay here unless you want your reservation canceled by the owner of the hotel with out them telling you and its because she just wanted to charge a higher prices to someone else. This hotel has terrible customer service, bugs everywhere, old furniture, paint coming off the walls, plumbing issues, mold in the ac and corners of ceiling, stray dogs and cats everywhere. I stay in hotels over 50 nights a year and have never experienced such a uncomfortable unpleasant upsetting experience in my whole life.
It was a great stay cant complain staff is really nice and even through I booked the wrong room n amount of beds they were cool with me buying an air mattress for my kids can sleep comfortably ❤️ also was great for fishing just crossed the road at night and bam cought all kinds of fish lots of flounders as well.
This is ridiculous! We paid 109$ for a room for four people so you would think the people who worked here would be nice and would be will to help out but nope they aren’t. We asked for a few more towels and they told us we had to go buy our own and it’s just like what? Why bring our own if they’re supposed to provide it .... and on top of this in the bathroom there’s a hole in the wall where it looks like a rat chewed through ... and our tv remote didn’t work at all new batteries everything just didn’t work... oh well last time I’ll stay here.
1/2 of November & 1/2 of December of 2015 when my Wife & I were awaiting to close on a new house that We had purchased We stayed at the Sea View Motel in Rockport, TX. Our room was small but comfortable. The WiFi wasnt the best that We had ever seen but other than the WiFi our stay was nice & quiet.It appears that We are again going to be staying at the Sea View Motel three weeks of October & a week or so in November of 2020. We have sold our house & have been searching for a new one in a very busy housing market. We have already reserved a much larger & nicer room. I can say that We are repeat guest of the Sea View Motel in Rockport, Texas.
Our stay was oh Kay, at least had a good time. The rooms did not look like these fabulous pictures and the pool was not clear blue like the picture shown. Although, the staff was friendly but, don’t let these pictures fool you they are deceiving. But, like they say, “you get what you pay for”. Our door seemed as if it were kicked in and did not completely close.
The office manager Melinda was very professional. I gave her a call and she helped me book a room over the phone. When I arrived I was in my room within a few minutes. The rooms were clean and everything I needed was brought to me very fast. I recommend Oyo for anybody coming to visit Rockport.
I wasnt sure what the OYO stood for. When I checked in, I asked the desk clerk and she didnt have a clue either. After seeing my room and other bad experiences at this property, I now know that OYO is an acronym for RUN!!! The room was a disaster with cracks in wall. Bugs everywhere, Broken window pane, room door looked like it had been kicked in and repaired multiple times, and just overall in bad shape. Supposed to be free WI-FI. Only in lobby of hotel is it available. front desk supposed to open at 8:00am. Lucky if anyone showed up by 10:00am. The ceiling fan/light fixture started smoking and front desk TOLD ME to find a guy name Dale. Found Dale and he said probably bad bulb and he had no bulbs. I said BUT THE FIXTURE WAS SMOKING. Dale wasnt worried, so why should I be. And the worst part is I kept getting messages on my phone offering the room rate at even a lower price than what I paid and front desk was like; you booked it. And, when I checked in at 3:00pm, as that is what the wed site said was check in, I was told that the check in time was 4:00PM and even though I had paid with credit card, I STILL OWED 20 CENTS!!This hotel has got to be the worst property I have ever stayed in. The only person who was responsible, nice and helpful was the lady who cleaned the rooms and gave linens. Do your self a favor and remember the name OYO.....RRRUUUNNN!!!
This place was the worst we have ever had. it had roaches in the room and rats in the laundry room. the attendant that was doing the laundry was very rude. there was 4 of us staying in a room and he would only give us 2 towels. in the past we have always stayed here... for many years. But who ever runs this place now. Is the worst! NEVER AGAIN!!
They are trying but it is NOT ready. We stayed one night and could not wait to get out. Toilet was scary as it hadcaulk on one side about 2 inches thick and none on the other side. Like riding a rollercoaster. One towel for 2 people and exposed pipe with a lot of dirt. No place to hang clothes and you did not want to walk barefoot. Coffee machine but no coffee, said they were out. The ac did work and staff was friendly. I woukd not recommend staying there yet, maybe when they complete renovations.
The bathroom is very small and the potty was in a small space and it would leak water from the bottom of the commode as you sat on it. Also was some bad people staying there that walked around the parking lot all night and was pretty loud. I wouldnt stay there again . If you want a nice hotel go to Pelican Bay Resort. Dont stop here.
The lady in charge was the best, friendly, accommodating, helpful,and the very best motel manager l have ever met. I stay at two to three motel a month with my work and this motel might be old but clean and the manager was wonderful, best experience ever.
Not looking for fancy, but clean, comfortable bed, good a/c and water view. Would stay there again. Impressed with very hard working housekeeper supervisor. Sweet girl who checked us in. Did not disappoint!
My stay was horrible.. The rooms were filthy and really really dirty.. The furniture in the rooms were broken and filthy.. Walls were dirty and seemed like not been clean in a long time.. shower head was broken on the side and when I went to take a shower the shower head flew off with all the water pressure and hit me on the side of my head.. sent a text message to clerk and no response. We had to drive home that night didn’t even stay.. Was just a waste of money wasn’t even with the price we paid.
This place is old, not very clean, the floors were filthy, my bare feet were black. The pool is very small. The door to the room didnt lock well, look like it had been kicked in at least once.
The room was ugly the bathroom was dirty bath tub was dirty I had to go buy a mat and rubber shoes to take a shower. It was the 4 th July celebration and the hotel were booked. So we had to stay there 600.00 from the 3 rd to the 7 th but never again they should NOT !! be renting these rooms I have to put visk on my feet cause they look ugly dry crack just to moisturize my feet...DO NOT STAY AT SEA VIEW MOTEL....youll regret it...yes microwave was dirty with smashed roaches on the door the refrigerator I had to clean it so I could put my food in it.. NO ! NO !! Not good at all Im surprised they havent closed it up...
Oyo was good to us, rooms were clean and cold bed was comfortable, and clean, the customer service was great can wait to go back not to mention very peaceful at night with water view 😇
What stay!!!!!???? 3 times our reservations were canceled by the hotel. They canceled & took our payment. No place to stay our vacations were ruined!!! Melinda at the front desk uses the excuse that Expedia or hotels.com cancel. Do NOT count on a reservation at this place they will cancel & keep your money!
It was kinda dirty we were getting bit by Im guessing fleas. towels were not very clean one of our rooms smelled bad the other room was cold didnt have remote to adjust the temp but the people in the front were very nice
The location is very convenient, the way the room was set up was very good. My low rating is due to the condition of the room. The paint was peeling, the floors and countertops were not clean.
The place and manager were wonderful. People staying here strange. One guy called my friend a crack hoe whom she had never met. Called the police and said that she was selling methamphetamine to a pregnant woman who gave birth to a .5 pound baby. Skytso😨 but besides his act it has been a good spot. I highly recommend it. Rooms are cheap and comfortable. Clean pool. Right on the water.
We actually stayed here for a few months during a transition period, not only was the room clean and well kept, the staff was very accommodating to our family. You can tell that they work extremely hard to provide comfort to their guests and if we ever need a place to stay again it would be our first call.
Worst place I’ve stay while using OYO. Health wise this room should not be used. Rented as a kitchenette but the stove did not work. No smoke alarm. Window locks did not work on one window. Floor dirty. Bugs.
Stayed there for 33 days while working in Rockport. While the first half of my stay was trash. It was made all good once Melinda got there. Way to go Mr P! She made sure I had everything I needed. Got a good one there, keep her around. Looking forward to my next Rockport job.

I booked a week ahead. Then called the hotel to confirm the morning of check in date. They told me everything was confirmed. We were driving 4 hours from Rockport. Then 1 hour before check in time they emailed me that they cancelled my reservation bc they overbooked. They had already ran my credit card so they had to do a refund. But that takes days to be back in my account. Meanwhile I have to find another hotel room last minute on limited funds. Dont risk booking here.
Location really good but her service not good we have a reservation since last week and she give us really bad attitude a she told us your not staying here .and yeah they charge the 2 nights and were not staying because she said so oh and I guess shes the owner because I call and nobody do nothing no money back no room and yes they charge for 2 nights .Leave my property she said.
The manager was rude, the rooms weren’t ready and done sloppily. There roaches on the bed. It was absolutely disappointing and even the corporate offices were not helpful. The manager kept trying run my card over and over, up to 10 times.. I will stay there or encourage anyone to stay at Oyo.
Rooms and clean. We were looking for value. Rented 3 rooms for 1 night each. Our work team was very happy. Food is close, just about anything you need is in walking distance. Lady at the front was very welcoming. highly recommend
Since the new ownership and full renovation, this place is fantastic. Great staff, service and the price was worth the stay. My family got the Rockport Beach facing room. Perfect for anyone who is traveling on a budget. If you are looking for a laidback casual, clean place to stay while on your fishing getaway, this is the place to be. They also offer boat parking which was a plus!
Well it was a place to rest our heads for a night. Definitely a place to bring the sancha (mistress) not your wife lol. Not that I did. Im single, but you get it.
Do not reserve this hotel this place is trash I reserved a room back in March payed it back then I came here yesterday may 28 once I got here they told me I didn’t had a reservation at all but I had the receipt confirmation and everything but they said they couldn’t give me a room because it was fully booked and my info wasn’t in the system they just steal your money ! They said they couldn’t give a refund because I was not in the system While I was there .. there was another lady there complaining about them that she made reservation for 3 nights and got charge for them back in April and came out they only reserved her for only 2 night but they couldn’t give her , her money back because it was not in the system… horrible hotel if you want them to steal your money go ahead plus the people there said the rooms where trash
The lady in charge named Jenny is a person who does not care about delivering clean rooms, the room she assigned me, the bathroom was dirty, she sent a man to clean the floor and the bathroom tub with wipes, apart from not caring, he did not want to return me my money and I call the police do not go to this dirty place and even less with people who do not even care to keep clean😏😏😏😏
Room was very adequate! Hot water could have been hotter! Office could be better staffed had to call to get checked in and return to receive refund of deposit!
Me and my husband has been staying here since August 2016 and its been pretty nice. The only thing we HATE is the cheap owners. When something is broke and needs to be fixed or replaced, they try every way to get around having to fix it cause its gonna cost them money. They have made ALOT of money off me and my husband, let alone all the other people that stays here. Its now February 2017 and its the 2nd time we been in a room that the air just stops working (for no reason). First time we stayed without air 2 weeks. And now its been over 3 days and the owner dont wanna pay a licensed air conditioner man to come fix it.. And let me add its very hot outside to. We are beyond ready to leave this place!
By far the most disgusting place I’ve ever rented! Room was dirty, mold everywhere, blood on comforter, dirt coming from wall in the bathroom and towels were stained! My family was terrified to stay there! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody. I wouldn’t give this place one star but I had too just to post my review. 😑😑
Probably would not stay at this location. We booked our room on a Thursday and that Saturday drove 8+ hours just to get there and over hear them talking about rooms with no hot water and some rooms with messed up doorknobs and on top of that also said that our room we booked got cancelled and they had no room for us after being 8 hours away from home
Its an older motel on the water with a pool its clean and has kitchenettes and bug free ! Its usually pretty quiet and easy going the manager is an awesome lady! She makes you feel welcome and at home !
The people who own the hotel was kind and great but the people we booked thru was trash! Ordered a 2bed and only recieved a one when it was for 4 people! Agent didnt even try to help and wanted me to spend more money!! Never again Ill go straight to the source nomore 3rd party!!!
Cheap enough, needs better cleaning, closet had no rod to hang clothes, bathroom needs alot of work. Bathroom sink wouldnt drain. Old icebox was filthy.

The room wasnt ready the room smelled terrible the tv didnt work they moved us to another room and it was hot we didnt even stay and wont stay there again people walking by our car as soon as we got there asking if we were staying there very un safe feeling
It was good i had trouble opening the door to the room, but otherwise good , enjoyed the swimimg pool . the owners where very fri9endly and the cleaning staff was wonderful.

The place is worn out with flies and critters present. We also found dead bugs on our beds. I suppose thats what we get for going economical... even though it was about $140 a night...
We wanted to stay in Rockport and somewhere decent and cheap. Well we found it and never again we will stay at Sea View motel. Didnt have hot water the whole time until the last day they fixed it. They need to clean up their act and be more professional about it. Also I went to the guy and told him about the water and he said they fixed. Yeah the last day. Freakin idiots. No clue what they are doing.
The young lady at the front office was so nice and sweet. She took care of me from start to finish and wore a smile the entire time. She was great!

The room was dirty the wall plugs had no covers and there was one right on the wall over the bed and they did not change the sheets and after the second day I just left it was gross cause the air conditioner had so much dust in it and I will not be going back
Had a very nice stay in Oyo sea view the young girl at the front desk was so sweet and so was the matence man very nice 🙂 I liked that you didnt have to use elevators and go threw the hotel to get out when needed to go somewhere just open your door and theres your car I think its safer that way rooms were clean housekeeper with long dark brown hair vary nice 🙂 enjoyed our stay

This hotel was horrible. There were holes in the drywall. No maintenance seemed to be performed here. Everything was dated. It was not very clean either.
So I rented a room there through a internet website for a room king bed etc I get to my room and the room is ok but the TV doesn’t work in room #10 so the house keeping lady says she’ll talk to Dominique the manager who I spoke to to get the room and moves me to #26 I left my room for I’d say 20-30 minutes and I returned and couldn’t find my wallet I spoke to Dominique and she said she didn’t know if housekeeping went inside my room don’t stay here I traveled from El Paso Tx to see my daughter there in Rockport Tx the worse experience ever I had my wallet taken from my very room with my drivers license and social security and all my cards and $400-$500 cash im stuck in Corpus Christi Tx trying to figure out how im getting back home
Only stayed one night... Room was clean... Bed was comfortable. Night clerk called at 5 to see when we would arrive. Very friendly staff.
Good price, only 2 towels for a room with 2 king size beds. Wifi does not work. But all in all not bad for price and location.
Do not stay here!!! This place is a joke!!!! Drove 5 hours to be charged for a room that I couldn’t stay in cause no one answered the phone when they said someone would be here to give me key. DONT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!!!
Inexpensive compared to others and centrally located within walking distance to most everything. Not at Luxury hotel but you get what you pay for and have more to actually spend on surrounding memories in area.
Room was dirty found a roach and boken pieces of a glass bolo. I found bed bugs i hope they dont follow me home! Thankfully I got my refund the gurl at the front counter is awsome and has great customer service. But the owners themselves need to spend money and put love in tothe business to avoid loosing business in the future. Never coming back
I love this place. We were there last 4th of July weekend and had a blast. The location is perfect and we view of the fireworks was awesome....SO ready to do it all over again in 2015 ....cant wait its only a month away
The rooms were over priced, especially considering the fact that the plumbing didnt work. Over the course of 2 days my room flooded several times and the skills of the maintenance people were non-existent.
Definitely not how it seems with the pictures taken and used.
Very friendly people! rooms are very clean, a little old, but very clean and comfy 😊 Already planned our next trip to stay here again in a few weeks.

54 per night was great but a surprise security deposit wasnt good hot water took 10 to 15 mins to warm up roaches were around all in all my girlfriend and I wont go back ill spend more money at a better place
The lightbulb went out the Het doesn’t some of the outlets don’t work would not recommend staying hereThey said they just cleaned it but there’s coffee already in the coffee pot

Worst place I have ever stayed in my life... we pulled the bed off the wall cause I was coughing so much and seen nothing but mold I had to go to the doctor and get meds... this is seriously the worst place to stay the time i stayed here she was counting down our days rude wouldnt give us a key to unlock the doors never cleaned our room the towels were disgusting with blood and brown stains on them the shower had mold the plugs dont work they have extension cords running everything I seriously dont think this place should be renting out rooms...
Bugs in bathroom. Counter was barely up. Took 20 minutes for hot water. No staff from 5pm to 10 am. No one answers phone.
The employees were great awesome view of the bay the price was perfect thank you Melinda for your excellent customer service that alone will have my business next time Im in Rockport Texas I recommend this to anyone
Disgusting dead roaches on the floor stove was horrible kitchen counter coming away from the wall wake up the next morning roaches crawling all over the floor. Never going back.

I drove all the way from San Antonio Texas and when I arrive the lady was rude told me she only had 1 room when I booked 2 and when I tried to show her my confirmations she said it doesnt matter if you have confirmations this is what I have glad I didnt pay in advance didnt end up staying there after that outside looks run down
Manager on duty was wonderful. Room was dirty, sheets were dirty, no phone in room, bed was comfy and nose was minimal

This motel suxs. They change the price from one day to the next. Rooms are drity. And trying to talk with the front desk was impossible. Pool was like a swamp.
Not impressed at all for the money i paid i got a broken lamp, the showers drain cover was missing, the beds head board was just laying against the wall (not even by the bed) and when I went to turn on the light the light doesnt work.....and these are suppose to be newly remodeled, I did get a small discount thats the only reason why im giving 3 stars
Jad missed my Sea View from hurricane Harvey! Its back up and running again. Yhey had just remodeled all the rooms I gues b4 the hurricane came.
Would have been nice if I knew ahead of time that the kitchen didnt have any utensils, dishes or pots and pans.
No place to hang clothes, no shelfs or countertop in the bathroom to put stuff on. Just kind of a dump.
Room was awesome. Clean, tile floors, very large room. Well be stayin here again.

Place is a joke..I go to Rockport a lot, never here again..nasty, shady people all around..asshats charged me $50 because I cut myself shaving, and got blood on the towel..absolutely avoid these weirdos..something is up there..

This hotel canceled the booking 2 days before my stay. Do not book with them because they may not actually have the room.
Everything was pretty good, the only negative thing is that the room we got had a wierd smell.
Older place but really nice. Got an ocean view and they were really nice. Would stay again.

There are no phones in the rooms, and to rent a room you have to call a number and wait for the manager to show up to the property.
What I expect for the price, not fancy and can use some repairs but would use again.
This place is on the bottom rung of the ladder. Too expensive for what they were. Flies in the room and holes in the wall from being wet.
Mold in bathroom, pool green and nasty, full of seagulls. Room and beds smelled dusty.
