The Buff

My family loves the buff. The food is outstanding and the service is great as well. They have a nice comfortable seating area inside with lots of TVs and games and fun things to do outside.The volleyball courts and horseshoe area is pretty cool to hang out during the summer.The walleye cakes are the best appetizer Ive tried and they have good protein bowls as well as burgers, Pizza, etc.One of my favorite places in the area to eat!

After loving the Buff and then avoiding it due to horrible service, we have it another go to have dinner and watch a friends band on a Saturday night.We were pleasantly surprised to find that things are back to the way they were!The food is awesome - the Whiskey Burger is my favorite - their drinks are great, the service was great and it was back to a fun atmosphere!

This is another gem I found by accident. My wife & I have only been here twice, & each visit was really really outstanding! We both pegged this our new favorite restaurant. There arent a whole lot of great restaurants where we live now, so finding this place was, & is a real treat! Theres so many delicious dishes here to choose from, but ya definitely gotta try the Pub Chips! So yummy! There are so many other dishes to choose from. Good luck deciding on what to get! Some awesome chocolate cake & carrot cake as well.

This is a hidden gem. My very picky daughter was dragging her feet, wanting to go to one of her regular spots. By the end of the meal, she was already laying the seeds to come back. I recommend highly!

Very cool venue space. I have worked here once and everyone was chill and they had delicious food and a fun atmosphere. It is def a solid spot for a nice wedding reception!The restaurant is good. Lots of tables and selections. We have eaten here a couple times and will continue to return. Seems like they always have activities going on here too bingo and such...

Great menu selection. Food was great, service was awesome and its just a great environment to eat, visit and relax.

Went with friends for dinner. Had a burger with onion strings, buffalo sauce and blue cheese crumbles. It was fantastic the bun was so good. Best burger Ive had in a long time.

I attended an event in their event room, it was a great place for smaller gatherings. They have a private patio and a gathering area and a dining area.

Food was great, cant decide what to order. Bring friends and family with us. service is super. Friendly staff and owners. Always are given gift cards to the Buff as everyone knows we like it so much!!!

Nice bar and restaurant. We attended a birthday party in the upper level which was nice and you can walk out to a large rooftop patio area. Service was great and appetizers were tasty.

Good place to go for a casual environment. Food is pretty good, some of the food is crazy yummy and some is fine. They have bands some Saturday nights which can be entertaining. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. Not sure why they changed the name though. Sounds like a strip club.

Recommended!!!Was busier than I really care for, however, it is a sports bar. I knew what I was walking into for the most part, just bigger scale than Im use to.For as packed as it was, it didnt feel crowded or stuffy nor did all the conversation going on drown out any I was having with those near me. Atmosphere was bustly, chattery, slightly loud yet still open, inviting and comfortable. Maybe even a lil cozy. Bartenders were tentative and friendly and the Honey Sriracha Shrimp Tacos were freekin delicious! Served within a reasonably quick time considering how busy they were. They have a wonderful menu I cannot wait to try more of! Also, it is all one level with a good floor plan making it handicap/wheelchair friendly for the dance floor, tables and reception venue/dining hall.Enjoy! 😊

Absolutely one of the best restaurant/bars Ive ever been to. Incredible food and the staff is curious, kind, and attentive. Along with being extremely friendly! 5 stars is an understatement to an establishment like this.

We always enjoy the Buff. Quesadilla was excellent, server was friendly, manager brought the toddler meal quickly to keep him at bay! Thanks for that, I recommend!

Did the build your own Mac N Cheese. The best I have ever had. Place was crazy busy, we ordered at the bar. Wait time was reasonable, given the crowd. Atmosphere was typical bar and grill.Only concern was the next day, there was a double charge on my card, which was resolved, but took a few calls to get it done, so watch that.

Some of the customers were a little loud it was hard to hear the bar bingo lady

Food in banquet hall was really 8 out of 10. Really better than any I have had in years. Thinking about cost and quality it is a great place to have an event. My applause for meeting the bar few banquets meet.

I was there on Sunday (5-19-19) and had a really good experience. I’d heard others say the food is mediocre at best and I have to disagree. The cheese curd burger was amazing and filling. Waffle fries were really good too. Good service, and the beer was cold too. Thanks for giving me a good meal my first time there. Will be coming back and recommending to other people.

So so. One time was enough. Kinda glad to be back in Texas. Food up in Minnesota is very bland.

This is a hidden gem for dining. Everything on the menu is delicious and reasonably priced. The pot roast is world class.Also a great stop in the evenings on weekends for the best in local live music. Menace is a MUST SEE at this venue! Always a party!!!

Just lunch with friends, everyones orders looked great, my Reuben was fantastic, tasty fries. Outdoor patio is open so enjoy it while you can! Only so many weeks we can actually enjoy outdoor dining outside before its winter once again.

The buff is a awesome place with a great atmosphere. Theres tons of space for dining or grabbing drinks. The service and food at the buff is phenomenal. T.J and Renee do a wonderful job making sure the customers are happy and they are so much fun to be around. The menu is loaded with options and the portions are great and fairly priced. I would highly recommend dining there.There are pool tables and dartboard and a stage for live music.The Sunday breakfast is fantastic.

Ate here for the first time yesterday. Fun atmosphere. The burgers were great. The waffle fries were really good. The French fries were terrible. Would I eat here again? Yes but not getting the French fries.

The food was awesome. We had the buffalo balls sundae. It is not the typical fried ice cream but oh so good. The main dish was Spinach chicken and feta skillet was amazing.

Great place. Great food except the steak. Tried two different steaks on different occasions. Very fatty. Could barely cut through the fat with my steak knife, let alone chew it. ... my family that got salmon and loved it although.

Server was friendly. Food was decent (they actually had gluten-free options! I was impressed) but the atmosphere was very, very noisy. It was hard to have a conversation or find a table. It may be better to eat there during the week instead.Not sure if Id return, but it was worth a shot. :)

This was our first time at the friendly buffalo. The food and service was excellent. We ordered the best nachos Ive ever had for app. Followed by the taco salad and buffalo balls for dessert. Would definitely go back. They also were doing a meat raffle while we we visitedWe once again visited what’s now called “the buff” and they never disappoint. The buffalo dip is to die for and we got free shots since the Vikings scored ONE touchdown lol. Always worth going here.

Our family loves going here. The staff are always pleasant, the food is reliably tasty, and its got something to make everyone happy, even our picky eater.

Food and service was great. People are friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is traditional busy bar/pub but as an event center it offers areas to hold your function and enough privacy to manage young children. It is very wonderfully accessible for those with mobility issues. Parking is great too. Pricing was perfect and all the food and drinks were spot on. The handcut fries were a little greasy though - should have ordered the steak fries.

We love coming here for the Santa visit and ladies night out events. The private room is nicely set apart from the restaurant area so you can actually hear what’s happening and not compete with diners. The food is tasty and there is plenty of seating. Definitely a sports bar atmosphere, and of course our 4 year old loves the buffalo on the roof.

Easy in and Easy out on Hyw 10. Huge parking lot. Volleyball and outdoor seating a plus.Food is great! Place is always clean!We have eaten there last year approx 12 times and each meal was just as good as the last. Very good menu variety.Wings are great. Taco salad bowl is awesome!Yes you pay for drinks with $$ but a good value is what you get in return.Bingo weds is great and organized and a good time.Great people to meet there.Waitresses are young but very good servers and fast service as long as it is not jam packed. The girls remember you and take even faster care of you the next time you visit if you remember to tip them nicely for the great service they provide.No comment on music.

Great bar and great food!

First time stopping but definitely will be back. Ordered the Whiskey burger and was blown away! Burger was hot and juicy and definitely good sized. The whiskey added a nice sweetness to the burger and the black pepper balanced out that sweetness with the little kick it needed. Fries were hand-cut, seasoned & cooked perfectly. Save room for dessert, the Buffalo Ball Sundae is priced right and perfect for 2 people to share (you could probably even share it 3 ways!)

Great Fathers Day specials, and the best brisket Ive had outside of Texas.

What a great place for a wedding or gathering. Experienced the ballroom and the upstairs room and both were beautifully decorated. The staff are always pleasant when we visit and the cost is very reasonable for everything. Their Ham that was served at the wedding I recently attended was to die for. Very good!

Great food. Especially the cheesy hash browns. Polite staff, seemed a little understaffed when we were there though. Will definitely go back.

Run don’t read reviews . Can’t think of the last time I had this bad food.went there for Vikings packers game with a table of dishes for two hours .defiantly not a sports bar. Every tv on the same game really ?? People gamble / fantasy football . Most people know how to use tv remote .can’t see this making it after the new ownership .

A little spendy, but overall worth it. Drinks were not so good. Tasted watered down and my martini was served in a regular glass, not much choice for ordering different martinis.

Love coming to this place! I met my husband here when they had outside recess playing.. so many great memories!Great place to plan events as well!! Big group or small group, they seem to tend to what ever need you have with your party.I only wish outside recess played here more often!

A perfect venue for large groups. The wait staff did a great job keeping all of families in our group straight when we went here after a football tournament. Food was your standard bar fare. Good atmosphere, solid food, decent prices.

I was totally prepared to not like this place and leave without ordering. But the band was great and the other guests were having a great time. They were slammed. Once we got service, the drinks were good, food was great. Ill definitely return.

Ive been going here for 8 years or so. Pretty regularly for dinner. And this day my boyfriend brought me out. The bartender who has seen me plenty, as well as the owner, wouldnt let me get a drink. I get that I didnt bring my purse but seriously. It was rediculous. My food had tomatoes, which Im allergic to, after I asked for none. Since the new ownership this place has gone down fast. Get your stuff together.

They changed their taco salad. On line description was of the tortilla bowl, but actually now served in a bed of tortilla chips. I can do that at home, I went because I love the bowls and that is what I wanted. They charged extra for dressing to go with the salad. Overall, disappointing salad it was very dry, I could have made a better one at home for the fraction of the cost.

I ordered the chicken breast sandwich and it was so over cooked and dried up I couldnt eat it. The service was good. I didnt complain about the sandwich because I feel like it should be done right the first time. I probably wont go back this was my second experience at Friendly Buffalo and the food is sub par. The service is way better than the food!

This is not a five star restaurant. But they serve good food for the $$.This is a bar/restaurant and serves that level of food. The portions are usually generous. I am not a fan of their potato chips, and they could offer a substitute. The wait staff are pleasant and prompt.To the review below who complained about issues with his ID being scrutinized, you do not understand the issues behind the scenes in MN. The sanctions here for serving a minor include the business losing their liquor license, so yes, when looking at IDs from other states, theyre going to do a triple take. That is any restaurant in MN. Also, check into the drivers license requirements for MN residents, as you may be violating them if you are a MN resident.

We are big fans of The Buff. Great Minnesota setting and food. Relaxed dining, bingo, live music, outdoor games. Just a fantastic setup.

Had the whiskey burger. It was delicious! I would definitely recommend this place for burgers, they even have a veggie burger if your into that. if your not into burgers the menu has a good variety. I will definitely be back to try other menu items.

A fav spot of mine to get a drink! Bar tenders are very friendly and will gladly have a chat with you and always have a great suggestion on what to try as far as drinks and food! There menu is huge and everything Ive had taste great. the kitchen staff is fast to get orders out. and theres always something fun going on like sports or card games and meat raffles. Often theres live music. The regular crowd is great they have great stories and are inviting which is always nice. Stop here next time your passing thru you wont be disappointed!

All around great experiance! The waitstaff is amazing very fun and friendly! The food is absolutely delicious. Great bands and different entertainment always going on. Definitely the #1 spot to be around the area.

Great Service, gross food. Ordered steak bowl and steak tasted like it was heated back up in the microwave. Also ordered burger which was Super salty. All though we had wonderful service we will not be back.

Love this place. Very good food for a bar. Their menu is extensive and everything Ive had is delicious. I personally recommend the Buff Pasta, Clubhouse Sandwich, and the Sweet Chili Wings.

Everything we have tried has been very tasty. We love watching hockey while we eat. Servers all are friendly. Wish they had more Happy Hour specials.

The layout of The Friendly Buffalo is great for dancing while listening to a local band play. The appetizers were also excellent, and our server was fast, efficient, and kept our drinks filled all night! Definitely going back!

Every menu item we have tried has been great. The service also is good. They have a lot of different things going on, such as Bingo, meat raffle, Texas Holden, large screen tv, and outdoor activities (volleyball and horseshoes).

We had our food for our wedding catered through The Friendly Buffalo. Tj did An awesome job meeting our needs. The food was delicious. Our wedding was a hour away and they catered the food and alcohol to us. We also worked with Dave for our other services for the wedding. He did such an amazing job. Was always there when we had a question. Was very helpful and made me stress free with the planning. Communication is a key factor with planning a wedding and these two guys did such a good job. And we appreciate it all so much. Would definitely recommend working with Tj and Dave with wedding planning.

Easy access with ample parking. Menu has wide variety of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, and dinners. Multiple screens with many different games to pick from. Food is served quickly and is always tasty!

We stopped here to get out and have a few drinks and were very dissapointed. They charged me $6 for a small Redbull with a tiny bit of vodka in it. They also had a horrible live band which sung some songs and switched songs without even changing beats. The rude bartender and garbage music had us leaving after one drink. I would never suggest this place.

The food here is great if you like traditional American dishes. Family friendly with music, pool tables, BINGO and frequent raffles for various things as well as outdoor activities. An awesome place for medium to large groups.

Rented the upstairs for a small work party of about 20. Food was fabulous (pasta bar) and the bar tender (Carley(sp?)) was amazing. Will definitely take our business back again in the future!

Five stars to our waitress!! It was her third day and she was absolutely Amazing!! We came in with our football team and we had the best service ever!!

Food was so-so. Overly crowded with a seat yourself setting so we spent 10 minutes just trying to find a seat. Live music. If you go after dinner hout for drinks maybe but i wouldnt go again if I have to spend that long looking for a seat. Place needs to be a little more formal for seating.

About five years ago the whole bar was playing bingo without a microphone or any other kind of audio amplification. My entire beer league softball team shows up after a game and is about as loud as youd expect a post-game celebration at a bar to be. Everyone kept dogging us for being so loud, and were just like what kind of bar runs bingo with no microphone?Luckily, this place is nothing like that anymore. Theyve expanded and got all kinds of great stuff to do. I dont know if they still do bingo, but they now have the resources to overcome the loudest softball team. They still lose one star because of that incident from five years ago. Let that be a lesson to them. People remember everything

Was at the Friendly Buffalo last night for dinner and watch the Twins game !!Had the Sunfish and hand cut fries and everything was awesome and cooked to perfection!! Sunfish were delicious.All was great except the Twins!!! Lol !!!

Attended a special event in the upper event room. Great service from the bar...really good food and a relaxed fun atmosphere.

Typical buffet food, salty and simple...Think nursing home. At least thats what we experienced in the banquet hall, and for $25.00 a plate nowhere near the value. Bar staff and atmosphere was great.

My 3 kids and I ate there on a Saturday afternoon. The waitress checked on us just before the end of the meal and asked if we need anything, and we said no. My son was the last to be done, which was about 5 minutes later. 5 minutes after that I told my kids to put their jackets on so we looked ready to go, still not having seen out 2aitress out and about. Fast forward to 20 minutes since the last check up, a waitress comes and says she forgot we were transferred to her. In her defense, some new age couple had come with their children that ran all over the place, almost making waitresses spill food, so she may have been distracted by the free range family. Im just not eating there again.

Went for a late lunch early dinner, had the chipotle blue burger and the fries. Spot on cooking and taste. Nice venue this time of day but will want to get a better feel for the place by going at a busier time.

Stopped in for some Saturday bingo and lunch. Server was good and the food was also very good. We didn’t get a bingo.

The crew at the Friendly Buffalo has had our Friends of the NRA banquet for several years... We keep coming back to the friendly staff, accommodations to all our needs, great service and food. A special shout out to TJ.... Thank you for the chicken.......the meal was 👍👍😀

We have done takeout twice now. It has been great both times. Both orders were waiting for me when I got there. Excellent customer service. The fact that I can order online is a huge plus.

Always a pleasure to eat, die, drink, and dance at The Friendly Buffalo. Their service is friendly and prompt. The bartenders at any given tume, are never too busy to make sure the Belly Up to the bar customers are takin care of quickly, and with a smile every time. As for the waitresses and waiters, these gals and guys are always on their toes making sure their customers get what they want, and in a timely manner. So, this ends with me talking about the Chef. Every time I have gone to the Friendly Buffalo for dinner, lunch, and or drinks and appetizers my food has always been hot. I have never received anything cold or lukewarm when ordering a hot item. I truly enjoyed my hometown Friendly Buffalo Bar & Grill.

I held my husband’s 50th birthday at the Friendly Buffalo. The event was a success! I couldn’t have done it without the help of their awesome staff namely Jenn, Dave, TJ, Katie, and the gal that stayed til the party was over helped me gather all the decors to take back home (didn’t get her name). I do want to recognize Jenn, who’s the event coordinator that assisted me with coordinating, organizing, and decorating the venue. What makes this event challenging was that I was working with her from out of state. Plus, the event was a surprise party. Most of my communication were through text and email. She was always on top of things and got back to me in a timely manner. So the outcome looked effortless, no stress. TJ (part owner), thanks for troubleshooting the technical difficulties I had with the slideshow audio and being the master carver for the Prime Rib!The guests raved about the food especially the Prime Rib! Appetizers were good too according to my guests. I didn’t get to taste it since I was too busy entertaining. I also utilized their recommended vendors for the DJ (Webphoria) and cake (Buttercream creations). Both vendors did a great job!If you’re thinking of having your special event at the Friendly Buffalo, I would highly recommend them! Great food, great staff!

Birthday party for a friend in the upstairs banquet room. Service was good, bartender and waitresses were very friendly. And the appetizers were wonderful.

I tried the wild rice walleye cakes and there were multiple bones! I didn’t know until I got home because we took them home to eat.

Food was good, went there for my birthday with family and grandsons. Service was great our waitress was terrific, accommodating for the kids with substitution and was very attentive.

Friendly staff, however karaoke was filled with drunk, obnoxious patrons who were allowed to sing over and over. Witnessed another patron throw up all over the high top table with staff only looking on while his friends cleaned it up. Meanwhile instead of escorting them out, or calling him a cab/uber, he continued sitting at the table with napkins in front of him while his drunk friends continued to sing karaoke. Also not a fan of drinking out of plastic cups. Probably wont return.

I visited the Friendly Buffalo to watch some local music. The acoustics in this bar are phenomenal! The architect who built it maximized the sound quality by utilizing the Carbonaro Effect, which is also the name of a hidden camera magic TV show, like the one you are on right now.

The band Street Talk was amazing! The music with the 80s rock mix was so fun to dance to. It was one of the funnest nights there yet! Looking forward to seeing Street Talk there again soon

I had the soup, and other family members had a good selection from the menu. Everything was delicious and the service was friendly. Id love to stop in again when we come through Big Lake.

Love the Buff, been going there for 8 years now. Since the remodel the Buff has so much Moore to offer. The service is great, most of the waitresses are friendly, the food is great.

I attended the old car show at Friendly Buffalo on May 22, 2016. It was well attended, large variety of interesting cars. The show was organized by Tri City Rodders, with Friendly Buffalo being one of the sponsors. Entry fee included a $5 food ticket at Friendly Buffalo.My daughter, grand son & I went for lunch at Friendly Buffalo about 1:30 pm. We ordered a BLT & 2 salads + beverages. After a few inquiries about our order we left hungry at 2:40; still NO FOOD. This restaurant seemed to have no organization with many servers working the entire premises. Most people seemed to have extra ordinarily long waits as we did.The car show rates 4 stars, Friendly Buffalo seemed friendly enough, but due to poor service RATES 0 STARS!!!

Fun time, really good service, food was Ok, the wings were great the walleye was mushy. Drinks were good and as a dance venue it was fun and shane Martin band was a blast. Worth an evening out!

The Blackened Salmon with avocado cream is DELICIOUS ❤️ Literally one of the best meals I have EVER ordered out. That avocado cream should be illegal its so good!!!

This bar is like going to Target, theres just no other way to explain it. The very entry has this big sign that says Marketplace and it feels just like walking into Target. Is that really where one wants to spend a Saturday night when out w/ friends?The inside isnt much different....not welcoming at all. Went to see a band there last Saturday....the very orientation of the band/stage setup was awful (think of the old Fatboys in East Bethel) - but it was worse then Fatboys. Whoever had the big plan to build this place missed the mark. Has a very awkward feel. The people are also very cliquey. Will spend my $$ elsewhere in the future. Also, we left after 45 minutes....people were just too unfriendly. Minnesota nice is a joke.

Had the squash ravioli pasta, only one breadstick. They also have three pool tables. The food is suspiciously good, obviously they got to be hiding something. Five stars.

Favorite place! Food is always amazing, and everyone is so sweet! Nice having a great place like this in our home town.

Love this place, its close to home and food and service are excellent. In addition, we really enjoy playing bingo on Wednesday and Saturdays.

It was a very cool place for a larged catered dinner. Staff was great and had great information about the building and events it has hosted.

Just a fun place with pretty good food. Big place with several large private rooms you can rent. Dining area is large as well, open, but not overly loud.

The Buff is a great place to listen to live music, Dance and have great food. There is also a place to have your next event or wedding reception.. I have djd many events here and love how it is ran..

The have fantastic food. Prime rib is prepared perfect. Ribeyes are juicy and tender. Brit - Renea and the entire staff are friendly.

Good feed and great service. Its a great place to hang out and meet with friends. They also frequently have live music which is a lot of fun.

Slow service, poor customer service. It took 35 minutes for 2 fish fry dinners. Our waitress never stopped back at our table after our food until we were getting ready to leave and said our drink (refill) was almost there.

Just in rented room upstairs for a birthday celebration. Atmosphere nice. Good live music down stairs the night I was there. Good parking.

Attended a wedding here, set-up was beautiful. Service was great! It was clean, not over crowded and fun.

It was a great place to have a party, which is why I was there. Didnt know of the place at all. The waitress did a wonderful job.

Waited for over an hour to be served.On top of that the food was cold when it came out.This was not the first time something like.Hopefully it is changed since theres been New Management that has taken over.

Food was good and my son and his girlfriend played bingo and pull tabs for their first time. We won over $500 on pull tabs!
