I highly recommend coming here and working with Alma! I just had my second facial with her and it was fantastic. She is extremely knowledgeable in what she is doing, as well as using new techniques and technology I had not tried before. She is also so kind and caring. She really turned my whole day around! Can’t wait for my next facial!

Best facial in SW Michigan! Go see Linda Perez she is the sweetest and the best! You will leave feeling magnificent and younger ;). Her skin products are the best as well. The salon is beautiful inside and very relaxing.

Marissa messed up my nieces hair so badly. She has absolutely no idea how to do balayage. I’ve been a cos for a long time so I fixed it for her and there was not a single section of hair that I could leave alone. EVERYTHING had to be redone. The pictures speak for themselves…now if the salon would just refund them like a good business should, then it would help but it doesn’t seem to be going that way. There is NO WAY marissa styled her hair and thought that she did a good job. Honestly, it’s embarrassing.

Amazing staff, amazing place. I went here initially for a message and then hair. The atmosphere is so calmly; I immediately felt better just walking in the front door.If you are looking for any service they offer, I cannot recommend this place hard enough.

Honestly, I am beyond baffled by the treatment my wife and I received from the staff. The short of it is that the staff we engaged with were snarky, rude and completely out of line. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The level of entitlement that they displayed is abysmal and I hope the owner of the company sees this review.A couple of weeks ago, I made a surprise appointment for my wife. She has been dealing with out newborn a lot on her own and I wanted to give her some her time. Well, when I told her about it, she said that she really did not feel well and that it would be a waste of money. I immediately called back to reschedule, but no one answered. I called again and left a voicemail explaining the situation and apologizing. Later, my wife received a call asking if she was coming to the appointment, to which she responded with no, my husband called an hour ago and asked to reschedule. The staff member was completely rude and snarky with my wife. Even then, my wife rescheduled the appointment. After thinking about it, my wife decided that she did not want to receive services from someone so rude and un-empathetic to her situation. She messaged their facebook page several times, no response. Finally, I called today and asked to just cancel it. I was met with Ugh, yeah, we figured she would just cancel. In the most pretentious awful tone. I asked what she meant by that and she said that because she rescheduled last time, she would probably cancel. I told her the reason she is cancelling is because of the treatment she got on the phone and the receptionist blamed it on us for not calling sooner. WE CALLED 20 MINUTES AFTER THE FIRST BOOKING.I thanked her for cancelling the appointment and hung up. I am beyond frustrated with this situation. As someone who has worked in the customer service/service industry for nearly 20 years, I cannot fathom how someone could believe this is acceptable.

EDIT. the owner directly commented on this and took zero accountability, making untrue claims and saying things about my child. I have the phone calls and messages that i would gladly share to show the professional (or lack of) and genral demeanor of the owner and employees. Awful customer service, and communication. Highly recommend not spending your time or money here, the first moment you have an issue or need to reschedule they are Absolutely horrible and completely unprofessional. As a cosmetologist myself, i cant IMAGINE treating my clients this way. I high recommend iris house salon and spa, you will be met with nothing but kidness, a great experience and an exceptionally knowledgeable staff!

There will be someone able to suit your needs.3 facial technicians that care about your skin and tailor each session to the individual. They are also fluent in non evasive face and body contouring using tools and machines.They have hair stylists educated in the latest color and styles. From cut, color, hair extensions and more. There is someone that you will appreciate.Please be sure to make an appointment for this salon. They are very busy but will do their best to serve you in a timely manner.

I absolutely love this place! I have started seeing Jessica recently for bi weekly massages and she does AMAZING work. Not only is she a great massage therapist, but a great business owner who genuinely cares to provide the best services for consumer friendly pricing. The salon/spa itself is very tranquil, perfectly decorated, and very clean. I also have family members who visit and use different massage therapists at Zen, and I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about them as well. I couldn’t imagine ever going anywhere else!

I have my nails done by Janis H. She always does a fabulous job ,Chris for my massage and i like the clothing they have for sale.. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The studio is clean and very comfortable to be at. I really like then salon a lot

Kelli is awesome and has very affordable prices for my kids to get their hair cut. The sinks are probably the most comfortable Ive experienced. Its a new space with a nice neutral color scheme inside. They offer tons of services like mani/pedi, massage, lashes etc.

Seconding anothers review before this: Ashley is an amazing esthetician! She is a wealth of knowledge and you certainly can tell she puts her heart into what she does. My skin has been through a lot due to a hormonal imbalance for years, plus lacking in knowledge of how to take care of my skin. Ashley was able to fill me in and guide me on how to improve my skincare regimen. My skin was GLOWING after. I definitely will be making another appointment with Ashley!Des does awesome lashes! She was super personable and we spent 3 hours together, which is quite a long time, but she made it very fun and relaxing. Im literally in love with my lash lift and tint!!! Thank you, Des!

I had a great cut and color with Lauren. I went short for the first time in ten years and Im so glad I did! She was knowledgeable with my hair type, my expectations and what would be good for me for day to day.Additionally, I had a phenomenal facial. It was very relaxing and my skin has been glowing!

Zen has a very personal, relaxed environment, and you feel like youre home after stepping through the door. Their staff are very professional, they have a very high end esthetician named Ashley that provides natural based high end skincare with really impressive results. Their massage therapist Jamie leaves you feeling like youve floated off into the fourth dimension. I highly recommend them for all of your beauty and wellness needs.

Jessica is an amazing massage therapist. She’s easy to work with for scheduling. She has a thorough knowledge of human physiology which allows her to really pinpoint areas that really need work. I’m so impressed with her, I’m recommending everyone I know to give her a visit! Amazing salon space and gorgeous decor! Love it!!

Ashley is an amazing esthetician! Highly educated on products and what will work for your skin condition. As a new momma my skin was all over the place from my hormones and lack of proper skin care. She was able to tell me my problem areas and what to use. My skin was radiant after my facial and I love all the Osea products she suggested I use daily. Self care is so important & I will be getting facials every 4 weeks from now on! Thanks Ashley!

Zen Salon is so clean and cute!! Very relaxing experience with the individual cubicals and adorable bean bag foot rests while getting your hair washed! Samantha Copeland is amazing and got me to hooked on some amazing hair products!

Zen is a great spa offering a variety of services. Their staff is consistently very respectful and courteous. Their massage staff are highly experienced and knowledgeable offering a solid Therapeutic and relaxing experience. The Zen building is forward thinking, comfortable and clean. Owner failed to pay her bills, resulting in employees coming in to Portage Police evicting them. My kids and I went in to get our hair cut to find upset employees packing their boxes the day of eviction.They had no idea and several even pay a month in advance and of course the owner had willingly taken their money, knowing darn well they were going to be kicked out.What a horrible.person! Id NEVER give her my business again.

Being a stylist is an unpredictable field to be in and sometimes takes time at a salon to know if it is a good fit and profitable. My sister-in-law worked here and was required to sign a contract, even though she was not assured of any income stability. After giving Zen fair trial, the distance traveling & small clientele count, was not able to continue as the expenses were more than her income. To add insult to injury, Jessica sued her for not fulfilling a year contract! I think that is extremely unfair and unethical. Have never heard of a salon requiring a self-employed person to sign a contract.That is a very sad way to make money. Shaking my head.😔

Of you like having your hair cut while half dry and half wet for a nice uneven cut and telling the stylist cut to make then ending up with a wacked up style for 40 dollars then this is your place. Im a cosmetologist but I dont tell them. There wasnt a slight bit of confidence in this stylist and she sisnt section anything for an inverted bob.

I’ve had a couple facials, a massage, and pedicure here. It’s a really top notch experience every time! Highly recommend.
