Showed this what seemed to be a bright young lady a picture of what I wanted and it was not cut correctly or looked nothing like the pic I wanted let alone I never got a style just a cut . So disappointed and will not go back . I wanted Mary and well I couldnt have her. Lol .what a waste of my time and money

Im always petrified of letting someone new touch my hair. I experience an unnecessary and ridiculous amount of anxiety just thinking about it. But, a couple of weeks ago I took a leap of faith and made an appointment at Cura with Natalie to get my hair cut.Natalie was great! She listened to me and understood exactly what I wanted. During that appointment we also discussed my hair color. I have always dyed my hair myself at home. But, I was ready to embrace my natural hair color, which I jokingly refer to as cruella. She offered advice and much needed encouragement. By the end of the appointment I loved my haircut and trusted Natalie enough to schedule another appointment.Two weeks later, I came in and Natalie blended my hair color. I absolutely love everything she did! And, the experience was very pleasant thanks to Natalie and her co-workers.Thank you everyone at Cura for a very enjoyable experience and for making me feel beautiful. I will be back!

They saved my mess of a head. A lot needed to be done and I knew that before I went. Sara did an amazing job blending the colors and creating dimension. The cut was great and overall I love the outcome. Thank you Sara!

Mary did a amazing job with my husband, son, 2 daughters & my hair.. I love it .. thank you for the amazing work you did, she did a wolf cut on my daughters hair and it came out amazing... especially with the long bangs.. Sara did a trim on my other daughters hair, which she did a great job on.. my daughter loved it .... I give this place 100 thumbs up.. they are kind and friendly and you feel welcomed and they are very professional and they do an awesome job on hair.

The haircuts are fine but the receptionist I had to deal with this morning was beyond rude. She couldn’t find my kids’ names for their appointments and had the biggest attitude as if I had done something to make her job just unbearable. I was in a great mood until dealing with this woman. There is just no sense in having someone who isn’t cheerful and nice as the first person you encounter when entering a business. 5 stars for the hair cuts. 0 stars for the front desk. It cost 0 dollars from your paycheck to be kind.

I be honest I hate leaving a bad review because the other professionals in the salon have been great. I have had numerous different services, keratin Brazilian blow out, facials, waxing etc. However I wanted to do something different in my hair without damaging my natural hair. I wanted to have some white hair extensions. The contrast and everything seem good. But because of my work I am in the army I have to have my hair in a bun most of the time. When I got the extensions I had to go back and have them reposition because the bond showed when I did a pony tail or had my hair un a bun. When I got to my appointment the hairstylist was going to replaced them (Serena) where it wouldnt show but as she was removing them I saw that there was a lot of hair coming with the extension, it was also very painful when she pulled them. I was aware that this might happen do to repositioning them soon but it was my first time and by the time she was halfway done I asked if she could remove all of them. I just didnt feel comfortable having them back on and loosing so much hair again. When I told her this she gave me attitude and was very disrespectful, and she started pulling them even harder taking off chunks of the hair with her. And I told her it was very uncomfortable and she said well you want me to leave them on then. I just felt like it was ver un profesional of her to come like that and do so much damage to my hot and scalp. As I had never done this service and she was aware of it since the beginning.I cancel all my future appointments with her, but is unfortunate because all the other stuff has been so welcoming and very nice.

Love this place!! Love the energy and the professionalism. Ive had appointments with Serena and she has exceeded my expectations in every way whenever she does her magic. Mary is also very nice and welcoming into her salon. Over all an amazing place to relax and pamper yourself! Highly recommended.

I went there for a haircut and felt like it was very professional and extremely clean. I was also impressed with the amount of services that were offered and how nice everybody was. During my shampoo Mary told me I had very nice eyebrows that needed a little touch up and this was honestly the best wax job I have ever had. My eyebrow hairs like to stay in my skin even with a wax so that was a pleasant surprise.I couldnt quite get my hair to do the same thing that my stylist, Mary, did so when I came back the next week for my highlights I asked her to touch them up and add a little fringe and was very impressed with the end result. My highlights ended up being a little less vibrant than I had expected so Mary stayed after closing time to make sure that I was a satisfied customer. I left there feeling more beautiful than I have felt in a very long time! Thank you so much!

They have really good hair extensions they walk you through how to do it in the evening show you how to put them back in if they fall out also they were really cheap. Their hair service is amazing I get my haircut there at least once or twice a month. I went and got a make up tutorial there loved it, and I’m hoping to go get my nails done there with my friends! Have have really good service and I love to get my hair done by Serena.They also recommend to you hair products and other products like make up. The place is so cozy and I love even just waiting there to get my haircut. They also do hair dye if you don’t like extensions.

I love this salon. I get my hair done here and the staff is outstanding! I also decided to try the Energy Sound Healing with Mary. I’ve been through a lot in my 37 years of life. I’ve been through every form of abuse imaginable but the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do was when I had to bury my 18 month old son who passed away in 2005. I thought his death was going to be brought up during my session and to my surprise it wasn’t. It was resentment, I had resentment towards someone and I knew this issue had nothing to do with my sons death. So I sat there thinking about it who it could be and then I knew... it was my ex-husband. I told Mary the issues that made me resent him for so long, and she knew exactly what to do. I literally can’t describe the feeling I felt afterwards, except that I finally feel peace. Thank you Mary for everything you did for me that day. I’ve carried this around for 11 years and you were what I needed to release that pain that I kept locked away for so long. Energy Sound Healing really work!! You are absolutely amazing.

I have been going to Cura Salon for over a year; I started shortly after they opened last year. I have never had a bad experience. Mary, the owner, is awesome! She is the stylist that cuts my hair. Ive never had a bad cut from her, and she listens to what I want, and then makes it happen! Shes taken the time to show me tips and tricks, and is very patient with me. :)I have also had pedicures done at Cura. LOVE THEM! They are so wonderfully relaxing! And I recently had a facial and massage as well. (Mothers Day gift from the hubby and kids.)All in all, this is a wonderful salon. If someone mentions they need to get a haircut, I suggest Cura Salon. If someone mentions a manicure, pedicure, etc, I suggest Cura Salon. The salon is beautifully decorated, everything is spotless, and I cant imagine anyone suggesting otherwise, except out of spite.

Went to get my daughters first hair cut the people were super nice. When we left I thought her hair looked a little crooked but just brushed it off thinking it was just from the way it was laying on her coat but once I got a chance to look at it the lady missed a lot of long hairs and my daughters hair is at an angle I called to see what they were going to do and was told someone will call me they didnt care at all

Cura Salon is the best!! Tiffany has been doing my cut and color for some time and she always listens to my needs and does amazing cuts and colors. Mary Nading has a Top-notch salon and business. I recommend all her services at her salon. The staff if very nice, the place is relaxing and very clean. I love the new landscaping she just got done this past week and the future of the salon is always the place for me. You must go spend some time there and get pampered, you will be glad you did!

I went in for a Brazilian wax and was charged $95.00. Yes $95.00. My lady parts must be made of gold or something.. When on the booking website it says $60.00. I’ve had it done before for $65.00 (different place) not $95.00. I will not be returning and will take my business elsewhere. Hopefully they start to honor their website booking prices.

Got gel nails done by Mariah. She was great! Friendly, took her time and did a quality job, and was very knowledge about services and products. The prices at Cura are very reasonable and the salon itself is beautiful! Im a city girl living in a small town and Cura is as good, if not better, than many salons I have been to.

Cura Salon is a MUST BOOK for your wedding day preparation needs. Mary and her staff went above and beyond my expectations as a bride and did all the little things perfectly. They set out all of the items I brought for breakfast without me asking so my mom would not have to be stressed with anything. Because of the size of my wedding party, Mary called in reinforcements to ensure we were done in a timely manner, and we were even done a half hour earlier than predicted which is always a plus when there is a tight schedule of events for the day. Her staff were all friendly, fun and very accommodating. They even walked around and took pictures for us getting ready to document the whole part of the day. Words cannot express how grateful I am for this smooth and stress free experience! I will forever be a supporter of Cura Salon!

My stylist Serena Holliday cut my hair from long to a pixie and did an amazing job. She made sure I was comfortable with every step and listened to what I wanted. It was an overall really enjoyable haircut.

I had to make sure I wrote this review. Absolutely an awesome experience. I am a guy so i wasnt sure what to expect walking into a salon but I was quickly surprised to find a comfortable environment for both genders. I called and had an appointment in 5 mins due to a call out. Brenda who cut my hair seemed to know my hair better than I did. It was comfortable, quick, and I literally didnt have to say but one thing throughout even with my complicated hair style. I will definitely be back for my next haircut!

Dont let the older lady near your brows. shell tellyou you have great brows and then wax half ofthem off after you asked to just get them cleanedup and leave you looking like you just stepped outof 1990, perhaps the last time she went to aneducation class for waxing. very unfortunate that Ihad positive experiences here and now I willNEVER return. now I have to try to fill them in withmakeup every day until they grow back in.absolutely horrible Im devastated.

TERRIBLE SERVICE.AVOID!!!!!Made an appointment, travelled all the way there only to be told by a very unprofessional, unhelpful manager that my appointment did not exist and that she would not even try to find out what went wrong.No effort made to rectify the situation, very rude and unhelpful manager.To be fair, it was probably for the best after having seen the disgrace her eyelashes were.

This place ROCKS with two great stylists. Thank you Cassidi & Mariah for our awesome pedicures! Cassidi also did such a perfect job on my color/highlight. It was exactly what I wanted. Dont hesitate to try this salon out. Its a very welcoming place.

Ive been going to Cura since it opened and had been to the previous location Styles Unlimited since my first hair cut (age 2?) Ive done just about every service provided (hair, color, massage, nails, acupuncture, rock healing, bridal party, etc.) Never have I ever had a poor experience, never have I ever walked away with a bad taste in my mouth. Professional, Friendly, Affordable, Responsible & Reliable. Ive made last minute/same day appointments (to which they accommodated greatly), Ive come back to have things re-adjusted if needed (no questions or harsh experience with that), and Ive gladly signed my 13 person bridal party up for my big day this year because I know, no other place can provide what Cura provides nor will any other place make me feel like the Queen for the day! Any other reviews contradictory to that, is out of spite and clearly mis-informed. Ive had wonderful experiences with all staff; the new additions are great! Cant wait to get my massage scheduled for this coming week and hair trial for next month!

They did a terrific job with my wedding party. We had 7 people for hair and 4 people for make up. Our wedding ceremony and reception was outdoors. Everyones hair and makeup lasted all night. All styles had been very professional and friendly. They provided water, coffee, lemonade and cookies. They also let us bring in additional food and drinks. I was very impressed and if I lived in the area I would definitely go to this salon more often.

Clean, unclustered environment. Friendly staff. Multiple services, and have not had a complaint. The massages are great, the pedicure was fantastic, and Marys haircuts and other services are wonderful.

Went to get a hair cut. Very comfortable waiting area. I was asked if I wanted anything to drink right away. One of the best scalp massages ever during the shampoo! The hair cut was very good and you cant beat the price for the service. Awesome place! Ill be back many times!

The people here are amazing and friendly! The atmosphere is terrific, not your ordinary run of the mill salon. This is were you go to get pampered! A bit higher price, but nothing terrible. I seriously reccomend!

Today, I had my first massage with Becky at Cura Salon! All I can say is WOW!! When I went there I was in pain! Now four hours later I feel great! Becky know what she is doing! She also used essential oils in which also make getting a massage wonderful! If you are looking for a place to get a massage I would recommend making an appointment with Becky!

I first went 1 year ago for relaxation massage for my birthday. I had been so sick for over a year so I just made the appointment. I saw Kirk was nervous but have been seeing him for almost a year. He has helped me tremendously! Everyone can see the difference and it is all thanks to Kirk! He listened to me and helped me. He is the best!

I dont ever like to give a place a bad review but I suppose its the one way to communicate to improve their service. I was not impressed with what happened to my hair. I actually went back to have the technician redo it. It was even worse after that. And to top it all off I have extremely short hair and I was charged $107.00 for a color and highlights and not even a cut. The only reason I went there was my normal hairdresser had been ill. I thought maybe I would try someplace new out. When my regular hairdresser returned to work she was appalled at what they did to my hair. It took her two sessions to fix what they did as far as the color went.

Very pleased with Cassidys work. The salon is beautiful and clean. Could have done without one of the other stylists fbombs and other foul language as she conversed with her client. That seemed very unprofessional!

This place is tops! Some have said on here that is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Complete worth every penny, everyone is super friendly! They have a lot of first time customer bonuses to check out. Its very clean and a fabulous atmosphere.

I have been going since the shop was Styles Unlimited in Norwalk, also! Love the ease of access now in Sparta! Mary Nading has been doing my hair for years, and will hopefully continue for years! I love the salon atmosphere and the girls! Very updated and comfortable!!!

I am responding to the first review. When someone is going to write a review they should tell the entire story. This wedding party of 12 did not book their appointments until 3 weeks before the wedding. We were fortunate enough to be able to move some of our exisitng appointments around to accomodate them. They came 30 minutes late to begin with and gave no apology. Two of the bridesmaids never did show up, and two left without paying. We had to call and have it put on the brides credit card hoping to wait until the wedding had started as not to add any more stress for her day and the ceremony should have been in progress when the receptionist made the call and they still answered! It was a less than favorable day with weather and was not told the ceremony would be held outside. It was a very unorganized, lack of communication type of a situation. Some of the people in the salon were not even speaking to one another. I have been a salon owner for almost 30 years, and have served hundreds of brides and wedding parties. It is not my policy to get into all the personal things that involve our clients. Attacking my personal chacter and business is wrong. You dont even know me, or the dedication I give to my profession and my business!. We have receits and all the information recorded from this bridal party for anyone to view. I have a very capable staff with years of experience. When someone chooses to write a review, that is their choice, just please include all the information. Thankyou!

I was part of a bridal party that had hair and makeup down here in May 2012. A wedding day is stressful enough in its own right, and the experience that our bride had here was HORRIFYING!!!--Ambience: the place looks great. If you check out the website and all, you think you are going to get a great experience and you think to yourself, wait, this is in Sparta?!?! because it looks like a place that should be in a big city.--Styling: styling looks great at the beginning. Our hair was all done by 10 am, but by the time the 1 pm wedding came, everybodys curls were coming out. The day was not humid, we were inside all day, and nobody was jumping around. The quality was just not there. Ive been in four other weddings and this is the first time Ive had my hair fall out and look messy for the ceremony.--Price: The website lists updos for $40 for adults. My hair is shoulder length and it was $60 before a tip. Its wasnt anything special and I was out of the chair in 25 minutes.--Makeup: it was okay, but nothing earthshattering.--Stylists: Mary, the owner, seemed a bit over the top on her fake-iness. Brenda was a sweetheart and we all loved her. Tiffany could not have been colder.--Dirty little maneuvers: we were all aware of their policy regarding cancellations and we were all planning to be there on time. However, in the wee hours of the morning of the wedding, one of the other bridesmaids went in for an emergency appendectomy. Needless to say, she did not make her appointment a few hours later. The brides sister-in-law was along to take pics, but it seemed that it would be okay for her to step in and take the missing bridesmaids place. However, when it came time to pay, the bride was still charged for the missing bridesmaids hair and makeup PLUS and extra $10 because of the no show. It was pointed out that the SIL had had her stuff done, and had paid for it--its not like they didnt get paid. However, they still made the charge. ROTTEN! DIRTY! HORRIBLE!!! Um, hello, Better Business Bureau...The bride, who is Miss Organization, had the paperwork that was signed, and never once was there anything about it -- the only mention was if the ENTIRE PARTY didnt show up, then you would be charged. The receptionist and Mary (owner) could not have been colder. So, lets see, you have 6 appointments set, did 6 peoples hair, and got paid for seven? Nice...Even better, about 15 minutes before the bride was to walk down the aisle, there was a call from the salon. One of the credit cards of the bridesmaids didnt go through, so they had just charged the bride for it. Thats okay, right? Seriously??? Thankfully, both the bride and bridesmaid had paid with credit cards and guess what... BOTH got charged. What is that count now. Thats right, Cura charged for not 6, not 7, but 8 hair and makeups. Thank goodness for credit card disputes!What the eff is up with these people. I dont know if they have sniffed too much hair spray or what, but I would not recommend these people to ANYONE. Wished that we would have known about the previous reviews for the location prior to 2011 -- no wonder they changed the name! (Formerly known as Styles Unlimited in Norwalk, WI)Even if I hated a persons guts, I would recommend they go someplace else. Its not worth the stress to deal with these incompetent idiots.

We did our first haircut there for my two year old daughter and they were great! Had everything needed, kid-friendly and went very fast and nice.

I was the maid of honor for a wedding party that had their hair done here in July. Our bride had made all the arrangements and I guess they make you write down the names for all the bridal party members that are getting their hair down. Our party had the bride, 5 bridesmaids, a junior bridesmaid, 2 moms, and 2 flower girls. At the last minute, one of the bridesmaids and one of the flower girls (mom and daughter) did not come because of some issues with the flower girl and her brother (we are talking little kids here, they dontalways cooperate!). Brides brothers girlfriend came and had her hair down instead because then it would take one of the places. They were more than agreeable to do that when asked. When it came time to pay, they decided to still charge the bride for the 2 that did not show up. Even though she arranged to have another person come take the place and it was perfectly okay for them to do the hair of that girlfriend, they would not substitute her in place of the bridesmaid that didnt show up. In addition to the assumed cost that it would have been to do the bm and fg that didnt come, the bride was charged a no show fee of $10 per person. And you know what happens when a salon does that to a bride on her wedding day? She cries when told she has to pay over $100 for services not rendered. THEY MADE THE BRIDE CRY ON HER WEDDING DAY AND NOT FOR A GOOD REASON. We also had one of those infamous credit card mixups like the other person that reviewed this place. For real? Shame on you Cura Salon!!! I wish that we all would have known of your policies beforehand. Maybe this place is okay for going to get a massage or your hair done, but I would not recommend it to a bride!

Stephanie really listened to color concerns. Asked lots of questions and offered suggestions, along with what we could try if I didnt like what I chose. Followed up too, asking if I was liking what we did.

Please do not come here for your color needs. After 5 hours and $260 later I walked out with yellow and orange highlights. I asked for mushroom brown and owner said she could do it..looked at the picture numerous times...I will have to go elsewhere to fix the problem costing me more money in the end....very disappointed and will never come back here.

Today I had a haircut from Mary. and she cut it just the way I wanted and I love the way she styled it. It is perfect.! I will be a returning customer.
