The Marion Wing Factory

The Marion Wing Factory is a must-visit when in town! We had a fantastic experience with delicious wings, a welcoming atmosphere, and friendly staff. The menu offers a fantastic variety of flavors, and the other food items were equally impressive. Its a great spot for families and friends alike.We were lucky enough to meet the owner, Cody Andrews, who clearly has a passion for providing the best possible experience for his customers.

Today was our first time at the Wing Factory, in Marion. We went for an early dinner, on a Tuesday, and sat at the little bar. Our server (Sienna) was a sweetheart. She made recommendations that we ended up loving, and was very attentive in making sure we were good, throughout our time there.We loved the Tater Kegs, Egg Rolls, and of course the wings. The garlic parmesan sauce was delicious.The only somewhat negative thing I could say is that the bar stools are too short, and hard metal. They need to be taller and cushioned.Well definitely go back. Give it a try!

The wings were great. Our server Catlin was awesome. She was right there every time at the right. To keep us with drinks.

Great and friendly staff. Wings are fried and tossed in the sauce, they are not breaded. They are so good! I’ve tried all their top 4 hot sauces (Whole @$$, 5-0 Fury, Logan St Ladder Co, and Mango Habanero). Very flavorful! The whole @$$ has a nice kick to it, but still has a great flavor. Their fries are also tasty!

Usually what is amazing service with our regular waitressThe one we we had tonight has been less than average. Receipt says Michalyn W3 tables 2waitresses/1waitor. 8:00pm on June 20th.Have been waiting on refills for our drinks for at least 10-15 minute. Waitress has looked our way multiple times. Brought receipt before our food even came out. Didn’t bring out our app another waitress did.As of now 8:18 pm still no refill on drinks.Spoke with manager at 8:24Was told “appreciate your feedback. Will make sure next times better”

Burger was extremely tough definitely not inedible but not worth the 15 dollar price tag. Fries were fantastic, and the mac and cheese and bacon on the burger was good.

Best place in the mountains to get some good fish and onion rings. The waitress is very polite and suggested the foods she thought we’d like. And listen to some good Bluegrass band called Jacktown Rambler

Great food. I tried the two hottest flavors and let me tell you what. Hot is an understatement or I have a tender mouth lol. All honesty the wings are amazing I ate all 16 that I ordered so they are hot but they are definitely palatable although next time I will go with some a little more mild!

Julia is lovely! Ive never ate here before and came for a date and got the cauliflower wings in Asian chili sauce with a side of fries, it was very filling and probably one of the best restaurants in Marion by far. (They give way more than the 8 wings btw)

Not only today, but every visit, the service is excellent! Our orders are accurate and wings are delicious 😋!

We came in with a large group of Boy Scouts and were accommodated well. Hope and Julie did a great job helping us. Wings are excellent!

My wife and I enjoyed a perfect lunch here at the outside bar table. I recommend the Buffalo wings and their fried green tomatoes. They are also dog friendly in the outdoor seating area.

The wings are excellent, and the prices cant be beat on Wednesdays. The wings are jumbo wings, cooked fresh to order, and the wet sauces and dry rubs are incredibly flavorful and tasty. The servers are all very nice and we have always been well tended to. This restaurant gets very busy on Wednesday nights and there can be a pretty good wait, but it is well worth it.

If you’re looking for great chicken wings, give this place a try! They have so many flavor options from sweet, to savory, to hot. My favorite flavor is the Kickin Bourbon or Apple Butter BBQ. Not only are their wings good, but they have healthier grilled options & salads. However, this place is small and if there is live music, it’s very loud. It’s great food and I’ve never had to wait for a table.

Savanna was amazing, she went above and beyond to make sure I liked what I ordered. Let me sample the hot sauce before I decided. She made our dinner there great. Thank you, Savannah. Best fries we have had in awhile.

Wanted to try the wings and placed a pickup order online. It came back my wings would be ready in 30 to 35 minutes. That was fine. 10 minutes later, got text, wings were ready. Hmmm, seemed a little fast, but maybe they had a batch ready to go. I had ordered the 2 sauce, 8 wing deal. Jamaican jerk and sweet chili wings sauce. I had a little trouble seeing the entrance to the pickup window, but it was through a gate next to the main door. Just dont really notice it from the parking lot because it is angled sideways from the door, no problem. I really liked I didnt have to go inside to pick up my order. Immediate and friendly service. Took no time and I was away with my wings. At first glance, wings were packed nicely, separated by foil with a nice array of celery and carrots. The problem is the wings. They werent large, but bigger than fast food wings and were piping hot. The sauce was almost non-existent and so watery. The sauce didnt stick to the wings and had almost no flavor. The sauces were so watery that the wings were kind of soggy. The meat itself wasnt very high quality either. It was gummy in parts and tough and chewy in others. I really didnt enjoy these wings at all. I hope their other food is better. I gave this place 3 stars because of the people and atmosphere and presentation of the food were all great. Oh, the carrots and celery were fresh and crisp. Ranch was meh.

We stopped here on our way to Winston-Salem for dinner. The traditional bone in wings were fabulous, crispy and a nice size. The garlic parmesan, lemon pepper and kickin bourbon glaze were our fave flavors. However, the surprise highlight were the fried cheese curds with caramel sauce. OH. MY. WORD. I was skeptical but our waitress encouraged us to try the sauce and Im soooo glad she did. Excellent service. Loved the hometown vibe and the bluegrass band. Love that they support first responders and military.

Great place! We live in Black Mountain and went out for the first time because we needed wings. Lauren was a great server and the wings were amazing! We ordered the hottest wings and they didnt disappoint. They definitely caused tears of joy. The cheese curds were top notch and the egg rolls were fantastic, too. Cant wait to go back.

The Marion Wing factory was excellent. The quality was surprising.Do not get the buffalo (2022). The flavor needs to be updated. It tastes very generic, and wasnt anything to write home about.The other flavors were very, very good. Theres a deal buy one. Get one free on Tuesdays for boneless wings. It felt like a experience that competes with Buffalo wild wings in my opinion.

Second time I’ve tried this place . The first time was disappointing but I gave it a second chance and it was even more disappointing.Service was extremely slow but the only reason I’m giving 3 instead of 1 star is that the staff is very nice and they did seem busy. . My food was cold and inedible , the bacon Mac is like Kraft macaroni with a pound of bacon on top . That’s it.It was 14$ so I was just expecting it to be a bit better . The wings aren’t bad , it is a wing place after all so if you just want to hang out a long while waiting and just eat some wings this place is fine for that .

The food is delicious! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the wings and the cheese logs! Burgers and fries are pretty dang good too! Wings ranged in hotness from 1-14 (14 flavors) on the menu, so you know what youre in for :) Plan to spend awhile there-nothing is rushed.

First time here and everything was good. Service was excellent. The wings are delish. I had the hottest wings and they were Hott!! They have a exciting menu with lots to choose from. It was 10 of us and the servers handle big crowds well. Can’t wait to go back. I highly recommend this place.

The wings at this spot are amazing, probably the best you can find in Marion. They might cost a little more, but the quality is definitely worth it, and they often have awesome deals. You have to try their duck wontons! Whenever Ive had a special request or a problem with my meal, theyve always been super helpful.Before I moved away, I used to come here every Wednesday, and I was never let down. The staff is really friendly and always ready to assist. I deal with anxiety, and they went out of their way to make me comfortable. After a few visits, they recognized me and my order, which made me feel so welcome.

Let me start by stating that I’m a maitre’d for a popular restaurant in Asheville and I’m never really bothered by wait times.At first I was upset because I had to wait like 15 min to get my drink order taken but it was really busy and I only saw 3 servers for the full space.Then my mom started acting like she’s never been at a sit down restaurant. So for the server to be nice the whole time I give her 5 stars.She had like purple active oval nails or something.

We love the food, drinks and atmosphere of MWF! The new expansion of the restaurant/bar is super nice! The service is awesome and the food is always good!

Despite a total expenditure of $65, our first-time visit did not meet our expectations.The standout disappointment was the teriyaki wings, which, unfortunately, lacked any discernible flavor. It was surprising and disheartening, as this particular dish is often expected to be a highlight. The absence of taste in such a prominent item significantly contributed to our overall dissatisfaction.In constructive feedback, we hope for improvements in both the seasoning of the dishes and the overall value for the price paid. Its not just about the monetary aspect but also the desire for a more enjoyable and flavorful dining experience. Love the Appetizers, sandwiches, wings and awesome sauce selection. Service is always top shelf and its a sports bar so the atmosphere is prrfect.

Dont waste your time or money.The wings are small and there is nothing special about them.The burger I ordered was cold and raw in the middle. They were not busy and it still took 30 min.My Gf ordered Buffalo Mac and cheese. The chicken was cut up frozen nuggets and the Mac and cheese was instant like kraft. Definitely not worth $15. Also do not ever trust the owner or go in business with him. He has a problem with pathological lying and the menu here does as well.

We just tried this place for our first and last time unfortunately. The service was really bad. We waited about 30 minutes for our food, and it wasn’t busy. There was no apology for the wait. I ordered a beer, didn’t get it. When the food finally came out, it was barely warm, I reminded her of the beer and she got it, with no apology for forgetting. She never checked back to see if the food was ok. My husband had coleslaw with his meal, she didn’t bring any silverware. We got her attention and asked for a fork, she said ok I’ll get you one, no apology for forgetting and we still never got one! My husband waited until our grandson was finished with his fork and they shared one. Our waitress and we are guessing the cook were constantly arguing loudly in the restaurant. Awful atmosphere. Too many other places to ever go back here again. We spent 38$ for mediocre food and awful service.

They have good wings but the thing theyre doing now that blew me away Were we ordered Cheese curds and they delivered them with a Carmel sauce or dip. Omg I never realized how well they paired together!

We had Angel as a server. She was great. Food is amazing. We were passing through on a trip and will go that way again.

Flavors were spot on, SO DELICIOUS but wings were slimy & chewy bc theyre not cooked crispy enough for the sauce. I would fry them crispy then add sauce. Then youve got people craving them and coming back for more & more. Like I said the flavors are top notch.

The food was amazing! We had the Grand ol egg roll for an app and the Buffalo Mac to split between my husband and I and it was simply amazing! The only thing we changed was adding an extra portion of chicken to the Mac since the two of us were splitting it. The staff was super friendly, the beer and drinks were great, and the atmosphere with live music was excellent! We couldnt have asked for a better experience all around.

The wings were juicy, staff were friendly and the atmosphere does what most Applebees attempts to do but cannot...they create a home for your hunger. There is a certain comforting mixed with classic dining experience you can find within if you decide to visit. The owner makes all his sauces personally and has a great track record of successfully tackling taste buds with his crazy concoctions. I recommend Carolina Gold with wings or the Big Chungus Burger!🙂

This place is AWESOME! The customer service was 10/10 and so was the food. Great atmosphere and even better food. The fries were amazing and so were the wings. Honestly the best we have ever eaten. We tried the bone in and boneless and both were outstanding. Favorite flavors were kickin bourbon and mango habanero. Great lunch specials and reasonably priced!! Thanks Hope for taking care of us and ensuring we will be back many times!!

We have gone here a few times and told that wing Wednesday is 50 cent wings every week and has been for 2 years.Today they had a small sign saying the wings weren’t 50 cents when you walk in. I didn’t read the board, because it’s always alcohol advertisements. When 3 people ordered only wings to eat they didn’t say anything about not having their regular menu on Wednesdays. they charged us 50 dollars for 3 people getting 8 wings each and 2 sweet teas- without telling us it wasn’t wing Wednesday when we ordered. It is normally $20 or less!Def felt like they were not being upfront about it. Super disappointing we won’t be going back. ASK BEFORE YOU ORDER WINGS if the special is happening. And read the board I guess.

My husband and I go every Wednesday for $.50 wings. We have made it a ritual. We love that we have become Wednesday regulars.Their wings are great and their apple butter bbq and kickin bourbon are 2 of the best sauces!

It took forever to finally get our food and when we did it was literally cold as if out of the refrigerator cold. It was terrible and on top of that they wanted to charge a lot of money for it all they really had to offer was wings and macaroni and cheese both which looked like and felt like came out of the refrigerator very cold food it took a long time for our waitress to bring it to us while we witnessed her in the corner dancing. Wont ever go back again they probably wont stay open long

To start off, the food is cold, the service is slow, and the time you order your food to the time you get the food, took around 45-60 minutes even when there was little to no customers. Mac&Cheese bowls was not made correctly, it was cold and tastes like store bought, off the shelf in a box flavor. Even though the manager stated it was made fresh. The wings are to big for anyone to eat, the carrots looked like they didnt get washed. The server was not engaging with the customers and was only talking to the other associates and kitchen staff. I would NOT recommend this place for anything.

Awesome place recommended to us from our hotel. Duck Bacon Wontons were the bomb. Wings were very good as well. We got the apple butter barbecue, lemon pepper and something Habanero (sorry dont remember the name). Our waitress was great and the service was good. We tried to eat here on our way back out of town but they were closed due to a family emergency. Open a location in Raleigh!

The Marion Wing Factory is a great local restaurant for sports, family events, live music, and going out with “the guys.”This restaurant should be on the top of your list of places to visit when visiting Marion.The 828 sauce and boneless wings or “big chicken nuggets,” as my usual waitress calls them, are my go to. The food is always prepared correctly. They have a great and ever growing selection of flavors and other menu items for the weird family members that don’t like wings as well.It’s hands down one of my favorite places to eat in Marion. The staff always treats you like family.One of my favorite things about the place is their personable management. They are always transparent. Especially during the current economic climate about what they can do and cannot.They are open to feedback and always have a receptive attitude towards any feedback. If you have a complaint at this restaurant, whatever that issue is, you can guarantee it won’t be an issue the next time you go back. Very responsive and responsible management.If you want to support a local business that goes out of their way for their customers, employees, and other local businesses, this is it.

Hope is an excellent server. Cheese curds are wonderful, bone-in wings are better than boneless.

02/04/23. First time ever dining here. The worst $41.00 I ever spent on food. The chicken sandwich that looked like a school breaded patty, I small piece of tomatoe (was so thin, you could see through it) no mayo and lots of lettuce. And this cost $12.99 I think. Then my boyfriend got the cheese and bacon fries. The cheese was fake like, and fries were limpy. Im not putting this review on here cause I had a problem with the establishment, waiter, etc... Everyone was great. Except the food. If you love this place, then you have bland taste for food. Not worth the prices. And menu is small. If only I could post the pics I took.....

I have been trying to come here forever since they opened, and it was not a disappointment at all. Everything was nice, the servers were very nice, the prices are good, and the food is good as well. I will say this though, the poultrygeist sauce they have here is like kissing the devil on the lips, to put it kindly. They do not mess around with hot wings here. I can see why they sell out fast here. It was also nice to sit and have the outdoor air blow inside while I had my food. Id come back again in the future.

This is the third time I tried to go to this restaurant. The first time they wouldn’t come and sit us so we left, second time we asked not to sit near the band area and the place had lots of seating but they just threw down menus and walked off so we we walked out. The third and final time this time I went in to do a take out and ordered wings. It was advertised to be 50 cents wings on Wednesday and nowhere did it say that the wings where only 50 cents if dine in and no one told me anything about this. I said it was not posted anywhere and they were very rude and said that’s the way it is. What is the difference in eating in or carry it out? Stay away! I was trying to help a local business never again!

A fun restaurant with a fun menu in a fun factory. 😋 it was great. We dont live in McDowell County so we wont go often, but we will go again!

Fiund this little gem while visiting Marion last week. We had the Buffalo, Mango habanero, and salt & vinegar wings. All were excellent. We also had the Duck Bacon Wontons. Delicious! Good beer selection. Fast friendly service. Moderately priced. Well be back.

Best place in town for wings! If you havent tried the lemon pepper seasoning its a must. Always friendly staff and great music! My daughter loves it when they do trivia night. If you havent been yet stop by and enjoy the great food.

This is an awesome restaurant with a friendly staff. The wings are actually jumbo, and expertly cooked. The selection of sauces is amazing, and you cant go wrong, no matter which you pick, but the 828 is a personal favorite. The appetizers are great, and the beer selection is full of local craft brews. Highly recommend.

First encounter with employee seemed quite rude. Asked for a table and was directed to one, which is why I gave a 1 star. After that it was a 10 minute downturn, then a exit. It wasnt the venue(live band) yet it was. First encounter was told that there was a 40 minute wait on food ordered. Ok thats all well and good. But, the music was so loud that you couldnt even have a conversation with the people that you were there with. You also could not understand/communicate with the waitress. This was my second time there, and I love wings. I also like giving back to local businesses. I also like having different choices. For now Ill have to stay with my go to wings at a local restaurant that Ive trusted for many years. They only have to types, mild and hot, but I know Ill get good wings when I order. If their wings were their main item I believe they would offer more flavors, wet and dry rubs. My hope is theyll (Wing Factory) continue to enhance their operation and serve many wings. After thought, have a live venue but control their volume in the restaurant. To the point your paying customers can enjoy their time there both with whom their there with and the atmosphere your business is providing. Thanks

Well I just found this place. And its been here 2 years(soon) and I love the wings I got. THE 828, THE ASIAN CHILL, AND THE APPLE BUTTER. They were so good. I got them to go but the people there were so nice and welcomed me in like family. Price is reasonable. I will most definitely be eating here alot.

Didnt even get a chance to try the food. My husband and I waited to be seated, but no one acknowledged we were even there. There were 3 employees behind the bar, one even looked at us and turned away. There were a few empty tables, but only 2 had been cleaned since they were used. Seemed like the focus was on the bar patrons not the customers that actually wanted to eat wings.That was my first and last time in that place

Food was awesome, Pricing was awesome,Service was awesome. Ive ate here several times and it has been great everytime. Multiple flavors for wings whether you like it HOT or Mild and Bone in or Boneless.

Food and staff are awesome. We’ve never had a bad experience or bad food. But the seating is horrible. If it wasn’t for the bar it would almost keep us from going. They are extremely uncomfortable and it’s hard to sit past 15 minutes. Other than that, one of the best places in Marion!

Ordered the bacon macaroni to go and 10 boneless wings. Wings were hard and tasted like they were frozen. I’ve made better macaroni fromA box. Not worth the price. We ended up throwing our half-eaten food away.

This place is absolutely wonderful. First time going and I really enjoyed it. The food was great, management was great and our waitress was really on her game. I don’t know her name but the young skinny brunette waitress is by far the best waitress I have met in McDowell county. The food came out quickly and was awesome.

The overall experience was good and the food was good despite the lengthy wait. My only complaint is that the dish I had, the wiggly piggly Mac n cheese description is a bit deceiving. The description leads you to believe that the pork is going to be shredded like a bbq since there is bbq sauce on it. I would have liked that better. If you are using ham, that should be made more clear.

Same food that you’d get at a fast food drive thru but with an added 10% takeout charge they don’t tell you about. The Mac n cheese is absolute trash and exactly where it ended up.

Even though they were currently out of the sauce I wanted on my wings the food is always amazing...best spinach artichoke dip in NC.Wings are always amazing, swiggly piggly is fn amazing. Hands down best wings and atmosphere in marion currently.Current live band tonight is actually really really good. Would recommend! Will be back!

I cant speak more highly of this restaurant. Food is great and the atmosphere is relaxed and warm. Staff is friendly and kind. They serve the the best fried cheese curds ive ever had and it comes with caramel sause, i was skeptical but it is amazing.

I have eaten here several times and am always pleased. The buffalo mac&cheese is delicious. My grandsons love the boneless wings. They even have a veggie version for vegetarians.

The garlic parmesan and the 828 wings are on spot. We tried to go last Sunday around 3pm and was told they were sold out. Im not saying I would not eat here again but believe it will be a little while. Give them a try and make up your own opinion.

Chicken egg rolls and wings were terrific. Tried the 828, apple butter BBQ and honey BBQ sauces. Found out theyre open for lunch now - will be a regular addition to the rotation!

Their wings are really good but be sure to check their Facebook page before you go, they close unexpectedly quite a bit. Either out of wings or staffing problems.

Great wings, very tasty. Could use a few more craft beers but they had a good IPA and some ciders. Will be back.

I called 10 times to place an order for pick up. They didn’t answer me once. I assumed they were busy. So I drove down there to find the place wasn’t busy at all. They were just too lazy to pick up the phone. The food is okay, it’s not worth all the unnecessary loops they put people through.

Hit or miss for sure. Great prices on drinks, food is nothing special tho. Staff are attentive and have a great attitudes!

Turned us away at 8:30 pm said they had to many door dash orders to serve a customer in the restaurant.

Just what Marion needed. Ive tried 4 flavors of wings and all 4 were excellent. Cool place to kick back and watch a game and eat some good wings!

The Mac and cheese was dry and cold. The boneless wings were also very dry and cold. Staff was very nice

This is the second time that Ive ordered take out and my order has been incorrect. The food is good BUT I prefer my order to be correct.

Was in Buffalo last week at anchor bar , these wings here are just as good (If not better) the basket of taters is to die for...thank you guys

Honestly I can’t say much for this place accept I am highly disappointed and dissatisfied in its actions the waiter was very rude when a friend of mine had asked about there prices and also said something about the raw wings we were served yes not only was the waiter awful so was the food and when he asked about these things he was kicked out the Marion Wing Factory handled this situation very poorly I am disgusted by them and everything they stand for and honestly this place is not worth a single penny it is over priced and highly over rated and truly is not worth the stars and the good rates it’s been given

Bar tender was very helpful and friendly. Good atmosphere, live music and 2 bars. Would highly recommend.

Nice place but like all the struggling restaurants having a hard time find great staff and my food was undercooked but the owner took care of it paid for everything which will mean I would be going back and hopefully it will be better next time
