Jeri is a good massage therapist, but the front desk and their billing problems have been a nightmare and I wont be going back after I get the last massage that I tried to cancel but they charged my card anyway and wont refund it

I dont leave reviews often, but after my experience I couldnt let anyone else go without knowing how you may be treated at this establishment.I was gifted a massage by a boss as a bonus. When I went in to redeem my gift certificate I was told I couldnt redeem it and I would have to pay full price. This is absolutely ridiculous and it said nowhere on the certificate that it could expire or not be used if the member was no longer a member of their boutique. They also refused to let me pay up front, so I unfortunately already had my massage when it came time to pay.Needless to say, I will not be giving this establishment my business again. If I was relaxed before I went to pay, I most certainly was not by the time I left the business. I left very angry and frustrated that what was supposed to be a relaxing afternoon before my wedding turned into an expensive and frustrating day.

I have no problems with the actual services of this location. Massages, stretching, and facials have all been great.My problem is that I have accrued 13 credits, because I have not been able to schedule a massage before I accrue more credits. I cannot dig myself out of this hole! I want to cancel my membership, but if I do, I lose out on almost $800!! I asked for a refund, but was told no. I asked for an opportunity to use up the credits I have already paid for, but was told I can put my account on hold for six months at an ADDITIONAL cost of $10/month. Which is impossible at the rate I am able to schedule. At the end of six months, I will go back to accruing credits.This is such scummy business practice! Through no fault of my own, I am trapped into this membership that I cant get rid of without losing out on a significant amount of money I already paid for services NOT rendered.Beware of the membership at this location!! It is a trap and you will not be able to get a massage monthly as they promise in the agreement. You will be forced to hold up your end of the bargain, but they wont hold up theirs!!

Went in for a massage and made the therapist aware that I was training for a marathon and had just run 20 miles. Asked for my legs to be massaged, what ended up happening was the therapist spent 90 minutes massaging the front of my legs and my shoulders and never even flipped me. Then said Im sorry, weve run out of time.Was waiting to write a review, I followed the advice from previous negative reviews that were replied to by their corporate office, and responded directly to their website to which they said they would get back to me within 48 hours. Its been 72 hours and I have heard nothing. I highly recommend not going here for your next massage.

This review is a bit late. My appointment was at the beginning of June. It was one of the worst massages Ive received. I asked for someone who was light to medium, and the woman was median to firm. She was not friendly at all and almost seemed annoyed. During the massage, I asked her to lighten up the pressure a couple times, which she did, but was still too firm for me. I gave up asking again because her mood was so off putting. Even when I was leaving, she seemed annoyed. I paid extra for aromatherapy, which is just lotion with aromatherapy in it. It felt like a rip off. I will not be returning.

Overall it was fine. The staff was friendly and I liked the atmosphere of the building. The massage tables were really comfortable. Just one thing that irritated me was that I paid for a fifty minute massage, not an hour. The undressing and dressing time counted as my hour massage. It really aggravated me because if I am paying so much for a massage then I should be paying to be massaged, not taking my clothes off. Also what kind of got to me was they asked me if I wanted to leave any gratuity for the massage person... thats like asking if you want to leave your server a tip at a restaurant. Just thought it was weird and made me feel really uncomfortable. It was a good experience for the most part... the massage was good. I just wish it was longer than 45 minutes.

**ZERO STARS**I have NEVER written a bad review. But, this situation definitely needs to be addressed and others warned!I went to Massage Envy, the Missoula, MT location, to get a massage for neck issues. The gentleman that did the massage was wonderful, that was not the problem. The gal at the front desk talked me into getting a membership, which did reduce what I would pay monthly for massages. She did inform me of the policies about canceling the membership early. She DID state that there were obviously unforseen circumstances that they would honor.Fast forward a few months. I was being charged monthly for these services. Unfortunately, I wasnt able to use a single massage I was charged for.  At 39 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I immediately had to have surgery, and also radiation. I am still waiting on one final pathology report to determine if Chemo is needed. Obviously,  with major surgery and the treatments Im facing, massage is not safe for me. I called the office to discus this with them, at which point they transfered me to the manager. She was extremely rude and unsympathetic. She flat out told me Im sorry about whatever your diagnosis is, but there is nothing we can do  THEN proceed to tell me we wont refund any of your money, and you need to pay your last 3 payments  Again, I explained to her that I have CANCER...it is not safe for me to get madsages, and because of my diagnosis I am unable to work and I cant afford what they are charging me ...for a service I have NEVER USED!  She told me too bad, I signed a contract, there is no way out. I even offered to bring supporting medical documentation,  and/or  a note from my Oncologist. She would not even discuss it.I am so incredibly angry and disappointed. This is completely unacceptable.  I never saw myself getting cancer and having to cancel my agreement. I would much rather pay my monthly dues and get massages rather than battle cancer.DO NOT SUPPORT OR USE MASSAGE ENVY. They are rude, mean, and very untruthful. I will continue spreading my story until they do what is right and refund my money. I am out over $400.00.  Do what is right, refund my money,

I almost dont want to write this review so that it doesnt get harder to find an open appointment with Nick (Nicholas in the system) - but hes earned it.If youre looking for the best deep tissue massage of your life, request a session with Nick. I had a 90 min session with him after 1.5 months of weight training and I walked away floating on clouds with my muscle tension completely gone, my flexibility back, and feeling a cm taller.I travel for work a lot and have gotten massages regularly across NYC, LA, SF, and Hawaii so I feel confident in saying that Nick is world class and is a gift to Missoula. I couldnt believe my luck in finding such a talented, truly professional massage therapist who clearly puts enormous amounts of thought and heart into his art. The techniques he used were spot on and most importantly, I have 100% confidence in his skill and experience to safely execute a real deep tissue massage. If you want to put your sore neck in good hands, put your trust in Nick.If youre looking for a relaxing massage, not a therapeutic or deep tissue one, I also recommend Zachs hot stone massage! It was the perfect relaxing massage, Zach has great technique and the most soothing manner.Youll have to book quite a bit in advance for both these guys but really well worth it. Front desk staff was also very friendly and efficient - kudos!Warning: DO NOT sign up for a contract unless you really know you wont need to cancel, as canceling is practically impossible if youre within your term, youre really locked in. Im still regretting it.

Such a relaxing experiences, the front desk ladies are always so friendly and kind. All of my massages have been so amazing. I really enjoy the fact that I can try out multiple massage therapist. Each one has their own perfect touch.Thank youMassage Envy!

The therapist I got applied very heavy pressure. I had to ask repeatedly to lighten things up. I enjoy a firm massage but this entire thing was very painful. There wasnt a flow or rhythm to her massage. It felt all over the place. Her scalp massage was scratching the sides of my head for 5 minutes. While very sweet, she would not stop talking. She seemed to lack knowledge of muscle groups and the flow in which massage is beneficial to relax and release tension. Being a single mom I dont treat myself to something like this very often. And after this experience I wish I would have gone somewhere else. A complete waste of money.

They have a lot of different Massage Therapists, each with their own style. I have seen about 4 different ones that they call a medium to deep pressure and they have all been great! They all listen to what I want worked on which is nice. I usually come here about once a month to once every two months depending on how I am feeling, but they always greet me by name and offer water. The dim lights, music and the warm bed really add to the massage as well.

November 19th. After my horrible experience on 11/12- my husband had a massage with Callie. He said it was the best he has ever had.So I guess it all just depends on the therapist.They do have great customer service.Review date, November 2019.I had a 90 minute massage this week. I felt I needed to give an updated review. The therapist I had in June moved. So I had to go with a new gal. She was horrible. She literrally talked the entire time. I know about her, her husband, her parents and her grandparents. Her favorite bands, family history, what kind of architecture she prefers. Let it be noted. I barely spoke back to her. She then proceeded to fat shame me. Ya, im definitely not impressed and will not be renewing my membership.Review date June 2019: This is the 3rd Massage envy location I have been to. 2 were in Idaho. This is by far the best location. The receptionist was knowledgeable and and didnt look like she was going clubbing after. The waiting area was spacious with big windows. My therapist was amazing. The only thing that could use an update was the bathroom. But Im weird like that. Lol

Ive never had a massage that DID NOT RUB MY FEET OR HANDS, until now... First time 50 minutes was $50, not bad. But unless you buy a membership, your next 50 min massage is $90! The office was like a doctors office, not a spa or anything relaxing. Really the most disappointed in the lack of massage!! I wish I said something and not paid $50 to lay there cold for an hour

I have had a membership for 2 years at another location, and decided to make an appointment midway through four solid weeks of business travel. It was easy to make an appointment, select the best therapist fir me, and ensure I could use my membership credits. Big shout out to my therapist, Nathan. He was a total rockstar and knew exactly what I needed to help alleviate pain from rheumatoid arthritis. I highly recommend this location and Nathan.

I got to Massage envy almost every 2 weeks! love my experiences and the staff is great as well! I started going because I suffer from migraines. I had talked about this to my massage therapist and she hits the areas that start my migraines, I am pleased to say I havent had a headache in almost 2 weeks and no migraine since I started going! This is my only place I will go to now!

Very professional, clean, convenient and excellent customer service. The staff works hard to provide the best therapist for you. The ease of making appointments, billing and the membership makes it very turn key. I highly recommend Massage Envy.

Terrific place! I get some of the best massages I have ever had, and with the subscription based plan I can afford to get a message every two weeks. The staff are polite, professional, and all around the best massage experience I have had within Missoula.

I was in Missoula for the weekend. I woke up one morning with a crazy amount of pain in my shoulders and neck. I called Massage Envy to schedule a massage and they were able to get me in within 30 min. Jen was my masseuse and she was excellent. She was great with communicating and asking me relevant questions to make sure I was comfortable. I felt like new afterwards. I would recommend massage envy to everyone!

Not a place Id recommend to anyone. I was asked to review my experience and when it wasnt a good review I never had a response back. The massage therapist shook me like a can of shaving cream and karate chopped my back like I was a piece of meat. Ive never had a massage like this and I have had many from a few different places. This was my first time here. I dont think it is a place where you can get relief from the staff here. Very poor experience.

If you like your massage to come with pressure to schedule a longer session, or add extra services, this is your place. If you like to have a great massage from a therapist one week, and a mediocre one the next week along with a suggestion to schedule more time, this is your place. If you want to be injured by a massage therapist, this is your place. If you want the owner to attempt to railroad you into pretending none of the above is happening, this is your place. If you want the owner to engage in deceit with you, this is your place.

I absolutely love going to Massage Envy Spa for both massages and facials! Everyone who works there is very friendly. They are always happy to see me and greet me by name. The therapists and estheticians are genuinely happy and excited to work with you. They care about ongoing wellness, not just a one time spa day deal like some massage places Ive been to in the past. Its very affordable, which allows someone like me who doesnt make a ton of money to be able to work towards ongoing well being, and still be able to leave a generous tip. Liz is a fantastic esthetician; she has given me the most relaxing and beneficial facials Ive ever had. Id recommend seeing Kari, Katie, and Avala for massage. Kari and Katie are the only therapists who have been able to work out the terrible knots in my shoulders and back. Avala is also great for medium to deep tissue massage as well as relaxation. They are my favorites so far, but I want to give everyone a try at least once. This place is awesome!

So happy to have Massage Envy Spa in Missoula. The hours fit my schedule. Have had several massages by Kushtahn and have been very pleased with her technique and customer service.I am looking forward to my next massage appointment and a facial ~

I have been getting massages here for years. Very friendly staff and excellent massage therapist. Let the front office staff know what kind of massage tour looking for and they will get you in the therapist that will best meet your requests.

Went to Abby! She was great and loved my 90 minute massage from her. I cant wait to see her again next month. This place is brand new and is the nicest place Ive been in Missoula! LOVE IT!

I got a last-minute weekend event invite, and this was the only place that could fit me in for a facial on such short notice. My esthetician was really nice, $50 is a pretty screamin deal. However, I had some big issues with this place. The whole experience was one long sales pitch, with every product available for sale in the lobby and employees actually following a script--I know because my gal left hers out--extolling the miraculous benefits of every cream and scrub. It was hard to relax with a monologue about fruit enzymes and free radicals going on in my ear.In terms of actual quality, my face does look nice, but I had to go home and do more extractions myself. Also, I noticed I was mis-typed on my client sheet (somebody whose skin peels off in sheets during the winter probably does not have normal skin). All in all, I would say that ME is great if youre looking for something cheap and convenient, but be ready to deflect some serious sales pressure and dont go in there expecting any miracles.

Beautiful place, friendly staff. Loved my massage and loved being pampered by the staff. It was a professional atmosphere yet at the same time relaxed and comfortable. I cant wait to return for more pampering.

This was a gift for my children for Christmas. My only complaint is they didnt ask if I had a coupon or a gift card. So I still have a positive balance there when actually I probably would have had a facial or something to use it up.

A conveniently located spa with great massage therapists. The rooms have dimmed lighting and the massage bed is heated! A nice place to indulge in a relaxing gift to yourself!

Great massage therapists - they really know what they are doing! Also love the subscription... $60/month gets you a free hour massage and $40 hour long massages after that!

This is the best bang for your buck massage option in Missoula, Montana. I have been beyond and pressed every time I have been to Massage Envy. 5 stars.
