Queer rating - 6/10A cool spot for live music and karaoke. I love that its built in an old church. Decently priced drinks, and pleasant staff. I regularly have uncomfortable run ins with male patrons here though. Go with a group!
The honest review.I hope this comment reaches the right people.... I only come here to support friends who are gifted musicians. Would I come any other time? Never. I would rather spend my money at other bars downtown. Ill explain. The building is an old church converted to a bar. No outside patio. It has roughly ten parking stalls, which are always full by band members and staff, so you will have to park on the street. I feel that the only thing holding the business afloat is the $10 cash cover charge and the food. This bar could be super cool if the owner actually invested into the bar and remodeled. It needs fresh paint and a face lift, as it is all old, dirty and run down. This bar had FOUR people staffed on a friday night; the hostess, bartender, cook, and the sound check guy for the music. Literally the bare minimum.They only accept cash at entry. When you go up to order a drink, they have a **$10 minimum purchase with credit cards or else you have to pay with cash**. The drink names on the menu are kind of crude. Each drink is about $8... so it forces you to buy two things if you only have a card. They do not have any non alcoholic options besides water-- Im sure they could likely make something from basic soda options though. I waited for nearly 40 minutes at the bar for my euro. I noticed through the cooks window, she looked a bit grungy, no bra, on her phone and did not wear gloves or any proper cooking attire while I watched her make the food. I then prayed I wouldnt get sick from he scooping lettuce on my plate with her bare hands from the lettuce container.I walked around and found seating upstairs to watch the show. The top seating felt like going upstairs in my parents attic where things go to collect dust. The table was super sticky and felt unsanitary to touch. I noticed an entire separate bar upstairs that was not even in service on a busy Friday night. Why? On the main floor, the bartender would go around bussing tables in between people ordering drinks. No waitress?? I felt bad, the bartender was doing multiple jobs (whoever you are, you need a raise!!).I would be interested if an inspector came by to assess the premises if it would actually pass a health inspection.Pros: Live music with new/upcoming local bands, flavorful Greek food, drinks are well priced, friendly staff.Cons: Understaffed, cash based, place has never seen an upgrade, long wait times at the bar, facility has questionable cleanliness, dirty tables, food takes a long time to serve, no waitress.When you think of dive bar, this is it.
I’m a frequent local musician ever farms here. I have no idea why they threw me out today for spending time with my friend my friend Mad Mike . We’re both just too Latino boys having a good time enjoying our evening audacity throws up wrong “we were too loud.” We’re just friends every time
This would be a great place for those who enjoy a more chill, relaxed, local bar. Most of the regulars are adults who know each other, especially in the live band room.I did see more than one food service violation when attending the bar, which made me feel a little gross about drinking there. Theres a bit of a lingering unpleasant smell, and the place is a bit dated. The bathrooms dont have as much privacy or space as id like.I did try some of the food which tasted good, and looked nicely presented. No one working is ever rude, but they arent super charismatic either.Overall Id rather attend another bar in the area, but I see why this is a comfort spot to others.
This place is awesome. Thursday night is open mic night and some of the people that come to entertain you are very talented. Then there are a few that are in the range of super star. You just need to see for yourselves. The food is good and reasonable. The people are friendly.
Love the stage setup here and the sound guy is on point when it comes to making sure everything is set up right for the bands that play here. Bartenders are friendly too and thats definitely a plus!! Bar/concert hall built in an old church with some standard pub food and a bunch of greek dishes. Four pool tables, a stage for events, and plenty of seating. There was a bit of a funky smell throughout the building, but not enough to spoil anything. Food and drinks were good, service was great.

As a server and bartender I can’t agree with their atmosphere. If you want a dive this is as deep as it gets. The music can be good but that doesn’t make up for the bartending and social atmosphere. If I leave for a cigarette or to get someone from the parking lot and you clear my drinks well go elsewhere
Cool Bar in an old church, staff is amazing, live music an events, karaoke, Great Greek food. Casual anybody and everybody welcome environment.. no cover charge most nights.Midget wrestling a couple times a year and open mic night every week for local artists.
I really love Kamikazes. Its really laid back but not trashy at all. The staff are all awesome and they have great live music, events and even karaoke. My wife and Is favorite local bar.
Never felt compelled to leave a review for a business before until today! Some of the nicest, sweetest people and staff, incredibly friendly and talkative! The sound is great and the audio dude clearly knows what hes doing. Amazing, couldnt recommend enough!

Didnt try any food, but what I saw looked good. We went on a Saturday and they had karaoke!!! It was a blast!! A group if guys sang back street boys!! Hilarious!! A few ladies had absolutely amazing voices!!! They have two bars. One side had a live band!!! The atmosphere was fun and we met a few people!! Will definitely be back for more fun!!
Went early to eat before event. Greek food was delicious! Fries were good! Wings sucked!! Yikes! Bartenders/waitresses were slow between stops on the karaoke side but still got things in a timely enough manner.
One of the only bars to prove to be a safe place. No gangs, guns, or drama. And the staff are amazing. Also some really good greek food. And if you wanted to see an amazing show on the weekend this is the place to go.
Great place to catch up and coming artists. Kamikazes has been supporting local music for 30 years. The food is good, the beer is cold, and the music is great.

This is a bar where the food is awesome. We had the souvlaki meals which came with the salad, lemon rice and pita. Highly recommend.

This is a decent venue, Ive performed here a few times and have always been treated well. The staff is good to work with and polite. The crowd is typical, the food is good and the beer is always flowing. Nothing negative about this place, but not super memorable either.

I actually went to Kamikazes to sing karaoke! My experience was awesome. I went on a Saturday night. The vibe there was really cool...positive, upbeat, fun. Ive been a couple of times since, and have seen different bands with varying styles, all great. Powerful vocalists, incredible musicians. I enjoyed myself some hippie time the other night. It didnt matter what Gen you were from...everyone was the same in that room. No one cared to judge, utter acceptance. People literally danced as if no one was watching. Being in that room was liberating. One room has a band. Karaoke is held in a different room with pool tables. I paid $5.00 cover for one band, $10 for the other... just depends. The sound quality for karaoke is excellent. Ive not yet tasted their food, but cant wait to do so. Its one of my new faves to go to let my hair down, make friends, hang out with known friends, and be 100% me. Go.
Went for a cancer fundraiser. $10 cover charge. Lots of bands. Very laid back atmosphere. Pool tables and karaoke. Not sure how it is most nights. Seems to have a hard rock vibe🎸😄💕
Good food, the Chicken Souvlaki is excellent. Good live music, we saw Against the Fire and Necropsy, both bands killed it. Good customer service, the bartenders are personable and friendly.

Saturday night...this is THE spot! Live bands on one side, karaoke on the other..... the bartenders are super nice, extremely attentive, and always have a smile (and a drink) for ya.

I really like the karaoke and their Dj is great. They do have karaoke on Wednesday at nine if you were wondering it is not visible except if you call. Just a great bunch of staff and the crowd is a great mix of people but be ready for country music which I love anyway. Try it you will like the crowd and the old church building remolded is great.
One of O-Towns classic music venues. Features live music as well as a lounge. A good selection of libations and fantastic food. You can great area talent or dabble in karaoke.Pretty safe place, expect a great time.

I am a DJ and work with these guys once a year or so. However this place is cool! They are fair with their ID requirements. They have clean restrooms. Pretty girls and lots of beer! They have Karaoke on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. If you want a fun place to go for beer and GOOD food, you want to go to Kamikazes!
One of the last few bars in Ogden to go see live bands pretty much every weekend. They have a full bar and kitchen that serves a full menu, but my favorite is the $5 Souvlaki plate on Thursdays starting at 5pm until they run out. Love the dancing and fun atmosphere this place has along with great music, staff and friends.
Though I have eliminated alcoholic consumption, I accompanied my son here for a glimpse of his karaoke fun. It was great to watch him have some fun, but its difficult to enjoy the experience of the bar. However my opinion of the activities found there is favorable.
This is a great place to relax and hear live music, sing karaoke, or play some games of pool. The bartenders are always welcoming and fast, the food is great (chicken souvlaki is incredible), the atmosphere is laid-back, and the place is big enough that even when its crowded there is still room enough that youre not bumping elbows with everyone constantly.
The food is delicious. Our bartender was Brittany and it was only her 3rd day on the job and she killed it. It was super busy for a Thursday night and I was just amazed on how well she did

Havent been there for years. Use to have a dance area and an overlooking balcony of the stage. It was a Saturday night and some band called The Black Shirts was performing with a turn table and a Man strutting back and forth. The only woman was the bartender. If youre looking for a testosterone filled atmosphere, this is your place. I like some women about personally.
This is the 2nd time that I have performed at this revenue and it really reminds me of the house of blues as far as athmosphere... The waitress was just as nice this time as the last. Overall great place with double bar pool and karaoke... I like it.
Let me start it like 24st and adams. Dam i dont like that location. Dont judge a book by the cover. me and my sexy wife went to the bar for the first time. Trust me it was a good thing that her co worker invited. People are cool and friendly. I thought it was going to be crazy. The food 100 the vibes was just right. The prices i can say we wasted 30 bucks and dam we enjoyed leaving our kids home for the night. Good luck to yall maybe we will see yall there sometime .(:

Ive seen L.A. Guns here and a few other shows, what a beautiful venue, its an old church. And they serve Greek food. Really cool set up, was in a mosh pit in there once also, really fun
Great neighborhood bar, feels like the show cheers in there, everyone recognizes me, owner is super friendly, decor is a little dated but its never dirty there. Get my drink within minutes, always watch my back, accommodating.
Alcohol was cheap, they make you pay $5 to get in, but they dont have a card reader?? So its $8 because their atm charges $3. Atmosphere was nice, music was whack when I went.
I have one complaint about this place the sounds is terrible they turn it up way way to loud.... dont get me wrong, i love loud music but this is just terrible other than that this place is amazing and could be one of the best places to see live music in the state if they could just get there sound figured out hope to see them do that because i would love to come and see more bands

Karaoke and on Saturdays live music on one side of the building, attentive bartenders, billiards tables, its a place where everyone fits in.
Was a busy night drinks came fast but the food we ordered took 30 mins til we were able to order because the bar tender couldnt take our order and 45 mins to get to us. instead of going in order the cook decided to cook quick things first or so we were told. But as a concert venue one of the best ive ever been too and Ive been hitting large and small concert venues for 15 years now. For being such an intimate venue they do get some big names.
Venue is too small for a band to play and it sound very good. The room just throws the sound right back and you have too much reverb and noise. They could consider putting in some sound deadeners on the ceiling and back wall to help remedy this but I doubt they will. Also the crowd that comes here seems to always be glaring and almost looking for a fight. Cool building though.

Worst bartender and manager Ive ever encountered in a bar establishment. Me and my fiance ordered two lemon drops one for each of us. I finished my first and gave it directly back to the bartender. Afterwards I helped my fiance finsh his cocktail. I went to order another round and was informed the server was in trouble by managment by letting me help my fiance finish his drink after I was finished. I than started a tab I asked to order two more shots and said i would finish the first before I was.given the second. I took my shot gave my glass to the bartender and took my second shot. The manager proceeded to tell me it was illegal to have two shots back to back even if the first was finished completely and I was not in possession of two shots at the same time. I was completely blown away by the lack of knowledge they have serving liquor in Utah. I am a certified bartender and have had my tips and sips certification for over 8 years in utah. I was charged a 20 dollar tip after being completely harassed by the staff. When I had signed a 0 dollar tip on my receipt. We tried calling after we had left the bar to speak to managment and he claimed we were threatening him and said he would show us how hostile he could be if we were to reported him. Ive never had management show such vulgar communication while dealing with a upset customer. My fiance called back for for me and the manager proceeded to threaten him andshow hostility. I will definitely be reporting this to the authorities for harassment, discrimination and check fraud. If I leave a 0 dollar tip its completely illegal to charge gratuity or add extra drinks to a upset customers tab. Make sure to check what they are charging you for and pay in cash so you dont get taken advantage of for bringing up a concern to the direct manager. Im happy we left before bringing up the dispute on our tabs. It seems the manager has no customer service experience. Ive never been cussed at and threatened in my life by any manager.
