OMG! The best massage I have had in this area! Miss Susan listened to my needs, spent extra time because she thought I needed it, was extremely accommodating, and I can tell she cares deeply about others and what she does. She is intuitive and uses her own techniques to maximize the experience. I also love the oils she used when massaging my body and face. I would give her 10 stars if I could! ⭐️

Great experience! Small intimate setting was perfect for my spa day from my husband. Relaxing hot stone massage, facial and body scrub. I had never gotten a professional microdermabrasion, but the results from it and the peel helped the 1 between my eyes to relax. Great food board for long day at the spa, only suggestion there is more of the same crackers you had for me to dip as much of your Great chicken salad and a bit of dark chocolate or fruit jam with some salty meat. Lovely experience and you wont regret going.

My cousin and I visited Susan yesterday. We had just come into town and she fit us in last minute! I wanted to wait and review to make sure my comments weren’t only because of euphoria;)! We would say the hot stone massages were wonderful and relaxing.. a day later and we are still feeling so good. We also had facials. I felt that Susan was very knowledgeable of our skin needs and generous with her time and products. Our faces are still glowing! Thank you Susan!! Would definitely recommend! -Dana & Hope~

5+ STARTS! I was expecting a facial - what I got was much more. Susan is passionate, knowledgeable and thoughtful. During my first visit, Susan took the time to understand why I was there, offer professional advice and ensure that I had a relaxing experience. She has clearly done her research and believes in helping others. The space is clean and her thoughtful approach to well-sourced products and methods is unique and special. I wish there were more people like Susan in this industry.

5 Stars doesn’t do this Spa justice. I live in St.Augustine and plan to do all of my future spa treatments here! I was completely at ease and enjoyed being educated on each of the services I was receiving, as well as how to best maintain the results once I left. The young gentleman at check in/out was kind and professional which are 2 qualities missed in today’s world. I can’t wait to return with my daughter so she can get a heads start on proper self-care. Thank you again for going beyond my expectations.

My husband and I had massages and used the infrared sauna at Athena Spa by the Sea! We had a fantastic experience! Susan Cokley (owner) was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her work! Her facility smelled amazing and was very clean and inviting. She also specializes in her her own skincare line. I would highly recommend Athena Spa and would definitely return!

Went in for a couples massage as a birthday gift and I must say we enjoyed every second..felt like a brand new person and my Fiance agrees..massage was very relaxing 10 minutes in and he was asleep……our experience at Athena’s was absolutely amazing and we will be returning I would definitely recommend to a friend

I got an amazing facial where I not only came out feeling great but learned a lot from Susan, who shares her knowledge and I can tell how much she loves it! I would highly recommend to anyone and I can’t wait to have a spa party soon!!

I brought my fiancé here to get a facial for her birthday and to say it was great is an understatement. The next day we went back and got a couples massage. Both experiences blew our expectations out of the water! I chose Athena’s Spa By The Sea because of the reviews, so naturally I will leave a review myself. From the moment you walk in the door of this establishment, you’re met with an energy of pure zen. From the ambiance to the warm & welcoming decor. You feel safe & comfortable there. You will be greeted by the owner operator Ms. Susan, and she is amazing! She is very knowledgeable, and she is very compassionate about her work, I mean you can truly tell that she loves what she’s doing and isn’t just in it for the money. We left this experience with a wealth of knowledge, very satisfied muscles, and a desire to go back as soon as we can.

I have seen Susan multiple times for facials and she is the best! She is very knowledgeable and takes her time with each client. I will drive up from Jacksonville just to see her and can definitely tell a difference in my skin’s health when I do. Definitely recommend!

I had heard about Susan and how amazing her treatments were from several friends. After having many deep tissue and various massage treatments in Atlanta and spas (Canyon Ranch, Grove Park Inn, Peninsula, etc…) and due to lower back pain and tightness in my neck and shoulders - I was a skeptic at first.Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! I’m not a fru-fru gal. I didn’t even have to explain my issues- Susan is a miracle-worker- the BEST therapeutic, feel good massage treatment I have EVER had - hands -down! Pun intended.I floated off the table. My husband and I visited Athena Spa by the Sea for our 22nd anniversary and it was amazing! Susan went out of her way to ensure our day was extra special. We were greeted with a charcuterie board to include amazing homemade chicken salad and pimento cheese (so good) and champagne! The spa services were some of the best we have experienced we even stayed for a mini facial and sauna time! She also provided education and tools to help treat my son’s skin. I highly recommend experiencing this spa should you have the opportunity!

My sweet husband surprised me with a spa day bought and paid for. He gave me a sweet card with the address and time of appointment and sent me on my way for the surprise he had for me. To start with communication was amazing at setting up my appt. When I arrived the setting is so relaxing and hot tea is offered. I had the best massage and facial I have ever had in my life. Ms Susan made the experience so enjoyable, from choosing my favorite essential oils, to the worderful conversations, and my brows... Look amazing. She explained everything she was going to do and the benefits of doing it. I highly recommend and will be returning soon.

As a longtime client of Susan’s, I can’t say enough great things about her. She makes her own proprietary blends customized to each person’s need for skincare. One of my favorite products of hers is the 24 carrot barrier repair oil. It consists of 24 organic cold pressed rare oils and it feels AMAZING on the skin! Susan is truly a gem and I highly recommend her for all of your skincare needs. Her facials and massages are a true treat to yourself!!

Grateful is the word to start with! I was visiting St. Simons Island, wanted to just relax and enjoy my stay. Decided to get a message, called several places and they were slammed. So..I said..Lord send me to the right phone number for the right place..Athena Spa by the Sea was the one that was picked for me. I called, spoke with Susan, the owner, explained that I had a lunch appt. At 11:30 and that I could only come at nine. She did not open until 10:00 and was already full. BUT..she so graciously called me and said that she would open early for me..that she did..one of the greatest experiences that I have had.I am a firm believer that this is where I was to go..my time with Susan and her professionalism was far beyond what anyone could expect! I will always be thankful that she took the time to work me in. One of the greatest massages and reflexology that I have had the blessing to receive. We flew in for vacation from Texas and Tn. My wife and sister-in-law scheduled a facial and message each, 3 weeks in advance The aesthetician showed up 15 min late and after another 15 min decided to leave because they could not accommodate them! Very sub-standard service!! But, I must say that the island itself is one of the most beautiful places we’ve been! Just maybe tighten up the spa!

Went in for waxing, she did not disappoint. She was very detailed orientated and precise . A bit pricey but what place on St. Simons isn’t . She is very personable and treats each person like a sister or friend.
