I recommend not to go. They robbed me . They dont tell you that you use your card its a 3% from the total. They just circle it thinking that we are going to see that. Never I ever waste so much for myself 90 something. So I said ok whatever. Then I checked my account, and they charged me more after I paid. Beer was not cold. Food no favor. Please careful I highly recommend not to go. I want my money back.

Ordered Tamarind Margarita -- fabulous! Highly recommend if youre a margarita fan.Service was fabulous and the restaurant was very clean.My husband and I split the California Burger and it was more than enough for the both of us. Guacamole on the burger was fantastic.The tables next to us ordered a tostada and the enchiladas -- they look tasty as well.

Never again. A club sandwich and about 10 fries was $24.70 each. You can get a club sandwich meal at Tom’s or yellow backpack much bigger for $16. Then they added $11.00 to the tip automatically. It was only 2 of us. Hell no!!

We were staying at a hotel nearby. Decided to walk over there for dinner...myself and 2 kiddos. Looks like they were doing some remodeling inside since they had a ladder out and that side of restaurant was empty. We were seated right away. Our waiter was decent but very slow with coming back to table. Place was not that busy. It was our first time at this restaurant. We ordered our drinks and asked for another minute to make final selections on dinner. Took like 10 mins to come back. Food took about normal time to come out. My daughter ended up getting no chili on her chili cheese hotdog. He came by twice to check on us while I had food in my mouth. Took another 10 mins it felt like to get box for food. Then bill got dropped off and then like another 10 mins for him to come back to get it. 3% surcharge to pay by card. Food was alright. I ordered the burger and ate about half, started feeling weird (maybe too greasy or it may have been due to the smell of the lettuce on the burger). Place was just alright.

Its been a long time since I been in the spoons but I work close to Santa Ana location so I tried it today went in around lunch time order the chicken fajitas on the lunch special and a Coors Light few problems one the bartender charges me the regular price for the fajitas but then would only take $5 off to correct it then they charge it almost $10 for a large Coors Light which is high by bar standards but my main problem was when the bill came this place has the nerve to charge what they call a surcharge on card payments basically theyre charging you to use your debit card to pay them for the mail you just had I have a major problem with that how you going to charge customers to use their debit cards or credit cards or whatever based on that alone Im not coming back even though the food was pretty good

I love a good plate of beef fajitas and this place does a good job of it. The waitress was really on top of it with great service. The only thing I did not enjoy as much was how brightly lit the restaurant was.

The people I ate with were happy with their meal. Maybe I just made a bad choice. Mine was quite horrible. But the server was nice, so it kind of made up for it.The manager seemed stressed.

Traveling through southern Cali, I stopped at a hotel and this bar/grill was next to it. What a great surprise.The food was excellent. I had chips, queso and salsa for appetizer. Came out hot and very good. I had the fajitas with steak and shrimp for my main entree. It came with lots of steak, shrimp, grilled veggies, rice, beans and tortillas. The food was sizzling hot and stayed cooking on the cast iron plate it was delivered to my table on. I often am underwhelmed with fajitas at many restaurants, but this little place really hit a homerun with their treatment of this dish. I was delighted and left full.The staff likewise was fast, efficient and gracious. They constantly checked on my drink and the food came out in quick order. The pricing was reasonable for the top end dish I ordered. If I stay in the area again, I will certainly return. While I dont normally recommend bar and grills for mexican food, I thoroughly enjoyed this fajita dinner. Enough for two.Great stuff.

NOT ONLY THAT THE WAITRESSES VAPING LIKE NOTHING--EVEN PEOPLE IN CLUB-WE WERE ABOUT TO LEAVE AND WE WERE BLOCKED IN UNTIL WE PAID 10.00 FOR EACH CAR, THEY DO NOT DISLCOSE WHILE YOU ARE HAVING DINNER, OFC NOT ANYTHING FOR A BUCK I HATED IT AND NEVER AGAIN!

Food was good but way over priced. But were from Texas...all seems so expensive.

A great find. My steak was done right, the servers efficient and friendly, and a great open atmosphere. We had a meeting in the back room area, which is perfect for events.

So thankful this place was around the corner from our hotel and we didnt have to get in the car to drive somewhere else . Convenient location, good selection and kind staff. 👌

The Baja fish tacos were very good, the chicken tenders were juicy and tender, and the chicken penne tequila was good too. Service was great as well. If we lived closer I would definitely have this place as a go-to restaurant.

We definitely should have paid attention to the 3 stars that this place has. Over priced for low quality food. The pic posted cost $23 for a burrito that was no bigger then 5” long. Super simple order rice, beans, asada, cheese and sour cream. It was the plainest burrito I’ve ever had. We ordered nachos and added chicken for an additional $7 and the chicken was scarce. My son ordered the Philly CHEESEsteak sandwich and the waitress charged us for cheese? Our total bill was $97 for 2 adults 2 children. So not worth it and would not return.🤮 as soon as the waitress heard that we were not satisfied with our food or bill she stopped serving our table, rude.

Ordered a smothered chicken burrito.Only thing full service was the price.I opened the burrito after several chicken-less bites to see if it was completely chicken free. It had so few pieces of chicken, I lined them up on the plate for a photo. Does that look like a great stuffed chicken burrito to you? Not me.After a very long wait the staff arrived and offered a half hearted inquiry, as to if anything was wrong with the meal. I asked if it was normal to have such a small amount of meat in the burrito, he thought so, but wanted to know if it was alright?A bland flavoured rice burrito for $10 and he wants to know if its ok? The food situation explains the rest of the restaurant package.I shouldnt have ignored the warning signs, but hunger and a desire to give the place a chance were ignored and this is the result. Stay away and save the experience, you have been warned.

I got the steak street tacos and they were real good. Also a 5 minute walk from several hotels nearby.

We had a great meal here, the food was tasty, fresh, and pleasingly served. The wait staff was polite, made sure we got what we requested, and helpful. We think the price of the food was quite reasonable considering the quality and the amount of food we were served. It was far more reasonable than the fast food we were served the day before at another nearby place.

Came for an event and the amount of food and the quality was okay nothing special. Ordered the fish fillet basically something taken from the frozen section triangle fish dipped in batter Frozen and they need to fry it there on site same with the french fries nothing special

After a long day of work and travel this was the perfect ending! The Margaritas were good and the spicy chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce hit the spot:) Service was excellent and great music 🎼

Spectacular customer service, delicious food, and their homemade fried banana dessert is a must have. Definitely a gem. I highly reccomend coming. Come for good drinks, food, they even have live bands. Good location right off the freeway.

Me and my wife staying down the street from this place for a few nights and went here for dinner and man this place did not let down or server Gil was absolutely amazing the food was on point threw the entire meal we opened up with drinks I had the bullet mule and wife had the jalapeño mago margarita both super tasty and the chips are all homemade like the salsa we enjoyed them very much and then for dinner I had the ribeye and she had shrimp cocktail and ceviche with albondigas soup my steak was perfect did not need steak sauce it was so good vegetable cooked to perfection and my wife said that the flavors on all the food she was served was next level for the price we couldnt be happier definitely Check this spot out you will not be disappointed

We went here on 7/20/2023, food was good. Our waitress was super nice and friendly she took great care of us. The cocktails need a little help. we had a tequila sunrise and Paloma. Where you can not taste the liquor.

My friend Desiree and I were in the mood for some Happy Hour goodies unfortunately Spoons did not offered a happy hour on a Friday night, so we went for some appetizers which were a little pricey so if you taking your friend on a casual HH time this is not going to be the place if you want to stay within your budget, in the other hand food and drinks were good and tasty, we ended up getting more food than we can chew on it. About the place on a Friday night 7ish it had a good environment and atmosphere they offered inside and outside seating which was very good actually excellent perhaps its been a long time since covid hit the US that I didnt enjoy such a pleasant atmosphere, servers were attempt and courteous, food didnt take too long to get served, it was hot and tasty aside from been pricey but we enjoyed it!If you are not in a budget this place its just perfect to take a date and have a pleasant dinner, they have social distance in place and the requirement of wearing a mask when you enter, I just didnt see no one enforcing it as every one was enjoying they food and drinks, we ordered Calamari, buffalo wings., and fish tacos even they were good the way in which they serves it didnt look as good as in their menu pictures. Calamari was real good, buffalo wings were good. Drinks I had the Long Island Ice Tea and my friend had a Paloma it look like a margarita in the rocks and it tasted like a lemonade with tequila in it, so I gave this place a 3.5 stars based in their overall pricing, food is a 3.7 stars and drinks a 4.5 stars. Now an image can tell more than a thousand words .

Our hotel was nearby, and we ended up coming here every day. The food was excellent, and the service was even better. Jackie was super accommodating and friendly. Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays nights are really happening with live Mexican music and some good dancing.

Service is ok. I order the trio fajitas I wouldnt order them again there spicy. The sad part is they put your rice,beans in the same skillet wich makes the beans all dry and stick to the skillet same as the rice. To little beans and rice for the price of $24.00.

Went last night. Wont ever go here again. My friend ordered enchilada red sauce. Got green. He didnt complain. Food was... decent. Fine is how we decided to explain it. The bbq chicken quesadilla is HORRIBLE do not get it. Cold unflavored chicken with room temp bbq sauce, tastes worse than Kraft and a LOT of it. All you can taste. And small amount of cheese. Tortilla is fine. After we ate and had been done for awhile. I started turning around and standing up looking for our waiter. For about 20 min. I got my own to go boxes from behind the hostess desk. I didnt even realize until my husband went to the bar to get our check that our waiter was actually standing there the whole time with me standing and looking around for him, I had met eyes with him once and was thinking is that him? Couldnt tell I guess because we only saw him briefly. He saw me looking for someone and did nothing. He was nice, so Im not sure why he was doing that.So we got:our own boxesour own checkCold foodWrong foodAnd spent over 80$Im so mad my husband tipped him at all, I told him not to, I was already upset at paying that much.

I wasnt too happy with this place. I ordered a drink and they didnt have lemons which are cital to the flavor of the drink I ordered so they gave me a lime and still charged me full price. Then they wouldnt allow me to order a lunch special to go. The specials were only for eating there. So I ordered the special took a bite and asked for anyone go container.😋

This place is wonderful! It’s a little hidden away but when you find it, you’ll never want to leave again. Their food is absolutely delicious. I got the shrimp skewers. It comes on a large plate with rice, steamed vegetables, bread, and the delicious but her that they provide with it. We also ordered the banana chocolate wrapped taco with ice cream on top. So so good !!! And lluvia the bartender serve the best mixed drinks !

A Nice little restaurant near the 55 Freeway. They are mostly a Bar and Night Dancing club (huge dance floor). The dinner menu wasnt the biggest, but the food was cooked well. There was only 1 waiter working the entire place, so service was very slow. But with only 1 person that is expected.

Great place for good Mexican food. I’ve had better, but good food is good food. It was a little dead for a early lunch but this is at the end of a pandemic with restrictions finally being lifted like the plurality of other states. Staff was attentive and rolled with our joking around.

Well, as my son put it, this place appears to be where hope goes to die after getting a divorce. Spoons was always a favorite place but man has it changed. Havent been to Spoons in years. My son and his girlfriend asked us to join them for dinner and since we were fans, we went. The menu has changed over the years and I was sad to see they got rid of their mushroom burger. It was my sole reason for going haha. Including our table, there was literally 4 other tables being occupied by diners. Youd think with only 5 tables and about a dozen employees working, wed get better service than we did. Sat for 15-20 waiting to order. Food came out quicker than expected which was nice since we were starving haha. Waited another 20 or so minutes to get our check. Food was good, service was ok and atmosphere was meh. I remember when Spoons was the hang out spot for drinks and trivia. Now, its like a ghost town. How they manage to stay in business is a shock but glad theyre still around. Cant say well be going again anytime soon but nice to know we can visit every few years and itll still around haha.

Signature California Burger was terrible. Management dislikes criticism. Behaved immature. Looks good. Priced fairly. Hotel next door will not help forever. Up your game or 2 yrs be out of business. My opinion of course.

Very good service. The tortilla soup is excellent. My husband ordered fish tacos and they were not spicy but very tasty. Kids ordered a spicy shrimp dish with steamed broccoli cooked to perfection and a burrito. It really is a worthy place to stop and dine. Im not from this area and I wish we had this restaurant in our town.

Good food/good beer! Nice TVs in the bar area. Booths in the bar area are cozy I felt comfy dining alone. Great atmosphere. They even have an outside lounge area. Enchiladas are real good! Service Excellent - Pleasant wait staff. Location very close to freeway. Easy access. Food absolutely great. We had combination Fajitas (Steak, Shrimp and Chicken). Platter was huge. Meat was well-seasoned and very tasty. Very well-cooked and seasoned Veggies. Beans, Rice, Sour Cream, Lettuce and wonderful Guacamole. Definitely worth a visit.

Used to have one of these restaurants back in the day in my home town. Drove past this location a few times. Glad I stopped in and tried it. The staff was really good and the food and drinks were well above expectations. Food was hot and good portions. The drinks were good without being too strong. I will be back!!

Came in on a Saturday around noon, seemed like they werent quite ready for customers. Place looks a bit old/run down. Got seated fast, staff was friendly. Ordered the California burger with fries. The burger was excellent, cooked perfectly and tasted great. The fries were nothing exciting. Would definitely come back based on the California burger.

Went to a dance they were having during the night and they kicked me out of my table because we refused to consume $30 of alcohol per person. Why would they do this? I consumed food (which tasted bad) and other non-alcoholic beverages , never coming back here again

I came here with a friend, it had been 20+ years since I had been. We were looking for the nostalgic experience, which was not there.As it turns out the chain went bankrupt and so this location kept the logo, but the restaurant is nothing like it used to be.The menu is Mexican rather than Tex-Mex, the food was decent.I cannot think that I would return. They did not do anything that improves the restaurant.

Perfect spot to find a mix of food for everyone. Everything my group had was delicious. Crispy tacos with beans and rice, pasta and shrimp skewers is what we ordered. They also have sandwiches, salads, burgers and steaks. We were the last table of the night and they still made everything fresh. We arent from the area so we werent sure where to eat, found they had good ratings so decided to give it a shot. I probably wont have the chance to eat there again before I go home, but I would definitely go back!

The front desk worker at the hotel I was at recommended this place to get food from. I got a taco trio (mainly because I couldnt decide what I wanted) and was blown away by the flavors. It was absolutely delicious and the margarita was just as great. The cheat code is to go during happy hour to get the most bang for your buck.

Its was so so. The food was made correctly. Got the burger with guac, wasnt the most delicious thing Ive eaten. Good the next day though microwaved. Menu is deceptively limited. It looks like they offer a lot, but they have two burger choices...this is a bar and grill?

We love Spoons! Their chips and queso, enchiladas and hamburgers are really, really good! Easy to get to off the 55 and Dyer Rd. Staff is friendly and courteous. If you live in the area or are passing through, I highly recommend them!

Great food, great service. The salsa is fantastic, btw.Party of 7, everybody had something different, and it was all good.But it was the service that impressed us. Prompt, friendly, and they really went out of our way to make everybody happy, including our kids. Would definitely go back and/or recommend it to anyone.

Food was awesome they have a wide range of food from Mexican to Burgers, sandwiches and Ribs. They have something for everyone. Service was also awesome very friendly and funny. Diffinlety will stop by again when we are in town.

The place isnt up to Orange County standards on the outside, with the beat-up parking lot, old paint, and kinda run down looking, but the food was pretty good.Pops had the classic American burger, cooked to his liking and nice presentation, but the fries were a bit boring and tasted fake, but ok overall. I had the delicious berry salad, with the goat cheese and lots of fresh berries. Its summer time, so it was very fresh, as expected, and it did not disappoint.Service was great and the tvs were all working with the latest sports programing. The 80s rock was nice, not sure Pops liked it, but hes hard of hearing. Thumbs up Spoons!

Very good food and service, with one caveat: The online menu is only a rough guide. The menu at the actual restaurant is a loose subset of the online menu, so I suggest before you get your heart set on a certain selection, call ahead and ask if the item you want is available. If you like to watch sports while you dine, this is a good place to go. I counted no less than 6 TV screens that had 5 different sports events playing. I saw 2 different soccer games, a basketball game, an American football game, and ice hockey, all playing at once. (If, like me, you care little for sports, just learn to ignore the distraction for sake of the others in your party. The food alone is well worth the visit.) I saw one dining room which had several long rectangular tables, some white booths, and decor featuring sheer white curtains. I couldnt help but wonder if a wedding could be held there. It looks like there is room for a small party (small for a wedding, that is) of about 50 guests. I wonder . . .? Anyway, this is a good place to come for good food, maybe watch a game or two, and shoot the breeze with friends. Thumbs up!

I love this place. They have delicious lunch specials that taste great and dont cost a pretty penny. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I would give them 5 stars but they are currently undergoing renovations so the seating is limited right now but once it is done, I cant wait to go back!!

Medium quality restaurant, you can find hamburgers and mexican food, good chicken salad. Personally I ate spicy chicken wings, not bad at all. Not expensive, I think you can try it if you are around the area. Green light 🚦

The food was great. Very good mix of dishes and some things you dont expect to see together. Definitely offer the Shrimp Cocktail with Ceviche Tostada. Its so Good I went back 2 nights in a row for it.

Stopped in on Saturday early evening, had chicken wings that were fantastic and shrimp street tacos, excellent. Sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and professional. Would recommend. They were getting ready for a band at 10pm, the place is big.

Seems like a fun atmosphere. I was there just for a drink on a Saturday and didnt realize this place turns into a nightclub after dinner hours. Even though they were setting up for the night crowd (e.g. clearing tables, moving furniture, setting up for the dj, etc.), my friend and I were let in to get a drink at the bar. We thought that was nice of them. The tables, chairs and booths are really worn in, which tells me they are used a lot, but they could use a bit of updating. It was dark so it was difficult to see if the place was spotless, but it seemed clean enough. I may visit again if Im in the area, but it may be a while.

I almost didnt eat here because of some negative reviews. Reluctantly, I came here last night. I had beef fajitas and they were great. I decided to come back tonight. I chose the Philly Cheesesteak and its awesome! The service is great. The food is hot and good. Its reasonably priced. Its clean. I really cant figure out where the bad reviews came from. I will definitely be back! Ask for Gil, hes awesome!!! BTW, Im from OKC so not a local.

Just carne for the first time for a bachata salsa night, it was not crowded at all, dancing floor is small but since no people was really there it was just awesome to dance! Lol!I assume drinks would be expensive since a bottle of water was $4 !!! Come on! They were trying to make money from the drinks since the event didnt really bring enough people!The music was actually good, better than other djs. I dont think im coming back for future events even tho the music and crowd was ok. It was a little too lame. But maybe to try the menu. It seems they have good food and great variety.

Let me start off by sayung this place is horrible, starting with management. He was rude and made horrible sarcastic comments to me. And the fact he wasnt able to help me is beyond the point. But to know that they can just easily tipped themselves without our consent isnt okay! A trip is errands based on service and if the service wasnt up to my standards, they dont deserve any. Trying to talk to someone above the horrible A.hole of the manager.He talked about if I wanted to take legal action, to do so and to get myself a lawyer, which was totally uncalled for, because that wasnt my intention to began with. Im disappointed with the costumer service he gave me.

I dont like sports and wouldnt have gone to Spoons if I realized Spoons is a sports bar. That said, the burger was simply fantastic. It was fresh, properly proportioned, reasonably priced, and you can tell the chef really cares. It was so good that I have every intention of becoming a regular.

Service was fast and efficient. The servers were highly attentive. Food was decent. Id go here again if I had the chance.

Friendly family local place. Waitress was nice enough, but made a couple small mistakes. Not sure if she was pre-occupied or just couldnt remember things very well. Other than that, the meal was good and the atmosphere was good.

Worst hamburger Ive ever had. For so called Angus beef this burger had no flavor at all. The plate was garnished with an old wilted orange slice disgusting. Waitress was terrible and wasnt concerned at all just took the orange slices and never came back. the California burger had maybe one slice of bacon broken up on it for $10 give me a break. Would not recommend this place.

Doesnt look like much on outside but, inside is large and spacious. Drinks were good, appetizer were great. Had soup, it was not hot enough. Staff were fast and very friendly!

Great food, good beer selection and they have fun entertainment like live bands, standup comedy and DJs.

Been coming here for years an the pricing is nuts, penne pasta an a beer is $26 the chicken in the pasta tastes rubbery now, am over it!

Average Mexican food. Not bad. The chicken dishes seem processed. The steak dishes are pretty good. The blended mango margaritas are very good. Fun ambience.

Not absolutely the worst of its genre, but approaching it. Very weak margarita. Spanish rice was nearly tasteless. Very limited menu. The burrito with spicy chicken was passable, but not at all spicy. The high point of the plate was actually the pickled jalapeño and carrots on the side. Sauces were good, tasted homemade.

It was within walking distance from the hotel. I had the street tacos which were delicious, and a margarita that was less than impressive. No chips and salsa were offered, which with tacos and margaritas just didnt make sense.

Im from San Diego and I go south of the border quite often, so Im kind of a Mexican food snob. They have the best albondigas soup Ive had in a while. Couldnt have asked for better service. I will be back.

Nothing special. Tired and hungry and tired, so hit the spot. 1st margarita was good, 2nd had too much syrup. Please dont assume customer cant tell difference between 1st and 2nd drink. I have witnessed that game too many times. 7/12/19 update...we tried a 2nd time. Both margaritas are weak. Food was ok, good if starving. Average quality. Chicken meet looked cheap.

I used to.love this place for lunch. Tgis last trip the service was poor. I had to get up and find my own napkins and had to ask for my reciept.Also the chicken wings could have stayed un the oven a little longer. I asked blue cheeds and the brought ranch. Other than that i hear this place is cool

Went to Spoons because of sign showing Happy Hour. Received the happy hour price sort of. Pichers are 48oz not normal 64oz. Picture showed wings with small ranch dip. Got charged extra 50 cents for that. Come on. Dont nickle and dime people. Prices on website menu are so old and new prices are like 30% plus higher.

Well we almost missed out. Im not sure why, since it wasnt busy, bit it took long enough to be greeted at the door for us to almost leave and head to the next resturaunt. This was our last meal for our California adventure. Nonetheless we were seated and I was really expecting to get the same crappy service as I expirienced at other resturaunts on this trip. Our server Eddie, misplaced our order and had to re submit it. Now you probably wonder why I gave it 5 stars. Eddie noticed his mistake, came back apologizing profusely and took full responsibility for his mistake. Which had the food been mediocre, I would have still given 5 stars just because of how Eddie handled his mistake.The food... was as described by others, to die for. I had the California burger. It was awesome and very filling. The salsa while not spicy, was extremly flavorful. When we come back to California, we will be coming here to eat again.

I orderd beef tacos got fish tacos. they were ok it came with rice and beans. anyways beans tasted like raw fish so i did not eat beans. rice doesnt have much flavor.

I ate at Spoons back in January 2020 because I was staying at a hotel across the street. OMG!!! This place had the most delicious food ever. Customer service was also great. I can’t wait to return on July 27th! Loved their food! All I can think about is going back there very soon! Highly recommend!

Spoons was part of my childhood so was excited to go back once again with my husband. We get there and can hear music outside. We walk inside to blaring Mexican music. Security went to find the hostess. We couldnt hear her over the music and when I leaned in to hear what she was saying she told us we had to pay to enter. Um... You want us to pay to enter your restaurant to then have to pay to eat the food yeah no. The 10 minutes we were in there gave mr a headache. Not to mention if we did eat there all the lights were off. Not sure of this is a normal but it was a waste of time and gas.

Ordered a modelo michelada, it was good. My friend and i shared a chips and salsa with guacamole it was delicious and just the right amount.

I came to the area as a tourist. Came by this establishment and was quite surprised. The food was full of flavor and the have a wide selection. The service was great and food came out fast.

My girl and i arrived to our room late. the only place open besides del taco was this bar n grill. first i called and no one answered. i then drove over to them and as i get to the door security ask for my id, i give him my valid over 21 id and another man who appears to be a manager if not owner, he makes a pssfff noise and signals the security guy with the cut throat aka dont let her in. i am a beautiful american indian n hispanic woman with short hair and i feel this place demonstrated extreme racism and disrespect. needless to say if your a beautiful well dressed gay woman you are not allowed here.we dont need your 12$ tacos, ours are much better then your mommas!

As a Ram fan I did not realize this was a Cowboy bar. I was from out of town and needed a place to watch the game within walking distance. Needless to say I left early...lol

Cool atmosphere went on a Saturday night got a table with bottle service. Thought I couldve been treated better then others bought two bottles compared to everyone buying one..
