Caught The Hives here on 8/8/24 and The Observatory made this bucket list experience really special. The staff were great and welcoming, the venue was super clean and nice inside and out. The show itself was amazing, with excellent sound and not a bad angle of the stage in the house. Phenomenal night. Thank you!
I recently went with friends to see Quicksand and Hot Water music play at the Observatory in Santa Ana. Everything went incredibly well. Security, parking, etc were all a breeze and lines werent involved as I showed up just before Quicksand went on at 9pm. The show was amazing! Solid sound and lighting. Getting a drink and some munchies was extremely easy yet still a little pricey. What club isnt these days?!! With open General Admission tickets it was still easy to move around the room and get down in front to take decent pictures.
Great place. Impeccable audio mixing in the main room. Not always as good in the smaller room. Great acts play here, terrific booze selection. Parking situation is weird as hell, but it kinda works. One of my favorite, smaller venues in OC.Update April 2024: each bar in the venue can offer differing drinks, etc so if they dont have what you want at one, try another. Sometimes the Constellation Room is used for merch at bigger shows.
We saw a metal show here and it was amazing! The area the venue is in is clean and safe. We drove out from LA to see the concert because the venue available in town is close to skid row and had pretty mixed reviews. Parking was easy, 10$ cash or card. They also had VIP packages available, which included parking and a seating area inside. The bathrooms were well maintained. I saw lots of people walking around the pizza and large pretzels. We will absolutely be going here again.
Another excellent music venue in the OC! Good sight lines from most angles with the exception of a few pillars obstructing ones view on the ground floor. There is an upper level or balcony with booth style seating. Drink prices are dear. $17 each for draft beer. Perhaps this is part of their dont drink and drive plan?
Visiting the observatory with my friends was an incredibly fun and memorable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning views and the fascinating displays. The staff were knowledgeable and enthusiastic, which added to the excitement of the visit. We started our evening with a tour of the exhibits, learning about the history of astronomy and the various celestial phenomena. The interactive displays were both educational and entertaining, allowing us to engage with the material in a hands-on way.As night fell, we moved to the observation deck where the real magic happened. The telescopes were powerful and provided breathtaking views of the moon, planets, and distant stars. The staff guided us through each celestial body we observed, explaining the details and answering all our questions with patience and expertise. One of the highlights was seeing Saturn and its rings up close – a sight none of us will forget! We also had the opportunity to view some deep-sky objects like star clusters and nebulae, which were simply awe-inspiring.The ambiance of the observatory at night was perfect for stargazing. The clear skies and the tranquility of the surroundings made for a serene and almost otherworldly experience. We even managed to capture some beautiful photos through the telescopes, making the night even more special.Overall, our visit to the observatory was a fantastic blend of fun and education. It was a great way to spend time with friends, exploring the wonders of the universe together. We left with a greater appreciation for the cosmos and a sense of wonder that we’ll carry with us for a long time. If you’re looking for a unique and enjoyable outing, I highly recommend a visit to the observatory!
Ive gone to The Observatory MANY times and it is my go to venue for shows. Tickets are always reasonably priced and The venue itself is amazing.Pay attention to where your concert will be held because there are two rooms at this place and I wont lie, they are both amazing for two different reasons.1st The Constellation Room. This room is a more intimate stage and room to see performances in. There is a bar in it. And Ive been to see many bands here and not only am I right uo against the stage with them, but half of them would jump into the crowd with us and let us perform with them! Additionally they would come into the room afterwards and chill and drink with us for a post performance hangout. It truly is a place I hold some of my most cherished memories.2nd is the Main StageThis is the run of the mill experience and expectation that you expect from a concert experience. Not to say that it lessens anything for it being so vanilla, no it doesnt. It actually makes it quite inviting. I cant explain it in words. Its a feeling. Like a garage or a hangout area where you and a friend would chill and listen to records or play videogames. Its the same feeling. Its comfort. And it music.Overall staff there is amazing. Never had a bad time with anyone.I cant say I got there early enough to ever try out what restaurants they would be hosting beforehand, but Ive only heard good things.Parking is a bit of a trek (1-3 block walk) and is cash only so be prepared for that as well.Overall5/5 StarsIll always be coming here for shows when I can.
Great venue. Looks like its all standing. Can see the artist up close if you arrive early. Parking lot is not that far away. Gets really crowded so be ready to rub some elbows. Saw yaejis show and it was the best connect ever. So glad this venue is around. Driving to Los Angeles is so hard, especially on weekends.Edited as I still like the location of the venue, but their practices for parking are unfortunate. In the past, many concerts had free parking. Then, they changed to $10 parking. Now, they charge $15 unless you pay $10 ahead of time online. This was not spelled out clearly. Terrible practice.
This is an excellent venue. Ive seen many shows here over the years. Parking is easy and reasonable, fairly easy to get thru security and leaving is easy too.
The act they booked was amazing. I thought it would be a stargazing attraction but no, just a venue. Tiny room. Every time they opened the door at the back of the bar, it hissed loudly and became a running joke for the artist and the audience. I had a tequila and beer back for $36 with tip. I would definitely go back for artists of this caliber. I dont think you need the parking package.
I usually go to this venue for concerts and theyre great, but when they hold a festival on their grounds the stages can get really crowded. The 1 Strange Night in OC festival crowd got really packed and rowdy near the end of the festival. Multiple people had their head stepped on and lost a lot of glasses even piercings. The Garden briefly asked if someone was okay then immediately started the next song like it was a transition to the next song. Terrible experience!
Everyone here was wonderful We accidentally brought a flashlight but they had a coach check. The food was actually pretty good and came out quickly and the people at the bar were absolutely amazing and very friendly drinks were great. I love those venue and Ive been here for cannibal corps and VNV Nation both really amazing shows add a wonderful venue
Great sound, great lighting, not a bad place to see in the house. Drinks are great, especially the Observatory Beer by Brewery X. We went to go see Cold Cave and the show was amazing! Can’t wait to go see more shows. The constellation room is great too, smaller, but perfect place to see bands as well. The whole venue is secure and intimate. One of my favorites venues around.
Great Venue for Live music. Tonight we experienced Mammoth - Wolfgang Van Halens band. They rocked the house. The Observatory has 2 individual stages at this location, you could literally watch 2 different styles of music by taking a shirt walk down the hall. Most of this is General Admission and standing room only. They do have areas that youre able to pay for seats and a table for additional fees. They Have multiple bar areas for drinks, beer, wine, well drinks, sodas and water all available.Parking costs as much as a ticket, but you may be able to have less expensive or free parking offsite, but do your homework first before you do anything like that so you dont come back to an empty parking space because you were towed... lol
Love this place. The staff is always great. Parking is available, but not always super close. You can pay more to park closer. I dont mind walking a bit to save money. It has been a few years...but Make the Music Go Bang! Festival there was GREAT!!! Sadly, the last chance I got to see the Buzzcocks. Very enjoyable venue overall.
Solid place to see a show outside of L.A. Smaller venue, but there is a lot of room throughout the venue. Staff is friendly, easy to get food and drinks, so made for an easy going night. All ages as well 👍🏼Sound was a little off on this night, wanted to hear the vocals much better, but they were really washed out, and given I was there for the singer, was a little bummed. Overall, sound mix forgiven, the band sounded great and it was well worth it to see Gary Numan put on an amazing performance at the Observatory vs the Fonda Theater in Hollywood!
This is a great venue. Even though the show is as sold out it didn’t feel crowded. It was easy to get there and find parking as well as leave. If you live in OC it’s very convenient to see a show here and not have to drive to LA.
I havent been to this location in years, not much has changed. The restrooms are clean, simple layout and easy to get around. Basic, clean and safe. I attended end of April 2019 for tech9 and had a great time! Drinks were somewhere around 10 for a draft domestic beer, I guess for security reasons they dont give out bottles. I felt safe, show was great, everything orderly, parking was $10 and it was easy to find parking with a short walk to venue.
Great venue, just wish the parking was better. Besides that, a lot of great artists come through and there are no bad places to stand to view the show.
Hands down my favorite venue of all time. The venue is less than 20 miles away from me so its easy to get to. The best thing about The Observatory is the artist selection, they book some of my favorite artist so I come here pretty often. You will have a different experience every time, depending on what room the band is playing at and what equipment the band brings with them. The more mainstream artist bring their own lights and decorations so it makes the experience better. Most artist play at the Observatory room but there is also the constellation room right next to it. During music festivals like Burgerama and Beach Goth there are usually three stages, both inside and outside. The sound here sounds pretty clear and since the venue is not that big seeing bands play here feels very intimate. If you get to the show early you will probably get to stand 5 feet away from the artist. The parking here varies depending on who is playing. Sometimes you can park for free, sometimes $10 and sometimes it can reach $25 (which is ridiculous). The only thing I hate about the Observatory is how hot it gets, it makes the place feel dirtier. I dont recommend that anyone take a sweater because youre just going to want to toss it in a trash can (even during winter). I also recommend that you eat and drink a lot before a show because they overprice everything. No one likes paying more than $2 for a bottle of water.
Ok, sorry, but we hated this venue. Its standing only, which meant my gf couldnt see anything. I imagine most of the women in there couldnt either. So unless youre 63 like me, dont bother. The acoustics were horrible too. Sorry, I generally dont post a bad review but you need to know what youre getting into if you buy a ticket here. I think this used to be the old Harlequin Dinner Theater and it hasnt really been updated since the 80s. Wow.
Ive gone to The Observatory MANY times and it is my go to venue for shows. Tickets are always reasonably priced and The venue itself is amazing.Great venue with easy parking. Tiered floor sonics easy to see the band. Also liked that there is a lot of AC.Saw Drab Majesty tonight (always awesome). This venue is worth the drive!
A pretty small venue, but since its close and convenient the experience was not bad at all. If the place is sold out remember you will be bumping into people all night. They have a large bar area which is good, consider arriving early to avoid running into minor traffic. They have some high profile artists play here sometimes. A couple of the green rooms were nice and had clean bathrooms with a shower and such. The VIP tables and couches were not bad and at least gave us separation to dance with our group. The venue feels a little more personal becomes it is very close to the stage which is a good thing. The bar staff were friendly considering they are serving a ton of people. I was here for new years. Yes it was sold out.
Cool intimate venue, but the sound from the large stage bleeds over into the smaller stage. Also parking is advertised as $10 on their website, but when we arrived it turned out to be $30 at the venue, or $15 to park at a remote lot (5 min walk away).
Bands were great, music was good, bartenders made STRONG drinks.... but the crowd sucked. Seriously pathetic energy. Saw the Hu, Nerv and Blind Channel openers.... embarrassing passive crowd. Better concerts in Canada. Do better, Cali. Only thing that saved the night were the ridiculously strong vodka and sodas.
I love coming to this place. Both concerts I have been too have been amazing. The staff are so welcoming. I felt safe They pat you down to make sure that no one takes anything they shouldnt. I love it its always clean and the security pulls out anyone that starts to get out of control over all its a cool place to come and chill.
Constantly, consistently baffled as to how this place has been rated so high for so long and Ive been coming here since the 90s.Once LiveNation took over, the prices for everything went through the roof, so plan accordingly. The parking lot is now rarely used as a parking lot and mostly used as a place for security to yell that youre standing somewhere that you shouldnt be, moments after you were told it was okay to be there.Once it changed from The Galaxy to The Observatory, intimate dining tables changed from a fun, small scale experience to a VIP treatment only, so I hope youre ready to shell out premium dollars for frozen, Costco food.Back to security, I have never met a more unpleasant, rude, horrible group than the ones here. I understand security isnt your friend--theyre there to provide, you know, security. The guards working at this place take the 1% power theyre given, let it go to their heads, and heavy breathe about it every single moment theyre alive. Do what they ask? Get swarmed, get told that youre wrong. Wander slightly near a door because youre leaving? Get told you cant use the door (its an exit, other people have used it.) Stand in place for more than 3 seconds? Get told that you cant just stand, its a security station (its a literal blank space with nothing there.)Tonight was the straw. Over 20 years of patronage and Im done.
This place is perfect if you just want to go to a concert without the concert crowd... The staff was amazing... I was having troubles bringing up my online tickets... The staff helped me out no problem... The drinks were just a little pricey but that was nothing compared to the positive experience I had here... The bathrooms are clean and convenient... Parking was great no problems... Yes I would go back here time and time again...
The main stage is great for getting up close to performances! VERY INEXPENSIVE SHOW TICKETS! Smaller stages are also pretty close but audience space is limited.Parking is sometimes very limited depending on the show - I have had to park over a mile away & Ive also been able to park as close as behind the building. COOL atmosphere. Trendy! Bar near main stage. Some booth seating (limited). Great audio /visual experience! Great artists, both well-known & less known. The bathrooms (and floors) tend to get SUPER GROSS and dirty as the night progresses!
Could be a great place to play. Not ! The venue is hard to work with. Does not care about anything except themselves. Don’t expect much out of the employees. That way you won’t be let down.
First time here with no clue what to expect. If youve been to a House of Blues this is similar. They have parking lots and it cost $10 no cash. The lots are close so not much walking. They do a very good job of assuring safety. You will enter a line that is organized and clearly marked and fenced. You will have your bags searched then you will walk through a metal detector. There is plenty of security throughout the facility. You will then show id and given a wrist band if your over 21. You will think you have to hit the first bars you see but DONT, head into the room where there is a huge bar with 7 or 8 tenders with registers. Look for the white screens on the counter that will tell you where the lines are. You could wait where there is no bartender. Our bartender was fast and gave us very generous pours. Once the show started there was never a wait at the bar. It is general admission so first come first serve in the standing room only theater. The theater is a half circle and I believe there are 4 different levels (stadium) for the crowd. There really isnt a bad area even from the side. The stage sticks out into the crowd enough to feel very intimate. We arrived at 7:30 for a 7 start time. We got a terrific location 2nd level to the right of center. This place puts you right in the action Im guessing the performers feel the same. I believe it holds a maximum of 1000 people. They have a VIP balcony that looks pretty legit. The balcony provides booth seating and servers. This is now a corporate theater owned by Live Nation. The place is clean and well taken care of. The bathrooms were in good order. Ill be back.
It is always a great time coming here for concerts. I love the patio area. Its super chill and love that they have band merchandise.
Great venue to watch live music. Terraced sections provide great views. Easy entrance and exit. Plenty of parking in the adjacent lots.
Went to watch a Kurt Travis show (loved it amazing)Speedy check inGreat atmosphereGreat drinks 🍷Security all over too!
Great place to see intimate shows. Taken over by live Nation and run a bit different. Great bartenders, friendly door people, parking isnt the worst ever and a short walk, safe! And the venue is easy to navigate and not too pushy. If you get their early, you good. If not, youre missing out. Bought tickets for early entry and got in at normal time, so think about it before you splurge.
I took my daughter to see her favorite band, and the staff here was super cool, from the entrance of the venue to the inside of the venue. Its all about Orange County 🍊I was born and braised here, the best county ever✌🏻
Have seen so many shows here. One of my favorite venues. Multiple bars so good chance yoy wont wait in line too long
The venue is okay but the parking cost more than the price of the actual ticket of the show that I was going to. That is total nonsense. Just be aware that if you go to this place parking is going to cost you $30.
Nice concert venue... BUT be warned... Bring your own limes if you want a drink! Who doesnt have fresh limes and lemons at the bar?? But other than that... They have their stuff together... Getting in was quick and the security staff was efficient and friendly. Will I come here again? Most definitely! Will I smuggle in my own limes for a Gin and Tonic... Most definitely...
Good location, decent sound. Drinks are pretty expensive, as expected. Pre-game at a local brewery unless you got a bunch of cash for these guys. Free parking on the adjacent street.
My first time here was awesome. Went to see Westside Gunn and Conway. Sound was great! Voices were balanced so you could hear performers and music clearly. It was a little on the small side but thats just the venue. entryway and rest rooms were acceptable. There is only 1 bar and 1 bartender working that night so waits for drinks were long at times. They should add another POS station and another bartender. Otherwise very satisfied with my visit.
Excellent venue - great sound, cool hangout spaces - in a spectacularly terrible location.
This place is mid. Overcrowded. No crowd surfing. Overpriced. $10 parking if you’re in a 2002 civic. $30 if you’re driving a 2019 Mercedes.
Always a great show, if your female stay far far away from mosh pit, I was far away from pit at D.I. Show Feb 23, 2024, i got a crushed rib from a rogue mosher, went to ER, Pain pills for a month, still away from work, I made a girlfriend tonight at D.I. Show March 22, 2024, she too was far away from pit and got a concussion and a gash on her brow from a rogue mosher. She was 24 and very beautiful, name LO, Went to EMT at show, I tried to help her, she wandered off property in a daze. I hope your ok LO.
Gotta be my favorite venue. The larger stage has terraced standing area, so youre never stuck behind more than a few people. Also Ive never once heard it sound any less than amazing!
Wonderful, intimate venue. Sound quality/mix was pretty good (I saw Helmet). Id come back here often if I could.
Took forever to get in. Bought early entry upgrades only for them to be obsolete. We arrived in the wrong line, doors opened at 7:00 and they didnt start letting people in until 7:30. Despite the wait times and inconsistency, the concert was amazing. Saw EDEN and Verite. Both were exceptional singers. We also got squashed being up so close and was extremely crowded but it was great.
Best local spot for good bands. Good views and great staff 👏 ❤️
The place itself was amazing!!!! The staff however had no clue what was going on, made half of us show covid vac cards or neg test and the rest didnt care about, only made half the girls throw their purses away from being too big, and were totally rude. Also sat up pay to park 4 hours after we were already parked and standing in line waiting g for meet n greets. Was a great concert but a horrible experience from the staff!!!!
Lame security, some little dude who takes his job way too seriously. He was excited to kick people out left and right. I think it turned him on.
In this day if you want to see the stars you have to go to THE OBSERVATORY! All kinds and all types of performers find their best performances seem to be up for viewing at the Observatory. If you like rock, or in the mood to escape to waves of sound with world class DJs like Tiesto on any night of the weekend or week you will see the best performances. They also have rockin food. Make reservations or grab a bite, your in for a taste experience. Plus with some all ages shows you can even get the younger ones in the crew to have a great time!
The venue is terrific. Super well laid out, terrific service and bars, and easy to park at
Always a great place to go for shows, same with the constellation room. Parking was easy to find. Seems like it’s $20 up close and $10 down the street a bit.I’ve seen a few shows here and it’s just what you need and want. Check out some shows. Some are just $15 or so.The pictures are of the Girl in Red show last week.
Surprisingly good venue for what seems like an office park. Made us wait outside until 30 minutes before the show despite there being a perfectly good bar inside. Wasted my pregame booze buzz.
The concert was great! Awesome staff, from security to bartenders. The atmosphere was great.
Sebastian Bach was pretty good. Venue is great. Lotta fun, great staff
Nice little venue nestled in Santa Ana that draws some decent acts. Smaller open floor plans makes for a great view regardless where you are. Buying tickets through tickets through their Ticketweb site is great because you dont incur ridiculous service charges like other places. Highly recommended if a band/artist you like is playing here.
As far as my experience goes, there were definite aspects that needed vast improvement. But this is the place to go for the value of seeing an artist you love, so long as it isnt overcrowded(the night I went it was perfect, not claustrophobic like Ive heard about other nights.) Just keep this in mind when going, is it an high profile artist? Then it will be miserably crowded like others complain of. I went and saw a kickbutt artist whos gaining a lot of traction and if it were anymore crowded it wouldve been too much but it was just right.Based on my experience I would most likely go again if theres an artist I wanna see....but DANG FIX YOUR FOOD! The fries were too thinly sliced I couldnt eat them without pain from crunching down so hard, and after waiting 40 minutes for them, well, thats kinda pushing it. The people staffed there were very helpful and nice at least. It was just the fries that was the main negative for me.Oh! And the ventilation was just fine, I understand thats been a concern other nights, but I think that might have to do with the fact it was a cooler night and tickets werent oversold. So anyone hesitant on going, just read the reviews and guesstimate what kind of experience to expect based on what other reviewers said. From there determine if the guesstimated experience is something you want/worth it for you. I lucked out.
Above average place with cool lighting, a designated area for merch, bar is hella expensive but bartenders are cool. Their alcohol is limited atm but once you ring em dry theyll get more. The show was awesome!!! Outdoor seating area (looked comfy but I went for the bands not sunshine). Had a secret club looking area which peaked my curiosity, bot sure what it actually was.
Well this place is a small venue, so you can see your favorite artists from a close range. This is a good thing, but since it is small, it gets too crowded which makes it almost impossible to get a drink or go to the restroom . Once you make it to the bar or to the restroom it is impossible to make it to your spot. FYI ge your drinks once you get in.CAIFANES 02/12/2018
Big yet small feeling venue with plenty of good viewing spots. All standing room aside from the balcony where you can reserve tables ahead of time and eat some surprisingly awesome food. There is often 2 shows going on in two different room Be ready to pay at least $10 to park and walk a good hike to the venue.Overall great place with often great shows booked.
Pretty sick layout! Loved seeing my favorite band there!
This is a great venue for ages 18 & older. Went for the first time on Friday night for Gimmie Gimmie Disco!! It was a BLAST!!! Dressing in that Era is a must... so FUN!! Advance tickets were $19, the longer you wait, the more you pay$$$.
This is probably the best ran show I had ever been to. I had never been to the observatory and was hesitant on which Haste the day show I should attend this one or the one at HOB so glad I went with this venue. The line had a bit of a confusion because there was two shows going on simultaneously but once that was squared it was smooth sailing.
The big stage here is awesome!!! If you have never been here and never been to a general admission show, this would be an excellent place to go for your first one! There are levels to stand, which are like large steps. So just about anywhere is a good spot to see the stage! Places to sit, bar and fantastic sound!!
Cool place and we got close to the performers but the sound was laughably awful. Engineer asleep at the wheel?
Overall this venue was pretty good. $20 gets you preferred parking or free parking if you dont mind a short walk. Sound was good. My only complaint would be the crowd at this particular show. There were several instances of unacceptable behavior throughout the night. Things like throwing cups/cans, some still full of liquid, from the back of the crowd towards the stage. People were being hit in the back of the head, splashed with who knows what, & more than one idiot following the 1st idiot to do it. There were a few people I noticed couldnt handle their alcohol so they slumped against the wall, some stumbling into others unable to walk, one woman threw up where she stood, & I saw a man passed out in the parking lot. If not for the distraction/annoyance from others wouldve had a better time.
Its a great place to see a show. Multiple layers to the GA floor and seats up in the balcony
Whats your pleasure? Different rooms, different vibes. Did not meet anybody who worked there who isnt cool as heck. This used to be a celebrity theater way back in the day. Hard recommend if you like whos playing there.
Been going to this venue for years and love it, but the last two shows I went to recently, I noticed the audio sounded horrible. The speakers sounded shot. The bass sounded so bad, that I couldnt understand what the singers were singing. First time I thought maybe it was the audio engineer, but after the second time, I dont think its the audio engineer. I hope the fix this, I love this venue and plan on going to another show in February
Love this place. I’ve been coming here since it was the Galaxy. It’s changed some but honestly where else can you see some great bands for a killer deal and small capacity?Even if you stand in the back by the bar you can still see the band perfectly.Tip. Buy the upgraded parking. It’s right out front. The regular parking is fine, across the street and a 2 min walk. But if you’re like me, just pay the $25.
Nice venue. No seats on the floor: be prepared to stand. Event sold out so not much dancing room! And the temperature of the room was comfortable even though it was at capacity. Staff was mostly helpful. (Coat-check clerk was not at their post which cost me a spot on the floor in front of the stage. 😥 ) But I saw THREE great bands!
This is a very intimate place to see your favorite artist perform! Ill be back for sure! ✌️🥰
They need an actual air circulation system they have zero A/C its bad people pass out from it Im surprised they havent had the city or state crank dwn on it for being in the OC and them making all that money bottle service at minimum $300 starting.alot less people well get hurt or faint and hurt themselves if they have a actual AIR system circulating. It feels worse then a sauna in there!!🔥🔥🔥😓😒🚬😧🤒🤢💩🚑🐒🕵️💭🌬️❄️🌫️
First time in this venue. Its a nice place for events.
Great concert venue! Large and clean womens restrooms. Strong security protocols for entry. Large bar and a restaurant area. Lots of staff.Caveats: Parking costs extra and requires walking through an office park thats deserted at night. And at least for the concert I attended, pre-sold tickets were digital-only; no printouts allowed.
Great venue to see a live show. It has 2 areas that bands play (main stage & a smaller separate stage). The staff is super friendly, the bathrooms are really clean & well stocked. Drink prices are equivalent to club prices.
I had the pleasure of working with Anita and Patty on a bat mitzvah and couldn’t be happier with how the event turned out. They were so easy to work with and always available to answer questions. Their team on-site was professional and helped ensure everything went smoothly. If you’re looking for a concert venue space for an event in OC, I’d highly recommend.
Went to see TR/ST last night. The venue is fantastic. Security do their job well, and the staff are always friendly. The venue is large and the admission is always a fair price. Seating can get a little crowded as it isnt the biggest venue, but it is always comfortable enough. Better drinking options would have given this place 5 stars.
Fun sized venue that feels very close to the show even from upstairs. If you have the extra money get a VIP table. Great sound and friendly bar service.
A clean, organized, and safe venue with excellent sound. The downsides: overpriced drinks with bar service that automatically includes exorbitant gratuity options, abusively high parking fees on site, and pricy parking for off site (5 min walk). Some minimal bar food options that isnt too badly priced, but the quality isnt the best. I paid $16 for a $12 ticket, and an additional +$75 for parking, three beers, and a pretzel.
Cool venue. The rockero night could have had a way better dj 2/24/24
Great medium size venue with clean restrooms. The atmosphere is genuinely unique
Attended the White Buffalo concert there. Really nice venue. Food was available before the concert. Great location. Ple ty of parking. Few small restaurants nearby also.
They were really cool about hooking me up in the disabled section since I have a torn meniscus and cant really do the mosh pit standing area so well. The place has a very kind staff and good selection of IPAs. The sound in this place was upgraded a couple years ago. So enjoy.
Cool venue. Came here for an outdoor festival they had in July. I didnt get to see much of the indoor portion of the venue but they did have the bar open as well as a little outdoor area next to it that provided some shade and coolness away from the heat.
First time at Observatory. Blown out by the performance of Exhumed, Incite and the the best of the best Cavalera Brothers. This venue has the best service and staff. Crowd for a metal performance where all in check and super friendly..... will be coming back...
Ridiculously overpriced Beer.....nice venue but $30 parking...friendly staff good sound and clean restrooms.
Venue is wonderful for viewing shows comfortably. They have the ability to have two separate shows simultaneously that don’t interfere with the others.Nice area out of theaters where people can sit, have a drink and either socialize or rest if needed.Only four stars due to their expensive drinks. Yes they are consistent with the prices of other venue’s and concerts, but that doesn’t mean they have to be. Charging a fair or acceptable price for beverages would benefit them as people would purchase more of them. Also give the venue a better reputation.
Just didnt like parking in the parking lot across the street and paying and the venue being cashless..
Great venue for live music. Multiple locations for drink ordering, small food selection but at least its something! Pricey beer, but nothing you wouldnt see at a sports event or bigger concert venue. Staff is always friendly, restrooms are clean.
We we to see Mat MeasonHe was fantasticThe venue itself was very unorganized getting in, even though we had VIPI did not like this venue as much as say The WilternThe employees however were nice, and attentiveVIP parking is 25 and regular 10And vip just means you park in front of the place
We had an incredible experience! Such a great concert!!!
The observatory has always had consistently good shows. They are always improving the venue too. They now have 4 bars that I counted with one outside in the large smoking area. They are a bit rough with security, they wouldnt let me bring in my purse that I considered to be small and they always try to tell me I cant bring in my car keys, but I cant very well leave them in the car! At least they are no longer making you show proof of Vax status or covid test in front of them. Security seems to make me miss the beginning of the show every time unless I show up way too early. These days if you dont have a bag and nothing that could possibly be used as a weapon (they wouldnt let a girl bring in her belt) then you should get right through security.
Excellent staff and organization. Great setup but get there early if you want a closer spot since they have rows with railings and seats for GA.
I really like this place alot. Lots of bars, no long lines. The stage is visible from everywhere. Very happy with my vist, one of my favorite places to watch a show at for sure.
Good layout but the place has the feel and vibe of an Applebees, or any other corporate chain. Overpriced drinks, surly security staff, good bartenders.PA is good and bands typically sound great here. Occasionally over packed at shows.Product of art is the vibe. The smaller Constellation Room has some surprisingly great bands booked over the years, but the website will list if shows are sold out, so never count on tickets at the door!
Firs time here and I loved it! Even with a sold out concert, there was plenty of room to move around. Theres also seats in every row.The feeling is very intimate and up close! Prefer this venue over larger ones.
Security folks were douchy. Sound in the pit area was pretty muddy. Bathrooms were clean. When the show was over, its easy to get out quick.
The AC was down for most of the concert. The sounds were a little muffled at times. The music was super loud which is fine but it did not come out smoothly. The Venue has plenty of parking, the alcohol was good.Went to the Wooli concert.
Pounding vibrations from one room radiated into another and nearly ruined more quiet, intimate, and heartfelt moments by truly talented artists. It certainly did not do justice for the amazing performers I went to see. Disappointing.
Easy parking, very spacious, nice bathrooms, and the venue is stadium “seating” so a lot of people in the back’s view isn’t obstructed.
Perfect place for any well known and new artists on the rise to perform, the venue I have to admit, could be better and improve. Really small, but always worth it. Affordable tickets, never a dull moment. Perfect everytime for events. Drinks and cocktails surprisingly are also at great prices. Its a great place to experience new artists and new music, definitely the place to go, but be there early because it does get really crowded, arrive there early to get the best spots near the main stage.
