I love the ambiance in this restaurant, and the food and cocktails are great! Nice getaway from the crowd in River Park.

Great service and delicious food but no buzz from tiny $14 drink and salad not very filling. Or would have given a 5. The remodel is beautiful so very nice ambiance.

The staff was very accommodating. We went for my 45th birthday. The crowd was much younger. There were at least 2 other birthday parties that night too. We had a great time.

The woman bartender hit on my husband right in front of me and only asked him what he would like, completely ignored me. Rude much ? Needless to say I won’t return for more disrespect

Our tab was 200 and they asked us to leave because they sold our table. PLAIN RACISM!! We are Mexican. I will post my receipt to see that within 2 hours we consumed 200.49 dollars. And it was my birthday. No one told us it was reserved “300 dls a bottle” They kicked us out from our table. If we had stayed longer we would have surpassed the price. All for business, we would have been good customers… loyal ones too!!! #smittcamp #resentfulowner

So confused as to why the dress code will have one believe this establishment is for a certain croud, I get why most of the no this no that BUT going through the pictures of the crouds, you would think that dress code is your guidelines as to what to wear!Very rude and judgemental bar Tender, if you want to callem that, Myself my wife and her friends went in to have a few drinks. They had already had one drink before. We got there when we approached the bartender. He told us that he could not serve and that we would have to leave because we were already slurring our words. So my wife let him know he wasnt very nice. And then he got worse. So to the owner. If you have disgruntled employees or employees that are having issues, it needs to be paid attention to. Because it then gets pushed outwardly to the ones keeping your business going.

We stopped by after 10pm to check it out. Not my cup of tea since I love to dance from first song to last: theres no dance floor and it gets super crowded. The DJ tonight kept switching from one genre to the next after one song, so not great for dancing and I know its a lounge, but it didnt even have that vibe either, lol. Bartenders served us with the BEST customer service. :-) The Patron Margarita I had was great; the tiny-shot-glass-mudslide was not.

I went outside and stayed in front of the standard. Then I wasn’t allowed back in, and security guards were going rogue on me for no apparent reason. Like, if it was justifiable from a cause. But I was enjoying the night like everybody else. Then she proceeded to say I was banned from ever coming back! I did nothing to deserve this treatment very bad service, dishonest people, and a bad working environment not user friendly. I spoke to the owner, and he was very one-sided. Not fair on things and looking for any insignificant things to throw at me!? Nobody deserves this. I definitely will not be coming back and spending my money there

First impressions, it was a good spot for younger singles to go dance and hang out. I dont really enjoy clubs as much anymore but this one was okay. Nothing really impressed me about this place. Again, this just wasnt my style of place but it was okay. If youre going just to club with friends then it could be a fun spot to dance but not talk and lounge. It has an ok ambiance, but they can probably update the lamp shades and drapes. HA! Probably more of a younger crowd place to hang out, if they can recognize the music playing from back in the 2000s.Several other things I didnt like:1. They charged way too much for bottles that you cant take with you even if you dont finish it.2. You can rent a table but its tiny and is easily overrun by strangers in the club.3. The music was old and the dj didnt transition well between songs.4. They dont even make a big shoutout when they bring out bottles, there were just two people shining lights and we couldnt even record because by the time we realized they were there, it was already over.5. I helped pay for a bottle of liquor that strangers helped themselves to.I had an ok time ...

Vicky and I enjoyed some delicious cocktails while waiting for the kids at Jerrys rodeo. A much nicer atmosphere! Worth every cent!

Visited The standard with family recently. The atmosphere was lovely & welcoming. The owner Steve is a lovely friendly guy who was very accommodating. The staff were friendly & professional. The food Salmon, risotto & veg was one of the best meals I’ve ever tasted! I would recommend this place to everyone. Will be visiting again when I’m back in Fresno. 10/10

My husband and I sat at the bar last night for drinks and a quick appetizer (the calamari was very tasty and left us wanting for more) and we’re served by a very warm and friendly bartender eager to help us decide on drinks. He even offered a sample of their mango blonde IPA which was alone a classy move.When I returned home later that night, I noticed I had misplaced a $50 bill and so I thought I’d call this morning in the slim to zero chance someone picked it up off the bathroom floor or wherever I may have dropped it (‘it’s the last time I use my bra as a wallet) and handed it over to management. I believe that breed of humankind(ness) still exists, and so I left a message.A few hours later, I received a call from Steve, the owner of the Standard, as a courtesy call to let me know that alas, no $50 bills made there way to lost and found. 😜 That aside, he didn’t want (my own error) the experience to tamper our impression his bar and invited us back to enjoy a gift card on the house. Completely taken aback by his second act of generosity, I told him that was completely unnecessary but he again urged us to return and enjoy some complimentary drinks on him. I thanked him, hung up, floored.Last night may have marked our maiden voyage to the Standard, but I can tell you that coupled with the quality of our food and cocktails, the awesome and attentive service provided by our bartender, and then Steve’s beyond the call of good business offer, there is nothing Standard about this bar and restaurant WHATSOEVER and we WILL definitely be back for more.If you’re looking for a good time in a lively yet cozy atmosphere and want to support deserving local restaurants in Fresno, you must try The Standard on for size!!!We look forward to the warmer season when the live music scene there really picks up heat!Thank you so much for leaving a lasting and inviting taste in our mouths. The remodel looks fantastic. And the food is great.

Went there on a Friday night with a few friends. Wifey and I were celebrating our anniversary and wanted to have a good time. The customer service we received was amazing. Tony showed us around the place since it was our first time there. Very elegant lounge! DJ Ernie was spinning good music. Not too loud, not like a club. Just loud enough to have a great time with a bit of dancing, but able to talk without screaming. No drama at this place. We got treated like royalty. Will definitely go there again!

One the best nightclubs in Fresno to get table service. The service is exceptional the staff is attentive , the music is popping and the drinks are amazing! The staff here really does try to keep it as clean and classy as they can. Its refreshing to have a place in town that you can go enjoy drinks dancing and good music without fights breaking out all the time. I especially like being greeted by their new door girl, Christina. She is so fun friendly and has a great attitude.

I never write reviews, but this place definitely deserves 10 stars out 5 👏🏻. I called to reserve the table for my friends and family for a special occasion. I got a call back from Raj and he said he will take care of it. Boy! he did take care of it and made us feel very special. Thank you Standard team, and Especially Raj for the great service and food. We will definitely recommend this place for great fun fill environment!!

Went for the whiskey festival, everything about it was fantastic and the area itself was phenomenal I will definitely be visiting more often

I tried this place because I received a gift card but I didnt feel comfortable. I tried going the weekend before, and I planned my schedule around it, since they open at 5 on Saturday and they usually close Sundays for private events but when I arrived on that particular Saturday, the entire place was closed for a private event. I recommend, calling ahead. When I finally made it, my family didnt feel as if it had a welcoming vibe. Maybe because theyre other main business is to turn into a night club? It is definitely dark inside. Our server was very nice and courteous. I had the rib eye steak with mashed potatoes and veggies. The potatoes and veggies were excellent, however; the meat was extremely tough. It got softer once I was closer to the bone. My family had the chicken alfredo and they seemed to like it. For dessert we had the chocolate molten lava cake and the bread pudding. OMG, both were so good. Prices are on the heftier side. I would like to come back and try some of their other dishes but not with family, more of a date night atmosphere for me.

This place was great, I had the Chicken Piccata along with the Boulevardier cocktail. These items were wonderful. Well cooked and beautifully served along with the drink. They are managing COVID well with there accountability of everyone wearing a mask and having sanitizer at the desk. And they ensure 6ft distance apart from one another. The service I might add was flawless as well. My partner didnt like there drink and was afraid to ask, but the waitress was able to see and had no hesitation with asking them if they would like another drink. And they got them another drink in no time. Made for the perfect night. Definitely a place worth trying. You will not be disappointed!

Awesome place excellent vibes the staff is great they have extra security to make you feel safe and theyre security are really nice always polite way better then the next door club that just opened up. This place has been here for years before it used to be known as the green olive. So that just shows you if its been there for over a decade it must be for a reason!! Lol also for the dudes total beautiful babes!! A+++

Great venue for larger events. Set up is really cool with different rooms, huge outdoor lounge/patio, and upper class patrons that werent catty like a lot of night club regulars (in less than appealing bars). 4* because they need a bigger dance floor.

Celebrated my wifes surprise birthday party here after Christmas. Raj helped me set up an amazing dinner, appetizer and dessert ensemble for our guests. Our thirty some-odd guests all loved the food and restaurant ambiance. After dinner we took advantage of the lounge area & music and danced all night. I’m still hearing compliments from friends and family on the choice of venue and thought you all should know. Not as pricey as you might think for the location and food quality. We can’t wait to plan a spring/summer gathering here later this year.

I do frequent The Standard on Friday nights... my experience has always been GREAT!!! GREAT FOOD AS WELL AS ENTERTAINMENT. I decided to invite a few friends and co workers October 27 2018 to The haunted Mansion costume party. After 30 minutes of standing around with out service, we were passed by several times. When we finally received service it wasnt at all what Ive complimented this establishment on. Unfortunately my party and I had to take a loss on what we paid almost 30.00 per ticket. My review is only for this particular date, however service was so bad I wanted to utilize this platform for a voice regarding the experience . I will return on fridays and hopefully CONTINUE to appreciate the atmosphere that they are so well known for on Friday nights.

One of our favorite hangouts in Fresno. The food is very good and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We always order the seared ahi (Ive never had better seared ahi anywhere else!!!), calamari, and salmon... The tacos are also really good!! The manager came around to make sure that everything was okay with our food and that we were enjoying ourselves. At night, The Standard is a lounge and weve always had a good time...

Horrible!! 0 stars! The bartender swipes a gift card we got from a friend, $50 worth. So naturally we order $50 worth of food and drinks. Another worker says, You cant use that. Its happy hour. Its 8pm when we leave!! Oh, so we have to come back to the poor service (didnt even get the appetizers we ordered), just to use this card?? Gift cards are supposed to be like cash!

NEVER, EVER, EVER, AGAIN!!! Went there for my friends 30th bday, on a $1 taco Tuesday, which we informed the restaurant of before hand. The bday girl is a regular there, not me. I joined the party and when we arrived I was the first one to tell the group to order food. Infact, I was the first one to order. I get it, it was a lot of us and we all ordered food all at once, but when everyones orders starting coming out wrong I expressed myself. To be clear, bday girl only requested that her tacos be dressed with cabbage and Pico de gallo and not be plain. Easy right? The bar tender said, and I quote, I cant take them back. The kitchen is already annoyed that you guys ordered so much. WTF?!?!? I had to ask for a manager who I think just brushed me off. And on top of that, I waited an HOUR from the time or ordered my 6 tacos to the time I actually got them. Thats besides confirming twice that they really were coming. The service is terrible and the tacos were skimpy. I will NEVER go back.

A man let me use the men’s restroom because the women’s line was so long and I was kicked out for it. I spoke with the bouncers after and apparently I was suppose to know that the policy for that is I’m to be kicked out and not allowed back in.This versus the girl who was so over served she was puking in the bushes which was deemed exceptable where as I broke a unspoken policy to which I was chavisted saying “I should have known better.” Well your bartenders and bouncers should maybe know better to make sure people aren’t drinking to the point of puking rather than spend so much time and resources over my bathroom choice.

Best selection of whiskeys in the 559, even some rare brands if you got the extra $ to treat yourself to some great shots. And those Ghost Pepper Wings are amazingly good for being so mouth burning hot...definitely one of my favorites to order :)

Tried it again after being away for a few years. Was VERY disappointed. Why? Hair in blackened salmon, (really you comped my bill and thats It? Wouldnt have paid for hair additive). Masquerade ball was messy and disorganized, I dont recommend as a couple, this was definitely for singles. But the one star was for the hair in the food. Will not be back. Sorry Raj

Below The Standard! Terrible food and expensive prices. I ordered blackended halibut. It was dry and served with a few soft vegetables and mashed potatoes from a box. No bread at table or salad. My husband and son are too and we were all unhappy with the good.

I was a REGULAR customer for six years and all bartenders know my name and how calm and polite I am even when drinking . I was assaulted by SIX Bouncers and Security guards at this bar for no apparent reason, I was having conversation with somebody and they thought mistakenly it was altercation. I was thrown on the road adjacent to Standards bar. Security guards were twisting my arms and beating me up. And one security was on top of me holding my head and smashing my face on the road concrete and the manager PINTO was watching and did not stop them. I LOST CONSCIOUSNESS. They did not even call 911 for me; they brought taxi to take me home. Even taxi driver was mad because he saw the extent of the physical abuse. My girlfriend has to call 911 when I got home because I lost consciousness again. They tried to cover it by not letting my girlfriend record it with her iPhone. But she did manage to have video incriminating these security guards and Bouncers. I have head Trauma, face bruises, black eyes, broken Shoulder bone and shoulder muscles tears, many bruises on all my body, physical and emotional trauma and I am not able to work at this time.If you believe in human rights, you should BOYCOT them.They are slaves who fear to speakFor the fallen and the weak;They are slaves who will not chooseHatred, scoffing, and abuse,Rather than in silence shrinkFrom the truth they needs must think;They are slaves who dare not beIn the right with two or three.

Good hang out spot, good place for drinks and dancing. It used to be an older crowd with less drama, but now younger proteome are going and every time I go there someone starts something and ruins the night.

The drinks are on point and the service is impeccable. Dress up a bit before you come and youll have a great time.

Need I say more, it has nice looking people here, owner has a great place to coast up to a mate or date, one of the must go~to on your agenda to do also have special gathering, have no worry, lol. Enjoy 😊 yep!

RAJA Is a great manager very friendly and very fair. I do security for this place and visited for the first time and had a blast the drinks on bottles are very reasonable the cleanliness is to perfection and the security always has things under control

Its In the corner of the whole strip, makes it tiny and tight in there. small restrooms , over priced drinks and service is a hit or miss, for the area its located I would have expected more, and no dance floor. dj plays awesome music!
