I came here with my friends. Party of 4. We came in on a Sunday evening and was able to be seated right away. Keep in mind this place is small. I saw about 10 tables?!? Not counting the bar.Anyways, we were greeted almost immediately and ordered drinks. We all loved our drinks. We ordered the pizza appetizer and it was very good as well. I ordered the White Shrimp Pesto pasta and loved it as well. The portions are a good size so I couldn’t finish it all.Honestly I had a good time and the waiter was attentive. He attended to us and made our drinks. It was great.

Came here for datenight with my husband. Food was really tasty and loved the entire experience. Great service and food. Would highly recommend 👍

Staff was friendly and attentive. Dinner in the back, outside, was fun and a great atmosphere. Only walked through the inside of the restaurant, but Id love to check it out on a day - or evening- when it wasnt great to be outside. We were passing through, so well have to check out our next time were in the area.

A hidden gem is what I’d like to call this place! Doesn’t look like much from the outside but my perspective changed once I entered.My son brought me here yesterday for Mothers Day dinner and I was very well pleased with the service and food. Big props to the chef, he sure knows how to cook up a meal! And the presentation of the plating was very beautiful. They have a full bar and patio. My only disappointment is, that I didn’t know about this place sooner. I highly recommend for a special dinner or just to go and hang out. I most definitely will be going back and will be telling all my family and friends about.

Very nice evening with Nikki as our server. He did a great job. My pork chop was fabulous. Very tasty! My man and I had not been here for a while. Hasnt changed. Still great food, great drinks and great service.

Food was good all around. This was our first time here with friends. Friendly service and very accommodating, we moved to the outdoor area with the live band playing. It was a pleasant experience.

This was my fiancée and I first time visiting this spot and I unfortunately I don’t think we’ll be going back. We decided to give this place a try because we saw a few items from their menu online we thought we might try. The primary reason I’m ranking this a two star instead of one is because I wasn’t totally disappointed by the actual food itself. In fact, both my fiancée and I thought our dishes tasted good. However, the same can’t be said about the quality of service we received.We went on a Saturday evening and arrived just over an hour after they opened. We were expecting to be seated inside since there were many open tables available, but the hostess claimed that all the indoor seating had been reserved. We found that to be odd because had tried to make reservations but each time my fiancée called no one answered and there was nowhere on their website where we could make the reservation online. Since we were already there, we went ahead and sat in their outdoor patio. We had to move from the first table we sat at because the ground was uneven causing the table to wobble a bit. Our second table had a slight wobble as well, but it wasn’t as bad.Now I don’t know if maybe our server wasn’t having her best day, but the quality of service our table got was noticeably subpar in comparison to the tables around us. But as I mentioned before, the food we ordered tasted good and the dishes came out in a relatively descent time. We ordered three appetizers: braised pork quesadilla, ESB beer battered shrimp, and the grilled beef Thai rolls. And for the entrees we had the grilled juniper berry pork chop and the grilled white pepper encrusted salmon.

Visited the place to watch a music group. It was rather busy, but the service was good. The chicken and potatoes meal was delicious. The back patio was eye pleasing to say the least. Definitely took some notes on what to do with my backyard.

The 2 stars are for the food and ambiance! I loved sitting outside and listening to the band. On the other hand, what almost ruined the evening was our server, Jimmy. From the moment we opened the door, we were greeted with we dont have seating outside. I said, Oh, I have a reseveration for 3 for outside. He said, let me repeat myself. We dont have seating outside.From that moment on, it was a series of similar and unfortunate events. The rude and UNPROFESSIONAL behavior we received from the waiter Jimmy was unacceptable. Every interaction with him included him making rude or negative comments to us about the lenghty wait times we should expect and negative comments about his co-workers.We received bread and butter with no utensils or napkins. Later, he brought a single menu, and WHILE handing it to me, he said, Well, do you know what you want to eat?. How in the world could I know, when I or the two other guests hadnt even gotten to look at the one menu! When our food arrived, we still had not received utensils or napkins. When I mentioned this, he storms off to get some (every request being an inconvenience to him) and then apon return, he abruptly hands all three sets to me, leaving me to pass the utensils out.His personality and behavior just about ruined my birthday dinner, but throughout all of this, we remained pleasant and considerate to him.I hope that the owners and management realize that this type of employee is what will ruin an experience and drive customers away.

Probably my favorite place to eat in the Fresno/Clovis metro area. Not super fancy, no need to feel like you need formal attire. But nice enough to take a date or a group. The food is superb, nothing ive tried has ever disappointed. The ribeye is amazing. Great selection of wines by the bottle, fresh bread with your meal and great desserts. A very nice patio out back thats great on summer nights.

Had a double date here with my husband, and my sister and BIL. It was great! Food was excellent and service was chef’s kiss! 100% recommend.

I really hate writing this review because Ive been going to this place forever. Yet last night was kind of the straw that broke the camels back. Well their security and people are very sweet I cant say the same for the bartenders. Im still shook. It was my friends birthday so of course were already spending a lot no matter what but the intoxication doesnt change what comes out of your wallet and you can manage it and see it on your phone. It was crazy to me because my partner even caught this twice The bartender kept overcharging us. Id get to beers, and somehow itd be $50, but she would have to interject. As I was getting tipsy I didnt think as much to it but he would tack on the drinks she just paid for onto my tab. Knowing we are well together and in the same party because we were pretty much the only people racking up any kind of money coming in but they definitely took advantage. I can definitely say Ive been going there almost 10 years and now I pretty much will not go again. That money could literally have gone to Ubers or being safe or something else. Shoot even my friends birthday money. It was just terrible be careful pay attention to every single transaction you make.

I had the eggplant mozzarella, amazing! Just the perfect amount of vinegar the flavors really came together while and the presentation was fabulous perfect you also have to try their Stockholm royale, its a local favorite. The Ambiance is amazing with great local art on the walls.

Lived in Fresno my 57 years of life and never been here. Ive been a cook 40 years and was impressed with the taste, presentation and over all experience of the cuisine at this established restaurant. I see why its been here for so long. Patio was nice but we fed the mosquitoes while out there. Prices reasonable for the quality of food. Definitely well tested recipes. I will be back.

Food was wonderful, however, parents with very young cranky children should consider a different restaurant.

Its a bit pricey but worth every penny. Have had a few very nice, very special dinners there... but I mostly stick to Lunch or Appetizers & Drinks. Never been disappointed once.Its very cozy inside, feels safe. The patio is shady and spacious. Cute and Clean Ladies Rm. 👍

I havent had food here as of yet, but I have been here when it turns into a bar inside is on the small side, but they have a huge outdoor patio with tents and heaters for the winter time and a small bar out back. When the weather is good theyll have bands play on the patio as well. Very mellow, chill drinking spot year round.

This place is always a good call for something a little upscale. The special menu is always a treat. The salmon rigatoni will always be a good call. Goat cheese appetizer is great with wine. Wine specials on Wednesday.

We have been going to Vini’s for years. It’s been a stomping ground for us, even after we moved from Fresno. Tonight, the annual Peter Write Christmas show was at Tower, and we were so excited to share this Fresno staple with dear friends to kick off the holidays.It’s was an epic disappointment. We sat for 1.5 hours, without being served. The waitress…..who wore dirty clothes and a beanie explained the kitchen was backed up.As we decided to leave, because the concert was starting, our food made its way out. We could not eat it obviously.So as we offered to pay for our drinks we had, the manager obnoxiously stated to the host that we refused to wait.This is so disappointing because VVV has always been stellar. It seems like the tide has turned.

Overall, a great little spot with a unique vibe in the Tower District. Service and food were really good although not overwhelmingly amazing. But the portions were larger than normal for the price point and there a lot of interesting fusion options on the menu - typically Asian or Italian influences. We started with the eggplant pave which was savory and fresh and really yummy. I had the pork chop which was recommended and it was cooked beautifully with great presentation. Other dishes ordered were the ravioli with andoullie sausage which was fabulous comfort food, gnocchi with chicken (seasonal item) and Thai beef rolls (seasonal). For dessert we had the bananas foster and chocolate almond coffee cake. Again, it was more like good home cooking than fine dining, but really satisfying. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the service was great. It gets loud in case thats not your favorite ambiance, but overall a fun spot to check out!

First time visitor! Will definitely be back! We each got a different dish (6 in our party) and we all said we had the best dish! Food was incredible, staff & service were just as awesome! Parking on and across the street wasnt too bad either.

I will be honest, I have gone to Venis for years. I had no idea the food was so good. Its probably one of the best in Fresno truly. Servers are unique and knowledgeable. I still prefer the night crowd with its diversity. The DJs are amazing. Just a really good place.

The drinks were off the hook! The dining was excellent.The food was exquisite and full of flavor!The customer service lacked a bit, but the place was packed and there were 3 groups of over 15 each on the patio.I would think because of the high end prices, the waiting staff would be more appropriately dressed. They were wearing t shirts and shorts.

Last night i took my wife for dinner celebrating our 3 year anaversary. called to reserve a table last min and they got us in no problem. the waiter was really nice and friendly as well. we sat outside in their patio area. my wife loved it. The food was really good too. we will definitely be returning. thank you

So first things first YES YES YES . Git the shrimp pasta which my wife loved I got the ribeye which was the best steak I have ever had and I have had alot of top notch steaks . Git the pizza for a appetizer which was amazing . Cucumber cocktail top notch . Now the bad desert was nit good at all which is the same everywhere but the service they filled are waters until food came than never came I had ti wave her down for a second contail. Waitress only checked on us and gave good service when meal was over and of course thats tip time. In my opinion some of the best food one fresno will go again hopefully a different Waitress

Writing strictly from the nightlife perspective as I havent been here when its a restaurant. I love the outdoor patio here, though it can take awhile to get a drink when its crowded, but thats to be expected. Music is hit or miss, but overall usually a fun spot. Have had a couple instances with fights breaking out/guns which was a little crazy but overall I usually like the vibe.

My food was delicious and I tried my friends steak and that was so yummy too. Only been here twice. The outdoors vibe is pretty chill. After dinner, take in some DJ music and chat a bit. I did feel out of place though. I was surrounded by younger people, college crowd Id guess. If you enjoy just hanging out with small group of friends and having drinks while listening to music then I guess this is the spot. Staff is kind and patient. Oh and be careful not to miss the turn to get there. Maybe displaying some sort of signage would be helpful for those of us who are older and not regulars at this restaurant. Overall Id go again just to feel young again 😁

Stumbled in without a reservation and the staff was able to get us a table in the back patio where it happened to be salsa night with live music. The spaghetti was enough to feed 2 people and the bread pudding was excellent. Cool atmosphere for sure!

The food was delicious, the outside dining area was a very cool setting with the brick wall and trees, the evening weather was perfect. It did not feel like we were down town Fresno! The staff was very attentive but not annoying, upbeat and pleasant! Would definitely think to go back when in the area again.

If you’re in the area or even not in the area and just happen To want something relaxing and tasty I recommend taking the ride to visit this location. The The ambience of having the options to Dine either in a luxurious, relaxing, intimate setting Or Outside in the mix of the city to in brace the excitement of the area. The food tasty and peas in it so well. The display really captivates the eyes to make you want to indulge in the meal.I must comment on the drinks. I think they are tasty and very delicious. Those the tea is perfectly fine, the alcoholic kick took longer than normal to arrive. I don’t think they were watered down beverages but they were not hooked up the way I’m used to.

I give the food, drinks and service 5 stars. The food never lets us down. The service is always top notch. Need to work on better ventilation of the kitchen area. With an open kitchen, the smoke and grease particles can get pretty intense when the restaurant is full. We literally left smelling of the kitchen.

This place is trash, “pizza” is $20 plus and it looked like it was made on a burnt tortilla, crust was like a cracker. No vegetarian options, I got better pizza at pieology, waitress didn’t wanna be there, messed up multiple orders for our party, no bueno, our party paid atleast a $1,000 in total and nobody enjoyed their meal.

Great atmosphere. The shrimp penne pasta and chicken breast were prepared perfectly. Overall a nice spot to take a date or have a good meal with friends. No fault of the establishment, but eating outside brings its own challenge. Wear mosquito repellent if youre as tasty as the food.

There is not enough places like this in Fresno. The atmosphere was very relaxing. A cozy place to enjoy a great meal with excellent service and the presentation of the dishes were outstanding. When my family comes down from Southern California I Will have to bring them here. Keep up the good work!!

This place can get pretty crowded in the weekends...the back patio makes up for it by not having too many seats sprawled around wasting space....a nice place to come, mingle, drink, and converse. Inside can get cramped but outdoors definitely feels more energetic. The bar outdoors however is kinda slow to deliver drinks, and the indoor bar can have a few rude bartenders...but other than that...great place to come drink with friends and listen to music.

Great food. Shrimp appetizer, ceasar salad with perfect salmon and the ravioli dish. Sauce was excellent and very different. Brandon provided excellent service. Had dinner on the patio and weather was just right. Great evening to celebrate a belated birthday.

This is, by far, my favorite restaurant in Fresno. The food is incredible and consistent. There is always a special. The service is better than 5 star. The atmosphere is perfect. The design is cozy but feels giant. I have been here numerous times and I have always had the best time.

First off, the food, freakin amazing! They catered for my company and it was a huge success! That was the first time I had there food but definitely not the last.Wonderful place for a romantic evening. At night they have great bands which are a big hit for me. They have a huge patio, heating lamps, big crowds, good dj, drinks are always tasty and fast service.Only giving a four cause they need room for a dance floor.

I had been here once before on a Thursday during arthop but the other day I went on a Friday and it was a completely different experience. That Thursday it was pretty dead and they only had the inside bar with a couple table out back in the patio but Friday it was packed with both bars open and music playing in both places. We were mostly in the patio and we didnt have a table because it was so packed but it was still cool. They have people going around asking if you like to order anything that way you dont have to go all the way to the bar and wait to for your turn to get your drink.

This place has always had great food and Service for my wife and I until TONIGHT. When a Bar Tender spills the drink he is making and the one you already Paid for all over you I would suggest not playing the Victim {I think she is made at me } That is what a very self entitled Snow Flake would say Vs. oh I am so sorry what can I do to help. The owner who always sits at the far end of the Bar did. Not Move or say a word and the rest of our Friends who work there did very little and showed no empathy Mistakes happen but poor training and low class service will not be forgotten. Grow up Snowflake and realize mistakes happen when you are not trained properly you deserve Poor reviews. Dine at the bar at your own Risk.

I really love this place. Ive been here quite a few times and each experience has been positive and the food delicious. Occasional live music to enjoy as well. Great ambiance, excellent drinks. This is one of my favorite spots in the Tower.

Called to make a large party reservation 3 weeks in advance and the guy who answered the phone was VERY rude, telling me he is too busy to answer my questions and to call back another time with all my questions. You bet I did not make a reservation, if Im courteous enough to call 3 weeks in advance to make a reservation for a large party, they should at least be polite about my questions.

Havent tried the food but the crowd, drinks, and vibe is great. They dont hold back on the liquor like some places do. Outdoor area is nice with patio heaters, crowd is chill and so is music. I recommend this place.

I liked the music and the set up. The one thing that I didnt like was the fact that their bar tender was horrible. He seemed to be helping every one else but us. He was making small talk with all the anglos and he just looked at us and just asked what we needed. We were there for about 20 minutes up at the front of the bar and all we wanted was 1 beer while everyone else wanted mixed drinks. I said I wouldnt go back again but everyone deserves a 2nd chance!

Food here is good and moderately priced. A nice diverse crowd comes to enjoy different events from Salsa, cumbia mixes to mainstream pop and hip hop. It can get crowded on weekends or events due to the locations small size but fun nonetheless...

One of my favorite restaurant/bars in town. Fine dining $$ in a relaxed atmosphere with open kitchen and best outdoor patio in Tower District. Steak, porkchop, and fish all cooked to perfection and an array of yummy appetizers that are great with a signature cocktail. New specials every weekend and good dessert selection that changes regularly. Full bar and beer selection includes craft beers. After 10 PM usually a younger crowd with a DJ most nights. Weekend nights get crowded but 2nd bar outside with limited tables and chairs. Great establishment with friendly staff and fun atmosphere!

Last night was my first time visiting this place. I absolutely loved everything about it. The look, the atmosphere, the outdoor section, and the drinks were all phenomenal. I will definitely be coming back to try the food.

Not really the most exciting place. If you just want to see the seedy regulars and settle for standard service from staff and the same decor from 20 years ago they may be open rn. I didnt even go there I went to raging records next door which is the best record store ever and would given a 10 star rating if possible.p

The ambiance is delightful, warm and welcoming. Chairs are a little uncomfortable. The shrimp appetizer is a must! The staff is friendly. The Rib Eye was superb!

I come here to see somewhat happy couples drinking together while I jealously watch and set my own #relationshipgoals for 2020. This might be a little sad to read, but it’s cool because the drinks I order here are mixed well and make the loneliness a little more bearable.Seriously, though, it’s a good time here.

Its a regular popular spot because its in tower and their djs are good, but their bartenders are terrible!! Only one bartender has ever made my drinks correct. Hes a tall gentleman looks mixed and usually bartends in the back. Im horrible with names so please forgive me, but get your drinks from him! They need to train their bartenders and check their beers before giving it to their customers. One night our mixed drinks were horrible, so we ordered some bluemoons instead.. our beers in the bottle were terrible. They tasted rotten! While that maybe a packaging issue with bluemoon he did look at the bottle and almost questioned it himself and still gave it to us. Its disappointing to go to a local popular bar and not be able to get a decent drink.

Tastes like homemade gourmet Italian food. So delicious, yet light. The quality is excellent and the prices appropriate for the quality and portions. Dont expect to go for a cheap meal! I had the Andouille sausage raviolli and the spaghetti meatballs. Will go back for more.

If the weather is nice, the back patio is so lovely! I always order the goat cheese and olives appetizer (and ask for extra bread!). Menu changes a lot but everything is alwaus goid since Ive been going since 1998

My wife and I have been here many times and have never had a bad experience. Every once in awhile it is a little crowded and the service is a little bit slower because of that. But overall the food the drink the crowd they are all top-notch!

The flavors in the food are SUPERB. Our Salmon was moist with a crusted outside that made it DELICIOUS. You wont be disappointed! Service was excellent too!

This place used to be amazing, always a good time until about the last 5 years. It really went downhill and has yet to recover. The crowd is a mixture of all types of people from all walks of life. Dinner here was very good the one time I ate here, although service was not as good as the food.

I brought my friend here for her birthday. The food was good and the atmosphere was pleasant, relaxing and the waitress was friendly. It could be a little difficult to spot but its worth the time.

Been going here for years. Food is delicious and the staff is great. Late nights can get a little crowded but always fun.

Turned my service away. The server said they didnt want to be there until midnight, though it was an hour before their kitchen closed. She claims they were understaffed. Ive never been to any restaurant and been told I cant get food because they basically dont feel like serving me. Save your time and your money.

Came from out of town, checked it out because friends recommended it but the Dj was completely garbage!! He didn’t know how to transition between songs nor did he know how to keep the crowd energized! He made this experience the worst!! I don’t know what dj was playing tonight, 06APR19 thru 07APR19 2:00am but he needs to be fired.

One of the greatest places in the historic tower district to go out to have some drinks meet with frienda made some new friends. The environment is out of this world. I recommend it to young generation to old generation. Music from local djs to live music. The night live is good. And the day life if full if goodiea a high cuality restaurant .

Super delicious food and dont pass up on the desert. I had the blueberry cheesecake and I have to admit, I have never had or even thought of pairing blueberry and ginger together but it really works!

Had my Valentines Dinner here. Have you ever had a spot where the Appetizers are soooooo delicious that you havent even ordered an entree because youre stuck on the Appetizers. Love it!!

Place lost its mojo, they have a awesome setup indoor and outdoor and many choices $5 beers. They either need to advertise more or maybe aim towards broader target market (hip hop trap rap)

Vinis has the BEST food combined with an amazing atmosphere all in one quaint and classic location. The staff is all very friendly as well. I reccomend for a date night or just a chill night out.

Love this cozy little place with great atmosphere and exquisite food. A local Fresno secret for a while, you can get fine dining here with an amazing bar and patio section for outside dining.

Poor service, we waited 15 minutes at the inside bar and we were never acknowledged, so we went to the patio bar and just as worse...We waited 20 minutes, watched the dude in the suit talk and mingle with the folks on the left of us, served them up all their drinks, then decided to clean the bar and restock without saying a word to us, no greeting or just a moment I will be right with you but continued to clean...I understand its a Saturday night, it gets busy but at least acknowledge your patrons but when you ignore them and dont say a word well will definitely not go back again.

Yum had great meals with family an friends service was wonderful everything timed to perfection. Not pricey they stayed on top no one was forgotten at table there was 15 of us.

One of the best place in towers Only thing is some of the bartenders in the back need to go Or find a new job Rude as hell like the Old light skin guy that works in the back Patio bar I seen him kick multiple people out for no reason or argueing with everybody but besides that it’s a great place to vibe👍🏼

Bring your own wine. Corking fee is a charge. $10 per bottle. Pork chop is a must. Penne and shrimp with pesto is mucho.

Inside Bartender was SO rude, instead of just saying he didn’t know how to make a certain drink he chose to be condescending and disrespectful.
