Serene Massage

Asked for a female masseuse for religious reasons. They first had a girl masseuse and in the middle of my massage they switched to it to a male masseuse, without my consent! I wasn’t aware because they didn’t speak and I was on my stomach! When I confronted the manager she didn’t care and said next time it won’t happen lol. They will be no next time. Do NOT go here. Zero stars! Shame on you

My partner and I had a good 60-minute full body massage here. He wished the masseuse pressed harder on his back, which is why I put 4 instead of 5 stars, but overall the experience was amazing.

I came here for a massage and was asked for a tip after my massage. The lady in the front asked for a tip. I said ‘no.’ That’s unprofessional. The massage wasn’t all that. The lady I who do mine spoke no English

Great massage. Been going to PT & started Chiropractor recently because neck to mid back has been hurting. Did 60 minute body massage and $5 extra for deep tissue. She felt and paid attention to the tight knotted areas. Amazing.

It was my first experience of having a massage, I can’t provide you any comparaison with others places. Serene massage was a very nice place. The therapist was very professional, she didn’t speak a lot she just do her job and it was amazingly good. I feel relax after 90 minutes of full body massage. It cost $75 + tips for the therapist. I recommend this place.

Ive been coming here for a while now. The therapist is a hit and miss oftentimes, but overall its a great place at a good price. I usually prefer a man they tend to offer a better massage but women are okay too. If you have better memory perhaps ask and book your appt with the one you like. Happy feeling yall.

The massage was good but after giving the lady a voluntary 10$ tip she was asking for more. No word of English and cant communicate properly with us. She was starting to be irritated and you can see in her face. It wad a very unpleasant experience ending a nice massage in 😔

The pressure was good which I paid for $5. I didn’t like that she put too much oil on me. Most of all I didn’t like her attitude when I was giving her the tip. She acted like a child crossing her arms. As if saying I don’t like your tip. Very unprofessional.

Massage was great!Price is affordable!I don’t know if the tip has to be mandatory ($10)Only thing I didn’t like was that the lady who did the massage has her nails a little bit long, and she scratched my back. Besides that, everything was good!

The place is quaint. Nothing super fancy but the guys that work on you are pretty solid. Cant say anything about the females as I havent had them work on me before. Groupon deal seemed pretty worth it. They have good bundle deals that make it pretty attractive to purchase. Overall satisfied with this place. Probably would come back again

50 bucks, For an hour full body with stones. Stones were mildly warm only used on back/neck while prone(laying on stomach) in an encourage fashion after elbow work. Everything seemed clean and therapist checked in on pressure multiple times. A traditional eastern style massage. No focus work but relaxing firm pressure.

I had been coming here for a while. This is the last time I go I have the lady a 5 dollar tip and ended up being hounded by her at the end asking for 10$. The worst part is that she didn’t speak English so we were just trying to communicate using signs lol there are times where I tip 10, 15, 20 depending on the service provided so definitely not going back after this last experience.

Luz, he was amazing, I loved his massage, okay I went two years ago was fabulous. Today I went massage by Jason little rough although Im getting older and need little lighter massage. Im not to much into deep tissue massage. Love the hot rock, althougg massage could be little slower. Like enjoying my massage.

I was there on 10/11/20. Lily gave a decent massage but what was most shocking is my wallet was 100, light. when the massage was over! Just a heads up, dont go in there with a lot of extra cash in your wallet.

Excellent massage for the price! My husband and I went here. We did not feel at all uncomfortable with the male and female masseurs. They roll down your under garments so as not to get oil on them. They massage the the upper quadrants of your buttocks along with your back but definitely not past that. Our massages were in unison which was fun for both of us to experience the same massage side-by-side. They gave me a cup for my jewelry and offered us both cold water afterwards. Very professional. No giggling. I could hear other people speaking who where also getting massages since it is one room with separation curtains. If there was anything inappropriate Im sure we would have heard it being that we could hear a pin drop. Remember to turn off your ringers. Heard other peoples phones accidentally go off. I also heard someone request a different masseuse than the one that greeted them. You can also pick a different person if youre getting an inappropriate vibe. Excellent customer service. The place was clean. Im a nurse so cleanliness is important to me. Now the building itself outside had overflowing trash cans, but this interior was clean. I could also hear the washing machines running during our massage.

Will be reporting this business to the Better Business Bureau. Besides it being dirty, the staff is extremely unprofessional. Booked a couples massage and was touched and massaged inappropriately by the male masseuse. I had to stop him midway and I ran out. He event went as far as to snap my underwear elastic. At first I thought it was an accident so I ask him to kindly stop that type of “massage” but when he went down my butt crack (for lack of better terminology) I just got up and I couldn’t run out of there fast enough. My fiancé confronted them, and they still had the audacity to follow us out and DEMAND and harass us for a tip.They’re lucky I did not call the police. The place was sketchy to begin with and I stayed despite my better judgement. I should have followed my gut. Still shaking and crying almost 2 hours later! This place is a happy endings place and I’m sure if I would’ve accepted his advances he would’ve gone further. They place a towel over your eyes so you can’t see how they’re massaging your partner. Disgusting place and horrible massage! They have “good” reviews on here but if you want the truth, YELP them. I wouldn’t be surprised if I receive one of their rude, unprofessional responses on this review. Just know they’re even more unprofessional than their replies to bad reviews. Beware!

Went a while back, and Im sorry that Ive only gotten around to reviewing it now, but life in Los Angeles is crazy. The massage itself was great. They used the right pressure - I cant stand people that think Im delicate and go easy on the knots because that does nothing to alleviate the back pain I get from the muscle tension. So it was good that they just dug into the knots and worked them out. What I didnt like was afterward when I was practically chased down for a tip. Reading the other reviews it seems to be a common practice of theirs. What kind of pressure are the massage therapists under that this goes on? While I feel bad that I didnt come back with a tip, I just cannot condone being so pushy. Chasing people down is not okay.

We got scammed by a Groupon Deal called (HDS Thai Massage) that gave us a Fake address to this plazaTurned out to be a great Blessing because we found Serene Massage the staff was super friendly and took us in right away (esp on valentines day).Gave us an even better couples massage deal then that group-on add we saw.My wife and I will definitely be back

I tip in cash! Tips in this industry may be customary and suggested, but not REQUIRED! It was, however, something that the front desk clerk said that made me very anxious. She basically implied that the ladies giving the massages were SLAVES and that the only way they received ANY money at all was through TIPS. This is a very sketchy establishment. Who is pocketing the money for the actual massage? My advice make sure you are paying your workers at least minimum wage, and dont offer Groupons if you cant do that!!!

Went awhile back and don’t remember anything special about the place or massage itself other than being harassed and followed to my car just for a tip lol, yeah I was going to tip but had to get my card from car and cash from nearby atm .., but after being aggressively badgered I was like no way In outta here, what a joke, way to make you feel relaxed and get repeat business haha. Have had good experiences though at their sister/similar place nearby called Massage 1 Spa.

It used to be a great place to relax and have a good massage,but under the new owner it is not good anymore!, Be aware of their promotions they would sell you 10 massage for $150 then in a few months the owner changes and you cannot use them anymore. they change owners frequently.

According to the response I got, it is customary to leave a tip. Suggested, but not REQUIRED! These people were relentless. Felt like they might do something to me because I didnt want to leave a tip, and I didnt want to leave a tip because of the way I was treated. HUNTING someone down DEMANDING to be tipped - uncool!

We got a groupon and it was a good experience, we didnt really know what to expect but everything was to our liking, they were professional and considerate at all times (the only thing is that the temperature of the water or the stones could bother some people)
