Great bartenders and Great fans and great music and RIDICULOUSLY GREAT sound at PLATFORM, every time. The sound system at PLATFORM is literally the best Ive ever heard, anywhere, and its not even close. The tone on the bass is just incredible. Other venues play loud bass music and every speaker rattles and buzzes. PLATFORM plays bass even louder and its crystal clear. Love the bartenders and staff. I always feel welcome every time I walk in.

This is a great dance club. The staff is always friendly and fast with drinks. I havent done a vip or bottle service event yet, so I cant speak to that, but I have a good time when I go. They do a good job, and I dig the house music nights.

Terrible bottle service, they gave other tables their bottle first yet we ordered first. They ended up running out of the bottle we wanted so they changed the bottle to nasty Hennessy. Gave us a “free” Andre champagne which on the market it costs $7 for their mistakes but not worth it since for the bottle service we paid $317

I always have a good time here, even though the prices for drinks are outrageous. The light and music production are actually pretty good for a local venue. Has a modern feel - the layout is intuitive and I like the cashless payment system. I always end up making friends here, the EDM crowd in DSM is friendly and inclusive ❤️ Not sure why people are complaining about a lack of crowds - maybe they’re coming on nights where they don’t have a scheduled performer? I only go if I’ve checked their events page and the schedule sounds appealing - it’s always jam packed (in a good way).

Best club Des Moines has ever had. A very sleek and modern club that makes you feel like your stepping into Vegas or LA. International acts as well as a welcome home to local talent. Owners are very sweet and friendly, and some of the nicest bartenders and staff ever. Love the payment system, keeps things simple and keeps the line moving at the bar. I’ve had the honor of playing there a few times and can attest that no expense was spared in the sound system, lighting, and DJ equipment. A festival level experience that any music fan should check out.

This place is an absolute gem! They stand apart from the typical nightlife scene but offering something that Des Moines has never seen. Actively bringing regional, national, and worldwide talent keeps Platform a destination for all. The easy wristband payment system make buying a drink and quick and painless experience and allows you to never forget to close your tab or leave your card at the bar. With a modern look and feel, it feels like you’re walking into a Vegas style establishment with each and every detail being considered in the overall theme of the venue but with a local Iowa price point. If you’ve never been this place needs to be a full night stop to take in the vibe!

My favorite place to play in Iowa!! Nothings beats the sound system, lighting and LED wall. I’m not a drinker but all of my friends enjoy their drinks, a lot. Bathrooms are always super nice and clean. There’s plenty of space to lounge and sit down if you don’t feel like hitting the massive dance floor.

Platform is an amazing place to hang out with friends or catch the latest show. The bathrooms are always immaculate and as a woman that is definitely important. The drinks are fantastic and the servers and owners are pretty awesome too! You wont catch a more intimate, incredible sounding set. Top tier place to go for sure.

The owner was very unprofessional. Rented this space out for my college formal and as a venue coordinator I would except her to make my day easier but she only made it harder. Wasn’t there to unlock the doors for the table rental company and blamed me, wasn’t there at all the whole night and tech couldn’t figure out how to present our powerpoint. VERY unprofessional and rude when communicating with me.

I believe the platform is the bomb my first night of security the bartenders the DJ and all of the workers gave me something to be proud they played some excellent music I would have given 10 stars if I could have.

Thought the acoustics and the vibe could have been classier here. The website sold it as a higher end club, but the floor was sticky from drunk folks spilling drinks and drunk people were climbing on the speakers, dancing. Not the kind of experience I am looking for when I go to experience live performances.

Drinks are good. Music was just ok. Lights strobe the whole time...the whole time. This is House music not a rave. Payment system is silly. No cash is accepted..no cash. They act like they live in 2152 and paying with cash is such a burden. If you like a rave, this is your spot. If you like house music and techno and what to have good jams, drinks, and dope atmosphere...got nothing for you.

Currently the BEST club in Des Moines, especially if you like house music. The cashless system is a little different but if theres not a big name, your cover can be spent on your drinks. Atmosphere and sound is top notch (Funktion 1s). Bathrooms are the best around, clean and quality paper lol, which actually goes a long way in my books

They told me that there wasn’t a cover so I went in just to say hi to some people and didn’t even stay longer than 10 mins. What I didn’t know was that while the employees “helped” me setup my bracelet they loaded it up with $20!!! I’ve been in before and they’ve never done this!!! The employee did it so fast that I thought it was the welcome screen. I will never be going there again!And for the business model. The cashless bracelet is a not suitable for this market and will be the downfall of this business unfortunately.

One of the best clubs in Des Moines. End up here almost every weekend and never disappoints. Clean place, friendly staff, and good drinks. Couldn’t ask for anything more!!

Yikes city. I went here for a couple shows, two of those being over sold to the point where I was scared to be in front of the stage to see the performer. Litterally squished. For having a cashless system, its quite archaic. just, bad vibes.

Owner is very happy to kick people out without cause. The whole no cash system is terrible when you are a person that carries cash. The owner assaulted me then called the cops on me once. Not a great business model to attack your customers...

Amazing setup and fun exciting atmosphere…. The staffs are beautiful nice and real friendly. The music is top notch!!! Would 100% recommend on checking out this one of a kind of gem in Desmoines 💜💎

Owner is very weak. He is shallow and hates his customers. He only cares about the money. The only reason they have business if because they have a stage. The promoters and musicians do all the work. They are very lucky about this.

Do not recommend if you are looking for a good time. Whole place is set up to take advantage of drunk people and rack up their wristbands. Ambiance is empty and bleak. Don’t come here and save your money by going to the arcade bar across the street

Always a great time at Platform! The owners are amazing and have some of the best staff around. Seriously go check them out. The atmosphere is great drinks are great and music is on point!

Paid a $10 cover to find out there were only 5 people in the entire bar at 11pm on a Saturday. What a scam to charge the highest cover in the Court Avenue District and not even have a crowd

So glad we have somewhere for the local EDM scene to thrive at. Love it here every time I visit. The staff is so kind and welcoming.

Was there on Friday Night! Carrington, Hannah, and Cookie were our Bartenders and rocked it! First time there from Nebraska... We will be back!

SCAMMED!!Going into the platform they pretend to help you but they secretly preload the contactless pay bracelet with money from your card. I did not buy a single thing and I was charged $20 with no employee notifying me of a cover charge or that money was being deposited into the bracelet. I tried to call the place from the number listed on the website 6 times and each time I was sent straight to voicemail and then later that night I get a call from them asking Who is this and why do I have 6 missed calls from you? and only after I asked Is this the platform? is where they were willing to answer my question. And when I asked for a refund regarding the money that was taken without my knowledge, all the person on the phone had to say to me was that I will inform my employees to be more communicative and youre doing your part to help out... if you get what I mean. Will never be going back there again.

Best club in all of the Des Moines metro area.Top of the line sound system and completely brand new renovation.Couldn’t ask for more!!

This place moved into a residential building with quiet hours and gives zero Fs. How hard would it have been to do any research and avoid a residential building?

Sick sound system, but the owner is the armpit of the music scene. Why support that?
