Lemon Massage Therapy and Skin Care

It was my boyfriends and I first time getting a massage. We were greeted with a smile and both masseuses made us feel so comfortable. Our whole 60minutes was well spent, we both left feeling terrific. We will definitely be back:)

Its always scary going to a new masseuse; Its such an intimate experience and youre not always sure youll vibe. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a smile which helped put me at ease. Once I got into the room, it was a little brighter than Im used to. The bed was amazing!! The face hole was in the bed rather than sticking out the top (It is always so awkward to flip around AND scoot down to get your head back on the bed.) Im a bigger woman, and this bed was wide enough that I didnt need to squeeze my arms close to my body to keep them from falling off. I got the deep tissue massage with medium pressure and it was perfect. The masseuse would get up on and kneel on the bed to get more pressure. It was life changing for me, but could see how others might be caught off guard by it. Ive already booked my second massage and cannot wait to go back.

It was okay first time coming it was my birthday NO Special treatment REALLY...... I do say its a bit on the pricey side especially if you arent getting what you asked for too ........ But it was okay I do wish the person that was giving me my massage were a bit heavier on my back since I have more of my issues on my back since I just had a baby so I wish I had just a big more pressure just to get that certain kink out of my back. They did have pain relief ointment but that wasnt put to my attention that she could have used it since I said that I am experiencing pain there....... So I give it 2 stars, because it definitely could have been waayyy better And a much better experience.

Mindy (sorry I’m not sure if it’s spelled right) gave me one of the best massages I’ve ever had, loved the medium pressure and the stretches, I had a terrible day but felt like a new woman afterward! Will definitely come back just for her:)

Loved that Karen was not afraid to get in my knots and I could tell she was good at her profession. She was considerate and I felt comfortable. I felt the massage was thorough and I am excitedly waiting for my next opportunity to go.

We were in town for a concert and booked a massage on the way home. This was the best massage weve ever had, bar none. Cici was very thorough and gave attention to every aspect, and was very responsive to requests. Keren was equally amazing and took care of problem areas, as well. This was worth the three hour drive, and well be back!

Absolutely horrible communication!! Let me just start with that I couldn’t get in!I booked a month in advance for a 90-minute massage. After I booked, I then received a confirmation via text message and email of my appointment. In that message, it did ask me to confirm or cancel my appointment, but I had just booked, and I didn’t want to confirm too early.Tomorrow was SUPPOSED to be my appointment, but instead, I got a lovely message today telling me that my appointment is now canceled because I did not confirm!!! Are you kidding me?!I received NO call, NO reminder message, or email! Just a message telling me my appointment tomorrow is now CANCELLED.So I called, I’m not sure who I spoke with, but they just kept justifying the cancellation by saying I didn’t confirm my appointment and I booked a month in advance and didn’t know if I was still coming. What business just cancels an appointment because the client didn’t confirm?!?! That makes no sense!I wasn’t even offered another time or date, just a “Sorry, but..”I will never be booking here again, they are obviously very unprofessional and not worth your time or money.

I’ll start off with saying they were the easiest and fastest to book on short notice… maybe that should have been a clue.Me and my boyfriend have been wanting to get a couples massage for a very long time but it just hasn’t fit in the budget. One morning I woke up with the worst tension between my shoulders and I couldn’t take it. I need a massage. I was able to book at 7:00 am for a 10am appointment without having to call which is nice because I hate talking on the phone . This place was an hour away from where I live in Knoxville but that was okay. We opted for the 30 mins because I wanted to be able to tip both people for their service.Upon arrival they had me fill out a few questions on a tablet I notice there was quite a distraction on noise as something was being remodeled or worked on in the building. It wasn’t easy to tone out even though there was gentle music playing, but oh well not a make or break for an experience.One of the questions asked where did I want the focus to be on during the massage and what kind of pressure to use. I put light to medium and circled the area between my shoulder blades for me and lower back and legs for my boyfriend. We were then directed towards a room and told that the 30 min appointment was only for upper half of the body .. again(I guess )not a make it or break it so since it was just upper half we only removed our shirts as they instructed and nothing else neither therapist introduced them selves or ever said hello or goodbye to my boyfriend and the only exchange of words between them and I was about only massaging the upper half and the price total .let me tell you- if you want a deep tissue massage this is your place. This massage was so painful for the both of us . Infact my back now has distinct bruising 3 days later I’m in worse pain then when I went in I much rather would have waited for the appointment at blades therapy but they didn’t have an opening till today. Also over half of the massage was done from on top of a sheet covering your bodyNow I will say they did start a little late but they did massage the whole 30 mins but between the whispering from the therapists at the beggining between each other and the door chimes of people coming in towards the end were very distracting plus you could hear the construction the entire time but probably only cause I couldn’t relax fully because for me the massage was very painful .At the end I went to pay and was told the price was 240 instead of 140 I mentioned that the price should really be updated online she apologized and then said she misspoke that it was 140 .I’m just letting people know if you’re going for a relaxing soft massage that caters to your needs this is not the place . If you want something with a lot of pressure and rubbing over your shoulder blades and other possibly boney areas then go for it!

I scheduled a barefoot massage at 11. You guys were running a little late and I didn’t get the barefoot massage. But the massage therapist that worked on me has been the best masseuse I’ve ever had. I will keep coming back to lemon.

I explained that I needed my sternoclytomastoid, which is a muscle from the top of the neck, down to the sternum. I was prone the whole time which means I was laying on my abdomen. The area that needed did not get treated. Ive noticed a lot of over the blanket massage recently. Massage is supposed to be skin on skin contact. And thats where a lot of the oxytocin comes from. I believe from better training and techniques they could do a lot better. Also understanding what were saying with the language barrier.

Massage was great, they stretched my muscles and found every knot I had without telling them anything in particular. Best massage Ive had!

I am picky about deep tissue massages, and this massage was perfection. Best massage of my life! My back feels a million times better and I will be back.

Phenomenal!!! My first time here. I really needed a massage today after a difficult night. They had openings on the same day and on a Sunday no less. The therapist used many different techniques that all together resulted in me feeling like a new person. Some of the work was done over the sheet. She was also able to be on the table to use more body strength. She used some Thai massage stretching techniques as well as the ceiling bars to massage with her feet. And, of course, the long stroke “traditional” Swedish massage with oils. I cannot wait to go back!!!My second time; just as amazing as the first!I tried the Tuina massage with CiCi and it was exactly what I needed!! I always feel much more relaxed when I leave.

My experience with KEREN (therapist) there was truly awesome, and I wholeheartedly suggest it. I cant wait to go back myself.

Weve had couples massages at a few other locations and this was by far the best experiences. We feel like the masseuses were hands on for the entirety of the 60 minute session. We loved the hot stones, heated beds, and the variety of techniques used during our massages. We will definetly be back.

This was my first visit and was one of the best massages I’ve ever received. Mindy did an excellent job. She used the perfect amount of pressure. I’ve never had a massage therapist incorporate stretching into their routine and that felt amazing. Will definitely drive the hour for a massage.

My therapist was awesome asked me if there was anywhere specific that hurt. When they worked the legs would be nice to have the fronts worked to but not a big deal. My partner said something his therapist did hurt a little and didnt ask him if anywhere hurt. But other then that he said it was good. I left relaxed and comfortable during my session great atmosphere! Would highly recommend going here for sure!

This was a last minute massage since I was struggling with a very sore and achy body and decided to book last minute here and I am so glad I did!!! I felt very welcomed and comfortable the minute I walked in! Most importantly the whole mood was relaxing and most definitely felt pampered! Incredible massage. Cici used the perfect amount of pressure and I loved that she used her full body weight during parts of the massage. The table was heated so I was never cold. And the music was beautiful and relaxing. I will definitely be back!

Did a couples massage, had no idea what to expect when we got there. We were kindly greeted and brought to a basic room. There was a little confusion on our names and which reservation we were, but it was quickly fixed and two pleasant ladies performed the massages. Was pleasantly surprised, very relaxing. It was my first time getting a massage with no music on and I thought it would be weird, but it was fine. Would definitely go back.

Vivi and CeCe did a great job on both my myself and husband couple massage. Girls are details and consistent you can tell they work great together as a team. Very professional and I did 60 mins and walked out feeling much better. I recommend this two girls. First time here and will come back when we visit again someday.

Be aware…I’ll start from the beginning, my wife booked us a 90 minute couples massage.The day before they text to asked if we could move our massage 15 minutes earlier, which was no big deal.When we arrived 5-10 minutes early, there was no one at the desk and no one came to greet us for about 5 minutes. We were both able to find the bathroom in the hallway where all of the massage rooms are. It was almost as if no one was in the building.We are eventually greeted almost at the time for our massage to start and my wife fills out the iPad info and gets to the body pain points and firmness section and is quickly told to not worry about that because they will ask for it when we get in to the room. I sign nothing, no waiver, nothing at all.They direct us in to the room and there’s a towel covering a standup light in the corner to make the room dim. There was an exterior facing window which you could hear the highway and the snow plow clearing the parking lot.We were then instructed to get naked but leave our underwear on. A little odd as I usually will get completely naked for a massage but oh well.The beds were VERY hard and the head holes were rimmed with folded up towels which was VERY uncomfortable. About 5 minutes later our masseuses enter and ask us if anything hurts. Nothing about pressure or places to avoid. Then my masseuse pulls the sheet over my head and just starts pushing me all over. This went on for about 5-10 minutes. To the point where I gave myself 5 more minutes of it and then I was going to stop them, thank them and leave.Then they pulled the sheet back and started massaging. It felt very rushed and focused solely on the traditional pain spots like the shoulder blades… heavily. I’m a guy who likes a deep tissue massage so I expect a little pain when I get a massage. This was too much as she relied on elbows, knuckles, and knees (that’s right knees). At one point as I was faced down a towel was placed over my head and my masseuses feet disappear… I then feel her straddling my head. She then leaned forward and with both forearms applied pressure to my lower back. She did the same to my lower back placing her knees on my hamstrings and then glutes to press on my shoulders/upper back. It was nearly chiropractic as she would do quick and firm presses on my spine periodically. She also routinely used her elbow and knuckles on my spine which that bone to bone contact was quite painful.She then went down to my feet and tried popping my toes 4 different times. Then used her knuckles so hard on my heels that I actually jumped away from her.Then they flip us over and I realize, THE DOOR IS WIDE OPEN. My wife is in a bed next to me topless and remember when we walked in? No one was guarding the door or the hallway and we were able to walk the hall. ANYONE could stand outside this door and watch.Come to the end of the massage and my wife and I look at eachother with the wide eyed “WTF?!” Look. We were both in pain and ready to get out.Fast forward to today, my wife is still in pain and feels like she’s been “beat up.” And I now have wrist pain that I haven’t had and can’t explain any other way.Now, for the positives:When they massaged the right spots (which didn’t happen often enough) it felt great. These girls worked, even though a majority of the massage was with elbows, knuckles and forearms they still continued the pressure for nearly 75 minutes. They also moved my body to stretch and better massage certain areas, for instance: bending my right knee then crossing it over my left thigh to massage the outside of my right thigh.All in all, it was a massage, not a good one but it wasn’t the worst massage I’ve ever had. Will I be back? Absolutely not. Would I recommend it to anyone else, also a resounding no.

I was able to get in within an hours notice after struggling all day with terrible tightness between my shoulder blades. I was unable to take a deep breath. In just 45 minutes Cici fixed me right up. Amazing. My new go to for massage therapy.

I had a great experience here. i want to leave a thorough review because massages are usually a little rough for my social anxiety, and ive had weird experiences at other places, so i hope to help other people know what theyre in for.The women at Lemon are extremely professional and made me feel safe and comfortable. I loved that I was able to schedule less than a day in advance and they worked with me to find a time that worked. The environment and vibe of the place was relaxing with soft instrumental music playing and a comfortable, clean waiting area. the massage itself was great. i asked for medium pressure and it was gentle but firm, going deeper in certain places where it felt good and working out my many, many knots and tension. i loved the gentle stretching that was included and that she worked on all parts of my body while keeping my appropriately covered. she was very accommodating with my ticklish feet as well.the temperature of the room and massage bed was absolutely perfect - so comfortable.i was happy when i confirmed my appointment and received a text discouraging cancelations, and that there was signage firmly indicating that sexual harassment of the therapists was not tolerated. it is meaningful to me to feel i am supporting a business where the workers are protected.thank you very much to the ladies at lemon for a great massage and relaxing experience. i will definitely be returning!

9/10 Massage! Came in for a couples massage with my wife. We both thoroughly enjoyed our massage and time together. We didn’t know what to expect with this being our first massage, but we definitely will do it again. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable at giving massages.

The massage itself was great, but the overall environment was not. There was a lot of noise that could be heard from the parking lot and front office. I was surprised when I turned over during the massage that the door had been kept open the entire time.The face holes could be more comfortable.Pretty pricey for what you get out of it.

I booked an appointment online for a massage. I got there and they checked me in, got me into a room and all settled in. I got on the bed and one of the ladies came in and said that she called her manager, and her manager said that she had called me and canceled my appointment. I had received no such phone call, but therefore I could not get a massage. I will not be returning

We did the 90 minute couples massage. It was great. We both fell a sleep. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for some relaxation.

The atmosphere was very relaxing, the ladies that gave us our massages were very professional and did an outstanding job. This was a great start to our mother daughter day. The price was perfect. Not many places offer 2 hour massages and they were able to get us an appointment with only 24 hour notice. We will be return customers.

The service was Amazing! My husband and I did the couples massage. This was 2nd stone massage for me ever in my life. The first one I had in Omaha. It was ok. But Lemon massage is best hands down! Vivi found knots I didn’t know I had and a ticklish spot I didn’t know about. either. The atmosphere relaxing, the music soft and tranquil. Service with a smile. The lighting was just right. Very clean.

Best massage I’ve ever had. I have significant low back pain and Vivi was able to somehow work the area that I ALWAYS have pain in. I was unsure I’d be able to tolerate pressure on the area, but I had absolutely no issues with the way that she did it! I was shocked. Vivi was great, absolutely knew what she was doing!!! I have already recommended her to all of my nurse friends!!

If you want a fantastic massage, go here. It’s not a fancy spa, but you will get a real massage “treatment” here. Also prices are so reasonable. As a former esthetician who worked in some very nice spas, I can tell you they provide a wonderful massage experience.

My fiancé and I went in for a couple massage. It was both of our first professional massage. Vivi and Karen were very professional and excellent at their job. We both feel amazing and are very relaxed. In the 5 years my fiancé and I have been together, this is the first time he’s had zero back pain. We will definitely be coming back.

Booked last minute for months long shoulder pain which Viví tackled wonderfully. This is the best and most comprehensive massage I’ve had in Iowa. Since moving to the area 8 months ago, It has been really difficult finding a place to get a good massage without having to book it a few weeks to a month out. Luckily, I found Lemon Massage Therapy. They were able to book me the same day, the facility is clean, and there was a heating pad under the sheets on the table. since its 14 out I especially appreciated this bit. My massage therapist was Amy. She was wonderful. Very strong hands, and got almost all my knots out. very sweet girl as well. Thanks Amy! I will definitely be back. :)

Usually when I get a massage at a spa its more relaxing than it is healing. I need healing! Keren could tell where the problems were without me having to say much. She works hard, is very skilled, and was great about fitting me into the schedule last minute.

Staff is very pleasant. It is easy to schedule appointments online, and with specific therapist. Keren is awesome! It’s easy/comfortable to communicate with her, and she works with me to make sure my problem areas for tight muscles and tendons are addressed during each appointment.

Oh my word! GREAT massage. My 60 minute Swedish massage just finished and Im sitting in my car writing this review - Im so relaxed, my masseuse was so attentive - it was the perfect amount of pressure, the music was calming - exactly what you want. They used up the full hour (we had a couples massage), provided little waters after.I think I can probably say this is one of the best massages Ive had. We go to spas in New York all the time and I feel like there was something about this place that was just an all around great experience. Great value for the cost. Very reasonable.

Jenny is a phenomenal massage therapist - kind, powerful, gentle, and thorough. Immediately after the massage, I was in such a deeply relaxed place that I needed to recover in my car before I was able to drive. I’m moving so much more easily and navigated a busy Saturday afternoon shopping trip at Trader Joe’s with ease.

Clean, friendly. Disappointing though. I booked with Amy online, confirmed via text, and received a call later asking if I could come in the next day instead. No problem. I get there, see Amy, and am led to a room. A different person comes in and Im told Amy is with another client instead and they were going to massage me instead. I was already on the table so I felt obligated to continue instead of just leaving. They were okay but not as good as Im used to. I asked to stop early because it just wasnt relaxing. She asked how to make it better but I dont know how to give a massage, much less teach someone. Overall I dont think Ill come back.

I get massages often, and have been looking for a good place in Des Moines worth the money. This place blew my expectations out of the water after so many disappointing places before. The massage was professionally done and you could tell they were taught correctly. Felt fantastic and they didn’t miss or neglect any part of the massage. The place was cute and clean and couldn’t have left happier!Edit: been going here now over a year. Always very relaxed and rejuvenated afterwards! Perhaps my favorite massage I’ve ever had. No fuss with check in or much chit chat, then Cici knew what I meant when I said deep, firm pressure instead of other places where it’s never hard enough. Will definitely be back!

The massage was good (CiCi did it).The staff was nice and smiley even early in the morning. The one thing i wish was that the bed was warmer or you got more covers (i get cold real easily)

Amy is AMAZING! I not sure where she packs her strength and endurance. She excels in deep tissue. If you are looking for something more than the “revolving door” massage shop, Lemon Massage is a must try. If you are open to different modalities and ready to experience something other than Swedish massage, Amy is the best!

Wish u could give zero stars.Found this place on Groupon.Our couples massage appointment was given away to the couple in front of us even though we scheduled a week ahead. we were not greet when we came in. The lady finally came from the back and told us we would need to make an appointment. Another lady from the back came out and ask me for my phone number. she did confirm that I made my appointment and they dont have time for us today when though they texted me the day before.The first lady then stormed to back and we heard her said She does not do color we got up and left. I cash my Groupon back in. Dont know how well they massage but we were discriminated against when we walked through the door. I dont recommend this place especially to people of color

Be smart. Lock your doors when you are closed. Also, put a NOT OPEN sign up when needed like on holidays. Common sense is not as common as it used to be and you lost a customer because of it.
