I visit here at least weekly. Competitive prices and a good selection. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable about the growing vape and smokeless tobacco products and merchandise. The current store manager Ginger is awesome and the store is always very clean with a good layout. The only thing I can say needs improvement is it takes a significantly longer amount of time to get in and out than It does at either of the other two tobacco stores that are right next door and across the street.

Skip over this store and hit the cigarette energy drink discount store next door. Refused to sell a lighter and a wrap to my husband because both of us didnt have our ID on us. We are 29 and 35 and he had his ID and was the purchaser.

Been coming to this place for about 2 1/2 years. Joe and his wife are very nice friendly people will help you with just about anything you want to know. If out of something you want ~ will order. Really decent prices, cheaper on cigarettes than any place I have found, they charge one straight price for all American Spirits ~ regular, organic - rich full bodied. Great in my book.

Always want to support local but its hard when the price on the shelf is never the one you pay at the register. New signage that says system update is at least a warning but they have been up for months. Prices are okay selection is nothing special. A year ago I would have given it a 4 but the last two times the employees speak to me as if them checking me out is a favor...last straw for me was the employee saying are you dumb or not listening cause I put my card into the reader while talking to my friend in line. No I was having a conversation smarty pants dont let me interrupt your day ever again

Pulled up to front door and the associate that works there was outside blocking the door , smoking a cigarette and talking on the phone, another car pulled up and neither of us we allowed I to the store until she finished her smoke and conversation. Never going back! Rude B…h.

I went into the store today to buy a bottle of vapor I waited some time in line when it was my turn I asked Michelle at the counter if they had any caramel because I thought Id try something different than I usually get. we went down to that end and she pulled out a bottle and she said well its really expensive its $39 and I said no Ill just get and before I could finish she said hold on Im going to go take care of these people and left me standing there. After helping a couple more customers I said maam Im down here waiting to which she replied very smuggly well you dont know what you want. I said yes I do to which she replied you can get out of my store and go next door. I was shocked embarrassed and a little bit angry. I said I have been standing down here waiting for a long time she said get out of my store and go next door. I said thats fine I said I want to know who the manager is to which she replied you can talk to the owner Greg she obviously had no worries about him having a problem with her attitude with the customers. I usually deal with the blonde headed gal that works at night who is very very nice. Michelle on the other hand is another story rude arrogant and absolutely no clue what customer service is. She obviously claims the store as her own and feels that she can do anything to whoever she wants and takes great pleasure in it. Her attitude is its your privilege to shop at that store and that is not how a business should be conducted. Your customers are your business and should be treated as such not as someone whos bothering you. Bottom line I will never shop at the store again. Does she not realize theres about a hundred or more other vape shops in Des Moines.

My wife goes here 90% of the time because its close to home. I go here occasionally to pick up her smokes. Im clueless when it comes to some of the products and merchandise since I dont smoke. I have had many smooth transactions and experiences here with an occasional glitch of the machines not taking my debit card or with a couple of the employees who seem to give a rats ass about helping and educating a person and in the end help their store make a sale. Ill still go here because my wife sends me and BIGGEST reason is that they stay open later than the smoke shop does.

I go there everyday and get the same kind of cigarettes me and my husband always the same for the last 2 years everyday Im in liver failure so I cant barley afford them so montigos are 392 there a new woman working there she is terrible she gave us the wrong cigarettes would let us change them so they were 8 dollers and overdrawn my account we wont be going there any more 8 bucks for fortunas

I bought 2 lighters payed 3.99 and 5.99 for each got home didnt work, called and talked to worker I bought off, even went in took her lighters to look at she told me I had to talk to who was boss she wouldnt be there until that Monday thru Thursday, I left lighters there to for her to see they didnt work till I came back, I called today talk to her about exchanging them, she told me couldnt return them, I said I dont want to return just exchange, then she tells me she wont exchange either, like I told her I paid a lot money, and then she told me I should of checked them before I lefT, I told her I wanted to talk to who was over her she told me call coparate, I call store on University and was told that she shouldve exchange them, went up to get lighters back then she was changing her tune after she talk to her boss. I will not buy another thing at that store.

I have been going to this store fora while now but the lady that works in the afternoon into the night she can never find the cigarettes that I want if the employee cant find what you need or want that falls directly on the management this is not good business it would be nice if management would contact me or reply to this after all your business stays open because of us the general public.

This outlet of smokin joes is a very rude, and a very obnoxious, they do not care about the customers, they do not care about their employees health or safety, because. Cathy one of the managers went and bought eggs, milk etc.. To stay open during the covid-19. Will not go back!

You have lost a daily customer because you have gotten greedy. You now charge a fee to swipe use a bank card. I will not pay extra for a convenient that you should provide to customers who are buy your merchandise.

The people at this smokin joes are the best!!I never write reviews but i felt like if i ever was going to, this place deserves it. I drive from ankeny every other day just to spend my $ where i feel its most deserved. Thank you guys . i appreciate you.

Ld are probably the cheapest cigarettes that comparable to other brand name cigarettes. Ive had any other brands but since I stop smoking menthols. If you have any other cheaper brands let me know.

This is my go to cigarette outlet. I switched from Marlboro to LD cigarettes. Taste isnt much different but way cheaper

Sign in the window says that they open at 8 a.m. on Sundays.At 8:10 theres still no signs of life.... How can a business be successful if its not open on time?

Rode a bike about 25 minutes to get there and some goofy green haired guy first asked me for my date of birth and after I pull my wallet out he asks me for my Id witch I lost and then says cant sell tobacco to anyone without Id...and the few people before me just got asked for date of birth and no id

Never went in. They have a sign on their front door that requires patrons to remove face masks during a pandemic. I’ll never shop here, ever.
