ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS EXPERIENCE!!! I truly cannot say enough about my experience to convey just how wonderful it was. Every aspect of Aurora exceeded my expectations, which admittedly were rather high! The house is stunning and the environment is exceptionally warm, welcoming and happy. I received a combo massage, from Amanda, that involved mostly energy healing work. This was my first experience with energy work and I couldnt have chosen a better person to guide my experience than Amanda. She has such a calming and nurturing presence and clearly is right where shes supposed to be as she is innately gifted in the helping field! After the session, we spent almost 20 minutes discussing the journey and sharing insights, which brought tremendous clarity to me. It was SO nice not feeling like just another client or customer and feeling SEEN.

I’ve been to Auroraflow twice now and both times have been spectacular. It’s amazing how thoughtful and kind the staff are at Auroraflow-they really go out of their way to make sure that *every human* and *every body * feel welcome and taken care of. I cannot wait to go back for a facial and will be making this a monthly visit for massages with Brandy.

My experience with John was amazing. Ive had few professional massages in my life. So keep that in mind. My experience was wonderful. John is very intuitive, and attunes very well to what he senses in your body. He listens to your body, And even while applying techniques which can be painful, he is very gentle and caring as he applies those techniques. I honestly began to weep a bit, just from the the warmth and care in the way he touched my body. The atmosphere of the space within the building is very comfortable and calming. Ren was very warmly welcoming. And in the lobby they offer full cups of water, and also have a line of liquid incense which you can smell and choose one to be used during your session for no extra fee. I found this place to be very calming with a something of magical presence. And I found the people to be very warm, very open, very caring toward their patrons, and just very lovely in general.

Had a great experience. Prices are fair for the quality of massage I received. I saw Castle Frame, who took time to hear about why I came in and what was going on with my body. She made sure her intended approach sounded good to me before beginning. The massage itself was firm and thoughtful; responsive to all the nonverbal queues my body was giving off. It was clear that body safety and consent were priorities at the practice. Highly recommend for both the vibes and quality of the body work.

Everyone at Auroraflow is very welcoming and friendly! I go once a month for a facial with Nik. I always feel very relaxed and cared for during my visit. She is easy to talk to and very knowledgeable about skincare. I’m so glad I found Auroraflow!

I had an overall wonderful experience! The receptionist was welcoming, and Patience did an amazing job with my sports massage.The pricing is comparable to other massage parlors in the area.There is narrow street parking across the street, or park in the 2-hour spots on the side of the apartment complex building.If you live in Durham, an uber/lyft would be a good alternative for transportation.

Auroraflows website was very easy to navigate and I was able to book an appointment quickly, for a time that worked for me. I felt at ease as soon as I walked in the door. Lydia greeted me and kept me engaged and informed while I waited for my appointment. Hayley was absolutely amazing. She is so knowledgeable and experienced! She took care with each step, explaining what she was doing and how it would help with my aches. She made sure I was comfortable at all times. And for the first time in a long time, I got off the massage table easily, with no discomfort! I have already booked my next appointment!

Gules has impressed me with her ability to go right to spots on my body I had no idea were tight and in need of extra work. Her sensitivity to work with the appropriate pressure where needed and also communicate about my comfort level has convinced me that I have found my therapist at Auroraflow!!! Now I can start my teaching year feeling balanced and relaxed. Thank you so much. I WILL be back!

What a lovely space! Had a massage here earlier this week and was really impressed by the feeling of the space, the care and intention the practice is putting into including everyone and the skill of the practitioner I saw. Highly highly recommend.

I cannot recommend Auroraflow any more enthusiastically! I went here for my first ever facial with Christine. They were so welcoming, super sweet, and created such a safe space by explaining the process since it was my first time. The intake forms ahead of time made it so easy to make sure I was able to share personal health information that was relevant but can be difficult/awkward for me to bring up in person. Being able to have a confidential way to share this info and give them a heads up about how to best keep me safe was so important to me. I was also able to indicate in advance important info such as my preference on masking as well as my pronouns. I will absolutely be returning (I made another appointment already!) and recommending Auroraflow to all my friends.

This was a great experience. The front desk team was very welcoming, and I absolutely loved my massage with Amanda. She was really kind and patient with all of my questions, and the massage itself was just A+ all around. Def planning on coming back when I can.

Auroraflow is definitely my new go-to spa in Durham! We are lucky to have such an affirming and safe place for the LGBTQ+ community. Everything was fantastic, from the artistic vibe, the soothing lights and colors, and the super friendly staff.. Jessmary did my massage and she was very knowledgeable and kind, and did a great job focusing on the areas I was having discomfort. I will be recommending Auroraflow to all my friends!

The best massages I have ever had. Ive met with Patience and Hayley both. Theyve done a phenomenal job of communicating, making me feel comfortable and addressing any specific needs I had at the time. I always feel 1,000,000x better when I walk out of Auroraflow!

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The only positive aspect was the friendly and efficient front desk service. However, the massage itself was far from satisfactory. The therapist seemed disengaged, using only one hand and barely applying any pressure, despite my repeated requests to increase the intensity. I left feeling frustrated

I have never had a massage before. Amanda explained how everything worked and made sure I was comfortable. I had a lot of stiffness in my neck for anxiety and pain in my back from working at a desk. After the session I felt much calmer and my back pain was close to completely cleared up

SO WONDERFUL !! I received a therapeutic massage from Patience! They were so gentle and intentional. Communication skills 100%. Their touch was intuitive and intelligent- I could tell their knowledge of the body / anatomy was vast! Aromatherapy was included, the space with well curated and cozy, and I will definitely be back. Just had my first acupuncture appointment and it was amazing. Katie is so friendly and welcoming, and very thorough. She takes the time to get to know you and your needs, and then walks you through the process and explains everything very clearly. So excited to continue sessions and see the progress. The facility is also nice and clean, and front desk staff is friendly and helpful.

Everything about Auroraflow is really great - walking in, it feels like entering a peaceful home. Eli was very attuned to areas I wanted to focus on and was very talented. I plan to be back!

Izzy was excellent. Asked questions, diagnosed problem, fixed it. I arrived in pain and left feeling much better. Professional and talented. Izzy is a healer. One of the best massages I have ever had.

A friend gifted a 90min appointment with Giules. Admittedly, I was nervous- this was a person I had never worked with before, and tbh Ive never had a massage for that long either (thats a long time to feel self conscious! I thought)!In the end, **10/10 book again**. I came in with honesty about some pain and injuries; Giules was understanding and eager to help. Guiles found tension points in my hips and shoulders that I didnt even know existed. I noticed they even spent some extra time and tlc on tender and tight points.The 90 minute session really flew by, too! Giules made me feel comfortable and cared for the whole time- and I never once felt worried about where to put my arms or if Im relaxed enough, etc. They guided every step of the way.I walked out feeling brand heckin new, and I cant wait to book them again the next time I visit Durham. I went for my first ever Thai Massage at Auroraflow with John. I had a vague idea of what to expect, and John exceeded my expectations! Hes a very calming presence, and a very talented therapist! I left feeling looser and rejuvenated.The atmosphere of Auroraflow is welcoming and inclusive, and it put me at ease.

I just had the most relaxing massage ever by Jessmary today. When she asked me what was bothering me, she immediately targeted those areas from the get go and set the tone for the rest of my 75 min massage. It was simply heaven and I melted on the table. I had a pretty rough last few months trying to workout again and work piling up. Jessmary made me forget all about those by taking out all the physical parts of my body that tensed up over time. I highly recommend her because she truly listens and will make your experience very relaxing. Something about her presence also makes you feel welcomed and at ease on her table!Whats even more of a treat was that this spa was so beautiful inside and out. I was mesmerized by the decoration and color that went into this.Thank you so much for giving me the best welcome into this space. I was lucky to receive a gift card for a 1 hour therapeutic massage. Auroraflow is warm and welcoming and the staff is lovely. Brandy did an incredible job! It was the best message Ive ever had. She made sure to check in with me periodically about pressure and spent time zoning in on problem areas. Two days later Im feeling completely relaxed and refreshed, and even more flexible during yoga. I cant wait to return!

Cant recommend Auroraflow enough! An incredibly welcoming, inclusive and queer-friendly staff, and the person who made my reservation helped me get on the waitlist, and when I got the appointment, even helped me make it a surprise for my husband. The masseuse who took care of me, Jessmary, gave me the massage of my life. As a bartender who has constant aches and pains in my upper back, shoulders and neck, I walked out of there a new person. Plus, the aromatherapy component of the massages is so cool!

This was my first visit and I had a wonderful experience all around--warm staff and a great environment. Jessmary was my massage therapist and it was so relaxing. The tension in my body melted away!

My partner gave me a gift card to Auroraflow for christmas, and my experience was SO amazing that I bought them a massage in return as I think everyone should experience the pure healing I experienced here! Upon arriving at Auroraflow for my first time, I immediately felt calm in the beautiful waiting room. I booked a 60 minute therapeutic massage with Izzy- and we settled into a dimly lit cozy room with relaxing music as they went over expectations, intentions, goals, and general consent on parts of the body we would be focusing on. I really appreciated all of the attention and care in details- right down to changing the amount of pressure applied to making minor adjustments with comfort levels. I felt my body surrender to the experience as a small glowing ball of warm light radiated in my chest- it was absolutely wonderful. Ive been doing some strength training recently and have been a sore bundle of muscles- my body felt completely restored after the session- 60 minutes flew by and the massage drunk feeling was amazing! After the session Izzy went over a few things they noticed in my body and how I can begin to practice preventative care on focus muscle groups to help my minor scoliosis- their expertise and personalized attention to detail left me feeling cared for and focused on making my body feel the best it can be! I will definitely be coming back as Im eager to explore more services like the sports massage and thai massage! I feel grateful to have finally unlocked such a sacred healing place in the heart of Durham!

John did a FANTASTIC job for my first ever true Thai massage. I didn’t know exactly what to expect, but went in due to some hip issues related to years of running. This is my new favorite happy place. It is so great to find great practitioners in a welcoming, inviting space! Even though it is near the Durham frwy, it is surprisingly quiet and chill inside. The playlist is always mellow and never annoying. So many nice personal touches - besides all the friendly people, the art is beautiful, the rooms are painted with amazing themes, you can pick a complimentary essential oil for your massage if you want... This is my new go-to place for relaxation service!

Loved my wax appointment with Christine! They were super effective which has not always been the case for me, and gave me good guidance for the future. It’s also just nice to get a wax where I feel very affirmed, especially in a kind of service that can feel so gendered/full of assumptions, etc. I’ll be coming back!

Very friendly and welcoming folks here! Ive been getting massages with Izzy for a few months now and cannot say enough good things about them. I greatly appreciate our talks at the beginning of our sessions to gage whats needed for that day, for Izzys reactiveness to my bodys needs mid session, and for our regrouping conversations post-massage. The kindness and compassion from everyone here is well shown in everything they do. I cant imagine going anywhere else for a massage now.

I have been to Auroraflow a few times now for waxing with Christine and most recently for acupuncture with Katie! Both services were kinda nerve-wracking for obvious reasons but Ive never been made to feel more safe and welcomed than at this Spa!!Christine is incredible - so fast, professional and uplifting! I left with direct instructions for aftercare, a few awesome samples and feeling super confident! I cant go to anyone else for this now!Katie was so knowledgeable and made me feel right at home telling her all my health woes. She really listened to my needs and came up with a treatment plan we both were in full agreement with. As a trans person I was thrilled to find this place- it’s so nice when you get a massage to know the person doing such an intimate service sees and respects you for who you are and that you’re totally safe and in your community.I’ve seen Patience twice now for massage treatment because of my chronic pain and back spasms, and I’m very impressed. They have walked the line between doing deep work on years worth of knots, tension and pain, while never leaving me overwhelmed afterward. I’m extremely sensitive to massage, and in the past every massage therapist I’ve had has actually hurt or injured me, and I leave feeling terrible because it was too much. Patience really listens though, and I can actually enjoy and relax into the experience knowing I’ll come out feeling much better in my body, not worse.I have some underlying medical stuff going on and so I really appreciated that before my first appointment Patience spent some time going over details to make sure I could safely receive massage- they know what they’re doing and the risks involved with medical complexities and seemed very thorough in ensuring they’re proceeding safely.I like that you have the option of choosing an essential oil for aromatherapy, but that unless you choose one for your own session there’s no noticeable scent in the building. The oil goes into a tissue in the table, not a diffuser. For people with scent sensitivities I think that’s an important consideration.I also love that everyone I’ve seen there has been masked in an N95; I can’t mask due to a medical condition but that makes me extra grateful to see the people around me being careful for me and each other! This makes the space feel that much safer for disabled folks and higher risk people.Overall, I’m really impressed by the lovely space and lovely staff. I have weekly sessions booked a month out now, which is an investment into myself I wouldn’t normally make!

I just had my second sports massage with Izzy and wow, 10/10 stars. They did such an amazing job, were kind and considerate, really helped me relax, and worked out some serious soreness and tension from my regular weight lifting. Also, the entire studio is super welcoming and cozy. I am so glad Auroraflow has opened in Durham - what a gem of a place. I will definitely be a regular here now!

Christine is wonderful and have a top notch relaxing exfoliation facial! The exfoliation facial wasn’t harsh or abrasive either which I had kinda expected from my old days of using an apricot scrub, no worries on that I won’t ever do that again ahaha. Left my skin feeling super soft and rejuvenated. She has a magical touch. I also had my eyebrows cleaned up as well and they came out nicely reshaped.The rooms were warm and inviting and the staff who greeted me were very friendly as well.Also as a fat/larger bodied person I felt comfortable on the table and I fit into the wrap they had me put on to take my shirt off for the facial.

I was so thrilled to come across Auroraflow and Christine! I have not had a facial in years due to acne prone skin that appeared after pregnancies and never really went away. When I saw that they offered facials for people with similar skin issue I was excited but nervous. These nerves were calmed immediately upon arrival and talking with Christine. She seemed to totally understand my concerns and was confident that I too could have a relaxing and calming facial experience.She was 100% accurate, and it was an amazing experience! The products she used were so soothing, calming, and rejuvenating. She also taught me more about my skin that I had no clue about.It has been a week and my skin still feels amazing and I’ve even just starting to make some small changes to my skincare routine that are already paying off. Really looking forward to going back next month.Also kudos to the welcoming staff and beautiful rooms. The murals are lovely.

I had an amazing time at Auroraflow, with a massage from Castle and a facial from Christine. The space is so incredibly gender-affirming and size-inclusive, and the murals and decor are just beautiful. The aromatherapy included with the massage is a great touch, and the massage tables were heated! Ill definitely be back again.

This was my first time getting Ashiatsu and scar work. Hayley made sure to educate and talk with me through the process. The massage was very relaxing and allowed my body to release the tension and stress it was holding onto.The scar work was what I really needed. My mobility has been minimal as the tightness increased. After the scar work, it felt like I was coming into my body since surgery. I could feel some of the spaces that were numb regain feeling, less itchy, sensitivity, burning and less electrical pulses. It feels less hard to push through my chest to straighten my back now. Thanks Hayley!I also appreciate how inclusive the space is. I felt welcomed and comfortable.My partner got a massage from Patience and felt invited and comfortable in the space and got some great advice on how to care for her body after massage.

This was my first time checking out Auroraflow and I was not disappointed! I had my massage with Jessmary, who was very polite and professional before and after the massage. It was an excellent overall experience, have been telling my friends to set up appointments and I will surely be back again!

The staff makes you feel super comfortable, its exceptionally clean, and everything about it is professional yet compassionate.But, beyond all of that, this place is so cool inside. Each room has a different theme, and you get to pick your music, lights, and the ambiance you want. I highly recommend taking a Delta 8 gummie before to relax and vibrate with the space.Also--if youre lucky enough to meet the owner and CEO, everything about the space and vibe just sense. I got one of the best massages of my life with Patience. They consistently checked in with me and were so body-aware and considerate. They paid special attention to the areas that I had mentioned bothered me and tailored the experience to make it exactly what I asked for. I also appreciated that they employ gentle range of motion during their massage - it was different in the best way.

I recently got a 90 min sports massage, I am writing this review a little over 24 hour after. I feel amazing! I got my work done by Hayley, she got in and fixed all of my tension points and made me feel comfortable. I feel like a completely new human and will be using this service again soon!

Before this visit, I had only had one facial before and was a bit nervous, but Christine instantly made me feel at ease. She was very knowledgeable about skincare, and I left with some great tips on upgrading my skincare routine while keeping things simple. I will definitely be going back to Auroraflow.

Lovely experience with the therapist Patience. Severe headache for a week left my neck and shoulder muscles needing work and Patience was phenomenal. Very safe space, welcoming, and Patience communicated thoroughly and frequently.

Ive been going for a monthly massage now for three months. Not only had my pain from traumatic arthritis become much less, but I also have felt a reduction in stress, partially because of the massage, but also because the environment is safe, inclusive, and affirming. I am a person who has difficulty with people touching me, and I feel completely secure with this team.

When she told me she was thinking of opening her own place for massage, I knew it would be amazing and what she has created is beyond words! Auroraflow is not only a space to come to for peace, relaxation and healing energy, it’s like walking into a dream - each room has its own mural painted by local artists, creating a unique and otherworldly vibe that truly enhances the entire experience; the artwork displays like a gallery and is incredible. Where to begin!! I had the most incredible experience at Auroraflow getting my facial with Christine. The entire atmosphere is so warm, cozy, welcoming & healing. I will never go back to the sterile all white “spa” like places. It makes such a difference all the detail they take into consideration. Today was my first visit. I had a 2 hour massage with Izzy and it was fabulous. I told her I didn’t want deep tissue because I don’t like feeling soar but wanted to feel loose and relaxed and that’s what I got. I fell asleep through the last half of it. We were asked to choose a scent from about 10 to fill the room. It’s not your typical fancy schmancy spa with recorder music and birds chirping or a waiting room for people in robes or saunas but you do get the massage you want, friendly vibe and a cool, funky mix of Music in the background. Afterward, Izzy explained what areas were tight and made suggestions to help that didn’t include more massages. I truly enjoyed it.

The most amazing facial/acupuncture/cupping/etc I’ve ever had. Customer service and atmosphere is also 10/10 and so refreshing!

I had hands-down (pun intended) the best massage I’ve ever had at Auroraflow. Patience did an amazing job especially in being thorough with intake and discussion afterward. Usually people are too gentle with my shoulders but Patience was spot-on with my pressure preference. The muscle tension relief released a lot of anxiety too and I will definitely be returning monthly!

I recently got my first ever facial from Nik & it was awesome! The facial itself was relaxing, but more than that I appreciated that she was able to meet me where I was as a skincare beginner. The recommendations she gave were thoughtful & practical.

I cannot recommend Auroraflow enough! I have gotten two facials in the past month, and my skin is glowing. Christine has a warm and welcoming presence and is very knowledgeable — there are no dumb questions. I had a bad reaction to a previous skincare line (not from here) and Christine was able to get my skin back on track in no time. I have very fussy skin but the Hale and Hush line has been the perfect balance. I plan to book a massage next, but if theyre anything like the facials, I know theyll be great.

I have been to 2 separate sessions since December 2022 for the Thai Massage with John. Both times have been amazing. The best part is each massage was completely different from the last with a focus on correcting and improving the pain I was having. John was great as he listened to my needs up front, and then adapted as the massage was ongoing to address points of stress and tightness. John spent to time to show me useful stretching and yoga positions to use at home so that continue to live more pain free.I highly recommend this service, and my interactions with the rest of the staff makes me believe any service offered will be just as amazing. Auroraflow was obviously started as a business of passion, built on a message of comfort and welcome to any and all.

I got a massage from Patience at Auroraflow yesterday. The inside of the business looks amazing with all of the art and decor. Patience was very thorough before, during and after the massage. They also made sure I received the right pressure for the massage, took care of my left shoulder that has been bothering me. I haven’t had any pain in it since the massage. They were very attentive to any requests, question, concerns that I had. I will be booking with Patience again and I recommend anyone/everyone to give them a try, you WILL NOT be disappointed.

The salon itself is absolutely beautiful, and the murals in each treatment room are absolutely breathtaking. This place is special. I have had a deep tissue massage with Castle, a Thai massage with John, and an Ashi massage with Hayley. All were incredible. Christine was very professional and attentive. With a little back story Christine new just how to fix my eyebrows. Best deep tissue massage I have ever had. Technical, scientific, targeted - Izzy is a master of their profession. I went in looking for a good recovery massage after a 30k run. Izzy opened a larger discussion about all aspects of my body and functionality. The next day I was amazed to find I had recovered full mobility in my neck - something I thought Id lost with scoliosis and other issues. I have experience with deep tissue/sport massage improving mobility - but I never knew the results could be this dramatic. I will definitely be coming back.

EVERY staff member here is amazing in all services and the front desk. They care about you, are thorough, and make sure you are comfortable. The colors and ambiance is so unique room to room, and is honestly a piece of art in an older refurbished home done with lots of love. I cannot wait to see how they grow in the future.

Outstanding!!! I had a Thai massage by John. From the moment you walk in you get a sense of “Warm and welcome”. The scent of Sandlewood, the serene colors at the front desk just makes you feel happy. I just knew this was gonna be good. The room I had my massage was perfect. John was absolutely phenomenal. I am not your yoga stretchy person and my body aches from this. John was so sweet and gentle I flat out cried tears of happiness. His disposition, knowledge and deep healing wanting to make you feel better attitude cannot be explained only lived. Ive been a longtime client of Christines, but when I moved from Raleigh to Durham, I stopped getting facials from her. I was thrilled to see that she was bringing her talents over to Auroraflow and went for my first facial this morning. She is so thorough and exudes comfort and gentleness - I always leave feeling like my cup has been filled.I love that Auruoraflow have a membership model as well - it makes it super convenient for me to prioritize self care. The actual location was fantastic - super colorful and customizable once I was in the room when it came to lighting colors and aromatherapy. I already cant wait to go back and am excited to see them grow!

I had my first facial ever with Christine earlier this week, and Im still glowing! She took the time to really understand my skin concerns, and had lots of sage advice to help me optimize my skincare routine. I really appreciated how she let me know what type of sensations were about to happen (cold, mist, soft bristles, etc.), so I would feel more at ease. I have very sensitive skin thats prone to eczema flare-ups, and the products she chose felt effective, yet gentle.

My facial with Christine was truly such a magical experience. It felt like energy work and love and care all wrapped up into a facial! I cannot recommend enough. All in a very welcoming and safe environment as a whole 💗

Front desk is super friendly and helpful. The cinnamon chai tea is amazing. The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming. I booked 90 min. with Izzy for 90 minutes and afterwards I was totally refreshed and full of energy, and also was provided post care tips like exercises for my specific upper back issue. You will leave with a lasting impact. Would sum it all up as intuitive and spiritual.

Best massage!! The entire ambience is wonderful and relaxing. I was provided a tea from Asheville upon checking in that was super tasty. The bathroom was very clean. The room I was in was huge and very inviting and calming. The scents for aromatherapy were all equally great smelling which made it hard to choose. Patiences hands were absolute magic. I was so relaxed I drooled more than once, no lie. I was asked how the firmness and everything was feeling mid-massage which was great and I had no other words than this is amazing. I feel great! I will be back!

Christine is an amazing aesthetician that I have been seeing since long before the opening of auroraflow. Ive noticed a significant improvement in my skin health since seeing her and she always has knowledgeable insights into skincare. The location is lovely and the murals are beautiful. I thought it was really fun that you can pick the lighting color in your room and your aromatherapy scent.

I woke up with a neck strain and was able to make a same day appointment. Patience was able to give me a great massage (very professional) and alleviated the pain I was experiencing. Very cute esthetic and great to support a small business. I will be back in the future :)

I was not aware of the intensity of Thai massage. Im 74 yo with 2 total hip replacements. I dont feel like this particular type of massage was explained to me before hand. Some of it was very painful. Staff told me it was wonderful without explaining to me what was entailed.I felt like they just wanted to fill that slot. John was very nice but his txprobably suited for a younger client
