If I could give zero stars I would. I’ve consistently had issues with my account and friends account for over a year now. To pay good money & constantly have so many issues due to managerial changes is unacceptable. We literally each paid monthly for services stuck in a membership we can’t use, get bck nor could transfer. That’s not ok at all. We’ve contacted them directly numerous of times being told the district manager would be in touch but never has. I would rather take my business elsewhere & pay more than to deal with a company who takes your money and doesn’t care.
Very disappointed in this location. Had an appointment scheduled and had a physician tell me the day of to cancel an appointment due to a new diagnosis and injections received. Reached out to reschedule and was told I would still be charged for the visit even with an illness / emergency. Was told it would be 50% of the total and have just received the statement and they charged the service incorrectly and charged me over 70% of the total. Extremely dissatisfied in the situation that has occurred.
DO NOT BOOK A MASSAGE HERE!!! READ THE PRIOR REVIEWS AND RUN AWAY!!!! I wish I could give them 0 stars. I booked a same day appointment for a 60 minute intro massage since I had some upper back pain. I go to check the details of my appt an hour later on the app and it was rebooked as a RTR 30 min massage. I even took a photo of my booking where it said 60 min intro massage at the time I booked it. I tried calling the place 30 TIMES to get this corrected with no one picking up the phone or calling me back. I finally get ahold of someone (ONE HOUR BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT) and I was then told I booked it incorrectly (false and extremely unprofessional front desk staff) and would have to pay a cancellation fee if I didnt rebook. I am in a ton of pain and couldnt rebook to a later date. The horrific customer service and LACK of professionalism at this place is unreal. Do not waste your time OR money on the people that work at this location!!!!
Had 11:00 appointment with Jesi who never showed after I waited 25 minutes took my daughter for her birthday both of us was scheduled took her back with someone else. I drove 50 minutes to get to this place very disappointed in how this place is run
I could not be more disappointed with the customer service and professionalism of this location. I booked 2 appointments at the same time for a friend and I. Massage Envy canceled one of the appointments only 65 minutes before it was to start. They were completely unwilling to reschedule both appointments and instead insisted on charging me 50% for canceling the other appointment even though they canceled on me. To make matters worse, the receptionist would not allow me to speak to a manager and simply hung up the phone without a resolution. I would strongly encourage patrons to go elsewhere. Integrity and professionalism are abysmal at this establishment.
Very disappointed. Looking for a new therapist and with great pain, decided that a rapid tension relief session was perfect. Surprise! I could get in within 45 minutes of booking! As I walked in the door the receptionist was calling me to tell me that the therapist that was offered online for Rapid Tension Session doesnt actual do that. But she could offer me a 30 minute massage in its place. Sure! I sat there in the tranquil room for 18 minutes. Apparently the therapist had no idea.... In this day, if you offer online booking I get technical glitches, but dont offer them if no one pays attention to last minute bookings per the therapist she wasnt even aware I was there. But she could fit me in. No I did not stay. You are not fitting me in, I booked you, it is not my fault that someone there dropped the ball. They werent even apologetic for wasting my time.Never again. And I still have pain....
Save your money and go elsewhere. Similar to other reviews, my appointment started late and ended early. The entire experience feels very much like a doctors office instead of a relaxing, zen environment. My therapists was clearly sick, was yawning throughout the session and even stepped out mid-session. She had long fingernails that left scratch marks on me. When I told the front desk person all of this, she simply said, Ok. I submitted this same feedback to the manager and through Massage Envys online portal. Never heard back. Poor customer service. Even poorer experience. Dont come here.
*** Update: I posted a great review 11 months ago as I never had a problem. Today was the first time in 9 years I’ve had an issue. I’ve never missed or cancelled an appointment from my end. There have been multiple times they’ve cancelled due to illness or vacations and I’ve always been super understanding. Today my car wouldn’t start and I couldn’t make my appointment. They charged me for the full appointment, which is outlined in the contract. I’ve been a loyal member with zero issues for 9 years and there was no one time pass and the person I spoke with was rude. I didn’t feel like a valued member and I hate that people and companies treat folks like this. Now not only did I pay for a massage I didn’t receive, but I have to pay for unforeseen vehicle expenses. Just not a good day. ***I’m reading through other comments and have definitely had a very different experience. I’ve been a member since 2014. And monthly massages I didn’t use were accrued and I’ve been able to do 2 massages a month to get caught up. Scheduling has been a little difficult with staff shortages but if you book in advance it’s no problem. There have been times my therapist ended up sick and they’ve always called and tried to rebook me ASAP. I love Kalie W. and highly recommend her. They’ve never tried to upsell me and have always been super pleasant.
Be careful when signing up for one of their memberships because they will continue to charge you even after youve requested cancellation multiple times. I am now having to process a fraudulent charge claim with my bank because massage envy refused to fix the issue, even when presented with proof. I really wanted to like massage envy. Massages were decent quality and the massage therapist was nice but it just isnt worth being financially taken advantage of.
Beware, They cancel multiple appointments while taking your money, rarely have appoints closer than a month out, and when you want to cancel you will need to fill out a form that they never send.I was charged for 2 months after being assured that my contract was canceled after the term limit of 6 months when I called in to ask as much. When I called to tell them of this mistake of theirs they said it was an honest mistake that they will gladly send the forms but will not refund the money.They reasoned that I should have known better and it is not their fault they did not add any notes on my account when I called to request cancelation a month before the end of my contract.After speaking with Mary who was not even the manager, I was informed that they could maybe do 1 month but not 2 as I should have been more careful. As someone who works in customer service this level of shady dealings and disrespect is abysmal.For anyone who has thought about it, stay well clear of that place or burn your money, youll get more value from the heat.
My massage started late and ended early. I was taken back around 5:40, was dressed and at the front desk by 6:19. When I realized the time, I mentioned it to the person at the front desk and was told I needed to speak to the therapist. I decided to just pay and leave (adding no tip) because I was in pain. Therapist worked really hard on my TMJ and was probably tired but I could not take more work in that area and had to tell her that her nails were scratching me. She could have worked on the other area I requested but I guess she was too tired? Not my issue! I paid for 50 minutes and didn’t receive that . Not returning.
This massage envy front workers are very unprofessional and disorganized. You will get last minute cancellations & then won’t rebook you for weeks. The massage therapist are great. Just be weary of the management and front staff.
Update: I filed a BBB complaint, like many other customers, and the Southpoint Clinic tried to blame the Chapel Hill clinic for it. BBB responded to me and said each clinic was blaming the other clinic. They finally refunded the enrollment fee, but didnt call me or communicate that to the assistant manager until I visited again to complain. You have to file complaints, call and visit repeatedly for Massage Envy to actually do anything. Terrible company!I initially joined at this clinic several years ago when it first opened and I had a membership for a couple of years with no problems. I only canceled my membership because I was moving out of the country. I should have paid attention to the red flags and bad reviews before trying again. The person who was helping me with my membership was no longer with the company the next day, and the people at the front desk could not answer my questions about membership so they gave me the phone number of the manager. The manager never returned my call either.I should have just stopped there and realized that the awful reviews about this place were true. I went back in and asked questions about membership, but again they could not answer and told me to wait about 15 to 20 minutes for a lead therapist. She signed me up for a membership at a discounted corporate rate due to an organizational affiliation and waved the enrollment fee. She said I wouldnt be charged until a month later when I would get my first credit. I wanted a credit earlier so she said she could charge me today and I would have a credit for a massage immediately. She handed me my membership packet with only three of the four coupons I was originally shown but no receipt or contract and I figured maybe it would get emailed. Weeks later, I signed up for a massage at a different clinic closer to me and the app showed I wasnt a member yet. I signed up for a 90-minute massage even though I only had one credit and I knew I would just pay the difference.At the clinic, they didnt realize I was a member and didnt have any forms on me but I got the massage anyway. Afterwards, they said it looked like I was a member but I didnt have any credits or charges. It was 10:00 p.m. and the clinic was closed. She said she would hold the appointment open and not close it out until I could get this sorted out at the Southpoint clinic since they had clearly messed up my membership. Her records showed that I was charged an enrollment fee, not for a massage credit, and not at a corporate rate. It was unclear what I was going to be charged on my next billing cycle.I went back to the Southpoint clinic and asked to speak to a manager. It wasnt her fault and she was not someone I had interacted with. She was being as helpful as she could. She offered some solutions after speaking to her district manager, and it was then that I realized I was not actually a member. The massage therapist who gave me a membership did not put it into the system correctly and did not have me sign any contracts. She also had charged me a membership fee which was supposed to be waived. I told this assistant manager that I no longer wanted the membership and that I was done with this company. I now have to pay full price for a 90-minute massage and it is unclear if Im going to get my enrollment fee refunded. There are so many better options out there.Do not get a membership here.If for some reason your masochism and desperation leads you to continue to pursue a membership, choose a different location with better management. Find out when their next available appointments are because you will wait weeks for an appointment with the few therapists willing to work at this place. I would also advise you to ask for a paper copy of anything, since their covid policy is not to give people receipts.
I really loved my masseuse but the customer service here is ROUGH. They were trying to sell me on a membership and allowed me to test out a therapist twice to make sure I liked her. First time was great. Second time, they couldn’t schedule me for a long time and then there was a family emergency with my masseuse so she had to cancel. Instead of trying to squeeze me in, they could not schedule me in with this same masseuse for another 3 weeks! The appointment day finally rolls around and the confirmation text listed a DIFFERENT, male masseuse. Turns out my masseuse’s schedule changed. They never called me to confirm that this switch was okay, which is incredibly unprofessional, not because it was a different masseuse but also because they switched me to a male. I called to sort this out and again instead of squeezing me in, they didn’t even try to get me on the schedule! Needless to say, I won’t be getting the membership! They also never answer their phone.
I been a member for years now and this is how they treat their members now?! I booked my appointment a week in advance. I made it clear I needed two appointments at the same time for me and my mother for my birthday. The problem is when I get there they tell me my therapist left for the day sick. They did not call me before to give me heads ups. I wasted my time even showing up. I also asked to reschedule me for the following day or the day after. She didn’t even look before she tell me they were book up. Worst massage envy I have ever been too. Don’t waste your time going here because you will not receive a massage.
I generally feel taken advantage of financially at Massage Envy. If youre looking to have a relaxing time and then up-charged at the front desk after already purchasing a membership, that is the experience youll have everytime at Massage Envy. The monthly membership ends up getting wasted no matter how hard you try to book appointments etc. I constantly get up-charged for a service that was never discussed on the phone nor during the appointment and I constantly question, What will it be today? at the front desk. Try calling. No pick up. Try booking online. Apparently my account doesnt exist. Its truly not an ideal experience when you just want to try to relax or do something good for your health. If you want to get out of the contract there are forms to fill out etc that make the process very difficult. I highly discourage going to massage envy and suggest you look elsewhere. Please take this as a warning and read the agreements carefully.
I loved it here. So clean and neat (as to be expected). The staff was so friendly and although they are required to ask if you want to purchase a membership, they were not pushy at all. They answered all of my questions and took time to ask me questions and explain everything. They made me feel really comfortable. The massage was great! Exactly like I asked and the massage therapist really focused on my problem areas.
I barely ever go online to write a negative review about a place but having been a member here for a little over a year now, Ive ignored my fair share of situations that I thought were unprofessional or unacceptable. However they just kept happening. Not only have I had a few bad services here but Ive also been a victim of their poor management, not answering the phone, not being able to book me, cancelling my appointments over and over, rescheduling me to then call the day before to reschedule me again. At one point, I showed up for a scheduled massage and was waiting in the parking lot per COVID protocols. I texted I was here and didnt hear anything for 15-20 minutes so finally I called them to say hey did you get my text? Im waiting for my appt in the parking lot. Turns out my therapist wasnt there and my appt had been cancelled and NO ONE called to tell me. I had to talk to several different receptionists to finally get someone to agree to credit me on my account for their mistake and my wasted time/gas. The only reason I continued to go here is because Raquel is one of the best massage therapists Ive ever had and she really always took her time with me and explained what was going on with my body and muscles. She is very sweet as well and really seems to care about her clients/their health and wellbeing. Going to see Raquel for a massage was basically the one thing I looked forward to every month to help my chronic pain, arthritis, and autoimmune flair ups. Anyone with chronic pain, depression, etc understands how desperate they are for relief and so to continually have my massage appointments fall through last minute is incredibly frustrating. Plus, the membership payments are still drafted every month even when I cant get in because of their scheduling errors. Furthermore, during COVID, I called to cancel my membership and they told me I had to come in, in person, and sign paperwork to cancel. Are you kidding me? What a scam. They have now rescheduled me with a new massage therapist because they cant tell me whats going on with my appts with Raquel and so I will be trying a new therapist there to see if its even worth dealing with their poor management. I will be looking for a new ME location, or a new spa in general. NOT ONCE has the manager or owner EVER reached out to me personally to apologize for anything, yet they will claim they value their paying members.
I have had my membership for over a year and really enjoy it. If my favorite massage therapist wont be available the next week, I ask them to recommend someone for me. The reception staff are friendly, and accommodating; if they are busy with other clients they acknowledge you and let you know when theyll be with you. The facility is quiet, calming and consistently clean. You know Massage Envy Southpoint is good when you find out, accidentally, 3 of your peers also go there and love it!!
Im very disappointed with my experience from today. The lady who did my facial was excellent. She was very good at her job and she made me very comfortable and relaxed.But the customer service i received was not up to par. It was my first experience at any massage envy. I had received a gift voucher from a friend which is what prompted my visit. I went in Monday and was told i needed to make an appointment. Which i did. I arrived today on time to find out my appointment for my massage had actually been scheduled as a facial. Reluctantly i went on with it. After services were done i was told the voucher had no money balance and was asked to pay for services. When i refused the lady got a nasty tone of voice saying she had to talk to the owner. I had to wait for her to handle a situation that was really not my fault and was late for work.
I have never had any problems with any aspect of this Massage Envy. Every time I go the front desk ladies are helpful and friendly. The waiting area is a little small but with relaxing music and wall colors, its very comfy to spend a few minutes waiting. The best part of my experiences has been my therapist Erica - Ive gone to see her once a month for the past 5 months and each time has been terrific. Its also nice that they offer regular massage and hot stone - I find both to be helpful and worth the price. I agree that the tipping arrangement combined with lower prices may cause confusion but overall, its worth it.

If I could have given a “minus star” I would have! Having a chronic lung condition, I was literally accused of having Covid. Having passed the screening & this condition listed in my profile, I was made to feel extremely uncomfortable & discriminated against! Apparently the manager was onsite, but never approached me nor met me upon my departure. My 90” massage never came to be, because 30” minutes later we were still discussing my asthma. I left in tears!! Education for the staff is not a priority!! I would never recommend this site! Ever!! Perhaps the staff should consider other professions if they are uncomfortable with the public during these times! Critical thinking is not a thing, but discrimination is tolerated! Beware! Avoid at all costs!!
As with others, I had a very poor experience with their membership contract. They try very hard to sell you, without having much time to think about it, into signing up as a member. They ensure you at the time that you will have options for canceling but then work hard to make sure you dont.I had to freeze my membership half-way through the year for medical reasons. Before the contract freeze was up I moved. The closest Massage Envy to my new location was over 60 miles away. I called multiple times to cancel before my membership was ever unfrozen. They said I needed to fill out paperwork first - but it took them three months and multiple phone calls to send the papers. To top it all off - they want me to PAY them for the months it took them to send the paper work and then immediately forfeit the massages I just paid for in order to cancel my account.Poor business practices. Poorly managed branch. Poor customer service. I will never go again, let alone open a membership.
I came here once for a massage. It was okay. But they kept my credit card information on file without authorization and have billed me for appointments Ive never made. I called them to sort it out, and after accusing me of no-showing appointments I never made, ultimately agreed to issue me a refund. Except that they never did. Cant image a more unethical business practice.
This location was much better than the Chapel Hill location. The massage therapists were much friendlier and better at their jobs. They seemed to enjoy their jobs and want to make your experience a good one. I was brought to this location because the Chapel Hill location flooded after Hurricane Florence . I think I will stick with this location from now on.
I have booked several massages with various therapists at this location and I have had a positive experience each time. The front desk staff is courteous, helpful, and efficient, the therapists have all been professional, and Ive been very happy with the quality of the massages here. The facility is relaxing, and the management has been easy to work with. Highly recommend.
I have had plenty of massages in different locations. I came to this one the first time and the masseuse was willing to massage a sports injury in an uncomfortable location. She put me at ease and made me feel comfortable. Because of this, I immediately signed up for a membership because it is like getting a Groupon massage price without the Groupon stigma or hassle to get in appointments. Also the monthly membership helps me take care of myself since its already paid for. The next masseuse was just as friendly and attentive. Its more than a massage, its body care, which surprised me for a chain location. I would definitely recommend this location and also highly recommend the membership, which was not a hard sale. No complaints about management or front desk, very friendly.
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! I had a similar experience as other reviewers with their massage contract. I didnt know my credit card on file with them had expired and they did not reach me about it before sending a hefty past due bill to a collection agency, negatively affecting my credit. It didnt matter that I had been a customer with them for years and they had already made many hundreds of dollars off me (I got massages infrequently) - they felt they had to money-grub for more and wreck my credit in the process. I tried to talk to the manager about my bill and she would not return my phone calls.In addition, the overall quality of their massage therapists is not very good. There is usually only one or two who do a good job, and they are in high demand, so its not easy to schedule an appointment. I strongly encourage everyone to avoid Massage Envy!
Very sad to experience a completely terrible treatment by this ME branch. As a member, Have gone to many locations and always been kindly treated everywhere else. But here, the manager, the receptionist, the massage therapist at this location Southpoint Durham were unkind, rude and without customer care or service. Only concerned with policy (taking $45 from me for nothing and would NOT let me come in for my massage even though there was still an HOUR left and they were charging me). I was one min away -- and even tho I was late (due to a mad dash to help stage 4 cancer patient get meds). Could have really used the massage bc of caregiving a cancer patient! The manager would not even get on the phone to discuss. I wanted to come in -- and would have tipped the therapist beautifully for my mistake in temporarily forgetting bc of cancer patient med issue. No flex, no grace, only greed & POLICY. I had to pay for NOTHING. DO NOT EVER GO HERE.
Loved massage Envy. My Esthetician Sarah was amazing. She made me feel so confortable and guided me to my next step. I signed up for the membership and I cannot wait to keep getting my skin to where it needs to be.
I have been going to Massage Envy for several years now. I found a fantastic therapist and have had good service from folks at the front desk every time. As far as the policies for payment, I think possibly having more flexibility with the contract time so rather than a year with automatic renewal, you would contract for 6 or 12 months and be responsible for renewing to keep your rate. If you let it expire, you may have to re-contract at a new rate. All in all, its a good deal.
I have never been more frustrated by a business being unable to fulfill scheduled appointments. I have a membership with massage envy and scheduled a couples massage last month for my husband and myself as well as a facial for me. The day of, I received a call saying someone had called out and I could not get my facial that day. I asked to confirm my couples massage, but the clerk had only scheduled my massage when I called, not my husbands. We rescheduled for the next month, and again the day of, I receive a call saying someone had called out so my husband would not be able to receive his massage (thus no couples massage, yet again). Is it that difficult to maintain a schedule that has people on call or back up? Why now for two months in a row have we still been unable to get our massages? Dont book at this location, its unlikely youll actually get what you scheduled.
Dishonesty of services and prices. The men that was working at the front desk did not take the time to listen to what I was trying to tell him. I was a new customer. I was told by the person that scheduled my appointment (3 days prior coming in) it was going to be $70.00 for the Microderm service. When the service (Microderm) was completed and paid. I was charged $120.00 for the Microderm service (same service I was told it was going to be $70.00 when I made my appointment). Its not RIGHT to blind side/lie to customers when it comes to prices. DO NOT COME HERE!!!
UPDATE!!!!! After I canceled my membership, they fraudulently charged my credit card for an additional massage despite the fact that I had multiple credits, and I had an email from them where they admitted I had these credits. They also broke the law by treating my minor daughters account as an adult account, despite promises that her account would always be linked to mine.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I tried to freeze my account due to COVID, esp. since I am in a high-risk category. I wanted to work out some kind of a solution that did not have me building up a ridiculous number of credits, especially since I have been a loyal ME person for the past 15 yrs and when I pointed this out to the manager, she effectively called me a liar, saying We have only been open since 2005 so WHATEVER on you. (I joined while living in another state)Despite already having lots of credits, she insisted that I had to keep on building up credits and if I tried to cancel , I would have to use them in 60 days - basically saying that either I put my health at risk or lose all this money, instead of doing to the right thing and giving me a reasonable amount of time to use the high number I already had.Massage Envy is a greedy company that does not care about your health. Run, dont walk, away from a membership - they are like the timeshares of personal wellness, sounds good initially but a nightmare to get out of.
My therapist, Frank, is awesome! He works really well with my severe arthritis, and is an all around nice guy. In addition, Ive never had a scheduling problem in the two years Ive been a member. Billing has also been flawless, and the front desk staff are great!
My husband bought me a gift card for my birthday with the understanding that it wouldnt be a problem since I am disabled. On Halloween night at 9pm. we got there 20mins early to fill out form. 45mins later the girl at the front desk came to tell me they could not do the massage due to my health problems. I asked for a refund. She told me No and asked me to leave. No Services and very rude. Would like my refund....Kim
Southpoint is a beautiful location, one of the bigger ones ive been to. Super nice front desk and talented therapist. Signing up for a membership is one of the better decisions Ive made! Just make sure if you need to cancel you call a day in advance or else there is a charge :/
This is the worst place ever! The customer service is absolutely terrible!!! I scheduled 2 massages for my daughter and a friend who was 17 and no one said she needed a consent form. After 15 minutes being there my daughter calls for me to pick them up. Instead of telling me too much time has passed, please reschedule, they proceed with the massage. They get 30 minutes but I paid for an hour. When I called to talk to them because this is unacceptable, the so called manager WILLIS tells me he is not going back and forth with me and hangs up on me not once but twice!!! I can understand if I was yelling and screaming or cursing but I wasnt. When I ask for his name and manager he hangs up the second time. AGAIN UNACCEPTABLE!!!! I usually read reviews before I try places but my daughter visited a location in California and really liked it but the SOUTHPOINT location in DURHAM HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! Dont waste your time or money there are other places in the Raleigh-Durham area that are much better!!!
Very disappointed. My son and I both had massages. While his was good, the girl that did mine wasnt skilled at all with someone that has Fibromyaglia as was claimed. I didnt get any knots worked out even though I asked repeatedly during the massage to press harder. My son purchased the massage for me and they completely messed up the charges. They used my sons credit card to pay another persons account and though they refunded the money, never bothered to call and warn us. This resulted in overdraft fees on my sons bank account. When we advised them of the issues of the erroneous draft, they acted like we were the bad guys for being upset! They seemed surprised that we should have received a call FRIDAY when this occurred instead of my son realizing it on his own when he looked at his account on SUNDAY!!!!! I was mortified at how they treated us and acted like we were out of line for requesting a refund of overdraft fees. They continually raised their voices and belittled both my son and I during two different conversations. The management at this store should be completely ashamed of themselves. They shouldnt blame the owner as they did repeatedly during this three day torture fest. Additionally, the front desk staff is in dire need of basic customer service training. NONE of this would have been an issue if they simply took responsibility for the error in the first place and JUST CALLED US!!!! Neither my son or I will ever ever ever go back here.DO not go here if you want a GOOD massage or anything that resembles customer service!
Therapists dont show up to work and cancel at last minute. The therapists are mediocre -The good ones leave quickly.Terrible policies -If you are a member you can only give massage you paid for to one person a month. You lose pre-paid massages after 30 days when you cancel.What a scam.
Dont go. The massage is lackluster and their business platform revolves around swindling their clientele. They have many signs that state prices, but these are for members only; a fact you wont find out until after you get the massage. So youve had your massage, they of course vary in quality, based on the therapist you get. Now the sales pitch comes in. They tell you the price for the massage you just received is actually twice the cost of the member listed price. They then proceed to muscle you into a contract that is no less than 6 months. It really turns out to be 7 because they neglect to tell you this month doesnt count. The membership automatically charges your account for a massage every month, regardless of whether you use one or not. Your membership automatically renews if you forget to cancel after 6(7) months. If you do manage to break free of their corporate shackles, all the massages you paid for and didnt use are null and void. Massage Envy has the class of a free clinic and the business model of a cable company.
Ive been a member at this location since 2010 and Ive never encountered such unprofessionalism. I have been waiting for the manager to return my call for weeks now after my prepaid massages could not be accommodated due to them being short staffedEvery time I call the staff will pick up and immediately put me on hold or not answer all. Im still waiting to speak to a manager about my issues at this location. I will be canceling my account and either move to another location or a different franchise altogether. This has been ridiculous.
Had the best massage at this location today! I was hesitant at first due to mixed reviews, however I found out during my recent visit this site is under relatively new management... I first spoke with Catherine at the front desk who recommended Valerie based on what I was looking for massage-wise. Both made me feel extremely comfortable and confident I was in the right place, in a word; awesome! I would highly recommend giving them a shot, I will be back as soon as possible! Thank you guys!
I have been a member for many years and I have been very happy with my experiences. Since I have so many prepaid massages that I havent used yet, it was suggested by the front desk that I gift them to friends/family. When I called to schedule the appointments, I was informed that I had to pay a $10 transfer fee per gifted massage as well as having to call the Massage Envy where I became a member (Brier Creek) to request a transfer of the prepaid massages to the Southpoint location. It all seems very convoluted to me, why cant Southpoint ME call and transfer the gift massages from the Brier Creek location to the Southpoint location? I am certainly disappointed with this customer service experience.
Massage envy at South point, Durham, NC has been charging me member ship fee even after emailing a cancelation request. Any follow up call, I always get a standard response saying there is no manager here and Ill pass the message. Its been over a month, every person that takes the call has always come up with the same excuse. Ill be posting the very same review in better business Bureau next. Looks like a shifty business/owner to me...
Massage Envy at Southpoint is one of the better locations I have been involved with. Considering I have been to 2 other locations.The atmosphere is always calming, the front desk reception is always warm and inviting.And the therapist are well trained and knows their craft. I have worked with 2. My main therapist is extremely trained, and is very caring and shows concern as we journey to making me better again. The 2nd therapist is also very trained and caring, I have used in the absence of my regular therapist, and I can truly say that the sessions has been and is making a hugh difference in my life.My over all experience has been wonderful. I look forward to each session with great anticipation, knowing that regaining a sense of wellness is just a few finger tips away.Its life changing.Thank you Massage Envy!!
I was visiting in Durham for the weekend and decided to have a massage. I called Massage Envy and got an appointment with no problem. I was very pleased when I went in, the staff was very nice and accommodating. I was lucky enough to get Frank and was very pleased. I felt like a new woman when I left.I would recommend this Massage Envy to anyone.
Very unprofessional!! Our couples massage was cancelled 20 min before our appt time. Manager was very indifferent & lacked customer service. No accomodations or compensation was provided to keep our business and for the inconvience put on our anniversary plans. I understand life happens & people get ill, but the lack of accountability & care is ridiculous!!
My experience was awful!! Worst massage I have ever had. I told him to focus on my back neck and shoulders and he didnt even touch my neck or shoulders hardly. He felt knots and went right over them. Didnt work on any trouble spots. Completely left out my lower back. I left with more pain than I came with and did not feel relaxed or rejuvenated AT ALL! My neck now hurts and left with a headache and my knots I had are now amplified!! It was all pushing, no massage or focusing on anything. I feel like the whole time he just pushed on me with no relief. I do not recommend him at all! Also was very loud coughing and the room was super cold.
Now that the southpoint location is under new ownership and management, Im receiving the best customer service Ive ever received from this clinic. I look forward to my appointment every time and find myself going more often then normal. All staff are professional and helpful. Especially Leah.
Massage Envy South Point is awesome! I have regular message therapists whom I can rely upon, and when he/she isnt available, the front desk helps me with an equally helpful healer! Massage therapy is a great way to stay well. I rely upon regular massage therapy to reduce stress, reduce pain in my back and shoulders. In addition, I experience better circulation and general good wellness. Therapists at Massage Envy South Point listen well and make sure the session is what I want and need. I feel safe communicating with the front desk and therapists whats going on for me and the best way I might heal. Call them today!
Theyve gone up on membership but still a good value. However the facility at South point has taken to charging a $15 if they are not your home locat its just not worth the extra fee.
Just found out they canceled my account and sent it to a collection agency without a phone call, letter, or email. Ive had an account for over 4 years. Tried to cancel multiple times but its always a song and dance. I guess my cc expired and this is their response. Im filing complaints with both the NC Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. Beware of predatory business practices, theyve lost class action lawsuits for a reason.Update: I tried resolving this and confirmed through another location that their own records show they did not contact me when my cc expired. Many similar complaints on BBB for this location. I have now filed complaints with the Attorney General and BBB.
Consistently one of the only ME that does not answer the phone.
Great location, helpful front desk staff and manager, and awesome therapists. This location was not the closest to me but started coming here for prenatal massage after disappointing experience at the closer location. Was never disappointed here and will likely continue to come here even postnatal. In particular I would highly recommend Daniel!
Massage Envy (Renaissance Pkwy) has been a wonderful place for rejuvenating my body and spirit during an exceptionally difficult time in my life. I look forward to it for days before each appointment. I see therapists there who are as good or better than any I have experienced anywhere in the world--and I have had a LOT of massages in the past 25 years!

I have had three scheduled massages, all of which have been cancelled or moved due to various staff sicknesses and family emergencies. I understand that things come up, but the consistency with which this has happened is not excusable. Massage Envy has lost my business.
Very enjoyable. The atmosphere is relaxing from the beginning in the peaceful quiet room to the end when the therapist brings you a drink of water. Everyone acts friendly and professional and pays attention to the details of your experience. Looking forward to going tomorrow!
Benny is an amazing massage therapist. She is skilled and intuitive. She healed my frozen shoulder 90% in two sessions. I believe she has an amazing natural ability and clearly takes her work very seriously. I highly recommend Benny.
VERY BADIf you want a massage, go somewhere that will deal honestly with you.Please never ever take massage envy member ship.They will cheat with all their clauses and steeal all your money. Being a loyal member I was paying monthly member prepaid and I couldnt use because of my medical problems and pregnancy. Now I was asked to pay 10 more dollars to use my pre paids which doesnt make any sense. Which means either they are forcing me to use all the prepaids in a month or if I have to use it monthly I will have to pay 10 dollars more.Which is basically I am paying more on top of what I have paid. I dont understand the point of taking member ship when they dont consider their members health conditions as well.
Burlington NC Location - Horrible customer service and all they care about is getting you to sign that contract. They were pushing to get the contract signed way before my wife even got here massage.Highly recommend you avoid this place and find someone else.
The front desk staff is excellent, They take the time to place you with the right therapist based off your needs. All the therapist are warm and welcoming. I recommend this location to anyone looking for warm and friendly service!

They are hopeless. Appointments cancelled and they don’t phone you so you show up and there is no massage. But if I had missed my appointment then I would have been charged. Horrible administration. Don’t use them
I am a member at Massage Envy on Renaissance Pkwy, Durham, NC. I think it is a good value for the price, and Im always able to get in for appointments, even at the last minute. The hours are also very convenient!
This place is great, I look forward to my monthly massage and relaxation. I love it so much I got my grandmother a gift card! The atmosphere plus the therapists makes it well worth its value.

Massages were good. Met expectations. However, the moment you step in your off put by the small entry way and I really felt always rushed and pressured to sign up for the monthly service and ad-ons. Its off putting and not condusive to a relaxing environment.
I love the therapists!! The front staff is another story. Leaha who has braces and bangs that are too short is not friendly. Not a good first impression!!!

Customer Service I have to say it is pretty bad, the staff are not very friendly and they take forever to return phone calls, then take a lot of time on the phone trying to figure out how to enter my information in their system and then they cant arrange a group of three, because they get confuse. if you ever need to book for a few of your friends be very patient.
I didnt know that this is the biggest location in North Carolina. Since they have new management and great staff, I really enjoyed my entire experience from the time I came through the door until I got back in my car. Theyre awesome!!!!
Daniel and Francois are absolutely the men. Daniel offers more of a sports massage style and Francois seems to do more deep tissue for me. Love them both for a productive moneys-worth massage!

Really good massage therapists who have different skill sets. They will customize your massage to your needs and they have great hours.
Decent massage envy. They have a lot of therapists so its usually easier to get an appointment here than at they one.in chapel hill.
Worst reception staff. On repeated occasions I have made an appointment only to find that it wasnt correctly input into their system. Today I drove 30 minutes to learn that the appointment I made by phone several days ago wasn’t in the system. Staff could care less.

Do not sign up for a membership with this location, They will not stop charging my credit for the monthly fee after I have stopped the membership. This has been going on for over two months now.
They were incredibly rude and do not understand the meaning of customer service. Management did absolutely nothing to remedy the situation either so that shows you how staff is not only empowered but emboldened to treat customers poorly. I wouldnt recommend this location to anyone. Ever.
The worse experience ever they were 30 min late. Wanted us to take a 60 min instead of 90 min. Very poor service still sitting in waiting room for a 11 am appointment
