Deep tissue therapist used fingers and elbows too much causing pain the day after. Finger nails dug into my shoulder blades several times. Went back at 1:54 and therapist wrapped up at 2:13. Two front desk girls gave me the typical rebuttal, we leave ten minutes for starting and stopping time when I brought it to their attention. Still didn’t account for the therapist finishing almost ten minutes early, in addition to the start stop times. Give your front desk girls ways to resolve things and customer service training so they don’t argue with guests and or look at them with blank stares. Not a good experience at this location.

Before covid I could get in for a 90 min massage any time. Now, the late afternoon/evening appts are slim and are usually men doing the massages. I don’t have a problem with a male therapist but the ones I’ve had from here, including the bountiful and Farmington station location haven’t been very good.The 90 min facials are good but they focus more on massage my hands than my face.I cancelled my membership and have found a new place to go.
VERY DISHONEST- Bad BusinessMy husband and I had an account for 3 years and only used it a handful of times. My husband went in and requested to close both of our accounts. He was only given a form for 1 account. He requested that they both be closed and thought they were both closed. We noticed a few months later (July 1) that they only closed his. I called in to rectify the situation, close my account and get a refund dated to when my husband closed our account. They told me the only way to close my account was to sign their form, closing it and stating that I would not seek a refund. I refused to sign as I wanted a refund dated back to February, when my husband went in person to close both accounts. Regardless of the they refused to close my account and kept billing me. Now understand that we already ate over $2,000, in services we did not use over the last 3 years, and that I have not used my account in over a year and a half. My husband went in in person and closed both of our accounts in Feb. of 2022. I called multiple times and was told a supervisor would get back to me. No one ever called me back, I received 2 emails stating to close it, I had to sign a form that stated I could not ask for a refund (July 16th and 11/11). They continued to bill me. I requested to close my account via phone multiple times, but refused to sign their form as I was going to request a refund only dated to the day my husband went in. My account did not get closed until 11/29/2022 after I sent a please help to their online franchise (how did we do). I am not trying to scam anyone we already ate over 2 grand, that was our error. I just feel it is decent customer service to say hey there was an error when your husband came in, and only one account was closed we will be happy to take care of it, instead of charging for services that were never used and continuing to charge up to today. My husband and I had not used the account in well over a year. Not once did they say I could close my account in writing and did not have to sign their form. They sent me my contract today, 11/29/2022, where it states that I have to close it in writing, not one time did anyone tell me this (they told me I had to sign their form). My account was finally closed today, (I hope) and I was rudely told that there are no refunds in their policy regardless of the situation. I will indeed be savvier in the future.
Their membership program is the biggest scam. We signed up in St George thinking it would force us to go monthly and get out together. We currently have ten credits because they either cancel on us the day before or day of our appointment and then when we try to reschedule, there’s nothing available at any location for months. We’ve tried to cancel with multiple managers at multiple locations and they are way more concerned with charging your card monthly than any level of customer service. I can’t wait to be done with our contract that Massage Envy has breached 7 out 12 times.

I bought two gift cards directly from the Layton branch, for my wife and her sister in law for Mother’s Day. While in the store, the lady said all they had to do was call, and they had slots open a week or two out, which was fine.When they called, not ONLY did they not have appointments out for a month and some change, but just today (the *day before* their appointment) they *texted* to say the appointment was cancelled for medical leave, and the appointment would have to be scheduled for either tomorrow morning (which isn’t possible because my sister in law works) or not until *August*.A little business advice for the Layton branch: if you have medical reason to cancel, don’t throw your clients under the bus and push them out for another month. Make new time slots, find someone willing to reschedule their other appointment… do whatever to get it together and figure it out how to reschedule a *reasonably* quick appointment.PS If I had paid cash instead of buying gift cards, we definitely would have gotten a refund / cancelled / gone somewhere else
Its been such a long time since I had an amazing massage. I had the privilege of meeting Carrie. She was amazing. The conversation was great and before I knew it I was asleep in the table. It was the most relaxing massage Ive ever had. I definitely recommend Carrie. Also the staff was very polite. I will definitely come back next time I am in Layton
I’m writing this review for my mother since she doesn’t have an account.This has been the first (and last) time she has ever been to the Layton Massage Envy location. She was very upset with how Angela treated her; she was rough when taking out a body part and tucking under the covers, didn’t focus on the spots she requested, and the firmness was terrible. My mom wanted to leave feeling sore and relaxed but left feeling like nothing happened. Thankfully she didn’t pay since she had a gift card but she still left a tip for the poor service.
I have had my membership with these guys for over a year...when it started, I had great experiences. I was happy and felt great after my sessions were over. Lately, it has just been one bad experience after another. The most recent, I had a massage scheduled for 10 in the morning. They called me at 8:30 and said that the girl who was scheduled to do mine hurt her shoulder, and couldnt see me. 90 MINUTES BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT. Like, I get that things happen. But they really need to have the same cancelation policy that they give to us...24 hour notice or pay the cancelation fee. Surely they knew that it wouldnt be able to happen before the morning of. They did the same thing to a family member a few weeks back as well. Im just so turned off by it, and theres a good chance Im going to cancel my membership with them as well.
I have been going here for several months and love it. They give reminder phone calls if you give them your phone number. The rooms have never been too cold or too warm. The therapist Ive seen has always been on time. The staff are wonderful and its a relaxing environment.Massages are not a full hour, but they need this time to prepare the room and likely give their hands a break. Expecting a full hour is expecting too much, in my opinion.Membership requires a contract, but if you read the contract and understand it there arent any surprises. If you dont understand it, ask for explanation. If you dont agree with the terms, dont join and just pay the extra cost.
I have never experienced a massage before. I went in for the first time and was a bit nervous and did not know what to expect. The front desk girls went over everything and introduced me to my therapist. I LOVED my massage! They customized it just for me and my needs. I felt so relaxed and at ease. They worked on my neck and shoulders and I did not realize how much tension I was holding in them until after my massage. I felt SOOO much better! Thank you all so much for your excellent service!

Instead of honoring my price that I have been at the whole time, they have decided to begin raising prices for loyal customers.You think that they would want to keep loyal members who are essentially guaranteed money every month. I will be canceling my service on the first date my price rises.
Went and got a massage with my mother in law. Absolutely fantastic. It was my first massage and I wasn’t sure what to expect but everyone was very very nice and professional. They made me feel very comfortable and the massage was amazing! Love it and will definitely be back!
DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! The monthly membership is a racket. I have 5 monthly credits on my account, because it is hard for me to find time with travel to use them up in time. Initially I did not want to do the membership option - I asked if they would put a stop after the initial 6 months so I could catch up on unused credits, and I hate having the monthly obligation and inconvenience. Six months comes and goes and they are still charging me, even though they said at the front desk it would end in September. My bank issues new debit cards, so my payments no longer go through. Im informed I cannot use my existing credits without an active membership! Seems odd ithey are called credits, since they cant be used! I have no credits whatsoever! Fast forward 4 months, I still have not had time to schedule a massage. Today, I think its time for one, so I call. I am now informed in order to use my existing credits, I have to pay for the 4 months I have been inactive. Im going to be charged $200, earn 4 more credits and will now have 9 credits! They also told me there is a new freeze service where you can freeze your account, and use your built-up credits all for the low monthly FEE of $10. So in order to use my 9 credits it will take me 9 months to use those up. All for the price of an additional $90 in monthly freeze fees. That whole racket means Ill have paid almost as much per massage as if Id just paid for them on-demand without the membership! Save yourself the hassle and just go to any number of the local massage outlets where you can get just as good of a massage for less than the membership price to begin with. Im going to eat the cost of the lost massage credits and just tell everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague, and instead find a good local place to refer them to. Ill be sure to update with a new review when I find somewhere worth paying for. Too bad, because the facility and the practitioners are nice, but the business policy is reprehensible. Oh, and my fiancee who has been paying for years now has cancelled her policy and moving on with me. Good luck.
I have really enjoyed my time working here! Management is kind and works great with my school schedule. The staff is also flexible and considerate and works very well together. This is a positive environment to be in and guests are always impressed by the cleanliness of the clinic.
Unprofessional and worst customer service ever! Im shocked! I called to make an appointment for myself and 2 clients. The young girl I spoke to was so rude and acted like she hated her job. I thought this was a normal request for competent people, but apparently not. Youd think I asked her to do something awful. She was annoyed and didnt know how to do it, but not sure why this was too difficult? She stated Im hanging up, so youll have to talk to someone else and ended the call. Then refused to answer the phone. Im cancelling my membership and will never use their services again!
The front desk staff is always so helpful and friendly! Kira is amazing and always helps me with all my questions and makes sure I have the best experience. The massages are the best around and customized to my needs. I’ve been to lots of other massage places around and non beats the massage envy in Layton!

I honestly loved my experience at this Massage Envy! The atmosphere of the store was so calming and I could tell as soon as I walked in. The employees made sure that I was taken care of and that my appointment was ready. The therapists that worked on my body made me feel very relaxed and it felt so great getting the entire body massage. I would definitely recommend getting a massage here!
Husband surprised me for my birthday with a massage at Spa Envy. My neck and shoulder had been stiff and hurting for about two weeks when I went. The staff were very professional and kind. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. You couldnt help but feel relaxed. After I was checked in, I was promptly taken to a waiting room where I waited for less than 5 minutes while the room was being prepped. The massage therapist came and introduced himself and asked me questions about my visit, if there was any pain, areas to avoid/focus on. He made me feel at ease, and worked out the stiffness and pain I was feeling. Would recommend.
I love my monthly massages. They keep me physically and mentally healthy. Really disappointed with the fact that there will be a price increase effective August 2, 2021. Weve been going for more than 8 years! Going monthly because of our membership. I feel that the long time members who have been committed and dedicated to supporting your business are being punished. Im rethinking my health and wellness journey.

I had an incredible experience at Massage Envy Layton last week. I had a 90 minute massage with Lauren, and it was fantastic. I had a sore back when I came in, and it felt so much better already by the time I walked out. I also tried their new facial waxing treatment with Barb, which was great as well! I will definitely come back, and would recommend Massage Envy Layton to anyone!
I have been to Massage Envy Layton twice and both visits have been fantastic experiences. I spend a lot of time at a desk for work and both times a left feeling great with much reduced shoulder tension. I definitely recommend giving this location a visit! I know I’ll be back.
I absolutely love working here. The staff is great and so is management! One of my favorite things about working here is that the schedule is a set schedule so you dont have to worry about when you are suppose to come in each week. Also if you need time off they are very flexible. I would highly recommend this place for any services or future employment.
I love massage envy - All the therapists are knowledgeable and very friendly. The front reception area are very friendly and greet you by name. Only thing I would change that you get a FULL hour or FULL hour and a half massage - Often times, the massage is started late and ended early - all around great atmosphere and service though - I would and do recommend to family and friends.
This place is a cheap strip mall spot, DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ANY OF THE PLANS, ITS A SCAM, they say the payments will automatically stop after a certain amount of time and they dont. And when I discovered this I asked to be taken off the plan, which you cant do in person. You have to be sent an email from them to cancel. I asked for the email and never received it. And had to call again later for someone else to send it. And when they did it is an un-editable PDF that you have to print out yourself and fill out, then scan it or send a photo of the completed form. One of the worst run business I have ever seen. And of course you cant gift or refund anything.
Excellent massages, facials, chemical peels, microderm infusions and stretching! Also the employees are fantastic and always help answer my questions and get me scheduled easily. The membership keeps my cost down and is convenient. Would recommend.

A 3 seems fair to me. The massage was amazing. Blake did a phenomenal job. Likely, i will return just because of him.That being said, the facility isnt great. Their relaxation room (where most places have dim lighting and tea) felt like a doctors office lobby. There were a lot of sounds, like maybe construction. In the room itself, the music kept cutting out, which made my breathing focus more difficult. If Blake goes elsewhere, i would follow him.
Missed an appointment due to an unforeseen medical reason (chemical burns). Was informed Id be charged for the missed appointment anyway. Asked to speak with a supervisor & instead of one calling me they called my home location in Idaho to charge my card on file. Their policy is to charge you - no exceptions - but if the therapist no shows they wont refund you, only rebook you. The one massage I had here was perfunctory. This was the first and only missed appointment Ive had (long term massage envy customer). Its the zero leniency and uneven policy that I take issue with. Ill look for another franchise or massage business before Id return here.
Ive been to many different massage businesses in China, Europe, and the US, and Massage Envy in Layton is one of the best. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the therapist Tawni is one of the best therapists I have ever had. She is well-trained and knowledgeable, and took her time evaluating and taking care of my stress points. Im looking forward to several months of massages to fix the issues I have. I highly recommend Massage Envy for therapeutic massage that will work out your stress and put you back on the path to wellness!
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ANY MASSAGE CONTRACTS!! I wish I could remember her name, but one of the front desk workers talked me into signing a “6 month” contract, but really signed me up for a year. I trusted the girl and didn’t bother to look at the dates she wrote down, but I guess commission was more important than honesty. I’ve spoken to friends and coworkers, and I’m not he only one to have this happen to them. They have recently decided to charge a $10 dollar fee on top of the money I’ve already paid if I wish to gift a massage to a friend. On top of that, I recently did gift a massage to a friend, only to have massage envy call her shortly before her scheduled massage to cancel. All in all, I have not been impressed with massage envy, especially the lying staff.

Ive been a member for about 2 years and I asked to waive the cancellation fee due to forgot about my appointment and they called the day of to remind me and I had already forgetten about it and was on my way to work.. so i asked to waive the cancellation fee and she refused and said nothing we can do for you even tho I’ve pair for 8 months of services as well that i havent used yet! Horrible place! I wont be going back this location at all and once ive used up my paid sessions im going to cancel and never refer any family or friends to this horrible place!
Since I’m leaving a negative review, I will spare her name even though I do remember it. However, the massage therapist that gave me my massage was very unprofessional, talked the ENTIRE time she was massaging me, and basically just rubbed lotion on me. I didn’t feel refreshed or relaxed afterwards, i felt jiped. My muscles and sore spots were not addressed. On top of that the front desk girls were very snooty and seemed to be judging everyone that walked in. I don’t get massages often, but if I ever get one again - it won’t be here.
I would avoid doing business with them.A couple of years ago on their anniversary, my dad bought my massages at Massage Envy in Layton. Because our life has been crazy busy ever since then, I’ve only been able to use 3 massages but have been charged for 1 every month since then.I dont understand why buying the gift resulted in her getting charged when she wasnt able to use the massages. She built up a huge backlog and it sounds like the staff gave her a hard time. They are now charging an extra $10 for family members to come and try to use the massages. I guess their idea of compromise is to ask for more money.

HORRIBLE SERVICE. I called in on Friday May 3rd to make an evening appointment that they stated they had available. I made the appointment, and unfortunately we had a scheduling conflict to get my wife in for her appointment that exact day so we needed to call right back. I called back less than 5 minutes later and explained we needed to push the appointment forward to Monday (before Mothers Day) which would be May 6th. The lady was very short with me on the phone and said yep we transferred it. Youre done.. so I asked if she at least wanted my wifes name to make the correction? She took the name down and said it was good to go, she ended the call short, quick, and very abrupt.Fast forward to the good to go date and my wife goes off to get her 90 min massage for Mothers Day (Monday May 6th 715pm). She gets to the front desk and is told they dont have her name in the computer anywhere & they dont have any appointments for that day open? She calls me asking whats going on. I get ahold of a Manager and not only did they horribly misspell my wifes name in their computer, but their Good to Go date change was pushed to Monday May 13th (the day after Mothers Day). I explained the entire thing to the manager and the best answer I got was... well we can still keep you scheduled for the 13th. I again explained this was a Mothers Day Gift, not the day after... she apologized and offered the same solution several times over.Didnt catch the name of the person who was so short with me when making the appointment change, but wish I would have as this turned into a horrible experience. Culminating into a blown Mothers Day relaxtion gift. Now Im half tempted to just give away the $50 gift card my wife has so we dont ever go through this facility for our massage needs.Sincerely,Sorely Disappointed!

I get a massage here every month. Most staff members give the same massage every time unless I want something different. I have paid a lot of money at other massage facilities and felt like they were winging it.
The ladies at the front desk are always so helpful and nice. The massage therapists always ask where you like them to focus or avoid and they listen. Wish I could spend more time here!
