Had dinner this evening at the newly opened backpage and I have to admit they have the best burger in downtown lowell! Perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The hours are great for early risers and those who work or go to class in the downtown area and also for you night owls. Live music and comedy are a major plus but honestly the burger itself was worth the trip. Staff is beyond friendly and very attentive. Menu has changed and will change again most likely to incorporate new dishes with freshvseasonal fruits and veggies. When live music isnt playing they still play smooth jazz through the speakers making it a perfect Date night or just a quite place to read a book or use a laptop. Come and check out what they have to offer and trust me, get the burger.
Love this place! Lowells newest and best social hub. Great people, great location, great food, great entertainment.
Many excellent musical offerings. Located in a beautiful urban setting on a canal next to Middlesex Community College, the University of Massachusetts Inn & Conference Center, and the Merrimack Repertory Theater and a few steps off Merrimack Street, the central boulevard in historic Lowell. Great cocktails are at premium prices but are a good value because theres no cover charge for the wonderful music and ambiance. Walk over to the lock and dam on the Pawtucket canal for a beautiful view day or night, as the dam and falls are fully illuminated. The Blue Taleh restaurant next door on Merrimack Street offers a trendy setting, great cocktails (like the Sake To Me with ginger liquor), and excellent sushi, Thai, and Asian specialties.
The beer is good and well priced, and the constant live performances give you a reason to keep coming back. Includes an open mic for comedy/music on Wednesdays, and a good way to meet people and support local artists. Theres no food however, and the bartenders can be a little distracted.
Nice location for live music. Not too many beers on tap, but they were all solid picks. Saw a great 3-piece rock/blues band, and the acoustics were pretty decent for a brick building.
Love this place, love the music, frequent often. Tonight I bought a beer for $5 dollars from one bartender and then ordered the same beer from another bartender and she charged me $6. I then politely said I think you over charged me for that beer. She then checks the price and says your right. Then she pulls out a dollar, slaps it in front of me and says here is your precious dollar. Wow... I like this venue but that bartender will never serve me a drink again. I dont understand some peoples purgative...
Nicest owner ever , food was great also !
Great venue for live music! A small, intimate club that books fantastic talent on a regular basis. Decent beer selection and no cover.
Wednesday night is open mic night. Great variety of entertainers, friendly bartenders!Al-around great night and great atmosphere. Not to miss....
Great little club. Dont go there hungry though, no food. Music, atmosphere, and people are great, very friendly atmosphere.
Small bar with flowing beer. Small intimate atmosphere. I was there for a funk show. That was killer.
Business owner treats performers with no respect and therefore I would ask you spend your money elsewhere.
The New Year Eve Bash there lasy night was fabulous#
Great variety of music and nice blend of people
Great music and great drinks!
I love this place.
