Expedia TeamYou all should be ashamed of yourselves for allowing this to happen and not giving a refund regardless of their Oyó Hotel policy.DO NOT book the hotel is closed and if you do you will not get your money back because of Oyó Hotel policy.How does policy work if you book your room and the hotel is closed, why are they allowed to keep your money?

It looks like it used to be a really nice place but its pretty run down now which almost made it feel more personal. I loved exploring the halls and hanging out in places I probably wasnt suppose to. I only had one towel in the room and was too shy to ask for more towels so that was a little inconvenient. The employees were very nice. The key card didnt always work and at one point, I had to ask for a new one. I met a very sweet cat that I let into my room briefly. I named her cankle. She had a broken tail that didnt seem to heal right.

1st…upon arrival there was no desk clerk as she was checking to see if another guests room was clean. Although she was very nice. When we pulled into the parking lot, it was not lit up and we thought it may have even been closed down. When we got to our room, it was disgusting. It smelled awful, carpet fresh was sprinkled all over the very stained up carpet and looked like it had not been vacuumed in forever. Spider webs in the corners. No bag in trash can. Nothing was on the bed but a sheet and 2 pillows. No cover. The bathroom mirror was nasty, there was no toilet paper, nor towels. The toilet was nasty, the floors nasty. Didn’t look like they had swept or moped in months. The floors were so bad, we had to wear our shoes at all times. I felt just as nasty after my shower than before. The towel she got for us (just 1) was stained. The smoke detector was in the drawer. I told my husband we only needed a shower and a few hours sleep since we had been driving for 11 hours and it was cheap. So I guess you get what you pay for. The outside structure was pretty and it has potential to be a great place but needs a lot of work! I wish I could share the pictures cause I took them in case they didn’t give me my deposit back but thankfully they did.

This isn’t the same as before. When I used to come there. Anyway, In the past, It had thick blankets, carpet vacuumed, nothing destroyed, it was the best hotel. Along with breakfast and superior services. I can go to for a weekend break from stresses of life. I…I can’t explain the level is distress and sadness I’ve experienced coming back to this hotel with someone. First thing, I had to open the front automatic doors to come in. The reception was okay. But the broken lights and missing tiles should’ve been a warning to take your money back and leave. But I didn’t. When I booked this hotel, I had a suite. When I got up there, they didn’t have it. So they gave me a standard king room with no extra charge. I was okay with it. But I would like the difference back. I had room 607. In the room, the TV remote didn’t work. By the AC, on the right, part of the wall and baseboard is destroyed. The only thing in the room was clean was the bed. The carpet wasn’t vacuumed, the floor or tub wasn’t clean in the bathroom. There wasn’t any bath towels, just small hand towels. No toilet paper at all. The nightstand on the right was dirty. The room smelled funny. I never felt embarrassed to bring someone and not check the room. I would rather clean the room by myself. Than anyone who is paid to clean, to clean like that. I felt so bad and angry; I was debating on being the hotel housekeeper for FREE! Talk to management or something about this hotel. The only thing I like about my stay is that it was quiet. This used to be a high quality 3 star hotel. People used to come here for their graduations and other events. Not it’s like a trap motel. I pray for this hotel to improve and bring back its former glory. Pools, fitness area, breakfast, everything.

Well to begin with I reserved 2 rooms weeks ahead of stay. I talked to hotel front desk personally on the phone to make sure reservations were made and made correct. I asked for 2 rooms next door to each other, one smoking king size bedroom and one non-smoking queen size bedroom, also one was to be handicap accessible, as well as ground floor. I was assured numerous times during the process that everything I asked for was possible and taken care of 100%. Upon arrival, I was met with a nasty attitude, when I brought up the fact that everything about my rooms was incorrect and opposite of what I reserved and was promised. My elderly mother was supposed to have an accessible room and didnt receive that. I was given 2 rooms upstairs, which she is almost physically unable to do without complications. Both rooms were non-smoking as well. The first night one of the rooms we couldnt even get a working door key to be able to leave our room, and was told if we left and locked it that the front desk person would not come let us back in our room. The rooms werent bad except the fact that they were totally opposite of what was reserved and promised. No fridge in one room for some reason. Also each room had one full size bed instead of the king and queen size beds reserved. Finally got a key to work for second room the next morning after getting maintenance involved, which they did what was needed in a timely manner. We have stayed at this hotel numerous times with no issues which is why we decided to come back, but after the treatment and total disregard for what was reserved this will be the last time coming to this hotel. There is a deposit of $100 for incidental damages or it is also forfeited if you smoke in a non-smoking room. I decided immediately I would forfeit said deposit and I smoked in my room anyway. Its not like its a 5 star hotel and majority of the rooms have been smoked in regardless of smoking or non. I reserved a room to smoke in purposely so I wouldnt have to go outside to smoke, so thats what I did. Maybe at some point they will do what their guests request, especially when stay is planned and reserved in plenty time ahead to be accommodated with options and types of rooms requested and promised. Totally disgusted with service received upon arrival. Definitely will be the last time staying and if it wasnt for short notice of incorrect rooms and accommodations I would have canceled this reservation completely and went elsewhere but it wasnt possible. Front desk staff needs to be addressed and either properly trained to deal with customer service or replaced with someone that cares about customers and not afraid to do their job politely and to the best of their ability. I hope someone replies to this and really does something to better this hotel to make it what it once was. Until then I will tell any and everyone to stay away.

So my family and I stopped here from NC. The pictures looked great on line amd the lobby was beautiful but unfortunately I didnt read the reviews. First, I was told they didnt have any clean towels because their laundry room was shut down. Whatever, it was 3 am and I was exhausted. She did give us a discount which I appreciated. But then we parked to go to our room. It literally looked like a trap house. There were people walking around, smoking weed and carrying guns out in the open. The room had weed and a white substance on the night stand and had roaches!!! The front desk did give us a refund and we left. Found a better hotel in Bossier. I have NEVER seen a hotel this trashy and horrible in my 37 yrs

DON’T STAY HEREThis place is horrible the pictures on the website are lies. The rooms were horrible bullet hole in the door in our room. Toilet leaked Nasty mold mildew everywhere. Rooms aren’t clean no blakents Doors on the outside didn’t even lock people in and out doing drugs even the person that checked us in was doing them right up front also it says free breakfast they don’t offer that. People yelling and fighting all night in the hallways. This place needs to be shut down. Would never ever even think about staying at this disgusting place again. Shame on all the false advertising

Do not stay here. The pictures listed on every website are old and outdated. There is no gym the pool is out of order. The outside area is grown up and unkept. The rooms do not come with comforters, the outside doors are sealed and do not have room numbers. There are windows broken everywhere and glass shards laying throughout the parking lot. The rooms themselves are dirty and unclean. The front desk employee is rude and uncooperative. The doors on the inside look like they have been kicked in and barely lock. The sheets and pillows are dirty and unwashed. This hotel looks like it is straight out of a horror movie and is absolutely the worst place someone can stay and they are not very willing to give refunds.

Do not come here. Anything but this place. The rooms were horrible an sheets was dirty. People hanging outside doing whatever. Me an my family felt unsafe. I paid for Friday night Saturday night Sunday night coming from out of state. Checked in Friday night got to the room which seem like it was in a back alley or some got in the room noticed how nasty it was and went to office an requested to check out early. Me an my kids was not going to stay in that mess.the front desk informed me that I’ll get my refund in a couple days we’ll couple days turned to months an months I called an called they lied and said they sent it back to my card even was giving a website to track my refund which stated it was initiating but never fully sent. At this point it’s a lost an this place is money hungry. I will never do business again with them I lost out on $300 coming to this place.

If I could leave negative stars I would. Booked a king room Sunday July 10th. Got to OYO in Monroe, LA and my husband and I waited an HOUR. Mind it is past 10pm when we arrived. We waited and waited and kept hearing the cleaning lady is still cleaning rooms, the TV don’t work in this room. It’s hotter than 7 hells in that place. I finally told to cancel everything we are going some place else. The front desk lady was nice and polite but the gentleman that was at the front desk was lacking in the professional area hugely. I do not recommend this hotel and will never try to do business with them again. They need to get their business together and provide better customer service!

I stayed here on Jan 28. And was due to check out on the 30I was really enthusiastic about my stay here given the pictures. Unfortunately I should have read the reviews before staying here. Upon our arrival we walked in on a disgruntle employee. She had apparently just quit and was demanding her pay check be given to her. The desk clerk tried to handle the situation professionally. However, that didn’t happen. Instead of checking me in the desk clerk proceed to call the police. Which had already been called and took the young lady off property but she returned. Finally I was able to check in.We got to our room and found the room to have a odor, there was a huge brown line on the ceiling, the ac vent had a dryer sheet in it ( assumed it was to mask the odor) we pulled the couch bed out and the mattress had a huge stain on it. We didn’t find any sheets.So my daughter and I went down to the front desk ( there was no phone in the room). The employee was sitting quietly but as soon as she realized she had a audience she got up and starting demanding her check. She pushed over a computer and threw her cup at the desk manager. She then went into the side office door and shortly after the desk clerk and her emerged shoving each other . The desk clerk was telling the employee to get out and they began to fight. At that moment I would have checked out but my daughters and just made a 5.25 hr drive and tired. Through out the night we had some rattle our door, as if they were trying to get in. Once again I had to use my personal phone to call the front desk. When I told the desk clerk about it. She explained that she would send the security guard. She also explained that they had a intruder. That continuously returned and harassed guest.I did check out the next day . The hotel itself would probably be a great place to stay if properly renovated and a entire over haul was done. But I personally would not recommend anyone to stay here. The good thing is they refunded my money for my second night stay

This place is absolutely disgusting. The pictures are completely miss leading. If I could give this dump negative stars I would. As soon as we arrived to check in, it didn’t take long to realize it was bad. Our room had this gross smell that was a mix of bleach and cigarettes. There were stains on the sheets, what looked to be like dirt or human fesses on the walls. There is no telling. Water stains in the ceiling, stains on the lamp shades and carpet. Where the ac unit was there was a wet water spot on the carpet. I would not be surprised if there is mold. The microwave was unplugged and the oscillating saucer was removed along with what looked like months of not being cleaned. There were what looked to be pieces of rubber bands on the floor…..Lord knows what people were doing if you get where I’m going with that! I could go on and on. Needless to say, I tried to stick it out because I’m stubborn and hate wasting money. 3hrs later I checked out and went somewhere else because it was that bad! I didn’t even try to get my money back! I just wanted to get out! A DUMP!!! DON’T STAY HERE!!

This hotel should be condemned. The condition of this establishment poses a serious safety risk. Ceilings falling out, AC systems not working. Causing mold to grow on the walls and in the carpets. Blood can be found on sheets and walls as well. Suspicion white powder left all over the floors of the halls and rooms. The establishment from the lobby to individual rooms have strong multi odors ranging from mold, body odor, weed, cigarettes, stagnant air and probably water.I was in my room all of 5 minutes before I determined it would be safer to sleep in my car. Beware that they still charge your card even if you ask for a refund.I was looking at other hotels run by this same company and all hotels are extremely below par and should be condemned.However they do hire extremely sweet Lobby employees.

Don’t stay here unless it is all you can afford. We booked a room a week in advance. We arrived from the airport around 10:30pm. Our uber driver didn’t even want to drop us off here and told us to not even leave our room once we get in because it is a very unsafe area. Once we arrived We were told there was not a room available even though we had a reservation. We ended up getting offered a room with a broken tv. We just wanted to go to sleep so we took the room. It was so gross. The room had mold above the shower, various stains everywhere, dust on the ceiling, the fridge didn’t work, only 3 tiny pillows, and one full size towel. Honestly the room was in worse shape than I am able to describe. My boyfriend even stepped on a broken piece of glass that resembled a pipe this piece of glass also had a weird substance on it. Why was there broken glass on the floor of our room?

The hotel had no air conditioning in the lobby. Room was filthy. Four cops showed up at one point during the evening. It appeared people were living in the hotel for extended periods of time. Not the best clientele either. A folded up dollar bill was in the room with some white powder inside of it.

This place was a dump.Bugs in the room, AC was not working in the hallways or the lobby, the poor girl at the check-in desk was sweating and hot. The place is not kept up with overgrown weeds for landscaping. Limited cable channels to choose from. The refrigerator in the room was not plugged in or working when we did plug it in. The Hot Water took well over 30 minutes to reach us in our room, yes I left the water running in the bath tub and sink for 30 minutes before hot water finally arrived.The only good part of the stay was the cheap rate of $45 per night.You get what you pay for.

I really rate this place a -10!! It was so fun down and smelled like mold. The room wasnt clean and when I spoke to the front desk lady she told me it had, but there was a wet washcloth hanging on the shower rod. And soap n the shower. They refused to refund our money so we just left and stayed at another place. Dont stay at this location u less u want to get robbed or sick from breathing in mold.

I wouldnt stay at the place again. Staff were rude. They told guests that the online reservations were not valid; they didnt have any rooms available. I was disappointed to arrive at midnight and had to wait half an hour for my room; because it was not ready. I appreciate the cleaning lady for expeditiously getting my room ready.However, it was a $H!T $H0W!! Hotel has two sides. The main lobby side is ghetto and dirty. Police were in and out of the hotel. People with questionable characters were roaming the hallways. I did not feel safe. However, it was pass midnight and I was tired. I took shower and went to sleep for few hours. The better side of the hotel where I got to stay was good. Room was clean, bed was good, and the shower was ok. Lastly, I had to settle for queen bed while I had reserved for king bed. It didnt bother me; just little disappointed by the whole experience.

Warning!! OYO Hotel of Monroe are scammers! They tell you over the phone that they have a room available. They have you pay and sign prior to getting there. Upon arrival they have a person stationed at the front desk who they have hand you a card with a number on it. She tells you that no rooms are available, that you have to call the number and give the booking ID to receive a refund. You call the number, you are directed to a site…Only you can’t go any further in the site because it claims that the booking number you were given is invalid!!There were 2 other customers there when we got there. They did the same to them—had them pay ahead of time only to tell them that there were no rooms available and to follow the instructions on the card.Our rating of these scammers are obviously 0 star, but there is not that option on here.

Ceiling tiles falling down. Water dripping from ceiling. Frame on glass door came off when we opened the door. Bathtubs black. The room reserved was “being remodeled”. The hotel had a horrible smell. Huge safety issues and concerns.

PLEASE I BEG YOU. DO NOT BOOK THIS LOCATION!! THIS A CRACK HOUSE. The pictures are not it!! It’s super false advertisement!! I booked there to visit my family and boyyy was I in for a surprise! I honestly don’t know how this place is legally able to conduct business. I’ve NEVER seen anything like this. I left with the quickness and they didn’t even give me a refund. The pictures are a trick !! I repeat !! Do not book here!!! Check the other reviews for photos !! Those photos are true! No exaggeration!!

This is the most awful hotel I’ve ever stepped foot in. The lady up front was very nice tho. When you walk in the front desk had no AC at all. They have two shop fans set up for the front desk. There were random ppl asleep on the couches in the lobby. Got my key to the room.. walked in and the AC in the room was broke.. there was somebody’s left over food still in the room.. there was stains on the pillows and covers. Food crumbs all over the floors. The ceiling is falling in going to all the rooms. I left after I seen the room and got my money back. DO NOT BOOK HERE. It’s disgusting.

We booked a room TWO days in advanced and showed up and they said they were “booked” with “absolutely no rooms for two days.” Had to call priceline for our money back and then while family was looking for a place they called and the front desk lady said they had openings. Absolutely lazy staff who just don’t want to book people in, thanks for the great start to my grandmothers funeral OYO!

Worst place ever to stay at dirty rooms, coachroaches everywhere, unsafe not sanitary at all. Doors didnt lock or shut. People there were not professional at all. Will never ever stay here again . The place is old and not kept up at all grass really long exterior of property is not up kept at all. Bathtub didnt drain at all found dirty syringe down in sink drain. This place needs to be shut 👎👎👎

Save your money. The is the worst place I have even seen. The front part is acceptable but when you are sent to the back of the hotel to enter your room, it is a very scary looking place. Young men were jumping over the back of the fence surrounding the parking area as if the were running off as we drove around. Windows were broken out and boarded up. We didnt even go look at the room so I cant say anything about that. It just did not feel safe there so we left.

If I could give them zero stars I definitely would. The first room had hair and toilet water all over the floor in the bathroom. After changing rooms, it seemed like maybe we would be okay. Although the place needs many repairs and a more people friendly staff we thought we were here so we will stay. Left out in the afternoon and returned after dark. Huge mistake, their were people coming in and out of the rear exit door like a train station. The marijuana in the hallway would knock you down. It was everywhere, we went to the front desk and they didnt even seem surprised. Security made a round and said nothing was wrong. Although we could smell it inside our room with the door shut. Needless to say we grabbed our bags and never looked back. Unless youre looking to get high do not go to this place.

The air conditioner did not work in the lobby. The staff was having to work in 90 degree plus weather. They were sweating! I felt so sorry for them. I had to make four trips back and forth to a room and she had to swap my room 2x before I FINALLY got a room. She blamed it on the card machine. The ice machine didn’t work. The toilets were stopped up. The rooms smelled like cigarette smoke and the tv remote did not work due to no batteries. I would not recommend this motel to anyone.

The air conditioning in the entire hotel was either out or not working properly, including the rooms. The odor of the hotel is reminiscent of when smoking indoors was acceptable. I also found two large bedbugs in my sheets as well as being stuck to the bed due to sweat. The one star is for the polite and helpful staff I interacted with.

Room was not worth the price, even at a discount. There was a hole in the wall behind the chair, the TV remote was missing, and the door latch was obviously broken. When I voiced these concerns to the receptionist, she took note of the issues I noticed, half-heartly looked for a spare remote, and shrugged. My issues were never again addressed nor resolved.When I returned the next morning for checkout to verify my dissatisfaction with the room and the bare minimum of decency from staff, they had the nerve to charge me an early check-in fee.I knew it was bad, but I wouldnt put anyone else through that. Dont go. Go anywhere else. If you go here, I can imagine they will try to keep your deposit if you dont thoroughly checkout exactly how bad it is

Building is a complete dump. The bed had one tiny throw pillow and no blanket. Bathroom didnt have a shower curtain, much less towels and washcloths. No TV or refrigerator in the room. Right next to the train tracks, with moths in the room. If I hadnt prepaid, I would have walked right out. No matter how cheap, its not worth the price.

Its shabby. I was so disappointed cuz I thought the new owners was gona hook it up. No comforter or blanket. dirty bed lenin hid in closet. Had to buy a blanket at Walmart.. few electrical hazards in the 2 rooms I was in. No trash can in my room. Full trash can in hall way @ 4pm. The 1st rm I got no one had cleaned it..the rest is in the pictures. Most of what I saw was maintenance or house keeping. A few this is management issues...like vendor machines that need attending to.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Staff wasn’t helpful at all. Half the lights didn’t work. Microwave didn’t work. There were drug deals in the hall way. Service didn’t come by at all. Toilet didn’t even flush right. Do NOT under ANY CIRCUMSTANCE stay here unless you are truly desperate. I will be keeping my receipt unless the $100 is put back on my card. Photos looked AMAZING online but it looked completely abandoned when we arrived. My sister and her fiancé were supposed to be staying here for their honeymoon but they saw the place when I came to check in and they said screw it they can keep the money. My sister nearly started crying because the place was so horrible. I will never stay here again. I don’t normally go full Karen mode unless it’s warranted but this..... when I leave they will be seeing Karen 🤷‍♀️

The room was filthy.Hair was all over the floor and tub.The tub was dirty and used soap was laying on the tub.Curtains was nasty.We complained and was given another room and it was worse than the first room.The 2nd stink so bad the smell would kill a horse.The room smelled like rotten a$$ and mold.The curtains look like they were washed in sewerage and dripped dry with the carpet stain that covered most of the floor and had dried.The entire floor was so filthy we had to wear our shoes to go to the bathroom.We bought house spray and used both cans.It was late and we were very sleepy so we spent the night and I woke up feeling very sick.5 days later and I’m still very sick.My daughter complained about both rooms and at check out and the clerk just shook her head.I’d rather sleep in a landfill before before I spend a night there again because a landfill would probably be cleaner. We stayed Thursday night and it’s Tuesday and I’m still sick.This place needs to be demolished and rebuilt asap.

I loved the place ! Yes in this time of pandemic and people not wanting to work the outside grounds could use some work. But the price was well worth it. I look forward to my next trip through the area. Staff was warm and friendly, we got a two room suite for less then a regular room elsewhere. The atrium outside the room is beautiful

Booked 12 hours in advance. Got to hotel late, told me in person it was booked up. Paid for my reservation already early in the morning before I started my 5 hour journey here, just to be told they don’t have a place for me to stay. Also still never got my refund.. 3 months later. And took three months to reach out and contact me about the inconvenience.

If you have asthma please avoid this place because the hotel lobby is extremely hot and the humidity doesnt help. I stayed in room 501, the trash was left behind a chair and it smelled because it was beer cans and the fridge was packed with old food. Unacceptable. This is beyond an oversight, this has a lot to do with accountability from management. Think twice before booking here. YOU Get What YOU Pay For.

I can’t lie the price is to good to be true. The rooms online looked remodeled but the rooms they rent aren’t they want 100.00 deposit and then charge you for the room at the counter usually you check out and pay but not here. I was placed in the very back of the motel with no lights for security of you vehicles. I know I won’t be back but this is a quick visit go to motel 6 or go by the airport. Also as far as I know there is no Wi-Fi I don’t have a trash can there is no phone to speak of. My daughter came to visit and was like no just no. But you get what you pay for. Update Been two weeks and I still have not received my deposit back

I cancelled my room before my stay at this hotel . They took the money from my account and refused to refund my money back. I don’t care what your policy is I shouldn’t have to pay for a room that I never laid in. I can see if you where nice place and a very popular hotel and I took up a potential room from somebody else but nobody barely stays here and from the other reviews I have read it’s not worth it anyways. I hope you enjoy my hard earned money that you don’t deserve

Don’t use your standard gps (not on your phone) it will take you to the middle of nowhere roads. The place on the outside looks condemned or deserted. Looks scary, but probably amazing to film some post apocalyptic footage haha... the place seems huge and deserves some serious revamping. Just a few cars parked outside. Maybe 5 total. Things were broken or non functioning, phone, alarm radio, remote. Everything was sticky, bed side tables were not cleaned. There was some dirt/ mud residue on pillowcase. Used wet towel hung up behind door. Beer bottle cap on floor. We had two nights and we were gone for the day, no one came to fix the bed or clean. There was a spider under my pillow. Lights and ac worked. Beds weren’t bad. Satisfactory pillows. Beds are a little small. We had no hot water. Talked to front desk and they seemed helpful and moved us to another room, with hot water. Cleaner room. I hate being THAT person. Someone with money should make this place shine! Cause it’s got some definite character!

The room was nasty. I had to put a plastic bag in the curtain because there was a hole in it. I had to buy cleaning supplies because the bathroom wasnt clean and spots on the carpet. I found earrings behind the end table so that lets me no that the cleaning people are there doing nothing! I was in room # 187. When you enter the hallway you smell nothing but marijuana smoke, very strong. This from a establishment with no smoking signs everywhere. The doors wouldnt open with the key card. Overall, I wont stay there again. Glad Im not the manager.....ill turn that place around. Im very disappointed.

I didn’t even stay there I had to pay the cancellation fee 53 dollars. There was a lady in front of me and the front desk looked like they didn’t know what they were doing. I was waiting for a while and a pizza delivery girl as me she was waiting and just left after 10 min we never got help. A guy came and starting arguing to the front desk he wants his room clean it was so dark out in the parking lot I didn’t feel safe with my kids. The staff never greeted me or even acknowledged that I was there. The ladies were just back and forth doing idk what. There was another lady in front of me waiting to get help also .After 20 min I just left I wasn’t going to have my children in that hotel after all that was going on I didn’t feel safe.

Keys to room kept deactivating had my husband sleeping in the car after dialysis Waiting for someone to open up the door.Ella the front desk worker seems cool the first day but the next day she had a really bad attitude threatened to call the police on us due to system being down for 4 hours and try saying we did not pay after i tryed to explain that I went up there 4 to 5 times before she came on to pay for 2 extra days but she cut me off and didn’t want to hear me out .The previous worker before her had my number to call me when it came back up due to them keep seeing me up there but I never received a call. House keepers was very nice but didn’t want to clean the rooms. When it ran it ran on the inside of the hotel. They will tell you they serve breakfast that’s a joke and inside the hallways it’s hot.

Well I did stay for a 😌😏😏🤔🤔🤔week. The first room I was in it Was dirty😖😖😫😫 but the nice black lady did move me to another room. The room was cleaned but they made me pay 50.00 at the time of check in. And I cleaned up after I checked out I didnt get my money back on my card like they said I would. I wish I could upload the videos that I have of bedbugs crawling on the pillows and mattress the room smelled bad there were roaches in the bathroom the entire hotel stunk bad walls yellow carpets not cleaned. I couldn’t get a refund after showing videos of bedbugs crawling around they offered me another room as if I would’ve agreed I would never recommend this location to anyone to sleep at the entire facility needs to be closed down and deeply exterminated as well as renovations need to be done. Another weekend another party but this time in the center of all the rooms very disrespectful to occupants paying to stay here. On top of the dead roaches Ive encountered in my room including the living ones in the hallways black mold in the bathrooms housecleaning is a joke vaccums dont work my wife tried to do the floors I had to clean my room and make beds with the front desk lady who was very helpful but my room didnt get clean even after the night clerk put a note for it to be done I guess since the hotel is goin down they want to turn into a night club if thats the case stop fronting as a hotel and disrespecting the people residing at your establishment very unprofessional oyo hotels

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DUMP. This was the absolute worse hotel I have ever stayed at and I work for An Airline. House Keeping needs an overhaul. Customer Service is Horrible. No towels upon arrival usually you have to request for more! There was literally none. I hate to say this but I would gladly take Motel 6 over or even a mom-and-pop hotel over this place.

Its a lot of take aways from such a potential property, I like they have an open space to do parties, weddings and etc, the furniture could be a little more dated, the staff was very help do to short staffed and accommodated our reservation with a double bed room even though we booked for suites, . The rooms are do able for a quick stay. The nice part of the room was the bathroom. 3 stars for the spacious banquet hall and the accomodating staff member.

We requested our money back as the hotel door was kicked in and the cracks were semi covered with duct tape. The room lock would not work as it was destroyed. Huge water puddle in front of AC unit, plastic Target bag covered some pipe that was sticking out of wall. Still waiting to hear back about our refund we requested as we left that hotel within 30 minutes if they had a zero I would have put that. Do not go there, the front desk people were kind but the company who owns this hotel should be ashamed of themselves.

I dont this a livable hotel at all room 246 was the room they gave I told them I was disabled . I walk and stop so much before I even got 246 the door was hanging of hinges. Bed bug its was hot dirty towels just. I gather my belongs and went back front and ask for refund maybe 20 or 30 this hotel charge me for whole day .Why I told them all the complaints could not even call front desk I was safe at all .. I want my money refunded.

This place should be condemned and out of business, no ac in lobby, area front sliding doors dont operate, missing and leaking ceiling tiles throughout building, rooms are outdated and nasty, beds are thrown together, crumbs bugs and critters under the mattresses, stained and corroded carpets, missing smoke detectors, and no phones. I had 2 rooms, meaningless to say we checked out and went to Holiday Inn

Dirty wash clothes on the shower curtain. Toilet seat was dirty (if you know what Im saying). Took them 3 times to get my card key right. Couldnt get the room the I wanted. But the front desk lady was very nice!!

Twice I’ve TRIED to book a room at Oyo Hotel off I-20 Monroe, La. Twice I’ve been denied. The second (and last time I will ever try to stay there) trip I was told there weren’t any Clean Rooms available because housekeeping was down! Now there were 2 people holding up the front desk. A total of one car was in the parking lot ( mine). I have come to the conclusion that this isn’t a functioning hotel at all but rather a front for something else! So sad because I remember what it use to be and has the potential to be again. What a waste!!

The hotel must have been under going renovations, but no actual sign stating that. 1st room had hole in the wall and no power at head of bed for CPAP. When I told front clerk she said maintenance was gone and just rolled her eyes and after a pause she decided she could check for another room. The 2nd room had mold above shower, toilet was brown , and bright work was rusty.

Room smelled of smoke, roaches everywhere, no hot water, no toilet tissue in room. faucets/toilet in bathroom need maintenance. This place is really outdated;A major renovation is is urgently needed. I didnt even try the breakfast. The receptionists were professional.The discounted rate was okay.

Wow I read some of the comments and while this was not the best hotel in the world, some of the comments seem to be made out of anger only. Could this place is a better staff. Yes the person I dealt with was nice but could be a little more helpful. The only dealing I had with security was a good one. Thank you sir for getting me what I needed. After all it was not your job to get me cream and sugar for coffee that would fall on the cleaning staff and the management. It should have been in my room from the jomm

DONT STAY HERE.. BAD . VERY BAD. They put 3 woman in part of hotel that had bad outside lighting grass is grownup waist high. Panels falling out of ceiling.. Phone in room did not work.. was no shower curtain in bathroom for shower.. carpet coming off walls.. No maid service for the 3 days we were there.. No buckets for ice, extension cords ran to outlets pulled out of walls laying on floor. Wires exposed in pool area.. Out side doors screwed shut for no exit.. panels and insulation falling from ceiling in indoor pool area. We would have left but there was not any other rooms available in any another hotel.

Ok.....this is a disgusting, dirty and crime ridden motels Ive ever seen. I stayed there for 3 days and during that time was besieged by cockroaches and its like they hardly clean. They pool? Its a swamp not a pool anymore. And you dont ever know if some one has a master key that shouldnt and break into your room and Rob u at gun point... Which yes did happen while I was there, not to me thankfully,but to a few others that were staying at this motel.

Lady at the front desk was an absolute nightmare! We reserved a room and after driving 1000 miles she told us we overbook and gave your room away. Sorry! She didn’t offer to help and actually told us we shouldn’t use the call center because they are in India. Oyo so far is the worst branch I’ve used and will definitely never use their services again. Whoever this lady at the front desk is needs to be fired.

This is a run down property and they didnt even give me the room I prepaid for! Me and my husband had to sleep uncomfortably in a single bed since they gave my king bed away that I had already paid for! The air was not working in the building overall but thankfully my a/c was working in my room...this place looks abandoned..no face towels, gnats in my room, outdated rooms..I wish I could give this place a negative ⭐..

Made a reservation thru booking.com (no refund if canceled after check in time)...not planning on canceling) as we had to come to town for a funeral. We arrived, we were not even greeted. Walked to the window to check in, gave the lady out name and tried to hand her our credit card. She tells me the machine is down and its cash only. I asked how long it had been down. She stated she arrived at 3 and there was a note. I asked her if it was standard practice to NOT call people who had reservations to inform them so they could be prepared. She had no answer. I told her we only had a credit card. And that they have it on file becIse they charged it a holding fee of $1. She said I could pay online I asked how, again she had no answer. I told her that my booking says payment handled by hotel and she still didnt know what to advise me. I said I guess I will call booking.com. called them told them the situation they called oyo and they said I should be able to cancel no problem and wouldnt be charged but would have to hear from corporate. Well I received an email that said DENIED I would be CHARGED IN FULL!!After further messages with the company and continuing to explain the situation they FINALLY agreed to refund our money.We really appreciate them doing that for us

I have a 4 month old and with a room with mold and trash all over, the hotel should be distorted, please never book at their hotel, it’s horrible!!!! I want a refund but they won’t do one. Blood, mold, and trashy.. not happening for my 4 month old baby or me.

This is a huge building. At one time it was a very good hotel. Now it is mostly empty. Of the 274 rooms it has they can only rent 74. There are no phones in the rooms, no clocks. I did not get the wi-fi to work. The inside of the public areas are very rough. Things are so bad at this place they take a $100.00 deposit against any damage to the room. What kind of people stay here?? I will not ever again.

I was asked to leave a $100 deposit (CASH ONLY), after I already paid on line w/credit card almost that much. It is unsafe, filthy, worst place you can imagine. Should be condemned. Why hasn’t it been already? I was scared to stay but was too tired to try to find another place.

For all the same reasons mentioned to management before. I wouldve stayed inside the hotel however after seeing all I witnessed in the parking lot, It wasnt gonna happen. I needed a place to lay my head after consecutive trips to Ochsners in Shreveport, As officer of the law I wanted to shut it all down and almost had to assist Ouachita Parish Sheriffs Office a couple of times that night. So since being in my unit and wondering was I gonna have to shoot or arrest someone I just drove on back to Bastrop and slept in our parking lot @ Morehouse Parish Sheriffs Office.

Wish I can’t put 0.. so we booked and prepaid for the apartment room weeks in advance only to find out at check in that the room was not available bc no one cleaned it so they down graded the room yet didn’t refund the difference. Upon calling and talking to oyo and customer service nothing has been done and oyo refuses to refund the difference of the balance. Called BBB and was told they have them at a F rating and was advised to call the attorney general. Please don’t stay here, they will steal your money and customer service will not help at all.

The hotel has mold, it stinks, they had to move us 3 times because the rooms were not cleaned. We ended up going to walmart buying cleaning supplies, and cover to sleep on. I hit my ankle on the bed frame because the mattress doesnt fit the the bed. Then customer service hung up on me. The worst stay at a hotel I ever had.

I would leave ZERO STARS if I could... This hotel is horrible! I stayed here when it first opened and for the $ 41.00 I paid it was decent and clean; However, I was very perturb with having to give a 100 deposit which I did get right back, the problem was having to do it in the first place . I recently stayed there again because I arrived in town late and didnt want to pay a expensive price for a few hours . This was a huge mistake strange people hanging around its in a terrible part of town and the TUB was dirty with a ring around it... So will never stay here again being scared for my life isnt with saving a few bucks...

Room had a foul smell. They couldnt give me a room that I paid for as well as no refund. Couldnt even stay there cause the room was that bad.carpet in hallway was soaking wet.i wont go there again and waste my money on a place o couldnt use.

Awful experience. I reserved my room online and I called to confirm my reservation. The young man I spoke told me that I will have to cancel because they were double booked. He then told me to hold on he can get me a room after 2 and I asked him is he sure. When I was hanging up the phone I heard a woman in the background telling this man that I wasnt going to get a room. Then a few seconds later he called back and said to not cancel my reservation. I drove 2 hours and come to find out that I had no room. He stood there looking at me like what do you want me to do. Then had the nerve to say that I was going to be charged 139.00. NEVER AGAIN. I will not recommend this place to anyone.

They didnt have AC anywhere in the building. The rooms hardly had AC. It was hot and unbearable. My sister stayed there with her 3 kids and her husband. My dad stayed there, as well. Its definitely gone downhill since I was a kid and it was a Holiday Inn. Idk if theyve fixed it since then, that was 2 months ago. I doubt it, though

It a work in progress but my room was clean and worth what I paid to stay, staff very polite, with genuine smiles. Lots of work being done there. No complaints.

I made a reservation at the OYO hotel for 8/12/21. Upon arrival I found the hotel was not at all as advertised. The room had a horrible odor, the hallways were not air conditioned, the parking area was at the back of the hotel, there were people smoking right at my doorway, there were people just “hanging out” in the parking area, and, as a single senior woman, I did not feel safe.

This was the worst hotel ever. The sheets and blankets were dirty. There was food leftover in the microwave and overall room was horrible . Please dont stag here. You will be very disappointed. I feel we should get our money back for our 1 night stay.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Terrible service took like an hour to get a room just to get to the room and the keys not work. And on top of that people smoking weed right outside our room and we had children. We returned our keys and left immediately! And then they refused to refund us our money!!

Staff is very slow. They gave one of my cash deposits to another customer and had to find that customers deposit to give to me. Very disorganized. Took me 30 minutes to check in even tough I had reservations. Just disgusting in general. Go somewhere else!

Both pools are closed and nasty... Not due to corona. Indoor AC is out so the lobby, hallways and common rooms are stifling. I have changed my key card 3 times and still cant get into my room. Currently waiting on staff to assist me with my door. Havent seen the room yet so...

If I can do lower the one star I would My family was out of town and the pictures look ok so we paid online and we got here everything is dirty.. doors have been kicked in and glass has been broken and there is abad mold problem this place need remodeling bad or shut down today no guest can stay here for any amount of time safely .. lights dont work its sad .. the front Lady is nice and try her best

Theres no way this place looks like the pictures. Not even close. Bedsheets clean, carpet dated, restroom filthy, and DIRECTLY by train tracks. This entire place looks deserted... It was a bad choice. The service was good so 3 stars for that! Dont stay here if you cam avoid it!

This is a creepy dark place. Please avoid it all cost. The sheets on my bed were dirty and burnt. The rooms are set up wierd. This whole building should be demolished… it’s literally a whole in a wall type of motel.

HAS ROACHES, pool was empty, water got hot after almost an hour of running, water pressure was like 10 drops, hair still on the shower walls. No microwave. Overall NOT happy with my stay.

Water pressure not very good and no hot water at all!! Asked for different room told us they didn’t have any available and then asked for more towels and told us we have to ask house keeping because they do not just give us towels so we had to wait till next morning for towels!

This place is a strange maze of doors and stairwells that lead to halls of closed off rooms in disrepair. It seems to be in the process of renovation? Our bed was comfortable, but you really need a map to navigate this place.

I love this hotel. They are obviously going through renovations but Everytime I stay I can see improvement. If something is wrong with the room they try to fix it for you. The security and front desk staff are amazing.

Definitely will not go back, there were no room numbers on any of the doors and most doors did not have door knobs. The place seemed weird and sketchy. Also there was no ac in the lobby nor hallway.

This property is a victim of its unfortunate location. If you have the means to stay somewhere else, I highly recommend doing so. If not, then just grin and bear it through the unclean bathrooms, bed linens, and wholly apathetic staff.

I book my room two days before my trip got to Monroe and the hotel was over book no one call me to let me know anything then after o made it home t I call me asking if my refund was submitted back to my card money ask my to check my card and call back if it wasn’t on there check my card the next day still no refund

Booking this Hotel on Booking when I arrived they ask for a mandatory $100 deposit on a 40 dollars room. I had to get cash. I went to pay and the credit card machine did not work!!She as me to back to the ATM and get more cash. Worst experience ever. Had to book at another hotel.Skip this hotel not worth the Drama.

They had bugs and the roof to the room had brown spots the floor had trash on it the staff was crazy it was giving the projects vide this will be the last time I ever stay here at this hotel there was a couple arguing and you heard it there was a smoke smell in the hall way and the room it was terrible

The room spelled funny , the toliet took forever to flush ,the sheet had stains , the chair and the floor by the ac was wet , the beds were comfortable , the shower didnt get very hot , and I also cleaned the room back up and didnt receive my money back on my card but the staff was pretty cool

We wanted adjoining rooms. I was told 1 room with 2 queen beds is the adjoining room. The actually adjoining room was filthy. Roaches everywhere and everything was missing in the room.

The place is beautiful but awaste of space the pool is empty which is a huge let down. And the staff at check out time very ugly and disrespectful. Front desk never answered the phone.

The front desk attendant was amazingly. The place has bed bugs. We checked in and out in 10 minutes. There was a huge one crawling on the bed I was sitting on!

No customer service, rooms were not ready, smelly rooms, no breakfast like it advertised. They did not care at all when I said I have a paid reservation and you can’t tell me you don’t have rooms ready. When I walked I was ignored like I was nothing. Waited for five minutes and finally asked the lady at counter if she can help me.

This is an interesting low budget You get what you pay for type of hotel. But it was clean and safe. And I can put up with a lot to save $$ on a road trip.

The hotel is dirty, there is no hot water, you cant call anyone to fix something because the number doesnt go to anyone in your hotel. They do not transfer you to your actual hotel and when they finaly get you to your hotel the hotel will not answer and it doesnt let you leave a voicmail. Do not stay here

The heater is out on hot tub indoor pool is freezing cold. The hotel its self is older and went to breakfast at 730 and there was nothing left there

First of all, they didnt have the room I booked and paid for online, they tried to charge me $120 for a double bed room, when I book a king bedroom suite which was $79.00It took them forever to get a key card to work, just to send me to the wrong room, which someone else was staying in. Finally got the room after 30 tries getting the key card to work again, I will never stay here again

They had no room service staff available……I had to get my own towels and tissue……when they finally did come on my last day there housekeeping walked in my room twice uninvited……when it was time for me to check out my deposit was missing they had get it out of their petty cash……if it wasn’t for the security I wouldn’t of felt safe

Booked a room and the room had living and dead roaches on the floors and bed, not a safe place for familys, this is a ho ho motel and the pictures of the rooms they have are not what it looks like.

Pathetic, no towels, no indoor pool, no breakfast, no laundry, cation on the electrical plugs.

Honest business. The room was very clean and nothing out of order.

This is a terrible place staff is rude and unhelpful customer service dont help you no hot water no a/c please dont rent a room here

The company they use on Booking.com sucks dont ever use them to get a room @OYO Motel.
