I came here for my first ever facial and have never looked back. Every single person in this establishment cares so much and you can tell. The facials, waxing and i cannot wait to try a massage here. I am getting married this week and they went above & beyond for myself, mother, mother in law, & sister in law. I am beyond grateful I have a mini oasis waiting for me whenever needed 🙏🏼 Thank you Crystal, Precilia & Chandler. Youre all amazing

Its summer break, and what I needed most was quality self care time. So, I planned to have a pedicure while visiting the area. I looked at several places, but decided to schedule a Spa Pedicure with MDS. It was my first time visiting and the staff was very friendly. My time was blessed by N Lan Thi Tu, she was wonderful! I truly appreciated how my first experience at MSD was absolutely pleasant. I hope to plan my next visit soon.

I had high hopes for this place. I did a lot of research on various massage places prior to booking massages here and Im a big fan of reviews. Being that my friend and I were visiting we went to the beach beforehand and had some sand left on our toes upon arrival. I could tell the massage therapist was extremely annoyed about the sand on my feet, which he started with. I apologized for the sand and he stated, he was going to need to skip my feet. The massage was okay but I felt uncomfortable the rest of the treatment because of the sand incident. For the amount of money we paid, I would rather take my business elsewhere. I wont be back.

I have been going to the Monterey Day Spa for over two years. I have had a membership for about a year and a half now. Getting the membership is totally worth it! This has been my favorite spa locally not only because of how affordable it is, but because of their amazing staff! My favorite service is by far the facials! They do more than what I received during my services at Pebble Beach. It is also nice they incorporate a little massage during the facial. So relaxing! Miranda is amazing, and my go to gal! I really enjoyed my massage from Manny as well because of how thorough he is and the pressure he applies.

Always a pleasant experience at the spa. I have been coming here for massages for years and all staff are wonderful, the establishment is clean and relaxing, and I always feel comfortable and taken care of.

Omgoodness what an amazing experience! My husband and I had a couples massage for our 20th yr anniversary. Irene and Brandy made it so awesome! They put rose pedals on the beds, which just made it so much more special. We both did the swedish with aroma therapy. Irene did my massage, and she was just absolutely amazing! I will definitely be going back!

I booked my husband and myself a couples massage for our honeymoon. The staff was extremely kind and professional and even went above and beyond to make the experience special for our honeymoon. The massages were just what we needed after the stress of wedding planning - they felt amazing and were very relaxing. Highly recommended!

Be careful when they offer the CBD oil treatment! They never told me it costs $20 extra. Other than that it was a decent massage, but that practice seems quite shady to me.

The best Swedish massage I have ever had! My only regret is not booking a 90 minute! I will definitely come back on my next visit to Monterey!

My daughter researched where to buy me a gift card for my birthday while I was visiting Monterey and chose your spa. I had a wonderful deep tissue massage and a custom facial by Miranda and loved both treatments. .the only The spa is soothing and everyone was very professional and made sure I had a great pampering experience.Roseann

This place is special!!! As soon as we walked in Chandler greeted us with super friendly and welcoming vibes. Crystal helped us pick out PERFECTLY what would be best for our anniversary visit.We got the Sweetheart special with a Jacuzzi tub and couples massage. After a very stressful year our massage helped relieve a lot of tension in our body. I have to mention my massage therapist Areli. She was absolutely exceptional and really helped draw out all the stress in my upper and lower body. From the start Areli introduced the massage very gracefully and was perfectly in tune with where to apply pressure throughout the whole massage. It was the most stress relieving massage Ive ever had!Kathryn gave my wife the Great Escape facial and lash lift. My wife told me it was absolutely relaxing and Kathryn was great. Her face looked amazing and vibrant! We had such an amazing experience.

This was my first time getting a facial from Monterey Day Spa and I was thoroughly impressed!Miranda was amazing and made me feel truly pampered. She explained what treatments would work best for my skin and what products would be helpful. They use top-of-the-line products for their services.The next day a customer complimented my skin and said it was like a porcelain doll. I have been to the Spa at Pebble Beach multiple times for facials and this service was superior to theirs.I will be going back monthly from now on!

I booked a couples massage for myself and my mother. The massages themselves and the service was lovely, but one incident prevents me from giving five stars.One of the massages was prenatal; the other was deep tissue. The website showed both types as $180 each or $360 for a couple’s massage. When I paid, the person didn’t confirm the total with me before charging my card. I trusted that it was accurate, but the receipt I was emailed included a $20 “prenatal add-on.” I raised this to the person at the front desk, and she apologized and removed the charge immediately, which I appreciated. I’d like to believe the charge was a good faith error, but I’ve seen enough businesses sneak in extra charges that I am suspicious. I’d advise anyone booking a service to double check their receipts and push back on unexpected charges.

Booked a sweethearts special 2 hr massage. Everything went smoothly, and everyone there was super friendly from the minute we walked in. Started off with a 25 min soak, which was a really nice way to loosen up the muscles. James explained everything clearly, and they had epsom salt if you want to use it during your soak. My masseuse was James, and my partner had Kristen. Definitely one of the best massages Ive had in a long time. Everything felt purposeful, and I left feeling great. I dont write reviews too often, but they deserve the recognition. Thanks!

While in Monterrey I discovered this little gem. It is on a quiet street, and the aesthetician who took care of me was just lovely. It was quiet and extremely relaxing, and I was very pleased with my services. Loved every minute!!

If youre going to charge $140 (before gratuity) for a 50 minute massage, it really needs to be outstanding. Honestly it was one of the most expensive and disappointing massages Ive ever had. And the amenities were lacking as well. No robe, no water offered, no extras like hot stones or essential oils, the therapist didnt introduce themselves and communication during this massage was unsatisfactory. I usually only leave positive reviews but this was really a bummer.

I had the best experience for my first time. I get massages and facials often and the team was warm, communicated clearly, and provided exceptional services. My custom facial was very relaxing and she spoke through all of her steps and reinforced some things I knew about my skin and treatments in general. I was provided a comfy robe and went to my massage room. The aromatherapy options were good and I chose Ylang Ylang and Eucalyptus. My therapist was very thoughtful and had a conversation about my preferences and any areas of concern. I will be back.

I made an appointment spur of the moment on their website yesterday for today for a prenatal massage, and boy, am I glad I did. I was worried there would be an issue with the appointment since I made it online and sometimes online scheduling can fail. Plus, I didnt call to confirm that they had me on the books, so I was really taking a chance. But, I showed up and they were expecting me at my appointed time. The environment once you enter the little spa is immediately calming. The only thing that was perhaps a bit disruptive was when the receptionist picked up phone calls, or was talking to the massage therapists. But, that didnt really bother me enough to affect my review. Just mentioning it since it did stick out in contrast to the environment in general. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming which is always a good sign when you enter a business based in hospitality of a sort.My masseuse was Analy. She has a very gentle and kind demeanor. She made sure I was as comfortable as I could get given my condition. The massage was great and I could tell she knew what she was doing. Im sure if I had asked for any changes in pressure she would have obliged immediately, but it was perfect. I actually snoozed during the massage, I was so relaxed. What really won me over was that she didnt chat me to death throughout the massage, something I was worried about before going in (bad prior experiences elsewhere).The room was big and beautiful and set up in such a way that I could have fallen asleep immediately just from peaceful it felt.They seem to offer a wide variety of services (facials, pedicures, manicures, couple massages, etc.), which I can hopefully take advantage of soon.I look forward to booking my next massage appointment with Analy at the Monterey Day Spa.

My visit was over a stretch of three days. Booking through their website was very easy and, contrary to a few other reviews (on another website), they did keep my reservation. I booked them months in advance so there were no issues.Day 1: Shellac Manicure and PedicureThe manicurist did a good job. There were edges of my fingernails that werent completely covered, but its only noticeable if you really stare at them. They have massage chairs for pedicures and that was nice, but be careful - the chair might try to assault you if you dont mess with the settings LOL!Day 2: 60min Swedish MassageThat was ultra relaxing and Irene was able to get knots out that I know had been sitting there for YEARS.Day 3: Oceana Clarifying Facial and Lemon Blossom Sugar ScrubThis one was the best. Brandy was SUPER friendly, calm and inviting. She was able to help me get a better idea of whats going on with my skin and recommended some good products to me. She was also able to think on the fly about which products they offered would best suit the skin on my face.As for the sugar body scrub, I think I almost fell asleep. Thats how great it was!She always made it a point to ask permission before moving on to other steps that I might have found uncomfortable, and she checked in about the temperature of the towels or equipment she used on me.

Wow, what a great massage at a great price. We did a couples massage for about $180. It was a 90 minute massage and one of the better ones we’ve had. It’s a great, clean location. I would highly recommend it and we will return again on our next visit to pebble beach.

Second time visitor. Great couples massage experience again - upgrade to a CBD massage for stress. Loved it. I got a facial with Catherine and she not only did a great job but also took the time to educate me with tips to help maintain my skin health and reduce skin problems. Will return again on my next trip to Monterey.

My Wife and I came here for the 60 Minute Couples Swedish Massage. Our Massage Therapists were Lisa and Tatiana. They were both fantastic. It was my first massage ever and Tatiana did an amazing job and made sure I was comfortable and relaxed. The massage it self was great and after 60 minutes I was relaxed and calm. My Wife and I will definitely return.

Originally I was going to get a Swedish massage, but after talking about what my body felt like it needed, she recommended a deep tissue massage with the CBD rub. I also had booked a facial with her. She was super friendly, amazing at her craft, and pretty much put me to sleep. I would totally go back!

I got a Hot Stone massage today and OMG! Amazing! Analy was extremely professional and did an excellent job of meeting and EXCEEDING my expectations! The other staff I interacted with were all very welcoming and professional and I was met with smiles from all! I will definitely be back again soon!

My husband and I just had (BY FAR) the BEST couples message for our anniversary we have ever had. In all the years we’ve gone for these, this exceeded our expectation. We’ve had some good ones but this was fantastic!! Sara and Lisa are amazing. The temperature, pressure, aroma, comfort, and atmosphere are top notch. We will definitely need to come back when we come back into town. An amazing experience!

Easy online scheduling made this my first choice, but the therapeutic massage done today will keep me as a long term client. I was able to customize what areas to work on, and importantly, what (inflamed) areas to avoid. Brandy performed a skillful massage that provided maximum relief.

I have been seeing Irene Alcantar at Monterey Day Spa for several months now and she has made such a difference in my physical well being. I carry a lot of tension in my upper back and shoulders and she has been able to release that tension and get me moving again. Even my posture has improved! Not only is she an extremely talented and knowledgeable therapist but she also listens to what I tell her needs work. I usually book 90 minute appointments, and typically Irene works a solid hour on my upper back and shoulders before moving to my forearms and wrists to alleviate my carpal tunnel and arthritis pain. It is such a relief to walk out of Monterey Day Spa and feel like a new person.

Ive been to Monterey Day Spa 4 times and I highly recommend it. Go there!!! For starters, the environment of the spa is sooo relaxing. I was given the most wonderful facial ever, from Alex. She almost put me to sleep and she left my skin refreshed and glowing...simply awesome! Also, Ive experienced many pedicures, and I received the best pedicure of my life from Mari at Monterey Day Spa. She is very nice, gentle, thorough, and does exceptional nail work! And her massage & sugar scrub feels amazing... These ladies know their stuff, and really take pride in their work. Thank you so much Alex and Mari... A+++

Im so glad I went to this place! I treated myself for Mothers Day and got a massage, facial, and back facial. I wish I had booked sooner so I couldve gotten my nails done (I guess she books really far ahead of time). Everyone was so nice, and I felt like a million bucks after leaving. Ill definitely be back!

Alexandra and Miranda were so wonderful. They are both estheticians and had great input. They were kind and professional. They went above and beyond to explain what they were doing and made sure everything was comfortable.The products used were also amazing.

We scheduled a Sparty (a spa party) for our office to celebrate a special birthday. It was incredible!! What a wonderful way to spend time with Co-workers in such a relaxed, calming atmosphere. I honestly can not criticize a single thing about this place. The entire place is SPOTLESS. Everyone was so professional, clean, and did such a wonderful job. I personally received a facial from Kathryn and a massage from Alice and they were both phenomenal! My co-workers had other specialists and everyone was extremely happy with their services. I never felt so relaxed or so well-taken care of at a spa. To top it off, it was raining outside when we were leaving and Carey ordered us an Uber so we could continue our fun day without having to walk to lunch in the rain! It was completely unexpected and just goes to show how thoughtful and dedicated they are to making a great experience. I Cant wait to go again!! Thank you MDS!!

After a bad experience at another spa, I was ecstatic to get ahold of Carey, the owner, to get an an appointment here. What a life-altering experience! Carey was very attentive and personable. She listened to my request and my situation. She texted and emailed to keep me updated and ensure I was cared for.When I got to the appointment, what a great experience! From the moment we (a friend and I were traveling for work) walked in, the fragrance of the spa was so soothing and pleasant. We were greeted immediately and it was very beautiful. The owner checked us in and introduced each of us to our therapists.I was cared for by Elexia. Wow. Her voice was so soothing and her skills were above and beyond what could only be described and heaven-sent.She knew exactly where I hurt, how hard to push, and just where my therapeutic edge was without even asking. I came in for my appointment in a lot of pain and high stress. I left as an entirely new person, completely relaxed and in euphoria from the pain and stress relief.Everything from the front door to the linen in the rooms was carefully selected and gave a wonderful feeling of zen.I will ABSOLUTELY be returning, as I am now a member of their loyalty program! This was the BEST experience ever. My only complaint is that I cannot take them back home (east coast) with me!

I was very stiff so I booked a one hour deep tissue and it honestly wasn’t great. Very little pressure. No work done on lower back, glutes or chest. Now I’m still stiff but also oily.

I got a facial from Rachel and a manicure from Amber. All the staff at Monterey Day Spa were friendly and professional. My facial was heavenly and soo relaxing. Manicure was wonderful...I love my nails now! I will definitely be going back soon. Thank you Rachel and Amber :)

We had a reservation for a bachelorette party and were greeted by friendly staff and a party table for our food and drinks. The place did seem a bit small for our partys size (10 gals) because we only had the small entrance area to hang out while half the group received their massages. But the services themselves were fantastic!

We went here for our anniversary And needless to say it was a great experience. We got the couples package which included a bath soak, massage, facial, and pedicure. All the people were great and service was top notch. Will definitely return!

In Monterey visiting for a few days and easily booked an appointment online with Monterey Day Spa for my 2 sisters and myself for massages. We three each had general massages and were all extremely happy with the high caliber of our massage therapists. My massage was one of the best massages I have ever had and the therapist listened to what my body told her and performed the best firm massage. This Spa is the place to go if your in Monterey and want top notch services.

Monterey day spa is truly a gem ! From start to finish we had a great experience . We called around several spas to check availability and inquire about pricing and packages. The receptionist was friendly and let me know what was available and advised me they do not hold appointments so we booked to secure our ideal time. We received a confirmation email with address and spa reminders like “plan for weekend traffic “ which made us plan to leave town extra early and good thing because monterey gets heavy weekend traffic. We arrived on tile and received massages , facials and pedicures package. THE BEST and amazing pricing. Many Other spas didn’t offer pedicures or couples rooms. Everyone was friendly and gave us great service! Thank you for adding to our Perfect weekend!

I gifted my pregnant wife up for a PRENATAL MASSAGE. They said they can fit her in on a monday at 445pm. She gets there and she told me that the front desk girls were saying that she didnt make an appointment at all, however they told her the day prior that she was coming in for a PRENATAL MASSAGE. They tell her today that they dont have enough workers licensed to do prenatal massages so she has to wait another F*cken hour for her my gift to her... Look, I massage my wife every other night when Im not home, but this was a gift to from me to her. 150 bucks for poor service and asuming my pregnant wife lied. I see that these google reviews are BEYOND oblivious of what truly happens at that poor excuse of a Spa. Yes, Im mad and NEVER recommending that place to anyone. 0 stars. Also Change your services if you cant afford workers to do prenatal massages.

We had a fantastic experience here with sweetheart package and hot rocks massage with Megyn and Martha for our anniversary! It was absolutely incredible from the time we walked in the door and well worth it! This was my second time here and well definitely be back ! Great place with wonderful people who know exactly what theyre doing!

This place offers a very friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Enjoyed our Sweetheart Couples Massage. This included a 20 minute soak and 90 minute massage. A perfect combination. Highly recommend this spa.

Got waxing and deep tissue massage - both fantastic, waxing was very thorough and efficient and they are great at putting you at ease while a total stranger smears hot goo on your lady bits. Deep tissue massage was wonderful, went to bed and had the best nap of my life. Would do again if Im in California.

Spa itself is very well kept. I had a Swedish massage that was ok. There was too much stretching and use of long single point pressure moments and not enough massaging.My mother, on the other hand, LOVED her facial.

When I travel, I like to enjoy a spa day toward the end of my trip. This wouldve been a meh experience, however, the ending really made it poor. I booked a package with a body scrub and massage along with a spa pedicure. The robe that was left for me to put on after my scrub so I could walk to the shower had a sleeve inside out. Even though my appointment was at their opening time, their was a basket FULL of used tissues in the bathroom/shower room. The shower wasnt started for me so I had to wait for the water to heat up.I returned for my massage which was ok. After the massage, I was given a spa gift of the dry brush she used on me and two plastic condiment cups filled with body scrub for me to take. What am I supposed to do with two flimsy salad dressing type cups of body scrub? They arent sealed. I certainly cant put them in my suitcase.I was then told thanks and to have a good day. I had to go back to the counter and interrupt two employees conversation to tell them I had booked another treatment.My final straw was when another employee interrupted my pedicure to ask if the woman doing it wanted anything from Starbucks. Are you kidding me? I knew I shouldve waited until I got to San Francisco to go to a spa.The massage part of the Spa Pedicure involved zero pressure and really was just a woman running lotion on my legs. Theres no dryer so I was stuck just sitting there while this other woman walked up and asked me to settle my account.

It was my husbands first massage and facial, it surpassed his expectations and the staff was kind and professional. It was so relaxing during the massage and we came out feeling like a new person!

Came here with some friends and the first part of the experience was great,front desk was friendly,the massage and facial was wonderful with the nicest girls, but the manicure was where they lost me.After my facial I was directed up from to wait for the person doing my nails, when I walked up and past everyone getting theirs done there was a lady sitting there waiting but she didn’t say anything to me so I figured it wasn’t for me.she sat there a few more minutes then came and got me so I picked a color and was seated.She kept looking at me the whole time and we didn’t talk, then she took me over to pedicure chairs and left the blue solution on my feet for so long I almost wiped it off myself, the girls I was with joked that she went and took her lunch and left me there, my mani/pedi color didn’t even cover my whole nails and was chipping off within a day. I’m a receptionist and the majority of my work is writing in files and answering phones so I’m not doing anything rigorous to cause them to come off so fast.It’s been a few weeks but the experience just still doesn’t sit right with me since it was a lot of money.

Fantastic spa! Clean, comfy, friendly, pleasant environment. Lisa is very skilled at massage and facials, and Tatiana does great stone massage. I will go back next time I visit Monterey.

My experience was ok at this spa. I arrived at 3:15-3:20. I had a 90 minute massage scheduled for 3:30 which got sarted 10 minutes late. The therapist stopped at 5:00. So instead of a 90 minute session, I had an 80 minute. I informed the receptionist of the shorted time. She proceeded to charge me for a full 90 minutes but I stated the problem again. She did end up taking some money off, so it did make up for it. Overall, I was satisfied with their service regarding this problem

Greeting was poor both days but the staff providing services was amazing. Music is relaxing, no frills, no beverages, great nail polish colors (rich, deep, and unique). Massage was the best Ive ever had.

The Day Spa is beautiful, relaxing and well run, very clean, true customer service, and reasonable prices. I am a regular customer for the spa shellac manicure and the spa pedicure - the new Fruit and Floral pedicure is fantastic! My manicurist is Anna and she does a fabulous job! It is all you can imagine in a great mani and pedi! I am very fortunate to have found this establishment and the associates providing the services.

I called and scheduled an appointment for 115pm for a deep tissue. i had specific needs which i wrote down and verbally expressed to the therapist. she worked the wrong side and did this swedish style with her fore arms with very little pressure. i stopped the massage 45 min into the 90 min. when i told the front desk, the woman there, who was the OWNER i found out later, did not care or apologize. she simply charged my card 85 dollars for 45 minutes. i called to talk to the manager but he was with a client. i was told that he would call back. no such luck.and lastly while i was sitting there i could here employees cussing in the back, the halls echo and you can here it from the front .. and i heard every word. Avoid this place, its a waste of money. Also read their POOR yelp reviews and you can see that Im not the only peron who experienced bad service and horrible massages.

I really enjoyed my massage here. The get booked up in advance, I was able to schedule something the week of July 4th but not many spots were available and nothing the day-of. Professional and relaxing atmosphere, luxe bathroom.

Not Professional and Poor CommunicationI booked a group reservation in March and confirmed via phone they were able to accomodate a large group. I followed up via email with no response, followed up via phone and they have to cancel my entire group reservation. I understand scheduling during a pandemic can be difficult but I do not appreciate confirming they can host me and then not communicating they need to cancel.

Got some pre-wedding nail painting done here the day before and the gel polish is still on me.Everyone on the staff was very sweet and my entire group had a lovely time hanging out for a little bit of pampering.

I got a wax from Alexandra Fletcher. She is very kind and professional and did a very nice and thorough job. The price seems a little high but I think that would be the case anywhere in Monterey. I would definitely recommend her to others!

Very dissatisfied with service. Attempted to book a couples massage, but I called to confirm and was told it was canceled by mistake. I spoke with the supposed owner and was told it was an accident and there was nothing that could be done to help me. Thanks for nothing and disappointing my newlywed best friends.

Ive been in the beauty industry for over 20 years. Ive always worked at full service salons. Ive had many facials. The facial Alura gave me on Tuesday Oct 6th 2015 was hands down the most relaxing experience in my life. Next time I visit or past by Monterey Ill be calling Alura for sure.

My daughter booked a mess deep tissue massage with hot stones with IreneFor a gift ,it was fantastic !She was able to get deep in my muscle to help break up all of tension !I have been unable to relax for years because no one‘s been able to get deep enough and release the tensionI rebooked an appointment for an hour and a half next trip.I’m also going to get my husband a deep tissue massage for his birthday

They have bad customer service I was charge 210 for a service I did not attend and the service was 310 they gave me a hard time and just ruined mine and my wife’s honeymoon I recommend not booking any appointments this was probably the worst I been treated very unprofessional 🤬
