Eva was amazing! She has a background in PT, so she really knows the areas to target. This was the best massage I received in my life. She takes her time and care to tend to your needs. I fell asleep during some of my massage because it was so peaceful. The oils they use are very therapeutic. I left my massage today feeling energized, rejuvenated, and lighter. This is the best spa in northern Virginia. They give the best massages and their facials will leave you glowing for weeks. The customer service is top tier and they always make you feel welcome and special. Definitely recommend this spot for a self pampering day or even a couples massage.

Today was my first time visiting Moon Lake Spa and I had a wonderful experience. I arrived early by about 30 minutes and my room was ready so I got to rest comfortably in an individual room until my massage therapist was read. She even came up to get started a few minutes early to get started. My massage therapist was very kind and professional. As someone who has been getting professional massages for over 10 years, I can confidently say her technique is one of the best! I thoroughly enjoyed my massage and left feeling very relaxed. I look forward to coming back again soon and getting another massage along with trying a facial. 10/10!

Today was my first time trying out Moon Lake Spa, and I can guarantee I’ll be back many more times! All of the workers were professional, kind, and created a warm and inviting atmosphere. I’d absolutely recommend their 90 minute superhero package. My skin is glowing, and my body feels amazing!

I get massages regularly and have to say this is one of my top new favorites. The lady was very nice, gentle and asked consistently about pressure, and how I was doing. She had great massage techniques that left me feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Most massage places offer different things but I was pleasantly surprised to see they offered a back and foot scrub that I added on and was happy with! I will definitely be coming back :)

Ava was is incredible! I recently started working out and my muscles have been extremely tight and sore. So I booked a sports massage with Ava. After one session, I felt so much better. She’s great at what she does, today I just made my 3rd appointment with her. Even if your muscles aren’t in need of instant recovery, please go see Ava. She will do miracles to improve your overall health and recovery.

Love this place! Clean and professional! I have acne bother me for well! The first time Thea cleaned all my pore! My skin improved and I had the other two treatments so far my skin look great! The facial is amazing! Highly recommend

I have visited Moon Lake Spa twice and both times have been amazing! The first time I had a 60 min regular massage and the 2nd time I also had a 60 minute massage and added on a 60 minute Hydra Facial. The spa is clean, cozy, and has a calm vibe. The massage tables have adjustable sections, you want to bring your back up, no problem, feet, no problem. It is also comfotable and heated to your preference. I could spend all day there! The customer service is amazing. They go above and beyond to make sure you are happy and comfortable. I drive all the way from DC just to go here. I highly recommend spa and cannot wait to try more services!

I’ve had massages from many places but Moon Lake is the best that I’ve been to. Wanted to give a shout-out to Mia and Brenda. I’ve been dealing with chronic lower back pain that was not relieved by doctor-recommended stretches. I was afraid it was a herniated disc or pinched nerve. But finally, immediate relief from a massage by Mia today confirmed that it was mainly muscle strain and tightness. She knows where to put pressure to relieve the tight knots. THANK YOU, Mia! I’ve had massage by Brenda before too and she’s also very good. It seems that all of Moon Lake masseuses that I have had there have a certain level of training and skills. The facility is small but clean and smells very pleasant.

I’ve spent years visiting a chiropractor to deal with back pain and have always had little results. A few months ago my wife booked me a massage as a birthday gift, and I had my first appointment with Ava. I was shocked when I left after a single session to find the back pain that I’d been fighting with for years, was gone. Ava is a gem, she’s a cross between a sports medicine doctor, a masseuse, and a chiropractor and is able to instantly detect where I have stress and work it out. She’s the reason I go back every 4-5 weeks now and live mostly pain free even in my mid 40s. I can’t say enough good things about the experience I continue to have there. Thank you!

One of the most reasonably priced and best massages I have ever had - Mia gives a true deep tissue massage and is wonderful at it! The spa is clean and the staff is welcoming, and appointments are prompt. Definitely will be returning.

I think I have finally found my go-to spa. Staff are super friendly and welcoming, especially the very friendly person at the front desk (didn’t get their name unfortunately but they are lovely!). Had a great massage and looking forward to coming back regularly in the near future.

After having a good experience with my husband weeks ago during a couples massage, I decided to go back and try a solo prenatal massage with Thea (which my husband said was excellent). I booked my appointment with her via the website wasn’t but was told she was not available upon my arrival. The reason I’m writing this review is because the therapist doing my prenatal massage was suppressing her coughs during the massage. I noticed she was only massaging me with one hand so I opened my eyes and saw that she was using a Kleenex to quietly blow her nose too. I stopped and asked her if she was sick or recovering from a cold. She insisted she was allergic to the massage oil. I told her we could stop if she has a cold because I am pregnant and don’t want to get sick. She was very apologetic and insisted she was allergic to the product. The coughs did not sound allergy induced so I wasn’t buying it. I complained to the front desk who also promised she was allergic to the product “grapeseed oil” - which still raises concerns.

I had the best massage done by Sia who was able to undo a lot of knots thru her deep tissue expertise. Magic hands is what I called her, it certainly felt like I was walking on clouds once the massage was over.

I have never felt so clean and relaxed after a facial and a massage. The staff is professional and knowledgeable. It is a great place for any spa treatment.

This spa is a hidden gem in the DC area. The prices are reasonable and truly worth the effort and work put in for clients. Omg! Get the super deluxe facial by Aziza! This lady’s hands are so strong and the products felt fabulous. You get a micro current face lift and more! And Miranda did my massage, consistently asking about my comfort. The massage was amazing. I wanted to take some time for self care with a massage somewhere relaxing and professional, but also affordable. I chose Moon Lake based on reviews and was very happy to see that it lived up to its reputation. Moon Lake Spa is beautiful, clean, and well designed. The masseuse focused on the areas I had asked for, checked that the pressure was okay, and ensured I was comfortable. I will definitely be returning.

Update:I recieved a call from the owner/manager after i left this review. She was very apologetic and explained being very short-staffed due the Holiday. I requested a call back on another day since I was at a very loud store and could not hear her.She called me back a few days later and apologized again. We went over all the things that went wrong during the appointment but at the end of the day, I asked what the resolution would be. I woudl be ok with a partial refund to cover the repair of the gold necklace. She agreed to a full refund and offered a make up service. I am very appreciative with her follow up and attempt to correct the situation. Unfortunately, my SO is not one to try something again once it goes so wrong. I do believe that they are a good business and a lot can be said for when a business tries to correct its mistakes.I had also purchased a $200.00 GC for my inlaw for Christmas. I will update on her experience as soon as she books her appointment.I bought my SO a hot stone massage package as part of his Christmas present. I scheduled for NYE at 9 am since I knew we’d be home and he’s always up early. I thought it would be a great way for him to end 2023. At 9:07 am (after he was already at the spa) I receive an email that his 9:00 am appt was now going to be at 9:10. I thought, no big deal. They are running a little late. Turns out his masseuse was told her first appointment was at 10 am (I scheduled this a week before on Christmas Eve). They had another gentlemen start his massage. When his masseuse came in, he said that her hands were ice cold. He then heard a metal clank and didn’t think much of it. He comes home, I ask him how it went. He said ok and explains about the masseuse being late, and how the stones were in a bag or heated bags (not the black stones like the picture). I also had bought the package with the hot stone massage (80 min.) and foot scrub. They did not give him a foot scrub. They gave him a back scrub. Then he realizes that his gold chain with pendant that he wears daily is missing and he thinks back to the clanking sound he had heard while being massaged. I call the spa and explain: so and so was there today getting a massage and now his gold chain is missing. Did you happen to find it? The response I get: no, I’m sorry. We don’t have any ability for massage today. At this point, I get a little upset and say: Are you listening? That is not what I asked. So repeat myself. He then immediately knew what I was talking about and told me they had his necklace. We immediately drive back to Vienna. They left his gold chain in an envelope at the front desk with his name on it. There was no one there to hand it to him. It had been broken during the massage, which is why it fell off. No mention of this at any point. No one to even apologize or attempt to make it right. I always try to do a lot of research to try to be an informed consumer and this spa had good reviews. I can say that we will not be returning and that I cannot recommend this business to anyone.

Moon Lake Spa was wonderful! They have kind and attentive staff as well as a professional and clean environment. We did a couples massage and it was amazing! From the moment you walk in until when you leave, they want to make sure youre having a calm and relaxing experience, even serving you hot tea at the end. I also find their prices to be affordable compared to other spas in the area. Great quality service and will definitely be returning for another massage and a facial in the future. This is the place for a good spa treatment! The price was amazing for the tremendous amount of care and service I received. I got a facial and foot massage during my visit and have never felt better. My massage therapist and esthetician Thea really listened to my skin care needs and not only helped me understand my skin better but also make me feel more positive and confident. I will definitely be returning for more treatments in the future with Thea and the Moon Lake Spa team. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

I recently got a massage and facial here, and I left feeling happy and relaxed! My masseuse, Phoebe, was very professional and did an excellent job! It was my first time getting hot stones, and she was patient and professional when applying the stones. My esthetician, Flora, added to my relaxation by giving me my facial. My skin felt rejuvenated once she was done. I’ll be back here for another massage and facial soon!

What an amazing little jewel in Vienna. I was looking for a birthday present for my 15 year old daughter and thanks to Google I found this spa. I made an appointment for a massage for two and a mini facial for two. It was one of the special packages that had. The moment my daughter and I arrived we were treated with a warm smile. Everyone here was extremely kind and attentive and they cater to your needs. I will definitely be going back there and will definitely recommend them to everyone! On a family vacation. We booked eight people, they were the nicest, quickest and most efficient. The massage was magical, perfect on the areas I needed to address and accomodations were amazing. Staff was friendly and welcoming. I wish I lived in the area to come monthly!!!!

Im not good with words but this please does exactly what you want them to do. The right kind of pressure for the massage , the gentle hands for the facials that you want - you got it. You want a clean location with amazing service and this is exactly where you want to head to. The best part of it its not that pricey either. I went there on a Saturday evening and got a face waxing service with a microderm facial with the add-on service of 15 minutes shoulder/neck massage. My estheticians name was Mina - highly recommend her as well.

Their package deals are competitively priced as well! Finding a new spa can be a bit daunting, but Moon Lake is super nice and well worth it!

I booked a luxury spa package which included a body scrub, facial and massage.If I could only explain how amazing of a massage I had. I could tell by the first touch that it was going to be a great massage. I did my best not to moan but a few escaped me when she did some magic with the hot stones. I usually dont enjoy hot stones, but she had the stones gliding exactly where I had tension.My face came out nice tto. I had a chance to speak with tge owener and she explained that she trained her staff very well after working in 5 star facilities such as the Ritz-Carlton.You wont go wrong with this Spa!

I went to this place because I had some back problems from being hunched over a desk often. The spa is very clean and the staff were incredibly nice. The service was amazing and my back feels so much better, they really got out all the knots. I would definitely come back again and recommend this place to everyone!

The couples massage was awesome! 75 minutes was the perfect amount of time. Everyone was welcoming, professional, and super friendly. We enjoyed the CBD oil add on and felt so relaxed afterwards. We will definitely go back.

Check your Credit card Statement, was charged twice for the same service. Called the Spa to ask for refund, they claimed they did not see a duplicate charge even after giving them evidenceI was forced to have to dispute the charge with the credit card company in order to be reimbursed. Minor but we scheduled with person A and when my wife checked in they had her go with person B. Quality of service provided was good left a sour taste with being charged twice and not resolving the matter inhouse.

Professional staff with skillful techniques. I booked a combo of facial and massage services, and could not love their service more! Fantastic service ever! I was not sure if I should go and have an appointment at the special time. This place did such amazing work on sanitizing. Besides basic sanitizing, I saw a blue light in the room and someone explained that was an UV light which could sanitize the air. Impressive service and clean place.

We were greeted as soon as we walked in and the 2 ladies that we had were professional and kind. I had a deep message and facial that was awesome. ETA: 8 months later still disappointed at the lack of customer service and the manager’s tone when trying to find a resolve 🥲Original review:Wanted to love this place, and had received an excellent referral from a trusted source, super convenient location and seemingly reasonable member pricing... however my experience was so unpleasant. I tried to discuss further with staff, but they were more interested in arguing than heeding feedback. So, instead, here we are.I tried booking via phone and online as I wanted to make sure I did so correctly for my first visit. I found an intro package for two as new clients. I was able to confirm by phone after a few rounds of phone tag (person who answered was in an appointment, or at home at 7pm so unable to see the schedule?), I was given verbal confirmation that I booked an appointment for two that could be updated to deep tissue. I called the morning of to find out if we were going to be in same room or separate, and was told the same room was no issue.When I arrived we were given paper work to finish quickly, and made our way to the tables. We were waiting several minutes before the service providers entered the room. While waiting we noticed loud beeping noises like construction (on a Sunday morning) and the same very short relaxing music loop playing via the speaker with someones notifications abruptly pinging at random but consistent intervals.The staff were very vocal with pressure check ins during the beginning of the session. When we were able to finally work up to the deep pressure I was seeking... I was in heaven. That lasted a few glorious minutes. Then, without notice or communication- the service provider changed. I was keenly aware as I could suddenly feel a thumb nail or two(!!), and the pressure went WAY down, to cruise ship light. Additionally the new service provider worked on a specific body area for a disappointingly long time, that had *already* been the focus for 10+ minutes. This was very jarring and despite my multiple verbal communications, and requests to change the pressure- no consistent or reasonable change was made. The areas of concern as outlined on my paperwork were never addressed, despite verbal confirmation before the appointment.I tried explaining these items to the desk person immediately- and they offered a nominal discount. They explained showed me their internal schedule and that one of their regulars was off that day... yet why was this not communicated any of the times I confirmed via phone (included day of?!). Once I was able to process what happened, I realized the session honestly just stressed me out more than anything. In (yikes) two decades of receiving an array of body work and massage services in professional capacities, Ive never experienced a change in service provider with no warning or reasonable explanation during my session.The next day I called to explain my position- as I was hoping to prevent this same situation from happening to someone else at the very least. The manager? was argumentative and not receptive to my feedback.Unfortunate.

I initially came to Moonlake Spa in need of relief from severe foot pain and a frozen shoulder. After only a few weeks treatment on each issue I was pain free. I had such a great outcome that my husband began going with me for regular therapeutic massages. The therapists at Moonlake Spa are experts in therapeutic massage and reflexology. They are professional, kind, and truly awesome. The spa is very clean and the price is very reasonable. I gave it five stars but it is really worth ten. Give them a try. You won’t regret it.

I recommend Thea at MoonLakeSpa for prenatal massage. She is very professional and highly knowledgeable. I came with a back pain due to pregnancy weight and she knew exactly what to do to ease the pain. So far I used her services few times in the last couple of weeks. Will definitely keep coming.The place is clean and I felt safe during pandemic time.They are renovating upstairs to accommodate more people.

I am a frequent user of Groupon massage deals, and MOON Lake Spa is hands down the best in terms of licensed professional massage therapist , courteous staff, and very CLEAN. People should check this place and come to book a facial or massage!!I count the acne treatment service I received here as one of the best facial experiences I have had in northern VA.The staff showed her patience to deal with all the acnes around my neck area, which could cause a lot of pain if someone is not skillful. But the esthetician working in Moonlake spa was super professional!I nearly didnt feel any pain when she cleaned them all out.I have a ton of stress recently due to my Ph.D work and thesis deadlines. Lack of sleep and long hours in front of my computer caused me acnes and tensions around my neck and shoulders. But moonlake spa will always offer the best facial service and the best deep tissue body work whenever I need it.Thank you for being so friendly and supportive! I appreciate your services!

I have known Moon and Helen for a very longtime. Both of them makes you feel like you have known them for a longtime. Very pleasant to speak too. There shop isalways very clean and looks like a spa. You can not beat there prices. Love their Technique massages and both of them have different styles. Most of the time I fall into that lovely massage world where you almost fall asleep and you wake up before you snore really loudly. Every time I go in and lay down I say I will not fall asleep. Lol!If you are not comfortable to lay on the table or you may not have a lot of time then they also do a fantastic job on Feet. Wow.Give them a try you never know until you at least try them. I had an hr hydra facial with Thea on Monday. She is the sweetest and v detailed in my extractions and making sure my face was squeaky clean when I left. I booked on google which is what I personally prefer- I highly recommend bc I left there w a glowy and dewey face-

Without question, one of the best and reasonably priced experiences I have ever had. I have been seeing Moon for several years and the quality and consistency of the services she provides is second to none. She is thorough and very good. Definitely a keeper!

I dont know how did the other people in the list end up giving 5 stars to this place and that is what made me to decide to go to this place but my experience was only bad. The person working with me kept on hurting me all the way. I did inform her that she was hurting me multiple times but it didnt help. I didnt enjoy a single moment of this and she failed to help me relax. I was just thinking i wish it finishes soon and felt bad to just get up and leave. $60 bucks is a lot of money to pay for an experience like this. They really need to fix themselves.
