I love this place. It’s absolutely my safe space. One thing that means so much to me is the way the staff makes you feel safe. Yes they have to be strict sometimes, and I’ve read many reviews that talk about being kicked out. But they were probably drunk and acting foolish, which makes it unsafe for everyone. I’ve been kicked out of places in my past for being drunk and stupid in public. From the manager to the bartenders and the performers, they do their best to make it a safe fun space for everyone. It’s too bad people don’t see all the stuff in the background that they do for patrons. And the food is phenomenal! My goodness is that food delicious!!!!!! I love Mad Myrna’s and if you want to go out and have a good time and act right you will have a blast.
YOU GOTTA GO!!!! I been meaning to go to Mad Myrna’s because I hear about the spot so often from my friends in Anchorage. But their good words couldn’t prepare me for how fun that space is.First, the food — usually I expect bar food to take a backseat to the drinks or performance, but their stuff is the real deal. Their team knows what they’re doing. I had a grilled cheese that just melted in my mouth, it was that luscious. I tried the skewers too, which were also good!Second, the drinks — Not only do they look good (they have large glasses and decorate each drink according to their character) but they taste good too. The drinks were reasonable price, around $10, for something that’s both instaworthy and yummy. Mine lasted me the whole night, but I almost wished it didn’t just so I could try more — they have a hugeeee range of unique drinks with funny names.Third — THE PERFORMANCES!! Every single performance was incredible and wow, THE RANGE!! Each diva was so different from the last, but they all stood out in their own way. I understand why this bar takes top 3 in the nation! Shoutout to host Hank for keeping us all on our toes, his improv always kept us rolling. A few of my fav. performers I saw were Athena Nuff (most athletic dance moves and yes I caught that voguing in the end hun!); Krustyna Clown (she started with TSwift just to shock us when she transitioned to Queen Bey, and she is soooo good at engaging with the crowd, I had a few moments where I got to sing with her); and Dela Rosa (who sings LIVEEEEE and WOWWWW her vocals are heavenly). But, they were all amazing. And it wasn’t just the drag performers — even the DJ had some hosting moments, and while I forget his name, the person collecting bills performed and OMG. That was our. fav. set, when he came out as Ash from Pokemon! We went crazy for that one.Fourth - the atmosphere! I think that’s what made this place stand out the most. Everyone really went out of their way to make it feel like a community in there. And yet it also felt so effortless. You could tell everyone working there are just such good friends, and it translates to the entire bar. The host would make jokes or shoutout other folks in the bar, and they would have this great banter, and you could also tell there were people in the crowd who were good friends with some of the performers. They invite people with birthdays up to the stage too, and it’s clear how much the audience feels welcomed in there just by how comfortable they are on stage! Our friend got to twerk up there 🤣 even after the performance, the dance floor felt just as communal as during the performance.I have so many words to say (clearly) about how much I adored my experience there, but I will just leave it as: GOOOO! If this is your scene, you will love it as much as I did. Everyone was so fun, friendly, welcoming, engaging, accepting, joyful…all the positive things! And don’t forget to get that tip money from their ATM — you will want to spread the love.
Matt Verners is the best place ever It has been my go to since my arrival in Anchorage in 2017 and I have usually always gone on Fridays so thats all I can speak about and I have never paid more than $5 on a Friday ever Oh except for when they had a gala show it was extraordinary and then I think it was maybe 10$. I have never known them to price gouge. The name should be Mad Myrnas Everybodys Bar.It is truly the best place to hang out, eat, dance prale and everything in between...in Anchorage Alaska!!!!
I was not expecting the inside to be so fancy! It felt like we were transported from Alaska to a city full of night life. The drinks were great, the drag show was stellar, everyone was so sweet including the poor security guard who had to keep telling us we couldnt stand in certain places. The outdoor smoking area was fun, too. I will absolutely be coming back.
Staff is always incredibly rude every time I’ve been there. Kind of weird for an LGBT+ community that stands for acceptance to be so hypocritically judge-y. It can be a fun bar as long as you don’t get offended by the miserable staff. I work at a bar myself and understand customers can get drunk, (cuz duh, it’s a bar) but even I don’t act like THAT towards my customers because it’s my job to be nice to them.
What a glow up! The renovated Myrna’s is fierce and fabulous. The new menu is a great addition, hearty portions help soak up the generous pours. The Divas Show was super entertaining while remaining COVID conscious. Always love a bit of audience participation. The entertainers were diverse in both their drag styles and genres creating a well rounded show. Anchorage and Alaska is lucky to have such an asset.
Bartenders here can make good creative drinks and not just pour alcohol. Food is equally good and creative (if there is a food special try it!) can get quite busy, love coming here early for drinks and food to go.Edit: the food. The food is *so* tasty.
Went the other night and loved it! Such a great first time experience and hope to go again soon! Absolutely amazing performers, went during TSwift vs Beyoncé and it was magical! 💞 food and drinks were delicious.
I’ve been to Mad Myrna’s many times and never had a bad experience prior. Last night I encountered the rudest bar staff in all of Anchorage. I felt intimidated by the hostility of the bouncer when I was just celebrating a birthday with friends and wanted to collect my belongings before I left.
Always a good time at Mad Myrna’s!! Great service, food & drinks! Been to 3 shows and never been disappointed. If you haven’t been there it’s a must go and see for yourself. Place has been remodeled (looks so nice). If no show go for the food and drinks the food portions are so huge and drinks are great!!!
Some friends and I watched the Diva Variety show, which I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a wild night. None of us knew what to expect when we attended and we were really overwhelmed by how loud everything was. The venue did have earplugs when we asked but by the time we had them, I was so overwhelmed that it didn’t help. We ended up leaving early but I do want to give Myrna’s one more chance to see if I can handle it.Overall Mad Myrna’s has a lively atmosphere, a strong pour, and talented performers. I recommend the bar and shows only if you like loud bright places or prepare ahead of time with earplugs.Edit 2 weeks later, change from 4 stars to 2:The more I recall my experience at Myrna’s the more violated I feel. I felt heckled for tips and it took me off guard that everything was so sexual. I just wish I had warning. I felt violated so many times. I also didn’t like that the costs weren’t upfront. As someone who has to budget outings, I wish the tips were just added into the table reservation. I was already weirded out that it was $20 for the table without taxes and fees, then $5 each to get in, then ofc we spent at least $30 each on drinks… not counting tips…. I also didn’t know the show was interactive and it made me feel uncomfortable because I even chose a table at the back. Although the security people seemed very nice, the bartenders were rude and didn’t even try to interact with anyone. Also the drag performers were encouraging people to drink and that made me uncomfortable because what about people practicing sobriety? I felt like this experience was closer to a strip club…. And I feel violated because that wasn’t advertised… also at one point the drag performers made fun of someone’s makeup and I didn’t like that. The audience and performers were also mostly white which felt weird. The drinks were also very over priced…. More club vibes than bar vibes,,. And so so loud. I don’t think I can’t handle going back… I feel uncomfortable just thinking about it… I was so excited to have a safe space in anchorage but mad Myrna’s is not for me.
Hubs and I went Myrna’s with another couple last Saturday night. So much fun! Good food, great drinks and the music at the show (Jesus Christ Superstar) was amazing! It’s always a fun night at Myrna’s.
This place is such a vibe! Its very mysterious from the outside...nothing fancy looking by any means. Then you walk in and are surrounded by antique framed TV screens all around with vintage style decor. There are various rooms...I love the layout. It separates dance floor from the bar from the stage area where they often have drag and other performances going on! We came here for drinks and a meal and were happy with it all! The drink names are creative and fun. The pelvic thrust was super yummy! The bartender was also very nice. We cant wait to come back one day and tear up the dance floor!
My 1st visit to the 49th State was made complete last night when my husband and I attended the Divas Show in Anchorage. The atmosphere was electric. The performers were bangin. The food was amazing. All this said, I was enthralled all night. Thanks go to the queens who made our night so unforgettable. We will definitely be back again sometime in the future. 😍
Beautiful. Inclusive. Welcoming. Powerful.Mad Myrna’s is the place to be in Anchorage! Whether you’re here for a great show, kareoke night, ambiance, food, or drinks, this place has it all!!!! Their chef and their food are amazing, stop by for a DELICIOUS dinner! Highly recommend the pizzas and noodle bowls. My friend came to visit and said this was the best drag show he’s ever seen! Well worth the trip to Alaska. Thank you Mad Myrna’s!
This is my absolute favorite club, hands down (or hands up if youre having that good of a time!).Ive been going to Myrnas since before it was remodeled, it was a great time back then and now its even better. The food is absolutely amazing. Its not bar food at all, its REAL food and its so damn delicious! The drinks are super tasty and fun. Last time I was here I had a drink called Big Swish and it was soooo good and came with a cute little mermaid on the rim. My friend had the Classy Trashy that came with a little can of champagne in it, it was kinda like 2 drinks in 1 and was super tasty. The service is always good. In all the times Ive been here Ive never had any issues. The bartenders are friendly and pretty cool. Misha is my favorite, shes always such a blast and never fails to make a good drink.I always come for the drag shows, they never disappoint! Ive been to drag shows in 5 different states and Myrnas consistently puts on the best show. The drag queens are amazing and so fun! My favorites are Golden Delicious and Hank Vandickerson. Its no wonder that Hank is kind of a local celeb, hes not only a fantastic drag performer, but honestly a good human. As a bisexual woman, I always feel welcome here. Ive been to some gay clubs where the regulars looked at me like just another straight girl ruining the gay vibe, thankfully thats never happened at Myrnas.Overall the vibe at Myrnas is classy and fun. I dont live in Alaska anymore so I cant go here regularly, but I always go whenever Im in town and recommend it to anyone I know whos visiting Anchorage. Its an absolute must, no question.
First I want to say, the bartenders and the karaoke DJ are awesome. The DJ even tried to be accommodating as much as he could. But the General Manager has managed to make a bar where everyone is welcomed, unless you have a medical condition. I cannot do the flashing lights medically. I was told that one person is not worth changing the entire atmosphere. Which I could understand, if there was any sort of warning about that. I was told there are warnings for lights for the drag shows when you book tickets (I didnt see it there either when I checked), but there is nothing that says it for karaoke or the dance floor. I have been coming here for over a month and it hasnt been a problem, until the GM stopped in tonight. I cant believe that one of the most welcoming bars to ANYBODY, is not welcoming to me. I am so upset and truly sad that I feel so singled out by a place that is supposed to make me feel at home. Im not trying to start anything. The only thing I would like is to see if we can fix this, I love this place and am truly upset by how I was made to feel tonight. I feel like a piece of my heart has ripped. So long for now Myrnas. I hope to see you soon.
Didn’t get a pic of the pizza before it was devoured! This made it from there to Eagle River, still warm, the cheese inside the appetizer still melty, via Grub Hub. Pizza was awesome and they fulfilled my special request of added diced tomatoes. Mad Myrna’s, I miss being there in person so much! Food was not typically why I went there previously. You guys just keep raising the bar and delivering though. Much love and thanks to you and the Grub Hub driver! Such a worthwhile splurge! Only way it coulda been better would be if I coulda added one of your drinks!
Chicken strips are good pizza is lacking flavor maybe more sauce is needed
I’m genderqueer and came with my partner. We were excited to try out this place and watch the variety show but left early feeling disappointed and uncomfortable. Not because of the nature of the show itself but because it appeared that a disproportionate percentage of patrons were straight people, especially men, cheering most loudly and tipping most frequently when the queens and kings entered various states of undress. The performers were also constantly fleecing the audience for tips. The vibe of the show seemed two drunken cha-cha slides to the left removed from the vibe of a regular strip club. And the way the audience reacted to the performers made me feel less affirmed in my gender, and more fetishized. It was unfortunately uncomfortable. And VERY loud! Bring earplugs if you try this place out.Drinks were wildly overpriced. I think after a %15 tip my old fashioned was almost $18. Most of the staff seemed tired and unwilling to engage with the patrons beyond the bare minimum. Seems despite the pricing the staff aren’t paid enough to actually care
My friends and I came to this place to celebrate a birthday and have fun. It was my first time here and let me say not a good experience. First we wait in line to get stamped in and the girl with a green hoodie that says pink on it was rude. She didn’t smile or say anything just put her hand out for our money. We were there for the drag show and only had about four drinks within the three hours we were there. As well as food. We got waffle fries, pizza and cauliflower wings. As soon as we were done eating my friend thought she needed to get sick so we go to the bathroom and wait for her. She ended up being fine and not getting sick, but a girl with a black binnie on and acne scars on her face waited for her to come out and kicked all of us out for no reason. The big bodyguard or whatever you want to call him was useless and rude. He got three people to come block my other friend who is barley 100 pounds from coming inside to check on me because it was taking a while for me to close my bill. They also tried blocking my wife for no reason. My friend who was feeling sick from the food needed some water and they weren’t helpful with that either. I’ve worked in service and this is just horrible. Obviously it’s a problem here because there are multiple complaints. Something needs to change. Im originally from Arizona and have been to multiple gay bars. This one is by far the worst I’ve ever gone to and overpriced.
My first impressions of this place were mixed, but when we left for an hour to check out The Raven and then come back, my final impression was super negative. They wouldnt let my friend back in, even though we both had stamps. The chick at the door said she kicked him out earlier that night, which couldnt have been true because I was with him the entire night. We arrived together, left together, and came back together. The only time he wasnt with me was when he went to the bathroom to piss. They also couldnt find his jacket that we coat-checked and it was raining outside, which really sucked for him. My friend is black, so maybe she confused him with someone else? I dont know, but Im 100% sure he was never kicked out of their establishment that night. The chick at the door was rude, but her queeny male co-worker was a complete and total douchebag. He was rude AF to both me and my friend, and I stayed calm and collected the entire time. So, his energy towards my friend and I was completely unwarranted and unprofessional. Being nice (or even cordial) to folks when you work in customer service shouldnt be that much of an impossibility for you.I wont be going back there. Drinks are wayyy overpriced, and suuuper weak. $20 for a cocktail thats more knock-off energy drink than alcohol?!?! No thanks. And the drag show was just the host talking a lot and the performers begging for tips. It almost felt like a clothed strip show? And it felt a little degrading to the performers to be honest.
I went to the Friday show for my birthday and had a blast! All the performers were amazing and gorgeous. I wanna give a shout-out to the other staff as well, but especially Jamie who was security/staff! I’ll definitely be coming back.
1st time:Food was very tasty for being a bar/restaurant. You can even order through grub hub. The dance floor and DJ was awesome. The people at the door didnt seem very welcoming to new people. Like myself that didnt know the process of cash only for admission, what the process looked like for tables for the drag showAnd the Drag Show isnt that at all. It is more like impersonation with Karoke. Still a good laugh and fun but NOT your typical drag. It was a good first time event but I wouldnt go out of my way to take others.2nd time: terrible service at bar. Definitely an over rated scene/atmosphere
A re do hang on bar with a wierd vibe you feel hanging in the air when you walk in. Strange clickish crowd with a rude attitude night crew and bartenders to match. The performances are midiocre while fleecing the crowd for money. I get the sense they think they are the only fare in town and can treat you however they like and its apparent. The place needs to finish the cute and chic wall job and get rid of the attitude. Cute and at the same time - a toilet.
TRASH!! GARBAGE!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!Its so sad that this little blip on the map village only has 2 gay bars. Let me tell you why The Raven beats this dump by a very long shot...This place has $20 mocktales, they are super stingy with the alcohol but will not hesitate to overcharge you and they hate on their own community. LGBTQIA+ DOESNT EXIST HERE, EVERYTHING IS CENTERED AROUND THE SELF CENTERED DRAG SCENE!! Thats why they look at you in disgust if you arent dressed in drag. That right there should tell ya its a place thats full of people that hate themselves and project that hate onto their patrons and others!Dont bother going to the weekly drag show. Its literally a tired, repetitive bore!! Just boys wrapped in hotel duvets literally BEGGING for tips on their hands and knees to a song of their choosing 🤣🤣. Quite sad honestly. Its almost like visiting the homeless encampment down the street. They also like to kick people out for no reason. I literally was halfway thru my second beer and just tipped the bartender $20, thats more than the 2 beers I paid for! I have a very high tolerance for alcohol but they insisted and said I was being drunk and belligerent but just keep in mind I went by myself for some drinks, hubby stood home. He wasnt feeling well and nobody in this village has been friendly or inviting toward us anyway since we got here. So how could I be drunk and belligerent if I have nobody to talk to??? I was floored!! Lol When I called them from home to ask why again, they couldnt answer me with a legit reason, just kept passing the phone around. So I gave them a reason to 86 me for good. I cant stand people that hate on everyone else because they hate themselves. All in all, you arent missing anything here. Like at all! Just a sad dumpster fire they call an everyones welcome safe environment. Im surprised they dont choke everytime they say that phrase being that its a TOTAL LIE
I was visiting from another country, my first time in the US and never been to a gay bar before, so wanted to experience both the American culture and LGBTQ+ atmosphere.Didn’t know I need a physical ID, so I had to go all the way back home and come again, but that is probably my bad.Two women at the host station were so rude and mean. Firstly, they didn’t smile at me, then, after I showed them my digital passport, they told me to leave. While I was deciding on what to do, they were rolling their eyes and mumbling and just couldn’t get rid of me.I came back to show them my physical ID and their attitude was just disgusting, which is why I didn’t even go any further the host station. Sorry, but these two women shouldn’t be working in service, because they hate it and it shows.Such an unpleasant experience, will never go to this lame place again. Is it how all gay bars are like in America?
Staff are friendly and food is great!!!shows are entertaining and dancing is fun, good atmosphere! I always feel welcome here and can’t wait to bring more friends
Mad Myrnas is the best, always tons of fun energy here. The Diva Variety shows are a blast. Ive been here many times but just now realized that they have an awesome selection of mocktails and had to try one, the piña nada was so delicious! I love going out but Im a total lightweight so Im really excited they have such fun non-alcoholic options. Also, the french fries are awesome!
I ordered the wrong drink. I quickly looked at the menu for $8 Piña nada. And stupidly asked for a Piña colada. I didn’t realized my mistake until it rang up the price for $15. I tried to explain myself but I was told to leave if I couldn’t pay. I didn’t touch the drink or grab it so it seemed a bit off.My sister previously paid for my drink and food so I wanted to buy the second round.I ordered the wrong thing by mistake and got kicked out for it.
Some friends and I went here for my 21st birthday and I had the best time of my life! Drinks and food were really good! We went to the dance floor after the diva show and had a ball. Cannot wait to return!
Had a great time at the drag show!!! However, I ate some food while I was there and I got sick… I was not the only one in the group I was with… I went to the bathroom because I didn’t feel so well all of a sudden and when I come out of the bathroom I’m getting asked to leave because I just puked… no one talk to me or asked me why I wasn’t feeling well or even talk to me to see if I was intoxicated… they just literally kicked me out… I had had four drinks in a five hour time span… I’ll NEVER go back… The food was overpriced and made me sick!!!
I lovd this place the upgrade after two years is very amazing. I feel safe. The food is amazing and the place is very inclusive my only worry and feeling unsafe is where the toilets are next to the urinals. Im for inclusivity but I dont feels safe with how small the doors are to the toilets next to the urinals. I with they were longer to where only feet are seen. I always feel paranoid someone will look over who is taller than the doors.
Ive been reading the reviews and they are hilarious, one person was a female looking for males... at a gay bar. This bar is amazing, the staff is friendly, and everyone is accepting of anyone. Gay, straight, pan, asexual, trans, it doesnt matter they still love you the same. You just have to be nice and be understanding, when its busy let the staff work and be patient. Im a regular at this bar and try to go every Friday or Saturday night for the dance floor, they always have a good DJ with upbeat and uptodate music.
Great atmosphere, chic decor, great entertainment, and bomb bartenders. Food is great. Try the crab cake . Stay away from the “ shells n cheese. It’s not it. Don’t do it sis… lol but anyways.. the crab cakes are it. They have great music and it’s an awesome place to get lit woth a crowed of all genders. You can be whatever you want and no one will judge.
Super welcoming! My 1st time in AK. Chris was the doorman and gave me the scoop. Friendly, accessible, welcoming, fun drinks and great patio!
Was visiting from Virginia Beach. It’s not really my scene but on slower days when the music isn’t blasting and you can actually talk to people it’s nice. It seems to be a younger crowd... it was a bit annoying when random ppl kept being all grabby. -_- the staff was very nice though. On the busy night we went on, it did take a while for our drinks but that was because the clients were being difficult and rude. The slower night the bartender was pretty quick
$10 cover charge is a little much BUT the drag show makes it worth it. they have a variety of acts for everyone. it was fun and entertaining! it’s a must see. it’s a judgment-free place and one of a kind in anchorage. there’s also a separate room for dancing.
These ladies put on an amazing show. I loved the energy, the music, the attitude, and the skill. Everyone in that room was smiling. If you have seen drag shows before, you should go to Mad Myrnas. If you have never seen a drag show, you definitely should go to Mad Myrnas!
The security guard tonight was terrible. He made me and my friends leave even though we weren’t drunk nor belligerent. We were just dancing together(not stumbling or loud). He also only approached our group once I joined(I’m not white) He made what was supposed to be a safe place very uncomfortable. Will not be coming back.
Amazing place. Very laid back. And the beautiful drag Queens are amazingly talented and make u feel very engaged with the games and karaoke. Love it! They make u feel part of the group and are very friendly.
I came here a couple of days ago and was met by some of the rudest staff I have ever encountered. On top of it all the food and atmosphere were so subpar its truly astounding how people still come here.
The menu is awesome, I always have hard time choosing what I want to eat. The cocktail list is generally too sweet for my liking but the bartenders always make me a great drink.
I ordered food by accident, dont ask, I was going through something and all I saw was Mac N Cheese. Anyways, I ordered and I am so unbelievably happy I did, their food was 10/10 for me and I have no idea why no one told me! Sending much love to that kicka$$ kitchen!! ❤️❤️❤️
Very fun, safe, and welcoming environment. First time at a drag show and club and had a blast!! Only thing is that the music was too loud
An amazing place! Its so fun, safe and inviting! The atmosphere is stunning. The people are wonderful and the events are always a great time.
Let me start by saying I have been in the service industry for 5 years now so I know how to serve guests in any capacity anyway I went to Myrna’s tonight with a group of friends and everything was great at first. We were getting rounds of drinks. I went off and got my own drink (liquid marijuana) which was 9 dollars the bartender charged my card everything was fine. I finished my drink but when I went to get a new drink for the same price I was told “we only do charges of 10 dollars minimum” so politely responded “well that lady just charged my card for 9 dollars” and the response was “well I’m not going to” I even asked if he could add a dollar to the price and it was the same response so I told the bartender I would no longer need that drink and would be done drinking for the night. He then pointed to the front door and said I could exit there. I told my group of friends what happened and to meet me outside and he called security to escort me out. This is the first time I’ve had a bad time at this bar and it’s the last time I’ll ever be going to it.
Mad Myrnas is the absolute worst establishment I have ever been in. Last night was my second time going. I wanted to give it one more chance because it was my friends birthday. The staff is SO rude & standoffish. My friend got called on stage by her friend to sing a duet & the karaoke lady stopped the song to embarrass her about hijacking the microphone when he called her up there & then called all of us ignorant. Meanwhile the bartender poured us shots that one of the members in our group never had so she was looking at the shots & he aggressively & rudely asked what she was looking at & something along the lines of are you gonna stare at me or buy a drink. They are deplorable. Worst place I have ever been.
The place was totally crazy. Loved the food. Loved the drinks. Super loved the staff and the performers. Had a wonderful time. Will definitely return.
This is a great place to go and relax if you want a safe, hassle free environment. Drag night is hilarious and done really well. Im straight but this is my favorite let down my hair spot.
I was there last Saturday because it was my friends birthday and we didnt know you cant not drink around and my friend was just finishing her drink and somebody came very rude and he told us that we cant get in because of her drink and some of the stuff started pushing my friends and yelled us to go away!
Go to the Friday night drag show. You will not be disappointed! High energy performers, well-curated. The drinks are pricey but the entertainment will make up for it.
Love this place. I am a native of Houston and was impressed by the drag show, menu, and service here. Will definitely tell all my friends about it.
This is where you go to enjoy a drink, a night of dancing and nice conversation in a judgement free zone. Make sure you stop by and see some of the shows they perform. And it doesnt matter your orientation you are going to have fun!
The atmosphere at mad Myrnas is amazing! I am sitting in California and just had to right a review! The service was fast, the crowd was sweet and I must say the patio is a great area to socialize!
Oh my goodness I had so much fun and everyone was so nice but not only nice they were just chill af and I loved going here!
My friend was celebrating his 21st birthday at Myrnas until one of their coworkers punched my friend in the face while we were waiting for a ride OUTSIDE just because he was annoyed of him. I thought Myrnas was a safe place that was accepting and tolerating but we were wrong. It was my friends 21st birthday and we thought he could enjoy it in peace being gay at Myrnas but we thought wrong. He had a nose bleed and when we confronted the other workers about it, they shut the door on us while it was so cold outside. Not supporting them for awhile. So disappointed ):Would give them a negative star if I could. I really expected more from this place being gay friendly and all but they attacked one of their own.. ):
The drinks are overpriced, the bouncers are kind of rude. Overall its an OK place for the lbgt community but i would probably not go back.
Parking was just crazy and over priced. Service was rude and acted like they were put out to take our drink orders. Very clickish.
My first time at this type of company and i tell you what they have some beautiful chicks and friendly kind of fellow humans😎🥸 this place rocks! Meerrrrccaaaaa!!
Strait or gay, youll have have a good time. Theres great service and preformances. Service is great and drinks are on point. I recommend seeing the drag show.
Went to Saturday nights show with some friends. Was great had a good time, good and drinks were great. Show was amazing!
Great place and fun, we always miss events though, It would be nice if they had a website that listed special events. Also people are always coming into town asking about the gay night clubs as no info is out there when googled except this vague google card that has limited info and old pictures.
Love the performers and the fun energy here, I had a blast when I went and I would love to go again. They really know how to put on a show!
Super friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere and great dancing! There is usually a cover so come prepared! Worth it.
Too much fun! Fabulous shows and dancing. Excellent food. I was truly amazed how much fun it was!
Felt like i was at a low budget off broadway musical....all the songs sung were depressing....ruined my high for 4/20....the dj has no skills....anybody can spin a record had no crowd control....changed tempo too much...#imissnyc
Like this place. Drinks are little expensive but they are good. Food is on point!!! The portions are way tooooo big for eating when youre trying drink. Imo.
Rowdy and raccous but the atmosphere is fun and the drinks are good! Make sure to bring those singles if u attend drag night!
Best bar in anchorage and best place to dance
This bar was very welcoming and while it was a calm night I got to wander in and have a great experience. The drinks were great and I will definitely go back!
Fun dancing, karoke, and shows! Security and staff make you feel safe as they actually engage and check in with people.
This is a pretty fun place to spend your time on a late Anchorage night. Or midnight twilight, depending on the season. The place gets pretty lively on drag show nights.
Great food! You might have a long, hard, throbbing wait, but there’s a satisfying finish at the end 😙
Since my last reveiw of this bar, the bartenders have become more attentive to the customers. Its one of my favorate places to just hang out and chit chat to a drink or two.
Hells yeah! This place is great. The service has always been great and the food is spectacular
Fun and safe place to enjoy for all. Friday nights are the best as they have the Drag show.
Food is so delicious 😋 and the shows are amazing, Hank is my favorite!
