1st time waxing. Was okay, was thinking about going back until I got charged for a full bikini wax $60, only a partial was done. Theres hairs left all over my legs. Several left in one of my armpits. Told Monica and got a rude response. Not impressed with the unwillingness to make a customer happy.Your response again shows you are unwilling to make a customer happy. I said this was my first time waxing several times and you kept ignoring that. You never explained what a bikini was at the time or that you were giving me an additional service to the services I had requested. Since this was my first time waxing, I also did not know to inspect your waxing work because you said you were OCD about the hair removal. Yes I remember you had tweezers but you missed a ton. Yes it was fairly painless. I would have came back and recommend others, but your response is only to prove yourself correct and not to fix the issues.

Encore is absolutely amazing! Ive had my hair done by Chelsea and she does amazing work, and then I did the whole works for waxing with Rosie and she is absolutely perfect! Made my first time amazing and comfortable! Monica the owner is the sweetest lady! I would absolutely recommend encore for all your esthetic needs.

I had an amazing experience today with Rose. She gave an expert Brazilian wax (that I was really worried about since it had been months since my last wax), and I had a great hydrafacial as well. She was so easy to talk to I ended up with several great recommendations for food, tattoos, and of course skin care! I can’t recommend Rose enough and can’t wait to come back. Thank you!!

Monica is absolutely amazing! I have seen her on two occasions for a Hydrafacial and I cannot recommend her enough. She takes her time and is meticulous, which I greatly appreciate. She explains the process and went over any questions/ concerns that I had. The atmosphere is super inviting from the staff to the suite, very clean and cozy. I have been to other day spas/ estheticians in the Anchorage and Valley area and none of them compare. I will definitely be returning.

I lived in Anchorage for 5 years and discovered Monica about a year into living there. I never had to look anywhere else because she is AMAZING! I had to move out of state, and no one compares to her!! I miss her as both a friend and esthetician, she is a wonderful person and just all around warm and friendly. Go for a hydrafacial, no one compares to Monica. I have very sensitive skin that breaks out easily after waxing, she always did such a fantastic job on my brows and face that I never had bad breakouts. She also did amazing lash and brow tints. I know Monica for about 8 years. Ive tried different Spas and estheticians, even outside of Alaska, but dont go anywhere else after I met her. The results were truly amazing! Already after first session the texture of the skin on my face became smoother and even, pores - smaller. I usually have some facial redness, it went away to my huge surprise, since Monica didn’t really advertise this effect.My goal was to get rid of the sagginess of my chin and cheeks. I tried Ultherapy before without significant results (especially thinking about the cost of it!). Facial microcurrent did it for me!It was unbelievable! Thank you, Monica!!

Rosanna did my eyebrows today with a last minute appointment. She was very efficient, good quality products that did not irritate my skin. Her shaping was perfect and didn’t over pluck/wax.The atmosphere is very pleasant and clean. The staff was friendly and made me feel comfortable. The heated bed was very comfortable.

Hands down....the VERY BEST in Anchorage!!!For the past 3+ years, I see Monica for waxing, facials, products, and advice (she is an expert in her field). Although Monica IS a terrific lady, this is not why I see her exclusively and vouch for her emphatically for the past 3 years. I do this because I know from much experience and shopping around that not all estheticians have comparable skills. This is the only place to go in Anchorage.

Always amazing and gives you more then you expect! Chelsea is my number one and seriously has transformed my hair! Fixed a botched job and has brought health and growth back for my hair! I have previously had extensions put it and they were aweful! Too many out in, color was extremely off, and they barely lasted a couple weeks if that. I finally got the courage to have Chelsea place them and I cant even put into words how amazing they are! Color is on point, I have about 75%less extensions in, and Im going on 5 weeks and they still have yet to feel like they are going to fall out! She seriously knows what she is doing and never disappoints! I am happy I found her and never will let anyone else touch my hair! Monica is amazing as well my skin has never felt better and knows what you need no matter the situation :) I wish I could give more stars because I honestly love them and cant put into words how much I love them and how completely amazing they are at their career ❤️

Monica at Encore Esthetics Has to be the best in Alaska. Waxing, facials of all kinds, superb products, excellent service, I just cant say enough about her and EE. She carries Jane Iredale makeup also, for the same prices youll find online (minus the shipping!). A true professional to brighten your day and take great care of you. Giving 3 stars for cleanliness and because Rose did an awesome job at my first appointment there. Went in for my second appointment at the spa yesterday and not only was ignored by the front desk person but also listened to her openly talking trash about another employee to a customer! I wasn’t even necessarily upset about waiting so long but had to draw the line at talking poorly about other employees. Really disappointing as I was hoping to be a repeat customer here. Will probably not be going back there again.

I’m from Louisiana & was working in Anchorage for a few months . Decided to get a Brazilian wax & chose Encore Esthetics ..I was a lil nervous being my first time getting this service...However, Monica made my first wax experience a breeze . She explained the process , we had great conversation & most of all she made me feel relaxed & at home !!!

This place is amazing! I am currently doing the Body Presso Drainage with microcurrent toning and I am amazed with the results. I started on my waist with size 32 and now Im a size 29 and I havent finished with the treatments yet!!!! I will definitely recommend this place. Besides the results I am very please with Monicas customer service. She is very knowledgeable, professional and friendly.

After having my lashes damaged at another salon, Chelsea saved the day! She was honest and made decisions that were best for my lashes, and didnt try to take advantage. She listened to what I wanted and delivered perfectly. My lashes are now exactly how I wanted them for my wedding day. If youre looking for lash extensions, this is the best place to go in Anchorage!

Monica is THE greatest! She saved my skin, I have dealt with severe acne rosacea for years, I now rarely have any breakouts, I can go without wearing makeup anywhere now and not feel self-conscious, she literally changed my life!

Monica is very professional, the space is clean and private, and she has 17 years of experience as an esthetician. I was able to book my appointment same-day, which I was surprised about. There are coffee and tea available, which is really great. I went there for the second wax of my lifetime, and there were some deficiencies in determining whether I had been for a wax before, as I hadnt had one in several months, and I was a bit uncertain with procedure prior to the start. She did teach me about what she considers safe and unsafe with regards to waxing positions, and gave good reasons behind it. The only reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars is she did get a little distracted with conversation and I had an unexpected start to a wax pull, so I spent a few seconds trying to exhale a breath I didnt have, but she is just *that* friendly that it is hard to not engage in conversation! I said maybe I should have a consultation for the HydraFacial as a continuation of conversation, she discussed how it worked but was absolutely not trying to upsell. Even with that, I was in and out in 20-25 minutes, tops. Overall, great experience, and I will be returning.

Great environment but she definitely overcharged me. I did a glyco-peel for $45 and I got a repechage mask and rapidex exfoliate and I was charged $227 for them. Thats the price for the whole line!!! Ridiculous,never again. Be warned!

I flew to alaska last month to see Monica.. she did a hydrofacial on my face neck and back.. I have had allergy problems making my skin break out.. it causes me to scratch myself to the point of bleeding.. my first thought when we finished was holy cow my face is glowing.. I havent seen my face look that good in more than 10 years.. since seeing Monica I havent had the itching on my face chest or back.. I havent scratched myself at all much less to the point of bleeding.. my skin still looks great and it feels amazing.. if you suffer from skin allergies or late 30s skin.. call Monica.. I promise its worth the time and the money.. nothing can match the feeling of good skin.. no price is too much for feeling young and beautiful.
