Crazy Craigs Cheeky Monkey Bar

Perfect intersection of qualities of both a dive bar and 5 star restaurant. Cheap beer, pool, and not too bright like a dive bar. Exceptional service and food standard like a fine dining establishment. They smoke their own meat on an ole stick burner right and front and your drinks won’t get more than half empty. I will definitely be back next time I’m in Branson. Children are welcome and pool is free until 4 PM. You’d be a fool not to stop in on your next Brandon getaway.

I feel like I lost at least 30 days of my life by visiting this establishment. It was filled with smoke (smoking allowed) but one of the only places to grab a late night bite. Food was very mediocre and extremely limited for a bar menu.Service was decent, the best server we had was named Mya, I think. She was extra sweet--but food and environment outside of that was horrid.

We stopped in for a light lunch and ended up splitting the brisket nachos. They were good and perfect for two people. We asked about draft beer, and they only had bottled beer, so we had water instead. The servers were very nice.

Live music on the weekends. Sports on multiple TVs. The burgers are excellent. Drinks are inventive. Theres even a mystery drink (bartenders discretion). Theres a pool table. The story behind the bars name should be made into a movie. This establishment honors veterans. The walls are signed. The bartenders are excellent. The wait staff are very attentive. They frequently stopped by the table to check up.

THE TIME THE LIGHTS WENT OUT AT THE CHEEKY MONKEY: My wife and I were on vacation recently and were attracted to sight of BBQ Cooking on Premises and walked into the Cheeky Monkey. Just after we placed our order the whole place lost (no fault of theirs!) power in the middle of the day! We managed to survive the next 20 minutes in the semi-darkness on Monkey Fuel and free chips graciously provided to us by a very congenial wait staff. Since our BBQ sandwich orders could not be processed, they gave us what they had: 1 1/2 slabs of absolutely gorgeous BBQ Ribs! My wife and I did not come up for air for 15 minutes as we devoured these delicious ribs! I told them they needed to enter these ribs into a contest because theyd likely win. Finally, the power came back on, and they then told us that we didnt owe them anything because they were so sorry for the inconvenience of the power loss. We left enough to cover the meal as it would be a sin otherwise!You should go to the Cheeky Monkey! I cant guarantee the lights will go out or everything will be free, but you will have great service and absolutely stunning BBQ ribs! God bless the wonderful ladies at the Cheeky Monkey. Wife and I stopped in and greeted with smiles. The BBQ was actually being smoked outside. The only drawback was they still allowed smoking inside. Wasnt to crowded when we stopped in but if there was a lot of people I wouldnt go in because of the smoking.

Rib tips were diced like little peices of ham for a salad, not worth the money, and the pizza was cheaply made. I asked for 1 drink, and I received a whole different one

The Cheeky Monkey Bar in Branson made our quick trip truly unforgettable! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with open arms by both the staff and patrons. We were greeted with a shot of their signature drink, which set the tone for a fun evening. RusStache immediately recognized we were newlyweds and treated us like royalty, even giving us another free (HUGE!!) drink and announcing our honeymoon to the entire restaurant. The warm applause and cheers from everyone made us feel incredibly special.To top it off, another generous customer paid for our dinner, which left us speechless. My husband, had the honor of signing the veterans wall, adding a personal touch to our visit. The staff and other guests constantly stopped by to congratulate us and chat, making us feel like part of a big, happy family. When they found out were from Nebraska, they placed a Cornhusker statue on our table, adding a delightful personal touch to our experience.We also enjoyed learning about the owners history and wow, what a story!! We were sure to get some merch so we can continue to share the place and experience with others.If youre looking for a place with amazing hospitality and a fun, welcoming atmosphere, the Cheeky Monkey Bar is the place to be. We will cherish these memories forever and cant wait to return and bring friends and family!

Cheeky Monkey is incredibly welcoming to veterans. After serving 22 years and completing 6 combat tours, I was honored to be invited to write on their Wall of Honor. Our server, Russtache, was exceptionally observant, noticing my memorial band and making our dining experience delightful. The entire staff was friendly and attentive.The BBQ at Cheeky Monkey is top-tier. We enjoyed the half ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and sausage with four sides—perfect for four people after a day at Silver Dollar City. The portions were generous, and the flavors were outstanding. We will definitely be back before our vacation ends.

This place is so fun! All the staff greet you upon entry. They are all friendly and make sure you don’t have an empty drinks. The drinks are delicious! Highly recommend the bartender’s choice shots! One of the staff named Russ, has a rockin’ mustache and we got pics with him!

Russ-stash! By far one of the few and best waiters who knows how to provide excellent customer service! We came here with a baseball team and families with about 30+ people. He kept everything straight and on point. Made us laugh and got our orders in ASAP! What an amazingly cheeky experience. He was great. Food was good and the atmosphere was wonderful. Oh and the drinks… amazing! What better place to go for drinks. Thank you for this wonderful experience, always your Newest Colorado friends!

Had dinner here on the Fourth of July and it was incredible!! Our lovely waitress, Kim, was very inviting and helpful. Everyone seemed like they genuinely enjoyed working there. I had the pulled pork nachos, and they were amazing - everything was fresh, hot, and flavorful! Also looooved the creative, fruity drinks (I had the voodoo rum bucket 10/10) and good music. I will definitely go there again before I leave!!!

First time coming here. SJ and Raina were our servers. Very fun and friendly. Drinks were delicious and food was tasty.

We had a great time at Crazy Craigs! The service is wonderful... those people seemed like they didnt hate their jobs!The food was great, we had a platter of nachos that was huge and tasty.One thing, we came in and the only seat said Reserved for Crazy Craig. The waitress said we could sit there. About 2 hours, a large, elderly guy came in, it was Crazy Craig. He basically grunted at the waiter to get my husband out of his seat! We ended up sitting at the end of the same table so it was no big deal. He was creepy though! He sat and glared the whole night. I thought it was creepy to see him perk up and hug the young waitresses!I was thinking maybe rename it Creepy Craigs?

This is our favorite spot in Branson. The food is always on point and the staff is fantastic. Just returned home from a weekend of golf and enjoyed the St. Patrick’s festivities at The Cheeky Monkey. Loren, Hilary, Jon, Russ and the rest of the crew were the BeesKnees!! Cannot wait to return!

We visited two of the crazy Craig’s bars and they both are pretty cool. Super friendly service. Clean restrooms. Chilling atmosphere. Plenty of tv screens. Pool tables. These places are fully loaded with everything you need to have a great time with friends. Brisket is one of the best I had tried! Baked beans sooo good! The only downside on this one is if you’re not a smoker you could be in trouble, cigarette smoke is pretty dense. Maybe adding an air purifier or extractor could help to make every visit more enjoyable.

What a great place! We were greeted by the whole bar as soon as we walked in and it only got better from there. Russ-tache (you will understand when you go) took care of us while there but I’m pretty sure every member of the staff stopped by to say hi and make sure we had everything we needed. Cheeky Monkey is a must-go when in the area or worth the drive if youre not. The drink options will truly let you know you are on vacation! Great experience and we can’t wait to return!

This place freaking rules. Came here from St. Louis and met people from my town, this town, and all over. This is where you go if you wanna party w the real ones and not just tourists at bars that close at 11. Killer service. Killer food. Killer drinks. This place alone makes me want to come back more frequently. Also Sydney rocks and you should top her a ton 10/10

My husband and I stopped in a few days ago. They started us out with sample of something called Monkey Fuel. Ive never been to a bar that gives you a sample of a drink! It was delicious and we both ordered one. We had heard about the BBQ, (and with smokers right outside the door) we had to try it! I had these crazy good brisket nachos. My husband had the brisket sandwich and baked beans. Both entrees were wonderful. The service was on point and the entire staff takes care of you! We cant wait to go back tonight to hear their band!

Greeted with a welcome and a shot as we entered! Ordered the Bartenders Choice, which was delicious and comes in a take home cup. The smoked pulled pork nachos were a game changer! Plenty for 2 people to share. Great place to watch football, shoot pool, and listen to classic rock!

Absolutely amazing as always! We discovered this place a few years back, and always recommend it. The workers and owners are the best people. And the food is FANTASTIC! The brisket quesadilla is my favorite. I also have a little one with severe food allergies. And they were so good about it. Never felt so safe down here with her at a restaurant. It’s also a super fun atmosphere!! 10/10 recommend!!

Very fun atmosphere. Kids welcome until 10 pm (according to the sign). Free sample of a cocktail for adults as you walk in, ours was Monkey Fuel. The cocktail list was a lot of fun. The ribs were some of the best I’ve ever had. The cheese steak sub and brisket/pulled pork nachos were also a hit. I wish I was a local so I could come back.

This is one of the best BBQs Ive ever had. Ribs are amazing, service is impeccable! The mustache guy and Cindy are amazing servers! The atmosphere is great, the burgers are delicious, and the bathrooms are clean. No complaints. Hands down one of the best places Ive been to.

Fun, chill place. Kat took excellent care of us. All servers checked on us frequently which was very nice. The food was awesome- they have the BBQ pits going all day (we got to go food the say after hanging at the bar)!

Pam was an awesome waitress! Our nachos were not really warm though. I waited forever to do my Keno ticket. Then finally Mary Bell runs it and says it’s invalid and throws it back to me. When I redid my ticket and told her I was ready, she basically says (sort of rudely), I will get to you when I can. Drinks come first!

As tourists, we ate here on 5-31-24 with friends that had been here before. We had the $52.99 ribs+brisket+sausage+pulled pork with 4 sides. This bbq was absolutely fabulous! We ate like hungry piggies! The service was great. I think every one of them came to the table to take our orders. Totally recommend!

Cheeky Monkey was our favorite spot on our first trip to Branson. Our server Kim was amazing (and even remembered our names when some of our party returned the next day)! The brisket was some of the best we’ve ever had, the drinks were great, and everything is very reasonably priced. We will definitely be coming back!

We were visiting Branson and asked two local young men if XYZ had good BBQ. They shared a look, and both exclaimed, Cheeky Monkey! Never heard of it, and it not listed on any town guide wed read. Huh. OMG!1st. Every server is your server. We were approached no less than a dozen times if we needed anything. They share tips, and everyone earned it. Why dont other establishments do this? 6 stars?2nd. Food was amazing! I dont usually rate BBQ establishments, but this hidden nugget was yummy! Beware, the portions are large.3rd. This place is a local dive bar that isnt a dive bar at all. You will drive right by it if you are looking for a polished exterior. The smokers for the meat are in front of the front door. What? Who does that? BUT... IT WORKS! Its like showing up to your neighbor Jebs place or a family barbecue after a long day at work. The staff is welcoming, like Ive never experienced in any other bar.Lastly, my experience. We walked in and a random server handed us shot glasses of a tea drink. No we didnt order it first. It was a sample. We immediately felt welcome. My girlfriends and I ordered two meals to share and left with enough leftovers for two more meals.Im a baked bean snob, and I polished off two servings and damn near licked the bowl clean. Yum!Id give this place 10 stars 🌟 if they had a scale that high. You wont be disappointed!

I didnt know it was a bar when I was just looking for a place for me and my girlfriend to eat but we went on in and they were the friendliest group of folks one could ask for. Theyre great at their job and we had a blast. love this spot. Well be back next year when we visit branson again

Fantastic place wonderful atmosphere. The service is amazing. We came in. On a hot afternoon, and my wife was overheating. They got her some pickle juice and made sure. Everything was OK. These people are wonderful.

We only had drinks but the food looked and smelled phenomenal! The drinks were good and reasonably priced. Seemed like a very fun atmosphere to just chill for the evening.EDIT: we had the food on our second visit and it was great! The ribs were phenomenal!

This was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. We walked in as a huge group (our entire baseball family - probably 50+) and they immediately had us on hand, greeting us warmly with no fear (also important!), telling us about the menu and the best ways in which we could order and most importantly making us feel welcome and telling us they would take care of us. They became part of our crew, took care of us for the several hours we were there, and didn’t miss a beat on a thing. The food was amazing, the vibe was amazing…a great afternoon at an amazing place in Branson! If you find yourself in Branson, go to the cheeky monkey! Staff are friendly, and provided great service. They give you a taster of their drink of the day, and the drinks are yummy! Love the appreciation they have for our military! So glad we dropped in!

Mother, Aunt Donna, Sister Susan & I were in Branson for three days & decided to check you guys out. We had so much fun. Greeted as soon as we walked in the door. That was awesome. Super good food and cocktails were fun! Anyone who is looking for a place to eat, Go Try Enjoy & Be Happy!

We had such a great time. The entire staff was amazing and accommodating when we had our entire baseball team and families (50) come in. They handled us all professionally and courteously!

Don’t be fooled by all the 5 stars. Please be mindful that this is not my first Google review but it is my first 1 star review. We came here because we saw tons of 5 stars. Immediately upon being seated, we were greeted by a friendly waitress who brought us some good tasting house green drinks. Immediately after that, she took our order. She literally ignored us the rest of the time. I am not exaggerating when I say she ignored us. We needed a water refill. We literally called her as my cousin vigorously waved his hand as she stood 3 feet away from us. There was no way she couldn’t see us. The nice couple she was beginning to help on the table adjacent to ours kindly told her we needed something, (they knew we had been attempting to get her attention for quite some time). She wasn’t rude, she was simply not attentive to the needs of the customers. We felt ignored. I haven’t reviewed the food yet! Again, I have eaten at and review countless places. Rest assured, the food looks amazing in the pictures. We did get large serving sizes. That’s a plus. But, my chicken in my nachos and my quesadilla tasted like old reheated chicken breast. I gave them a 1 because their Mac and cheese side was good.

Had a great time and great food. Fair prices and friendly staff members.They have a pool tournament on select nights.Crazy Craig will play in it and show you some of his trick shots.He might even play ya game or two. The MOST fun I have had at a bar in a LONG time! Traveled down to Branson for family vacation when we found this bar. We visited this bar almost twice a day for four days! Russ was an absolute BLAST, Kesha in the kitchen? Incredible. Food was 👌🏼👌🏼 visit this incredible bar — once, twice, every day you won’t regret it!!!

Love the atmosphere and the decor of the bar. It had two stories with the bar upstairs as well and a walkout patio. The music was very festive and people seemed like they were having a good time... and that was crazy Craigs treehouse but we also did go to The Cheeky Monkey Bar where they had a live band playing that night and they were awesome so I do recommend any of crazy Craigs bars the wait staff was great the drinks were great and the atmosphere was awesome we will definitely be back to both bars when we are in Branson again!

A fantastic and fun place to stop after a day on the lake or in Branson. A cheery welcome and shot of the day on the house when you arrive. The brisket nachos were fantastic and the kids had a great time too. It’s great to find a local place that isn’t a tourist trap like most of Branson. Will be back next time we are in town!

The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Our waiter was Russ but that didnt matter because everyone checked in on us which was amazing. Definitely dont see that anymore these days! The food was super good and the atmosphere nice and relaxing. :) Russs beard is also on point

So I would honestly say this place gets a 4.5, but Im going to err close to 5.Flexibility- This bar/restaurant has food serving until 12:30! Anyone looking for a late night bite and a taste for BBQ, this is it!Service- It was great! Amanda was awesome and took care of us when we sat ourselves. We were also greeted with a shot that was absolutely delicious. I believe it was the Jackd up Monkey. Only thing, I wish the shot had been chilled. Besides Amanda, the whole staff comes around and makes sure youre doing great, which is amazing to see!Food- I ordered some nachos to start, and a cheese burger later. I will say if you are a nachos lover, the brisket nachos are a must! The burger though, seemed to have been over done or waited for the other food, because it was dry. My wife ordered a brisket sandwich and she loved it. She is very particular about fatty brisket and this was pretty much all lean. So I think BBQ would be the way to go!Atmosphere- Was great! It gave you that dive feel. Everyone was friendly and seemed to have a great time. Keep in mind it is a bar atmosphere, for those not wanting that, you can eat outside.Cant wait to get back here when I come back in town!

This is the go to place in Branson! From the moment you walk in, you can tell theres something special about it. The team cares to get to know you by name, and the drink and food menus are totally fire! The hot fall off the bone ribs alone are worth the stop! There is awesome entertainment, pool tables, an incredibly friendly team, and what is likely the best ribs in Branson. Do yourself a favor, and visit this place!

Great place with awesome staff. Certainly a great place to stop and have a drink, some food and play some pool. Last night when we went they had a band and I cannot say enough the staff is awesome.

We’re from Chicagoland and we must stop by cheeky every time we’re in town. Russ gave us a warm welcome and was an excellent server. We come here for the BBQ and unique cocktails and craft beer. Russ even introduced us to the one and only Keshia who is the smoke master. We will be back!

I came there like I always do me and my boyfriend and I didn’t get service due to that fact my boyfriend didn’t have his id on him and we are regulars the problem was the the lady behind the bar keep shouting at me and I had my id so I ask her if I was the one can’t get service due to the fact my boyfriend didn’t have his id we where ok with the fact he was not getting any service he was going to wait in the car for me but the lady was so rude that I left also. Should really think twice about the bar tenders that u hire it’s really messed up I drove from far dressed up and everything I’ve even tipped people there big so many times I won’t ever go back

We were in town for a baseball tournament and wanted to find the best BBQ joints around Branson. I can confidently say this was the best one we had during our week stay. Jahosephat(Russ) was an absolute blast and handled our party of what seemed like 30 without a miss. If were ever back in the area Cheeky Monkey will definitely be on the list of places to eat!

After an 8 hour drive in from Nebraska, we stumbled upon this place pretty much on accident since it was the only option for food near us open late at night. It turned out to be a great find and we ended up coming back the next night for food again. John (like the toilet) was a great bartender and Im glad we had him both nights.

Absolutely incredible bbq!!! The brisket is soooo tender and flavorful!! The baked beans and potato salad are both delicious for sides. Great customer service and fun atmosphere. Definately a place worth trying out

I highly recommend this bar. The cheeky shots are delicious and the service is top notch. We even picked up a couple of cute T-shirts. They have a couple of pool tables and music. When we come back to Branson this will be one of the first places I go back to.

What a fun place!! We had more fun watching folks walk in and react to the hollered greeting by the staff! The smiles and look around was exactly like ours!!Of course we were immediately greeted, then sat and were greeted again! Every interaction with the staff was super friendly and again, just plain fun! They all took the time to chat, get to know us and allowed us to get to know them!The food and drinks are amazing! Everything with a monkey in the title must be tried!! The rib tips and spicy monkey dip are my most highly recommended menu items and the Grape Ape was my favorite drink. I dont think you can go wrong with anything though!

I don’t know a single person who doesn’t LOVE Cheeky Monkey, one of the longest bars standing in Branson not only do they offer outstanding service but excellent drinks and meats smoked daily! If you’re looking for a good drink, great people, and awesome food this place is the epitome of that! Never skip a Crazy Craig’s in Branson!

I go here every time I go to Branson. Cool drinks to try out, and they have regular drinks also. I still need to try the food sometime. Live music and attentive staff, make sure you check this spot out!

What a fun place to visit! They bring you a sample shot immediately upon sitting,🍻 and have free pool until 6pm. 🎱 They have a variety of fun, and tasty drinks to try. 🍹The menu is limited. I assume that is because they keep it to quickly prepared food due to the volume of visitors they receive. We enjoyed our appetizers we shared and my son liked his burger. They dont have frys but they do have Cheetos 😉 Our waiter was fun, friendly, and attentive. I thought it was weird that you have to give them a card or cash to hold upon ordering but it is a bar atmosphere.

UPDATE: 10-28-2021Came back here again while on vacation, and I have to say we have had $100 meals on vacation, and this has been the cheapest and BEST meal we have had!! They never disappoint. The service is also great! We had the pork nachos and pork quesedillias. I had the pulled pork and cheese quesodillas. My boyfriend had the loaded nachos. IT WAS AWESOME!!They have a very limited food menu. Im not a big quesodilla person, because I dont care for all that wrap it comes in, and my boyfriend isnt big on chips and salsa or nachos.... boy, were we ever surprised!!! My food was so good that I took my leftovers back to where we were staying and snacked on it later (and im one of those picky people who wont eat leftovers...I ate those!!) My boyfriends plate was so piled high with the nachos, it was full. Like I said, hes not big on nachos, but he ate his entire plate of them...except one. He offered me one. Just one. It was good!This place will definitely be included in every single one of our vacations back to Branson.The atmosphere is very laid back. Not really touristy...its local people, at their local bar/hangout. They are so nice, talk to you like they know you. We were sitting by the pool tables, and they had some really good people playing, so it was entertaining. The prices are cheap, and it was an overall great experience, and in the top 2 of places we ate at during our week vacation, and about 70% cheaper.Cant wait to go back!

The atmosphere of this bar was absolutely amazing. As out of towners we choose amazingly to end our St. Patty’s day celebration! We had chips and salsa/queso and then the BBQ quesadilla which was all extremely delicious. Our waitress/bartender was super friendly and nice! Would definitely go back here on our next Branson trip!

Great food, amazing service and a free shot as soon as you walk in. Love this place. It was grandfathered into allowing smoking inside but they will be a no smoking inside May 15th. I believe they will have a special smoke area moving forward. If you want to support a fun locally owned spot with great food in Branson, this is it.

WOW, the rack of ribs and sauce are absolutely delicious, amazing and delicious. The customer service is impeccable. They are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They respect the military. We highly recommend the Cheeky Monkey on your to- do-list.

A few different points to make with my stop here,Super personable server that made sure our food was great and that we tried everything, super attentive, and friendly. (Rus)As for the meats, go with the RIBS.. they literally fall off the bone AND SUPER JUICY. The pulled pork was way too salty and the brisket was over cooked and sliced super thin in order to combat the dry meat.If you’re staying for music the DJ was recklessly good and should be playing in NYC so listen while he is still in Branson.And too the locals.. back off the pool table and let everyone enjoy the games too.. they aggressively made sure if you were not from there you were not playing pool. Something the management should make sure is not happening.Overall good experience, would go back.

Absolutely impeccable custom service. My side was a pasta salad, absolutely delicious.. the chicken BLT should be thinly sliced chicken, the rest was awesome.

Keisha and The RUSSTACHE were absolutely amazing. We bought a bottle of their homebrewed vodka, ate an incredible smoked bbq plate with sausage, ribs, brisket and pork—Keisha was the pittmaster and I tell ya—authentic Missouri smoked bbq—was fantastic. We make this stop every year for a reason and it’s not only the food that brings us back—it’s the people, the Russ, the cheeky monkey hospitality that makes this place so special for us ❤️. We had a great time and whenever we are in the area will continue to come. Still laugh about the hollering “Welcome to the Cheeky Monkey Bar!” Whenever we have ribs we still say, “it ain’t monkey material”. Already miss it.

I came In town to work a concert at thunder ridge amphitheater. Kat and Mikayla were incredibly personable and made us feel welcome the week we were here. Recommend going to cheeky monkey just for them.

Service here is unparalleled to any bar I’ve ever been to. Was greeted at the door with complimentary shots. They do need some sound deadeners to make the loud live music sound good, the sound bounces off all the walls and just isn’t great. Lively and fun bar nonetheless!

I’ve had great service here and terrible service. The food is good, drinks are good, and there’s lots to do. Good little bar. No longer allows smoking which sucked for me, but not a huge deal - just a note for others to be aware of!

Went the other day for some lunch and a beer....Kim the server was great. But the brisket sandwich was very dry ,over cooked and not fresh tasting. I ordered a bottle of mich ultra and had the very small sandwich and a bag of chips. With tip it was 25 bucks ...to expensive and not good quality. Theres much better options

Came to Cheeky Monkey as it was close to our hotel. First night was a blur of amazing time and music. Second night was trying the food. Brisket, pulled pork, and smoked sausage with potato salad and Cole slaw was amazing. Could not stop eating it. Back for the third night to close out the weekend with drinks and a DJ. Russtache, Lolo and Hilary where AMAZING each night and made us feel like locals. Will definitely be coming back the next time we are in town.

I came here a couple years ago and left a review before but for some reason, I no longer see my review so Im posting another in hopes it will reach the people that it needs to reach.First and foremost, my friend and I went on Taco Tuesday night...their tacos were AMAZING! Probably some of the best tacos Ive ever had. We were greeted immediately at the door with house drinks that were really good as well! The food and service that we had were EXCEPTIONAL.What was NOT exceptional is the owners son (I know he was the owners son because he loved bragging about it) and the long-haired Asian bar tender (who was not working that night, but there to hang out) You see, the owners son was immediately interested in my friend, and got the Asian bar tender to buy me drinks all night to get me drunk enough so dude could score with my friend. Im not the girl to turn down free drinks and didnt realize what the plan was at that time.They got me and my friend drunk and offered to take us home. The asian guy took me back to our hotel, and the owners son took my friend back to our hotel (we rode in separate vehicles). When we got there, the asian guy pulled me on the bed and started making out with trying to undo my pants and I wouldnt let him. Soon after my friend and the owners son showed up at the hotel, I told them both that they needed to leave. The asian guy left right away when he saw he wasnt getting laid and he wasted his time. However, the owners son literally argued with me and looked smug when I told him to leave.But your friend wants me to stay. This is my hotel so Im telling you to leave But its her hotel too and she said I could stay I dont care what my friend told you in the car on the way here, this hotel is in MY name and Im telling you to leave NOW. He hesitantly left after a hotel neighbor started banging on the wall telling us all to shut up.I will never go back because of this experience. I feel like me and my friend could have been taken advantage of and the entire situation got dangerous. I havent even been back to Branson since.*****EDIT IN REPLY OF OWNERS COMMENT*****I dont understand how you can say this isnt the behavior of this bar when not only ONE employee participated but TWO did, one even being the owners son. I dont know how many people own the restaurant and I was obviously drunk and dont remember names, but Im almost certain they know who Im talking about. Tall skinny scruffy looking dude who talks way too fast, way too much, and brags about himself being the son of a bar owner. The other guy is the only long-haired Japanese guy in the bar so how can it be said that this is not the representation of the bar when these two employees literally tried to drunk lay me and my friend. I literally have PTSD from this experience as Ive never had this experience anywhere in my life where I literally had to argue with someone to leave, or being forced on a bed and too drunk to not fall down on the bed, being made out with without consent because he knew how drunk he got me and even tried to get me to take off my pants in my drunk state. How can you say that in good faith??? Literally how?The website given to contact someone about this didnt work. When I enter the address into my browser address bar goes straight to a bing search result. I tried calling the number provided and it just kept ringing and ringing and ringing. Maybe I called at a bad time? I dont know. What is a good time to call?

Found this place right before vacation. Been to Branson a lot and this was the first year we went. Needless too say been there 3 days in a row! Great people, great food and the atmosphere is right up my wifes alley! Shes had the nickname monkey for a long time so of course this place was something she has enjoyed going too. All the food we tried was good! The mixed drinks my wife enjoyed a lot! Thanks to Jesse, J, Chaz, Shawn, Nikki (hope thats the right spelling), and everyone else there for an awesome time.

The last time I was there, I got a glass of water because I didnt know what I wanted to eat. I usually order the same thing I always get which is a bbq pulled pork sandwich but I wanted to try something different. So it took me a while to think about what I wanted. The two newest girls there, one of them was older with pig tails and glass and one was younger and darker skin (Im not racist by any means either) ignored our table the whole time my friends and I were there. I had to stop the younger girl just to get my water refilled even though both the new workers looked at my glass ad saw that it needed to be refilled and just kept on walking. I had to stop the cook, even though I am dating him, to ask him what all was on the steak wrap so that I could order some food and Jesse told him that I was being a distraction when that was the first time that I ever talked to him that night. Then his Jesses father left, the young new girl went to the table beside us and put her leg in between this guys leg and just stood there talking to her man and did nothing for over 30 minutes while my friends and I ate. Not only can I sue for the lack of judgement from Jesse but I could have them shut down for how they run things and the poor service that they show to their customers. Asking a simple question to someone is not a crime. I will make sure that everyone that I know will know about this and how wrong you are for what you did for me asking Billy a simple question about what is on a food item since I have never ordered it before and wanted to make sure i wasnt allergic to anything on that item that I would have been able to sue you guys over if anything did happen.

I’m so sorry to say that after literally craving the Nachos at Cheeky Monkey since 2018, We were so disappointed. I don’t know what was different but the delicious nachos we had before are not what we got this time. The meat was at first non existent, after ordering an extra portion of brisket for $9 we couldn’t even eat the nachos. The bartender was as sweet as she could be but my husband and I are Chefs from New Orleans and there is NO WAY that meat was brisket smoked on the grill. It was like cat food. I went outside and vomited.It was a huge plate of cold nacho chips, covered in way too much sauce. (Ranch??)Tons of lettuce and tomato and we couldn’t find any meat. When we did find some meat it tasted strange, like sliced deli roast beef heated up in a microwave then we even tried by ordering a side of “brisket” it was disgusting. 🤷‍♀️They swear it was off the grill but I disagree. I wish I had taken a picture of the “boiled or microwaves meat”We won’t return. So sadNOTICE THIER RESPONSEWELL I DID EMAIL THEM AND THEY NEVER RESPONDED. It’s nachos, not a salad.

We stopped in for St Patricks Day and stayed into the evening. My first time to the Cheeky Monkey. Russ, Hilary and everybody else were wonderful hosts (Thanks for the T-Shirts!). The vibe was great, lots of good energy and happy folks. Full spectrum of age ranges. We got the Reubin sandwiches, and THEY ARE AMAZING! That sandwich is in top 2 or 3 of the hundreds of Reubins Ive had. The smoky flavor and yummy kraut are divine! Will definitely be coming back for more!! Thank you for a great time!

Great dive with AWESOME food. If you can handle the smoke, this place is definitely worth going! Free sample drinks when you walk in, addressed by your first name, and wonderful attitudes here. They have pool tables and tvs to watch sports and family friendly before 10pm!

Definitely our type of bar. Love Dive Bars minus the smoking inside. Only reason it gets a 4 and not a 5 star from me. When we walked in, we were greeted with a tasty shot, there was a live band that was Rockin the house. The staff was lively, very friendly and tentative to everyone!! Shout out to Ryan and Jon, you guys are awesome !! It was a good Saturday night!! We will go back and maybe try the food next and take a few more pictures !

Great hidden gem. Love the outside of the building...with the 2 big smokers going. Smells yummy. Going inside just made my day...the placed looked amazing but collective same time. The servers greeted us right as we came in. Even gave us a shot of the drink of the day. Try the curious monkey drink. The ribs and sausage is off the hook. You taste the smoked apple wood and you dont need sauce the taste is insane. Its a place to come when visiting. Coming back again Tuesday for sure. Thanks Chuck and Kim for everything.

What a fun little bar! Stopped in on our vacation for drinks. We had one of their signature Cheeky Monkey drinks. Very good! The bartenders were all awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Fast service. The minute you get out of your car, you can smell the amazing aroma of bbq coming from the smoker out front. They also sell Cheeky Monkey merch with a large selection of shirts. There are also pool tables, bar games and a wall for military veterans to sign. Highly recommend!

It doesnt get any more American than this. Very laid back bar, waiter and bar tender were super nice and friendly. Its not pricy at all. Decor is amazing, super fun. Music is loud and theres a DJ playing rock n roll hits so Im sure when its more crowded people dance. Last but definitely not least, pulled pork and bristek are amazing, they take the smoked thing to a next level.

As soon as you get to the place you feel like it might be a joke of a place but trust me when I say its an amazing place to hang out. You get greeted with a shot of what they call Monkey Fuel. The food is amazing. My recommendation would be the rib tips and the coleslaw. Its made with agave nectar as the dressing. One of the best places in Branson.

We came down to branson last year over Thanksgiving and stumbled into the monkey looking for a quick late night snack, we went back 3 times that week we loved the place so much, specifically because it felt like you got to hang out with the Spirit of Branson itself and not some other tourists. Most patrons are regulars and live around the area so they are ripe with the best inside-information if you ask politely. Everyone is polite and respectful, the bartenders & servers are ALWAYS on top of making sure you have a good drink and a good time. The BBQ is on-par with just about anything else Ive had in branson, great ribs, sausage, and pizza. Im always excited to try out a different drink on the menu as theyve all been amazing. Definitely our favorite spot in branson to hang out after a long day in the mountains and shoot some pool with the locals

My coworker and I discovered this place by accident while in town for work driving around. We were a little hungry and stopped in to check it out. The food was good. The service was ok. We arent used to smoking being allowed in eating areas, so we didnt like that, but it is a bar. No one was really responsible for our table so it took a while to order, get served and get our check.

Very much a local dive bar. Very friendly when you first walk in, especially the gentleman behind the bar, but the 2 female bartenders seemed to be overwhelmed and not very friendly. They do allow smoking inside the bar, not a huge deal to us but could certainly be a deal breaker for some.

The reviews on this spot were great, but I would say that my personal experience exceeds even the love they gave it in reviews, Id give th 6 stars (or more if I could). Smokey!! For me, it ruined it. Would have given it 2 stars. But the atmosphere, drinks, and food were worthy of 4+. We had to leave when 3 people lit up at the same time across from us. We did get a complimentary drink when we got there, which was a nice touch.

The food was great. Ladies room smelled like pee. Waitress was wonderful. It is more of a hole in the wall bar. If my food wasnt so good, I wouldnt go back unless it was a night to get drunk but I would have to try that out first, we went early evening, on a week day.

There is 2 steps to get into the place, the prices are very resonable!! All I can say is get there early if you want seating😁.. They do fill up quick!! We had a great time Thursday afternoon. After running around all morning we needed a couple beers and we sure found the perfect place! The two servers, Kim and Chuck, took care of my wife and I with plenty of ice cold beer. When we decided it was time to eat Kim recommended the BBQ so we ordered the beef tips and the sausage with beans and potato salad. Everything was so delicious! We have found our new favorite restaurant/bar in Branson!

Kim was outstanding. We had brisket quesadillas. Very flavorful. We will definitely be back to all of their locations. You dont have to be crazy to go here, but we are a little off center. Great time! We just chilled during a quieter time of day.

The Burgers and Pulled Pork Nachos at Cheeky Monkey are outstanding!! Just so you know people smoke inside, so we decided to eat outside. They brine their meat for 2-3 days, then dry rub it, then pit smoke it for 12-14 hrs. Soo good!! Our waitress was really great too!

What seemed like a fun and energetic atmosphere was ruined by the overpowering cloud of smokers. We decided to stop in for a drink and music to end our evening before heading back home to the kid. We were greeted by the staff and got serviced quickly. We got there early so there wasnt many patrons in the establishment. We immediately could smell the smoke but it wasnt overpowering at that point. Within the hour several more people came in and they all smoked. It finally got to the point where where our eyes were watering and we had the occasional cough. We have been to many other smoking bars but this one doesnt seem to have an efficient air filtration system and the ceilings were much lower where it left you basking in the cloud. We paid our tab and left. We noticed many other non smokers leaving as well. I couldnt imagine how bad it is on a packed night. Altogether, the staff and service was fantastic. But the atmosphere left much to be desired. There is a science as to why most bars are transitioning to smoke free.

We were a family group of 8, looking for a cool place to grab some drinks, and snacks before a big family dinner that evening. Boy, did we choose the right place!!! We were greeted with a shot, ya gotta love that! Then there orders of wings and nachos, beer, Amaretto sours, and our new favorite ee oo .....well, just order a walla walla, lol. It the perfect yummy, and colorful drink. Were adding it to our drinks on the deck menu! The food was sooo good, the drinks, fantastic, the beer ice cold. The service was great, and entertaining. Im so sorry I dont remember his name! We had such a wonderful time were definitely going back on our next trip to Branson, and this time well allow more time! Btw, yes, we got the tshirts!😎

Haven’t had any food but the atmosphere and staff are great.

Staff was friendly and made sure we had what we needed and kept our drinks coming. The band was great. Bathrooms were clean. It is a small bar but I loved it. We set on the outside deck where you could still enjoy the music.

Ordered a quesidilla and got beef nachos instead,nachos were great,not sorry for the mix up

It was my first visit. Ordered food to go. Delicious 😋. While waiting, I had a beer. Good and cold. Would have stayed, but I had to get back to the condo with the food. Next time when I am in the area, Ill stay longer.

This place is awesome!! Sweetest waitress ever!! Wanted to know all our names as we came in at outside seating, before you knew it, she had introduced us all, remembering everyone’s name. Pretty amazing and the good time started, Thanks again!!Food was fantastic!! Very reasonable prices! Definitely deserves 5 stars+!!

Brisket nachos and daily cocktail were amazing.Cheesecake shooters were great!The smoker is 2 feet from the patio seating so it’s very smoky. I’m not used to places that still allow smoking indoors, so that was strange and disgusting. The food was fabulous! Would only return when weather permits sitting outside, but the staff was very friendly.

Ive had stronger drinks at church communion.Pulled pork quesadilla was alright for the price.Saving grace is the other bartender forgot to add drinks to our tab so we were able to save some money and go buy the alcohol that was missing from the drinks down the street.Atmosphere was good if your a Vietnam vet or remember the JFK assassination

Stopped here for a lunch on 3/19/22. Very good. He had ham and turkey sandwich. I had beef hot dog. Good prices and good food. Stop by and support their business. Thank you!

We visited on 6-12 for a late lunch. We ordered the Beef brisket nachos and Pulled Pork quesadilla. The staff was very friendly and a good atmosphere there.

Had a great time with Maggie, Ryan and all the other super awesome staff. We had great conversations, drinks and fun with a few couples. Food and drinks were good & flowing. Well be back next time were in Branson.
