Place is a dump, music sucks, bartenders are trash except for the lady on the 2nd floor she’s great. Would way rather go anywhere else, only good thing id say is it’s 18+.

We were in town to see the Van Pimpenstein show. We had a great time at Shooters. When the crowd on the ground floor became a bit too much, we went upstairs and it was perfect. The bartenders were nice, the drinks were fine, Epstein didnt kill himself.

Drinks not the best; plays out of date pop songs. If music was updated I think would be better

Full of belligerently drunk teenagers, this place is a dump. The bathroom has no door so if you were to use it you are completely exposed to anyone who walks by. Id recommend anywhere else in Durham over Shooters.

The place is very spacious. Good dj he played all the 2000s hit. The only reason it’s not getting 5 stars is there is a lot of fat middle aged man spilling there drinks on the elevated surface. Other then that there a good crowd of young kids and definitely recommend if you like to have a good time!!

Insanely fun bar. They have a mechanical bull. Basically the go to bar in Durham from what I hear. They also do pong which is kind of cool

This pub has all duke students and they are in groups you will hardly find anyone from outside, if you are looking for company I would not recommend this because its full of Duke students only and mostly under age 18 till 20.If you are above 30 please avoid this pub beacuse you wont find people in that age group.As said by all the reviewers their music isnt great its old.Nice place to hangout but not that great.5$ parking10$ EntryDrinks extra but reasonably priced e.g. beer can for 4$

I went here on Halloween weekend and I don’t plan on ever returning. Lots of creepy men, the dj played terrible songs, and they were playing news in the background of the dance floor. To be fair, that was kinda funny, but not ideal when you’re dancing and look up to see news stories about people dying..

This place is cool the first time you go but after that, you realize the music sucks. They play the same playlist every single time so it gets old pretty quick. Also they shouldn’t charge different fees for different students. But I guess if they’re trying to cater to Duke students, that why they have boring music and expensive prices.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. waited in line like everyone else and showed my valid nc ID. No wristband given to us. Was served at the bar. An hour later we went to get another drink and were confused to be asked for wristbands. What was a mistake on Shooter II part became a reason for the three bartenders to give us eyes, walk away from us when we walked up to the bar , and talk badly about us all night. We got the wristbands, as we were legal to drink, and the bartenders watched us all night talking rudely about us so loudly we could hear it from the booths. Really unkind and unwelcoming staff. Such a shame we live in a world with unnecessary unkindness.

I like the space a decent amount, but the old lady walking around like a know it all snatching non-alcoholic drinks and telling ppl off is very annoying. Good thing she walks off fast enough to not be corrected, would love to see them look as dumb as they act in a 18+ bar. 🙏🏾

One of the owners of this establishment (an old man) was flirting with and following us outside of the building. He made us INCREDIBLY uncomfortable. Not to mention, I have heard horror stories of the bouncers targeting young college-aged women and getting violent with them.

This place is a blast. Ive come here as a 22 year old and 27 year old. Never a bad time. They have a few beer pong nights, how many bars just have beer pong? Get cash out before you come for a cover charge, its worth it. Disregard the bad reviews. Those people didnt know how to have a good time.

College dance hangout. Dive bar-esque drink selection. Sloppy drunk college kids. Can be fun, but only if that is what youre looking for.

It is a decent club and a lot of Duke students go there. I am a UNC student and had an awful experience because the staff was so extremely rude to me and all of my friends. One woman demanded I paid her more than my entrance fee and threatened to get the police to arrest me. Probably wont go back.

Under 21 entrance fee was $31….

Me and my girlfriend have gone there once and will probably keep it to just that. This place could be 100Xs better if the dj simply updated his playlist from his 2006s country/pop hits. Otherwise decent bar with a decent dance floor. The crowd consists mostly of young Duke students. So be prepared to tell them how you dont go there. Over and over again. If you do, youll probably fit right in.

Showed up from outside of durham, was told that it was a duke students only night. ran into girls who drove from raleigh who were also turned away. bouncers rude and parking expensive. would not recommend.

It is the only decent club in Durhum to the best of my knowledge. It generally has a high density of students from over Duke University. The place is most crowded during the weekends because of obvious reasons.The place is quite spacious which is one great thing bout this club.

The decor for this location is of a western theme with a mechanical bull, however after driving all the way there in hopes for a country bar I found only hip hop or Latin music. Quite the disappointment. The dancefloor is huge and would be nice if they could alternate dances nights for each genre. I feel like they would get better reviews

DO NOT GO HERE! I would give them zero stars, if I could. The bartenders were super rude. They will stare you straight in the face and not serve you...unless youre caucasian, apparently. To top it all off, they charged additional money to my card that was NOT authorized (embezzlement)!!! I will be contacting this establishment and my bank for a full refund.

They’re kind of skeptical about letting you in unless you’re a duke student. Also, duke students get charged $5, while other students have to pay $15. The place is crowded and the music is pretty trash unless you’re super drunk.

My roomies and I are from out of state. Never been here until last night. Great vibes, kind of a younger crowd but still all age groups. Theyre music was mid 2000s which was good but not really new at all. Ok prices on drinks no food. Beer pong, bull riding, line dance, balcany views, pretty sweet hip honky tonk feel.

The cops here were useful in protecting line integrity until it actually became important. If you want business then please consider monitoring the lines better.

Lively and buzzing every time I have been here. Crowd is mostly comprised of duke students. Head there If you really Wana party and dance. Might occasionally find the Duke mens basketball team chilling here.

Cool place not much beer selection. Come to dance

Security is terrible. Instead of my assailant being forcefully escorted out, I was. Security paid no regard to the situation at hand and left me to deal with intoxicated drivers on my own

Security was very unprofessional when dealing with me. I was manhandled and started having panic attacks. Lucky I don’t sue then man who dragged me out like I was trash. Shooters security is very unprofessional and should be fired !

It’s a fairly decent place. But my only complaint is they let way too many people in. I’m sure if the fire Marshall came in, they would get a fine by the city. It’s sad when an establishment values profit over safety.

WORST NIGHT LIFE SPOT IN DURHAM. staff had us waiting in line for 40 minutes to get in and would not tell us that they were not letting any more people in. such a mess and so unorganized not even worth the $5 to get in. go to devines

Bouncers are racist and violent towards women. They clearly have an issue with this when multiple women have the same experiences based on google reviews. I hope they do something about this before they get sued.

Wouldnt let me an my friends because he said our shorts wont on our waistline then we put them on our waists an he said we still cant come in because of dress code. Seemed very discriminating. I feel offended an strange because of this encounter.

$10 cover, young crowd, and usually fills up well after 11pm.

Horrible owner. Refused to let me Designated Driver anywhere near the building and told police my Uber was a drunk driver. DO NOT COME HERE.

I wouldnt really say I was disappointed in Shooters as I did not have high hopes for this place to begin with. David Attenborough could probably narrate a Planet Earth episode filmed in there and viewers wouldnt even notice the difference. The abysmal place just seems too overhyped for a mediocre club that would have failed in literally any city with a population above five digits. The success of this nightmare could be attributed to either the lack of options in the area or the ignorance to the fact that there are upwards of millions of clubs in other parts of the world that are leagues ahead of this one. I would stick to the former hypothesis, though.

Shooters is the post-modern condition: nothing makes very much sense, but its exactly as much fun as you decide to have. -1 star bc the mens room has no door.

The music is actually the worst ( its literally a playlist, no mixing) and sounds like what a grandpa would play in hopes of sounding cool. trash for real.

Definitely a fun place! A bunch of Duke students are always here so it gets a little crazy sometimes...

The bouncers don’t care about doing their job and they let the line get so out of control that you might get injured waiting to get in

They allow minors in the club, and allow underage drinking not very secure about the drinking laws.
