Last time I was here was over 8 years for lunch and maybe a dinner… but forget about all that… Lets talk about their Arab & Latin nightlife! They have an outdoor area for hookah and a chiller vibe. They have the lounge for EDM and the dining area was a classy Latin night. Drinks were reasonable priced and overall good mix drinks. The hookah was made just perfect. We will be back because I’m old and need to stay in Fairfax county.
Greenhouse Bistro is an unsuspecting destination for contemporary American and Italian cuisine, where craft beer flows as freely as water and cocktails are concocted with the care of a chemist. This isnt just a restaurant; its a culinary garden where urban cuisine is reimagined through a lens thats both modern and distinctly Italian.Having meandered through their menu on a few occasions, each visit feels like a new chapter in an ongoing gastronomic adventure. The Rockfish, for instance, is a symphony of flavors, with its wild-caught dignity resting atop a bed of creamy sautéed orzo, accompanied by roasted corn and kale, all serenaded by a red pepper coulis. Its a dish that could easily have Neptune himself trading in his trident for a dinner reservation. The Steamed Mussels, with their garlic tomato sauce and homemade toasted bread, are a testament to the beauty of simplicity. Each mussel is a tender morsel of the sea, captured in a sauce that sings with the freshness of the garden and the warmth of the hearth. The Greenhouse Salad is a vibrant tapestry of basil, cilantro, romaine, radish, carrot, cherry tomato, onion, cucumber, and walnut, all tossed in a sesame ginger dressing. Its a salad that dances on the palate, proving that not all heroes wear capes--some just come dressed in vinaigrette. The Burrata Caprese is a love letter to tomatoes, basil, and belgioioso burrata, all draped in balsamic glaze and extra virgin olive oil. Its a dish that could make an Italian nonna weep with joy, capturing the essence of summer in every bite.Pizza aficionados, fear not, for the Bianca with Prosciutto is a slice of heaven. The salty crispness of the prosciutto pairs impeccably with the creamy dreaminess of the cheese, making for a pizza thats as elegant as it is indulgent. Now, lets talk about The Burger--a culinary masterpiece where brisket, chuck, and short rib blend together in perfect harmony, accented by caramelized onions, green leaf lettuce, tomato, smoked gouda cheese, and a killer sauce, all nestled within a brioche bun. Its the kind of burger that demands a moment of silence before the first bite, a tribute to its sheer perfection.Last but not least, the Crab & Shrimp Stuffed Salmon, accompanied by mashed potatoes and broccoli and drizzled with a lime butter sauce, is a dish that showcases the magic of the sea and the garden, united in a culinary marriage thats both bold and beautiful.Greenhouse Bistro, with its blend of American zest and Italian charm, is more than just a dining destination; its a place where food is both an art and a celebration. Whether youre there for the beer, the ambiance, or the urban garden cuisine, its a spot that continues to grow on you, one delicious bite at a time.
Honestly, its the first time Ive been there and the service was excellent, the best service Ive ever had and delicious food, I didnt know what to order so I ordered The Burger honestly very good....I recommend this place to celebrate a birthday or go on a date or night out with friends or your partner.
I’ve now been here several times for dancing. The first time the person checking-us in voiced that shoes being worn were noted too casual, however, he was observed allowing others in who were dressed in beachwear. I asked my friends to find a manager, then, we were allowed inside. The person checking-us in also informed us that the earlier you arrive, you may be allowed inside w/ out any issue as it relates to dress wear, which makes absolutely no sense. In total, I’ve been there three times, however, by invitation of friends. I don’t think I’d go on my own, as it doesn’t highly appeal to me.
A very special thanks to Nomi,We wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for your extended help and attention to our graduation celebration. You managed every detail with such care and professionalism, ensuring that everything went smoothly and beautifully.Grateful for your generosity and continuous willingness to help - we are incredibly grateful for all that you have done. Our graduation was a milestone event, and your contributions played a crucial role in making it an unforgettable experience! You are what makes Greenhouse such an incredibleestablishment & clients coming back over and over again. With much gratitude 🪬🧿
I ordered the grilled shrimp skewers, it only had 3 very small shrimp, 3 slices of cucumber and some slices of onion. That for $14! The power was out for around half hour. When the power came back I tried to order something more and they said the kitchen was closed, they didn’t even offer chips. They really need to improve their food and service. I’m not going back to this place ever again.
Food not good, drink very not good ( take wine if you can but they have nothing from the menu)… super basic service… he don’t know most drinks… and he was spending his time sifted at the counted talking with the barmans instead of taking care of the client… I understand the mandatory 20% tip, if we could choose, it barely deserves a 10%… cannot split the cheque in multiple way… also, announce themselves as Italian American restaurant… but it’s more middle eastern Lebanese… but not well done… the appetizers are décents but the meals are not good… in the platter, the rice is probably some 90 second microwave uncle Ben’s.. no taste, bad texture… very not appealing! The decor have bugs wears and tears… it’s sad cause it have the abilit To be a very cool place but it’s a fail… was probably cool 7-8 years ago…Won’t go back definitely!
Cute atmosphere but the place needs upkeep. The food was edible but that’s all I can say about it. The chicken was dried out. The fries were not good. The rice was unimpressive, dry and just not good. Presentation was good but not worth the money. Also, I forgot that they added gratuity into the meal for a 2 person dinner so I double tipped for mediocre service (we had to find the waitress to ask for the bill). The decor was damaged and the bathrooms weren’t super clean. Not impressed, would not go back. The only reason they got a 2 instead of a 1 is that things weren’t gross- just not impressive and not worth the cost (though prices weren’t too high but chain restaurants with similar prices are better) or dinner out.
Note if you ask for water, they ask if you want still or sparkling. Still is a $4.50 bottle of Fuji that you arent informed youre being charged for. Tip is precharged. Look at your bill closely. Food and service were adequate. Patio was lovely, but not so great to make it worth another visit.
Beautiful outdoor patio, amazing ambience, great service and delicious food. This place is great for all occasions, even private parties. Has a large bar inside each of the large rooms. Would highly recommend this place whether to have dinner or just grab a drink or even for a night of fun. They even have a dj most evenings as well as other live performances.
Follow me @thefoodpreacher on all digital platforms for foodie reviews.I’m OB, and I approve this message 😂.—————First off, let me be very clear, the food at this place is outstanding! See images attached.Second, the aesthetics inside and out this restaurant are amazingly gorgeous. From the outdoor patio seating area to the divided Latin-Mediterranean music lounges. They both tend to pop-off really well. I mean if you want to light up a hookah then stick to the Mediterranean lounge and if you want some banging @$$ music then hang out over in the Latin lounge.Third, the only thing my friends and I did not like was that bc we were a party of 12 we almost felt forced to be on one check or one bill rather than a split payment option, but we ended up working something out with the manager to a win-win situation.Definitely recommend coming by this bistro, for sure.
Wow what can I say. This was my first visit and definitely Hookah selection in this place is one of the best around, and most importantly the service is very good. The workers were quickly there to attend when I needed - a pleasant surprise to most Hookah places I’ve been to. The drinks were strong and Mediterranean ford was great too, lots of variety and reasonable prices. Live music was a nice touch. I loved the hummus plate and red wine, but will be back for Hookah definitely for another try with friends.
So confusing. Restaurant, tea house and late night club. Then you get there and its also a hookah bar with Latino music playing. There are less than 10 people here and its 6pm Friday night. Worse... they force a 20% gratituity which, for us.. at the bar, essentially gave the bartender a reason to provide minimum service possible with less than 20 words spoken total.I wish I knew what this place is supposed to be. One thing it isnt..a place to just hang and have fun.
I am not happy with my first and pretty much the last visit here. The price on food is not high but food is not excellent. I ordered seafood risotto that was pretty much tasteless. My husband ordered tuna stake and here no complains, cooked perfectly. Churasco u can see on pic. Look so so. But the worst was service. First. They sit us at the table where we’re staying dirty glass and a server didn’t pick it up until I didn’t asked her to do it. Than a guy, I assumed, from host offer us to put our umbrella on host station and we agreed, but apparently they just needed our umbrella to meet other guests and was using our umbrella without even asking us. Even more. We went outside after we made food and another round of drinks. On the way back another “gentleman” who works there asked for my id. On reasonable notice that we are already here spending money the last almost hour he didn’t react and in mean way told me to go to my table than to return back and show him my id. Why should I return back if I am a client why he is staying over there and chatting with girls? It is too much, never again! Plus be careful! They include 20% tips on big groups.
Went here on a Saturday night with a group of friends and family, and they had a band playing Latin music, which was amazing. Then, they had a dj later that night that played Latin music as well. They had a separate room that played house music. Had a lot of fun, it was great!
Food not great, probably McDonalds taste better and WAY cheaper!! Just eat at the McDonalds cross the street before walk-in into this place. Drinks are Fking expensive. My friend bought 2 shots of tequila for $40 and it was not pure tequila! For sure they mix something else or they buy their tequila at 7/11Music was good! No complaints! Good music. We really enjoyed dancing. They force 20% tip so keep that in mind.
Went on a nice sunny day with a breeze and even though we sat inside, the place was open and let the nice weather in. This place seems very busy usually at nights, but we went around 3-4pm and were able to avoid a crowd. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the food was top notch, especially their butter chicken curry. This place would be great for an atmospheric dinner!
Ive been to greenhouse many times for dance events and its a nice place to come with a group of friends and dance.I had always been curious about the food and had an opportunity to stop by for a late dinner at 9pm and called to make sure the kitchen was open. After some delay in finding a hostess and getting a table, I ordered the chicken kabob which came out fairly quickly (10 minutes) and looked good, but was unfortunately undercooked and didn’t taste good. I had chosen an outdoor table so I could have a phone conversation so I waited 10 minutes for a waiter to arrive so they could take it back to re-cook it. But my waiter never came by. Having missed lunch and it being past 9pm, I ended up eating the undercooked chicken kabob - the waiter came by around 10 minutes after I had mostly finished the less-than-mediocre meal and was informed of the undercooked chicken. No refund, no attempt to make up for it, and no word from the kitchen.I will not be returning againand I wont recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food.
Went because we got an invite from one of the regulars. They treated us good. We also are from Overseas. So, it’s chill. Kind of expensive for drinks. But expected considering it was packed at 2 am.
Hookah is amazing! Variety of tastes, very smooth. Professional service. Much better hookah than they used to have. Must try.
Only been a couple of times. Nice vibe. Quite a mix of folks. Seems laid back... which I like. The live bands have just fabulous...seen one on Saturday and another on a Friday and both have been truly entertaining. Would definitely be going back to get an even better feel of the place.I didnt score the food simply cause I havent eaten anything there....Yet 😉
We came to Washington from Houston for a wedding of our friends for the weekend. My husband owns middle eastern restaurant in Houston. We spent evening of Apr 19 in Greenhouse. Had nice table with drinks for around 8-9 ppl. Everything was fine until the time my husband wanted to order hookah. He got $72 bill instead of $55. My husband has strong principles, he will not pay price higher for smth that costs different (read lower) price in the menu. After asking why the price is $72, server replied that this includes tax and tips. My husband told that he will decide about the tips. After he refused to get the hookah. 3 ppl of security or whatever these ppl are disrespectfully kicked my husband out. One of them was Sasha, who was smiling with his crooked grin, feeling his power. This place is full, they have a lot of customers, so they dont need more. SHAME ON YOU, GREENHOUSE
I generally liked it. We were there for a surprise birthday party. The big issue of the night was how we would pay. We expected individual checks for each couple or group of friends, but the management was being inflexible, saying there would be a single check for our group of 30+. After much back and forth, they agreed to 5 checks. Groups were formed. Then our waiter said that my wife and I could just pay him for our individual orders. When we were ready to leave, we asked him for the check, and it was apparently back to one large one. Since we were leaving a bit early, we gave cash to a friend for our portion, being overly generous, since we know how one bill often turns out. We later discovered that one person gifted the entire affair, so were getting our money back.Drinks were ok, but a weak pour on my double Patron. Id asked for it neat, but it came in a glass full of ice, with a submerged lime. I didnt ask for the lime either. Compared to my wifes double Scotch, we had an obvious problem. Mine was a weak single. That was fixed. Food was above average. The calamari was perfectly cooked, with a very nice sweet chili sauce. The tuna tartare was generous, very fresh, and lovely. The pizza bianca with prosciutto was also done very well, though with more basil than to my taste, and the prosciutto was layered on after the pizza was cut, so a bit unwieldy. But the basil was fresh garnish, and easily removed.A Latin band provided entertainment, and provided a festive mood for the celebration. A generous 4 stars for the evening, which I think theyd earn in a different situation.
This place is fire for the social scene with live bands, two DJs, two lounges, and a hookah bar. Its a progressive scene for the Gen Z/Millennial generation; Im Gen X and while my FAM deprived me of a good time, Id go again for a do-over. The food was okay. I had rockfish which was very bland and fishy with orzo or risotto which had a decent flavor. I also had the feta and herb appetizer which had too many fresh herbs and not enough naan bread. You have to pay more for additional bread. Also, the dish needed something sweet added like dates, raisins, figs or a fig jam. All in all its the place to be on a Thursday - Saturday nights.
This is a great place to eat, dance and mingle! The food was really good and so was the service. Its an entertaining place to spend the evening.
My rating is based on the nightlife experience and the service in general. I don’t know whether they have changed management because I had a positive experience the first time I came here. I arrived with a couple friends last night and we saw a line. We didn’t think much of it and we waited. After 10 minutes, we noticed that they were giving preference to certain demographics and letting them in and not letting anyone who didn’t have a reservation inside. Keep in mind it was cold and we were among the front of the line. We did not want a table, we were just there to dance to Latino and EDM music and leave. 30 minutes later, the line is not moving and they are only allowing certain demographics in and lying that they’ve reached capacity (while we see bunch of people leaving the establishment). It really was insulting to not only let us wait more than 30 minutes in the cold without a real reason, but then to also make up rules on the spot. I got fed up and made a reservation. We had one guy with us and they didn’t let him in because he had on cargo pants. Keep in mind there is no dress code mentioned on their website, and there were girls and guys who were wearing rip jeans and cargo pants and they still got in (they were clearly showing preference on certain demographics). Annoyed, we let our table go and bounced. There is a lot of entitlement and judgement here (people pulling up in rolls Royce’s and Porsches) due to the new money flashy behavior the guests display. When we left, we still did not see the line move and people were still waiting in the cold for close to an hour. This is honestly unacceptable and because of the service displayed from their management, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
For the appetizer, I only had the Lobster Bosque, and for the main course, I had the Crab & Shrimp Stuffed Salmon, which was just one of the best Salmons dishes I had in years. The crispness of the outside was just amazing😋On the other hand, the waiter Adrian was very attentive & kept an eye on my table to make sure everything was just right👌🏻
Bartender was just what you would want and made great drinks but the beer tap tasted like something was off like it was dirty or something because everyone had different beers and they all had an odd flavor, waste of money and this place is definitely overpriced anyways.
Hookah was insanely expensive ($55) for how average it was. Took forever to get new coals, which I had to ask for multiple times. Beware they add a 20% service fee even before 10 pm. Frustrating because they state that 20% gratuity is added on all checks AFTER 10 pm, yet I was in and out before 8:30 pm.
We got here around 11 pm for the dance party. The theme was Halloween, and music was mostly Latino with a mix of dance and old r&b. Got the table in the back and ordered a few drinks and deserts. The dance floor was large enough to accommodate folks dancing. The table had $100 minimum, which is not bad at all for dance clubs (major DC clubs charge several times more). Parking was available at the garage in the back. Folks ranged in ages from new adults in early 20s to senior citizens. Everyone was having a good time! Overall good place (really only place) in Tysons area for dance club with reasonable food prices.
Many thanks to Alvaro, Rebeca, and Nomi for making my wifes birthday celebration a fun and smooth event! Their Team was able to accommodate another table adjacent to the initial table. Rebeca kept our drink and food orders flowing all night and there were no issues with the final bill. The serving team was amazing, bringing out food hot as they became ready. Alvaro was great with checking in on us and storing our cake and having it cut up and served to our guests. We appreciated everything: the customer service, food quality, and timing of the food. Weve loved coming here for years and will continue to do so!
Our waitress Lily was the worst of the worst for the entire night. Im not sure if they give her too many tables to serve or if she forgets her orders... We asked for everything almost 3 times and even had to ask another waiters to get more drinks. Will never go back, service sucks!
This has become a favorite of ours. Great food and multiple dining options from the greenhouse to the club room. The dancefloor gets full on weekends with a live Latin band and continues with the DJ playing a variety of genres, including Latin, Afro beats, and even a little Reggae/dancehall.Special shout-out to Natalia for always taking care of us!
Bartender soooooo rude!!!! I just wanted more ice and they both told me to wait for half an hour. Ridiculous!!!! I just there for the music. Service is awful
My recent visit to this hookah place was an absolute delight. The ambiance was inviting, the service was friendly, and the hookah quality was top-notch. The hookah staff was super knowledgeable and helped me choose from their impressive range of flavors. Each puff delivered smooth, flavorful smoke, making it a truly enjoyable experience. If youre looking for a fantastic hookah spot, this place is definitely worth a visit.P.S. I highly recommend Mojito Citrus Mixed flavor. Very smooth and enjoyable flavor.
Love the vibe here! If I were a local Id be a regular for sure
Lounge/ club dancing hookah bar amazing place, Middle Eastern style music and Latino
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE GOING THERE FOR DRINKS specially the guy bartender. They don’t know how to make their Long Island . It tastes weird and I went back to the bar to ask for another drink and bartender didn’t even care. All they care is about money and bad bartenders. Bad service. I like the music and that’s about it.
Food is pretty good, atmosphere is good, the only thing I don’t like is that instead of changing the goal from the hookah you have to spend another $45 for a brand new one. I don’t know if they changed owners, but it wasn’t like this before. Every other place I’ve ever been to they’ll change the goal without any charge. They’ll charge to change the flavor but not make you get a whole new hookah. It’s really such a shame.
A good cafe and its a kind of bar and club at night. I liked the. Hookah.
Great food! Wait staff was not as outgoing as I would have exerted expected.
Wow, this place rocks! The food is seriously tasty. You can chill in the tea lounge or hit the bar, theyve got you covered. And dont even get me started on the hookah. I mean, puffing away under the stars on the patio, man thats just next level. The hookah is smooth and the flavor range is epic. So if youre into good food, great vibes, and top-notch hookah, then youve gotta check this place out!
In two instance i a worse experience at Greenhouse Bistro.During my visit, I observed inconsistencies in the door policy which led to feelings of exclusion and a lack of respect for certain individuals. In particular, I witnessed an incident where an elderly man was denied entry and treated disrespectfully. Furthermore, I noticed several instances of line-cutting, where certain individuals were given preferential treatment and allowed to bypass the wait without apparent justification. These occurrences, combined with my previous visits to the restaurant, have left me disappointed with the level of professionalism displayed by the staff. The encounters I have had were marked by rudeness, unprofessionalism, and insulting behavior.
We had dinner with my friends we were told that we need to consume minimum of $50 per person in order to get table. We order drinks and food clear to cover. When we got check we were charged extra 250$ with the excuse that we didn’t no reach the minimum. NO TRUE we spend bar plus food around $100 per person. They add Plus Extra charge to bring the cake with no disclosure.Nobody explained that won’t count the money that we will spend in the bar.Thais people overcharged and made us feel extremely uncomfortable observing our check. There were forcing us to paid what the wanted!Food was very delicious, music is excellent, services was ok. HIDDEN FEES and putting food in your check that is not yours, was the problem!I would not going back there with my friends, after very uncomfortable situation. On the top managers were very RUDE!
Original post : (update below)Easy access, good parking, no charge, coat check is free (tip welcome). The live music before 10:30 was great but the DJ could improve, he play pretty much the same stuff over and over, cut in with a lot of sound effects to cover the change of songs and would go from a fast to slow song, killing the crowd ambient. In 2 hours we were there he used 1 song 5 times and people were leaving the floor.Update 7/19/24I visited this place after 6 years... Found it pretty much the same, there is a new room (hooka bar and they also play music ) the music was for most of the night good ,people were dancing and having a good time until the DJ started playing bad bunny music... The dance floor pretty much got empty and the people headed to the hooka bar to dance to American music .Once latin music was played again the dance floor got full again and once again he played that music and the dance floor got empty.....The DJ should know how to read the crowd and play with works to keep the dance floor.Good drinks and the prices were ok.
Ate dinner here on Wednesday evening. Sat outside on the beautifully designed patio. Nice chill music, greens/plants surround you. Comfortable couches. Lucia was great! She’s very pleasant and attentive. The food was delicious!
Cool place for relax and enjoy and have fun.Latino or Arabic music, something for everyoneFood ,drinks, place for dance...
Food and decor are nice. My friends say the meat is good, but as vegetarian I still found some options. On weekends they have dancing in two different rooms. I really liked easy parking. Also, in one room they serve hookah with many flavors. My friends want to keep going back to try all of these. High quality overall compared to some other Shisha places in the area that use foil with synthetic quick light coals. Here they actually use metal bowl with natural coconut charcoal at no extra cost.
This place is a whole vibe. The atmosphere is great- lots of people watching, outdoor seating and nice music. The hookah this time, they changed vendors, is ok. The food is always a 3 stars which is disappointing, but the service is great (shout out to Adrian and Natalia)! Live band on Friday and Saturday and then a DJ at 11PM. Dancing throughout.
Paid for drinks and took care of the bartender with an additional 5% after the mandatory 20%.. and tipped additional 5% what a loser must suck to be a loser. Owned and operated by losers
I do many a sales team happy hour here every quarter. We arrive when they open at 4 and get the best service, great food, and an area to hang out together. There is usually about 30 of us and they handle us with ease. I will continue to go back cause theyre that awesome.
Showed up at opening on a Saturday night. Staff looked stunned we walked in. My fiancee ran to the bathroom and was gone a while. She came back in through the front doors, which were locked after we had just walked in 5 minutes earlier, and said the door from restrooms to get back into the bar area was locked, and no toilet paper or paper towels in the womens restroom. We sat for 40 minutes and nobody else came in. Wouldnt waste my Saturday night here again!
Had my wife’s birthday party here. Everything was fantastic. From management to waitresses, to music, to the atmosphere. All our guests gave me countless compliments on this venue. Highly recommend.
Great staff, better strawberry margarita
Very experienced restaurant/club owner putting together an impressive fusion of food, ambiance, music, and nightlife. Incredibly fast service with a lively crowd. One of the more impressive hospitality establishments, overall, Ive ever seen, and outside of a city to boot.
The service not so good. My friend and I sat down waiting for the waiter to come get our orders, but they kept passing by us and ignoring... too crowded on Fridays and Saturdays. Music is good though...
Dont go here! These people are rip offs and pure scammers. We dined in last night, there were six of us, 3 people only ate the food and they charged us 20% surcharge actually the owner did, despite the fact that it says surcharge is charged after 10pm. The service itself was terrible, wife ordered bread wither her food, it never arrived. We were waiting to pay the bill for over 30 min, so we finally got up and asked to pay, initially was $63 and noticed where the owner added surcharge 20%. When questioning they got very aggressive and said its because there were 6 people, okay yes but no where does it say that you charge this fee, which is pure unethical business practice. Not only that, the guy charged my credit card for an additional amount and also added extra tip which now I have to call my credit card and dispute these charges. Ill be also reporting you to Better Business Bureau, as you are scamming customers so they can re evaluate your licensing in the area. Never ever will I be back!!!!
The place for over 30 crowd to have a drink and dance near home. Food, service and atmosphere is always great.
I had my birthday party here . Mgt know what they are doing. We had good seating/ great food and perfect music. Highly recommended
A waitress walked up to me and shoved me then told me I couldn’t stand on the side of the bar. Why did she need to put her hands on me? Never again will I visit this place.
I love to go over here!! But the Dj it leaves much to be desired, Mix music was awful 😞
I went to Greenhouse Bistro because of the salsa dancing and the live band on Friday nights. The band was great and the environment of GB was really nice. I didn’t dine there so I can’t comment on the food but the overall establishment is one that I would like to visit again for a meal.
Would not recommend - $20 cover charge for male.
The worst treatment by club staff!!! There were barely anyone at the club, almost all tables were empty and bartenders had no customers, hence no one showed up at our table for a good 20 min we were sitting there. Staff were rude and very unprofessional. You definitely did not deserve the $1000+ our party spent the same night at the next lively stop, with kind, and caring staff!Would never go back there!
If youre a hookah fan, this place is a must-visit! Incredible selection of flavors, and the staff is super diligent about checking coals. Perfect spot to kick back after work or over the weekend. Youve gotta try it to believe it. Five star experience all the way!
This restaurant is nothing short of a -3 star restaurant with terrible service. To begin they charge you for two hookah heads when you order one, the hookah itself is dirty and the water in is disgusting. The drinks are terrible regardless of how basic they are. The food is disgusting, didn’t even eat it just left it on the table and the server wasn’t even botheredto ask if the food is okay.We asked for our bill and they mentioned we didn’t spend enough and then I requested my bill as I had to go and they held it hostage. Just fyi we sat in a standard table not their so called “lounge” area. The best part is if you spend a penny under $50-100 a person they will be really upset and try to hold your card hostage and threaten you. Don’t waste your time or money here.Alvaro Santiago thinks he is in a mob and try to threaten you, that man needs to get some help.
We had a great time here on a Sunday evening. Our server Adrian was absolutely excellent. The food was very tasty, with generous portions. The atmosphere out on the patio was excellent, I would highly recommend Greenhouse Bistro for dinner👌
They told us we need to spend $50 pp, we had eight ppl and had dinner already and wanted to get drinks. Never had I ever been to a restaurant that required a specific amount as minimum purchase. The place didn’t have any ethnic ppl outside of their race. Feel like they were basing this off of ethnic preferences.
Great experience here, everyone was very nice and accommodating for our group. The drinks were well made and our group sampled a variety. The beef and chicken empanadas were very good and Id order both varieties again! It was quite loud in the bar area and there was only our group and one other and it was quite loud. If it was packed it may be an issue if you care about that sort of thing. If not then youre good to go!They also have hooka which I hope to try next time.
Absolutely terrible. Got there and they sat us at the lounge but there were stuff for the 9:00pm reservation already when our reservation was at 6:45pm . The server was constantly rushing us and the entire time the environment felt very hostile. I had brought in a cake and the hostess did not mention ANYTHING about a charge of $35 of bringing our own cake in but the server mentioned it in front of us as the birthday person was cutting the cake. Very unprofessional and just plain rude. I honestly never been to a place where they charge you a fee for bringing your own cake. I get if it’s a small fee but a fee of the same price as a whole cake?! Food was below mid. Everything was either bland or salty. Missing utensils and sharing plates as we received our food. Greenhouse was seriously such a bad experience.
$100 minimum per person. $55 hookah that takes over an hour to get. Wrong flavors arrive. They put charcoals over the entire hookah, which burns it all in minutes then refuse to give you an extra charcoal. Owner stole my keychain but gave me back my keys. I would rather hang out in a porter potty than go back to this place. The entire crowd should be at home with their grandkids. They have a dress code for some, but ignore others. Ridiculously terrible and overpriced.
A dining/entertainment experience shouldn’t make you feel like you’re getting swindled. We went with a group of 4 last night for hookah and drinks. At check in, the host mentioned a $50 table minimum. With the volume of music, I neglected to hear the “per person” part. They then ask you for your credit card, at the check in desk. This should have been my indication to walk away. When we sat down it took about 15 minutes to actually get any service, which makes sense looking at the electronic only menu. As soon as you hit the $100 mark (magically the table minimum for even a party of 2), they tack on an automatic 20 percent gratuity. Needless to say, there was no rush to serve us. When we arrived, the place was busy, but not packed. By the time we left, the clientele had morphed into a steady chain of “who has the newer Ferrari, let’s get bottle service” man children. Overall, the whole experience was a bust.
Way too loud, you need to scream if you want to talk to someone, obviously ok for some dancing, taste of drinks was awful, maybe its time to check the filter of the ice machine or else, food is subpar, even the fries had weird taste.
The bartender was very rude, and the DJ had an exaggerated ego, thinking he was Tiesto! The music wasnt good and dance floor was almost empty. When we politely asked for a song, the DJ rudely dismissed us. The only reason people go to this club is because its the only one in the area. We wont be going back.
The food was okay. Nothing special. I would not go there for food. Ambience was nice, especially the the live band. We asked for an extra table as we had more people join the group but server refused that it was booked when it was available for next two hours. Clearly, they chose more customers over customer satisfaction which shows their character.
I have been here a few times. Good food with a great vibe.
Rude policy for costumers.Even though we paid 150$ for a hookah 2 dishes and 3 drinks they never changed the charcoal. One time charcoal only. The strangest hookah place i have been.Last night was my first and last time in there
Tins all around great food. I would definitely come here just to eat, but the music was exceptional as well. Lots of salsa dancing I’m not a fan of the hookah smoke.
Very fun place on the right nights. They do have a very weird policy where they take your physical credit card upon arrival to ensure you hit their “minimums”. I understand if they’ve had bad experiences with ppl skipping out on the bill but there’s also ways to have the credit card swiped on arrival and the physical card returned to the client. The fact they keep the physical card is unsettling and frankly leaves a bad taste upon arrival. Hopefully management adjusts this policy ASAP.
Horrible experience the last time I went. I’ve been here many times before and many of my friends frequent this place and this time the service was terrible it took them ages to bring out 2 simple items and I would have to ask multiple servers multiple times to bring things. When we complained about the service they didn’t do anything to improve the experience and forced us to add 20% service charge even though service was horrible. Food sucked and the manager was just partying instead of managing the staff. We asked to speak to manager and he never came. Will never return and have told friends as well Instagram followers to never visit here as well.
Went here on a Saturday night. There was no wait if we sat in the outside but covered patio. The food looked good and my friends liked their choice, however I didnt like mine. I ordered tuna steak with beet risotto, and the tuna steak was overcooked and dry. The risotto was very bland, and I didnt finish the rissotto. It wasnt worth it. It needed flavor and a bit of salt. My friend got a chicken kabob, and it looked good but didnt even come with pita bread.. which to me is a small detail that leaves one feeling incomplete 😕 and just eh ok food. The live music was great though, they also offer hookah so in all I think its a great place for drinks and music and afterward there is dancing and a DJ. Next time, if I rven go back, it will only be for drinks, hookah, and good fun with friends.
The bartenders at Greenhouse exhibit discourteous behavior. I had an encounter with Pablo who provided false information about a soccer match that supposedly wasnt airing on any of their channels. When I sought confirmation from another bartender, Pablo intervened and prevented him from assisting us, directing him to say that we had already consulted Pablo. Curiously, moments after leaving the bar area, they suddenly switched to the channel broadcasting the soccer match. This sequence of events left me suspecting that their actions might have been intentional.
I was so amazed by the service given from Josh during my last visit. He really knows how to treat everyone that walks into the bistro. He also recommended the best hookah and items to order on the menu. Thank you Josh!
This place is a hidden Jewel! The customer service from the door to the table is amazing. They have a menu with a variety of taste choices for your pallette! I love the atmosphere!
Empanadas were amazing, Chicken Marsala super tasty, Hookah always CLEAN, ambience always a vibe, drinks could be stronger, servers and service always good! Luchia was super sweet!!! Overall one of my favorite spots to go to !!!
Food was wonderful but the service was poor. The restaurant wasnt busy. We had a few stragglers from work arrive late so our party slowly grew from 5 to 8. The server claimed that it was restaurant policy to only allow four methods of payment for parties of 5 or more, even though we each needed separate receipts for work reimbursement. If they were going to mandate 20% gratuity the least they could do was allow for each of us to pay for our own meal.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Greenhouse and I must say that the service provided by our server, Luchia, was exceptional. From the moment we arrived until the end of our meal, Luchia went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was memorable and enjoyable.Luchia greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile, instantly making us feel at ease. She was extremely attentive, taking the time to explain the menu options, provide recommendations, and answer any questions we had. The food was amazing, great choices and delicious taste. We really enjoyed our time.
The music very old, i think you should update the music for dancing. music with new songs. Since it is such a busy place.I visit here a lot, and several times the music has been the same, I love the place but I think the music can improve by the DJ
This place is nice, but bar tender Pablo was very rude and showed no customer service, he is a bad representation for this nice place. I hope management talks to him and confront him, as his main duties is to provide excellent customer service.
We went for a concert, but before the event, we wanted to have a dinner. Food was delicious and our server (Adrian) was amazing. At the bar there was a guy, with a roots from Greece (sorry, I forgot his name) with the best attitude and great smile. DJ was great. I have to mention Alan too. He was ready to help with any request. On the end, concert was canceled, because of technical dificulties, but we have a good time and did not get upset.Because of the people that work here, we would definitelly go back, dispite the fact that we need a couple hours to get there.Highly recommend this place.
I had a fun time. We got a table on the terrace, and you can have hookah if you sit outside. I really liked the quality of new hookahs they serve and the service. Really appreciated.
What a great place! We came here to relax after birthday for after party. The hookah servers are so helpful, tried skyfall and love66 flavour. Amazing.
This was our first time at Greenhouse, and I am very impressed with my overall experience. Our server, Lucia, was really welcoming and attentive to all of our requests. Highly recommended for a night out with friends and families!
I wanted to tell everyone that my Team at work had the Best Time at Greenhouse Bistro this past Tuesday! We went for a Team Happy Hour - we sat out on patio. It was Fantastic! We had made reservations and pre-ordered items from the catering menu. The entire vibe, the wait staff, the manager - All went well above to make sure my Team felt welcomed and well cared for during our Happy Hour. Great food as well and the Silo Rosa Martini! So so good. We will be back! Thanks!
We spent some good nights there before until one day everything changed. It’s a long story that been already described here before: verbal harassment, poor service and no security to begin with. For a woman this is not a place to feel safe if you just trying to enjoy your time with friends. The owner clearly has his favorite people there that management does not care if you have any concern about this place’s safety. You can read through those reviews and see how arrogant they answer people. Shame.
I went for the club experience on Saturday night and it was awesome super fun! Im sure the food is good 👍
This was a very different experience then the last time I came here. The reception staff were well organized and knowledgeable. The staff member assigned to my table in the O Lounge was worth her weight in gold. The appetizers were excellent and the staff member recommended me a virgin mojito. If you do not drink then the virgin mojito is the way to go. I absolutely look forward to returning when time permits.
This place has always been a favorite of mine until last weekend. After an incident with the staff, the management handled it poorly to the point where I had to call the police. The food is great, the music is great, but the management needs some training.
Was there on a Saturday night celebrating a friends birthday. Food was good and the service was great. What I enjoyed most was the atmosphere. Live Mediterranean music from 8pm till 11pm. At 11pm, the crowd arrived and the venue changed over to a club-like atmosphere with a DJ. Very interesting crowd and the music was awesome. Found my new spot!!
The music at o lounge was very bad, it was more like a rave than a club. And the owner was super rude and impolite! I was really disappointed of the way the owner was talking and acting and do not want to spend my money at place never again. We were a group of 15 and spending more than 1k and when we asked the owner a simple question he responded in a way like he wanted to fight with us, and when we complained to him (Masoud) he told us you can leave, shocking. The other side of the club was much better, better music and at least they were nice to us and actually provided us a service. they just lost a real good customer
Nice place ! Mixed groups ! They neee to work on adding more stand out tables and chairs ! Best days to be in are in weekend! There is $ 20 entry fee. I don’t see this is needed. The leather coaches are nice but you can’t use. I like it there and it’s my usual spot.
Food should be better for this area.To pay attention to glassware and utensils to get cleaner. Restrooms are disaster. Smells bad. Dirty.Location and patio ok. Parking - you have to walk but plenty of parking spaces.
Had a horrible experience here. Came in at 12:30 for a drink because google maps said they close at 2am and i was meeting friends. When i got to the door the manager tried to turn me away and my friends had to let me in. When the manager saw me with them he tried to confront me about telling me they were closed and I politely informed him i was there with guests that already were in the building. Really terrible attitude from him. I understand if the times online are incorrect but theres a proper and respectful way to communicate that.
I will never go to that place again, my advice don’t go. Yesterday I was with a group of friends celebrating a birthday and it was a disaster. Not only for our group but many others. They charge people to reserve tables then let tons of people in who didn’t reserve until they are in full capacity. Then they prevent the people who actually reserved a table from entering claiming they have full capacity and for fire regulations. So there is no point in making reservations, because they apparently aren’t good in counting and basic math, and you will waste your time and money. I even heard people who are planning to sue for being scammed.
Update: Just went back for dinner on a busy Saturday night. Service, food, and staff was excellent. I would definitely go back as it seems like they have made serious improvements. As other reviewers have said this place tries to be everything for everyone. But first and foremost as a restaurant you should at least have the food part covered.Service was unbelievably slow. The waiter took our order and only came back once after I signaled and asked for more water. Ordered appetizers which were served with our meal. Even I know you don’t do that, should I eat my appetizer or my prime rib steak? The prime rib steak was semi-cold and edible if I’m being nice. The pasta my wife ordered looked and tasted like the pasta I make at home.Loud live music started at 8:30, could barely talk. Which would have been bearable if the food had been decent. We tried to eat our food and bounce as quickly as possible.
My daughter and I came here and had the Persian pizza, roasted brussel sprouts, and hookah (peach/watermelon)…all excellent and Luchia was a very friendly and attentive server and made our first visit even that much nicer.
Price does not match quality. Staff have attitudes. Alphonso was an awesome guy though. He deserves a raise
If you’re looking to come here, ask for Josh right away! 10/10 recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice night out. He help me has a nice night out with my friends and I give him excellent service.
Nice patio. We ordered a cocktail drink worth of 13 dollars which almost had no liquor.our waiter refused to replaced but later on we were surprised that he brought us a shot, to us to mix it. In our final bill we found a charge of liquor and when we questioned .. he was very rude that we did not order it we try talk him to voided but ,he rudely kept arguing with us , manger voided after all..the waiter was so upset of us. Food was way too expansive .we order fish of 26 dollars a dish to get a tiny slice of fish couple of tomato , later one of us ordered a drink that never received. Food so expansive for small portion .... . I d give this place 0 if there is any.
I love the food and ambiance. It’s the closest thing to Miami in Tyson’s Corner. The food is excellent. I have a huge appreciation for the veggies options they have. I highly recommend the kebobs, tuna nachos, and lime edamame. My kids really like the burgers and pizza. It turns into a club around 11 with the best club music from the 2000’s. There is no description for the clientele: wealthy, poor, old, young, every nationality, balance of women and men. The food is equally not set on a specific type of cuisine. I really love everything about it.
Came here for the first time last night. We had a great time. Our server Lily was very attentive and friendly. Great vibes and dance floor. Everyone is enjoying themselves. I definitely will return.
Worst food I have ever had! The driest most overpriced nachos. The lamb burger was overcooked and dry and was way too salty. My friend got kabobs and they had very little flavor. Also the hookah is absolute trash and it is $50!!! Yes you read that right, the hookah is $50. Service is very slow. To top it off, they automatically charge you 20% gratuity to your bill. Horrible establishment! avoid at all costs!!!!!
Great customer service and the band salsa fridays, You can also play the band on Saturdays too. Good Vibes always.
Arrived late last night with my wife to a packed restaurant. Was seated and attentively served. Really great drink menu and the food was spot on. Initially they brought my wife the wrong dish and was very apologetic it happened. Promptly brought the right dish and catered to us closely after that. We have been here for lunch a few times and loved it. First time here for supper and still enjoyed ourselves immensely. Thanks Green House.
You must pay a minimum consumption of 50 dollars per person if you ask for a table, in addition to that they charge you 20% tip... all of that is fine, also the place and the environment deserve it... the problem is that they have such bad service in the tables that you cant ask for that value... and obviously you end up paying an amount that you didnt consume... Its definitely better to go and not ask for a table.
We made a reservation for dinner online. When we walk in, the host told us there is a $50 minimum per person. While we would have spend way more than that anyway, it is embarrassing and also if that is the case, why dont they say that at the time of making the reservation. It’s just a very rude way of telling customers this right when they walk in. Terrible. The response from the restaurant says minimum spend is mentioned on the reservation website and that I overlooked it. That is NOT true and totally misleading. I went back and double checked. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. After reading restaurant’s response, I am now going to report this misleading practice / scam to BBB.
Absolutely atrocious experience. Came in on a Saturday night and had to pay 20 to get in, which is fine. Spent 25 on a passion fruit mixed drink that tasted awful and a corona, which is also fine. Sat down for 10 minutes since the place was dead and then a waitress rudely came up to my date and I and told us we have to spend 50 minimum to sit at a table that will not be used for the rest of the night?? “You’re going to have to get up” This isn’t okay, have some professionalism and ask nicely and educate people that’s the rule. Horrendous way to tell someone to pay more or leave. To top it off, dirty looks from the same waitress through the night! Never coming here again. Save your money and time, much friendlier and places out there!
The food and drink were both excellent. And our server, Alexa, was wonderful! Ive never had such attentive service from such a pleasant individual who also knew the menu inside and out. She took the time to ask us what we liked, and she made fantastic recommendations! Thank you!We made reservations for a Thursday evening and sat outside.
I made the online reservation for the lounge. Next day in the morning I got the call from the one of the girl who is working there that its $50 per person which was fine. But when i arrived with my friends they told me its $100 person. They are shady. It was over packed, over priced and service was bad. We were waiting for the server for an about hour. I would not recommend that place.
The food looks much nicer in the photo than in real life. The Charcuterie not impressed. The pizza is tasteless. The burger tasted stale and tuff. The mashed potato lacks flavor. The lentil soup is mediocre. Its so depressing.
Terrible service from bartender and manager, Ive literally never posted a negative review in my life but I also have never been so disrespected by a business either. My girlfriend and I went there for the first time, ordered food and drinks at the bar to be told we have to eat at one of the tables, fine I get it, you want to keep bar space open to sell drinks. We then go to a table as directed only to be told we cant sit there unless we pay $50 minimum per person which is fine thats easy well order more drinks. Then were told the table is reserved, oh really? Even so, that would be fine if we could be offered another place to sit but no. At that point I tell them were clearly not welcome here and walked out. We would have been happy to spend more money but were not allowed to stand at the bar and we cant sit at a table so I guess well have to leave. Good luck, I hope they get better but Im sure they dont care anyway.
This place if you dont look like you have nosey then you will get poor service. I went there the other night and the bartender did not acknowledge me for a good 15min he would serve the people that was coming up to the bar and me standing the whole time there asking for a drink never did I get my drink. I would never recommend this place to no one not even for a bit. It shouldnt matter who comes up to the bar your job is to serve the customers no just certain ones unhappy.
Overall, we had a below average experience. The food was overpriced, a little bland or over seasoned. There wasnt a happy medium. Not to mention the bathroom is far from compliant with laws for disabled folks. The wait staff was nice enough and took care of us well, but everything else... Lack luster and disappointing.
The Hookah was the best Ive ever had. Superior to the other places around here. So smooth and flavourful. I highly recommend the carribean coloda flavor.
Don’t bother to make a diner reservation, I made one a week in advance and when we got there our table was terrible, it was bad, the space was invaded by people from the next table that added chairs, ours was in a corner with view to some dud’s neck. The dude was close enough to have our anniversary dinner with us.When rejected the table the host told us that was the only table. There were plenty of tables, she told us that was the only table for two people but there was another one free in the front. She told us that one was reserved, I mean I HAD a reservation. Is there any other kind of VIP reservation I’m not aware of?Please do NOT plan to have diner at this place. We had a drink at the bar an left. The tables remained half empty the whole time we were there.
Nomi and Alvaro are just AWESOME!!! Impressively organized, personalized and courteous preparation for the 2023 New Year’s Eve party.. They both are ON IT!!We are a table of 7. No worries about any mishaps knowing that Nomi and Alvaro are handling!!
Awesome place for apps/ drinks. The owner is absolutely amazing and the staff are great! We come here on Tuesdays for tacos WHICH are only different on Tuesday for a car meet/event that happens. Super great vibes and a lot of fun. They offer hookah as well and a nice outdoor seating if you wanted to sit out there. The place is also GORGEOUS, great for cute photos with friends.Stop by, have a drink and spend some time with friends !
I went last night with my GF, and everything went well excellent music and environment. Until I realized that the waiter did fraud us with the receipt. The waiter’s name on the receipt is Alvaro S. I asked him several times to please print the receipt out, but he insisted that he couldn’t do it, but instead I could receive it via email; I finally put my email, but I wasn’t accessible at the moment. When I finally checked the receipt, I discovered he charged extra drinks to me and my GF. To us is a custom to be cautious about having the count of our requests on restaurants separately; things like that destroys the restaurant’s image. We loved the place and the environment, but thanks to this individual, me and my GF decided to avoid going there and tell our experience to our friends and relatives by suggesting thinking twice before going to Greenhouse.I hope the greenhouse takes severe action against this person.
An amazing place with the coolest environment. My pasta portion was small for the price, but my husband got the most incredible burger. Our server, who had been working for 2 days, seemed like she had been there her whole life! The staff is attentive to your needs and strive to provide you with an experience like no other. They also have an attached building that offers hookah. If youre ever in Tysons, you gotta eat here!
Been visiting this place for years and every visit is a five star experience. The place has two separate sections. One half restaurant, large bar, plenty of bar and table seating, live music, smoke free, great menu. The other side completely separate is very low smoke hooka area, dance floor, dj, high energy music, bar and some seating. It gets loud. The food is good here too. Yes, its a hooka bar, but there is very low amount of smoke. Dont be discouraged by hooka. The pleasant staff from the moment you are greated at the door, served at the bar, or served at your table are all great. Very accommodating and friendly. Plenty of parking and valet available if you do not want to walk from the parking lot. Go with a few friends and enjoy!
It can be described in one word... AMAZING! The music was excellent!! Very mixed with latin rhythms and thats what makes it special, the food pricey but very good and the service was very nice! I loved the place and my mom did too (she is the most picky person on earth). Definitely will go back!
The best thing about this place is the outdoor seating on a nice breezy afternoon or night. Service is outstanding. Those are all the pros.
Excellent vibe, I loved the music and even though it was crowded, the barman was super fast and nice. The person on the restrooms entrance was super helpful as well.Nothing, but a great experience so far!
The front bar service was awful - didnt feel welcome, very difficult to get service (wasnt busy at all), had to repeat myself for orders and to close out my tab, one order didnt come out for about 25 minutes (just an order of fries) and there was no explanation or apology for it either. Then we went to the lounge and it was WAY better. Cooler bartenders/waitstaff, friendlier service, better atmosphere. Id only come back to hang out in the lounge, not the front bar.
This is located in Tysons Corner in a very attractive arch type building and has entrance from front and parking in the back. It offers American food, tried shrimp, vegetables pizza, pepperoni pizza, and other appetizers which were very good. Drinks alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are well made. Service and kindness of staff is superb. Food is cooked in an open area visible to people if they want to watch. We were there celebrating an occation and we were given a side of the restaurant but open to all, if you dont mind others to pass your area and be in it then it is a place for your occation. They had a mexican band who were playing pretty good and the singer was very friendly and was able to announce our event celebration. Dance floor was open and done were dancing. At 9pm DJ replaced the band playing top 40 American music and we saw crowd forming and many other came for it. It was pleasant to dance on both music options. We will try them again if in area and you should do the same. Management, staff , food and ambiance were amazing all.
The fries werent cooked let alone extra crispy as I requested. Bartender just took the order, provided no feedback, alternatives, quite frankly didnt ask any questions, just took the order. Barely greeted two working professionals entering a frigid establishment. No one asked about the meal. Theyre just waiting for the night time crowd. This was my second time, I like ambiance, but the bar and some of the employees leave something to be desired!! Last time they didnt want to honor the discount by downloading their app. It was their promotion!!!! Also we were attacked by gnats!!!
Minimum 200 for 4 people. I can order only one hookah per table? The manager says “unfortunately it’s not a hookah lounge you need to order Alcohol” who said I’m not? Ridiculous and rude. Why do you care how I spend my minimum?
Atmosphere is nice, food is okay, hookah is not good ( tried 2 flavors lady killer and triple apple) waited an hour to get the hookah too so service is pretty slow
They ran out of one dish and did not notify us until 2 hrs after ordering, when we were already wondering why it was taking so long for the food to come out. Ordered a beer and reminded server multiple times; never received. All the meals arrived cold and they got one of the orders wrong. Very small portion for high price. Dance music blasting at 5pm on a Sunday; you would think it was late on a Saturday night. This place is way overrated. Would not return.
Awful brunch experience. Made a reservation ahead of time and the hostess couldn’t find the reservation when we got there. She asked me multiple times how many people were in our party and still did not have the correct number of places for us. She sat us and two other couples in our party at different tables. I had to get up and bring them over to our table. The bathrooms were difficult to find and not very clean. There were no changing tables in the women’s bathrooms so I had to leave and go to my car to change my son’s diaper. My husband’s steak in the steak and eggs was an extremely small portion (4 oz or less). The toast, English muffin, and hash browns were all burnt. One of our servers was not pleasant or friendly at all. The same server hit my child’s car seat with a high chair while my husband was carrying him on the way out. Luckily my son wasn’t injured.
I’ll start by saying, I RARELY give bad reviews. I used to come here pre Covid and always enjoyed my time here. I do like this place. Im writing this is based off service I received last night that was honestly just horrible. I mean just really appalling. I don’t think I’ve ever had service like that. Our server was Haylee. Throughout the night she neglected the women at the table, not taking orders, asking if we would like more drinks but she did make sure the guys at the table were taken care of.. on several occasions we had to get one of the guys to get her attention to order. I noticed she offered my boyfriend another drink after his drink was empty but not mine. Everyone at the table noticed she was blatantly ignoring the women. For some it was the first time they had been here and I tried to reassure them the service isn’t usually like this, it was a server issue, not a place problem. When she told us about the $50 per person we opted for the check. Some of us only wanted a few drinks. When we asked she immediately got an attitude about it. She brought the check back and I handed her the checkbook. She brought it back and handed it to one of guys across the table. I NEVER EVER leave bad tips but last night I REALLY didn’t want to even leave anything at all. I don’t know if she was having a bad night or what but if I come back I definitely don’t want her as a sever.
Worst experience I ever had on nawroz ceremony night. Except the female server all other sever were rude and mean. One of them held on my credit card without asking me. The security guard had no idea why she was standing at the front door for. She had a scanner in her hand that even couldnt scan the tickets. The other security guard inside the hallway was staring directly into the guets eyes like he wanted to fight. This place is not recommended at all.
I honestly dont believe some of these negative reviews, food and atmosphere is awesome. Valet is comp which we tipped and they have VIP also. Host was super nice when we arrived and valet was speedy and professional. Overall our groups experience was wonderful all evening until we departed. Definitely coming back!
Great place to go for dinner and dancing. The staff was very friendly and the place seemed clean. My only issue with it was the service did take a while (Im not sure if this is a norm since it was my first time here). Overall its a high recommendation.
Great service and epic ambiance. Our server Lucia was on point. We highly recommend this place, specially the out door. It feels like Miami or Dubai
This place made some big recent changes and not for the better. We went Saturday night at 945ish and there was no where to sit. Wasnt crowded yet, they just claimed that every seat was reserved. After we pushed a bit, we were told we could have a certain table. The person at escorted us to the table quickly began his sales pitch and tried to talk us into a $400 minimum just to sit down. We help our customers that have been there several times but were very disappointed. Not only that the DJ seemed like he had no clue what was going on and was speeding up songs that were good dance songs and making them so that you couldnt dance to them and was playing 2 songs on top of each other and attempting to mix the music which also made it and danceable For a club that usually has excellent music and a floor full of people dancing a lot of people were just standing around because the music sounded so bad as well you could barely distinguish what song was being played or what songs meaning to on top of each other were being played And as usual it was extremely hot and there there was no way to even get near the bar to order drinks and even when you did get up there you would stand there sometimes more than 10 minutes without even getting a look from a bartender. Thats probably our last time there. Another thing that I really dislike is the mens Room, When you open the door to the mens Room you are directly in line with a close up side shot of everybody standing at the urinal and there is absolutely zero privacy.
I love this place. The food is delicious. I’ve ordered almost everything on the menu and have not been disappointed. The Japanese Steak Bites are a must; the pizza is outstanding - my favorite is the Bianca with Prosciutto. The Basil Pesto risotto is also delicious and so is the ceviche. Drinks are really good. Their Greenhouse cocktail is one of my favorites. They also have live music and a DJ on the weekends; and they also have a lounge where you can get hookahs, table service, etc. Overall it is a great place with great food and awesome atmosphere. I definitely recommend!!
The food was excellent! However server did not attend to us well. Perhaps it was due to the fact it was a Mothers Day brunch however he would attend to other tables near us oddly enough. At the end when it came to pay I tried to split the bill and when asked about certain charges I was given an attitude! For all future customers be advised to check the bill in order to ensure you are being charge for the right item and price.
Ive held a couple of networking events for my company at Greenhouse Bistro. Ive always been pleased. The people there are very easy to work with and the service staff is very accomodating and personable. Theyve streamlined the menu over the years and my guests have always been pleased with the food weve chosen. Im presuming so because they eat everything! Great happy hour prices as well, which they have some times extended a few minutes past the end of happy hour. Nice, fresh, open space with a lively vibe. I recommend it for Northern VA companies or groups looking to offer a happy hour/reception for 10-50 people.
Fun spot for dinner, drinks, hookah and dancing. They have 2 rooms with different music and when i went Friday they had a live salsa band for a few hours. Drink prices werent too bad and they were good.
Came here for an event last weekend. Our server was very attentive. I ordered the angus sliders and seasoned fries. Prices were fair. I love that they have beers from VA! The atmosphere was nice the lounge was amazing. Plenty of parking and theres also valet.
Went to Greenhouse with my friends for a happy hour. Place is great, Luchia has been amazing helping us with our orders, very friendly, made our experience at Greenhouse great.
Fantastic ambience and food. Prices are reasonable for food and service. I have never gotten bad service here. They train their servers well and good service is reliable. . This location is excellent. The food is delicious.. Highly recommends.. Desserts and drinks are fantastic too. They have a great happy hour..Absolutely love this place!
I didnt eat the food but drinks, bar service and multiple dance venues were phenomenal. Average age of dancers was like 32 - 55, so much better for the sophisticated, mature crowd than DC clubs. Sat night I was there was Latin Mix in one room and House Pop in the other. Place is huge. Even when packed you can still dance and no spilling of drinks and sticky floors. Very International on Saturdays. Top notch night club!
Food is mediocre but really ruined my night was the rude manager. Several changes have been implemented in recent weeks at this establishment but ask why you have to keep my ID so that I can eat, he replies that this has been the policy for years. Well, I have been coming for YEARS and they have NEVER held onto my ID to eat or drink. I don’t mind a policy change but don’t LIE to your customers. Keep being rude to people and we will see how long this person owns it.
If I could give it no stars I would. Service was terrible!!! I ordered drinks and wings which took more then 50 minutes to get. Then to get the bill took more then 35 mins to get. The excuse from the manager was that because we didn’t make any reservations and due to covid. Complete bull because if I were to make reservations the food would still take long. Getting a place to sit was easy just getting foods and drinks took so long then it needed to be. Worst place ever to go.
The food is really good. Definitely worth going for lunch or dinner. Its a madhouse nightclub later at night. Everyone can appreciate the food. The crazy crowded nightclub part depends on your age and and what youre looking for. Techno & hookah large lounge room, and the rest of the venue, even more large, has a DJ playing Latin and other ethnic music. Most people are dancing.
My 1st time here on a Friday evening. I had never heard of this restaurant before. Such a hidden gem!! My girlfriends & I sat on the beautiful patio with AMAZING weather, AMAZING food, AMAZING staff, AMAZING Live band, just an AMAZING vibe all around!! We will definitely be returning!!
Started off with a Poke tuna & nachos, good amount of tuna and avocado for $15, then I had the skirt steak with asparagus and rice, Ive had more tender steaks but for $25 it was a good deal. Latino live music is okay, too fast for dancing and trying to stay on time but it was not a real salsa band, probably have to go to NY for that. Overall pretty good.
I really thought I would like this place. And wanted to. (Spoiler alert: dont let the food pics fool you.)This place has so much great potential. I find the decor to be 100%, drinks very good, food display great, but they fall short on the basics: Food taste and Service.1. The food is poor tasting: You simply CANNOT fall down here. Steaks and fish had no flavor or salt, and all over done. Meat tough and fish rubbery and dry. Rice blah. Asparagus, thick and firm, but ordinary. Only good tasting thing was the mash potatoes. And standard Italian deserts also fall short. Though looked beautiful when served, Ive had plenty better elsewhere.Coffee great but not hot enough. A guest had to drink fast to not let it get any colder.2. Service is trying, but is a joke for this or any price point: Different service people kept asking us about things we already did or had. Poor internal communication. For instance, another waiter asks if we were ready to order, after we already did. To pack food when we already did. For water when we already had that squared away. Also, waitress spilled coffees all over saucers before getting to our table and still brought to us and served --she apologized of course, but they should have been returned and redone before getting to us. It looked a hot mess.My advice:1. Make your chef season the food properly. I am a foodie and I cant and wont come back to eat because of what I experienced that night. FOOD MUST TASTE GOOD, man.2. Retrain your Service staff. Its not rocket science, but it felt like your staff failed the exams. They could be so much better and I would love to see this happen. My deductions:You do drinks better than food. I love the atmosphere that evening of sitting outside. Maybe your Italian food would be better, but dont know for sure since I didnt order it. I hear your pizza was nice but I didnt try it.Maybe you are satisfied with your Sat night crowd, but this place would so much better, even on other days, if the food was better. I am rooting for you.Note: I gave a great tip, but I would have given much more if food and service were better. I feel slighted that I paid just for atmosphere that night.
If a bartender hates his job he should just leave. Headed out to happy hour here, it took close to 20 minutes for someone to notice my girlfriend and I were trying to order a drink. Then he rolled his eyes when one of us asked for water.
It has the best menu in the area (great selection of appetizers) and the atmospher is open and airy; very metro-like but yet warm and welcoming. A good array of TVs with both indoor and outdoor seating thats very accommodating. It also has a spacious bar area. And the food is outstanding. Glad I searched and found the Greenhouse
DO NOT TIP THE BAR TENDER. I PAID MY TAB AND SHE FLIPS THE SCREEN AND FIRST THING I SEE IS THE TOTAL & PERCENTAGE FOR TIP OPTIONS SO I CUSTOM TIP AND ADD THE TIP ONLY TO FIND OUT THE NEXT DAY BY MY FRIEND WHO ALWAYS GOES THERE THAT 20% WAS ALREADY ADDED. SO BASICALLY I TIPPED ON THE TIP. I WAS SCAMMED. NEVER SAW MY FULL BILL- JUST THE TOTAL AND TIP OPTIONS WHICH IS VERY TACKY. If the owner is willing to lose his reputation and rating and allow this type of behavior to affect his business then we should all apply for a job there.
I have been going to GH for a few years now most weekends. It was a great place to dance and have fun. However that has changed. The owners apparently doesn’t want the DJs to play specific music, specially on Saturdays. On saturdays they do have this Flamenco group that only plays over and over the same songs. Bachata or salsa is not allowed to be play on Saturdays. If you beg the DJ then at their own risk they play just a bit and quickly transition in to another kind of music as they will be cut from that gig if they played bachata. Allegedly they don’t sell much alcohol when bachata music is played. Nowadays they like playing Persian/house music, which it tends to be boring as hell. It’s sad to say but they will be loosing business if this continue to be the norm. Also, they have special restrooms for the middle eastern customers (which is neat/clean/spectacular), however if you go to the regular customers restroom you will find trash all over the floor/ water all over the floor as well ( worst than walmar/McDonald’s bathrooms). Hopefully they re think this “business” strategy
OVERPRICED. Horrible wait staff. Took FOREVER to get a drink. They dont tell u happy hour doesnt apply to patio. Tiny food portions. No thanks.
The restroom 🚻 needs attention. Its not my first time being there. I have been there 3 times each time there restroom need attention. Also the females have said the same thing.
Food is fine. Food portions are more of samples. Price is average. Not too pricey not too cheap. The staff experiene is terrible. They do their best to help but it is obvious that they dont know how to wait at tables. They are not aware of their menu items and they take forever to get your order to your table. Overall experience is okay however Staff expertise is totally missing.
Although the food is good, the customer service is not the best. I was planning my moms surprise birthday celebration, where people were coming from all over the US. I called early April and put in a reservation and the manager called back the same evening to confirm. I was given no details other than see you on the 21st. One day before the reservation, someone from Greenhouse Bistro called to tell me that in order to use the private room we will have to spend more than 1,000. I was so taken back that I was being called the day before with this information. I was not in a position to talk as my mom who the surprise was for, was sitting in car next to me. The manager then went on to tell me that he would do me a favor and reduce the minimum to 800. He was very aggressive in his conversation and then he offered us a space off to the side but not in the private place. My dad agreed to this at first, but I was not happy with them not honoring their mistake of not telling me about the 1000 dollar minimum when I called in early April. We cancelled reservation and in under 6 hours found another location that was willing to work with us.
My wife and self came for the music event at their “Hookah Lounge” a few weeks back. The event was advertised as “table reservations only, with no table minimum“. Once seated, the waitress rushed to let us know that they have a $200 table minimum. Honestly, we’d probably spend that much anyways, but the idea that they approach their patrons and set these grounds didn’t sit right, so we just left. Not sure if this was coming from the owner, management or that waitress, but it was shady and wrong. Never again!
I use to go here a lot but after last night I will not return. Service is terrible. Waitress immediately asked if I was bringing more people the minute I sat down. She was extremely rude. They also lied that there is no tables outside when there was plenty. I do not recommend this place to anyone. They just want large groups to spend money at their horrible service restaurant.
Food, drinks and desert were great, staff would rather die than smile at you.Shesha tested so good,
Great spot to hangout with friends. Service was great. Luchia was our server, she was exceptional, very pleasant and patient.
Fantastic venue for events! The indoor/outdoor space was lovely, especially on a day with nice weather. The staff was very kind and attentive. Food was delish. Everything was perfect! I highly recommend Greenhouse for private events. Additionally, its a great place to bring the family for dinner or meet up with friends for drinks. Cannot say enough good things!
Great food. The hookah was the best and ambiance in the place made it super enjoyable our server luchia was so delightful!!
