This morning my massage therapist Michaela worked wonders on my back with a deep tissue massage. Perfect pressure, great communication, and all around professionalism. Would recommend Michaela for anyone needing a great deep pressure massage!
Worst company with most unprofessional staff I have ever seen. Asked to change a service but was told I cannot and will be charged the total amount. Requested the policy stating those rules but none of them could find their policy book. Asked to speak to the GM but said I could not speak to him. Asked for a supervisor but was told it would be another 1 hour before the person came in. Receptionist and lead therapist were very rude . Eventually, the receptionist brought out the Wellness benefit document for subscribers (see attached) and said that was the policy for cancellation; but couldnt show me the policy for non-members. Even the one brought out for subscribers does not have the condition for my request.Nevertheless, I was charged for service not rendered (i.e., no massage) despite asking to change or cancel it. Company pledges commitment to friendliness and professionalism but do not adhere to that in any shape or form. Please stay away from this scam of a company.
Its so worth it. The cost can be high but everything is now a days. Self care is important, not just for yourself but the whole family would benefit from self care.
UPDATE: Still using this location. Currently on my second year of membership for monthly services. Toi is my go-to for facials. She has worked wonders for my skin and has an awesome personality. Mary, Tracey, and Gloria are all great massage therapists and offer top-tier relaxation. The front desk staff is always welcoming. The shelf products offered are on the expensive side, but they make polite suggestions and arent pushy for purchases, which I truly appreciate.
After a few years of writing this original review…ownership changed a few years ago and things have improved significantly. New great therapists have been there for a while and they are very skilled and experienced. After a few turn over of front desk representatives, all good ones stayed! I enjoy returning regularly.(Gave 1 star) Customer service from front desk agents are not always professional. They would not take an extra step to help me reschedule my appointments when I called to cancel, which were made more than 3-4 weeks in advance. Being in retail, I never know my schedules that far advance. They told me that my therapist stopped his practice as a therapist and they had to cancel my appointments. Found out that he just quitted there for better opportunities. So they are spreading lies to ruin their former employees’ careers?!? I called to report that to a manager who didnt care about it at all. Probably I just cancel my membership since I couldn’t make any appointments with my preferred therapists even they know app was not quite accurate for booking. They can’t keep good employees at front desk. I found out a few of my trusted therapists left as well. Totally mismanaged. Yes, I was a former employee and cared about this store, so I became a member after I resigned. It seems like it’s a huge mess now.

I have had a membership here since February. My esthetician Danielle is excellent! She is taking such great care of my problem skin. My skin feels like it did before i started having skin issues 40+ years ago. I didnt think it was possible, but Danielle really knows skin and how it works, which is essential to skincare. She is so sweet and geniunely cares about her clients. I am so thankful for her. Massage Envy-Waco truly has a gem in Danielle. Elsa and Ashley, who work customer service at the front desk, are thorough, personable, and knowledgeable. i really appreciate them. Jocelyn, who also works at the front desk, IMO, needs more knowledge as to how customer service works. She is quick to shove you off onto the companys app and no eye contact. really takes away from the whole experience Massage Envy works to convey.
I hate to say I was very disappointed. I was there a year ago and had an awesome massage. Even though, this girl had been doing massages for 2 years, and I was very surprised that I had to explain what I needed in so many different ways, everything I asked her to focus on, it seemed as if she did the opposite. I tried to be as specific as possible about my needs but could not make it through 10 minutes before I had to get up and go somewhere else. To top it off the manager decided that it was me with the issue and not the massage therapist. Maybe Im wrong but I always thought you should try to empathize with your customers. There was none of that. The one-star Im giving them is for the wonderful massage I had over a year ago. I really hope this constructive feedback will help Massage Envy train their therapist and managers and this place can be wonderful again.
The front desk was very nice and great with communication, however the therapist that I had did not listen to my requests at all. I scheduled a deep tissue massage. I requested multiple times throughout my massage that she lighten up because she was hurting me. She lightened the pressure for a few seconds but immediately went back in with heavy heavy pressure. I went to massage therapy school and she did everything in deep tissue that I was told NOT to do. It felt more like a sports massage (very quick pace and pokey). Deep tissue should be slow and broad. My body was incredibly tense the entire time and that wasn’t enough of a hint that I was in pain (as well as me verbally saying that it was too much multiple times). I left with multiple bruises that formed the next day and a lot of soreness. It’s been two weeks and I still have a lot of pain in my back and even my hands (she put an elbow into my palms and tried to pop my fingers despite them not popping).I know that everyone has their preferences, but unless you have a seriously high tolerance for deep deep DEEP pressure, do not get a massage with Tabitha. I also recognize that therapists have their preferences with modalities, but they also need to be flexible and adapt to what their clients need.
Ive been a member for 6 months and have had good experiences with each massage therapist and staff member Ive interacted with. My massage today with Pete was the best I may have ever had. The firm pressure was perfect and he was committed to resolving the problem areas in my neck and shoulders. Thank you!
I had a deep tissue massage with Pete. He is amazing! The best massage I have ever had. He worked so hard and definitely found the problem spots! Highly recommend Pete if you have really tight muscle issues.
Updated review. The Front desk employees are sweet, the therapist are good, but no one ever stays. I have sent multiple emails for appointments canceled because the therapist is no longer there. Out of the last 3 appointments I had, 2 were rescheduled and I canceled my membership because you could never get In at a convenient time. They even canceled one of my appointments and the manager argued with me I didnt have any credits. Come to find out they never took me off of the book where they canceled ME FOR August 4th. They lost another therapists. Guess what? no appointments available so you lose you credits. I emailed corporate multiple times including the emails from The (Waco) manager. They stated 3 times already they were emailing the Franchisees to let them know of my experience they would be reaching out. Well 8 weeks later 3 emails and nothing. Just give me a refund of my last session. Its sad because I had 3 friends join after I did becuase it was good 3 years ago. They all canceled their membership too because they could no longer get the same therapist or a convenient time. Hopefully, the Franchisees see this and gets descent management that does care for their business as it were their own.
Received a facial here from Danielle. She is very knowledgeable and knows what your skin needs before you even tell her. It was a really relaxing and comfortable experience. If you are needing a skin boost or are in need of a break I recommend booking an appointment with Danielle. She will change your skin for the better and make you feel relaxed while doing so.
If I could rate less then a star I would. The scheduling is awful. I have been rescheduled multiple times for several appointments. I was scheduled with a therapist on her day off as well and was called told I need to reschedule. I was also called and told my therapist resigned and I went in and she was scheduled for my husband. Truly the worst scheduling I’ve ever had to deal with. Also, I was told that because my husband put his account on hold due to being gone for work that I would physically have to bring his atm card into them to prove I had authority to use his card as it was the card on file. Absolutely ridiculous
I wanted to love it. I have a lot of issues with my back/hips. I live with chronic pain. However, the therapist never once moved past my shoulders. Not once did she touch my lower back or hips. I paid for a full body massage - and only received my neck and shoulders. Im giving 3 stars because she was at least good in the area she did work on. But she never once focused on the area I asked her to. Im highly disappointed.
This was my first time visiting Massage Envy. The massage therapist was great, and she focused on my problem areas (neck and shoulders). I felt very comfortable and relaxed. The only thing I hate about using chain massage places is the constant pressure to add more to the massage or purchase a membership. I know the company probably makes employees ask customers about memberships and persuade them to do another appointment, but I came to relax, not talk about finances. Otherwise, I enjoyed the massage - which is what I came for.
Massage Envy is an Awesome place; the customer service is great. They make me feel welcome which adds to my whole spa day experience. I have been a member of Massage Envy for over 10 years, needless to say when they opened the location in Waco I was over the moon. They haven’t disappointed; I have been going there the last 5 years; the massages are relaxing and very beneficial for me; it helps relieve my muscles spasms.I enjoy the facial; my aesthetician’s fabulous! she really knows and understands skins; I feel blessed I found someone who actually identifies concern areas before you have mentioned them and has recommendations to help.I feel like a new woman after each visit.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MASSAGE ENVY for you SPA needs.
Massage therapist TJ and Erica were great. However, I went in to use my last credits since canceling my memership and just was so very saddened by Massage Envys business practices. No regrets in my decision after this morning. Customer satisfaction is not a concern at all at this establishment.
I would give them 0 stars if I could. Let’s start with the amount of time they’ve canceled our service last minute due to sick employees, limited staff, etc. I called today 1/23 because I was on my way to get myself and my son tested for COVID. I was VERY bummed to miss my facial as I was looking forward to it. But I of course don’t want to risk someone getting sick. I asked to transfer it to my mom and they said no and I would be charge 50% of the service! I was very upset because I was trying to get the service covered and we have so many credits I’m not sure why we couldn’t transfer to her since I never transferred a credit to her.After trying to talk to a man named Brian he was not understanding what I was saying. He was so rude , hung up on me and when I tried to call back he was denying my calls. I AM A PAYING CUSTOMER!!!!! I’ve never felt so disrespected in my life. I will be getting a full refund for any credits I have and NEVER GOING BACK!!!!!

EDIT: Changed from 1 star to 3 because the two managers eventually went far out of their way to fix the issue that happened. But in general, the front desk girls have kind of an attitude issue which Ive seen on a few occasions. This place is supposed to be a place of relaxation, and my experience that one night was 100% stressful.Absolutely awful service! I was charged extra for a service I was not told would be extra, nor was it explained to me it would be extra. When the mix up happened at the front desk they called the manager. The front desk girl told me I would not be charged at that time and a manager would call me with additional details. Not 5 minutes after I left the charged me ANYWAY! Without even notifying me. I called them and asked why they had charged me and they said the manager told them to just charge it. I highly do not recommend this place nor getting their massage package. Stay far away.
My pregnant wife had an appointment for 9:00am but was canceled due to their masseuse being late. They tried to reschedule and give her a free facial for 1:00 PM but living an hour away made this difficult. She left upset but to our surprise the owner called and said they would give her a free massage if she was willing to come back at a later date. Thank you Massage Envy!! This says a lot about customer service, the owner was very polite and apologetic, she cant wait!!
Love this location! They are so friendly and welcoming as soon as you walk in, they remember you and greet you by name! Every therapist I have had here has been phenomenal and exactly what I needed, before my first session they took the time to get to know what I needed so now I am paired with the right person every time. I would recommend this place to any of my friends! If you havent visited this place yet I really would, you wont regret it.
They cannot deliver the services but hold you to a 1 year agreement. Very few appointment outside of normal working hours. If they have to cancel due to staff leaving and you cant fit into their schedule, they still charge you for that month. Be reasonable, if you cant deliver the service, dont hold people hostage for a year.
Highly recommend receiving a massage/treatment at this Massage Envy location! The massage therapists and staff are friendly, professional and experienced. Steve did a wonderful job applying trigger point therapy to my back, neck and shoulders. He also took the time to listen to me and implement what I wanted as the customer. 5/5 stars!
Its my first time in here and carla was great. I wasnt doing to good but as the massage was going there was always communication and when i told her how I felt and where my problems were she went into those areas and now I feel way better. Thinking of going back in 3 weeks. She is awesome!!!! I rarely write reviews. I recommend it.
The staff are always friendly and the spa is always clean. I have really tight muscles in my back from sitting at a computer all day. Bobby has helped my back feel much better. If you need a deep tissue massage, he is a great therapist to go to.
I have been a member with Massage Envy Waco for a few years and have seen multiple providers over that time period. Bobby is my absolute favorite. He is incredibly knowledgeable with all the names and origins and insertion points of all the muscles and also does a beautiful job releasing the tension from the angry ones. I am not one to ever ask a therapist to lower their pressure level but Bobby is capable of pushing me to that point which is exactly the type of recovery I am looking for. 100% recommend him for heavier pressure/deeper tissue work.
It took me 3 visits to find the right person for me. But now I have a person that is awesome. They are very friendly at the desk. And any type of problems and they try to take care of it right away.Update 11/05/19, Im no longer with Massage Envy. They had some employee problems. Lets just leave it as that.
I had a session yesterday with Christina and she was amazing! The pressure was perfect. She focused on all the areas that I needed. I left feeling rested and rejuvenated. The whole atmosphere was welcoming, I can’t wait to book my next session!
I’ve been to many Massage Envy locations, and I just had the worst experience today with my facial. I was booked for a 7:45 PM facial and kept getting calls asking if I could come in earlier during the day. I told them I could not come earlier. Then when I arrive, I find out they have switched my esthetician, and the lady at the front desk says I was told this was why they wanted me to come in early. I was scheduled with Briana and got Aliyah instead. Not what I wanted but oh well, can’t do much at this point. I walked in the door at 7:48 PM. Aaliyah finished the facial at 8:30 PM instead of the standard 8:40 PM my 7:45-8:45 60 minute facial should last until. I did not see her when I walked out of the room so when I got to the front and was asked how my facial was, I said it had been cut short. The lady at the front said they clocked me in at 7:51, so my facial was cut short. In my 6 years of membership living in different locations, no one has ever cut short the session on the back end if you were late on the front end. But she seemed to start realizing I was right and had been cut short and was empathetic. However, then another lady came out to the front desk and was completely argumentative and said I was “10 minutes late” (which was over exaggerating since her associate had just looked at the computer and said I was clocked in at 7:51) and so I wasn’t going to get the full session. I will never get a facial with Aliyah again. And I may not return to this massage envy location.
My husband and I visited Massage Envy about four months ago. The atmosphere of Massage Envy - Waco was peaceful, the front desk staff was helpful, and the therapist were great. I was wanting a deep tissue massage, and I finally was able to find someone who applied enough pressure for me to consider it deep. I would definitely recommend this location to family and friends and my husband and I will be going back soon.
Today I would like to share my thoughts on my recent visit to Massage Envy in Waco, TX. After weeks just trying to get an appointment, I finally found one. Prior to the massage, I selected focus areas on the tablet. I added a muscle cream which I discovered later wasnt. I was greeted by my massuer Bobby who didnt tell me where to set my items, than moved them and I dont like anyone handling my things. Following this, he asked me to undress and there was an awkward pause as he didnt leave until he got the hint I wanted privacy. When he returned we spoke about key areas and the massage begin. We made brief conversation than I stopped cause I was trying to relax. The initial pressure was too much so I told him to go down a bit. Imagine going to a massage for a trigger point and it barely being hit. I specifically requested glutes as I drive a motorcycle and sit a lot. He spent the majority of our time on the shoulders and neck. I specified glutes, lower back, and feet. When he got to the glutes, he used draping which was both uncomfortable and not deep enough to really do anything. Any athlete can tell you if you dont physically massage glutes directly not through a blanket, it wont do much. The level of unprofessionalism here was present. Anyone who Ive asked for the service before in the city typically go under the draping to perform the massage correctly. You can still have private areas tucked and it not be uncomfortable. Those are strong muscles and just hitting a bit does nothing. The foot massage was rushed. Reflexology can be so calming when done properly, but it was literally brush strokes not an actual massage. I was than asked to turn over and at first the pressure over the chest was ok but than he begin doing an odd technique Ive never seen. Ive had my ears touched before in stretching or something where the arms go across but at one point he literally pushed my literal face up almost striking me in the left eye which is still throbbing as I write this review. I dont know exactly why he spent so much time on the arms and face, because it wasnt an area I asked. Following the massage after he stepped out, I assessed the situation. I knew Ill most likely have a bruise or two from it being deep but my eye pain hadnt subsided. I briefly spoke my concerns to a manager about an incomplete massage with the glute but being pressed for time, I didnt go into every detail of my visit. I would like the actual owner to reach out to me or corporate. The payment was via a promo giftcard and even though I wasnt happy, I wasnt offered a redo, to reschedule, or anything. I didnt feel comfortable and I was told I can stop the massage, but I also didnt feel in control either. The overall experience was really bad and Ill be seeking other spas in the future. Im kicking myself a bit as they initially told me Pete was the best for what I needed but booking him or anyone was near impossible, which is so unusual during a pandemic. I cleared the virus in November but I felt like the safety protocols were good by commercials, social media, etc. I do everything in my power to avoid reinfection. What I went through though is one of those moments you feel at a loss. To be frank, I felt better before the massage. I put a lot of trust into this person and I felt attacked mind you me going in from trauma related to a car accident. Thank you for reading my review.
I received a gift card for Massage Envy and was in dire need of a massage.The process of looking for availability on the website and getting a hold of the front desk were both great and went smoothly. I did have an issue getting in, between my schedule and their availability for a prenatal.I wasnt happy that my appt was at 8 and I arrived early enough to finish paperwork before 8 and ended up sitting until 8:05 to be taken back. It was almost 815 by the time the massage started.So I showed up to wait to be taken back, until after my appt was supposed to start. To me an appt at 8am means Im on the table ready to start at 8am. All other places Ive been to, have done it that way.My massage therapist also wouldnt give me any pressure, she wouldnt work on my sciatica, and would work on my feet, but with again little to no pressure. She said it was all bc I was pregnant, but Ive had plenty of prenatal massages where they were a lot firmer with me than she was and theyve worked on all the places I asked.She also ended the session 10mins before my 90 mins were up. Also keep in mind she took me back late and started at 815. So really out of a 90min session, I got 65mins. Might as well have gone for a 60minute.Needless to say for their pricing and the way they jip you out of your 10 mins before and after. I wont be returning unless I receive another gift card. I paid the difference for a 90min to leave feeling like not much was done.I ended up going to another company in Hewitt, Tranquil Body Care, a week later. There, they gave me the pressure I desired and the full 60mins I paid for.
I have had such an awesome experience at Massage Envy Waco. I had gotten into a car accident a few months ago and the massage therapists there have really helped me out (David and Sheri are who I have seen). The whole place is so clean, peaceful & relaxing. All the staff are great, very friendly. Thanks again for the help-- my pain is really being reduced through massage!

The front desk workers at Massage Envy are the BEST. They are always so nice and so respectful. They always treat me like a king. David my therapist is great too. I would highly recommend Massage Envy Waco.

Member since 4/17. Only recently had issues. Booking averages 2 (single) to 5 weeks (couples) out.Went for couples massage today with husband. I took my mom for one about a month ago. We were greeted and told he had to fill our more paperwork (they never spell his name right and enter him as a new person. Lol) we had our massages. They tried again (also happens everytime) for him to sign up and stop piggybacking on my membership. When we declined, we were informed for the first time ever. that I am only allowed to transfer 1 point per 6 months.Charged us $55 for his should be $10 appt. Theives. Cancelling out asap.
We had a few issues with appointments and when we found a massage therapist that was awesome they would leave. We liked the fact you could use it at any location (which we utilized). Staff was friendly but didn’t seem like they stuck around long.
The staff at this location have gone above and beyond in regards to their customer service and attention to detail for each client. I have had the privilege of visiting the spa numerous times and I have had a top notch experience every time and I have taken advantage of massage and facial services all over the world. I would recommend them to anyone that is looking for the best massage and facial you can find.
I had my first pre-natal massage (8 months pregnant) and it was great!!! I didnt want to go home as I was feeling so relaxed. Everyone at the spa was so helpful and nice and I cant wait to go back after I have my baby!
I have been going to Massage Envy for several years. I have tried multiple massage therapist and I have been very pleased with Pete. Pete is now my go to everytime. I suffer from migraines and TMJ. He has taken the time to educate me on things I can do at home to help elevate the pain. His technique is top notch. I also have had facials and chemical peels. Rashelle is a wonderful esthetician and educated. Can not forget Kimla at the front desk, great customer service!
Would give no stars if I could! The therapists are great! The company is a scam! They tell you one thing and then the next it changes. The prices also very depending on whos working. Was told my massage was gonna be $23 because I had a half credit and was charged $34. There is absolutely no consistency. Save yourself the stress and GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!

This is my third time going in for a “60 minute facial” it always ends up being 30-40minutes at best. They stop 10 minutes before to give you time to get dressed then 5 mins in the beginning to get undressed and another 5 minutes getting “ready” for the actual facial.
If youre going to get a massage in Waco, get Bobby to be your massage therapist. Im pretty picky about my massages; I like a deep massage that really works out the knots in my shoulders/back. Bobby totally works out those knots and really helps overall. Hes super nice, professional, and just a really great massage therapist. I highly recomend!
First time at this establishment because we just moved to this area, but a long time member. The staff is very friendly and my masseuse was lovely. The front was clean and inviting, so was the room I was in. A very pleasant experience.
The therapists seem very much like beginners. Twice Ive paid extra for foot scrub, and they literally put it on and wipe it off with a towel (different therapists) and nothing else.Theyre friendly and its clean but disappointing quality of service.

Horrible customer service. I recently discontinued my membership with four massages still on my account. I was going to give them away as Christmas presents but because I closed the account they refused to transfer them. I am extremely disappointed. Please do not go there, go to hand and stone instead.
Had a 9 a clock appt did t get to the back until 9:15 and they stopped at 9:55. So I paid for 1 hr massage and got 40min. Besides that it was pretty good.

OMG, this is the most pleasant place to step into, in Waco TX. The staff at the front door is very inviting, they welcomes me with a smile all the time, they make me feel so happy to come, they set a peaceful atmosphere before my massage. Recently had a wonderful massage with Davonna. This was my third massage with her and she is doing a great job helping me recover from a shoulder surgery and frozen shoulder. She knows what she is doing and does it very well.
Would have been a worse review since the therapist didnt show up for the original appointment but management rescheduled and upgraded to a 90min at no extra cost. Staff we met were very courteous and professional.
The 2 massages I got were great, but with my work schedule it is difficult to schedule way ahead and I have not been able to schedule a same day or usually even a next day massage when I call in at opening time. Good for their bottom line but not very helpful our the customer
I am a healthcare provider and often develop neck pains owing to my job! I recently moved to Waco- tried 3 other places and then finally tried Masssage Envy...I must strongly recommend Karla for the massage ..she has taken care of my neck and back pain with deep tissue massage and she is very pleasant...been to this location 4 times now, and everytime have been happy! Highly recommend Karla at Massage envy and a massage therapist
Would give a zero but you can’t. Tell them to cancel your monthly charge they tell you to come in and sign paperwork you go in they tell you they will email it. Than it takes several phone calls to finally get it mean time they hit your bank account for another monthly change
Bobby is a great masseuse, especially if you need trigger point tension relief. He communicates and adjusts easily to you responses. The staff is always smiling and very helpful.

Went here for my first ever facial . The atmosphere was very relaxing. The service was amazing and the staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful !

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR A MEMBERSHIP! They will REFUSE to cancel your membership when you ask and will repeatedly charge the card on file. Class action lawsuit going on against them now regarding this reoccurring issue.
60 minute session is a bit pricey but then they hook you with reduced price for a membership.

Do they do maternity massages? If so, how good was it? Im 36 weeks and really need one.
I am a member and can not ever get in at times that are convenient for me. Been paying almost a year and used the service once. Definitely not worth it!!!

Had a general massage, it was for a trial membership. It was okay.
Waste of time. They were twenty five minutes late and then rushed me out the door 10 minutes early.
Received a sports massage, and I must say my body definitely felt better.
Worst customer service, didnt even make it to the message and can already tell you I will never book an appointment with them again.
