Amazing, incredible, marvelous, wonderful, there are so many ways to describe happy head from the customer service to the massage the front receptionist down to the massage therapist. Felt so welcomed when coming in and got set up quickly so glad I called to make sure they had time and they did and got accommodated to how I’d like my massage and they did not miss a spot I felt so relaxed after 12/10 would love coming back to have Lee work his magic again not to mention how clean the place is kept felt so nice due to past massage places that I had horrible experiences at but this is perfect and with all the locations around San Diego I’m glad I have a place I know I will be greeted with a warm welcome and will have an amazing massage !

I had the most amazing massage at Happy Head Bonita near the Plaza Bonita Mall. My massage therapist was named Lisa. She has the strongest hands and a great technique; not just rushing and moving he hands around but intentional and knows the exact points of where to work the muscles and body. I can tell she is trained well and I highly recommend her! The cusotmer service from the front desk lady named Lucia was exceptional. She was very kind and accommodating. I got a drop tissue with Sofia.It was a great combo of deep and pressure.Definitely what I needed.

When I first came here I had a great deep tissue massage from Luis. He has since left so I had to try someone new. The next massage I had wasn’t great, but I thought I’d give them one more try. The receptionist was helpful and recommended Levi who did a good job. If you like a strong massage I recommend requesting him or asking the receptionist who they recommend.

I will for sure comeback but... not going to wear a hoodie on anymore but a sleeveless shirt. Im a new comer and wasnt aware that Im not going to have my own private room (they do have a private room but you have to pay an extra charge) whenever I go to have a professional massage from somewhere else, I always have my own room without paying extra charge. This one was a first, so I werent able to take all my clothes off because there are other customers and therapists in that room. Because of Wendy, my massage therapist, she gave me a wonderful and relaxing head to toe massage and made me wanna come back. It could be 5 stars if i have a room just for myself.

I often have upper back and shoulder pain due to years of playing sports and working at a desk. Some days the pain is awful and others not so much. I decided to book a Swedish massage to try and loosen up the areas in my shoulders. On the day of my massage my back and shoulders were not hurting me and I was looking forward to some needed relaxation. I will say that the place was clean and inviting and the staff was very helpful. However, by the time I left my 90 minute massage, and in the days following, my back and shoulder hurt like never before. I booked the Swedish as it was advertised as non-deep tissue and more for relaxation purposes. I had asked my therapist during the session to ease up, more than once, only for the pressure to be the same. As a therapist I would expect for them to be able to read body language, but as much as I wiggled around, took deep breaths and shook off certain techniques the therapist did not get the point. After the massage was over the therapist did hand me a water on the way out and stood there until I handed over a tip, which I was not planning to leave after my experience; however, they give you an envelope before hand to place the tip in once the massage is over. If you are looking a solution to a sore body, run for the hills and go anywhere but here unless you want to hurt worse afterwards. Hands down the worst massage I have ever had and $130 I have ever spent.

The massage was great! They always find the tension! I felt so relaxed afterward. AJ did a great job! The only reason I gave 3 stars it because they need an area to just lay and enjoy the feeling. I always feel like one needs to get up and get out. I will definitely go again!

Loved the massage. The receptionist was friendly and kind. As for the facility & rooms the whole place is very clean, peaceful and relaxing inside. The therapist I had gave me such a good massage I didnt want it to end and want to go back again very soon. Wow 1 hour was definitely not enough. I will get more time next time I am in town.

Hello - last week I had the worst experience here. I have been going to this location for a while (years), have even referred and taken family and friends and no complains UNTIL last week. I had really bad back pain and my husband scheduled for me to go in at a 7pm appt with a female therapist AND FULLY PAID FOR IT (receptionist was super helpful and nice to help him get a same day appt).As I am parking at 6:50 pm for my appt I get a call that my appt has to be moved and I would have to wait until 7:30 because MANAGEMENT decided to fit their people in and take my spot - IT HAD TO, not even if I could change it ---- ALL because Management has a preferred group party that they decided was more important that any other customer.I understand 30 min wait is not a big deal for some but I drove for 25 minutes plus having to wait another 30 (IN PAIN) all because they preferred someone else AND when I had an appt? I would more understandable if it was due to an employee being sick or an emergency but because of PREFERENCE??? UNACCCEPTABLE!Unfortunately because of my pain I took it so bad and I left home crying, frustrated and annoyed. This place has not only lost a loyal customer but will not send anyone to a place where they dont treat ALL customers as priority.Management - You need to do better than this, learn customer service ethics.Lastly, I felt awful for the receptionist that had to do your dirty work and call me to pass the message.

My first time here the place is very nice and clean however, there are a few things I wish wouldve been different. The towel used to cover my eyes smelled like pure bleach! Im glad it was clean but I just couldnt with the smell of that and other cleaning supplies that were being used at the moment since it was close to closing time. I was look to leave relaxed and instead I left with a chemical headache. The lady that gave me my massage seemed upset every time I asked her nicely to please massage harder I mean Im here for a massage not just here to have runny lotion applied. Hopefully if theres a next time its a better experience.

Don’t waste your money, the male therapists are lazy with their technique even though I request the ‘best’ ones every massage. The front desk girls are more worried about their nails than customer service.

My wife and I made a same-day appointment for a couples massage and they were able to accommodate us without any problem. Since it was our first time here we opted for the $55 Happy Head massage (head, shoulders, arms, neck, and back) which was 1 hour. The environment was relaxing enough in my opinion and the staff was friendly, however, it seems that many of them dont speak English very well. That being said, my masseuse was very experienced with strong hands to work out the knots in my shoulders. We came out very relaxed and refreshed. One thing that caused me to remove 1 star is that when finished the masseuse stands at the entrance expecting a tip, which is a bit awkward and should be reconsidered by management. Aside from that it was a great experience and well be back when we need to relieve some tension.

Today we had a party of 5 getting massages together . Charlene the manager , and the young lady running the front desk tonight went above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable! They did a fantastic job.April was my masseuse. I thought she did a good job. But I still miss my Nicole! Hopefully she will come back one day.

My husband and I chose to get the couples massage, they were very good at having openings however they seemed a little too rough while trying to get the knots out. It was overall a decent massage. I did not like how they stood outside the door and waited for their tip, and then when i approached them to give them their tip, they had the most annoyed look on their faces like $5 wasnt enough.

This place is so awesome! The decor is cute, you can get same day appointments and the price is fair. Ive been a few times and they really know how to find those knots and work them out. Only downside they dont speak English very well so you have to tel the receptionist how much pressure you want and what areas youd like them to focus on. But they really know what there doing.

I give this place a 3 star simply because the masseuse that took care of me had really rough hands.I came in w a very painful lower back. I was hoping the massage would alleviate some of the pain.The girl at the front desk was super helpful and friendly. I REALLY appreciated her explanation of the services. The atmosphere was pretty great too. Really relaxing.The masseuse did an okay job. Maybe I didnt enjoy it as much due to the pain but those hands... were soo dry and cracked. Even with the oils being used, I could feel every crevice on those hands. I wish i would have enjoyed it but i just left feeling the same if not worse. So disappointed.

Monica, the normal massage therapist is no longer employed there. The new that I had was scared to touch me. I paid for deep tissue it was more like a Swedish massage. I guess I will try a different location. I been going there for a couple years and this was my worst experience.

I had the worst experience ever here. The masseuse used entirely too much pressure, making what should have been a relaxing massage an extremely painful experience. I didn’t say anything to the receptionist immediately afterwards, because generally I try not to be “that person” that causes a scene over a bad experience. However, later that night I noticed massive bruises all over my back, where the masseuse had been particularly rough. I called the next morning to express my dissatisfaction, concerns, and request a refund, but the unhelpful manager informed me that since I didn’t complain day-of and throw a tantrum, she couldn’t refund me. She offered no solutions and expressed no regret, and ultimately handle the situation very poorly. The masseuse used a horrible amount of pressure & there was nothing relaxing about the experience. My back is now covered in bruises, and instead of feeling pampered and relaxed, I’m completely sore and in pain. Happy Heads Management could not care less, which shows me they have no respect for their customers. Apparently they would have liked it better if I had thrown a tantrum in the store, in front of their waiting customers. Lesson learned I guess: more tantrums, way less Happy Heads

I have been here many times and the last 2 times I have been here were terrible. The lady did not even massage well and she was very rough for a Swedish Massage. She did not use much cream and the massage was dry. She also would grab my skin and pinch almost.I hate having to gamble and expect a good massage. Horrible experience yet again. Sports Arena location is a lot better in my opinion.

This place is amazing, I have came here multiple times.However, this last time that I was there, my car was towed. I didn’t know there were 1hr parkings at this plaza. And worst this place didn’t know either, I wish they had told me.If you are planning in getting the 90 minutes massage you better watch out where you park.I wish they had told me, now I have to pay 350 and make an appointment to get my car back the same day.This plaza is ripping customers, there are some people that apparently are security guards, but they are only spying on customers and calling the towing company.I’m very sad this happened because I was a long time client of this plaza.

My 2 kids and I just had a really good massage but I give it a 2 because of the massage therapist my son had. When I my son walked to him and gave him a tip he started laughing and said something in his language to another massage therapist. There were other customers there and saw how he laughed and that was very very rude. I love this place and scheduled as soon as I found out it was opened again but I wont be going back. That massage therapist should know better than to laugh at a kid, very disappointed.

My fiancee and I used to go here all the time. Most of the therapists were good, a few were really good, and a few were meh. We probably went at least twice a month for a year. Then a couple of months back I got a man who was completely incompetent, pushed directly on my spine as hard as he could, and hurt me quite badly. When we complained to the front desk staff they assured us that management would be in contact to try and make amends. Ive given them quite a lot of time and...nothing. These people may hurt you a lot and they wont give a damn.

I enjoy a monthly massage at the Happy Head and this location has got to be my favorite. The front desk team is so welcoming and organized even with how busy it gets there. The CBD add on is a must, it left me feeling so relieved and relaxed , i had to buy some to take home because i’m addicted. I can’t understand why you would go anywhere else ! If you’re looking for a quality massage in a clean and relaxing environment without the spa prices , definitely go to happy head in Chula Vista. And ask for the therapist Mandy or Fred (they are my personal favorites) and don’t forget the CBD !

If you have never had a message this is the place to go. Awesome staff explains your message, oils and what to expect. They always ask what your needs are, rooms smell good, lights low and music soothing. Make reservation and make sure you state your preference of a messus. If you love your message make sure to tip them. You can also request them for next time, such a stress reliever

Im always satisfied when I leave this place. Everything is clean and the staff is friendly. In my experiences everything is always professional. I often bring family and friends with me. They accommodate everyone but when I bring more than one person, I usually make appointments.

I came into Happy head for the first time and it was the best start to a day off. I strongly recommend any one that needs a great soothing massage to come in to this location and get a 90 minute swedish. After my visit i felt like a noodle (literally) but maaaan i was a STRESS FREE NOODLE. two thumbs up Happy Head !!

Walked out feeling exactly how I did when I walked in. I requested a certain masseuse I heard the two of them talking about the person I wanted in the beginning then I go to the room and its someone else. Apparently the massuse do not speak English ( although I had a full on conversation with the person and even asked me if the pressure was okay) so you need to tell the front before you go to get your massage and specific body parts that need focused on. I did so went into the room got the wrong massasue and got another one whom I didnt request during them switching they didnt give the other masseuse my specific request of what I wanted focused on during the massage. Then when I went back in it was a blame game and them saying there was misconfusion. Which is incorrect as some things they left out like, not mentioning the person wasnt available and also didnt mention my request during the massasue switch.I also dislike how they have the massasue staring at you while your ready to leave to give them a tip makes you feel like your forced to very rude... You should never expect a tip.

It was very painful. Had the asian fusion for him and the swedish message for myself. I am familiar with how their should be pain after knots have been worked out but this isnt that pain. We didnt need our bones messaged. The establishment was clean and they accommodated our short request for a message but my best advice is if you have found a good message therapist here ... only ask for that one with an appointment. Dont take the risk as a walkin.

Me and my hubby got the 90minute asian style body and foot reflexology with light moisturizing massage oil, it was really great they actually massage our whole body focusing on the foot ofcourse and even when it says on their website that theyll do massaging o face, head, neck and shoulder only, they went above and beyond and got the knots on back and shoulders, my hubby absolutely love it and really wanted to tip more but too bad we didnt have enough cash on us but prolly next time well bring more cash with us.

Expecting a tip as you come out is what I DO NOT like about this place. It should be up to the client depending on how good the experience was. And no matter how much you tip, misuse always make a face making it seem like its not enough.
