Woodhouse Spa - Gainesville

After a long work weekend, a spa day to Woodhouse was just what I needed. I’ve never been there before and it was everything and more. All the staff was super friendly and made sure I was well relaxed. The champagne was delicious and so were the snacks! Matt was my masseuse and really made sure to target the areas that caused me the most pain. Can’t wait to return :)

Wonderful spa experience, I did the combo package with message and spa, Erica my aesthetician did an amazing job with my facial and educated me about my skin! I also love the personal touch with the names!

My husband brought me here as a birthday gift.I had the following services:1. Body balance massage - This is a full body aromatherapy low-to-moderate strength massage. Jason was my masseur and he did well.2. Soothing and hydrating facial - This place is a SkinCeuticals authorized provider so all of their facial products are from SkinCeuticals. Rachel was my aesthetician. She also treated my hands and arms, not just my face. She asked me if Im comfortable with manual extractions before doing so, which is a good thing because some people might not want that.3. Pedicure - Its a normal pedicure, with exfoliation and cream and polish. The lady (I didnt catch her name) was nice.This place is a bit pricey but you feel very pampered in there. You have to reserve in advance so you dont see random walk-ins. The scheduling of each service works to make it seem as if you have the entire place for yourself. Id love to go every week...You have a locker and a pair of sandals and super fluffy robe (with your size!). They offer you drinks too (tea, champagne etc).The photo below is the quiet room where they bring you back after every service to wait for your next service.

Everything was amazing! I have never felt more relaxed before in my life. Loved the robe, slippers, and champagne. I felt very pampered. Great conversation with Melissa and felt very relaxed with Karla. I will definitely come back!

Yesterday I had the best massages here! I have Lupus disease and I am leaving feeling much better... it was a fantastic experience with JUN!On the other hand, DIANNA she did a deep facial cleansing and microdermabrasion, I was not happy with it because I just feel very weak and soft massage in my face … I DON’t recommend it . I know other places much better for this treatment,The establishment was very nice and professional. ...The Spa is absolutely wonderful in massages.

We had the best, most relaxing time! We set up a spa day for our anniversary and the Woodhouse Gainesville team was fantastic! They were super friendly and made use feel welcome with drinks and snacks in the lovely lounge space. The hot stone massage, facial, and tub soak were AMAZING!!! If you’re looking for a tranquil, low key, and completely relaxing experience this is definitely the place! Also a great value for the money because you won’t feel rushed and the team basically dotes on you while you’re there. We will definitely be back! I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a hot stone massage with Yun, and it was absolutely wonderful! The warm stones were incredibly soothing and melted away all my tension. The therapist was skilled and attentive, ensuring a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The ambiance was peaceful, and the whole experience left me feeling refreshed and revitalized!

Excellent hydrafacial by Rachael! She has a relaxing voice and the facial was just what my skin needed.Melissas massage was wonderful! Very relaxing and she got out all the kinks and stiff spots. Wish I could be there weekly for her massage. Thank you both!!!

I usually have great experiences at Woodhouse, but yesterday was very bad. There is a very nice relaxation area provided before your massage that is usually very quiet and relaxing. Unfortunately, the owner of the spa was loudly having a conversation with what seemed like a VIP client next door and she did not close the door. The rest of the room was not able to relax because they were talking so loudly! It was very unprofessional. It is a shame because the deep tissue massage I received was outstanding!

I had a wonderful massage and facial here to celebrate my birthday. The staff was kind and attentive, and I left feeling incredibly relaxed and pampered!

The spa itself is very relaxing and the staff is always attentive and inviting. My massage with Yun was absolutely amazing. She worked out a lot of stress and pain that had been building in my muscles for some time. Its been a long time since I have felt this relaxed and pain free.

I had a massage yesterday I totally loved it and was happy I was able to have Misty again . She really got all the bad knots I had on my back and really does an amazing job !I also always arrive about 30 minutes early so I can enjoy and relax in the waiting room with champagne or citrus water, and a wonderful warm neck pillow, thank you to the person who got me ready :) also the soothing soft music in waiting room is very nice !

Amazed! I did the calming retreat and it was so relaxing. It’s a gorgeous spa and the staff is very friendly and hospitable. It is pretty pricey…though after the amazing massage, I didn’t think much about the cost.

Second time here, still a beautiful spa! Well organized, clean, and the staff were so polite making my experience feel like a VIP visit. I got the 2 hour calming retreat and it was such an amazing experience. Glad I added it! the massage therapist ensured I had the perfect tension and I felt like I was melting in to the table I was so relaxed. I would highly recommend I will definitely be returning!!

Great story. I bought a birthday gift card for a friend. When they checked in, they gave them the gift card and the champagne card. At checkout, they asked them for payment again. There were no extra services rendered. When I picked them up they told me they had to pay. I went inside to ask, and it seems they kept the gift card and charged the birthday guests credit card. Unacceptable, I asked them to address the issue, but they behaved as if I was bothering them. This review was written while I was waiting for the issue to be resolved, which they did resolve.**Reply to Owner** Thank you for calling, discussing, and resolving this matter. Your spa services were excellent; however, as we discussed, this is not for spa services rendered but for the customer service my guest received with a birthday gift card while they were checking out. There are no false statements in my review. You refunded their CC and then used the gift card after we went back into the SPA to ask why did they charge them and kept the gift card. We agreed over the phone that your team could have communicated better and returned the gift card to the guest after your team asked them to pay. Your office got paid and kept the gift card (All issues resolved later). I understand it was an oversight. I hope this will improve the process you have in place, and as you noted over the phone, you will address it at your 6 pm meeting with your team.I am adding one star for our discussion even though you are still stating false statements in my review.

Excellent Customer Service! Personally encountered the owner and the display of excellence for the operation is on par. The relaxation room is inviting, calming and very relaxing. I’ve had massages, and pedicures both services were always exceptional. I am a repeat client of Jason, love his touch and attention to details. My greatest experience there thus far was weeks after loosing my first born, and Jason gave a massage that calmed my spirit, soul, and body. I was able to share with him, and gave just the right amount of care and concern as well. Overall, been going here since their beginnings, until I relocated.. Still desire to go there, when I have reason to be in the area. I am a satisfied client!

Right after a massage my elbows and back shouldnt be cracking . Didnt feel much of a massage, was very light like a mom rubbing a baby to sleep. Didnt fall asleep though, the only and best moment was when she applied pressure to my head for a couple seconds. Other than that, my body feels like every other day, not relaxed and rejuvenated like I just had a massage. For a woman getting a maternity massage to prepare for labor, I expected better. Honestly my nail tech massages better.Maybe a different person wouldve been better because I did make my decision off the reviews. I had Yun shes very soft spoken, so is her hands.

Such a wonderful deep tissue massage! The quiet room was relaxing and cozy with fruit infused water. I will definitely be going back.

Beware of getting a pedicure here. Tools are metal and leg massage leaves a bit to be desired. The top of my foot was scraped and bruised and my scab lasted for weeks. My whole body massage was lovely, however, and so I’d return for another—not a pedicure.

Wonderful service through and through. The manager offered us the charcuterie board for Valentine’s Day. Delicious! You can’t go wrong with it. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly. I got the maternity massage which was perfect for the aches and pains I was having. My husband got the deep tissue and left feeling rejuvenated.

I have good time with my face cleaning firt time, massage bat is185.00 for 50 minutes expencive bat becouse the nice please and evewhere look clean ok, but in the sal room terapy, I have not feeling anything look like the room was not working was 50 minuts not worthy. I think they forget to put it on before I get to the room.

Jason is such a great Massage Therapist! He relieved my shoulder pain and the pressure was perfect! Woodhouse Gainesville is absolutely beautiful and in a great location! The entire staff was very attentive and courteous. I will definitely be back!

Phenomenal experience from the moment you walk in the door. I had a prenatal massage with scalp treatment. My mom had a body balance massage. We both were so relaxed by the end of it. They also gave me a little gift for the baby!

Cannot say enough great things about this location. The staff, cleanliness, professionalism, and consistency is what keeps me coming back. Yun is absolutely AMAZING! She is so kind and has such a wonderful energy. I always leave feeling de-stressed, which is exactly my goal when I schedule. Already can’t wait for my next visit. ☺️

Probably one of the nicest massage experiences I’ve ever had. The spa itself is impeccable. Very relaxing and clean. You feel like a VIP from the start. The massage itself was heavenly. I will definitely be returning and will be recommending to everyone.

From the second you walk through the doors of the spa, you feel relaxed. The lobby area smelled like essential oils. Check-in was easy and I was immediately brought back to the women’s lounge where I changed into my robe and slippers. Everything was already prepared for me in a locker and in my correct size. I had a facial with Rachael and she was awesome. I loved how she asked me in the beginning of my treatment if I’d like for her to explain each step of the facial as she does them or if I’d prefer to rest in quiet. The treatment was worth every penny. My only recommendation is to bring your own hair brush if you plan to shower at the spa as there were no brushes or cotton swabs provided.

Misty was my masseuse for a prenatal massage and she was incredible!! I absolutely loved how clean and beautiful the spa was. I definitely will go back. I loved the personalized sign they made for me and little treats they left in the lounge after my massage was done. The green tea was perfect, the infused water was delicious. And the private stone shower was really nice. I only give it 4 stars because the front desk receptionist did not seem to know the rules about rescheduling, and only after asking did I find out that I would have been charged $70 for changing the reservation. Glad I went through with my reservation though! Make sure you plan to get there extra early.

As a male I was a little apprehensive, but they put me at ease and it was a very relaxing experience. I almost fell asleep on several occasions. Outstanding first visit to Woodhouse Spa in Gainesville, VA. Courteous staff on the phone helped to schedule a convenient time for an appointment. Greeted promptly on arrival and escorted to the changing room - where a robe waited with my name attached. I felt very welcome! Had a detailed conversation with Jason regarding my needs and preferences prior to my massage. After a wonderful 80 minutes, he kindly demonstrated some stretches to help keep me feeling comfortable in the days ahead. Will definitely be back! Thanks for the delightful and relaxing experience.

My recent visit to the Woodhouse Day Spa in Gainesville was nothing short of extraordinary; friendly staff, slept with the clean and relaxing atmosphere. I have been here twice for massages and they have been amazing, worth every penny. This is my first time getting a gel pedicure with them. While my experience was not bad I would not recommend them for a pedicure, not for the price you are paying. The nail tech was not sure of how to put the lamp to cure the gel polish but did a great massage at the end. Overall I do love Woodhouse spa but will not be getting my nails done here again. I will come back for a massage.

This place is decadently gorgeous on the inside and out. It feels like an experience when you walk right through it as if you were in Beverly Hills, Zurich or Budapest. The staff was familiar and kind, the owner was fabulous - secretly wishing she was my best friend! I love that they sell skinceuticals too, its really hard to get. I will definitely be back, my experience, which I prefer to keep private, was really good. It was well worth my time. Its fantastic to have a luxurious location such as this so close to my moms house! I had a great experience with the massage therapist I met and all the staff overall seemed customer service oriented. My only feedback is to utilize the outdoor space patio better because it doesnt do the interior justice.

This was my 1st time at Woodhouse, but not my 1st pedicure. I was very excited for a luxurious $75 foot spa, but that’s not what I got. The mail portion was good & the technician was very kind and professional. The space was beautiful and very clean and very relaxing.The part that I was disappointed at was I only had lotion with oil on my legs for about a 2-3 minute massage. I’ve paid far less, in Haymarket, for a much better experience. I will not be coming back.

Got a day spa for my wife, after 2 weeks of moving to the Warrenton area.We are always nervous about what a spa will be like after she has had some interesting experiences with body scrubs and being walked between rooms with barely nothing on.Woodhouse came highly recommended from several area folks, and my wife said it was amazing. The staff was courteous and pleasant. The massage therapist, a man, which is always an area of concern, was 100% respectful. He had left teaching high school and absolutely loves what he does. And apparently, it shows in his quality of massages.The aesthetician was fabulous. My wife had no red marks after the facial dermabrasion. He face cam out beaming.I am looking forward to being able to spoil her again at Woodhouse.

Michael did a fantastic job with my deep tissue massage. He was professional and perceptive, asked good questions, and was clearly very knowledgeable. I have two sports injuries Im working through with a PT, and her recommendation for a deep tissue massage was spot on. Wood house is super clean, the staff is friendly, and they create a relaxing experience from start to finish. This was my third time at the Spa, but first massage. Ill be back for sure!

I casually mentioned to Vanessa that my lower back was a bit achy. But to focus on my upper back, which was a tight mess. Well, she eased my upper back and totally fixed my lower back. She’s a magician. Love her!

My husband and I went here for our first ever massage yesterday and we had a good time! We scheduled for a couples massage, but at the last minute were told they overbooked and we had to have our massages separate. I was a bit crestfallen as we had planned for this specifically to be done together, and it was a bit intimidating to do something so intimate alone, but our masseuses made us very comfortable! My masseuse Michael was kind and respected my pressure tolerance, while my husbands masseuse worked out a lot of knots in his shoulders. Both of our masseuses were the best part of the experience!

I had a good 80 minute massage. My masseuse did exactly what I asked for and had the right amount of deep tissue pressure. I would definitely request him again.Unfortunately, I brought my mom who had an 80 minute facial. The aesthetician, although kind, did not give her a great facial experience. If I could rate my moms experience I would give 2 stars. Way too expensive to be underwhelmed.

Disappointing experience. 80 min deep tissue massage, that had almost no pressure and was very, very light. At check-out I told the receptionist I was unhappy with the massage as it wasnt deep tissue. The receptionists response was to tell me that next time I could request someone that was good at deep tissue and then asked if I wanted to tip the customary 20%. So, I guess the moral of the story is, ensure the person who is giving you the treatment is good at the treatment beforehand. Unfortunately, I spent about $260 (15% tip included) and got someone who evidently wasnt very good at the requested service.

I’ve been to Woodhouse Leesburg and I prefer this location.They made my appointment personalized with name signs in front of my locker and seat in the relaxation room.Felt very service oriented and was so calming.The service, black sand rejuvenation, was perfect. Sand exfoliated my skin wonderfully, I feel soft even days after. Massage therapist knew what she was doing and was very tranquil.I wanted to get more massages after this because I forgot how good it could feel! Well priced as well.

It was absolutely wonderful. The deep tissue and hot stones was just what I needed, and Elizabeth helped show me some stretches to help with very tight lower back spots. Thank you for a pleasant experience - I will definitely be back again!

I went for my first time at Woodhouse and was very impressed! I had Kate as my massage therapist and she was amazing. She listened to what I wanted and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire hour. I look forward to going back and booking another appointment with her! My esthetician Sara was AMAZING. Professional, thoughtful, and skilled. The welcome staff made me feel at ease upon arrival. I know they were fully booked when I came today but I never felt rushed. I enjoyed the facial and black sand rejuvenation. I finished it off with the relaxing and healing salt therapy room. I’m definitely going to be a frequent visitor

I had a wonderful first experience at Woodhouse Spa today! The front desk ladies were kind and welcoming. I love the robes, free lockers, bathroom and shower facilities were tidy and clean. The relaxing lounge area was quiet and neat, lovely fruit infused water, relaxing chairs, a variety of hot teas they would bring to you, and snacks.Sydney was the spa technician that did my first ever Deep Cleanse Facial and made it as relaxing as possible. She was great!Lovely vibe from this spa! I will definitely be a regular for my future skin care and body/massage care!

Vanessa did a wonderful massage for me today. She was sweet and detailed. I felt light as a feather after my one hour Swedish massage. Highly recommend this place!!

The place is just lovely. You feel like you are at a high end spa. My experience was great. I had a wonderful facial and the best massage of my life (by Shelby). I loved the personalization of my name written on the chalk board with my robe ready for me. I will try aromatherapy next time. I did not love the smell of the massage oil that was used. It smelled manly. :)

OUTSTANDING experience from the time we walked in the door! We were immediately greeted by the owner, Walt, taken to our respective changing areas that had lockers - custom with our names on it, shoes and super comfy robes. We had a private suite filled with chocolates, champagne, tea AND snacks. From the decor, shop, ambiance, seating area to the music is perfectly designed for ultimate relaxation. Everything was spotlessly clean! Both massage therapists, Melissa and Yun were simply amazing! We were greeted again by both owners, Walt and his wife, Colleen on our way out to ensure we had the best experience....100% recommend!!

Beautiful space, and the whole experience felt special. From my requesting my robe and slipper size before I arrived to having my name on my locker and chaise. I was offered fruit, water, or hot tea, which was nice. This spa felt like stepping out of NoVa for just a little while. I believe the prices are a little high, but overall well worth it.

Very nice experience and excellent facial by Mella. Gainesvilles version of the old Red Door. I recommend Mella. She gave me a great facial and I was amazed how nice my skin looked afterward - smooth, age spots reduced in color, pores tightened. Will definitely be returning on a regular basis.

I went for a deep cleaning facial over the weekend. The spa ambiance and other items are great. However, I felt like the facial massage could have been a little bit better. There was no feeling of a massage on the face, it just felt like someone is touching my face gently. For the price being charged 200$ with tip, I did not feel worth it at all.

I came here for my birthday/anniversary massage and it was just what I needed! Liz took care of me and knew right away how to make me feel relaxed. Excellent service from check in to check out and would highly recommend. Very clean facility and relaxing waiting area!

Rhonda was very sweet. I think she did a good job.The employees at the reception desk need to smile and be cheerful. Also…speak clearly. I couldn’t understand what they were saying.All in all, a good experience.

This was our first time at The Woodhouse Day Spa and absolutely loved it! Amazing customer service from the time we walked in the door, before, during, and after our massages. The facilities are amazing and I loved the little personal touches. We had a couples massage with Michael and Jason and they were incredible. The additional time that Jason took for explaining different stretches to help with certain trouble areas was above and beyond. Will definitely return and recommend to friends!

This place is AMAZING!! Yes its a bit pricey but you definitely get what you pay for, well in this case at least. The mood and ambiance are set as soon as you walk through the front door(s) and then carried throughout the entire space. Youll get your own locker, robe (which is absolutely divine and for purchase in the giftshop) as well as your own slippers. Then offered a refreshment, a warm neck pillow and left to wait in a peaceful, atmospheric lounge area. Then I had a deep tissue massage and let me tell you here... it was Life affirming!! I usually go to Massage Envy, and dont get me wrong... I have found some seriously good masseuses there but yesterdays massage was a thing of glory (and Im not even exaggerating one small bit)!! TBH, I would 1000% sign up for recurring massages if I had more money... imo they are sooooooo worth every penny. The spa also provides many other services which I have heard rave reviews about by friends... thats why I chose to get my birthday massage here to begin with. SO, if youre looking for a total day away from the crazy Northern VA lifestyle or if youre like me... a knotted up, stay at home, homeschooling mom with a birthday wish to use... my 2 cents say go for it, Youll enjoy every minute!!

The spa experience was phenomenal! Started with super talented Sidney doing my hydrofacial - what a relaxing service. Then moved onto having chicken Cesar salad, green tea and a cookie for lunch- yummy! Ended my day with incredibly gifted Jason with a calming retreat and wrap. Such a great day! Gave 4 stars as my facial left my face looking white. My face looked the way it did before i discovered black girl sunscreen. When I wiped my face the cloth was brown like I had makeup on. I dont wear make-up. I wont get that particular facial again. Ive had wonderful facials here, so I wonder if they changed products. But will be back.Now my massage was amazing. Can I get one a month? Her hands were magically soft and relaxing.

Was given a generous gift card for here & totally enjoyed myself. Had deep tissue massage that found hot spots & trigger points I never realized I had.Extremely relaxing atmosphere. Staff very helpful in showing me features, getting me prepared with warm towel for my neck, choices for beverage (I chose the infused water, very refreshing) while waiting for therapist.If you prefer deep tissue, I highly recommend Jason!A little pricey but well worth it. Will definitely be going back again when I am in the area.

I had a facial with Rachel. As a Rachel myself, let me tell you. I’m glad she’s in my name Army. She was hands down amazing. She was informed, gentle, kind and made me feel very comfortable. She knew her stuff and she was fantastic. I immediately noticed a difference in my acne scaring too. Less bright red. More dull and skin color. I’m a convert now. I’ll never go anywhere else.

Woodhouse spa is a cute and clean facility. Front office lady was nice and very welcoming. Locker area was nice and neat. They even had rob with my name card and sandals. They offer refreshments prior to your session. I booked my appointment for 50 min body balance massage therapy. The massage room was very neat and clean as well.Yun was excellent!!! Her hands definitely had magical touch. I had some pain and tingling feeling in my arms. She did some magic on them. I will definitely come back for longer session. Overall great experience! Every detail of this spa was amazing. Atmosphere was so pleasant, decor and boutique are stunning, staff was very pleasant. The beverages were amazing and lounge and waiting areas were beautiful and clean. My massage was top notch. I’d give 10 stars if I could! I’ll definitely be back

Just had an amazing experience at the Woodhouse Day Spa. I love spa visits but I havent been in over two years for obvious reasons. Im glad I tried out this place. First, I was thrilled to find out the staff wear masks. In a small room where I cant wear a mask, it just makes me feel safer. Second, the spa itself is super clean and relaxing. I had a facial with Alyssa who was incredibly knowledgable and even looked up my night face serum to make sure she gave me a facial that wouldnt cause my skin any problems. After that I had a Calming Retreat massage with Jason and wow that was almost two hours of complete bliss. I was super relaxed and really appreciated that he just let me relax and didnt talk the whole time. Overall, I wouldnt change a thing about my experience and cant wait to go back again.

I had a wonderful first experience. I only wish I could have afforded to do more! I have a lot of chronic pain from my competitive gymnastics career, I got a sports Massage from Jason and it was so so helpful. I also got a much needed pedicure which was nice. I will be saving specifically to come back ASAP!

Wonderful! My husband and I came in and had a couples massage with Jason & Basil. Both were excellent massage therapists. The spa provides robes and sandals to wear while waiting for your services. Theres a quiet room to wait in that has fruit-infused water. You can ask for regular water or hot tea as well. Theres also a warm neck wrap to wear while in the quiet room. We had a great experience and will definitely be back!

I was impressed as soon as I was greeted. The little details were nice like your name on the locker, with your robe and slippers waiting, then the quiet room where they have a drink of choice waiting , again with your name near your seat. Sara did my facial and she was amazing . I highly recommend her, great balance of education about your skin, recommending products, but not upselling. Will become a regular here. Bonus, a cute gift shop with lots or organic, local, handmade products.Massage was great as well. I asked for a focus on my neck, shoulders and back. Unfortunately, I am forgetting the gals name but she was great!!

I was scheduled for a 110 minute massage. I did arrive 5 minutes late (traffic and life happens). The staff was very efficient about getting me into the lounge and into the massage room, so my treatment probably began at 15 minutes after the hour. However, the massage ended at 15 minutes before the next hour (so I probably got about 90 minutes total of actual massage time). Considering the cost of services here, I was disappointed and called the owner. She explained that you need to arrive early (and their emails do state that - so take note of that; I have not had an issue not arriving early to other massage therapists Ive tried in the area). However, the owner was also explaining that they have to vacate each room 15 minutes prior to the next appointment, which didnt make sense - even if my massage began on the hour exactly, I still wouldnt have had the full time if they kick everyone out 15 minutes before. At best, it would have been 105 minutes). They probably need to reflect those time adjustments on their website accordingly, if thats their policy. The service itself was with Jason, and it was good. However, I wont be back, because their services may be short to begin with, and they are pretty unforgiving for traffic in this region and people dealing with children in the morning.

Let me start by saying they knocked it out of the park again! My wife and I got another 80 minute couples massages and until today we have always fought over Yun, not any more! You may ask why Yun? Yun is like Blue Mountain coffee, it’s just a little bit better. You will not find a bad masseuse but today I found Melissa, and put her in the same hallowed ground as Yun. She is just a master of technique. Also (over sharing a bit) the glutes massage was epic and with her Elton John glasses and bigger than life personality, I am not sure how they can improve upon their customer service. I am not sure when he joined, but the addition of a semi retired chef that does not let grass grow under his feet was a great move. We got the charcuterie board complete with home made chocolates and a delicious spiced cider that chef pressed from his farm as well as some smoked cheese and salami again from his farm. We enjoyed it in the salt room sitting in the zero g chairs. We were sad to miss the prosciutto from Italy that he had just run out of but, again, a top notch experience that is worth the cost.

Excellent experience from start to finish! The super friendly front staff assisted getting me acclimated and settled in, the wonderful masseuse thoroughly worked my sore back and joints, and I wrapped up buying a gift certificates for a friend. Looking forward to returning again!

I was greeted by my host and had a wonderful 110 minute relaxation experience. I was able to relax afterwards without being rushed.My massage therapist was Jason and I highly recommend him. Kera is so welcoming and professional as j checked out and bought a few items for home. I left cleansed and relaxed as well as adjusted from helpful stretching. I will be back. I recently had my first visit and overall everything was great and exceeded my expectations. The initial greeting was not as warm as it could have been (I get it, it was the end of the day), but once I was checked in the atmosphere was very warm and relaxing.I had a facial and it was so relaxing! The therapist was attentive, talked me through each step, and provided suggestions for skin care products.The personalized touches on everything elevated the experience (ie.) robe and locker with your name, beverage, etc). I look forward to coming back in the near future and cant believe it took me this long to go! I would definitely recommend.

My massage was awesome! I have 0 complaints. The pressure was perfect, it was quiet, warm, i got a hot tea and a place to relax before my treatment, the robe was so cozy, the shower was awesome, the place was clean and cute and relaxing. Most disappointing facial ever. I booked an Illuminate facial but told her my concerns. I was interested in exfoliating and extracting because my face was breaking out and tend to be super dry specially with the winter months. She suggested a hydrafacial which I’ve gotten before so I know what to expect. I felt like she used the machine and that was it. No extraction, no exfoliating and when I walked into the bathroom after I had raccoon eyes from the left over makeup that was not removed. I’ve never felt like I had to wash my face after a facial but I went and scrubbed off all the dirt left on my face. Waste of time and money. Would not recommend.

Fantastic experience. I took my mom here for a birthday massage and we both enjoyed the signature calming retreat and had the massage therapists shelby and yun. they were both great but shelby was incredible! I love how woodhouse gives you time to relax and enjoy a welcome drink before beginning your service. while this service wasnt cheap, the experience is worth every penny. very professional and relaxing atmosphere and fantastic service!

Management and owners were unresponsive to handle an issue today that involved a massage with one of their technicians. Filed a formal complaint with the front desk and no call given to check on concerns. Previously I had visited with my daughters on five different occasions. Woodhouse Day Spa of Gainesville lost four loyal customers today!

First, I want to compliment Shelby for the wonderful massage. I appreciate her talent and professionalism very much and highly recommend her to others.Second, as someone with a higher than average risk of COVID who has not been able to go to a spa for more than two years, I appreciate that most of the Woodhouse staff wore masks. I wish the front desk staff member who helped me had worn one.I would like to address what I think is an “unwelcoming” attitude at the spa. First, it was difficult to book my massage appointment online. You can only book 2 weeks out, and there weren’t many options available, especially on the weekends. After I did find an available time, I was presented with multiple “rules” for my appointment. I almost canceled the appointment when I got three messages telling me I would be charged for services if I had to cancel less than 24 hours before the appointment. I understand their rules, but things come up and I couldn’t take the chance on being charged for an appointment I could not keep. I also got three “reminders” that I needed to be 30 minutes early for my appointment to fill out a “guest profile,” and if I didn’t come 30 minutes early, time could be taken from my treatment, but I would still be charged for the complete time.So I showed up 40 minutes early. I was taken back to a changing room, where a robe and locker with my name on it were waiting—a lovely touch. Unfortunately the robes, which are marked “one size” are not made for plus-size women. (I have been to many spas and this is the first time I have found myself in this very uncomfortable situation.) Plus-size women are often hesitant to go to spas, and this is a big reason why. It’s not hard to offer larger robes and ASK guests what size they need to avoid putting larger guests in embarrassing situations. I asked for a larger robe and one was provided. There were no spa shoes in my locker, as I saw in other lockers, so I had to ask for those too. I asked if I needed to fill out a “guest profile” (which I had been told three time I had to come 30 minutes early to complete), and I was told “No.” Ten minutes before my treatment time, a staff member rushed into the waiting room with paperwork I needed to complete, and simply said, “Fill this out — back and front,” before rushing back out.As I mentioned up front, my treatment was top-notch. The customer care, however, could use some work. Easier online booking. Maybe a few less rules and a little more attention to individuals.

Misty was FANTASTIC! I was unable to wear their shoes due to a material allergy, and I wish there were another option offered but I had to walk barefoot. Ive been to other spas that werent as expensive and provided a similar or better experience. In summary, Misty was fantastic but the experience was overpriced.

My deep tissue massage was excellent. I felt so much looser afterwards. Jason was kind enough to suggest some stretches to help me with the tightness in my upper back. The spa is tastefully done and the staff helpful and pleasant. I will definitely be back in the future.

Not the best massage I’ve ever had, but not the worst either. Just average, so I’m disappointed in paying what I did, even with the discount. I filled out the paperwork and had a discussion with the masseuse about my problem area and where to focus. No extra time, IMO, was spent on it. If you’re lost for a spa experience and Swedish massage for relaxing, you’ll be fine.

Alyssa is super sweet and very careful with details. I have really sensitive skin and she doesnt make me feel as though I am being complicated. The Woodhouse Spa is really relaxing and clean. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an upscale experience and attention to detail. Great service.

Annie was a wonderful massage therapist!! Woodhouse is a beautiful Spa! My daughters and I received massages all on the same day, with great service before and after. There was a lengthy issue with one of the gift certificates being processed by Woodhouse...which almost unraveled the relaxation, but thankfully it was resolved. Overall, a great experience.

The spa is absolutely beautiful. You walk into a very calming, warm reception area. The receptionists are lovely and so helpful. My daughter and I were escorted to a lovely waiting area where we were offered refreshments while we filled out a questionnaire. Afterwards, we were taken to the ladies locker room were our robes and sandals we’re waiting in our locker. Our names were on each robe and locker. Every detail and need is met. Our facials were so amazing and relaxing. Monique was my esthetician. She is so skilled and talented. My skin was glowing after my facial. My daughter and I will definitely will be going back .

I had Shelby today and she was AMAZING! We worked on my upper back since I have lots of tension from working at a computer sitting stationary and commuting in the car. She was able to loosen it up and I feel so much better! I can actually lift my arm above my head now without pain. She was super friendly and really listened to what I needed. Cant wait to go back!

After not knowing that I had received a gel pedicure the last time I went somewhere else Rachel did a fabulous job of getting every bit of the old polish off! Then still gave me a wonderful pedicure! I learned my lesson not to go to those cheap places! It’s always worth every penny to go to the spa and leave feeling refreshed!

I usually have a great experience here but the rep I spoke to today was extremely short and uaccommodating for a simple request that was done in the past. I totally understand not being able to meet requests from previous visits but the call was just cold and uninviting.

My wife and I spent a couple hours here last Saturday and have to say we loved it. The experience was top notch and every one we encountered was just that. The owner took time on the phone to schedule our appointment and answer a ton of questions about the best services for us. She also made it a point to come and check on us while we were there to make sure we enjoyed it. Yesterday we also received a Thank You card in the mail. This is the definition of customer service. I don’t know which experience was my favorite. My massage was heavenly. The table was perfectly heated. The linens soft and comfy. The masseuse had the perfect touch. On to the facial. I went to the Woodhouse right after it opened. The facilities are absolutely beautiful. The management team was friendly and very welcoming. As a treat to myself I booked the Lavender and Seaweed Scrub Pedicure. It was lovely and relaxing. My technician was knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely visit again for another pedicure and check out other services in the near future.

The aromatherapy that is pumped in every room makes you relax and forget all of the stress in your life before entering this amazing facility. Assigned seats in the waiting area. Weird. I arrived a little early to read my book and my assigned seat was not near a light. Plus it was a smaller chair next to the food/water table. I asked if I could switch and they said no. Keep in mind there was 12 empty seats. Massage was great.

I love, love, love, the pampering you get at Woodhouse Day Spa. They provide a very comfy robe and warm neck wrap prior to getting your massage. They also provide snacks and different drinks like fruit infused water, hot tea, or wine. No other massage place does this, at least none that Im aware of. My massage therapist today was amazing. This is the second time Ive been to Woodhouse Day Spa and been truly amazed at the way they treat their guests. I am definately going to refer them to anyone who asks me if I know a good massage place.

Having been a regular for the past year, I would usually give the Gainesville location 5 stars….until tonight. My aesthetician unfortunately is on leave and the aesthetician I got instead spent 30 minutes of my 80 minute facial looking for things. (Literally out of the room looking for hydro facial tips, etc) Moreover, the preparation between each step took her longer than the time she spent doing the step so that she essentially spent a grand total of 6 minutes using the hydro facial on my face. I could go on and on, but will refrain for now. I spent over $400 on this service and when I complained at the desk I was told that I could try to contact the manager who would be at the spa “sometime tomorrow.” Thanks for nothing. I will be calling tomorrow!

This was my first time at Woodgouse Spa it was Intimate, attentive and very relaxing. Just what I needed.

My experience was top notch from the greeting at the door to the payment at the end. I was expected and everything was ready for me as if I were the only guest. Jason made me feel at ease from the beginning. My requests were honored perfectly and all my expectations for this experience were met.The ambience added to the calm that I’d hoped to achieve.

The Swedish massage was great. The place itself is new and pleasant. The reason why I’m giving my experience 4 stars - the head piece on the massage table was quite uncomfortable. It presses on your face pretty hard when you’re lying face down and leaves a pretty strong mark on your face. So, if you’re planning to go out after the massage, you would need some time to get rid of that mark. The enjoyment from the back massage is interrupted by the thought of how strongly the head piece is pressing on your face.

This was my first experience at Woodhouse, and based on this visit, it will not be the last. I had an excellent massage, but even before I received my service, the care and attention I received was top notch! From the moment I walked in, till the moment I left I was given the best treatment. I look forward to receiving additional services in the very near future.

I went on recommendation from family who are regulars, and was not disappointed. I went with a 50 minute deep tissue message and they found knots and pain I didnt even know I had. The entire staff was easy to communicate with and I always felt like I was in control of my experience. I left feeling relaxed and ready for my week to come.

I got the microdermabrasion facial. The girl was very nice. The facial was just eh for the price. Tranquility gives a way better experience for less. Tranquility also give you a nice neck massage with your facial!

Woodhouse Day Spa is an exquisite spa with all the amenities expected in a high end spa but not as expensive. Schedule Yun for the hot stone massage! One of the best massages ever!! Very holistic approach with some reflexology and stretching incorporated along with the hot stones and hot towels! Will definitely be back.

I bought a gift card for Christmas for someone else. I was told that scheduling was easy and that they were pretty wide open till the end of the year. I found out later that they are not open on Tuesdays, could only offer 80min massages 2 weeks out and beyond as well as only have 2 nail techs one of which only works one day. If they were upfront about this when I purchased the gift card when I asked. I wouldnt have bought it.

My fiancé and I went here for our honeymoon and we had an incredible experience. Total sensory relaxation. I want get massages more regularly now. I thought they were girly but I make them manly. Recommend getting Shelby.

If it wasn’t for the massage itself by Yun, today’s visit was not the best. The massage was incredible as always. No one was at the desk to greet her and she waited 10 mins which ultimately resulted in her massage also being late. Then was not escorted to the changing room, instead was told to go herself and then proceed to the lounge. When she went into the changing room, she found her robe but no shoes, so the hunt was on. Long story short the customer service was very lackluster today after being a regular there it was a bit disappointing!UPDATE: Colleen reached out and expressed a shortage in staff. After a bit of back and forth an apology was provided. At the end of the day if a business is not open to receiving feedback… positive or negative they may want to reconsider asking for a review in a follow up email post service. And per Colleen’s “thorough investigation” of cameras on the time spent waiting, she stated that the wait was minutes Vice then 10 put into the original review. Regardless it’s how the client felt that day in comparison to previous visits. Woodhouse is a beautiful spa with amazing massages (can’t speak to other services since have we have not had them). If a business wants to continue to be successful, recommend they be open and empathic of a client’s perspective and feelings, and not so defensive.

This spa is a gem for Gainesville and its surrounding areas! I had a massage and pedicure and I came away more relaxed and rejuvenated than I have felt in a long time. The owners, masseuse, and nail technician were extremely friendly and they made sure that I felt comfortable and had everything I needed. I look forward to my next spa day!

The massage therapist was outstanding. She applied the right amount of pressure and was extremely quiet. Unfortunately, my husbands therapist wasnt as quiet but still did a great job.

Got the sports massage for 50 mins. My guy did a great job. Popped some bothersome joints, stretched out my muscles. Its a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Very clean, actual privacy, refreshments, showers. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful massage from Vanessa- she used CBD on my sore spots. I haven’t felt that pain free in goodness knows how long

I really enjoy visiting this spa for massage therapy. The environment is calm and peaceful. The front desk staff are welcoming. Everything is done to promote relaxation and wellbeing. Everything is clean, high quality and aesthetically pleasing. I will continue to return here for spa treatments.

I’ve been going to the Woodhouse spa in Bethesda for years. I came to the Gainesville spa to visit a friend. I was pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail by the staff. Very nice personal touches. The facial I had was top notch. My skin looked great. The esthetician was very knowledgeable and friendly. Great communicator. This is much better than the Woodhouse in Bethesda. I will be visiting again.

It was my first time visiting the Woodhouse Spa and I had a wonderful, relaxing experience. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, everyone was very nice and welcoming. Yun was great and I definitely will be coming back.

I absolutely love Woodhouse Spa! The place is immaculate and cozy. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxing. And the masseuses are consistently fantastic!

The facility is very nice. Staff are kind and nice. For the manicure, it was odd to sit in a pedicure chair for a manicure. For the price point I would have expected more from the manicure, maybe a hand massage or soak.

Ive been to many day spas from all over the country to Hawaii, Cancun, Spain, Singapore, Budapest, etc. From the ritz, to four seasons, to traditional day spas. I was a loyal Burke Williams (BK) customer (California) and have compared other day spas to them. Since living in NOVA, I have yet to find one that comes close to BK. The Woodhouse Day spa is comparable but have some suggestions. The staff are awesome. They made me feel welcome. They were very helpful.Amenities: soft towels, robe is high quality, slippers tailored to your shoe size. I wish they have a sauna and jacuzzi but understand the size limitation. There should be a dresser with hairdryer and lotion/hair spray, etc.Lounge: ambience is very relaxing. Love the fruit infused water. Hot tea is great. Would recommend pricing fruits such as bananas, oranges and apples instead of the fruit snacks, candy and wasabi peas.Service: I had the 80 min hydrofacial deluxe facial. It was okay. Im used to the esthetician spending a couple of minutes with steam or hot towel over my face to open up my pores them lathering up the cleanser and massage my face, neck, ears, and decollate. I only got about a minute of cleaning on my face🤔. Im just sure what the purpose of the lymphatic drainage is but I barely felt a thing. Same for the suction. Everything felt really light... My face is not really bright.I also had the black sand rejuvenation. I am used to having my body washed with body wash and then have the scrub applied. Finally have the mishi shower. I got scrubbed front and back. Then while lying gave down, had the mishi shower on my back for about 10 minutes. After that, bath oil was applied. Am I supposed to have my front rinsed as well because it wasnt? I literally still had the black sand scrub on my front body when I got out of the treatment. I had to take a shower to get the residues off.Finally, I asked if I can order lunch. At BK, you can order lunch and eat it in between treatments because I like to spend the majority of the day in the spa. WH offers 2 different types of salad. I opted for a Caesar salad. What I got is chopped romaine lettuce, salad dressing and 2 slices of bread. Plus a cookie (highlight of the meal). Definitely not worth paying $20.All in all, I paid $550 (thats with a 10% military discount)!Would I come back again? Maybe not for the hydrofacial or the black sand rejuvenation. Definitely not order the salads.Is it worth the price. Meh. Not impressed, but I may just be a select few since I have high expectations.

Really a sweet treasure in Gainesville! From the moment you walk in, the smell is soothing. The customer service is excellent, great amenities and fantastic “treats” to buy for yourself. But more than anything, the management is excellent and attentive.

As soon as you walk in the Woodhouse doors, you are greeted with pleasantries. The good news, it doesn’t stop until you float out of their doors. Thanks to the Woodhouse staff, especially Jackie, you’re the best! Awesome afternoon and I look forward to seeing you again soon, promise…🌞

Took a chance the first week they were open and was not disappointed! The place is beautiful and the entire experience is catered around being relaxing, from the moment you enter. I brought my husband and my sister for all of us to get hot stone massages and we each had a wonderful time. Can’t wait to come again!

My friend and I had a wonderful time at The Woodhouse yesterday! I’m so excited my favorite spa is only 10 mins from my house (I’ve been to the Leesburg one). I had The Woodhouse Escape with Yun and the Illuminating facial with Summer; Both services, Yun, and Summer were amazing! As a nurse, I’m under a lot of stress and have a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders and my skin has been full from all the masks. I feel so much better! The spa is so beautiful and relaxing. I can’t wait to come back!

I went to Woodhouse for the first time on Friday. Liz was my massage therapist. It was very relaxing from the minute I walked in to when I left! Liz is a great massage therapist and I will definitely be back!

I got a gift certificate for Christmas and used it to get a massage and mani/pedi. These services cost over $400. For this price, I expected to have access to a full spa - whirl pools, saunas, etc. while the massage was great, neither the services nor the facility warrant such a high price.

The best massage of my 54 years! Jason had hands from the LORD! I joked and asked him does every person getting off his table ask him to marry them. He is happily married but what a MASSAGE!
