This hotel is absolutely is disgusting! It smells to high heaven! I trusted my husband to book a room through Expedia (big mistake on my part) We definitely would not have booked if I read the reviews.Walked in the room the smell was just so bad I immediately walked out and gave the key back to front desk. Tried getting a refund through Expedia and the owner only gave me 25% back which is messed up!Anyways moral of the story is never let your husband pick the room and never rent a room at this hotel!

Very horrible! Toilet didn’t work like normal, tv was broke, one of the beds were broken, dirty floor, stale smell, overall just need to shut that place down.

We went here for hurricane Idalia. Room was clean and smelled clean. AC worked. Shower got nice and hot and the water pressure was really good. No bugs and clean sheets. Also, the hotel never lost power which was great. Pet friendly.

Zero or negative stars are not an option. Location great. Everything else positive ended there. Checkin a big sign for sex trafficking awareness. We parked in front of a resident walking a guest for 2 minutes. Without question a drug deals. This is a nightly motel but seemed like it was hourly.No upkeep on the property.Walk into room on 2nd floor, very dirty floors. Like did not even try to clean or sweep for weeks at minimum type dirty. Dark and dim lit. Bathroom had no shower curtain, toilet paper, or towels. The soap they left was a joke. Felt cleaner to not wash hands. Beds came with a single pillow each, shockingly the sheets seemed clean the exposed box springs had a ton of stains. Stale room and felt sick with mold when we left.We were there for a game- made it to room late night and left within 3 hours. My bag I brought has brown dirt on the bottom of it from unswept floors.DO NOT STAY HERE! You’ll be more comfortable in your car

Staff was friendly, location was solid but the room was not so pleasant. It was the only place available on a game night, expectations weren’t high but we did expect to be able to sleep shower before heading out in the morning. We were greeted by 3 roaches, my assumption is that these were an ancient species that would be the equivalent of a wooly mammoth in the roach phylum. I think of their names was Jimmy and he didn’t want us in their restroom so we were unable to use the bathroom. The kind gentlemen in the office let me use his bathroom. One of my neighbors two doors down seemed to have a black light in her room, I think it helps keep the roaches away. Hopefully we can install black lights in all room. The pool and lazy river seem nice but I didn’t have my bio suit with me to use them.

I enjoyed my stay. It was nice when I needed a place when I was out late in Gainesville.

Needed a place to crash after a Gators game. Kampus was right around the corner so booked it. Had a late check in after celebrating an upset win. Staff was nice enough to hold our rooms since they were prepaid. Upon entering the hot room (AC was off to offset higher FPL bills), we realized they were already occupied. Jimmy and his gang had called dibs and were not going away anytime soon. We had a staring contest but ultimately compromised. They would occupy the bathroom so we can get some R&R before heading back to south Florida. We checked out early to avoid further contamination of our bodies. Rooms need a major renovation and especially sanitation. Periplaneta americana, you win this time.

Im pretty sure this is a SCAM!!! I called the number to try to book a room. I told them I had tried book through Expedia. They informed me that they dont take bookings through Expedia and they would discount the room below what Expedia had offered. The man I was talking to had a very thick accent (not being racist) and there was a lot of noise behind him, like he was in a Call Room. My husband told me to hang up. Immediately we got a return call from a number in San Antonio. Tx. We were booking in Gainesville, Fl. NOPE. Too sketchy for us!!! Please be careful!!!

Unpleasantly greeted by nasty guests, some of the largest cockroaches around 🪳 — the ratio of roaches per sq ft is off the charts.The picture attached is a still shot of a video which I can’t seem to upload.Too disgusted at this moment to share additional specifics. This place seems like it was once a great Motel in the heart of Gainesville. Now, its just run down. Its amazing what a good steam cleaning, bleaching, pressure washing, painting, new mattresses, and new/clean linens could do to a place.

Roaches, black mold, dirty bedding, dirty walls. Absolutely disgusting. Hotel staff blew it off. Booked through Walmart+ travel and still waiting for resolution.

The pool looks like it hasnt been used for 25 years. Spacious old rooms, but if you can afford another $10-30 a night stay elsewhere. No amenities avaliable.

Man great place, gives residences TVs when they break, it’s a great location right down the road from checkers, you can walk there in literally two minutes. The rooms are the perfect size for a couple to stay for a few months, however long you decide to stay. The community there is for the most part peaceful and the room service is excellent, just talk them and you’ll know what I mean. The exit lane is lined with beautiful shrubbery that shines through the spring. Enjoy your visit!

Took a homeless man there out of the cold! Community paid to help him over Thanksgiving. Temperatures below freezing!Absolutely a dump & needs to be closed down by board of health!! Holes in walls & ceiling, filthy dirty bathroom, roaches running everywhere, No hot water, water stains on ceiling, no lock on door, hinge was torn off, lamp was torn apart & could not use, towels in room had been used!!I made management move him but they then charged an additional $100 for the move. Community paid but how sad that that is someplace to Represent Gainesville!! Horrible

Wow! How can they justify charging for such a ...well unsanitary (best word I can find) place. The tub was filthy with paint splatter. Dont even think about putting your kids in there. The water was over ankle deep during a normal shower and seems like water got under the tub itself and was floating. Have showered a few times since returning home and still feel...unclean after staying there. BEWARE

Knights Inn is the nastiest hotel I ever been in. The room was disgusting. When I first walked into my room I almost threw up. The bathroom looked terrible I didnt even wanna use it at all. The smell was terrible I had to keep my room door open when I first got there. There were ants coming into the room through the slide door, the slide door curtains had nasty stains on them. My boyfriend killed a huge Roach. And dont get me started on the pool I wanted me and my boyfriend to take a late night swim but the pool was nasty ass hell. I NEVER in my 20 years of living EVER been or seen a hotel in so bad conditions. Even the cheapest hotel in Palatka Fl (Budget Inn) is cleaner and nicer then that. I still dont understand how the hell this hotel still standing. I highly recommend closing this damn hotel down for good or rebuilding it because $55 a night is not worth it. DO NOT BRING UR KIDS TO THIS HOTEL.

Have been staying here since January of 2020. Roaches that bite!!! There is such a bad infestation throughout the entire motel the german roaches actually are biting my roommate and I in our sleep. They bite the neighbors kids too. No smoke alarm even after the fire 3 doors down from us. Broken AC. Weve asked over and over for management to fix these issues and they refuse. The TVs are constantly broken and getting any help is very frustrating as its rude and disrespectful. I dont recommend. At all.

This broken-down tenement should be demolished. Old door locks that dont work properly. Rusty refrigerator. Stained furniture and rugs. Dirty, musty, moldy, stale smoke-smelling non-smoking rooms with large clumps of old spider webs. Floors so dirty you dont want to walk on them with shoes. Sticky bathroom floor. Large red ants greet you in the middle of the night. Roaches so darn brave one climbed up my leg as I was brushing my teeth! Oh, and they have the AUDACITY to charge $125 a night for game weekends. If I could have rated them with a negative value, I would. I would recommend the city of Gainesville take a good hard serious look at this slum along with the health department.

The room was nasty. I had to buy bleach to clean the room before my guests arrived. Wi-Fi didnt work and wasnt hotels problem. TV was only local channels and was poor quality. Neither door to my room worked properly. Management was extremely rude and disrespectful and used profanity towards me but other guests and staff as well... Worst hotel Ive ever stayed in

This is the most disgusting place Ive ever been to. I stayed last weekend. I have a 2 year old little boy. I get in the hotel room find a crack pipe, cock roaches, and weed roaches under neath the bed. The sliding doors were broken. These guys next door were knocking on my door at 2 in the morning asking for a cup of sugar at a hotel? Keep in mind I have a baby in the room. I called the front desk and all they could do was transfer me to a different room. They refused to give me my money back or give me the number for corporate. The front desk was so rude. There were prostitutes outside the rooms asking me to buy cigarettes or joints off me. There were also stains on the bed. Drywall was ripping off the walls. Disgusting. I highly suggest you NEVER go here ESPECIALLY WITH CHILDREN!

Roaches every where. Television barely worked. The beds are so uncomfortable. Couldnt shower cause there was just to many roaches in the it. They need to just close it down and renovate the while place. Ceiling and walls cracked. Just an all around bad place to stay.

I visited briefly and was somewhat impressed somewhat not. As I go many places and wear just very normal clothing to see how service is for the average customer, its interesting how businesses will treat their clientele when they are expecting someone in a suit and tie to walk up.

The room was clean. But the bathroom need work. Tub wouldnt drain so you could take a bath and shower at same time. Not for family with young children due to long term residents staying there. Continental breakfast was unsatisfactory. Only coffee and snacks from dollar general. Over all if you just needed a place to sleep this is your place for the price.

I had to stay there 3 weeks and unfortunately, I could not pay the total weekly rate of $313 all at once, so I had to pay the daily rate of$62. After 2 weeks, I started having problems coming uo with the az$667777

This motel was disgusting from the filthyto the water that would not drain in the tub 4 inches after one persons luke warm shower...the non working refrigerator had mildew inside and they do NOTHING to hold down the odor in the only downstairs room (being a smoking room) as we had a person who could not go up the stairs, what about handicapped people who dont smoke?? They quoted one price over the phone and it was $15 more when we got there...had we not been exhausted and in an Uber and seen the room first we would have NEVER stayed in this dump for $90 on a Thursday night. Dirty, disgusting and dilapidated SMH

As I walked up the stained concrete steps, I turned into a carpeted hall way with the door wedged open. I walk down it to my door. The door has what has to be the prototype for card readers on it, I slide it in and enter.I am greeted by the smell of mildew, shame, and a touch of pee. The bathroom has peeling paint and would not look out of place with a hooker passed out/dead in the tub. The chairs are original as is the alarm clock ironically bolted down, both at least as old as i am.The balcony railing is crossed steel mesh barely hanging on, the empty pool and the back of checkers fills my view.I love this place, Im going for a beer

When we got to the room, it smelled clean. I noticed they didnt vacuum very well though, as I seen someone elses food crumbs on the floor. Wifi? No. Pool? No. Tv? Yes, but remote doesnt work. Roaches? I seen one German-Roach with a egg sac. Beds? Comfortable! Bedbugs? So far, ...so good. I checked before I slept on it. Air conditioner works fine, not to noisy. Park? If you call a park with one swing fun for kids, think again. Quiet, but I felt a little uncomfortable around the parking lot, a drug dealer was standing around. Ceiling and walls cracking, but it is what it is. Id say $62 is way too much for this place, false advertisement (no pool, no wifi, no park), but Ill give it a 3.

The original room I walked into had peeled paint on the floor that had falling from the ceiling. I reported the issue to the office and with no problem my room was upgraded. The prices were fair and service was decent.

Price is great, very cheap cost me $62 with tax and all for a one bed hotel room here but the rooms arent very nice. There was roaches in both rooms I stayed at out here and I also found a big blood stain on the comforter of the second room I switched to.

The rooms were barely cleaned by the maids. One bed in my room had trash remaining from a previous guest in the sheets. The other bed had drug paraphernalia hidden under the mattress. The office staff offered me a plastic bag in which I could throw away the drug paraphernalia. No offer of a new, clean room or even a discount. After resolving these other issues, I discovered that the WiFi they claim to have online does not actually work. It barely reaches most of the rooms, and when you can connect to the network, it is completely nonfunctional. All in all, Knights Inn Gainesville offered the worst hotel experiencei have ever experienced.

Gave us a room key to a room someone else was already asleep in. That could have ended really badly, very thankful that it did not. Rooms look nothing like the pictures. However for $35 I guess I should not have expected much.

I did not like it cause they kick me out in the middle of a storm cause I told them I had money Coming to pay another night for my room and they was not hearing it so they told me I had to leave. So please dont go there in the middle of a storm. Plus I did not have any where to go in the middle of the storm thats the worst part about it.

Stayed here in January and the heater did not work. Was a miserable experience for the price but all the other hotels in the area were booked. Very sketchy people at night, and we saw a fight break out across the street shortly after checking in. We would have left if it hadnt been so late and we werent so tired from driving.

Nasty and just didn’t want to even breathe in the room u paid and for a room on 4/14/22 the shower hadn’t been touched since the place opened in 1960’s im not the high scale type but that was just sad for 95$ I want to post the pic but I can just don’t buy a room from them they seriously need to be shut down for good better off going to Scottish inn

Ya stay away. Never have i walked in a place and walked right back out lol. Came to gainesville for a car meet early in the morning. I live 2 hours away so i found a cheap place. Bugs, smelled like weed, cracked walls, damp bed cover, literal bed bugs crawling around everywhere, dirty sink, gross shower. Walked right out and came to the holiday inn. Now Im spending way more than i want to but its top quality. Gonna go to the bar and have some drinks downstairs. Then come to my nice clean bed and wake up at 7.

Where to begin. The clerk over charged the couple in front of us and tried to overcharge us as well. In the room, the paint is peeling, the laminate counter is separating, the toilet has a commercial flusher vice a tank, the bath tile is cracked and moldy. The bathroom door is too large for the frame so it wont close. The tub takes forever to drain.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Worse than hotels I have rented in Central America. Probably a step below living on the streets of Calcutta. AND NOT THAT CHEAP! For another few bucks we could have stayed at a place with functional AC and no exposed wiring. My fellow travelers were appalled enough to take pictures to forward to the authorities. They didnt take pictures of the cucarachas, as they moved much too quickly.

Overall a great and easy experience. They were very accommodating, rooms were nice, and they were very kind for letting so many bands stay/park their vans. See you all next year for Fest!

Great memories made with my baby thats why 5 stars although My g.f. left her ID and it was 1am and the gentleman at the desk let her rent the room until i could get there 2 days later with my ID . Thats having compation and heart . Thats whrn you know there are still caring ppl out there . Thank you so very much for doing this for my girl !!!!!!

Was somewhat hospitable..but there is NO wifi no ice machines that function...it was a mere roof and thats about all..clerks friendly but nothing they can or are willing to do...aside...we stayed for a week and even after the LSU/Gator game was canceled...we were still over charged for a room we later found out was going for 40$ cheaper by an employee...Im disappointed by the goughing this hotel takes part in and intend on contacting corporate to see this manager shuts this atrocity down. This hotel practices not only false advertisments but also takes advantage of those in dire need...would not stay here again..Corporate has been advised

This is were street walkers go to die. The rooms can only be described as a large gas station bathroom. With one working light bulb. If you want to drink yourself into retardation, purchase drugs, OD and wake up in a hospital this is certainly and excellent place for this recreational activity.

Nooooo dont do it... this place is a hole in the wall... black mold holes in the walls partment dirty tubs/showers nasty carpets... sleep in ur car if you have one... and dont get ice from the nasty machine and dont get a smokers room they look like a trap spot...

Their renovating and $$ is acceptable. Nothing is quite like the Hilton or Holiday Inn Express, however they have towels from those chains.😁

While it is under going a renovation, the staff is friendly and accommodating.It is near restaurants, grocery stores and pharmacies. An excellent location.last, but not least U.F. stadium is right up the road.

Cinder block construction with steel girders, it wasnt the lap of luxury but it was a great place to weather the hurricane. Staff was great and did all they could to see everyone was comfortable.

I’ve been staying there for 7 months,All staff of staff is very friendly and helpful, management is always helpful and friendly and willing to accommodate you with what you need help with.

I love this hotel. It is not fancy. However, the cost is affordable. The family owned hotel is: quiet, comfortable, safe, and friendly. Free WiFi-it does not always work though. Hotel is soo nice-just bring your own cell, and tether. In the middle of a Gainesville, FL business district-an older area of town. City bus access close by-to all over Gainesville, FL, and relatively close to the University of FL for Gator events on campus. I am a FL Gator-a UF high school and University of FL graduate-2008: Bachelor English major. I know Gainesville, FL well. I grew up here. I have stayed at hotels all over Gainesville-including the Reitz Union hotel on campus, and the Holiday Inn-across the street from UF. For the price, location, and over-all comfort-I prefer the Knights Inn.

I was there on july 11th and I left and went to get my bother to stay with me after my dad got the room in his name I paid 65.00 out my money when I show up with my bother the front desk told him he had to leave first all you cant have visiting there and the front desk clerk went straight to the office and started calling police on him wouldnt let him in the room to help me get my stuff out I was so tired and very hot just wanted some air this was

Disrespectful clerk. Im moving to Gainesville from Texas and this was the hotel closest to my new apartment... Wow... It was fun after the rude clerk... I felt warped back to the 50-60 era... I was in the back up stairs rooms... Creepy weird fun.

Horrible motel staff is rude room was dirty they lied it says free WiFi when there is no Wi-Fi at all so many plumbing issues mold in the bathroom parts of the roof look like they might cave in if you care about yourself or your family never stay here!!!

Almost got electrocuted by the only lamp that works, and the lot lizard tried to steal my chips after asking for cigarettes. Other than that it was pretty bad
