AZULENE NAILS & DAY SPA II

First, this place only has so many stars because they basically pay people to rate them. 5 stars= $5 off. Not that it will help much with the extreme prices they have. I wanted to get my nails done for vacation, I took a peice of my clothing with me to match a specific outfit. After choosing the color. The nail tech, Annie, was nearing the finish of the last gel coat (I only got gel over my natural nails that I had been growing out), it was time for the seal. Before she sealed, I had mentioned to Annie, who was my nail tech, that my polish was clumpy and goopy. She insisted that it wasnt and started speaking very fast in a different language. She called another tech over and I showed her my nails, she suggested to put sparkle over it and insisted that it was the color I picked out and not the slop job that Annie did. I decided to agreed to try the sparkle (which did not impove it by much). In anger, Annie grabbed the stand my hands were STILL resting on, resulting in them falling to the counter and continued to pack everything with haste shoving all of her equipment in her drawer and demanded that I sit and wait for someone else to do my nails. She expected me to wait AGAIN for someone to be able to finish my nails. Her frustration was evident. I understand that some times people have bad days, and Ive never posted a reveiw like this, however Ive also never been treated so badly/rude. I called the manager, Nathan, and left my number 3 times within the week, asking him to call me back so we may discuss this incident, however he never called back and was always unavailable. With as expensive as this place is, I expected more from my service. Ive also gotten several mediocre pedicures from this place, but never complained, as I understand that they were short staffed and most of the people where new, but never blatantly rude like Annie was. Ill never go back here again. With the direction the world is going now, Id rather work hard for a service that works hard for me.

I recently visited Azulene Nail Salon for a manicure and pedicure, and my experience was a mixed bag. Lets start with the positives: their pedicures are absolutely amazing. The attention to detail and the level of care they provide is top-notch. However, when it comes to manicures, particularly acrylic services, I was sorely disappointed. After leaving the salon and taking a closer look at my nails while sitting in my car, I was shocked by the poor quality of the acrylic application. It was evident that corners were cut, and the end result was far from satisfactory.Dissatisfied with the outcome, I walked back into the salon to request a refund. They wouldn’t refund the $80 for the acrylic nails. Although they offered to fix my nails, I couldnt bring myself to trust them again after the initial disappointment. Its disappointing when a service falls short of expectations, especially when youre paying for quality.On a side note, I initially requested a design for my nails, but the technician seemed uncomfortable with the idea, so I settled for a solid color with chrome instead. While this wasnt a major issue, it did contribute to the overall feeling of dissatisfaction with the experience.In conclusion, while Azulene excels in pedicures, their manicure acrylic services leave much to be desired. Proceed with caution if youre considering getting your nails done here, especially if you have specific design preferences.

Worse experience ever. I asked for a manicure and gel extension. The technician did not give me a manicure whatsoever. She did not prep my hand and simply glued the faux nail to my unprepped nails. When I asked if she was going to take my cuticles off she responded with “yeah I file later” and she sure did. She files my skin raw. Three days later all my cuticle is still there and my nails look awful. It was the most painful nail experience ever. Do not recommend!

I did my nails here and it was an amazing experience!! I did them with Rose, and she’s an amazing conversationalist, has a lot of experience and reallt cares that you leave happy with what you want. The vibes were immaculate and the customer service is super. Would come back again!!!

Loved my experience today. Came in for my birthday to get a pedi and fill and was greeted pleasantly by Rose. She took amazing care of me from start to finish. Quick and efficient, knew exactly what design I was wanting. Love my nails and definitely will be coming back.

Just had a pedicure and did a dip powder on my nails. Thanh was awesome! His attention to detail was spot on. He made sure to double check with me about every detail. He was also an awesome conversationalist. The whole experience was relaxing and great. This has been the happiest I’ve been with my nails in a long time. I’ll be definitely be going back and asking for him specifically.

Beautiful, clean, relaxing environment and services! Took me and my two daughters to get pedi’s, the staff is amazing and the services wonderful and CLEAN!! Definitely recommend! We ended up getting mani’s and a dip set nails also! Very happy! They treated my daughters like princesses and gave them the same service as myself!

Best nail salon in town! Best workers, super nice and very detailed oriented. The salon is very clean and everyone is very welcoming. Hannah is the nail tech that does my nails and I honestly have never been happier with the outcome! She is very talented and I always get compliments on them! Love this place!! I always recommend to friends and people !

Cici was absolutely incredible!! I got a gel X set and she took such good care of me! She was extremely kind and did a beautiful job on my nails. I would recommend 10 out of 10 to go again especially to Cici!!!!

Both times I have been here have been amazing. My experience was quick, and enjoyable. Little more pricey than I usually pay but they are worth it! I’ve had both Alex and with Nathan and they’re the best!

Donny did such a good job with my short, sharp, Catseye acrylics! Im in love with them and the service was fantastic! Definitely going back

JULY 2024 - POOR, SHODDY PEDICUREONE OF THE WORST PEDICURES IVE GOTTEN. EVER.DONT BE FOOLED BY THE NICE DECORATIONS AND INTERIOR OF THE SHOP.My pedicure was a total of 20 min from start to finish.No exaggeration here, the massage was about 45 sec per leg.The guy who did my nails did not paint them appropriately, so someone came to fix them. Instead of taking the polish off, they layered it 4 times......resulting in thick polish that came out uneven and sloppy (ESPECIALLY on big toe). ***SEE PHOTOS*****The WHOLE time, they were all talking in their language - extremely unprofessional and rude.**After the pedicure, there was no way i was going to let the same person do the gel manicure on my hands.I LEFT AND DO NOT PLAN ON RETURNING.

Overall experience was good. Very nice atmosphere and most of the staff is very kind! If you do go here, try to not go to Mimi. After being a loyal customer here and specifically booking with Mimi for months, there was a disagreement over the length of my natural nails and whether or not they were long enough to deem an extra charge. After discussing with the manager, it was decided the extra charge would not be applied. Mimi got angry over this decision and told me to never book with her again and that she would never service me again. After this negative experience, I will not be returning.

AZULENE NAILS & DAY SPA II is a great little place off of celebration. As a man, it is a great service and when I go with female friends they have a good experience as well. I personally recommend any of the fruit options for pedicures (I have not done any manicures). They are more on the expensive side, but if you are willing to pay a little more, it is a worthwhile experience, I recommend, 8.5/10.

Im done going here. Just leave disappointed with the poor quality. The guys that work there are way too rough, always leave my nails looking awful. Either bubbles in the acrylics or leaving my hands bloody when taking them off. They cant shape my nails. I had to ask several times to fix their work. Just got it acrylics removed and there is still so much acrylic left on my nail beds! So frustrating!!

I have been in Florida since November and was so afraid to go to someone new for a pedicure because of my in grown toe nails. I had read some other reviews and decided to give Rose a chance. I am so glad I did, not only was she very friendly but she listened to my concerns. She was very gentle that I barely knew she was getting the in grown nails out. I am definitely pleased with my trip to Azulene and with Rose, I will only come here to see her from now on!

This is an edited review.While this place is nice and overall a great experience, the product used is cheap and not worth what you pay. I want to start by saying the salon was very a beautiful, calming atmosphere. I had amazing experience and the artist was so sweet. But the pricing of this set cost me 135. I was a little shock I thought I would at least pay $70-85. It was a normal set and a simple design. I did not receive a hand massage there was nothing special about this set. This set does not look like it cost 135 but other wise I did have a good experience.

This was probably the worst quality of manicure that I ever got. My gel nails hardly lasted 1 week…they never let me choose the color I wanted and when I said a shade of pink the lady gave me two options. The language was a barrier but someone should have stepped in to help me communicate with the tech who spoke very little English.Coming from NJ, the nail polish the use is super cheap!!!! My nails never chip after a manicure, but they’re chipping everywhere 😭

I come here to get my acrylics done with Mimi and she is always amazing, and Nathan the manager is such a great person and does a fantastic job with that place! I had to edit this review after my facial today to include Cadence, and the incredible experience I had with her today. I did the hydra-microderm and my skin is so plump and GLOWING. She also massaged my neck, arms, head and scalp and if the conversation hadn’t of been so wonderful I would have absolutely dozed off - everything was just incredible! Cannot recommend this place more!!

Emmy was the BEST!! She was so meticulous and took her time with my set. Im so excited to go back to have her do my next set. Overall the staff were so nice and kind and I think Ive found my new nail place!!

My experience in this salon is the worst experience I have ever had in a salon. The people were nice, but did not listen to the requests that I made. I had issues with my toenails being polished one color and when I pointed out that the color was incorrect, the tech dismissed me and told me it was correct. I had to physically put the color choices on top of my toes and show her that the color was incorrect and that it was labeled incorrectly on the bottle. Then the tech completing my nails shaped them crooked and when I pointed it out she told me she would fix it and didn’t. I asked for a cat eye polish and she deliberately ignored my request. After being there for three hours without being satisfied, no one would own up to the mistakes. The ambiance was amazing (5 stars) but the lack of listening to the customer (AKA customer service which I would rate 1 star) should have been better. I now am leaving to go to a new salon that will listen to my requests to make me happy for my purchase.

The staff was so nice! Their tools were all bagged and seemed sterile. I had Emmy and she was so kind! She was very meticulous and did great work :)

Very disappointed in my recent experience. Ive gone here when I used to live in Ocala and continued to go occasionally in Gainesville. Ive gotten fancier services and treated much better but this last time I just got a basic pedicure and it was like a completely different experience, although part of it could have been the technician I got who seemed new. To start with when we arrived my mom asked if complimentary wine comes with every service because this was for my birthday and we were told it was but then I never received any, which is okay its not a big deal but then I sit down and am told I have no nail. I wont fault the technician for the paint job being mediocre because I had just clipped my toe nails so I understand it wasnt a lot to work with. Then not long into the service he mentioned how pale I am and I need the sun. I laughed and agreed and he continued to suggest ways I could get sun but I just brushed it off. Then when finishing up the paint job I noticed he was using his nail to clean the edges which isnt the cleanest but I didnt care at first, until he accidentally cut me under my nail by trying to swipe underneath it but keep in mind my nails are short so theres no nail to go under. He did spray my toes with alcohol before and after which helped relieve my fears of infection and thats when I noticed the stinging underneath my toes but I just thought it wasnt very clean or professional. Then right at the end when we are finished he tries to pull down my jeans over my calfs which I didnt ask for and says they are too tight and I proceed to pull them down myself. At the end this was about $64 not including tip. Im giving three starts because Ive gone other times and was treated much better but today I left actually feeling embarrassed and worse about myself. Im someone who can take a joke but Im a little insecure because I just had a baby in the last year and am not too happy with my appearance and this was supposed to be a birthday gift. Instead I left with a mediocre paint job and wondering “was my technician just joking around or did I just pay to get insulted?” after a little while comments can sort of add up, first the no nails, then pale skin, then jeans being too tight. Overall I dont think I will come back because there are much cheaper places to get a simple pedicure but I do think if you pay for the more expensive services you get treated better and if you make sure to choose a good technician you will be treated fine. It just sucks Ive been a customer since I was a teenager back in Ocala and i actually decided after this last appointment I wasnt gonna come back. Started my birthday off on the wrong foot :(

Love this nail salon! Emmy is my nail tech , she does both my full set and pedicures, she does amazing gentle, detailed work, nails are alway looking fresh !My sister sees Annie for her nails … both ladies do excellent work, keep us laughing and coming back !

I had the most AMAZING half a day at the spa. Cadence gave me the most relaxing facial I’ve ever had, she is so sweet and very professional, you can tell she really knows what she is doing and cares about you. Rose did my toes! She was adorable and friendly, easy to talk to and made my nails gorgeous again!!Thank you ladies ❤️

Says different prices than what was said by receptionist and super hostile. Did an uneven file on my nails but was confused as to why I wanted her to file more. She was acting so obtuse that I had to pick up the nail file and show her what I wanted. She also manhandled me during the manicure for simply asking her questions.They expect you to let them treat you horribly and feel uncomfortable for asking questions even though we’re are PAYING for the service!They unfortunately were not aware I spoke vietnamese and they spoke negatively about me and others in vietnamese

Lani has been doing my nails for a while now, and she is the best nail tech I’ve ever had for doing designs! It is true that she does not speak much English, but I haven’t had any problems. I usually show her a picture of what I am requesting, and she executes designs to where they are even better than the pictures! It is expensive so definitely expect that, but you get what you pay for.

Partner and I needed a last minute pedi and mani for an event. They got us in quickly. I did get gel nails but it was a waste. 2 days later, they were chipped. I dont live in the area, so I couldnt go back and have it repaired.Never been to a salon that charged for wine. (First glass was complimentary)

Great place. Everyone was nice. Love my mani and pedi. The wine was a great additionIve now been coming here since July and I love it!! Cici is my technician and shes amazing. She does great designs and knows my taste. Shes very friendly and gives great hand and foot massages. She takes me on the same day I call for an appointment and I rarely wait. Very happy I found this salon..

I enjoyed the facial, and the manicure and pedicure were excellent. However, I was slightly disappointed that the gel on my nails only lasted a week. By day three, the nail polish was already coming off. Unfortunately, the massage was my least favorite ever.

Very clean and professional. I had got a massage and it was very relaxing and the masseuse applied a good amount of pressure.

I knew from the Google photos I would not be disappointed. Alex was my nail tech and that girl is extremely talented and was made for this craft. Expressed my need of not wanting to use acrylics and she still went off.Personable, and patient. Glad I found my new home and will definitely be returning soon.

Rude, does not listen to requests being made, charges extra for length of nails and shortening nails. Incompetent nail techs that cannot do designs and does not admit that they are not qualified to do designs. Argues with customer. Very unpleasant f. Would steer clear from this place. Refuses to fix nor refund purchase. Unsatisfactory is the nicest thing to say about this place.

Last photo is day one and the first 4 are day 5. I am honestly so disappointed and had such high hopes going in. The gentlemen doing my nails did the absolute bare minimum and the heart that was done on my nails is smudged and also just looks weird. I paid 80$ for this and I came asking if there is anything they could do and they said no and were a little rude about it not listening to anything I had to say. Day 1 you can see that he didn’t even do the acrylics all the way to my finger and the nail doesn’t even reach both sides of the nail you could still see my natural nail all the way around. Didn’t expect them to be so cheap but should’ve known from them charging me for every little thing they could. Don’t recommend at all.

John did my nails and he did such a great job! I showed him the design I wanted and he did it even better than the picture. I’ve never had such beautiful nails! I will definitely be going back and having him do my nails again.

Hannah is AMAZING!!! She is the only person I will go to in Gainesville. She takes her time, is a perfectionist, and makes sure you are happy before doing your other nails. She is also so sweet and makes it such a pleasant experience. When a few of my nails had chipped, I went back and she fixed them up no issue ☺️

Yesterday I went to Azulene Day Spa II for a full set of acrylic nails. The professional (Name: Lam) who did my nails had a bad attitude and was disrespectful to me. He did a horrible job at doing my nails. First before he did anything, I showed him a picture of how I wanted my nails done. He didnt do it how I wanted it, and so when I told him it was wrong, he got annoyed and angry. When he was using the dremel, he was injuring my skin badly that I started to even bleed. I told the front desk about it, but they didnt do anything about it. My skin is now infected because of it. I do like the place, but the service is horrible. I do not recommend this place. It was my worst experience ever. 😞

Pedicures Yes, Acrylics No.When it comes to pedicures, this salon delivers 10/10. However, I wouldn’t recommend it for acrylic nails. My acrylic fill turned out bulky, and the polish application looked downright terrible. I had to request a different polish color because the surface of my nails wasn’t smooth—a basic expectation for any nail service. While the service for pedicures remains decent, I cannot overlook the quality when it comes to acrylic nails.

I am so happy that I decided to walk into Azulene Nails & Day Spa II because I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Rose! She is amazing! Not only is she a great nail tech, she is a great conversationalist as well! She also did a great job on my brows and Im picky! I appreciate her kindness! A total pleasure to work with!

I will definitely never return, while the place is nice, the prices are ridiculous and dont match the website. I paid $10 for what they say extra length is. You would expect long nails right. They said extra length is anything past your finger tips. So yes I wont return to this establishment. I will go around the corner and wait fir a decent nail salon thats not in celebration pointe. I dont drink wine thats not really complementary when youre paying for EXTRA LENGTHS for short nails.

The service was phenomenal! Nancy did an amazing job with my pedicure. It was super relaxing. The entire staff was welcoming and friendly. If you havent been there I recommend you at least try them. You will thank me later. I am definitely sticking with Azulene, they won me over. I am a satisfied customer!

Rose did a great job on my pedicure. Im 7 months pregnant and the massage and lemon treatment helped so much with the swelling Ive been dealing with. I will definitely be coming back to see her soon :)

My daughter is very picky and our nail technician Alex did a great full set of acrylics and design on each nail and was patient and kind. They turned out beautifully. She really took her time! Highly recommend!

I wanted to really enjoy the luxury experience and quality of the nails, but it has been overshadowed by the sneaky $20 extra charge for lotion and massage that I did not ask for. It was just done and implied it was a part of the package I bought, then I saw it was added on at the end. Also the gentleman servicing my nails, although very nice, cut one of my toes while filing/buffing the nail. You can see the scab in photo. The toenail was also cut too short. Now 1 week later my gel nails are already chipping on my hands. Normally they last at least 2-3 weeks at other places. Very disappointing. This was not worth $100+. Im just going to learn how to do my own nails.

Cadence was absolutely amazing. Made me feel so comfortable for my facial and back scrub, and it was so relaxing! I will be going back to her VERY often from here on out!! 20/10 do recommend to everyone!!

I splurged for the deluxe spa pedicure and felt like a queen! Very clean and courteous staff! Will be back for sure!

First of all...if I could I would give this place zero stars. On 4/27/2019, my daughter and I went to Azulene in Gainesville for 2 “Queen for the day” spa packages. This included a facial, massage, mani and pedi. Azulene calls itself a “Spa” but it is more of a mani/pedi place. During our facial, you can hear the employees laughing and talking on the hallway outside out room (not much of a quiet relaxing place!). I was not able to get my massage because there was only one masseuse available. I did not want my daughter to have to wait for me! The point was for both of us to have a “day at the Spa”. I paid an extra $20 for both of us to have a Gel manicure. Both of our Gel manicures was a disaster. I was attending a very special event out of town a few days after the mani (the reason to have a gel!) and by the day of the event, more than half of my nails had not nail polish (and I was at a place where I could not get another mani!). Needless to say, it was embarrassing to show my nails! See the photos below!!! The first nail polish to go (and I mean the whole nail in one piece) happen 2 days after the Mani. I was still in Gainesville and was able to get it fixed. The next day (already on my way to the event), 2 nails chipped (and I did nothing…was just sitting in a car). By the time I arrived at the location, 3 nails were bad….and so forth. The same thing happened to my daughter’s nails (and we had different employees doing our nails!). When I arrived back in Gainesville, I stopped at Azulene and asked for a refund on my mani’s (just the mani’s….I paid a total of $399, so just wanted a small portion of what I paid). I showed them the photos..The refused to give me the refund. They wanted to give me a credit! Why would I want another mani from them!!!! I needed my mani to be nice for my event, instead I got embarrassed! Please ladies….DO NOT EVER HAVE YOUR NAILS DONE HERE!!!

John (handsome) is amazing and really makes sure he takes his time to makes your nails perfection! He does whatever design your pin test heart desires! 10/10 will be coming back! Thank you John!

Several unique spa-like services available to choose from when getting a pedicure. The lavender-orange scrub/massage was amazing. Staff is friendly & takes their time- Highly recommend!

I go to Lani to get the B nails in the town and Kandi for the best pedicure! It was hard finding quality service coming from a larger city. Lani does not miss and can do anything you show her.

Cici was fantastic! Worked with me on my dip polish color, modifying to make it the perfect bubble gum pink for me and testing it on me first before proceeding. Very pleasant during my while experience including my coconut pedi. Highly recommend her!!

So right off the bat Im not normally the type of person to do this. The experience itself all in all was wonderful. The people were friendly, despite me and my friend running late, more so than we anticipated, they took us in and got to work right away. I enjoyed it a lot actually. My only issue is that three of the nails on my right hand were ripped off halfway. The first nail happened one week after getting them done. The next two were done Tuesday of this week, and today marks the second week since getting them done. For $60 in my hands alone I wouldnt expect them to break so easily, especially so soon. This is a first time for it happening to me, but working as a server, I can stand by what Ive experienced. Its a shame really.

Got my nails done here for my wedding. Tony was amazing! Did exactly what I showed him a picture of for inspiration and paid so much attention to detail. A little expensive but well worth it for an occasion!

1 day after getting my nails done - ALL of them are cracked2 days after getting my nails done - the gel has cracked off in piecesI was excited to go here as it’s very clean, has a friendly staff, and came recommended. The manicure was very good and I was extremely happy with the results when I left. However, the day after getting my nails done, ALL (and I mean every single nail) had cracks in the gel. I’ve gotten gel numerous times at another salon and it usually lasts me around 4 weeks. IT IS THE SECOND DAY. 2 days after getting my nails done, I notice pieces have cracked off my nail. I’m extremely disappointed with the quality of products they use. I paid $48 for a service I usually pay $20 for at home - which actually stays on my nails for weeks.Conclusion, I won’t be returning. If you want nails that last, I’d look elsewhere.

Great experience!I made an appointment a few days before and decided the morning of that I couldn’t wait any longer and they graciously moved my appointment up by an hour. I wanted to treat myself with a full set and marble on each (which does add up).The woman who did my nails did an amazing job applying the full set and was very detail oriented. She also attempted to do the marble effect but it didn’t turn out right the first time, so I asked for all white instead.. but they didn’t take no as an answer and another gentleman came and did my nails over again, and I love them! Thank you so much! 🥰

Love this spa! I had a Lemon drop pedicure and a gel manicure today with Donnie. He did an amazing job, and was super friendly! Will definitely be back to see him again!

Loved my experience here! Azulene offers all types of services from hair, to nails, to body and they keep a high customer service standard I haven’t seen anywhere else in Gainesville, let alone Florida. Their prices are on the higher end, but the care and attention they put into your comfort, experience & quality of work are well worth the tag. Highly recommend a visit.

Had the most amazing manicure experience. Made an appointment with Nathan based on a friends recommendation and SO glad I did! He took the time to listen to the design I wanted, perfectly applied dip powder and gave my awful cuticles the attention they needed! The salon is immaculate and every employee was kind! I’ll definitely be returning!

Awful service and poor quality. My friend and I made appointments for a gel manicure and a pedicure. We were rushed to select a color. At first we weren’t allowed to even sit next to one another. I requested a simple design from the nail tech in honor of graduating from UF. As I explained the design it was clear she was mocking me with other nail techs. I could have done something like this at home… very poor attention to detail. Receptionists were not friendly at all. The gel application was poorly done in general.

Azulene is a beautiful day spa and Tony was incredible. He made my entire experience so wholesome and I would absolutely use him again. Although I have used Azulene before for other services, I felt that my gel manicure with small designs was quite pricey at $63. I don’t mind paying for great service and good quality but it did catch me off guard. I will be back!

I was their first customer! I usually go to the Ocala location but one employee told me about this one opening and it was on the same day I would be in Gainesville, so I went because I love Azulene in Ocala and I love how they do my nails. And the building is beautiful! I would highly recommend.

Ive been here several times, and have only ever had great experiences. My pedicure today was extra amazing. The Lemon Drop. But Ive had a massage here too,and loved it as well. Definitely my go to nail shop!

What a lovely find! Great manicure and awesome pedicure - if you want to feel pampered get the 75 min pedicure. It’s heavenly!

My nail tech lam was very rough with my pedicure and manicure. He cut my cuticle on my toe and rubbed acetone on it before he painted my toes. He was sweating profusely and was rushing through my nail manicure had to take several breaks to wipe sweat off. He used the drill to sculpt my nail after the set and was super hot and burned the cuticle line on my hand. He left pink acrylic under my nails and nails stuck to the skin underneath. He charged me for a manicure on top of a full nail set but still many hanging cuticles, used acrylic even though I asked for dip powered, he never dipped my nails into a pot he used liquid and brush. I showed him a picture of Johns work at that exact same salons Instagram and he said he didn’t know who John was and can do the same design- did some lines on my nails and tried to say it was the same! After telling him how unhappy I was he still overcharged me for the set and the design of a few lines even though he stated that he applied an unhappy customers discount $180! I’m highly disappointed with my experience at this salon with such high reviews and reputation. Lam is too rough and speedy sweating to work on clients.

A friend recommended Azulene and I was not disappointed. I had a facial, massage, manicure and pedicure. Everyone was friendly and kind. Making an appointment was very straightforward. Everything was clean and sanitary. I was relaxed and satisfied with all my services. Cadence for my facial, Jacklyn for my massage, and I got beautiful designs done on my nails from Emmy. I will be coming back often.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. The service I got was Dip. Upon getting there we went to pick our colors. The nail tech assigned to me, Cassie, came up to get me and as I was not ready and still picking colors along with my roommate I asked for more time. She tried to take the colors and go to her desk, but my roommate was still looking at colors so she needed to see them too. She rushed off with an attitude. After she came back, she was incredibly passive aggressive. She thinned my nails to the point where one broke and I asked if she wasnt being a bit too harsh and immediately blamed it on me saying that it was my nail. My nails are very strong as I do not bite them and take care of them so they do not break very easily. I did not ask for a new nail tech because I did not want to cause a scene. Within 12 hours of getting the service, my first nail chipped. I called them immediately as I would be out of town for the next few days. They said that once I got back I could go and get it fixed, but only by the nail tech that did them. By day 4, 5 of my nails had broken. I got back today and called them. They refused to offer me any help even though my nail tech had told me that if I had any issues and I was out of town I could call and go beyond the three-day policy period. My nails broke in the first day and they still refused to be any help or try to fix the situation.

I’ve been to this place 3 times and I have never really been happy with the outcome. First times for nails, the acrylics were done too thick even though I specifically said to not make them so thick. The last time I went for a sports massage (only bc I have a gift card from this place unfortunately). I’ve been getting sports massages for 20 years now by professionals, this was NOT it. Even though I specifically said that it doesn’t do it for me when it’s not deep, this massage was the softest massage I’ve ever gotten. The massage sucked. I hate that there’s still about $100 left on that gift card.

I love coming here! It’s a nice clean and relaxed environment! I was having a rough morning and decided to go do some self-care! The tech I usually see wasn’t working this day so I asked the girls up front who’d they recommend and the said Mimi! They did not disappoint neither did she! Ms Mimi understood the assignment! Great experience! I don’t get my nails done often so I made a mistake with the way I booked my appointment online. However, the nail techs were so accommodating and made sure I got the nails I wanted even though they had to reorganize their appointments due to the busy Easter holiday weekend.

Probably my worst experience ever getting my nails done. I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the workers were nice and courteous. I am not picky with getting my nails done; I just get regular French. The lady seemed like she was rushing on me and she did a bad job; while some nails looked good, most of them were uneven and sloppy. One nail was noticeably bad where the white tip was all over the place. One nail I asked her to fix because I noticed it and she seemed like she didn’t understand what I was asking or was annoyed. When she was finished she immediately left the building and didn’t even tell me how long to dry or say anything before leaving. Other workers were nicer.I am not picky with my nails and even though this place has bad reviews I thought it’d be fine. It definitely was not fine and this is my worst experience ever getting my nails done

My last time here, my daughter and I had an amazing experience with CiCi and Cindy. This was our first time here. 3 days ago, I made an appointment with CiCi and Cindy. When I was making the appointment, we had to do 3pm since thats when the both of them were available. When my daughter and I got there at our appointed time, CiCi took my daughter back, and then I was taken back to the chair beside my daughter. They only had freezing cold water, said their hot water was broke... ok, we will adjust. Then a lady came and sat in front of me, and it was not Cindy. I asked who she was, and she smiled. I didnt want to be rude, so I sat there, and the lady clearly didnt know what she was doing. When she finished the paint job, it was absolutely horrible and looked like a 5 year old did it. When I went up to pay for our service, I said how disappointed I was, especially not having who I made the appointment with. She said oh we are sorry. Cindy was busy. Then come to find out the lady I was stuck with was new and has been there for 2 days. The manager When I asked to speak with them was not available! Never again!!! 56.00 for a horrible job... just beware of going here.

Ive gone to the same nail techs for 3 years I was nervous about going somewhere new someone told me to try them out they would be good I get there I get taken by a guy he starts with my nails then stops and makes me go to somebody else mind you his only put on the tips then I go to another gentleman name John I had to wait for him to do a fill after they had put me in this chair to get started which took an hour then he was very friendly and nice but they dont tell you any additional fees while they do it usually when I get my nails done its about 60 bucks I got charged 82 50 for the full set then an additional 10 for shape 15 for length and five for the artwork I dont mind paying the thing I do mind is if theres additional charges the tech should tell you.. instead of just doing it.. but the big thing was starting with someone then getting sent somewhere else to wait I shouldve got a discount or something for having to go through all of it..

I had the gel delux Pedi and delux mani. Service was so good, staff was friendly and helpful. I was assisted with paying at check out since it was my first visit. Highly recommend. Oh, and totally relaxing, I almost fell asleep!!

I cannot believe it took me so long to find someone that can actually do nails and take pride in their job. Alex is amazing. The staff is awesome and the cleanliness is beyond my expectations. She took her time yes it was pricey but you get what you pay for. I will be a forever client as long as she’s there.

The first couple times Id been to this spa was a great experience, but my most recent visit was not at all. I had an appointment at 5:30pm, I arrived at 5:35, and the nail tech I had an appointment with was with someone else(obvious she had already been with her for a bit). At 6 Im told its going to be another 15 minutes and offered a glass of wine so I patiently waited, no biggie. At 6:30 the tech had to walk by me to get polish and apologized saying shes almost done. Then I waited an additional 15 minutes before deciding to leave at 6:45 feeling Id been patient long enough. Im not hard to please and always try to be understanding, but if you know its going to take you an hour to finish, please just ask me to reschedule. I live almost an hour away.

I went there to just get color, but it was a girls day so I decided to try something new and get extensions. Unfortunately because the nail tec knew it was my first time getting fake nails he took full advantage of that. Typically at most salons you wont be charged separately for gel polish and acrylic nails, by definition I wasnt even given acrylic nails. I WAS given the plastic nail extensions but not actual acrylic nails. Not once did I see a brush dipped in powder and liquid. (I did a lot of research after this experience.) My natural nails and the fake nails also had a gap between them. If your nails look like mine do, all lumpy and misshapen, take them in and ask them to fix it. For me its too late to fix it, these nails are long gone and I have beautiful actual acrylics from Classy Nails.ALSO. Expect to get blindsided at every turn on prices. Their website is different from their in store services! Theyll hand you this huge menu of services when youre in house.The store itself is beautiful and luxurious. Its unfortunate they have employees producing this kind of poor quality.

Went yesterday to get festive nails with my 5 month old. My daughter is normally chill in public, but yesterday she was not. The tech I had was so nice and helpful helping with trying to calm my baby down while she was crying. And she killed my nails. Can’t wait to come back! (without the baby lol)

I have been to the Azulene in Ocala for years and I absolutely love it. From getting my eyebrows done to getting manicure and pedicures, I have always had a good experience. I was very excited to take my friend here because every time I’ve been, it has been great. This time however was different. Ken was rushing my pedicure, massaging two legs at once. When the pedicure was over, I told him I needed my gel fingernail polish removed, of which I told the lady I front I needed at the very beginning. I guess he didn’t know. Which was fine, but then he started using the electric filer which was hurting me. I asked him politely if he could just soak them off with acetone, and tin foil, which is what they always do. He did not do this, but instead just had my nails soak in an bowl with acetone which I just though was really unprofessional and uncomfortable to me. He finished one hand, and then when he was doing the other hand (which was not even completely ready to be scraped off) he began saying “you should’ve said this earlier. I have another client that is here and this is taking way too long.” I told him “I told the lady at the front at the very beginning I needed this done. How is this my fault?” He kept going back and forth with me, being really mean to me, and was even talking about me to his coworker right in front of me, and I heard everything he was saying. I finally got up, with my hand still looking like this (the picture below). I told him I will pay for what was done, but since he was so mean to me, that I was not going to tip him (which is very unlike me because I ALWAYS over tip, especially at Azulene) The girl at the front (she had purple hair) was very sweet to me, however. Ken then proceeded to come up to me and told me that I couldn’t complain about my nails because I got up, and did not once apologize. But why would I sit there, when he is scraping my actual nail off since the nail polish wasn’t fully ready to be removed, and that he was being extremely mean and disrespectful to me? I would much rather leave with my nails looking like this, then him ruining my actual nails and being treated so poorly. I have never been spoken to the way he did by anyone, especially by anyone at Azulene. I will NEVER be back here. Which is really upsetting since I have been going to the one in Ocala for over ten years and have never had an bad interaction. I am not the type to leave a bad review because I honestly have never had an extremely bad experience anywhere, but this situation is very different. I have never been treated this way by anyone, especially a loyal, paying customer.

This is the first time I was disappointed in my pedicure!! SANDY IS TRASH!!! The entire pedicure was lackluster from the massage to the paint job. I told her that my toes looked dull and all she done was spray water on them. So she called another coworker and this one explained to her what my complaint was and what does SANDY DO? You guessed it SPRAYED SOME MORE WATER!! Pissed cause I just wasted $90

Just stopped in and had my nails done by Nathan. I came in with a picture of what I wanted and he did an amazing job to make that happen! They look exactly how I wanted. He was also very professional and personable! I definitely recommend Azulene Day Spa, and if you go, ask for Nathan!

Beware and double check prices before walking in they are not transparent about their prices. It cost me over $80 for a pedicure that is way too much money for any pedicure. The menu they hand you when you sit down is added on extras not the price for actual pedicures. And the gentleman who did my pedicure skipped a lot of steps I feel like he just wanted to rush me oout the door

Received a massage from Cindy and it was one of the best massages Ive ever received. I would highly recommend booking a massage with her but keep in mind she only works Wednesday, Friday & Saturday. The only suggestion I have is to offer spa music during your treatment, it was too quiet. Thank you Cindy!

I am new in town and decided to try this salon since it was highly rated. The nail salon is nice,but after two days my gel polish started chipping. I have never had that happen before. For the price of the pedicure the quality is not there. I will find somewhere else to fix my gel polish/ toe nail.

The service is generally good. However, I had one technician who was surprisingly rude the other day. I showed her a picture of a nail design with different colors. She brought different completely different colors, and when I told her that they don’t match, she asked me to pick colors quickly and not to waste her time because she has other appointments coming up!! I was in complete shock!! Unfortunately I did not end up getting what I want and that was a very bad experience.

The same day that I do my nails they just broke and they fix one the next day for me, literally I have 6 day that they done for me and almost 5 nail are broke completely and I pay 45 just for that. I dont like the service there, first and last one.

I had an appointment for a deep tissue massage and and VIP pedicure when I arrived the receptionist said the massage therapist was behind, his appointment before me was running late. I asked how long she said 10 minutes. It ended up being 45 minutes late. This after I received three text messages that wanted to be sure I was on time. They never offered to have me do the pedicure first. This place is run like a nail salon and I would recommend you going to an actual spa for a massage.

I get my dip nails done by Lani and she is the best! She does the best almond shape I’ve ever gotten and she can do any design you want. She is super talented. i can’t recommend her enough! It took me a long time to find a nail tech I like and she kills it every time.

Great atmosphere, relaxing, and inviting. They service alcohol but dont always offer it to you, so youll need to ask for it. Pedicures are wonderful! They are expensive and upcharge for everything. They dont tell you about upcharges until you check out and the service is already completed, which forces you to pay for it anyways. So if you are on a budget, go somewhere else.

Great services and clean environment! My only reason for 4 stars is because they are not clear on pricing. EVERYTHING is additional and unfortunately due to the language barrier it is extremely hard to understand what exactly your going to pay for before getting the service.

I went to wax my eyebrows and they were very quick and saw me right away. Very good, for my pedicure it was very fast enjoyed the basic pedicure but I think the person I had was going a bit too fast, it’s very luxurious place yet I didn’t feel it was.To be honest I’ve gone to a lesser known shop and feel like a million bucks coming out….here I didn’t, maybe a Quarter million 🤣Also, I asked for student discount twice but my receipt isn’t itemized so not sure if it was reflected. Shop around for nails and pedicures sometimes we don’t need all the fancy glam at spas, but I would go back for a facial we will see how that goes!

We were in town from Atlanta. The place seemed nice but they were not honest about their prices. I asked them how much for a full set of nails and they said $35. When the bill came it was $55. They told me that I got acrylic and gel (all I got was normal gel nails). They were totally dishonest about their prices. We are used to higher prices in Atlanta but this was extreme. Buyer beware! They will tell you one thing and then run your bill up with add ons. Not cool!!

The nail tech I had cut my cuticles so much I was bleeding on multiple toes and I asked for alcohol to clean it and hold pressure to stop the bleeding. She ignored me and put lotion on it instead and kept going. Then put acetone on it saying that was alcohol when the bottle said on it acetone. Will not be back here again since she clearly is not certified to to do that and didnt even understand the difference between alcohol and acetone.

Overall I like this salon. However I realized my experience depends on who service me. Massage and facial was great however my perdicure and manicure was trash it was a guy. I dont know his name so next time Ill just ask for a female, from my experience woman are more gentle and prideful in their work and not to mention he added on charges that didnt apply and he acted like he was doing me a favor by changing it and charging me the correct price

Thank you nathan for fixing my nails after the first person did a messy job. They care about their customers, and their satisfaction.

I called and was quoted 37 for the gel mani and 20 for the basic pedi. When I got cashed out I was charged 22 for the pedi and 37+20 for the mani eventhough I specified when I called that I wanted the total cost WITH GEL for the mani. On top of that when I cashed out there was no mention of 1.50 surcharge for my card use. If I was made aware of that WHEN I CALLED FOR A QUOTE I wouldve brought cash instead. Now, the young lady who actually did the mani and pedi did a great job. She was very polite, calm, and took care of me. I wont be back solely because of the HUGE price difference. I felt ROBBED for a simple pedicure and a gel manicure.

My family came in town to visit and they were more than happy to fit us in. The staff was very welcoming and made sure we were comfortable throughout the entire service. The facility is clean and relaxing. Will definitely be back!

I got my nails done by Nathan and he did absolutely amazing! I couldnt ask for better spooky season nails. He was not only social with me which made me feel very comfortable but he is also very talented and funny! The price for my gel coffin shape acrylic nails were around $75 including a design on all nails but it very much worth it. Highly recommend this place will be coming again in the future.

Poorly treated; all four of us. Not only were our Pedi’s low quality, but only one of us (out of 4) got the foot massage that was (supposed to be) included in the pedi we selected which was not the basic. There was one good tech - the other three did not do a good job and they were rude. My nails were cut crooked, not filed and the skin was not properly pumiced - I have to go back (somewhere else) and get this redone.I was embarrassed I took out of town guests to this venue :-( I don’t mind paying higher prices / if the quality and level of service delivers - they did not come close to mediocre standards.

I just love how nice everyone is here, I never have to wait. They have a lot of color options too. And the pedicure chairs are super clean.Oh and Vi gives the best pedi massages.

Best one I’ve found so far that makes my Shellac gel nails right and they last longer and the pedicure is so relaxin with a diversity of smells packages , is not the cheapest but is quality.

I had the most amazing experience at the spa. I had a pedicure today and I had a full set of acrylics. The gentleman that took care of me today his name is Tony and he is absolutely amazing. Very very detailed very thorough takes his time very professional. I have never had a pedicure like I did today and it was the deluxe and he treated me like I was getting top-of-the-line pedicure. The application of my full set acrylics was also absolutely amazing. I have never ever had a set of nails look so fantastic as I did when I walked out of that nail spa today. I was so happy with my experience with Azulene! I came in needing a fill and pedicure; I hadn’t been happy with my previous nail techs, and I remember my friend goes here for her nails. everyone was very nice and friendly! I had made an appointment to get a fill and a pedicure with Annie, but upon meeting and talking with her she told me she couldn’t do the nails that I wanted. Instead of turning me away or just making me get a plane polish they made sure to put me with somebody who could do the pink and white ombre! I ended up with Lani, and couldn’t have been happier! My nail shape was perfect and my pink and white ombré was perfect! I will definitely be returning, as well as recommending!

The salon is beautiful and clean.The only downside to me was that they charged me for blowout service that I was never asked for and it’s expensive $$$So make sure you ask for the price before service.

Cici did a wonderful job! She is great to get to talk to, and she is very skilled in her craft. Cici gave me exactly the nails that I wanted, and she was very excited to do them!

My powder dip & gel pedicure was great! I was seated quickly at my appointment time and my technician was very nice. Very clean & calm atmosphere.

Was hopeful for this nail salon to offer good nail service but unfortunately, they were not good. There was minimal communication between my nail tech and myself - she started cutting my nails very short before asking me what I wanted. I wanted round shaped nails and the nails are not rounded well at all. It has only been 2 days and the gel polish is already starting to lift off my nails. Sadly, I won’t be returning to this nail salon. Would not recommend going here.

Hannah did an amazing job on my gel pedicure and gel manicure. All of the staff are welcoming and very helpful. The establishment itself is very clean and has a nice ambiance. It was the most relaxing pedicure ever!

Very nice amenities. My Technition was ok. My nails look great but she was kind of rough with me. Maybe because I’m a guy. I will try another Technition in the future. I would have appreciated a little more attention to detail. Amazing facilites and the manager was very nice.

I came in from MD for work & called at 7pm to see if they would have time to remove my gel polish and cut my nails down since they closed at 8pm. I was told that as long as I come by 715pm they could take care of me. I got there at like 712pm & the guy rushed through my nails as if they were closing at 730pm. He was texting during my service, rough, and ran out as soon as I finished. The owner apologized once I complained and I told him Id be back the next day for a pedicure. He ensured me that Id get one of the best nail techs for my pedicure. The guy did great on the pedicure itself but didnt do good on my polish at all. Overall it was just ok & Ill have to have my regular nail techs where I live in MD redo both.

I truly have never left a review online. I’ve thought about it for many great businesses before, but really felt it necessary today to share how exceptional my pedicure experience was. Bought the fruit (pineapple) pedicure package and it was easily the best pedicure I’ve ever had. Jason was excellent. Will definitely be back and try other salon services as well.

I had the absolute best experience at Azulene. I’ve been to other nail salons in Gainesville, and they just don’t measure up. I went with my friend, and we both agreed this was one of the best manicures and pedicures we’ve EVER had. Both of our techs were extremely detail oriented. While other salons will rush you through to get through the service, our techs are sure that our manicures were exactly right. Will be recommending to everyone I know, and will definitely make this my go to salon!

I called ahead to see if they were accepting walk ins and they were! I was so pleasantly surprised by how clean the spa was. From the moment I walked in everyone was very friendly. Angie was my nail tech and she was an absolute doll. I’m new to the area and I definitely have found my go to girl! She gave me an excellent gel pedicure and do not try to shove more expensive services onto me. She was real and honest. My gel manicure she did is just beautiful! She pays attention to detail and truly connects with her clients. 10/10 would recommend this spa and Angie to everyone! Oh, and they have a bar! A BAR!

Terrible experience! You never know what master you will come across. The last time they failed to bring me the color I requested. The nails were shortened very short. The skin was sawn to the wound, which hurt a couple of days. The shape of the nails is different. They dont care about quality! Prices are very high! The quality is disgusting! Fast doesnt mean good! I dont recommend anyone to go here! They also want to tip out of habit! For what? It is you who owe me, not I, to pay you for such mockery!! Varnish was applied with cakes, which numb. Terrible ugliness. Born to crawl-cant fly!!!

I went for a pedicure, I got the deluxe package. The service was very good except the lady cut the nail on my right big toe very crooked, and the color I chose is not what I got. Funny thing was, 3 ladies getting pedicures to my right all chose different shades of pink than I did, but we all got the same wrong color. The massage chair went through 1 cycle and quit. My feet are nice and soft though.

This was my very first visit at Azulene Day Spa II and enjoyed the experience. I had my nails done by Diana, who has been doing my nails for two years. I will follow this lady anywhere! She has always done a fabulous job and I am NEVER disappointed. My nails are always complimented on. Again, this was my first visit to the spa and it was so beautiful and stylish. It bolstered such a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. The Staff members were so professional and nice. Also, Diana told me about additional services offered here and I will be definitely returning for nails, hair and microblading. 💖💖💖💖

I do lawn maintenance everyday for work and my skin gets very congested and unclean feeling over time, I came into the spa today to get a facial with Cadence, and it was absolutely amazing my skin always feels so refreshed and rejuvenated after she gives me a facial, so relaxing and such a great experience 10/10 recommend!

I was excited to make this appointment. However, my experience inside the salon could have been better. My technician was friendly but was very focused on other things during my 1 1/2 hour service. She was stopping to talk consistently, which is okay but it ran my time way over what I anticipated. I was also charged for gel polish for my black dipped nails. Technically they didnt need anything but a matte top coat, so the upsell was unnecessary but that my bad for falling for it.The reason Im writing this is because my nails were not applied correctly. They are all tilting up as if they are lifted already. This led to discomfort so I called and was told I could come in and get them looked at. I was unable to make an appointment that day (Saturday) due to my own schedule and the person who was going to be fixing them would be off for the next two days making it Tuesday before they could be fixed. My overall experience was poor. I ended up soaking the nails off and eating 60 dollars. Wouldnt recommend.

Absolutely LOVE this salon! I’ve been coming here since they opened, and always have had my nails done perfectly every single time. They can do anything from pink and White, to crazy nail designs. They are always up on the hottest nail trends and techniques. Every single tech there does quality work, they are extremely friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. Don’t waste your time or money with any other salons, this is the BEST one in Gainesville!

Lani didn’t understand English so was confused about what I asked for. Her husband, John, tried to translate after she had already made my nails too short and too round. I wasn’t upset. I was simply trying to see how they could be fixed. They started raising their voice with me. Lani then said she didn’t want to help me anymore with my nails half done and messed up. I had to sit and wait for someone else to do my nails. While I waited her husband who also works there told me I was causing problems for Lani. At that point I asked to see a supervisor and he told me one wasn’t there. After 15 minutes I got put with another esthetician who was extremely nice. A few minutes later someone came up saying they were the manager. I explained the situation and the manager was apologetic. Nonetheless I will never recommend or return. To pay as much as it costs to get your nails done but be embarrassed in front of other customers is inexcusable.

Staff was very nice and facility was very clean, spacious, and aesthetically beautiful. The pedicure was nicely done, but my cuticles were cut too short from the manicure and stung when washing my hands (a pet peeve of mine when getting manicures). I was also unknowingly upcharged and given many services I did not request (my final bill was double what I expected). The final result looked nice and only needed a few minor adjustments when I got home, but for the price I paid Id expect them to be perfect. The nails lasted over 3 weeks and only chipped when made a mistake with my kitchen knife. Overall disappointed with experience, especially for the price point. I wont be returning.

I’ve been going to Azulene for a few months now and it has been the best nail salon I have visited during the last five years in Gainesville by far. The salon is clean and I have never had an issue getting an appointment and timely service. Nathan is amazing and my nails have never been stronger or looked better! I get dip powder and he applies and removes it so carefully and gently that my nails have grown out and are super healthy. Have recommended this to all of my friends!

Do not get Lam. His “customer service” comes off creepy and pushy. I came in wanting one design and left with another because “pink and white is better” also wanted almond and he insisted I get coffin. Seems like he just wanted something easy he knows how to do quickly. For pedicure, I didn’t get gel nail polish and he was weirdly offended because that means less money for him so he did a rushed job and I don’t think I even got a proper top coat. He also “tickled” my feet during my pedicure which made me very uncomfortable. My acrylics came out pretty but he was VERY rough and it was painful every now and then that I would jerk my hand. When I went somewhere else to get a new set (because why would I go back to that?) my nails were very weak and they informed me that the prior person (Lam) drilled down way too much damaging my nail bed. Worst nail experience I’ve ever had. If you go here, avoid him.

What an amazing experience. Was not planning on getting a manicure and pedicure but was driving by and after a long hard week I decided I needed to pamper myself a little. I walked in and was immediately taken by the true spa like ambiance and atmosphere. The hostess was pleasant and informed me they were booked but if I didn’t mind waiting 15 minutes I could be seen. I asked if I could also get my eyebrows waxed and the esthetician came forward to offer that she was available and took me back. It was the nicest private waxing room and she did an amazing job on my eyebrows. I went back to the waiting room and Katherine the esthetician approached me again and said she’d had a cancellation and would be happy to do my pedicure and manicure. She showed me a spa menu, offered me a bottled water, and I chose the coconut milk spa package. Wow! Wow! Wow! The massage chair was the best I’d ever sat in and the pedicure and manicure was absolutely amazing. Fantastic relaxing atmosphere, super clean and sterile, soothing ambiance, great staff, and amazing customer service. I will most definitely be back!

My experience was amazing. I havent been to a salon in a year because of worries someone will screw up my hair again. Soon as I met Sandra, I felt comfortable. She did an amazing job and is so sweet and friendly. I am happy I found someone to continue to go back to that I trust. Everyone was so friendly and the place is so clean and beautiful.
