The Roxy

Loved!!!!, Sheppard of Fire that played on Saturday, January 28th, 2017! They rocked it!!!! & I got to celebrate my Birthday with friends, especially Chris, Sherri, Chris (bro), & best friend- Jason! :-) Great time with everyone including The Roxy Bar! Great late night food, fantastic drinks & shots for my birthday... was a great time!!!! :-)

I took over the ownership of The Roxy in March of 2014. We keep it as clean as we can. Other than some fruit flies in the spring and summer. Ive seen only one bug in the place during the last year. We make our burgers with fresh beef. We hand batter our chicken strips, onion rings and mushrooms. And weve got some damn good wings. When it comes to the music and events we have in the room. Im giving it as much diversity and variety as I can. The Roxy is the longest running nightclub and music hall in Overland Park, KS. And I plan on keeping it going for some years to come.

Great place to watch live music and the bartending service is very fast and efficient. Usually have a shot special for $2 and the acoustics are very good here. The have a couple of pool tables and Ive had many good times at the Roxy.

So, so, so much better since the new owner took over. The owner is super personable, and is often around working the bar. Weve been a few times to see a local show. Sometimes they even have a really cool burleque/vaudeville troupe in!

I also used to work here. They treat here. It is so gross! There are roaches all over the kitchen, they use expired foods, they dilute cleaning products. And I was fired for not waiting on another (rude) employee hand and foot when I had a full bar. Even the regulars talk trash on the owners and the place, but most are without cars etc, so its close to their home. The only nice person was the disabled guy who they treat like a slave. Horrible management.

Surprisingly good food, mostly made from scratch. Have some fried mushrooms and wings, trust me. Saw a few good metal bands there on a Saturday night. Good and varied turnout of folks there!

I would only go down here because of the fact,I know the bands who are playing. Other than that stay,in Kansas City. Plus seriously,Overland Park, SucKS! Yeah and dont eat the food there,plenty of good restaurants within less than a block!

I love it here. Cheap drinks and free pool. Never really crowded which is a plus. I hate bars where you cant hear yourself think and this bar is really laid back.

They are good, arranges Bollywood nights. They thought increased the entry fee to $15, since then I have gone

My son had a performance there thats only reason why I went but other than that it was fine it was cool atmosphere

Great place for live local music. Attentive bar service, draws some pretty big crowds!

Awesome place... they are closing soon... hurry out and see this place before its gone. I heard a rumor theyre going to have $.50 beers tomorrow!!!!!!!

Local bar, caters to live music, serves cheap drinks. What else do you need?

It looked more like a Chuck e Cheese with all the kids running around than a night place.

Fun little dive. Good prices and quick service.
